Motel 6 Seattle, WA - Airport

The lighting is where the room shows its age. The rotary light switches are functional but feel dated, and one required tightening before it would work. The bulbs give off a cool, clinical tone - a warmer LED would go a long way. The mirror light above the sink uses a CFL that takes a while to reach full brightness and has a noticeable green cast as it warms up. The shower lights also flicker on, likely fluorescent as well. Overall a decent stay - clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Updating the lighting would make a noticeable difference.

I came in late, but staff were very brief and clean

It was convenient Very noisy! Airplanes, traffic and people stomping above my head. We also had bugs. A roach, a beetle and an ant. Also there were some sketchy people around.

We stayed almost 3 weeks. 2 nights before our completed stay my son was told bt management we needed to check out a day early. We were paid for 21 days. We only stayed 20. The front desk girl was rude, we had to call the police and then WE were trespassed. It was a very uncomfortable experience...people offering fentanyl n showing off guns in the parking lot. Will NEVER return even after our trespass is up..poor management 😕

Great basic accommodation with everything you need. A great location near Seatac airport (I just walk it in 20mins. Coming out of the airport just head for the light rail and then once you reach the road just walk up the sidewalk). Friendly staff and it feels safe. Well it isn't the Hilton. No champagne breakfast, but for the price it's fine. Just don't expect cashmir carpets.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient to the airport. The room smelled bad. The toilet didn't flush well. The shower curtain had been installed poorly and so didn't stay closed... The room needed serious maintenance and updating. It was a terrible experience and I would never go back there. In fact, I needed another night and found a Much nicer hotel a bit further out for only a tiny bit more.

We had booked four nights there, but wound up checking out after the first night. It wasn’t a terrible building in facilities, but the clientele was very noisy. Late at night we had somebody knocking on the door looking for somebody that was not checked in our room. We did not get any sleep because it was so noisy and busy all throughout the night. The staff was wonderful though when I told them something came up and we were checking out early. They refunded me for the three nights we didn’t stay.

The check in process took about 45 minutes. There was an automated check in person, no real person staffed. The machines were slow and there was a long line. I appreciate new technology, this just wasn’t smooth at all. Try again next time.

It was a terrible stay. The room was directly above the laundry/ ice room so people were in and out of that room all night. The floor would vibrate after every door slam. There was almost no sleep and staff was not helpful.

Due to third party booking the check in process was not very good. The ATM onsite has excessive fees($15). There was dog poop everywhere- on the the property and around the property- all along the sidewalks walking to the closest bus stops. Frequently car alarms were going off. I was on the second tier upper level and it felt u safe structurally as the balcony was bowed in certain places. Motel 6 must be on a serious budget because there are no comforters on the bed- basically just sheets. The shower curtain rod was about ready to fall off the wall and the bathroom fan didn’t work. And after all of that I opted to extend my stay for a night where they raised the rate. The WiFi was pretty on point though and the housekeeping was excellent. I would stay again, but only if it remains competitively priced.

During a State of Emergency the staff at 16500 Motel 6 were too inflexible to consider my Birth Certificate, Business license, many pieces of mail and the police report on my stolen license. Bah humbug.

The Room was clean except some staining on the floor of the shower. Would definitely stay here again. Close proximity to SeaTac and easy check in.

I and my husband we felt dissatisfied and disappointed on the reception… the reception employees girls and the old lady were very mean and I didn’t feel welcome and with mean face also. We don’t recommend this Motel 6 to stay. They also charge for the parking lot too. I have the photos but I can’t upload them

Unfavourable area, questionable people hanging around. Had to check in through a side, bullet proof window facing the street even before 6:00pm! Good luck hearing the dude through the glass! Dont be mislead by other reviews, they DO NOT offer a shuttle. It took me a good hour to figure this out seeing as I couldn’t get through on my cell or with the phones provided at the shuttle area. Had to have my husband call from back home. So plan to add another $20-$25 to your room cost for an uber. Each way.

The room overall was spacious and clean. AC/Heater unit worked like a charm. Smooth, easy and straightforward check in process. My biggest gripe was the cleanliness of the tub. Yellow staining and dirty. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Also the quality of the wifi reception leaves a lot to be desired. If they fix these things they'll get a 5 star review.

The staff at the front were very nice and helpful. The room is very basic, no microwave, fridge or coffee maker. There is however, coffee at the office from 6 to 9am. The sink has very poor drainage and should get looked at. The location to Seatac is very convenient. They have a room next to the office with a vending machine, washing machine and ice maker all of which and be accessed by your key card and pay with cash or card.

Taylor at the front desk was quite pleasant under what I considered difficult circumstances, but it's doubtful that she's received much customer service training. She did notice that I was booked in a smoking room, and moved me to a non-smoking and I didn't even have to ask. She was genuine and was clearly making an effort. THE BAD: Inside the room, the curtains and door frame let in plenty of light. Street noise was pretty bad. All four of the paper cups provided leaked. The ice machine (locked in the laundry/vending room at ground level) dispensed exactly two small ice cubes, then surrendered. THE UGLY: Without hyperbole: located in an absolutely terrifying neighbourhood. OVERALL: I'm grateful I only had to spend 6 hours here. And while it's close to the airport, I wish I'd noticed that there were better hotels for the same price closer to SeaTac.

The rooms and bed in this property were actually very comfortable. That said, there were definitely some sketchy, loud people right outside our rooms, including a few meth heads that watched us intensely going from our car and into our rooms. Definitely not a place I would feel safe to stay if I was alone but I felt okay as I was with a group. There’s a great coffee shop right next to the property with excellent coffee and food.

I got pleasantly surprised by our stay at Motel six when we checked in and the staff is so personable I spoke with each of them and I couldn’t believe that they were So helpful and welcoming. It was a pleasant surprise. He doesn’t have an office anymore so I did recognize it for what it was and that was Juli wanting to help. Thank you for hiring these two people.

Most things were fine. The heat/AC unit was hardwired for only AC with no digital readout and constantly on, so it was fine for the hot day. When it cooled down at night, I had to unplug it. I’ll take that over a lack of cleanliness and weird smells that I experienced in some other SeaTac hotels any day.

Wouldn't stay there again, very limited on what's in the room, basically, a few towels and 2 cheap bars of soap, that fell apart when I used it. No shampoo, hair dryer, really basic. And the real kicker for me was, they charge you for parking. Now I've traveled around the country quite a bit over the years and I can say that paying for parking was a first for me.

Check in would have been better if there was a handout of Restuarant’s within walking distance of the property rather than relying on the clerk’s inaccurate info. Also directions to the room were not clear and it took a lot of effort carrying luggage to get there.

I booked it out of convenience to be near the airport, but I didn’t feel as safe in that neighborhood. And you have to pay five dollars to park your car which is odd since I had not been charged before but maybe it’s a new policy.

Check-in and check-out were easy and the hotel receptionist was pleasant, efficient, and friendly. The only drawback was an incident with the police and an individual, who kept cursing at the policemen from the sidewalk.

The stay was nice. AC worked so good. Especially facing the sun and that weekend it was hot! The sheets aren't the most comfortable I’ve used. They seemed a lil scratchy. I liked how close it was to the airport and train though. Overall had a good stay.

People were up at all hours of the night and day in the parking lot, kind of just... loitering around the cars, so I'm not sure what I was paying for to park here, since there's clearly no security. the room itself was clean and recently refreshed, so once inside, no problems there.

My go to when I am traveling for work. Worth the money I spend

The hotel was fine for our needs. We found Seattle to be VERY expensive, so we were going for the cheapest hotel we could find. This was a typical Motel 6 experience. Nothing fancy, no frills. It was basically a place to shower and sleep for one night, which was all we needed. It met our needs in that respect.

Only a phone in the room, no, hairdryer, no microwave, no refrigerator, no alarm clock and no iron or ironing board.

Its ok for a late layover. Nothing reallly close by except coffee. No amenties at all in the room. Bed was old and uncomfortable. This stay was about convenience to airport and costs and thats about what we got. Staff was friendly!

Several stairs were blocked off. Both nights it sounded like a party in the room next door. Best part of the experience was the sweat young lady who checked us in.

It is by a busy road so it is quite noisy. When I asked at the front about being safe place was told it was- wasn’t so sure Room was ok, bed was also ok. Walls aren’t super thick so could hear a lot of people talking. Once I heard the cops consistent for a solid 3 hours in the area I had creeped the news and saw that this hotel hadn’t had the best record for things. - now I look at news that’s happened at hotels before choosing where to stay.

Not sure if it's a thing, but paying for parking even though it was only $5 a day was unexpected. The stay would have been so much better if the room had a microwave and fridge. The TV was older and did not support HDMI, so I could not connect my laptop to it for movies, etc. Other than that, the stay was fine.

The walls are very thin to the outside, so I was awoken a few times at night when people were getting a bit rowdy. I would recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The area felt safe and is in a convenient location for a night or two of rest. There is a very good coffee shop next door and a gas station down the street. Staff was very nice and accommodating even when they were busy during check in time.

We booked room for the night since our flight landed at 1:30 AM. At around 2:30 AM when I was inline at rental car location I got a call from the front desk checking if we were still going to need the room. The young lady was very nice and said normally they hold till 3AM and then call it a no show but she said she would not do that. I was still in line about 3:30 she called again and I let her know we were just about to get called up to the counter. She said she knew we would be tired so she would have the key ready to go for us. When we got there she was super sweet. The room was clean beds were surprisingly comfy. It is a motel 6 so don’t expect Hyatt quality but worth the price especially if only for a few hours.
