Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, particularly Dorothea. However, there are consistent complaints about the lack of breakfast, outdated facilities, and issues with ants and other pests in the rooms. Some guests also express concerns about the neighborhood and the noise level.

The place wasn't terrible. But also by no means a great hotel that I would return to. It was a place to sleep. I've paid similar prices for better quality, but I think you're paying for the fact that it's in Seattle and close to Green Lake. That's it. The rooms and bathrooms are small. Old TV. We did appreciate the mini fridge though, and Dorothea was wonderful. You will hear road noise from busy Aurora Ave. Maybe even people yelling at each other outside. There's a bus stop right by the hotel, you may get a few interesting characters hanging out there. Just go in with reasonable expectations.
- 3/5
The internet was so bad. It kept going off every 5 minutes. The office responded by having it rebooted but that made no difference. I should get a credit because it really wasn't useable. The TV blacked out a few times as well. Considering this hotel isn't in the middle of nowhere, but in the center of Seattle, you should have excellent internet service

Very good

Housekeeper was really kind and did a good job with room maintenance and had a friendly attitude

If we could have we would have gotten our money back.

Nothing. It was not clean and for a non smoking room it smelled light cigarettes. If we could have we would have gotten our money back.

The receptionist was incredibly accommodating! The bathtub didn't look clean so we couldn't shower.

Nothing they canceled my reservation. The staff were extremely rude and mean. They kept referring to me as a homeless bum. I am a visitor to their city not a homeless bum.

Clean, great staff I thought on the website it said that it was 5 miles from the airport but was actually 22 miles and an $80 cab ride to it.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There was a city bus stop directly beside the motel that ran every 10 minutes. It was very noisy.

Affordable and available on short notice. The staff were helpful and friendly. Large amount of drug users in the immediate area, room was very warm and no AC.
- 2/5
Disappointing

The women running the place was horrible, mean and unpleasant. Would never return to this place.

Front staff were lovely and the location and parking for the price can’t be beat!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Central location with access to downtown. Free parking a plus. Aurora street a bit sketchy outside the property but not a big issue.
- 5/5
We took public transportation
- 5/5
The front desk personal was exceptional. Very friendly and extremely helpful :) It was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Quiet location and even though it felt like a 2/3 star hotel, the cleaners and staff made it a 5 star :) Thank you!
- 1/5
The staff was rude and very unhelpful. I couldn’t even stay there as no one was available to help me. In addition I was sick and needed a place to sleep it off. As I was looking for help I was offered drugs! It was a crap place I didn’t even stay and was still charged even with the reservation being less than 30 mins
- 1/5
Property is not clean, lots of mold growing on bathroom ceiling, it was hard to breathe in the room due to some strong chemical smell. The service is awful, there’s an older lady that runs the place and she’s very mean!
- 5/5
It was good for a night !
- 3/5
I arrived late but was easily accommodated. Let’s just say you get what you pay for and this place is not bad but not exceptional either so 3 stars it is.
- 5/5
I made my initial reservation with a debit card on Hotels.com, and when I arrived at the hotel, they said they couldn't run debit cards. I've never had an issue like this before. I reviewed the policy given when booking, and it states, "This property accepts credit cards. Cash is not accepted." So here is your warning that although debit cards are not mentioned, they are listed as cash. Thankfully, I had a credit card to use, but if someone is traveling without one or without enough on it, it could create a problem. Other than that, our stay was quite enjoyable! The room was clean and the staff was helpful. There was a lovely older woman who gave us a recommendation for a breakfast restaurant, and it was fantastic! It is in an area where I would advise ensuring your valuable belongings are with you and not left in the car.
- 1/5
Good for what it was, staff was very unfriendly
- 5/5
We told her not to worry about cleaning our room since we were only booked for two nights. The following morning, she stopped by to offer fresh towels and ask if we needed anything additional. It was a nice, personal touch. I'll definitely stay here again. The price point is perfect, and it's a short drive to downtown Seattle.
- 1/5
However, the receptionist was nice and it was close to the bus and a nice diner.
- 3/5
Fair for the price
- 5/5
There’s a Jack in the box nearby, which is very adorable
- 1/5
Lady at front desk was very rude, from beginning till check out
- 4/5
Little lady in the office was very accommodating.
- 5/5
We arrived to the hotel and checked in with ease. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly. The room was great and quiet, I would stay here again.
- 3/5
A basic motel
- 3/5
Bus line's are great. Alot of homeless in the area. Felt safe on property. Good Manager.
- 1/5
Room was full with desk and …………
- 4/5
Food was left in the fridge from the previous occupant.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 3/5
Too many homeless inside
- 1/5
I had to move to the other room later night.
- 4/5
Easy access to what we needed. Definitely could use some renovation and a new ice maker which didn't work.
- 1/5
That had a very poor wifi it was frustrating as it kicked in and out. I won't stay in a Travellodge again
- 4/5
Not bad of a place to stay
- 1/5
My wife and I travel often and this is one of the worst rooms we've ever stayed in. It would be unacceptable at half the price. To make matters worse any of the services offered like ice or laundry are locked down unless the miserably rude woman is in the office. The office was usually locked with a sign in the door saying to come back later. After committing to this hovel, I checked Google reviews. I suggest you do as well. Apparently the rude lady likes to kick people that complain out. We didn't say anything during the stay because of that fact. I was juggling 8 different lodging locations on our recent trip and missed checking opinions on this one. The harsh lesson of staying in this pit won't let that oversight happen again. DO NOT STAY HERE!
- 4/5
Clean quiet
- 1/5
Drove over ten hours to arrive to them telling me that they cancelled my reservation, and had no rooms available. Apparently they tried to charge my card I reserved the room with, before I even arrived… which im not sure why they would do that in the first place. I’ve never had a hotel charge my card before check in. Every hotel in Seattle (and the surrounding areas) were completely booked. So I had to sleep in my car with 2 kids and a dog. To top it all off there’s a bus stop right out in front of the hotel with tweakers hanging out. There were also 4 tents set up across the street with people camping. So it wasn’t even a safe area to sit in my car to try to figure things out. It’s no wonder this is a 2 star hotel.
- 1/5
The Wi-Fi went in and out constantly. That was annoying in itself but when I woke up to my nightstands covered in baby ants, and felt them crawling on me, I got out of there as fast as I could. That was awful!
- 4/5
Good location
- 4/5
Room was clean, no smell:)
- 2/5
You get what you pay for. We were happy to find a cheap Wyndham hotel. We now know why it was cheap. Horrible location (houseless transients and prostitutes welcomed us to the neighborhood)
- 5/5
Our stay was great! Staff was kind and helpful and our room was spacious and comfortable.
- 1/5
The hotel is in terrible place and don’t feel safe at all.
- 5/5
I usually stay at Marriott or Hilton’s but I was really really surprised about great this property is. Thank you so much to the older woman at the front desk, who helped me through a difficult time.
- 2/5
Good thing has the bus stops in from, bad things too dirty
- 4/5
I didn't know that this place was surrounded by drug users and prostitutes the bath tub was dirty the bathtub mat had hair and the ceiling had what looked like blood splash over the bed
- 1/5
The front desk lady is the worst. So rude and mean. Called to get help at the front desk since no one is there at front. Came without shoes and was talking very rude since the phone call.
- 3/5
The only thing bothered me there was no elevator, stairs only so it was hard for me to carry my luggage
- 1/5
Right in the middle of tweaker Central, unhoused people on drugs right in front of the motel. The receptionist is not helpful at all.
- 2/5
The person at the front desk and on call- Dorethea- was very nice and helpful. I liked that they didn’t wash towels every day unless requested to save on water. Bathroom was not clean at all with hair in the shower and dirty floors. The smoke alarm went off due to shower steam because there’s no way to ventilate the room other than opening a window. The low battery caused the smoke alarm to go off at random times and chirp. The only solution given was to take the battery out of the smoke alarm, and even though the alarm was also physically wired into the building, I didn’t think this was a good enough solution for my three day stay, especially since a worker told me this has happened more than once. Obviously location isn’t great since it’s along Aurora, so just don’t leave anything in your car, but rooms had locks and secure windows.
- 3/5
FD closes 12am!! FD lady was kind :)
- 5/5
Cost was low and no problems sleep good
- 2/5
The room wasn’t really clean
- 5/5
Quick , friendly check in
- 3/5
It’s ok but in a very busy traffic area
- 5/5
X
- 2/5
I should have taken pictures, but I was barely in the room. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling by its electrical wiring. There were dead bugs in the clogged sink. It hasn't been vacuumed or dusted in a very long time. The bed was like sleeping in a trampoline. I've stayed in lots of cheap hotels, but this one was definitely the sleaziest.
- 1/5
Do not stay here unless you are desperate! It was a very bad experience. We arrived about 1pm to find the lobby closed shut and no one there. We had all our luggage with us, no vehicle. I called the hotel number to only get an angry owner asking why I was bothering him during his rest time. I kindly explained the situation that we have nowhere to store our luggage and no vehicle. He could care less. A disgruntled employee finally showed up at 3pm and angrily gave us the keys to a room. Just to make things better, the neighborhood is extremely sketchy, cleaning lady said there was active prostitution going on and there was a loud hostile fight that broke out in the middle of the night. We were out the next morning even though we had payed for a longer stay.
- 5/5
Clean. Quiet. Hot shower. Economical.
- 3/5
This is motel 6 with change of name so if you're expecting anything more then don't
- 1/5
So, upon arrival I try to check in. I was hardly greeted by a very cranky woman who definitely seems like she's got better things to do. While trying to check in, I'm found with the fact that apparently this place only accepts major credit cards(Actual Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc). Without raising too much of a fuss, I try and ask why this is the case, in which my rude response was "That's the way the owners do things here." Now, I can accept the fact that for some reason, a place only accepts major cards or whatever, however the sheer intensity of this older woman's tone was just plain unnecessary. They say that the welcome of the guest essentially sets the mood/experience for their stay. I can only imagine what kind of experience I would've had had I actually possessed an "Actual credit card". Thankfully I was able to locate another place, otherwise I wouldve been on the streets for my stay.
- 5/5
The property manager is very nice and attentive.
- 1/5
Canceled reservation an hour after it was made and did not get my refund
- 4/5
Lots of street noise and area is not great with prostitutes walking the streets about 4 blocks a way. Lobby smells of cigarettes and often there is no one in the office an just a phone number. Price was super reasonable for Seattle $100/night for two queen beds and full bath on second floor. No smoking in the rooms and no lingering smell either. While they advertise that they will make up the room each day. they don't but I can make my bed.
- 2/5
Horrible Internet connection barely any. TV was not plugged in behind the unit but was plugged into wall Picture was absolutely horrible. Very pixelated. None of the electrical outlets would hold our plugs.
- 5/5
The staff is absolutely wonderful, pretty clean. The area around it is really sketchy. But you’ll be safe inside the property.
- 4/5
Our room was not as clean as it could have been. Beds were clean. Room smelled. Was definitely an older building. Not a very good neighborhood. Front desk clerk locked herself in the office.
- 4/5
Older,clean,friendly staff
- 2/5
Please say hi to the manager/front desk staff/security/cleaning lady, Dorothea (AKA Dorth Vader) for us. She hasn't had a day off in 19 years and it shows.
- 5/5
It's quite good given its price and location.
- 1/5
Very bad hotel. Please remove from the list. Terrible terrible terrible
- 4/5
Perfectly acceptable for the price. All I expected at this price point was to not have bedbugs and they didn’t so I can’t complain.
- 1/5
Absolutely stay away from this hotel. Nasty staff, everything is broken (ice machine, vending machine...) and is next door to some kind of homeless shelter. Not safe at all. We had a altercation with one of the drug addicts as soon as we parked. This place should not be on Hotels.com at all, they have a no refund policy and you will want to leave as soon as you get here. We left and booked a different spot, but were still on the hook for this place. Just a waste of time and money.
- 1/5
Except for the prostitute who woke me up having a party at 0200 in the morning until 0400 in the morning, whose headboard was slamming on the wall next to where I was sleeping, and the constant push of the snooze button that was so loud I thought it was a car alarm going off in the parking lot, the place was clean and the staff super helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
Dorthea is a fine person.
- 4/5
Lady at check in was a bit rude at first but she warmed up and was quiet nice. Room was comfortable, had a fridge, coffee pot and microwave, was close to the freeway and not far from downtown.
- 3/5
Nice enough hotel but the location was terrible. There was no ice, no breakfast, no pop machine, no close diners and if there was it would be sketchy for sure.
- 1/5
The location was terrible. There were homeless people set up on the sidewalk and prostitutes walking literally half naked all over. I did not feel safe and we locked ourselves in the room for the night and couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning.
- 3/5
Neighborhood was depressed but room and car was safe. Quiet at night. Very helpful manager.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable, Hallways and stairs need maintenance.
- 4/5
It was okay
- 4/5
Right on main road, Neighborhood a bit sketchy but had no issues
- 3/5
It was good stay. Nothing special but good enough.
- 1/5
Was gonna give two stars then the old woman argued with me about the wifi PW instead of just giving it to me. It's Pa$$word BTW. Walls were dirty, ants in the bed, shower was disappointing and the bathroom door wouldn't close. I won't be back.
- 3/5
It was an ok experience, ok cleanlinesd
- 3/5
Room 115 was clean, but it had about a dozen small ants on the sink, tables, and nightstands. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and it had a bed bug cover to prevent mattress infestations. There was a widescreen Samsung TV with dozens of channels to choose from. This hotel requires advance reservations since it's in a sketchy area, but I felt safe while staying here.
- 5/5
Close to where I needed to be. Staff was friendly and room was clean.
- 2/5
Located in terrible part of town. Property is run down. Bathroom was in very bad condition. Only positive was the staff. They were very nice.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Room was clean and tidy.
- 5/5
The Travelodge was quiet and comfortable
- 4/5
It was good other the carpet need to be replace. The room smell like wet carpet and to by disinfectant to maintain the odor.
- 1/5
Pretty hide
- 1/5
wifi did not work at the lady at reception did not seem to care to try and problem solve when I called. room had a nasty ant problem, wasn’t necessarily clean to start with. reception lady called at 10:45 and stated that check out is in a half hour, which I thought was weird because I was under the impression check out was at 11, but then she rudely showed up at my door at 11:05 to tell me to scram and did not seem to care that the miscommunication was fully on her end. but hey, I guess I got what I paid for at the cheapest motel in the city.
- 2/5
The first day I was there I had to kill wasps in the room. The second day was hundreds of ants. There are sirens going by all day and night. I would not stay there again.
- 2/5
First room had hundreds of tiny ants. We asked for another room and immediately got it. They were aware of the ant issue and keep treating it, but they move to other rooms. Second room sink was blocked and would only slowly drain. Only 2 towels provided for 3 nights stay. No room cleaning for 3 days due to “Eco” policy. Carpet felt gross on the feet.
- 5/5
Dorothea the manager was extremely delightful. The lodging is good but the area is not the best. All of our business was in that area. Bedding was clean!
- 5/5
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable!
- 2/5
Bathtub the jets did not work
- 5/5
The employees at this property are super nice
- 4/5
Comfortable bed. Great coffee. Great value. Trip into Seattle costs between $25 & 40 USD by taxi or uber.
- 5/5
It’s in a quiet area and there was a Jack in the box right there. Never been
- 1/5
There was ants and buds all lover in the bathroom room was a mess when we entered night stand in the middle of the room lights unplugged people trying to walk into our room and the front desk is very rude do t see how see is in costumer service
- 5/5
Very convenient to go to the downtown.
- 4/5
Great for staying in Seattle
- 1/5
Was not what we were expecting in terms of area which was very run down and had a lot of vagrants etc openly using substances. Obviously a Great price but we soaked the cost (No refund given) and stayed somewhere we felt safer. Is what it is, staff was fine.
- 3/5
The room was not very clean. Stains on the side of the mattress that looked like blood. I found when inspecting for bed bugs. Seems like minimal cleaning is done between guests.
- 2/5
Very noisy from the street and outside in general. WiFi is useless. Not coming back again for sure.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Check in was very prompt.
- 4/5
The staff people were incredibly friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were a breeze. The only thing is that there were some long black hairs on the bathroom floor. To be honest, I'm a guy, and I was traveling solo, so I didn't really care. I only wanted a place to sleep. But it's probably good to know. I also saw several "after hours business women" walking in front of the hotel in the evening. But there are many great, nice areas within walking distance.
- 3/5
I was there to visit my son so we needed the room was adequate. However, when I called for an iron to press my dress I was told they were all in use and I’d get on when it came available but it never came up. When I called for towels they promptly brought them to us. The door to our room was hard to close and on our last day the housekeeping staff left the door open, luckily my computer was still there when we returned.
- 1/5
Old lady who runs this place is crusty and crazy. Threatens to shoot people with her crossbow who disagree with her and runs Fox News propaganda in the lobby. Filthy place with stains everywhere and mold in the bathroom. Dirty liars who steal from innocent people. If you forget something in the room they won’t return it.
- 4/5
There is a bus stop just outside the property so easy to use public transportation
- 4/5
The lady at the reception was very helpful. Having a bus stop right in front of the hotel made it easier to go to the center. The size of the room and the bathroom were sufficient.
- 4/5
We have like public transportation near by info about that given at the front desk. We don't like the carpet in the room.
- 4/5
Room service daily would be great.
- 4/5
Loved the easy check in
- 4/5
Convenient
