Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's location and friendly staff, but express dissatisfaction with the outdated facilities and cleanliness. The hotel's proximity to public transportation and major attractions is a significant advantage, while the need for renovations and better maintenance is a recurring concern.

Pretty much every single thing about this hotel was fantastic. I was able to stay comfortably with my dogs, but the elevator was very wonky and in desperate need of help. We stayed two days and sometimes we had to go up or down the stairs 3 to 4 flight before we could get an elevator. But on the end of the second day, one of them was fully fixed and functional, so that was wonderful. But it would never determine from staying there again. I really loved the staff.

The only good thing about this place is the bus stop. Our stay had broken elevators and we were expected to climb 5 floors. The bed was uncomfortable, the sofas were broken. If possible please stay away from this place. They are yet to refund me for the days where the elevator did not work.

Lift doesn’t worked, and AC doesn’t worked and their staff are very lazy

Elevators not working during whole stay. breakfast is basically poor variety of processed food. Rooms are old, Pool is dirty and not well maintained. Don't waste your time/money here.
- 2/5
Clean room, refrigerator didn't work, air conditioner wasn't working, was told elevators were out of order after paying for room and finding out we were on the 7th floor, pool closed way too early.
- 2/5
Neither elevator was working, so all the guests had to use the stairs to reach their floors. The air conditioner barely cooled the room, and although the fridge was set to maximum freezing, the inside was merely cool—not even cold. This is our last time staying at this hotel. The only upside is its proximity to Manhattan.

Very poor

The beds where comfy The staff was rude and inattentive they ignored you didn’t answer front desk phone and acted like it was a chore to get some towels when there was none in my room

The lift was under for all 3 days that I stayed here, and they gave me a room on the 5th floor. It was very inconvenient for my old parents to walk 5 floors up, and upon multiple requests, they did not change the room. The AC was also not working; I had to call room service multiple times. The hotel must improve the elevator service; I think it has been out of service for a very long time. the bathroom was very unclean and the soaps and shampoo were too low quality that i got eye allergy. atleast AC should be working but had to call the room service many times.

Elevator was broken. Breakfast is ok

Terrible hotel. I will never come back. Our room was on the ninth floor, and the elevator broke down. We had to carry a stroller up the stairs. Very disappointing experience.

Location !! Elevator out of order

I didn't like the entrance mat; it's very dirty. The elevators aren't working; they need to be improved.

Not sure if the property was just old but the elevator was down by the first night and was out of order majority of my stay. I watch people have to carry strollers, people that can barely walk up and down the stairs struggle the entire time. There was no compensation or empathy for management. That was my last and final time booking there.
- 2/5
It is right across the street of the bus stop that will take you to the port authority in Manhattan in about 40 minutes. Other than that, not a good score, the hotel is old and unkept, dirty carpet everywhere, dusty, non functioning elevator, pool only open on the weekend, worst breakfast of all 5 hotels we stayed in our trip (we just skipped it), and pillows that are either uneven clumps of foam or hard as hey.
- 1/5
both elevators not working.we have to take the stairs from 6th floors.
- 5/5
Everyone was very sweet, helpful and informative. Love the area - I thought it would be too industrial of an area but it was perfect!
- 2/5
The elevator was broken when we arrived. We literally had to carry my mother in law to her room on the 6th floor and after walking to the 7th floor to my own room my sugar dropped. I have been trying to talk to a manager all day. Left my number , called many times with no answer (at a Hotel??) . There should be some sort of compensation for our inconvience. Instead I can't even get a hold of anyone to even discuss the issue. Not very professional for a business. Not a satisfied customer at all!!
- 1/5
The elevator didn’t work for two days and we had a room in the 7th floor. It was difficult for us. The AC filter was so dirty that my husband had terrible allergies. No AC in the lobby. I will never return to this place.

To make matters worse, we woke up Saturday morning to a leak coming from the bathroom ceiling. Front desk staff (Amy) admitted they had no engineer on site to fix it and didn't offer us a new room. She promised to refund one night's stay for the massive inconvenience and told us to settle it at checkout. When we checked out Sunday, James at the front desk refused to honor the refund, blaming his colleague for not processing it sooner. Since then, management has completely ducked my calls. They do not care about property upkeep, and they do not honor the financial agreements made by their own staff. Avoid this place at all costs.
- 1/5
Very old, everything is out off order. Worst hotel.
- 2/5
We booked the holiday weekend. We had a few disappointments. When we arrived, check in was good. She explained the property and let us know that the pool was closed due to maintenance. Which was a bummer because it was one of the reasons we booked for my daughter’s birthday. Also, one working elevator when we arrived.

Had an ant infestation in my room when I woke up, staff were helpful and moved us when it was brought up. Fitness room and pool were closed so we were disappointed. Elevator was broken when we got to the property and was fixed by end of day but was inconvenient as we had to carry suitcases and bags up 4 flights of stairs
- 2/5
The tub had been repaired, but there was a leak on the back wall that filled under the tub, and if you stepped on it, water shot out of the wall in the bathroom. The only thing that worked on schedule was the staff closing the breakfast nook at exactly 10am. The room furniture was dated, and the air conditioner worked best as a fan pulling in the evening air from outside, or the hot air during the day.
- 5/5
Nice staff. Good breakfast and comfortable clean bed. Hotel is looking a bit rough. Carpets need to be cleaned . Overall it was excellent for the price paid and closer to NYC

During our stay there was a lot of things that were not up to satisfaction The first thing would be the pool was shut down due to a filter issue there was issues with the elevator not working and not being in service when we first arrived it was working later that night it was not working it was out of service and we had to transport back and forth up of eight flights of stairs The refrigerator was not cold leaking and smelt like mildew as well as the room smell like mildew and there were no extra linens in the room when I try to call down to the front desk to request more linens as far as pillows blankets and towels washcloths the phone in the room did not work. I would like to be compensated somehow for the inconvenience of all the things that we're not up to myself or my family satisfaction Please email me at megancanino@gmail.com

The picture have to be from when the place opened. Our room need a deep, deep , deep cleaning. I brought some cleaning some supplies with me had to go to local Walmart to get more. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There was a Jack Daniel liquor bottle on top of the closet. It was dusty and dirty. It needed to be vacuum. It looks like someone was probably living there.
- 3/5
Hotel was like they didnt fix stuff when it broke. No A/C in the hallway. Breakfast was ok. No shampoo or soap for showers. Unique room with a separate room with a pull out was a plus. Elevator was broken the last 2 days. It was not fun hauling 5 people's luggage down stairs. Pool was closed including exercise room. Front desk did not answer phone. For the price it was good. I will just be weary of by Wyndham properties.
- 3/5
The hotel needs a little remodeling but its okay. The elevator broke 2 days before check out and they kept telling us they were either waiting for the company or the company was fixing it. When we checked out it was still broken. We were on the 6th floor.

The breakfast was a basic hotel breakfast. Staff was great. Bus stop is across the street from the hotel. A good variety of stores within walking distance The hotel needs a little remodeling but its okay. When we first arrived, the hotel seemed okay. It wasn’t the greatest but it wasn’t the worst so we decided to stay. We were given our room key and pointed toward the elevator. The elevator was sketchy. It was making a lot of noise. That was our first warning. We get to our floor and there are marks all on the wall, it looked like the floor was slightly neglected. We open the door to our room and it’s better than expected but not the best. We walked to the bedroom door and tried to flip the switch. The switch doesn’t work. So we had to fumble in the dark to find the light. Once we found the light it was fine. Then I went to plug in my phone to the socket and it wasn’t working. The next day the elevator was making more strange noises. By the time we got back, it allowed us one more trip and then it broke when my husband was trying to come up to the 6th floor. He told the front desk attendant that the elevator was not working and instead of a simple courteous apology, the attendant was nonchalant, unapologetic and told my husband that he could take the second hallway stairs to his 6th floor room. There were no signs on the floors to direct those who did not know the elevator was broken to the correct staircase. There were two staircases and one only led to the outside. It’s annoying when you go down 12 flights of stairs and cannot get to the lobby. The breakfast was okay.
- 3/5
It wasn’t as expensive as other hotels The elevators, the fitness room and other amenities were out of order, so we had to walk the stairs all the way up to the 6th floor. Beds were full, not queen. The hotel, while clean, needs repair and upgrades.

Very outdated, stains on all the furniture and carpet. Elevators didn’t work. Mold in bathroom.

Especially the outside is very unkept. Breakfast is fair. Overall one can see a lot of neglect and little attention to making the stay an enjoyable experience

I had bad experience in this hotel the elevator is not working till 19 may and the water tank is not working in toilet too. So, please give me some refund so, I fill i got some justice for my experience.

I have terrible experience with La Quinta. They allocated room in 6th floor and booked for 5 days . Three days elevator has sut down. I will send the money email in detail.

Rooms AC was not very cold, Elevator was broken, had to climb 5 flights of stairs several times, stayed 3 days. Breakfast on the last morning was not open. Parking is limited, parking garage is limited and very dim lights, as a woman didn’t feel safe walking alone.

Horrible , the elevator was broken all night including this morning when I left to go to work.

Very clean. Nobody bothers you. Friendly staff. Good location.

So it was disappointing.
- 3/5
Since the day we went the elevators had problems they would either take too long to come or was not working at all and there wasn’t even a sign posted of either the elevators were out of service or any work is going on. We had room up on 8th floor and it was a trouble finding out that you have to use stairs.
- 5/5
Parking a bit strange as they share a garage nextdoor plbut its a short walk. Front desk staff was super nice both checking in late at night and in morning.
- 5/5

- 3/5
What was strange is that my family and I never saw any staff working in the area where something supposedly happened. How could they serve coffee but not breakfast? Another issue we had was that the key cards to enter the room were always not working, and we had to keep going downstairs once or even twice to get them fixed.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and close to shopping area and restaurants
- 3/5
Dirty doors and musty smell, only the breakfast area was decent. I’d never stay here again. But if stay doesn’t bother you, then the location is prime. Close proximity to the city and convenient public transport.

When I checked in, I was given two keys. I went to the room door and both keys did not work. I returned back to the desk and was given two replacement keys. Again, I went to the door and they did not work. Returned back to the desk. The person there told me to go back to the door and that he will send a person to open the door. I asked, if every time I return to my room this will happen. He said 'yes'. I asked him if he just give me another room. He said yes he could but the same thing will happen there too because all the locks in the hotel are in terrible shape. I asked him if the maintenance person will come soon. He said he couldn't say. Then I asked if I could wait for the person in the lobby sitting in the chairs instead of standing at the door. He said the guy won't leave the door open when I'm not there. I asked him if maybe the meet me in lobby and we go together to the door. No, they couldn't do that. I went back to the door to wait and tried again and again while waiting and finally it worked. The hotel is definitely not maintained in a long time. All furniture is old. The walls haven't been painted in a long time. The bed looked clean though. I definitely won't go back to this property ever again. Probably, to no other La Quinta suites either.
- 3/5
There was an issue with the system. Everytime we came back to the hotel our key wasn’t working. Only 1 elevator was working. And the pool and gym were closed during our visit.

Luke warm showers after waking in nyc all day. Broken tv in the main bedroom. Toilet was clogging when flushing every time. Pull out bed was very stained and they did not have any covers for it or extra pillows for my kids. Pool was closed, we booked it for the pool. Kids are disappointed. The staff was friendly but did not help with any issues, besides offer too change rooms at 1am but said there could be a chance the water in that room would be the same way. He was very nice, it was just very disapointing. The breakfast was large and decent. The rooms were pretty quiet, there was a screaming baby next door that i didn't hear until i opened the door to the hall. They was a bus stop right in front of the place, so that was awesome. Just a miserable experience with the luke warm shower after a long day in the city.
- 2/5
Great staff, but the room and amenities were disappointing. The bathroom door was damaged, the bedding felt old and uncomfortable, and the pool wasn’t working. The friendliness of the team was the highlight, but the hotel needs improvements.

Clean room. Great staff and very helpful

Room was freezing all night my sauce and I had toncheck out within 30mins hoping it would warm up even once they sent (Maintenance)
- 2/5
Friendly staff, good location and somewhat affordable. Situated across the street from the 320 bus stop (takes you to NYC's Port Authority Bus Terminal in less than 25 minutes) The Cons: Place is not well maintained, Old and run down. Needs major overhaul. Sofa bed was unusable, broken and dirty. We're a family traveling with 3 kids, a sofa bed was a must.

It was maybe one of the worst experiences I’ve had I’ve stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham before and this location was just horrible Lobby had a bad smell when we arrived door was jammed shut and we kept having trouble with the door throughout our stay just an uneasy feeling specially having our kids with us. The Room was not to expectations pictures of room were definitely deceiving dirty walls stains on carpet throughout the room
- 5/5
Highest level of cleanness and excellent customer service
- 5/5
Had a nice stay, staff members, and hotel in general nice!
- 3/5
The staff was amazing. Pool and gym was out of order. Keys never worked to the doors always had to request for maintenance man to let us in. Didn’t like that house keeping only come around every 3 days. Huge hole in the wall where the shower was and that made me and my family very uncomfortable to shower.

- 1/5
Much upkeep was needed for this hotel. would not recommend. Breakfast in a bag is not what anyone's idea of a continental breakfast. The parking lot had huge potholes everywhere. The room and hallways had spackle and water stains everywhere. Not Ideal. The bathroom needs a lot of TLC, the toilet had a crack in it. rust everywhere.
- 3/5
It was disappointing that the Gym and Pool were being renovated during my stay. I wish I would’ve been informed prior to my stay. Sta

However they stopped serving a hot breakfast which is a big reason we like ot so much. That was disappointing. They did have a bagged breakfast. But it wasnt the same. This stay, our keys didnt work many times and we were on the 8th floor. This was annoying. Other than that it was a nice stay. The staff was VERY nice helpful.
- 1/5
Beyond that, while everyone at the hotel was very kind, and the room was spacious, the key did not work 29 out of 30 times. Good news: the hotel was always willing to help reset the key. Bad news: it would need to be reset every time you needed to use it.
- 1/5
The hotel lobby is disgusting. The seats are filthy and so are the rugs both in the rooms and lobby. There is no warm breakfast provided. The sack breakfast had expired juice. The pool and gym are out of service and only one elevator works for the entire hotel. Waiting for the elevator took a lo g time. The keys to the room did not work most of the time. So we had to take a couple trips to the lobby after a lobg day in the city and even then the keys still didn't work. It wad the worst hotel we have stayed at.
- 3/5
The customer service are great, no issue checking in and checking out, the location is great
- 2/5
There was no breakfast or Amenities available. Out of my 4 days stay they had no breakfast for 3 days which was also go to breakfast. They do mot have live breakfast going on. For Go to breakfast, they said they finished early or they do not have supplies. Their keys are also not working, one night I had to ask staff at 2 am in night to fix it so I can get in my room. Hotel pool was also out of service. Nothing of these was mentioned in their description on expedia. We called for refund many time but nobody called us back.
- 4/5
Buena ubicacion, Frente a parada de buses, el Desayuno es una Merienda en una Bolsita, instalaciones un poco descuidadas como alfombras Mobiliario. Lo compensa con el Buen trato del staff.
- 3/5
There was supposed to be buffet style breakfast but only offered bag with an orange a muffin, yogurt and orange juice
- 2/5
I requested two adjoining rooms, and we were down the hall from each other. The parking lot has huge potholes. The landscaping is horrible, not to mention unclean. I paid for an early check in and couldn’t get into clean room until 3:00, I was not reimbursed for the early check in fee. There was only 1 working elevator, and the continental was in a bag! Over-all I spent a lot of money on one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
- 1/5
Breakfast was in bag for all quest and door was jammed so key card could not work properly staff had to unlock it for us twice
- 1/5
Building conditions inside and outside terrible, at the moment the real breakfasts no available, problems with the pool, i had problems w the electricity in my room and the door. The shower curtain was very, very short, and all the water spilled out while showering.
- 2/5
Cleaning horrible. There was hair in tub they had to move me still horrible. I cleaned everything on my own. Pool out of order, gym out of order the whole point of vacation ruined. To top it off your breakfast was a doggy bag. Family’s with children do not come here. What a waste. Also outdated no tv streaming access slow WiFi.
- 1/5
Horrible experience. Every time we left the property and came back our keys will not work so we would have to go back down to get new keys. Only 1 elevator was working. Pool closed. It states “free breakfast/breakfast buffet” but it was just a bag with muffin, juice, and yogurt. Would not book again
- 1/5
Location was OK. Even the Uber drivers that picked us up from the property were cursing the maintenence of the parking lot with large potholes on the property.
- 1/5
There was no parking on site you had to park in the garage on the side of the building and the AC worked, but there was no way to control it so the room was freezing at all times
- 1/5
Door's key card non functional. I had to call the front desk twice to open the door.
- 4/5
Nice staff, clean rooms, spacious and close to nyc. Would come again even the room was outdated and the pool was closed for service
- 3/5
Ac unit was only working in one room. The bathroom had mold in the tub area. Door lock wasn’t good. They said breakfast included but never said breakfast was gonna be in a bag and cold. But staff was wonderful and very helpful.
- 4/5
The bad hing is that they do not offer buffet for breakfast like they advertised on all the websites.
- 3/5
Don't expect a 4 star hotel, overall it was a pleasant stay.
- 1/5
They was giving out bag breakfast. The hotel smelled like old coffee. The room key had to be exchanged multiple times. The rooms are outdated. The pool was not working.
- 3/5
I also didn’t feel completely safe with the door lock, which is something the hotel should really address. Amenities were limited—there was no pool or gym available, possibly due to repairs. Breakfast was very basic (bagged, similar to a school-style meal), though the coffee was good—which mattered for my mornings. That said, the staff really stood out. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and did their best to accommodate guests, which I appreciated. The location is also convenient, especially with the drop-off and pick-up for Port Authority right at the hotel—that was a big plus and close to the movies, other stores, Olive Garden and the American Dream Mall. For the price and for a short stay, it was manageable, but I wouldn’t stay more than a couple of nights. It’s not quite what I would expect in 2026, but it works if you just need a quick place to sleep.
- 3/5
Hotel is in solid location, entire property is need of updates. From paint to shower curtains, age and money saving attempts show dramatically. Staff was friendly and responsive, pool is drained, workout area is closed. The price certainly was solid for a suite, and the staff is obviously working; just investment needed
- 2/5
Packed bag of one muffin, an orange, a small juice, and yogurt was provided. Same thing everyone morning.
- 3/5
UNSURE ABOUT PETS. WI FI WAS OKAY
- 4/5
Nice
- 1/5
Terrible experience: no shower gel, lights not working, card keys not working. Everything was worn down, we had bag breakfast- muffin and yogurt only! Not worth going to this hotel!
- 2/5
This hotel was below standards. First, the pot holes in the front parking area. My hotel keys didn’t work. The pool said closed until further notice. The room was old and needs updating. The doors to the rooms need painting and the door locks are old and outdated. The couch was sunken in. The bathroom.. around the tub was mold. The shower/ tub.. it was hard to pull up the bath spout for the shower. I thought it was going to break. The continental breakfast was a joke. They handed you a baggy with an orange and kids size orange juice and yogurt. What happened to the bagels. Overnall, the hotel was not up to what I’d expected from La Quinta. I usually look for LaQuinta hotels. I think I will look at other hotels next time.
- 1/5
The rooms door did not feel safe it was cracked from side to side and the lock did not work. The shower was not clean and the water smelled like Clorox. The air conditioner was very outdated.
- 1/5
Property itself was terribly maintained. Changed room because ac wasn’t working (did t work in the other room either), door locks wouldn’t open despite multiple rekeying of card keys, no housekeeping, no hot water in shower the next day (luke warm the first day), no hot breakfast (despite saying that they did upon booking - offered doggie bags instead - muffin, small oj, yogurt, and an orange) - fitness room and pool are closed. My coworker had similar experience and they changed his room 3 times as well.
- 4/5
This property is decent for a short stay. It is an older property that can use some TLC however it is clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
- 2/5
Pool was not operating.
- 1/5
The bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the floors throughout the unit were dirty. Overall, the room did not appear to have been maintained or prepared for guests. Additionally, the amenities advertised were not available. There was no breakfast, no kitchen access, and no vending machines—everything seemed shut down as if the property was in the process of closing. The parking lot was in very poor condition, and I unfortunately got a flat tire due to the state of the roads, which I have photos of. The listing photos are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. My children did not feel comfortable staying, but due to the late hour, we had no other option. I would not recommend staying here.
- 3/5
Property condition old. Needs maintenance and update. Elevators always very late. Only 1 was working. Not expecting cold breakfast. Coffee found cold all the time. Maybe short of staff or any other reason. Only the location was great.
- 4/5
Staff very customer service oriented. Will stay again.
- 1/5
Stayed here last year and I thought they would have made at least a little effort addressing some of their previous issues. After a year there's still only one workung elevator. The pot holes in the parking lot have gotten worse. And now they have decided to eliminate the only good thinf they had, the breakfast. Its now a "bag" breakfast, and if you don't like it, too bad. Would never stay here again. And Expedia sgould have been aware of the breakfast and the general conditions of this run down hotel.
- 2/5
Hotel itself was also not in the best shape.
- 1/5
This stay was horrible, not a clean hotel. It doesn't look like anything from the website, I would not stay here in my worst day. Horrible furniture and everything is outdated.
- 1/5
Avoid this hotel. The property is old, poorly maintained, and nothing like the photos online. The sofa bed was broken and unusable, and the “breakfast” was just a small bag with a muffin and yogurt. Very disappointing experience.
- 4/5
The front desk staff were great very kind and professional. We stayed in one of the suites which normally i just always get a room with 2 queen beds but since there were 5 people this stay the couch bed came in handy.
- 2/5
I have stayed here a few times and this recent stay was not good at all. They informed last minute the pool was closed. The bedroom sheets was stained with nail polish of some sort. The room for some reason smelled like feces during the night. To top it off the next morning they were not serving breakfast. Due to unforeseen circumstances. They provided a breakfast bag which included nuts without even considering those with nut allergies. Other stays have been decent but this one was upsetting.
- 4/5
Staff friendly, clean room breakfast wasn't that great.
- 1/5
For our 2nd time, there was no pool accessible and the breakfast has become a grab to go. Wifi was poor. The hotel needs to be renovated.
- 5/5
EXCELLENT
- 1/5
The stay was absolutely horrible because it was no HOT water for a shower. The water wasn’t even lukewarm it was freezing cold. We stayed 2 days and couldn’t shower I complained several times about this issue in Suite room 821. Also the breakfast was just a sack breakfast with stuff I can’t have. I picked this hotel because it had a hot continental breakfast which was false. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this establishment until they fix their hot water heater very disappointing
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
The employees are great, but the hotel needs an upgrade, no morning buffet and issues with the electric door card. Looks a little used up and hopefully they will upgrade this hotel. It’s close to everything and bus service is good. Thanks
- 3/5
The room was okay. One of the ac was not working.
- 3/5
The room was decent, the staff did well, there was no breakfast as advertised and the coffee was cold most of the time.
- 3/5
The room was simple and very clean. The bed linens could have been warmer for a cold night. The shower had cold water on the last day, and one night the elevator was out of order, forcing us to climb 9 flights of stairs. But the reception was very good! Aside from those setbacks, I liked it. 👍
- 5/5
Nice clean room
- 1/5
La habitación necesita remodelación y limpieza. El vestíbulo tiene mal olor. El acondicionador del cuarto no funcionaba.
- 4/5
It was okay
- 2/5
The rooms are very out dated and has broken walls, old furnitures, lack of hot water just not a pleasant place to stay at.
- 5/5
The staff is super
- 2/5
Room was freezing
- 5/5
Large room
- 1/5
Found rat feces in my bed. The room is very outdated and very very dirty. Customer service was pretty good. I guess. the breakfast is horrible I am not big on doing bad reviews, but this was just not it for my family
- 1/5
We checked in, lobby was rundown, furniture frayed and worn. There were no sheets or blankets for the sofa bed which was also worn and not at all comfortable to sit on. Had to go down and get the sheets myself at the front desk.I was there three nights and no one evere came to clean the room. Had to go to the front desk to get clean towels and toilet paper. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the tub backed up when you took a shower. This is truly the saddest property I've ever stayed at.
- 2/5
.
- 3/5
Our keys needed to be replaced daily because they would just stop working randomly
- 2/5
Not what should have been for the price we paid. Many things are broke including how the door handle opens by turning “up” instead of down like every other door made. So after a long day of traveling, we have to go back down and talk to the front desk (since no one answered the phone when called) to be told to just turn the handle the other way! Because I should have thought of that… The shower rod was designed to give you more space with the curved out design but since it was broken each end of the shower curtain left a foot gap which let cold air in the entire time you’re showering. Then why don’t we just turn the heat up? We can’t. We were told the “engineer” has to come in and adjust the temperature because some of the rooms don’t have adjustable temperature controls. Thankfully the shower facet had hot water but forget about the sink getting hot water. We came to this hotel last year and we were excited to return. However, after this recent stay I can say we will not be back.
- 2/5
The room was ice cold
- 1/5
The sink didn’t work, and we had no hot water. Place is gross
- 3/5
Poor breakfasts
- 3/5
The key does not work on the third floor, so I had to move to the ninth floor. Also, the hot water takes about 10 minutes to get hot. The room is good, the house is clean, and the cleaner works two days a week. However, the furniture looks quite old, around early 2000s
- 2/5
The pool is down for maintenance, the breakfast was bagged, the hot water was not hot, there was barely any water pressure and there was construction at 8 am that was pounding metal all morning.
- 1/5
I rented 2 suites for 2 days. Wanted a place with a pool and breakfast. Pool was not working,The front of hotel had overflowing trash and grounds were full of trash.one of the rooms the fridge didn't work.Toilet paper was low and had to go to desk for moreone room key didn't work and had to go to desk 3 times. Breakfast was in a room with no heat. The served powdered eggs with too much water burnt sausage toast with butter. Beverages were coffee, milk in a very dirty pitcher or lemonade. Second day breakfast was in a paper bag you had to pick up at desk in the morning. Room was run down and outdated. Very disappointed overall for the price i paid Poor management. I feel i should get refund on some of what I paid
- 2/5
There was not hot water and the room was very cold. The pet fee was $45 not $25 as the app stated.
- 1/5
The hotel was filthy, nothing like it is pictured when booking. Pool was closed our entire stay. Breakfast was nothing like it is pictured online when booking. Snack station had barely any options and has clearly not been restocked. Plumbing issues, issues with the key cards to get into our rooms. Heating system blowing cold air. No hot water to shower.
- 1/5
I had to switch my room three times and even when I was at the last room, there was blood stains on the pullout sofa, there was no hot water when taking a shower, the room was outdated, when turning up the heat, the rooms never got warm so it was chilli, the cheese, always deactivated so we had to go back downstairs to get the reactivate every time we wanted to go in and out of our rooms
- 2/5
Pool was closed for the duration of our stay with no advanced notice. Toilet in our room didn’t work properly. Breakfast was awful.
- 1/5
I chose this hotel for the pool, pool was closed the whole trip. No heat in 2/3 rooms, and found a pair of dirty used underwear behind the pillows in our “cleaned room” I would not stay here again, and would not recommend anyone to stay here.
- 1/5
We booked this hotel because of the pool. it was closed for maintenance the entire time and the handle was removed from the door it doesn't seem like the pool was ever going to be open. There was a large crack across the entire inside of the door that looked like a previous force entry the condition of the room was shabby with paint flaking from the ceiling and what looked like blood stains on the lower portion of the curtains on the window. The water was cool to Luke warm for showers. The condition of the breakfast area was pretty dirty at times, in The Breakfast pictured is not what we experience was just greasy sausage and watery eggs all three days. We checked out with the feeling that the reality of this hotel was nothing like the advertisement. The one positive thing I would say is that the staff were very kind people.
- 3/5
- 2/5
Booked queen beds, but in the room these were full. Dusty enviroment. Breakfast room too cold and shower not hot enough
- 2/5
Location was great for bus going into NYC. That’s the only positive.
- 1/5
The room was filthy and disgusting, the front desk was rude. Room was freezing and heater was not in function. Dirty towels, smelled also. Horrible stay and experience
- 3/5
Good hot breakfast, better than most hotel offerings and had many hot choices, more than most. Overall good breakfast included in price of room
- 2/5
Door lock to room malfunctioned and we sat in the hallway for 45 minutes waiting to get into our room after midnight. Other problems with lock during trip that didn’t take quite as long to resolve. Windows cracked. Door to bathroom got stuck with son inside. Continental breakfast was extremely lacking.
- 2/5
No hot water most of our weekend. When we were in the lobby, we overheard the company they called to look at the boiler tell the front desk “once again we come out here and tell you the same thing, there isn’t anything wrong with your boiler, you need an additional one to keep up with building size when it’s at capacity” He proceeded to tell her that a quote has been given to supervisor a couple times already before.
- 5/5
The rooms were spotless when coming in staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great time.
- 5/5
The room was great. The staff very very helpful
- 3/5
Needs better breakfast
- 1/5
Rude staff, dirty rooms, pool closed, broken door and key didn't work and maintenance couldn't even fix it, breakfast missing everything such as had hot water but no tea bags or anything to put into it, had toaster but no bread, etc - absolutely nothing redeeming.
- 2/5
Pool was closed for maintenance during our entire trip and we did not receive prior notice. We booked here specifically for an indoor pool. Room was decently clean; however many spots all over the walls and floor.
- 1/5
The upkeep of the hotel was underwhelming. The tub had rust in it there were stains on the wall, the shower function in the tub was hard to manage. We had to change rooms and the second room was not any better. The breakfast was awful. Would not stay here again. There was mold like stains in the hallway and in passing a room had a door that was split from left to right.
- 2/5
Unclean rooms not at all like in pictures
- 1/5
Was terrible not hot water
- 2/5
Also shower was clogged up.
- 1/5
Worst hotel. Its a run down hotel.
- 3/5
El agua del shower muy fria no se podia uno bañar en las mañanas
- 2/5
It was kinda ghetto I gues u get what u pay for ! There was barley any hot water wont be staying here again anytime soon!
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
No fruits, bad milk, breakfast menu make want to go McDonald instead. Hate the guy came to ask do I have coupon. This was my first time stay at the hotel like this.
- 1/5
The room was definitely neglected place is filthy very old and un kept eggs were ice cold the whole thing just was a disgusting event heat didn't work keys kept getting unprogrammed that place is very mismanaged according to the front desk staff come on Wyndham you can do better
- 1/5
We checked in and then checked right back out. This place is a dump. Don't be fooled by the misleading photos like we were. If it would let me post a pic of the stained up mattress, tattered and sunken-in sofa, and overall dilapidation of the place, I would. Thank God we were able to find another place last minute.
- 2/5
The check in staff said that’s all that’s available, sorry. See attached photos.
- 3/5
I stayed in room 506 and the ac unit worked in living room area but the ac unit in bedroom did not work.. i like to sleep in the cold and basically didnt get that good feeling i like.. plus the noisy highway next outside didnt help much
- 4/5
The staff was kind and welcoming every time we stepped in the hotel lobby and with any request. Perfect location for a bus stop to get into the city. Spacious room - perfect for my family size and great space for all of us. These things all added up to a way more positive experience than the state of the hotel.
- 2/5
The room was extremely basic. The mattress was from the 90’s. The pillows were small and cheap. The bathroom was in terrible shape. A classic NY/NJ cesspool.
- 1/5
Room has peeling paint. Terribly cold. Cold food with barely any food choice. Eggs terrible. Pool closed. Gym closed. Do not stay.
- 3/5
We had issues with the hot water service. We have been without hot water for a day and a half.
- 1/5
Won't stay again this hotel need revamp.
- 3/5
Room was good size for the price but was unable to turn heating on (winter is cold) which ruined the night. Hot water didn't work in the morning and wasn't able to change the tv hdmi because it was outdated so brought my fire stick to watch movies for nothing. Positives where the size of the room and gave us late check out for free
- 1/5
Took our 1yr & 9yr old kids to Nickelodeon Universe & the waterpark, booked this hotel and it was absolutely HORRIBLE!! We have never had such a horrible experience. Room was disgusting. Hair on the floor, bathtub was not cleaned I went to clean it and realized there was NO hot water!!!!! On top of our refrigerator not working at all. My daughter’s breast milk went bad. Us & the kids needed a hot shower/bath after swimming at the waterpark all day. I also had stuff that needed to be refrigerated so I brought my complains to whoever was working at the desk & he was rude thought my complaints were a joke and didn’t care. Said his boss wasn’t accommodating anyone for the issues and that hot water wont be back on that night or the next day. & that he will try to get a hold of someone for the fridge issue & that he knew about the hot water when I checked in but the hotel was working on it so he didn’t see the need to tell me beforehand like WHAT A JOKE!. As I was doing this my hubby took the kids to the “heated pool” pool was NOT heated it was freezing cold. We ended up just checking out and booking another hotel. Save your money not worth the headache, the disgustingness or the rude staff
- 1/5
They had no running hot water
- 1/5
No hot water
- 4/5
The hotel needs updating; the staff are amazingly helpfull.
- 2/5
Dirty
- 1/5
We did not have hot water and we had to take cold showers
- 5/5
Air conditioning and heater worked. Good Room amenities.
- 4/5
It was good enough
- 3/5
The breakfast was awful for the cost for one night.
- 1/5
I paid for and selected a King Size Bed. I got 2 double beds. The hotel was so outdated. There was water leaking from the ceiling. The shoeer curtain rod was dangeling from the wall, the curtain wouldnt stay closed. If you take a shower water goes everywhere. Then the shower head needs to be replaced as more water comes out from the pipe then the shower head. There are Motels that look way better then this hotel. I don't understand how they allow guest to stay there. The breakfast was a joke. It was in a unleveled abandon restaurant l. There wasnt much light in there at all. There was staff wearing Adidas track pants and a Laquinta sloppy button up working the area. This hotel was such a disappointment. I couldn't even stay there. It was such a waste of money.
- 1/5
This hotel seems to not have been updated since the 90’s. I found what looks like black mold growing on the ceiling tiles in the bathroom, which were mere inches from my head and I’m just 6’2”. The furniture was in disrepair, there was a bad draft from the AC/Heating unit and the temperatures in NJ dropped into the teens, the door handle to the room was in disrepair and required janitorial staff to show me how I need to lift the handle then turn it. The entire building was in disrepair, marred walls everywhere, anything made of wood had its finish peeling and chipped away. Honestly, they need to tear this building down and put up something of better build quality. The parking lot is disintegrating also, the disabled parking spaces are mostly gravel now pitted and crumbling. Overall LaQuinta should be avoided at all costs unless it’s all you can afford. My wife recommended I stay because she stayed in them before and they were decent but failed to mention that was almost 30 years ago.
- 1/5
No running hot water, no enough pillows, not enough blankets.
- 1/5
I would never recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy
- 3/5
Overall, it was clear that the hotel was tired and a little run-down. Our room was clean, but there were noticeable mold spots on the ceiling tiles in the bathroom, a shaky, broken main door that had been obviously repaired, and a lack of hot water, which made it challenging to enjoy the couple of nights we stayed there. Still, luckily, it was available and a short bus ride to NYC. I would stay there again in a pinch, but it was definitely on the cusp of questionable in my book.
- 3/5
There was a fish odor coming through the vents when the air was put on. Also front desk attendants were very short and didn’t provide information about parking and breakfast during check in unless asked
- 5/5
Awesome place
- 2/5
Poor experience
- 5/5
Awesome
- 4/5
The only negative was that there at times was no hot water for a shower.
- 5/5
Room was older but clean.
- 2/5
ROOM SERVICE VERY POOR. FIRST TIME COMING ACROSS AMERCIAN HOTEL WITH SUBSTANDARD SERVICES.
- 1/5
The place is clearly neglected. Needs to be demolished and start over. The air units in our room (214) did not work. One didn’t work at all. Top cover was hanging off and the power would not even come on. The unit in the bedroom worked but blew cold air. In the “living room” area, the unit didn’t work at all and if it was even 55 degrees in there I would be very surprised. They comped us the first night. I have stayed there at least 10 times and never had a problem. Needless to say I won’t be staying again. Wyndham has done thing since they took over as far as I can tell. Right now they are apparently they are redoing the fitness center. Yeah that’s way more important than heat in the winter. SMH
- 2/5
The staff is wonderful kind people!!! The hotel is just really run down and needs a full overhaul. Heating was not working thankfully I checked in late and left early in the morning. The breakfast was really not good. The person serving was really nice though.
- 1/5
The room was freezing cold upon arrival and adjusting the thermostat made no difference. After returning from the day, the room was still cold and the shower water remained lukewarm, making it hard to warm up. We slept in multiple layers to stay comfortable. The next day, the toilet stopped flushing, which we reported along with the temperature issues. When we returned, the room had become unbearably hot, with vents blasting heat. The toilet flushed once and then ran nonstop for the rest of our stay. The TV had limited channels, and the remote could only lower the volume, not raise it, requiring manual adjustment. Room keys only worked sporadically and frequently needed reactivation, unless swiped at a very specific speed. The room was serviced once during our stay and we were given just one small bottle of shampoo and one bar of soap at check-in. It was not refreshed during the single cleaning. The continental breakfast was extremely disappointing: boxed eggs, hard waffles, overly sweet juice, spicy sausages, and bread. The coffee was poor, and everything was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. The hotel appeared run-down, with stained furniture, old carpets, peeling paint, and a strong fish odor in the hallway. Aside from the friendly staff, this was a very poor experience.
- 1/5
The bathroom shower didn’t work has mold. Bed sheet has statins and the room don’t look the same.
- 1/5
Rude staff. Dirty room. No towels. Horrible breakfast
- 5/5
The staff were polite, the hotel is old, but the room was clean, we liked it!
- 2/5
One of the climate control units did not work. The temperature of the room was very hot and it took a whole day to cool it down because the unit that worked was in the living room. The carpets were old and had a smell. The walls were yellowed and dinghy. The hotel looks like it needs a complete facelift. The water in the room also never got hot, it was lukewarm at best. In the cold of winter, it was less than favorable to have to take a cool shower. Lastly, they ran out of pillows and linens. We had to share pillows and still one of our roommates did not have one. I will not be staying here of I ever revisit the area.
- 5/5
The staff was awesome! Breakfast should be from 6:30 am all the individual left to See the parade by 6 and not even coffee was made. The room was clean I just think the couch in our room was out dated and dirty! The furniture in the lobby was so dirty people who were waiting were all talking about how nasty it was. Corporate needs to visit.
- 5/5
Excellent. Thank you
- 1/5
The bathroom didn’t flush so they handed us a bucket for we can flush the toilet with that
- 3/5
Looks old and there is poor maintenance. Half of the lights in the elevator not working any more and there is no-one to fix them. You can see more examples in other areas
- 4/5
Staff was great, room was good, we hope to be back soon
- 2/5
Although I stayed for two nights, housekeeping did not service my room after the first night. Everything else is good.
- 3/5
Ambience is not good. A but oldish and breakfast is not good.. very less options
- 1/5
The key wasn’t working. I had to put in a lot of effort just to open the door. The room wasn’t clean, it was cold, and there weren’t enough blankets.
- 3/5
Good
- 5/5
Staff was great check in was a breeze
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Breakfast could have more variety, room wasn't cleaned 2 of the 5 nights we were there.
- 3/5

- 4/5
MY REVIEW WOULD BE BE AMAZING IF NOT FOR THE DEEP UGLY POTHOLES AT ENTRANCE. PLEASE, PLEASE FIX THEM !!
- 3/5
amenities could have been better taken care of
- 4/5
Good for your money. Kinda looked liked Disneys Haunted Mansion lol…breakfast was meh. I felt so bad for the front desk girl. She was there around the clock no breaks. Our last night there was a party in one of the rooms next to us and a fight broke out. If you don’t get parking out front you have to park in a creepy lot outback. Nice pool. Shopping and eating very close by. 20 mins from NYC. Could definitely use a facelift but good for the price and location.
- 1/5
Room 1: Door wasn't secure. Dust falling from air vents. Walls and carpert dirty. Room 2: No hot water at all. Walls and carpet dipty. Ceiling tiles displaced. m ](
- 5/5
Very comfortable and clean.
- 3/5
Room key had to be reset everyday, poor selection of items for breakfast, rooms need updated.
- 5/5
Was missing shampoo conditioner and soap
- 2/5
Staff did their best are were friendly. But the rooms were dirty and all smelled of pot in the 2 rooms we tried to stay in. Unfortunately would never return
- 5/5
Staff, parking safe.
- 3/5
Okay
- 1/5
this place is rated a 7 and I can't see how. it's more like a 2 - bad all around. Would NOT recommend to anyone.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
Front desk staff was excellent, helpful as needed. Housekeeping was not good, did not clean our room the last 2 days, was given a stare down by one of the older ladies who barely spoke English for leaving our used towels outside the door because our room wasn't cleaned!
- 5/5
nice hotel great city view
- 3/5
Heater did not work first night parking was good
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly!
- 4/5
The room was clean. I liked that it had a living room area, in additionto the 2 beds. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't great. There weren't many options. Also, there weren't enough towels at the pool. We waited and waited. Maybe asked beforehand do you won't be cold while waiting.
- 4/5
Everything went fairly well. The only two issues were that when we arrived after our 10 hour drive the first two rooms they tried to put us in the emergency fire lights were flashing. And then by the time they got us into a third and final room our cards had deactivated. Joe the guy working there was perfect and handled it very well. I honestly think it was the shift before him that dropped the ball. Then finally one of the elevators was out of service so I made checkout less than ideal taking all the luggage down all the steps. However, if you’re wanting to use public transit into NYC this is the safe, clean, and friendly place to stay.
- 2/5
Service was great but the quality of the room was poor. Holes in the wall, dirty ceiling tiles and the water barely heated up.
- 4/5
Overall our stay there was good.
- 4/5
Overall good, bathtub needs an upgrade, rusted
- 3/5
Staff is very nice but they need to change all the couches and carpet in the lobby they are really dirty. Room was good.
- 1/5
The room and the entire building smelled like old mole and the furniture in the lobby and carpet was dirty. When I got to my room after a long drive I took a shower and brush my teeth in the sink, which got stopped up so I called front desk and she said maintenance would have to come in my room. At this time I was showering so I said come later but when I went back to the bathroom it was a puddle of water on the floor. The sink pipes was leaking pretty bad. I had no choice but to call for maintenance. When he arrived he brought in this loud dirty vacuum which was very loud by the way, keep in mind I just wanted to shower and sleep. So while he begin vacuuming he had another guy come in and was on the floor on his back trying to fix whatever was leaking. I had already asked for a different room calling from the room phone the front desk said they were sold out. I then called from my cell just to see if they had any rooms, she then said they do, I then explained that I was a current guest and was told y’all were sold out. After all that she then proceeded to give me another room but only had one bed and I needed two because I didn’t want to share a bed with my guest. Since that was the only option I had to take it or stay in the room with men working on the floor trying to fix the leak. I never experienced that in my life. I will not be returning to this hotel
- 5/5
Comfortable stay
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
- 3/5
Toilet was not functioning for most of our stay. Maintenance were supposed to arrive in15 minutes, but no one showed up until later.
- 4/5
The location was very convenient. We used the bus to Times Square which was very convenient
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Close to NY
- 3/5
The location is good but they need to remodel
- 3/5
Breakfast limited and sub-par quality. Whole property needs renovation - broken doors and tub, needs paint everywhere, hallways smell terrible, fitness room out of service, pool water opaque.
- 1/5
The driveway is comparable to the surface of the moon- our car about lost an axel driving to the front door. The room is so outdated the pictures are a 180 from the reality. The breakfast was horrendous- watery powdered eggs, half cooked sausage, rubbery waffles, coffee that tasted like actual dirt and brown OJ… the pool was disgusting and the size of a small backyard pool in a dark dirty room. Multiple people waiting 20 min for the front desk girl to come in from outside because nobody’s keycards work - a daily occurance
- 3/5
Al menos los matress eran cómodos, el aire enfriaba bien.
- 5/5
Despite the sewage faul smell, I highly recommend this hotel 🏨
- 4/5
It was a okay I’ll stay again in the future..staff are amazing.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Everything was great except the parking conditions.
- 5/5
I wasn’t even there 24 hours, but it seemed pretty nice. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable nice little sitting area upfront. Most definitely will book again.
- 3/5
Pisos descuidados, lobby sucio, las puertas de los cuartos sucias y rotas. Bañera llena de moho, la estadia era para 6 personas y ho contaban con almohaas y sabanas para el sofa cama.
- 3/5
$250 per night??? This hotel doesn’t deserve $50
- 2/5
Hopeless breakfast and service
- 3/5
Hotel need to be completely refurbished.
- 3/5
The facility, lobby, rugs, and hallways were not in the best shape. The carpet in the room was dirty / stained. Very lukewarm water for a shower. Some outlets didn't work in the room. The bed and sheets were clean.
- 4/5
Please upgrade and maintain this beautiful facility. Great staff
- 5/5
Amazing place.

Location was great!!! Food and shops right around the corner. Walmart a few mins away. Bus 320 right across the street to Port Authority. $4.95 each way. Can pay cash, card, or Apple Pay on the way over but you have to use Apple Pay or purchase a ticket at a kiosk. Some security says ticket only. I recommend downloading the NJ Transit app to purchase the ticket and doing it that and you can also see when the next bus is coming. Your gate is 314 at Port Authority, the kiosk or app will tell you this also. Hotel was nice enough for a quick weekend stay. Price was reasonable. Like others said, it needs updated. Even the toilet paper holder was old and rusty lol. I’ve stayed in worse though. Would definitely stay here again due to the location and ease of the NJ transit bus getting to NYC.

The Property Can Surely Use Some Room Updates, Aside From The The Housekeeping Staff Keep The Rooms Pretty Clean. Plenty of Dining Options within Walking Distance. Walmart Supercenter Is A Eight (8) Minute Walk From The Hotel. Sam’s Club Is Next Door To Walmart. Please keep in mind that the hotel serves breakfast in the morning, but you’re not allowed to take the food up to the room!

Very good! I will be returning next time.

Need some changes for breakfast
- 3/5
It was affordable and safe
- 5/5
Beds are comfy, rooms are large, and Andrew at the front desk is informative and really helpful.
- 1/5
Area was not safe. Lots of homeless people. Staff very lousy not appropriate manners and directions when asked upon. Room key messed up 7-8 times during the whole stay. And breakfast was the same meals(which is appreciated) for 4 days straight. Just wished me and my family's experience could've gone better
- 5/5
The room was clean just the wifi was very slow
- 3/5
The property needs a huge upgrade, from the parking to the doors,
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at this location.
- 5/5
For location, ease, quiet, cleanliness, cost and spacious, a very good choice,

Staff is good

- 4/5
The staff could have been more welcoming. She was not very friendly.
- 3/5
The breakfast really made up for the room. Our first room had leaking water coming from above the shower head. This hotel is due for some upgrades, but the stay was ok.
- 3/5
I absolutely love this hotel—my family and I are regulars, especially for events. The staff are always wonderful and welcoming. However, the room we booked yesterday was disappointing. It felt dark, some of the lights weren’t working, and the doors were damaged. For the price, the rooms could use a bit of an upgrade, and the breakfast quality could be improved.
- 1/5
Room was dirty. Stains on the couch arms like they have never been cleaned. Mildew in the shower. Stains on the floor. I was discussed. Even the pool was nasty. The breakfast was awful 😖. I will never go back. They should be ashamed.
- 5/5
Easy access to shops
- 2/5
*A/C compressor broken (making it too noisy and hot in the room) to sleep. Although maintenance came to inspect, I was informed of the issue, but it was not repaired and a different room was not offered. * Complementary Breakfast choice has been minimized to way less items. *Room keys did not work upon arrival (unless you attempted unlocking numerous times, then take the elevator back downstairs to get the key reprogrammed numerous times (even when key was not stored near a phone) *mold along seams of shower *No complementary water or coffee in room (even though there was a coffee maker.) Coffee sugar/creamer package was previously opened and missing creamer, sugar & stir stick (only had a packet of artificial sweetener)
- 2/5
The property definitely needs an update. The room next to us had a broken door.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful
- 5/5
La Quinta is our choice for hotel stays
- 2/5
There is no gym or fitness area. The photos of their gym on their website and on the Hotels.com booking page are deceptive. Per their own employees at the front desk, the gym has been closed for a very long time, at least a year, supposedly for renovation, but no work on the gym has taken place. It is simply closed. The hotel prefers to deceive people into thinking they have a gym by leaving those photos and amenity description on their website. If they choose to not have a gym, that is fine, but they should shoot straight with customers and list it as having no gym so people can make an informed decision when booking.

Beds are the most uncomfortable I ever had and need to have a chiropractor appt now. I should have just slept on the floor and. not use Wi-Fi.

The room and staff

Overall the stay was very good and like I said the room was very comfortable and clean.

- 3/5
Easy transport service and lots of facilities around the hotel. Very friendly staff
- 2/5
I loved my stay and how accessible it was to the city but Saturday night I had a very strange and rude encounter with staff that genuinely ruined my entire outlook on the hotel the woman at the desk Friday when we arrived was so nice and sweet but Saturday her attitude was terrible and is honestly the reason I will never rebook with you guys
- 4/5
Great economy hotel. Needs a facelift, but overall good experience, with friendly and hardworking staff!
- 5/5
Great pool...Wonderful Staff
- 4/5
Location was good for the activities we planned. Staff was polite. Room keys were not user friendly.
- 4/5
Enjoyed my stay was very close to everything!
- 5/5
Last minute switch from a really bad hotel to here. What a huge difference. Only bad things were, the toilet was broken. And the parking area out front was always flooded and huge potholes. Other then those two things, great place
- 1/5
Bedbugs
- 4/5
Busses across the street to New York. Very easy. The room could be a bit cleaner. There were stains on walls and on carpet. Bed was comfy. We were only there to sleep so it did the trick.
- 2/5
Kind staff, hotel needs some love and updating
- 1/5
This hotel was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in to attend a sporting event. I would have changed hotels shortly after checking in if hotels nearby hadn’t been full. We stayed 3 nights and not once did the room get cleaned or the towels get replaced. It does not qualify to be named LaQuinta.
- 4/5
Pool was great definitely Family friendly
- 3/5
It is an old establishment in need of renovation but a decent place for quick stay, if you keep your expectations low. A budget stay.
- 1/5
Getting outside of the room: The hotel was under construction and lacking several amenities like the gym. The complimentary breakfast was laughably bad. It’s been a little while since I’ve stayed at a La Quinta, but my family used to stay in them whenever we’d travel - all of that to say that this is by far the worst one I’ve ever stayed at. At $250/night, this was an astronomically bad value for money. We could’ve (and should’ve) stayed elsewhere during these dates for a far more reasonable price. It’s also worth noting for anyone checking reviews that we’d booked this stay to attend a concert at MetLife. The inconvenient transportation post show is obviously not the hotel’s fault, but for anyone going to an event there, I would not recommend.
- 4/5
Very easy to get to NYC, the NJT was right outside the door of the hotel.
- 3/5
I liked that the metro system or the bus was that walking distance
- 3/5
I liked that the metro system or the bus was just a walking distance.
- 5/5
Super easy check-in, friendly staff, room and bed kept very clean, bathroom and shower were plenty acceptable. Appliances such as the TV and mini fridge worked fine. This spot did me well during my stay in the NY/NJ area, and for a steal of a price. Would stay again
- 2/5
No hot water, pillows were tiny and felt like bricks, the air conditioner rattled
- 1/5
We arrived early, and they allowed us to store our luggage until our room was ready. This hotel needs an update badly. The carpet, and chairs in the lobby are disgusting
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and helpful. I was able to have a later checkout (it was offered by expedia and they honoured it). The place needs a little love but for us it more than adequately met our needs. I would stay there again.
- 3/5
While the staff and customer service was amazing; the property is beyond dirty. The rooms were gross, paint chipping, wallpaper that has been painted over is pealing, the rugs are disgusting, bathroom was falling apart. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere else. If you do not care what the room/place looks like and how dirty it is, stay here. Again, staff and customer service was beryond great.
- 5/5
the hotel room was clean no issues with check in or check out process.
- 5/5
The gentleman who treated me at the counter for check-in was very pleasant and helpful. He was also there when I got up for breakfast the next day and once again, very pleasant.
- 5/5
Very convenient to Met Life Stadium. Staff very friendly.
- 2/5
Nothing but shops nearby were good
- 3/5
The pullout mattress from the couch was dirty. There was no soap shampoo. Only one of the AC worked in one room and not the other. It was only great location for the American dream trip.
- 5/5
We had a view for Empire State Building
- 1/5
DIRTY with bugs in the bathtub. Worm out furniture with torn fabric. Staff were not friendly.
- 2/5
This is an old hotel that needs an upgrade to ask this price per night. There is an AC pipe in the bathroom ceiling that is leaking, leaving lots of water on the floor. The answer was : all rooms are like that, just mop it with towels and turn down the AC slowly. Phone in our room was not working so we had to go downstairs every time we wanted to ask something to the front desk. They came to repair the phone, but a few hours later, still no line! We reserved a room with a sofa bed, but there were no additional sheets and pillow for it. And the pillows were very mushy and worn out. At least, breakfast was good. Had I paid 125$/night for this, I would have been satisfied. It’s definitely not worth the double!!
- 5/5
Easy to find and close to NY
- 5/5
Close to MetLife
- 3/5
Overall the place was a good price and location to metlife stadium. Room and place in general was very very dated and is need of renovations. 95 is outside so it's pretty loud at night, especially as one of ny windows did not shut all the way. Staff was very pleasant and the view of NYC was also nice.
- 4/5
Pillows suck everything
- 3/5
No shampoo No lotion available in bathroom
- 5/5
We could not have asked for a better experience and hospitality during our stay at La Quinta. The bus stop is right outside the hotel providing services to New York. The breakfast was good, basic but very convenient because they provide large seating arrangements. The hotel looks good for its age and the arch features along the corridors make a statement.
- 3/5
Parking was fine, convenient to the bus stop, front desk staff were very helpful
- 4/5
Not the most modern facilites, but it doesn’t matter because this location has a vintage charm to it and nice natural scenery around it. Conveniently located within walking distance of a bus stop, food places, gas station, and liquor store. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and everything is generally very clean. My only reasons for docking the 5th star are the non-password-protected wifi that’s slower than my cell service and a bit of mold/mildew in more hidden/hard to reach areas of the bathroom. Overall, lovely experience and would stay there again. :)
- 2/5
Very bad breakfast
- 2/5
Front lobby looks great and staff was friendly enough. The rooms however were very dissapointing. Looks like they have not been refurbished sinced the eighties. Carpet was littered with cigarette burns, walls and paint was scratched. The couch was stained with what appeared to be multiple different stains of varying colors. Furniture and TV extremely dated and the bathroom was gross. Water stains, buildup in corners, bulging brown areas that appeared water logged. Breakfast was above average and the dining area was very nice and clean.
- 5/5
It’s nice
- 1/5
The room was not lit properly, it was not cleaned, sofa and bathroom are not good. and I saw ants in multiple places. Could not sleep whole night, I had to wait until next morning to vacate only because I could not get another place to stay that night. I asked for at least partial refund for that night if not full refund, front desk guy first said full refund will be given, but denied immediately a minute after dont know why. would not recommend this place to anyone.

- 5/5
Nice & easy check in! Front desk is great! They found my sons phone!
- 4/5
Lovely breakfast and great location.
- 2/5
the hotel is run down. Had problems with room key, smelled like cigarettes in the hallway.
- 3/5
The air conditioner was blowing out hot air and someone walked in my room with a key after I checked in
- 5/5
Agradable, muy educados y atentos. Fuy por primera vez a NY y el Hotel muy tranquilo.
- 2/5
The hotel needs an update asap, paint chipping, stains on cielings, broken entrance room doors, almost looks abandoned. Did not feel comfortable staying here
- 5/5
Great hospitality
- 3/5
The staff was friendly. The room was clean. But updating & renovations are greatly needed. It was ok for a quick stay and good location to places to eat.
- 5/5
Close to bus to nyc , polite friendly staff and clean hotel and room
- 2/5
Breakfast was good. Size of room was good. Overall was good just inn got old. Need repairs. Staff was nice and helpful
- 3/5
The staff and cleaning crew were all very professional and helpful. The facilities are very outdated. Breakfast is not good quality, but at least it’s
- 4/5
The price is reasonable and room is big . The public transportation is very convenient to commute from Secaucus to downtown new york.
- 5/5
Front desk representative was such a sweetheart .
- 3/5
Room is outdated but always found it clean. Breakfast was better in the past but just average now.
- 1/5
Don’t stay here. Absolutely disgusting. From the front desk to the wallls to the room key not working and it being scorching hot in the hallways. Wouldn’t eat a thing from anything in there. Bathroom drop ceiling above the showers completely falling literally dropping from above our heads. Huge rip off
- 3/5
It was okay, very convenient to get to Times Square.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
The room itself was ok, but our room door was broken (cracked in middle), the toilet sink was choked, staff was not very helpful (Amy at counter was great though). Also the breakfast was probably the most basic "included breakfast" i have ever had. The location is very convenient with a bus stop right across the hotel that drops near Times Square in under minutes for $5. Hotel room price was good. Overall, if they fix basic issues and renovate the property, i will stay here again.
- 5/5
15 minutes from MetLife stadium and the American dream mall, convenient bus stop out front the hotel
- 3/5
The service and staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant. The property was just okay, and while the room was functional, it could have been cleaner and is in need of some updates. The complimentary breakfast and pool were decent, nothing special but a nice bonus. Overall, an average stay, fine for a quick trip.
- 3/5
This hotel was fine. We were able to check in early, which was nice. The place feels very outdated; there were fans placed around the halls and cracks in some of the walls/doors. It wasn’t unclean, but because it was outdated it could be perceived as dirty. We were there for two nights, but housekeeping did not check on our room/make the bed/bring new towels after night one. The breakfast was very basic, offering paper plates. The staff were all very professional and willing to help when approached. It was a fine place for a quick stay (concert at MetLife).
- 3/5
Convenient but dated
- 3/5
The property was close to the American Dream Mall. They were able to accommodate most of my party being in nearby rooms.
- 5/5
Its amazing .. property and rooms are clean. Breakfast was excellent .. overall good stay.
- 5/5
Love it
- 1/5
Rooms are very bad. Carpet looks like never cleaned. Very stinky. Washrooms terrible. Always need a plunger. Online pictures showing very clean and perfect place yo stay buy reality is opposite. Do not look at lower $$$. It will.spoil ur vacation mood. Will never come back and will never recommend.
