The hotel is highly praised for its beautiful and clean property, comfortable rooms, and excellent staff. Guests particularly enjoy the delicious breakfast and the cozy fireplace, but some mention mobility issues with steep stairs and a lack of immediate walking areas.

Very quaint inn with a comfortable room . We really enjoyed the coffee maker in room as well as the option to have a bottle of wine. Breakfast was excellent!!

We stayed in Room 1 and it was lovely. Breakfast was delicious!

A wonderful building, and a great host! The Bond Suite was amazing!
- 5/5
Perfect stay. I would describe as Beautiful, Impeccable accommodations with Amazing hospitality. We’ll be back!

What a great value. I loved visiting with them and the guests.
- 5/5
So cute while having all the amenities you could want. So clean and great food and coffee!!
- 5/5
Don’t let the location fool you. It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic. It feels homey, but one that an interior designer designed. From board games to an ice machine at the ready while in front of the fire…it was delightful. As was sitting on front porch with my coffee in a rocking chair. We will definitely return. Staff was lovely as well!

Lots of problems with the TV. Couldn’t get Olympics. Host fixed but sound was horrible. Resorted to captions. Room and breakfast lovely. Had to drive to town to swim but lake is pristine. Love the town and will be back.
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Highly recommend and delicious breakfast.
- 5/5
Our stay was absolutely amazing. The Bond is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. Corey was very kind of the homemade breakfast was a great touch to make the stay really special.
- 5/5
Hubby and I stayed one night for a quiet getaway. This is a lovely B&B. We will visit again!
- 5/5
The room and property is clean quite beautiful!
- 4/5
Such a great place to stay!!!
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean and wonderful attention to detail. The staff was able to make a last minute change for a room on the first floor. The fireplace was wonderful and fire ready to light on a very cold night.
- 5/5
LOVED LOVED LOVED this cute little place. Maybe the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, with awesomely soft bamboo sheets. Good breakfast, nice amenities, we loved sitting on the couch in front of the fire.
- 5/5
Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great experience. Katie was delightful!
- 4/5
Very nice and welcoming!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, and delicious breakfast in the morning, couldn’t ask for anything more!!
- 5/5
The property is beautiful, with both outdoor and indoor seating areas. Corey (owner) and Katie are wonderful hostesses. The room we had is small but comfortable and well equipped. It's an old place with sloping floors and low ceilings, but updated with a great combination of old and new. The only suggestion I would have is that if you have mobility issues, go for one of the ground floor rooms. The stairs to the upstairs rooms are very steep and narrow - which add to the charm, but would be a concern for some.
- 5/5
This really is a special B&B. Wonderfully quiet place is a picturesque location. And the staff couldn't be friendlier. Ideal spot for a romantic getaway.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved staying at this property! Everything was so cozy and welcoming, from the room to the staff. Katie is an excellent inn keeper! Would absolutely recommend this property for anyone staying in the Skaneateles area!
- 5/5
This place was amazing. A quick drive into town, free on site parking, lake views from the front porch, and the coziest common area. Our room was on the second floor and the steps were quite steep. No issue for us but, as the site warns, wouldn’t be good for those with mobility issues or if bringing lots of luggage, etc. We stayed during a time of year when breakfast is typically suspended but we still had delicious pastries and fresh coffee waiting for us in the morning. Can’t recommend enough!
- 3/5
There was no one at the Inn to greet us. That was fine. Instructions were left as to entry. Our Suite was roomy and clean. More light/ lamps were needed and at first we had trouble figuring out heating unit but eventually we did. The bathroom was large but we did not appreciate the open design. There was no door for privacy - which made the toilet area particularly awkward. The handle in the shower was described as “quirky” but clearly it was in need of repair. The morning staff was lovely but breakfast was just ok. A small menu choice and no fruit , muffins or yogurt was ever an offering. That was a little disappointing. As for value, the Bond was overpriced for what it offered. For thursday and friday night it cost a total of $772. Skaneateles is a lovely place to visit. Next time I think we will try the Sherwood Inn in town. It is less expensive , with great food and a convenient location.
- 5/5
Beautiful aesthetic, wonderful breakfasts - including an option of Mimosas and Bloody Marys along with your morning coffee. The staff was amazing and we enjoyed the views of the lake and the gorgeous fall leaves every morning while eating breakfast. Skaneateles is hands-down the best town in the Finger Lakes with beautiful shops and great restaurant options and this was a nice setting just outside of the downtown area.
- 5/5
The Bond is a very nice and welcoming B&B. Corey and crew are kind and friendly! They make a tasty breakfast too!
- 5/5
Nice, Quiet, and Relaxing. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was super sweet.
- 5/5
10 out of 10 across the board!
- 5/5
Very good.
- 5/5
Beautiful setting. Room is well appointed and spacious
- 5/5
Beautiful home and room set up. Only complaint would be that the property owner texted us the day we checked in with some details, including breakfast outside our door around 8:15 in the morning only to find out that does not happen during the off season. We weren’t expecting it either just seemed like they went out of there way to let us know about something they knew wouldn’t happen…. Other than that, very satisfied.
- 5/5
Exceeded expectations with cleanliness and comfort. This is a must stay B&B.
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Perfect stopover to Niagara Falls. Yummy breakfast.
- 5/5
The fireplace was very nice...mark had the prepared the logs, etc. So when we returned from our evening out we could light the fire n enjoy the ambience of this beautiful home before retiring
- 5/5
Wow! What a fantastic stay - The property has lots of history and has been beautifully renovated. We immediately felt at home. The owners are very kind and hospitable. If you’re near Skaneateles, you need to check this one out!
- 5/5
Beautiful location and great staff!
- 4/5
Looking forward to a return trip!
- 5/5
Absolutely fantastic!! Will keep coming back!!
- 4/5
I wish it was clearer the property is not lake front but you can see the lake across the street instead. The tv and coffee maker didn’t work in the room. I think for the cost they should have had free water bottles in the room.
- 5/5
We had a really lovely stay, the breakfast was wonderful and the hosts are great. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Mark and Corey are very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas, offering ideas for dining, activities and sight seeing. Meeting other guests over breakfast was a really fun and enriching experience, made possible by the atmosphere created by the hosts. We would definitely recommend The Bond to anyone looking to relax in a quiet, restful and lovely farmhouse setting. 5 stars ! Thanks for the memories, Corey and Mark!
- 5/5
We had an incredible time, can't wait for our next visit.
- 5/5
We very much enjoyed our night at this tastefully and sensitively updated and modernized almost 200 year old farmhouse. Owners and staff are lovely, thoughtful, and efficient, providing an excellent breakfast and quality dinner recommendations. The house is so clean you could eat off the floors! Our only suggestion is installing screens on all windows so they could be opened for fresh air at night.
- 5/5
Well done (recent) renovation on this property creates the perfect Bed & Breakfast experience! It is located mid-lake, perfect location for a quick trip into the village or around the lake. The hosts go out of their way to provide ease of check-in/out, area suggestions, and exceptional breakfasts. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the finger lakes.
- 5/5
Beautiful home with great hosts. Delicious breakfast, attentive hosts, great recommendations for dinner in town.
- 5/5
Lovely staff, owner and gourmet breakfast. Will return and recommend. Very sweet town and shops. Romantic and special.
- 5/5
Lovely owners.
- 5/5
Amazing b&b! Clean, cosy, idyllic and perfect. Corey and Marc were so friendly! Breakfast was perfect too and who doesn’t love to open a fridge full with wine and drinks in the room (plus snacks) after a long car ride.
- 5/5
Beautiful place by the Skaneateles lake. Quaint but nice. Clean and with all amenities. Extremely friendly and good hosts - Corey and Mark. Very hospitable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- 5/5
Property was very well maintained. Room was extremely clean and just like presented on website.
- 4/5
My only issue was that it was 20 degrees outside when we arrived and the room was very cold when we got in. But the owners were very responsive and helped us resolve the issue.
- 5/5
This was a great stay. Very cute and set up like a bnb. They even did some pastries on the last day for breakfast due to a full house. Renovations were beautiful and the owners made sure we found great places to go for our stay here. I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Hosts are excellent. Breakfasts included are excellent. Property is excellent. Enjoy the lake view and close proximity to the town!
- 5/5
This our third stay at The Bond 1835 and we have been extremely happy with each stay. The decor is lovely and the rooms are well appointed with amenities, really comfortable beds and high end linens. Breakfast at The Bond is always the highlight of our stay and Mark and Corey couldn’t be any more gracious. If you find yourself needing a great place to stay in the Finger Lakes region, I cannot recommend The Bond enough. We fell in love with Skanteateles and The Bond 1835!
- 5/5
Everything at the bond was wonderful from the minute we got there until the minute we left!
- 5/5
The property is charming and well appointed. Breakfast is delicious.

Corey is so nice n easy to talk to and it's obvious she really cares about her business. My nephew said the place is beautiful!!!! And sent me a photo of their beautiful Breakfast in Bed.
- 5/5
Super nice and friendly, yet still professional, couple who own and run the hotel/B&B - nice view, beautifully refurbished and restored to using original materials and delicious breakfast
- 5/5
so exquisite place to stay... cozy and so relaxing...breakfast is the best... Very Gentle Hosts
- 5/5
Wonderful b&b just short drive from main village area in Skaneateles. Modern country character, pretty garden and sitting area. Our room had huge beautifully redone bathroom.
- 5/5
The B&B was very well maintained. The breakfasts were very good. Since they had the room the guests were able to spread out very comfortably for breakfast. The owners were lovely people who enjoyed speaking with their guests. They were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and local attractions.
- 5/5
We visited during the CORONA outbreak, so we did not get to experience the Bond in its full glory. But we had a great time. The hosts are truly remarkable people who go out of their way to make the guests feel welcome.
- 5/5
What a wonderful bed and breakfast! The room was clean and they provided everything you could possibly need, including snacks and wine for purchase. We loved the homemade pastries and coffee the next morning. The owners are wonderful people, if you have a chance definitely chat with them, they are very knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Very comfortable bed ! We will be back in the early summer !
- 5/5
Lovely B&B with view of the lake. The Bond room is huge and beautifully appointed with a very comfortable king sized bed. Great breakfast. Very nice proprietors. Looking forward to returning!

- 5/5
Friendly hosts. Knowledgeable about the area. And a charming area it is. Shops, wineries, restaurants with superior menus. All close to this lovely inn.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience!! Casey and Mark are great cooks and good company. Lovely location.
- 5/5
Really cannot go wrong with this high end B&B.
- 5/5

Mark and Corey the Inn Keepers could not have been more accommodating. They were friendly, helpful, and even made us dinner reservations. The property was beautiful, clean and well maintained with a lot of little thoughtful touches. We would highly recommend!
- 5/5
amazing breakfast and hospitality of the owners. Would definitely like to go back in the near future.
- 5/5
We loved this property. It had a great location, across the street from the lake, and close to downtown Skaneateles, but quiet enough to relax. Corey and Mark were wonderful hosts. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was great too, especially the pastries from the local bakery. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay at this property again if we return to the area.
- 5/5
Loved our stay. Hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast delicious. The property was beautiful. A great place to relax.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable, well designed and the location is very convenient to everything. Breakfast the morning after a concert at Beak & Skiff the night before was awesome! Cory and Mark are amazing!
