The Convince to everything. Pool says it closes at 9pm and I went down at 825pm for a quick swim and it was locked. I asked the front desk to check my card cause it wasn’t working to open the gate and she “reset”my card and it still didn’t work. When I went back to tell her the card still didn’t open the gate she said “ if it doesn’t work then I can’t open it because the manager set it at that time”. I told her it says 9 pm though. Do they not stick to closing times? I set my schedule to get that swim in. This is my only disappointment but other than that over all great stay.

Spark by Hilton was a great stay! Hotel was clean and maintained properly. Rooms were a great size and air conditioning was fantastic. The only negative was the breakfast. No protein of any sort served like sausages or bacon. There was toast, muffins, bagels, yogurt and oatmeal. Overall a great place to stay!

I needed to reschedule my reservation for later in the the week and Hotels.com woud not accommodate me with this. I didn't get to stay there. My rating of terrible was not about the hotel it was about Hotels.com.

over all good for short stay

Construction on the major highway immediately in front of the hotel was definitely a major problem. Construction noise started very early in the morning. We were not aware of this until we arrived at the hotel, which was disappointing that it did not declare it on the website. The hotel was fine, clean good breakfast and staff was certainly acceptable.

Beds were comfy, but the pillows were weak. A/C was great. The surrounding area is a bit noisy with interstate traffic and construction. Overall, for the price it’s a solid place to stay.

The roads are under construction! We checked in and went out for the night, we came back at 10pm and roads were closed to go in from both sides it took us 1hr driving around and 4 phone calls to the receptionist desk to finally get an answer, when we did we were given a direction and to meet a coo to escort us, there was no cop until further down the road it was a security guard, he didnt speak english and he also didnt know how to get into the property he even lead us to a CEMETERY WHERE WE DROVE INTO!!!! Driving around a cemetary as he was looking on how to get to the hotel, then he saw another security guard and asked her how to get there, he finally guides us to this unpaved road thru bumps and rocks like we were going off roading! I drive a small prius so you can imagine how hard that was! Horrible experience lost about 2hrs total plus a nice night drive thru a cemetery! Careful booking here as the construction looks like its just starting

We stayed there for one night when we visited San Antonio. The staff was real nice. The room was fairly clean although it had a slight odor probably because of the AC. Breakfast contained boiled eggs, bagels, donuts and cereals, so was quite filling. Downtown San Antonio was less than half an hour so we could visit the Tower of the Americas at night without any problems and then came back by midnight to rest. Overall, would recommend the place for family stay. Not a high end hotel but definitely for the budget traveler family looking for a clean place to stay the night.

It was close to San Antonio The location is bad as construction blocks off your entrance and you have to drive on backroads to getting there. Front desk lady was rude, not very personable. Breakfast was okay, not much of a selection.

I wish there had been freshly cooked breakfast like pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, grits, etc.

The first room that was given to me, smelled really bad, the refrigerator didn’t work and the shower knob was broken. The lady in the counter had the worst customer service experience and a bad attitude towards the customer.

Room was nice/clean with Welcome Bernadette on TV when I entered. Nice touch! Rachel was professional & courtesy. I settled in my room & Rachel sent a text message asking if everything was to my liking & if I needed anything. Wish there was coffee maker/cups in rooms. Did not partake in breakfast however, coffee was delicious & didn’t see cream cheese for bagels pleasant ideal. Overall happy with my stay. Thank you staff.

The hotel has basic amenities and that was just fine. Everything was good but the staff lacked some follow-through. The manager did print some documents for me - so that was greatly appreciated. When I got to my room and unpacked, I settled in to watch some TV. I discovered that the TV didn't work at all. The phone didn't work either so I had to get dressed and go downstairs. They moved me to another room but I had to repack all of my stuff, which is definitely an inconvenience after traveling all day. The new room - which I discovered the next day - did not have any shampoo, so I had to wash my hair with body soap. I reported it about 9:00 a.m. that morning, and when I returned to the hotel in the evening, there still was no shampoo. So I had to call again. This time the manager came to my room to change them out. Also, a light was out over the bed and I reported that too but it didn't get fixed. The little things matter!

Lovely, clean and comfortable room Construction going on directly in front of the hotel on access road; Lyft driver almost gave up because it was very hard to find an alternate route to reach the hotel. The traffic noise from IH-35 and the ongoing construction directly in front of the hotel makes enjoying the pool impossible. No dining, shopping, convenience stores within walking distance whatsoever.

The hotel was clean, loved the room with the sofa,the location is a bit tough because of all the road construction at this time. I wish the breakfast was a bit more than cereal and hard boiled eggs. The price for the room though was great.

Overall my stay was awesome and easy too get around. Very friendly staff and my room was spotless. I would of like to have a coffee machine in room. I'm nit an earlier riser. Would differently stay again.

The hotel wouldn't let me check in, saying that the payment from Expedia wouldn't go through. But I checked Expedia charged my credit card successfully. Then, the hotel cancelled the reservation and asked me to book the hotel room directly. I did, but the Expedia now wouldn't do a refund. I paid the Expedia, then paid the hotel directly for the same room the same night. The hotel said that they couldn't get payment from Expedia but when I asked Expedia to issue a refund, Expedia refused. Expedia customer service email was a mess, as a different rep replied to my email without any contexts and I had to repeat my case but nobody understood my story!!!! Terrible, horrible, hopeless, angry!!!

This is a relatively new property - at least thats how it feels. The facility is clean with no weird smells. Staff has been helpful. Construction on the nearby interstate isnt fun to navigate, but getting to the hotel isnt that problematic.

There was a man and his young son who had been waiting for some time already. I dialed the phone number listed, every menu option simply rang the front desk which did no good given no one was there. I'm gluten free, so when I see half of the choices are bagels and cereals that I can't eat, it makes my morning a little less enjoyable. I stayed with the hard boiled eggs and yogurt.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Front desk clerk, Katy, was very accommodating and nice. The room was very clean and the ac was on prior to us arriving so the temperature was very comfortable. Nice breakfast selection as well.

Checked in on Friday, noticed broken toilet seat. Reported to front desk immediately. On Monday at checkout, still not repaired. It was dangerous to use because it kept sliding sideways. Trash cans in hall and outside not emptied and trash on the ground all weekend

The TV would not work. It showed the welcome screen but would not change channels. I couldn’t even turn it off! I called the desk and he said he could move us to another room! I was already in bed and didn’t want to be moved. He then said he could call the 800 number but it would take awhile! This is unforgivable!!

It’s now called Spark by Hilton when we made it to the property. It was very nice and the staff were great as well. They are going through lots of renovations but it did not interrupt or hinder our stay there in any way.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. We only stayed overnight but the front desk and all staff we encountered were warm, welcoming, and friendly. We were a little bummed to learn upon arrival that, because they're transitioning to a Hilton Sparks, they are no longer doing hot breakfast (as advertised) and, instead, have a bagel bar. Bagels, cream cheese, juice, coffee, and tea were available and were satisfying in the morning. There was a decent amount of evidence, especially in the common areas, that renovations had been going on - paint splatters and just general construction debris laying around. The space was generally very clean and we had no problems in our king bed room. Appreciated the new, white linens, updated furniture, and roomy space. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well-stocked with toiletries. We would definitely return for a quick trip.Thanks for a great stay!

Housekeeping does not clean the breakfast area during breakfast. Came in at the middle of breakfast time and breakfast area floor, tables and counter were dirty. Coffee bar in the lobby was not cleaned frequently enough.

This “so-called” hotel is a construction site! I was met by construction workers inside and out upon check-in. The elevator has massive peeling paint and construction pieces on the floor, and the carpet is dirty with construction drywall, boards, and equipment. Eventually, strong fumes throughout the hotel with paint stripper and other strong chemicals being used. I felt like I needed a N95 mask! This place is an environmental safety hazard, and I finally checked out and into a Marriot hotel in San Antonio. I didn't have any of these problems at the Marriot. At the Comfort Inn, I had to walk over screws, boards, and around construction workers to enter and exit. It needs to close down immediately until the construction work is done. Why does this company stay open when it is clearly an OSHA violation? This construction site needs to be placed in expedited and other hotel advertisements. OSHA needs to investigate this place immediately! The front desk staff were friendly, but I felt terrible for them.

Hotel is under rehab but everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was the same thing every day which would have been nice to have a little more variety. Room needed a few things but we let them know before we left so they could be added.

It's being remodeled so it's a bit of a mess. I'm sure it'll be good when they're done but I wouldn't stay there until then. The whole floor smelled of fresh paint, some of the lights in the room didn't work, the tub was clogged. Limited breakfast options; no waffles, bagels, or cereal; warm food was gone by the time we got there; OJ machine was broken. We've had an excellent experience at other Comfort Inns, including on this trip, but wouldn't stay at this location again, at least until the remodel is complete.

Since the property is under renovation, there were big nails found on the floor of the room … French fries was there got rotten … near the tv … bathroom flushes by itself and it sounds very loud … AC has a very loud sound too .. it’s a ok type hotel

Great staff!! Felt like family!

They were doing renovations on the hotel so it smelled like paint. There were workers in the halls and carpet had been ripped up. Other than the renovation work, the place was fine.

We stayed for a soccer tournament. The hotel is under renovation so the laundry room was down. The front desk was so nice they took some of players clothes and washed them and dried them for us in the main laundry room. They went above and beyond can’t wait to go back and see the new look.

Customer service

The hotel is under construction, and the view from the room was a cemetery. The location is right by a busy highway where they have construction. The staff were great! The bathroom in the room was nasty.

The property is currently undergoing renovations which made the stay less than ideal. Also, the TVs are outdated and can't connect to streaming services. Management was very kind and attempted to improve the stay despite the mentioned hurdles.

The motel is under new renovation and can be dangerous. The room they first assigned to me is full of the unpleasant smell of paint; Also the bathtub is very slippery so that I almost fell and my toe was cut by the sharp edge of the bathtub plug.

It was very nice even though it is going through renovations.

The property is in a transition stage, many revisions ongoing and will be very nice once complete. Upon checking out I needed a receipt but was told it would be emailed to me; have yet to receive it.

The room was clean but i should have been informed that they are remodeling. The noise from the remodeling woke me up early. There was no black out curtain in the room, well one side was missing. The property is near some good restaurants amd shopping, so its not all bad. I will try them again once they are finished with the work, but for now the best i can do is a 3 star.
