Great breakfast.

Very clean! Love the fire pit & pool. Very friendly. Had to ask for towels but no biggy! Loved staying there! Martha & staff serviced breakfast area for all our needs and was very helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend! We booked another night and didn’t want to leave! Thank you!

I really liked the location and all the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The only think that was kinda disappointing is the water pressure wasn't very good.

The water pressure was barely adequate in the bathroom and the sound on the television was poor quality sound. The lighting in the room was in adequate. The staff was very pleasant. The hotel was clean, well-maintained and smelled new.

The hotel was nice and very clean. The only issue that bothered us was about 10 mins. after check-in we were in the room and there was a knock at the door. Before we could even get to the door, the guy from the front desk opens our door with a key and starts in. He was startled and left with no good explanation. Sketchy. 😳

2-years in a row that the pool was closed. Shower head leaked & had weak water pressure. The Conditioner was empty upon arrival & need to have some sort of ‘night light’ available instead of only bright lights or TV. Not being picky, I liked my stay… I’m just trying to give good honest feedback ~ easy improvements. Thank You.

My husband and I unknowingly booked the same room for his trip for the same night. Hotels.com refused to cancel one of the bookings and billed us for two nights in total for one stay.

Our stay was wonderful! The staff were very friendly and kind. The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. We would stay here again.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. It was kind of hard to close the shower door the whole way without alot of effort. The food at breakfast was not very good. Eggs were cold and milk was spoiled. Would not partake in the breakfast again. Also there was a really weird stench in the hallways and the elevator.

Do not go for the purpose of the pool because it’s tiny, but little kids would still enjoy it. Overall staff was great! There was just one front desk lady that wasn’t very pleasant. My biggest complaint was the SMELL in the elevators and in the hallways of the guest rooms, kind of garbage-like.

The water tasted funny when I brushed my teeth. There was cigar smoke coming into the room in the morning. The room wasn’t ready as promised. I really needed to get into the room at 3pm but it wasn’t ready until almost 5:30pm!

The staff is so courteous and helpful. The free breakfast has good variety and is quite tasty. It is my preferred place to stay in Shelby, NC.

Only hated that we couldn't have stayed longer. Hope to return again soon.

Affair

Nothing The people at the front desk lied to me and my family that they did not have a room for us. I had a reservation and they overbooked us without notice after a 9 hour drive there.

We had a great stay! They were super accommodating and helpful....i.messed up and somehow booked two nights in 2 different types of rooms. They went out of their way to help up transition between rooms.

We love staying at this Fairfield as it is clean, staff helpful and friendly.

Hotel lobby was clean and up to date. The room.. not so much. The floors were super thin so you could hear people walking above you. The elevator was stinky! See pictures below for the bathroom in the room!

Was not pleased we couldn’t check into our room until 4:25. Check in time is 3. This made us 15 minutes late for receiving of friends for our loved one. We were immediate family. Very poor service trying to get a room ready for us. Was told they were full and no clean rooms. For 1 hour and 25 minutes??? Not Acceptable!

There’s only one elevator working in an almost sold out property and the one that’s working is a little scary . The staff you have to wait for , they are not at the front desk at any point of my coming in or out

We visited here for one night for a concert in the area. The room and facility was clean. Update the rooms to include a fan in the bathroom. Update facility to include drink and snack machines. There were drinks and snacks avaiable in the lobby no regular drinks on diet. We were told they ran out.

Very clean The only thing we did not like they did not change our towels the next day and did not fresh up our room as many other hotels does. I had to go and ask for clean towels by the end of the day.

Not a good Marriott experience. Booked a 2 Queen room and was told only a 1 King was available. I asked for bedding for the pull up coach and was told I had to pick it up myself. Really??? Terrible Breakfast.

The air conditioning is garbage and doesn’t cool the room. However the shower was nice.

The only thing we didn't like was the cigarette odor in our room. We asked the front guy, but they didn't do much, just "took note of it".

As soon as you come in you are greeted with a great staff who have always been accommodating and kind during my stay at this property. The amenities and location are a plus. I always enjoy my time here!

The room was TINY! The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the only other place to sit in the room was an office chair. No couch, no chair, just a desk and a bed. Doesn’t get more bare bones than that.

For Shelby, it’s a nice new hotel. Disliked that I reserved a room with 2 queen beds for a work trip and when I checked in the put us in a king bed room with no mention. We walked downstairs and the woman at the desk just said they didn’t have any more 2 queen rooms but that the couch was comfy. The gentleman came out at the same time she said that and fixed the situation.

We stayed the night before my surgery early at a local hospital. Very quick and easy check-in/check out. Comfortable bed, fantastic shower. We would definitely stay again. Very clean and quiet.

The front desk staff and Cheri in the breakfast room in particular, were all extremely friendly and helpful. We were delighted with our stay.

I really can’t say enough about our stay. Everyone was friendly and let me tell you, they had every reason not to be. We were in town for the Tarheel league state championship and there were kids everywhere. The staff was amazing, helpful, nice, friendly, accommodating and PATIENT! Thank you to the entire staff for being so accommodating.

The only issue we had with the property is that our room smelled a little bad. It had a smell, sort of like a fish bowl.

As one of the more expensive properties in Shelby I expected more. Some one had thrown up in the elevator and the stench was there for my 2 night stay. The a/c unit grinded on starting..very noisy woke me every time it started. I heard people walking overhead through the night. People were at the fire pit outside well past midnight laughing and talking..poor sound insulation.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years. The elevator has a pronounced smell similar to vomit. Since Covid, the cleanliness of the hotel has taken a turn for the worst. It’s beginning to show its age with scuff marks around the shower area. Also, one of the gas fire pits was not working. With the significant price increase in the last two years I would expect better quality.

Told housekeeping and was told their supervisor would be to fix it. Never saw the supervisor.

Aside from broken usb charging ports in the room, and near dead remote batteries…. The facilities were very nice. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. I’d still give them 4 out of 5 stars.

Clean accommodations and no mold noted in the bathroom. Thank you for maintaining a clean room that did not smell of smoke or weed!

The daytime desk receptionist on Thursday of check in was very helpful and pleasant. The desk receptionist on checkout Sunday we would say was kind of grumpy but she did say thank you. Both of the breakfast food attendants were very pleasant and helpful. The eating area was very clean.
