    Location No special amenities. We had an ice bucket in our room with no lid and no coffee cups or water type drink cups of any kind. Bed was not comfortable. Breakfast biscuits and gravy were not good but waffle was OK. The staff was very friendly.

    Nothing, the amenities posted were misleading first off, secondly trying to cancel is a nightmare Everything about my experience. I had a family emergency but kept a booking for my grandchild s birthday. I couldn't be their but my guest was and the pool was closed. Nothing on the site. I in deep stress knowing I was unable to stay and no pool was the reason for the cancelation. I decided because of the pool closure and my emergency to move forward with the process and told their shouldn't be a cancelation fee because of circumstances. To my surprise Iwas not refunded my money only partial less than half. I visit often and stayed in this hotel, Booking.com is the problem, but hotel should update things like amenities and renovation. That happened the last time I booked. And was awake on Saturday to construction. Never agian. Both the site and hotel.

    The biggest complaint I have is Expedia says in a pop up window when on the site "what you see is what you pay- we're different". That is an outright lie. When I got to the property they charged me and additional $26 for "incidentals" referring to breakfast (which by the way looked terrible) While I don't eat breakfast, I shouldn't have to pay for it. I tried to book another property in Charlotte for another trip and in the small print it says, the property will charge an additional $50 for breakfast also referred to as "incidentals" So in short what you see IS NOT WHAT YOU PAY...and that statement is an outright lie. That seems like ammo for a legal proceeding to me!

    Had a great experience with the Hotel and Staff over-all, however, I was charged an extra $20.00 which differed than the amount at Booking and also a $200 Cash Deposit at Check-In which was NOT listed anywhere at Booking, which was in-convenient as I had to leave, go to an ATM and Return with Cash. Property should handle this differently. Over-all the Staff, Property, Room, and Amenities were great!

    Arrived at 2:50 no one at desk. Finally someone yells “what do you need from inside a dark office behind the desk. We replied “To check in.” Woman comes out (she is very unprofessional dressed) and tells us rooms haven’t been released and to take a seat she will tell us when they have been released at about 3:00. Another employee comes in and starts getting her work area ready. Man comes in and she checks him in. Another couple arrives and is checked in as well as another man is checked in. I approached the desk as the first woman comes back out of the office and ask her why we are still waiting as she was to let us know when the rooms were released and that others were already checked in. She said it wasn’t her fault we hadn’t gotten in the line. We told her we were waiting patiently for her and she just shrugged. Very unconcerned about the poor customer service. Second woman then checks us in, but makes no comment about “sorry we weren’t waited on” or even a “thanks for waiting.” All in all, customer service was very poor.

    Room was clean, but was noisy. People in the room next to us were so loud. Only one lady was so sweet and friendly , she had long braids and gave us recommendations as to where go eat around town. However there is lady that is bald and is so unfriendly.     Very nice, clean room, nice beds, bedding and staff. Breakfast was what you would expect. The only negative has to do with the design of the room. The sink is not in the bathroom. I prefer to wash up in the bathroom after using the toilet and I don’t want to have to take a “bird bath” in the hall way. Who designed this?

    We had a newly is remodelled room that was exceptional. Is the bathroom is perfect. New shower, new towels.It was a very nice day and extremely clean. If you're going. For the pool however it was green and full of mildew. The pool was disgusting and the cigarette dispensers were knocked over with cigarettes everywhere. The breakfast could have been a little bit better.

    When we come to Shelby we always use this hotel to stay. The staff is always welcoming and kind. The room is clean and the breakfast is good too. It close to the mall 2 minute walk depending on how fast you walk. Will recommend to others as a place to stay.

    The hotel was one that had been renovated from some other hotel so was not what I was expecting! With that said. That should not take away from the fact that the room was clean, the staff was very friendly. The area in which it is located was not bad and I felt safe I probably should have reported that the TV in the room I was in was on the brink of having an issue and the hotel itself was a bit cool ( temperature wise). At the end of the day. I would stay here again and again. I guess that is the most important part!

    Everything was good except we got there less then a hour before check in, my mom is handicapped and the lady wouldn't let us check in, I know we were a l8ttle early but when you have an elderly person and have just driver 9 hrs I didn’t feel like 30 - 45 mins early was too too much of a problem to check us in

    We stayed 3 nights. After the first night I asked why our room had not been cleaned, linen changed, fresh towels etc. I was told that I should have been told that had to request it when I checked in. Well we had not been informed of this so I carried fresh towels from the front desk to my room. The next day our room was cleaned very well including fresh linen.

    What I didn’t like-unfriendly staff/unwelcoming What I didn’t like-I was informed my room would be cleaned on 3rd day. That’s all I was told. When it didn’t happen on 3rd day I mentioned it to staff and was told I needed to request it I normally stay at the hotel next to this one but it was not available Staff never smiles

    Excellent stay at a very clean property. Dorelis, the young lady working in the breakfast area, never stopped moving. She was doing constant deep cleaning and maintaining the breakfast bar. She was a delight to talk to, as was all of the staff. I will definitely make this my hotel of choice for this area.

    I have stayed on this property numerous times. Their remodeling is finally done and the new rooms are nice. One thing needing improvement is the online signal. Once you are 50 steps away from the desk, those bars drop fast. Apparently low cost signal boosters - one on each floor - were not in the remodeling budget.

    3 things I noted about our room. 1. Spacious yes, but a little too much. It was like furniture was missing. Large open space, enough for a small loveseat or foldout sofa, which the photos online showed but there was only 1 unconfortable chair. They are still remodeling so perhaps more furniture is planned, but for this stay, we needed more seating that we did not get. 2. Door into our room looked like it had been broken into and there was no extra security lock on the door. Was a little uncomfortable. 3. New room design shows the refridgerator placed inside a cabinet. Looks pkeasing to the eye but not practical. On the ouside of the cabinet, it was not just warm but hot to the touch and you could feel heat just walking past it.. When cabinet door is opened to get into the fridge, heat hits you in the face and it smells of the motor overheating. Actual fridge is hot to the touch. We had to leave the cabinet door open to keep the heat and smell down, which worked. I think this design needs to be reconsidered as it seems to be a possible fire hazard. Room was neat and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and adequately supplied each day. Area felt safe and enjoyed our stay. Our 2nd visit to this site and we will stay here again. Very convenient for oue needs.

    The bed was very comfortable. The person on duty when I checked in was very friendly. The other 2 people who were on desk duty while I was there, were not friendly...didn't smile...didn't speak. The cleaning staff was super noisy. Whoever was cleaning the floor I was on, and I was in room 124, does not know how to open a door without slamming it up against the wall, or close a door without letting it slam shut. There's a reason guests hang a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door during the day; it's so they can REST. And the person in the room above me stomped around at all hours of the night. They should have used soundproof flooring when they built this hotel.

    Contstruction was going on at the hotel which they had items all over the place. Then the fitness room was closed my entire trip which i didnt know until I got there. Also they put a 20$ hold on your card upon check in which isnt that big of a deal but still would have like to have known when i booked this hotel. Overall will not be staying here again if I have to come here on buisness.

    Clean, very nice room. The foot rest bar in the shower came off and hit my other foot. No real damage, a small bruise. Staff was properly concerned first about me, then about the room

    A lot of renovations going on. Breakfast was cold, lacked variety. Bathroom door would not close all the way, toilet seat very wobbly, pillows were hard (not at all comfortable to sleep on).

    The hotel itself was ok. However, check in was a diaster! The room assigned to me had someone else in it! The front desk didn't know how that happened but said housekeeping was cleaning the last available room, and there would be a 25-30 minute wait if I wanted it. It was late. I was tired and my dinner was getting cold. But I decided to wait. A refund was offered to me "after" I complained about the major inconvenience. At check out I was given Expedia's receipt instead of my own! Therefore, I had to reach out to Expedia for my refund. Thankfully, they resolved my issue graciously.

    I received standard Expedia conirmation with itinerary #. However, the desk associate told me that Expedia had declined my virtual card. Found a Las Vegas Expedia customer svc number. It was disconnected. Luckily the hotel associate had a working number to Expedia. She was disconnected twice but eventually fixed the problem. The card worked OK, Expedia had simply screwed the booking. Cost me one hour to wait.

    The pool was nasty with larvae, we didn't have a place to park and they charged you for parking. We asked the lady at the lobby about where we were supposed to park and her answer was just park in the parking lots at the mall when they told us previously. If you park there your car will be towed after midnight. I still have allergies because the room was clean but the smell of cigarettes was intolerant. And they charged me $200 for the night with no refund. No, I will not recommend it. The pictures they promoted have nothing to do with the real thing. The lobby is nasty. They should close off and finish whatever renovation they do and don't sell what they don't have.
