Best Western Ponderosa Lodge

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The property was beautiful. Having a alpaca farm on the grounds was a fun amenity. Great pool and clean rooms.

Breakfast was yummy. Staff were attentive and smiled!!! Liked our room very much… comfortable pillows too. (The grass/ garden outside the room was beautifully kept!) Would have preferred a king bed but still happy with the comfort of the queen beds. :))

I've stayed here for an event two years in a row. Depending on what you're looking for it fits for the area with a cabin like feel and live Alpaca's that you can see up close. It's a pretty cool place to see while in the area.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful property in a great location and well maintained. Breakfast was only so-so in my opinion. The OJ was terrible.

Outside pool could have been maintained better, lots of floating pine needles in it. The hot tub was hot but there was no obvious way to find where the controls were to turn on the jets. Otherwise a good stay.

Ponderosa lodge was absolutely beautiful. The property is well maintained. The staff was absolutely amazing. Very kind and friendly. Breakfast was amazing! The reputation for the breakfast exceeded itself. There were so many options to eat. Everything was fresh. It was a clean area. You have the option to eat inside or outside.

My first Best Westen stay and I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. I absolutely adored the Alpacas and the breakfast was great! When I first attempted to check in, I did encounter an employee (Jo) who made me feel very unwelcome and inconvenienced when I asked if it was possible to accommodate an early check in. I wasn’t expecting anything for free, I was more than willing to pay. She was dismissive and rude. I was actually nervous to come back at the 4pm check in time. I decided to contact the customer service line and was almost immediately accommodated with an early check in. The male staff that greeted me (NOT the woman named Jo) was so kind and professional. And during my 4 day stay I had nothing but wonderful service and everyone was so friendly. Maybe Jo was having a bad day, but I felt compelled to explain how some of her commentary made me feel. I do recommend this Best Western, it was wonderful.

Room was very clean. Very good complimentary breakfast selections. Alpaca farm next door was fun to watch. Close to everything.

We were unable to use my 94 year old mom's portable bed rail because there wasn't a box spring and mattress, but we managed.

The whole place is lovely. We had a pet-friendly room so ground floor going right out to their spacious grassy area. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast comes with your stay and we'll be back!

This place is amazing. The lodge-style room really felt more like a cabin and so cozy! Suite had an amazing jetted tub and SO much room. Cozy couch, cozy bed, warm fireplace. Amazing breakfast spread in the morning. We had a hard time leaving!

Staff were friendly. Free breakfast was unexpected and had a large range of hot options that satisfied vegetarian and omnivore eaters. Room was quiet despite being near the highway and it’s cool to see ponderosa forest and alpaca out the balcony windows. Hotel is across the street from a large grocery store and fast food options. Within a mile of easy walking are many cafes, restaurants, shopping, and walking/biking trails. Hiking trails and cross country ski trails 10minutes drive, and downhill skiing within 30minutes. No complaints

Yes, and great staff

The staff was really nice. The room was clean, however, the little kitchen area could have used a little more effort. Also, the other negative was the coffee in the room was awful. Not sure if it was the coffee or the water in the coffeemaker. Putting that aside, we will definitely stay there again. Very relaxing and a good location. The breakfast was also good with a great variety of choices.

The bathtub was broke was holding water while in the shower, beds were so uncomfortable. We almost packed up at 3 am and left. The room smelled like dog pee..property was beautiful and the staff was amazing. The rooms just need some maintenance/upkeep

Property is really nice, grass is gorgeous, alpaca and deer nearby, which is fun. Room really nice and spacious. Rooms are clean for sure, could use a deep clean though, ie corners in the bathroom and light switches are dirty. Overall it’s a great hotel, pleasant staff and great location. Would stay again. 👍

We stayed in the Aspen suite and it was amazing!!! The room was spacious and we loved the log cabin look. There are alpacas on the property and we could see them from our room. We will definitely be back!!!

The staff were top-notch, informative & kind. Loved the bird feeders & quiet space in back of property.

This place was very comfortable, uncrowded and clean. The only issue we had was a very loud air conditioner that caused interrupted sleeping.

We’ve enjoyed this property for 2 years now. Rooms are good size and love having ground floor to just walk on over to the pool. The breakfast was an added bonus (and the sweet Alpaca farm adjoining the place). “Best” Best Western we’ve stayed by far.

The top floor rooms have high ceilings and a great balcony. This is the perfect lodging fir a family and we will stay here again.

We love the ambience of the Ponderosa, so are always happy to return. Decor, grounds, alpaca viewing and breakfast are just the best. Wish we could have stayed a week!

Cleanliness was not great. It was a pet room and had an odor of previous pets. The interior was in need of repair as the molding was falling off the walls. Cobwebs.

It was a lovely nights stay. When we finally got down to the hotel, the staff was very gracious and accommodating. The breakfast was very tasty and the grounds were excellent.

It’s a great property. The only thing missing is an elevator for us older folks, but we could have requested the ground level. They were available.

The size of rooms with a jacuzzi tub is really unmatched for a motel. This is probably the nicest motel in the Oregon Cascades. Very clean and quaint.

I love this hotel. It has a great location. The morning breakfast is amazing. The rooms are an excellent size. My only concern was the cleanliness of the jetted tub. I had the clean it before I used it. The grounds are nice.

Our family had a winter wonderland vacation and stayed here. It was clean, beautiful great customer service and the food was delicious will definitely be coming back!

Lovely suite with view of the alpacas. Cozy fireplace. Excellent jacuzzi spa bath tub. I only wish the pillows were firmer. But that's a personal preference. I need to start traveling with my own pillow I'm getting old. Free breakfast was great. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon. Waffle maker. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

It’s was a great stay. The kids enjoyed all the amenities (including the jacuzzi). My only complaint was the hotel doesn’t use any comforters on the bed but it was comfortable overall. Would come again.

Check in was great and smooth. Room as really nice as always. Went out for dinner and the outside lights were off. Came back and called the front desk as the lights were still out and thank god for cell phones. Pitch black. Chairs at table were very uncomfortable. But had a great stay

We travelled with our two dogs and the room was excellent. We were given a room that we could walk out onto the grass from our huge sliding doors and the alpacas were there to entertain us! The shower was great and the bed comfortable! Nice to have a fridge in the room but there were no dishes or cutlery other than a couple of wine glasses (which i appreciated) and two small glasses. Great spot in Sisters!

We enjoyed the friendly staff, the large (and safe) grassy area for our dog, the walk-out patio, and the alpacas. The staff at breakfast and check-in were terrific! We had been traveling for 5 nights, this was our last night on the road and it was the best by far! Wonderful!

Our 3 nights at the Best Western Ponderosa were wonderful. Very clean room, great bed, great staff, we highly recommend this hotel.

Love the llamas! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, breakfast, convenience (it’s close to downtown Sisters, Oregon. Didn’t like that our door lock wouldn’t work, but they fixed it pretty quickly.

Room suite was terrific - in great shape and tons of room. Great bed. Breakfast on site was outstanding and short little ride back into Sisters gave lots of dining /shopping options.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly but massively overpriced for a standard room.

My bathroom tub had long hair and pubic hair in it. The room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, but housekeeping was gone for the day once we arrived so I had to go get cleaning supplies from the front desk and clean it myself. They offered me a discount then later said they couldn’t give me one because I booked through a 3rd party.

The room is very dark, but large. Lots of seating but not very comfortable. It’s an okay stay but a bit too pricey for the quality. I won’t be going back.
