property is magnificent. spa is lovely as is the restaurant. food was ok -- but the restaurant itself was fabulous.

One of the best places I stayed in upstate New York. the massage was amazing. The food was incredible. Can’t wait to do it again.

Small but very beautiful & upscale experience. Spa was wonderful. Pricey but very nice. Everything was high quality & it was a great experience even in the winter. Loved the French /Monet theme. Even the furniture was detailed that way. Very clean & staff very accommodating.

Having not been for a couple of decades a last minute visit took us there yesterday to escape the frigid cold and we were delighted. The staff was courteous, under stated and professional as you might hope and from the lovely beamed ceiling bar to the beautifully appointed dining room the place excused comfortable elegance. Dinner was delightful, selections for libations extensive and the room wonderfully appointed. My plus one seemed equally delighted with her spa visit albeit was busy. If we had a complaint it was that we could find no thermostat in the room and it was pretty warm in there. Too much to consider the fire place for example but the overall experience was still great and this may well have just been user error. Thumbs up. Pricey but worth it category if the budget allows.

Cleanliness, staff, amenities.

Absolutely lovely experience. You will not be disappointed to spend a special weekend here. We just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary here. Beautiful facility, amazing food and drink , absolutely accommodating for gluten-free safe foods and drinks, and our cottage was gorgeous. The staff went above and beyond to make everything incredible for us and this is our new favorite place in the world.

The room was OK, a little outdated. One thing which unpleasantly surprised, is the limited number of toiletries; shampoo, conditioner, and soap were in the big containers, which, I am afraid, were not intended for disposal after a personal use… besides, it was a smaller bottle of rosemary spray for shower, which I picked because I was sure it was included in the rate… I was wrong, I was charged $18 ten hours after I checked out.

Excellent and service. Spa was wonderful with all services available.

Staff was distracted and neither greeted us promptly upon arrival nor bid us good bye. New system implementation definitely reduced what should have been a pleasant visit.

We will not recommend this property because of the Staff. The staff is completely untrained. The receptionist does not have basic training and knowledge. She did not even know the location of the room. We unfortunately read reviews after we booked the Hotel because of the very nice pictures and cancellation was not possible. Because of bad reviews we did not want to give our credit card details. The receptionist asked us to deposit $1000 in cash because we did not want to give the Credit Card. We asked for the written policy of the Hotel for such incidentals, it turned out that the Hotel policy was $500. There was nobody available to take out luggage to the room. The restaurant was empty and the manager was aggressive, impolite and asking if we have a reservation. Service at the restaurant was worse than at a one star hotel. My halibut was not fresh, led to a bad stomach at night. A very BAD experience and completely NOTHING about the property for the price charged. At the end of the stay they gave us a 15% discount on the room rate but still $630 for One night for this property is completely unjustified.

Beautiful pond area, relaxing outdoor hottub with waterfall, steam room, and loved the salmon dinner.

Staff was freindly but not helpful. Was promised to special arrangements for my girlfriend who had a birthday nothing was done. Restoran over expessive no apropriat service. Room service is take the order neve delivered it

The architecture and gardens were beautiful! Highly recommend rooms with a patio overlooking the gardens. We had breakfast delivered to our room and ate on the patio. The perfect way to start the day...

I thought the property was too tight. Not spread out enough

Absolutely beautiful setting. The room could have had a bit more light but otherwise it was fabulous. It is a very unique and charming setting. Staff bent over backwards to accomodate any requests we had. We had a wonderful stay. It is expensive but well worth it!!!

The staff at Mirbeau are the best we've encountered in all of our travels! They are kind, giving and always pleasant to the nth degree!!!

The property and spa facilities are top notch, incredibly good service. Only criticism would be that the rooms are a bit dated from a design perspective. But still very comfortable and spotless.

We enjoyed our two night stay in at Mirbeau in early April. The spacious room was clean and the corner fireplace made it feel luxurious and cozy at the same time. Dining on the heated patio for both dinner and breakfast did not disappoint. Overall, the hotel and spa service and facilities were excellent. We will definitely return.

Mirbeau is a close proximity getaway. The outdoor hot tub and fireplace is so worth an overnight stay. The beds are so comfortable with spacious bathrooms. We also always enjoy the spa. Great girlfriend getaway with lots of shopping in town.

Staff was all very attentive and friendly.

It was really good time there. I saw some reviews said the spa is packed so I was worried since it’s holiday time but the time we went is perfectly fine. I would recommend to people who want some getaway and spa time.

A nice relaxing atmosphere. I just wish they had more things included as it’s expensive to eat & drink here. Not everyone drinks coffee in their room and it’s $16 for a pot of tea! Plus gratuity and service fee.

Perfect getaway for pampering

We enjoyed 4 nights at the Mirbeau Inn but did not take advantage of the spa which was a mistake. The bar is very nice and welcoming and our breakfast was outstanding and reasonably priced. While on the pricey side overall it was a good experience.

Relaxing due to it Monet inspired surroundings.

Everything about my stay soothed my heart. My goal was to tend to my mental health and this environment provided all I needed for that. I appreciate the experience.

Can't say enough good things about this place. This was a wedding anniversary trip and it was everything we wanted it to be. They even taught us how to pronounce "Skaneateles" when we checked in!

The flower garden is absolutely spectacular---right out of a Monet painting.

Seems like a very nice place I understand this was off-season and flowers were not in bloom but the outside needed a lot of TLC and the sink in our bathroom was clogged and the restaurant was very good but we sat on the patio and the patio definitely needed some work!

Bucolic hotel in beautiful town of amazing shops and restaurants. Not far from Cayuga Lake wineries.

This was a great place to get away for a few nights. The staff was very friendly, food was fantastic and the spa was incredible. This was a birthday getaway for my wife and she hasn’t stopped talking about it 2 weeks later. Went far beyond my expectations.

This was our 1st day at Mirbeau. It was excellent all around from the service to our comfort. Really enjoyed the spa, restaurant and vlose proximity to town. Already planning our next trip.

Amazing service!!! Loved the hot tub but pleeease be more clear on your website that children aren't allowed. We drove 5 hours for the kids thinking they could use a pool!

I stayed at Mirbeau for a COVID-safe, quick getaway. Our room was large, with oversized bathroom and fireplace. The food at the upscale hotel restaurant was very good, and hotel grounds were beautiful in the winter. They had COVID-safe practices (temperature check, requiring masks, etc.) My only criticisms were that checkin is at 4--and I am not a fan of upscale resorts "not having your room ready" until the exact checkin time. Having arrived less than an hour before, I would expect my room to be ready--especially in light of the fact that during a pandemic, there is really no place to "hang around" until your room is ready. We were forced to drive into town, and figure out something to do for 45 minutes rather than wait in our car. Lastly, I'd recommend staying mid-week. Rooms are less expensive then, and the weekend crowds are not there, so you have the place mostly to your self. Overall, lovely stay.

This was a self-care girls trip for 1 night. It was only 3 of us which was perferct. Everything was great from the accommodations to the food to the spa treatment. Would definitely return soon.

A really beautiful resort. Intimate. Great service - cleaned the snow off of my car every morning and shoveled the pathway between my room and car. A really nice fitness room - in top condition and very clean.

A fabulous couple’s escape.

Awesome place very relaxing next time I will certainly stay for two nights instead of one.

Extremely well run during covid. Beautiful area. Staff was very receptive and quick to every request we had. We brought a 15 month old baby with us to see the surrounding area more than use the facilities but they were so helpful and accommodating with a baby in tow.

Mirbeau Inn is such a special place. Every last detail is thought of - rooms are amazingly decorated with a feel of coziness and elegance. The amenities really takes the experience above and beyond. With access to a sauna, steam room, relaxation room, outdoor hot tub and fitness classes, you really can have an amazing trip without leaving the grounds.

Absolutely loved our stay! Every single staff member we talked to was super friendly and helpful. They did temperature checks at the front door and everyone wore masks, so we felt safe. The facilities and amenities were fabulous, and we really loved the lake and the town of Skaneateles. Can’t wait to go back!

The hot waterfall tub was incredible. The salt water was soothing. The beds were like clouds. The only downfall was once the hot tub closed, so did all the dining.

Extra resort with great customer service. Clean and well maintained

We were disapointed in the dining experience. Again, the staff was wonderful, but the food was not excellent and the price was VERY high for what we received.

On this visit, there was a lot of repairs being done on the change rooms for the spa. What was particularly poor was no notice was given till we were signing in (we had the reservation for over 3 weeks). Given that we travelled from outside the US, and they had our email / telephone numbers, I would have expected some notification BEFORE arrival that not all facilities would be available (and an opportunity to change our reservation). In addition, the service in the dining room was very poor (45 minutes late opening, 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee, another 10 for cream). When asked if there was anything else (once cream arrived), I mentioned some breakfast would be nice (was ordered at same time coffee had arrived). According to my wife, this was greeted with rolling eyes. Needless to say, we didn't eat there for the rest of our stay!! (we had stayed at the resort on several occasions before, but this trip was particularly bad; and probably our last)

Property was beautiful especially the gardens. Service was great at the bar thanks to Ed and TJ.

This is a higher end facility with a price tag to go with it. It is very nice, a little snobbish front desk, but everyone else very pleasant. Had dinner at the restaurant and again a little pricey, but very good.

The natural beauty. The Staff are wonderful! The rooms are elegant, rustic and charming.

Beautiful property. Close to town. Loved having the bikes available to explore. Beautiful spa. Only complaint was the pillows on the bed are horrible.
