I am not sure if this is a Marriott Bonvoy thing or not!

Breakfast buffet was exceptional and the outdoor pool and hot tub were so well maintained. It is a great hotel for relaxing and taking a rest day on a trip!
- 3/5
Also the pay for parking was awkward.
- 2/5
Cleaning staff did not replenish supplies ( had to call numerous time and have things brought that should have been done during cleaning). Cleaning staff left door unsecured (not latched when we returned in the evening), anyone could have walked in and taken everything. Overall a poor experience and would not recommend.

Very nice place to stay, clean and comfortable. The only negative thing is the very expensive daily parking

This is poor to the Marriott brand and poor by the staff of the hotel. Seeing a big sign at the entrance about paying to park in an open lot in a suburban area makes no sense-- this is not a downtown area, there is a large shopping center across the street, and open parking lots of businesses next door. This must be changed and all guest should be compensated in some ways. If it were not a family celebration for my 9 year daughter on her birthday, i would have cancelled my reservation. Please review and fix. We have never seen this absent major dowtown areas-- Atlanta, Philly, DC, New York, Chicago, etc-- and never when it was not a parking garage and limitations in parking spaces. Horrible.

Would highly recommend, great for families, near shopping. Great breakfast included.

I thought my room was large and lovely. the breakfast was very good too. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. However, no one told me about the new rule that no one would clean my room. I didnt make a mess and just wanted the bed made and garbage taken out. I was horrified to come back at night and see my unmade bed. This is not a low quality hotel. I expected a quality stay and to say I was annoyed is an understatement. The hotel is not charging less, but giving less to the guest.

Front desk reception man from Ethiopia (can’t remember his name) was excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. He checked me in.

The room did not feel as clean/fresh as expected. The bathroom counters & tub smelled like a slightly sour rag/hint of smoke. The room didn't seem dusty, but carpet appeared older & my allergies were difficult to manage while in the room. TV was grainy.

I booked a two bedroom suite, it was clean and quiet. My family are very happy and satisfied

The room was in good shape and clean but the the toilet was too close to the bathroom door. The shower current was in need of replacing. The current one did not keep water in the bath when the shower was in use. The grounds were in need of cleaning up but that will come once the snow melts to a level that allows its removal. I did not appreciate paying for parking which I guess was needed. The instructions provided to pay were woefully inadequate and needs to be more complete.

The room was spotless. The heat in the room did not work well. We had to set the thermostat to 78, to get the temp to 72. There was bottled water in the room, but a $7 charge per bottle. That was outrageous. The TV could not be turned off using the remote. We had to unplug it for the screen fully off. The staff was courteous and amazing. The breakfast was terrible though. The hot food was cold, the cereal, yogurt, and muffins were all we ate. It was an overall ok stay, but I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Loved the pool, hot tub. Loved the room layout, and that we had everything we needed to cook in the room. The bed is too small. It also is listed as a king on the website but it is not a king sized bed. It is a full at the most. Too small for two people. I don’t agree with having to pay for parking. I feel that the rooms are priced such that parking should be free.

This hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning was great and always well stocked. I would’ve given them 5 stars but I don’t agree with having to pay to park on the private hotel lot. I also don’t like the size of the bed, it’s listed as a queen but seemed more like a full size. Very small!

Clean Staff wasn’t knowledgeable didn’t explain about incidentals or parking charge that I wasn’t aware about until after checkout , also wanted to pay with different payment and card kept declining because of staff not being knowledgeable of how to perform split payment , no management on site to assist

Property is clean. First, the night concierge (Feleke(?)) accused us of photoshopping the screenshot from booking reservation. This hotel is old and needs serious updating . We frequently stay at Marriott hotels and this one is the oldest looking rooms we have stayed at. Also this location is far from DC downtown, it’s about 40 - 50 minutes drive. Amenities are also lacking. Laundry machines only take quarters ($3 per load and another $3 to dry; 45 minutes). Pools close at 8PM (they put chain padlocks on the gate), there’s a basketball min court but when it gets dark the court is dark too eventhough there’s court lights they do not turn it on. Breakfast ends at 8AM (we didn’t even bother going). Parking is not free, $12/ overnight.

The room that we got was nice. The sofa bed was a bit dirty with food crumbs when we opened it. The door job to the bedroom was wiggly and we didn’t feel safe to close the door in case we couldn’t open it. We noticed it later that evening and couldn’t say anything earlier to the staff. Overall our stay was great just wished we didn’t have to pay extra for parking.

Two big problem - 1. the tv remote did not work for the two days - no one came to fix it - I had to unplug the TV. 2. The man working the breakfast did not care when I showed him how the brown sugar was disgusting with a very dirty spoon that had melted brown sugar on it from people using it to mix their oatmeal - very disgusting - and there was all kinds and a lot of other foreign material in the brown sugar - I showed it to him and he began to dig his finger into the brown sugar to pull out the many many foreign object - that was crazy to see with no gloves - I poured out the sugar in the trash and made him make a whole new cup for customers - and I made him replace the spoon. He was very unprofessional and only did the right thing after I said I would get the manager. He is a very poor representative - and clearly a family member or he would never have this job. I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. I was surprised at how spacious the room was, the cleanliness and how much storage space there was. Also, the facilities in the room were fantastic. You could easily cook yourself a fresh meal. Breakfast was good and fresh but could do with a bit more variety. A nice touch was having coffee in the lobby.

Wonderful experience! Feels like a mini vacation. Breakfast simple and pleasant. Love looking out my window and the pool and sunshine shining through so bright! Only thing I don’t like is that guests have to pay for parking. That should be included to make it more affordable for all. I will continue visiting here if parking policy changes in the future. Great front desk service!

This hotel was surprisingly nice. I hadn’t realized there was a kitchen. There was tons of dresser and drawer space, including little shelves on the bathroom wall to put your toiletries on. Breakfast wasn’t terrible :) and the coffee was pretty good. It was easy to get an early check in and a late checkout. My only complaint would be that they charged for parking, which I thought was RIDICULOUS - it is just an outdoor lot, and maybe 100 yards away there’s free parking for target, petsmart, and aldi’s, etc.

However, we had two complaints: the Expedia listing said “parking available “ but on arrival we were required to register with an online parking app. I am seeing a $20 charge to my credit card! I think the listing should have clearly stated “parking available for a fee “. Secondly we struggled with the tv. First we struggled to turn it on and then at night it turned on a bright gray screen several times in the wee hours (which we couldn’t turn off). I had to unplug it to get some rest.

I liked the size of my room and the kitchen. I was not happy to find out that I had to pay $12/day for parking in addition to the hotel room when I checked in. I just tried to book another room on the Marriot Bonvoy website and there is no mention of parking fees. The paid parking was an unwelcome surprise. Also, I had trouble with the WiFI and had to call tech support to get it to work.

The staff are very nice, the food is nice and the rooms are great. Although I had a couple of mechanical problems (leaky faucet and broken ice maker) the staff was more than willing to fix, but I declined for it to wait until after my stay. I managed very well, it was nice to just rest and get away. I do suggest reflector poles at the entrance where there is a lane divider. The area is a bit dim and the divider was hard to see. Otherwise, this was one of many visit and I plan to come back again soon. My visits are usually for much needed rest to reset and be alone, I'm grateful for the opportunity and lovely rooms. I have always put Marriott first for a friendly family hotel that remains warm and inviting. Blessings and thank you for all you do. PS, I didn't like paying for parking but I understand the need to cover cost.

I loved the property and my room. Parking was easy and I love a free breakfast. I did not love that it sounded like the Jolly Green Giant was in the room above me. Nor did I like that I could hear voices and snoring on the other side of my headboard. And there was the guest loudly arguing & cursing on his phone in the presence of a child. BUT, these experiences say more about the structural quality of the building and the guest themselves, than anything else. I certainly don’t hold it against Marriott. That said, I did opt to leave a day early because I just wasn’t sleeping well. The hotel DID NOT penalize me for leaving early which says A LOT about management. THANK YOU! All the employees were friendly, professional, and always had on a smile. I went back and forth on whether to share the negative, but decided to in the interest of painting a complete picture of my experience. I could have had an entirely different experience in another room. Despite my experience I would recommend this location.

We had a wonderful stay and the breakfast was good. The guests were really noisy (Fri and Sat night). Otherwise, a great place to stay and it was convenient.

I was spoken to in a very rude manner. When I asked for a manager I was told I can call the next day

Great apartment like studio room. It’s basic - no luxury bed or amazing views but super comfortable. Easy parking. Very limited food. .

On Sunday morning around 7:30 am, we were startled by water leaking from the light fixture in our bathroom. This was a terribly unpleasant way to wake up on such a special day. While we appreciate the prompt attention of your attendant who switched our rooms, our disappointment continued when we discovered mold in the shower ceiling of the new room. Unfortunately, this prevented us from being able to use the shower facilities, and we felt compelled to check out at 6:00 am today, cutting our stay short. I understand that unforeseen issues can arise, but the combination of a water leak and mold in successive rooms has left us with a deeply unsatisfactory experience. I am requesting a FULL REFUND! I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider steps to prevent such incidents in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Property was clean and quiet. The towels in the room were thin and worn and even had holes.

The room was small. The maid only cleaned our room one time during our stay we had garbage in our room for 3 days and every night we had to call down for clean towels, so we had 4 days of dirty towels stacked on the floor. After we checked out I noticed an additional 10.00 charge on my card and called the hotel and was told it was for incidentals, now they had all ready held money on my card for incidentals when I checked in , so why the additional $10.00. I will never stay at another Residence Hotel by Marriott ever again.

The overall quality of the hotel. Very clean inside and outside. The breakfast could add a little more choices. Other than that, I given it very high rating and would definitely choose it again

Check in desk receptionist was personable. Lobby and front of building well kept and beautifully manicured lawn. Room was comfortable and large.

This place was clean, the room was well lit and comfortably laid out. It was quiet, and the staff was lovely. The only problem was that we booked it because it was advertised as a completely "non-smoking" hotel. I was awakened at 5AM by the smell of cigarette smoke coming into the room through the ventilation system. This was super disappointing.

My second time here ; the place is still nice

How, it was advertised poorly on this app. The room I booked using hotels.com stated that it was a 2 bedroom suite, with 2 double beds. There was only two bedrooms with ((one bed))in each room. The front desk stated that this service did not exist. All of my guest were unable to stay and had to purchase additional rooms.

Nothing special. It met our needs. Room was roomy and kitchen well equipped. Good location to reach major roads. Nice desk space for traveling business people.

The front desk clerk was very professional and courteous. The studio suite was just amazing and the breakfast was not bad.

I so not have any compliants, however when staying for a long period of time a varied breakfast menu would be great - a healthier alternative. Thanks

The hotel fit exactly what I needed. Privacy for myself and my teen, very clean, and near the zoo. This was a stopover on a long trip and was very pleased at the location and the cleanliness of this hotel

Nice hotel. Bed was comfortable place was clean. They don’t have ice machines but they did give ice if you asked. Pool area looked nice. Laundry section if needed and nice breakfast.

The hotel offers convenience at its best. Will definitely come back here.

My room was very clean and the staff was very nice. Everything seem so organized. Great hotel!

I thought that the amenities were sorely lacking, considering the near $500 price, for a night in Silver Spring, MD. Most glaring, there was no shampoo or other personal cleansers in the bathroom, and the "breakfast buffet" was a joke. I get COVID, but there is no reason that you could not offer a more appealing grab & go breakfast. I went down at 9am, and the vending machine style dispenser was nearly empty, and what you had was laughable. And no shampoo or soap?! I've had better amenities at every mid-level hotel I've ever stay at. We didn't explore the pool or other things advertised, but shampoo and breakfast is pretty basic. Disappointing.

It’s one of the best place to stay if you have kids; the two bedroom suite was great; I loved it!
