Multiple food options, close to a Super Walmart, malls, and easy access to catch the bus. Though the room was quiet, the air conditioning unit was very loud. More lights are needed in the room. The room could use some upgrading, but it was clean.

Great hotel. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean. Upon returning to our room, our AC was broken. They moved us to another room and everything was back on track. The hotel and room were so clean, the bed was comfy, and it was pretty quiet too. The kitchen has a full size fridge and microwave and dishwasher. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. The front desk girl was also very nice during our AC debacle. We’d say here again.

It was okay room, I’ve stayed in better places for that kind of money. The room was just small and the pictures are deceiving.

I reported the issue to the front desk, but instead of resolving it, I was given an 1-800 technical support number and told to call myself. Honestly, that’s not something guests should have to deal with while on vacation. The only positive aspect is the location it’s very convenient, with plenty of food options nearby and close to American Dream Mall. Overall, while the location is great, the hotel itself needs improvement, especially when it comes to basic amenities and customer service.

Everything was satisfactory, however the gym could use a little more weights instead of all the cardio. A little more variety. The lobby was very nice and I like that it is fairly close to the bus line to the port authority.

Kitchen had everything you would need to cook/prepare a meal.

After leaving, we went to Residence Inn and spoke with the manager there. From the moment we arrived, they took great care of us. The staff was welcoming and professional, the room was excellent, and everything,from the service to the food was outstanding. Residence Inn will definitely be my new place to stay whenever I visit. A big thank you to everyone on the team for turning a stressful situation into a great experience. Also worth mentioning: when we were having trouble earlier, Hotels.com wasn’t much help, and we couldn’t rely on them for support.

Room was OK but a little run-down and could have been a bit cleaner. I also did not like the fact that the hotel does not do housekeeping service until after the 2nd night of a stay. So you are stuck reusing towels unless you request more towels from the front desk.

It was very good!! I loved the place , the staff was very nice, the room was so pretty and clean!! The pool was supposed to close at 10 but the girl at the front desk told us that she was gonna be there until 11 so we can use it until 11!! Everything nice!! The breakfast was also good :) The only thing i can say is that the water of the pool was a little bit white, like not clear at all but i get it, it was like 9pm, it went through the whole day basically. But everything was so good i loved it! I will definitely be back!!!

Hotel was in a great area with lots of places to eat and I loved the movie theater was near by . A lot of options for breakfast. Beds are comfortable bathroom was clean. My only issue was how walking down the hall smelled musty and like cigarettes one air fresheners could help. Also walking down the hall the walls and doors looked very dirty . Staff was friendly tho. I will return in the future

Strong marijuana smell on my floor hallway constantly (nauseating). After alerting front desk staff on 5 occasions …. Nothing was done. (Non smoking areas and rooms)

Pool was closed, breakfast was very lackluster. The room was NOT very clean. Surfaces were dirty, nothink had been moved or vaccummed behind/under. Cabinets and shelves were all scratched up. People were smoking cigarettes in the stairway

Location is perfect in the middle of the plaza - the highlight, swimming pool is non-operational (so don’t book for the pool like we did) - our floor lobby and elevator was often used for smoking - even though entire premises should be non-smoking. Room was nice but lower area as was seen in pictures. Overall 2.5 or 3.

2. management is rude - the lady on the phone asked us to leave at 11.30PM on a snowy day when we asked why they did not clean the room after Christmas day 3. no breakfast - after us waiting for 30 minutes in the line, they said they sold out. yet, they charged us in the room fee that was already pre-paid

During this visit, we stayed with my mother, who was visiting from Poland, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. She was surprised by the very limited breakfast selection, the fact that breakfast is only available until 9:30 a.m. on weekdays (many guests are on vacation and want to sleep in), and that food is served on paper plates. Even tea and coffee are served in paper cups. Both she and we travel extensively, and we have never encountered this in hotels throughout Europe, for example. Another issue was housekeeping. While we understand that bed linens may not be changed daily, the room was not even straightened—trash was not removed, beds were not made, and basic amenities such as tea bags and sugar were not replenished. At the very least, the room should be made presentable. Additionally, the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. For two nights in a one-bedroom room, we paid $735. This raises a serious question: why are prices increasing while the quality of service is declining? There needs to be a better balance between cost and the level of service provided.

Th stuffs were friendly. The room quite espscious was good but it needs a face lift i.e., some rusty spots in the bath room, beds peelow and cover needs to be very tidy.

Had to switch rooms because TVs weren't working properly. Staff assistant had a hard time resetting. Didn't seem knowledgeable. In bedroom behind TV stand was filthy.

The staff was very friendly, the room and "common areas" were clean, and this is by far the quietest hotel I've stayed in. No sound from adjacent rooms, or traffic in the hall. Staying here may be the best I've slept in years, and I typically don't do well away from home. Zero complaints and would definitely stay here again.

Employees were very nice, however the room was not very clean. We had a room with the kitchenette and the entire counter was sticky and was not turned over with fresh creamer coffee etc. the shower fan did not work making it extremely hard for a family of 4 to get ready. We needed use of the sofa bed and there was no sheet to cover the mattress that was stained. There must have been a party that had an overflow of garbage that accumulated by the elevator mid day Saturday. On Sunday morning after 10pm it was still there. It was embarrassing to use the elevator’s as they smelt like marijuana. Coming out of them with a family and a family coming into the elevator with older couples it made it seem like we smelt. Hotel should analyze occupancy and increase janitorial staff when needed

Our experience was a poor one. The first room we got was covered in dog hair . The next room had way too much mold in the bathroom. Black and pink mild all over it was sad. I couldn't let me kids shower in that. The breakfast was mediocre. The place seemed very dismal.

My stay at the hotel was very nice. Great location, close to shopping and restaurants, however I think the breakfast could improve a little more. The scrambled eggs were watery.

I checked in; was only there for an hour due to an emergency that came about. My fam and I had to immediately leave and head back to MD. I let the front desk know and called the next morning to speak to a supervisor about my situation. I was hoping for a partial refund or points of some sort bec my stay was cut short. I was told by the front desk initially to contact Expedia which I did but there was no remorse whatsoever after speaking to the supervisor (Shavon Honor). Being a supervisor I would think you would be more sympathetic and willing to assist in any way

Marriott always comes through! The room was super comfortable and exactly what I needed to relax. I hit the gym a few times while I was there — they mostly had dumbbells and a couple of treadmills, nothing fancy, but it was enough for me to get a good workout in. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower, which was a little weaker than I’m used to, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it was a really great stay and I’d definitely come back again.

I appreciated the staff allowed us to check in early. The housekeeping definetly could have been better and the bed wasn't very comfortable. It could also use a bit of updating.

Is starting to look worn. The sofa was stained, the bathroom mirror was cracked, the wallpaper peeling and the paint near the shower was pe long. Time for a refresh. The morning breakfast area had flies buzzing around. For the price they charge, it should be updated. Otherwise, it would be great.

Location was excellent.. shopping and restaurants just outside ..NJ Transit close by saved a lot of driving to the city; only drawback for this lovely hotel was daily housekeeping

Person at the front desk went above and beyond during my check-in process. Walking distance to restaurant, area felt safe. The rooms need to be cleaned a little better, particularly the bathrooms.

There are a lot of positives for this property but a couple of minor issues too. The plus's are that it was quite, convenient, lots of restaurants very close by, short walk tot he convention center, decent breakfast, and the bed was super comfortable. On the downside, the shower caulk was showing its age, the toilet seat was loose on the toilet and there was a toenail on the carpet...so housekeeping in my room was sub-par, but it was still far better than most other hotels. My co-workers room was spotless and had none of these issues.

Superlative Customer Service, Excellent location. Close to restaurants Coffee shop, deli, and Walmart. Bus stop from and to Manhattan.

Room was not very clean floors were sticky and had a lot of dust on shelfs and tables. Stayed once before back in Dec and room was in a lot better condition.

Second time staying here and it was much dirtier than the first which means I highly doubt I will return.

Last time they were under construction and repairs for a water leak. It was very loud in there. Other than that it was nice. This time, my check in was really drawn out due to training a new receptionist. One point to note is I was asked if I had a car, but was not informed that they now charge parking fee. The room was ok. The bathroom was not. Center light was burned out, mold in shower and on counter on caulking, and the sink would not drain. Just a little too much to dismiss. Most noteworthy when I informed the front desk on checkout of these things, they kindly offered to refund my parking fee. I said, what parking fee? This was the first I was made aware that they now charge for parking. I am unaware and now need to look in my records to see if I was charged last time I was there too. This was not disclosed to me on any of my multiple visits.

This is the fifth time staying here. The room is starting to show its age. The fridge was dented. The sofa had a cover over one of the cushions. It was anxiously soiled underneath. Otherwise the property is excellent

The hotel’s location is supreme. It’s surrounded by so many restaurants, to suit everyone’s taste. There’s lots of stores to shop in nearby too. Also, there is access to public transportation within the vicinity. The hotel itself is peaceful and quiet. We stayed in room 309. The mattress was very comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. It really helped us start the day. There was plenty of seating available. The clerks at the front desk were very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. The rest of the staff was just as helpful and polite. The other guests were cordial too. I felt safe during our stay. I only suggest that more hooks should be installed in the bathroom. There is plenty of wall space and space behind the door to do this. I highly recommend Residence Inn. I would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately the hotel needs a renovation or an update of the furniture in the rooms. The room was not clean and when we took pictures to show them it did not help. we expressed concern as there was a tablet let in the room that could have been hazardous had a child been booked int the room. The tablet was removed but the room was still not cleaned even after we showed them where it was dusty. The toile seat needs to be replaced as it is chipping and the shower fixtures need to be replaced. The hotel is in the perfect location, the morning breakfast was ok - average for hotel buffets. The check in, receptionist staff were very helpful but they need to work on cleanliness. Disappointed that after we showed them where it needed to be cleaned it still was not cleaned.

The room was unbearably warm but the air conditioner was unbearably loud. The pool was nice but smaller than it looked in the photos. The room was clean but the sheet didn't fit the bed very well, so it kept lifting off of one of the corners, revealing a badly stained mattress. The hot breakfast items were cold and the toppings for the oatmeal were stale. The staff was very kind, though and all other aspects of the room were great.

The property is old and found that the cleanliness was not up to the mark .There were dirty pillow covers and stains on the sofa seats.I booked a suite with a king size bed,but the bed was definitely not a king size one .

Great experience. Clean and spacious. Don’t worry about shampoo and conditioner or a hairdryer. 3 minute walk to a bus that is a direct line to the Port authority Bus station. Safe. And the hotel shares a parking lot with a theatre and other delicious places to grab some food. Also a subway and Dunkin’ Donuts attached. Round trip bus fare around 8-9$. Was free over holiday weekend. But get a buss pass in case.

Loved the proximity to MetLife stadium. Nice to have food/coffee shops so close by. Room was very clean. Very comfortable. Quick overnight trip, but two thumbs up!

Check in person was extremely friendly and check in was a breeze! I was there for a concert at MetLife and she gave us plenty of tips on navigating the are, transportation, etc. Very helpful!
