Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about hidden fees, small bathrooms, and lack of coffee in the rooms. The location is praised for being close to major attractions.

Nice hotel in a good location. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Great location and very helpful staff!

The property is well worn but adequate. The room was nicely spacious and clean. The gym was tiny and less than adequate.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful day, but the parking was a shock $70 for one night wow
- 4/5
The drinks in your room are NOT free they will charge you the most expensive water bottle. But other than that the front desk people are very warm and welcoming.

All the staff were friendly, hotel needs renovating, the bar is tiny and the bartender is rude as heck.
- 5/5
pleasant stay. very comfortable super cozy great city view would stay here again
- 2/5
They add 30 dollars fee per day for amenities, it’s a outdated hotel and still trying too understand what amenities they had
- 4.5/5
The bed was very comfortable. Super front desk and cleaning staff. Happy hour drinks and guitarist. Clean. Location. The menu in the restaurant. Lack of interest by the staff. Very slow service. Breakfast was substantial.
- 4/5
The staff at this hotel are very kind and thoughtful. The room I was in was very basic, but just fine. Great location. Valet service held my bag for me, which I appreciated, as I had a 4 hours between check out and my next plan.

- 4/5
Staff was super informative. Felt safe at this location. Store and deli near by. Wine happy hour was nice touch. Breakfast a Tulio's was decent. Bring the $$ for drinks.
- 4/5
A lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Staff all very friendly and wine hour was a lovely feature in front of a lovely fire in the lounge. My only gripe was no grab and go facility in the mornings. Also would be nice to have coffee and tea facility in the room. Upon arrival no free bottle of water in the room. Noise from traffic was loud, I do think extra glazing is required or maybe ear defenders are needed to get a good sleep. These are my only gripe. Otherwise the hotel was very nice and clean. My trip was excellent
- 5/5
Adorable chic and spotless room, friendly, accommodating, and efficient staff. They even had a super cute board to write my Chihuahuas name on! The valet was amazing helping us to our room with all my luggage. Everything was superb.
- 5/5
Awesome stay!!
- 5/5
Good clean hotel in perfect spot. Friendly staff
- 2.5/5
I did not like anything particularly. A room with a view to the 'inside', whih is the parking lot of the building... Mold in the shower head, peeling wallpaper, water damage on the roof...
- 3/5
2. Shower curtain stained badly. 3. One elevator down and was guided by a housekeeper down the service elevator, Which had a large open top trash bin in it and then was taken out an alley exit… 4. When communicated to front desk my concerns, they don’t seem to have a care. 5. Not worth the money charged..

Location and the easy parking. It needs a face lift. The technology and rooms are dated. Bathroom mirror lights not working and the shower pressure was weak.

The room was amazing! The location couldn't be beat. The front desk staff was always helpful and polite. The only quam I had was that I was charged a $500 Incidental deposit which was not advised anywhere on the site before I booked it. It does state they may charge a deposit which is normal but was not mentioned on the exact amount. 7 days after checkout I am still waiting for the return of my deposit. Outside of the deposit, I would HIGHLY recommend this proptery to everyone.

The building is a bit older, but in great condition. The staff was very helpful. The restaurant and bar were excellent and very convenient.
- 2/5
Terrible for noise. Did not sleep either night. Traffic control to enter to come and go was ridiculous. In room dining was very limited and overpriced. They closed early when we tried to order dinner. Valets were awesome, front desk friendliness was okay. We wouldn’t go again.
- 3/5
It’s was fine. Expensive parking.
- 2.5/5

Excellent location, with a nice staff.

Excellent location, with a nice staff.
- 4/5
Great location. Large room. Noisy neighbors.
- 4/5
Super friendly staff, nice rooms, they’re small, but we expect that at a vintage/boutique hotel like this. Dog friendly! Decent location, but not a lot around there. The bar/restaurant was only open from 5-9 on a Saturday night, and there isn’t really anywhere that close. If you like to end your night with a nice cocktail at the bar, you’re out of luck.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay. Bed was very comfortable and our room was perfect. Staff was very helpful!
- 5/5
100%

This is the true definition of lipstick (or Kimpton lipstick) on a pig. Take an old hotel and call it vintage.
- 5/5
Great location, great staff!
- 5/5
Great staff and they want to please their clients. Location is great! Pike Place Market, eateries, freeway minutes away from I-5 freeway and easy drive to airport.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Great location, short walk to cafes and restaurants and public transportation. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Hotel is very clean and well maintained and everything was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Excellent location for exploring the downtown area.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms, wonderful location to tour the city. The early evening wine and music in the lobby was fun. Also, Tulios Italian restaurant, very good .
- 5/5
Friendly, smart staff. The restaurant Tulios is way over priced and food is not spectacular. It’s not bad just not worth the price.
- 5/5
Shops near by just consider it will be uphill coming back from pike market. but no terrible
- 5/5
I love this place and will always stay here.
- 5/5
Staff and amenities
- 5/5
The ROOM WAS CLEAN. The STAFF WAS NICE. They OFFER A WINE HOUR AND THE RESTAURANT IS GOOD
- 5/5
From the staff to the room, to the atmosphere. I love it! I have stayed here 3 times. Easy to park and walk around the city. Everything is so close! The only thing I have to do every time is take the little door off that hides the fridge, it gets so hot in that space nothing cools down until the door comes off. It’s easy to pop off and back on.
- 3/5
It was good location
- 5/5
Sam was very helpful as was Tyne and some of the other folks. Wine evening was a nice touch.
- 1/5
I didn't have hot water for two days. I had a bug in my coffee cup at the lobby coffee bar. At check=I was early and was told "good news your room is ready" but "to avoid the early $75 check-in fee I would have to become a rewards member." No thanks. So I said I would wait and then 20 minutes later they said I could go up to my room (no fee). It all felt like a strange very unwelcoming strong-arm into becoming a member....
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great staff
- 5/5
Amazing and well located hotel in downtown Seattle!
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and nice
- 2/5
Staff was fine, polite and apologetic about too many issues to merit this hote withl a positive review. Rooms phones unable to make any outgoing calls; other guests leaving their dogs alone for many hours, thus afraid and constantly barking. While I felt so sorry for the poor dogs, this hotel failed to provide peace and quiet to it's guests. Rooms furnished with worn, rather shabby stuff.
- 4/5
100%. All I ask for is a few more towels
- 5/5
The room was very clean and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean hotel.
- 5/5
Rooms were spacious clean and well designed
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was very courtious and attentive.
- 4/5
Staff was great
- 4/5
Was a nice hotel - unfortunately paid for a king room to be given a queen.
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing. Cute, cozy and the staff was amazing!
- 4/5
Great spot but a bit dated
- 2/5
Bathrooms are tiny and tight, amenities not great. Our room had a flimsey door adjoining another
- 5/5
Ashley at the Front Desk and Mike J at the valet parking were both extremely kind and helpful. Excellent service and a lovely hotel. The glass of wine in the lobby upon arrival was also very nice. A very good hotel experience.
- 5/5
This staff was very inviting and friendly, very professional and accommodating.
- 4/5
Hotel was good
- 4/5
Nice place, could be better
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, welcoming lobby, cheerful fireplace, nice room, comfortable bed
- 2/5
Just wasn’t as nice as expected, for what I paid I could have stayed somewhere even nicer that didn’t charge me $85 a night to park
- 3/5
Room was good enough but it's an older hotel. Hotel markets itself it's a very pet friendly hotel but there wasn't any special attention to this - no treats, dog bowl or anything. The restaurant attached to the hotel for breakfast doesn't allow dogs eithereither. so
- 5/5
Clean and great staff were excellent.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing, particularly the doorman! He was just the kindest, friendliest person. Rooms were really large and clean. Pretty view. They had included happy hour, parking, and a $20.00 food credit. We were here for a fun weekend and they were excellent. We would definitely stay here again. .
- 5/5
Nice staff! Clean rooms with great view
- 5/5
Best Dog Friendly hotel that i have stayed at ;)
- 5/5
Upon check-in Mannie upgraded us to a beautiful corner room. We brought our 2 dogs with us and they were very sweet to our dogs even providing us poop bags. And on top of it all they served wine during happy hour. The neighborhood is full of fun restaurants and bars. We loved our experience here!
- 5/5
The rooms !
- 5/5
Great price, great location, great room!
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet hotel and courteous staff.
- 5/5
Amazing. Everything was amazing. The staff was incredible. Will definitely be back.
- 1/5
They held a six hundred twenty nine dollar security deposit upon check in for 4 nights. They told us it would be refunded to us in four or five days if there are no damage in the room. This seemed extremely exorbitant to me and tied up my resources and left me in a difficult spot..
- 5/5
Nice room. Nice staff and location. Will stay again
- 5/5
Hotel was very nice! Good location and staff was very helpful!
- 4/5
We got there early and knew there may not be a room available yet, but we were willing to leave our luggage and go look around. The girl at the front desk ended up upgrading us so a room was available right away, which we appreciated so much. The room was comfortable and beautiful. The only downside was we had no hot water the last night we were there for a couple of hours. Maintenance did get it working eventually. And we had breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel and it was not the greatest food. Way better breakfast at the other Kimpton just down the block. All in all we had a good stay.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay and great experience

Clean, central location, nice staff, good rooms.
- 5/5
great staff
- 5/5
Lovely hotel with big beautiful rooms, stellar location, and very friendly night staff ( coffee in the lobby at 5:00am was a bonus!) Highly recommend.
- 5/5
save you money!
- 2/5
Room was dated, bed was very uncomfortable and felt old. Bathroom was small and musty. Needs an overall update.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds and quiet room. Happy hour. Ability to get a bike to bike around town. The restaurant downstairs is top.
- 4/5
Five stars if there was a coffee maker in the room!
- 4/5
Parking is very expensive and the hotel charges you a fee for amenities
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Very clean, and close to downtown
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice, well marine’s, updated modern, staff was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, great service.
- 5/5
Great front desk staff! Nice property with good service and great location.
- 5/5
Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great time and staff was Helpful
- 4/5
Everything we wanted was in walking distance. Pike, Noi restaurant, etc.
- 5/5
Not what I expected for the price. It was alright. I have had many more great hotels for the same price. Only caveat was they take dogs!
- 5/5
We liked the staff and the location. Very clean and welcoming.
- 5/5
This place is very cozy and beautiful. Staff are super helpful and accommodating. Location is great; its walkable to everywhere in downtown and major attractions. They also offer valet parking which was quite helpful for us. We highly recommend this hotel.
- 2/5
Staff were rude and unfriendly. $30 surcharge and gave $20 credit back to the hotel was given to people they chose to give it to.
- 3/5
It’s an ok hotel. Boutique style lobby. Room was ok, beds were not comfortable at all. For $300/night, I expect more.
- 5/5
What a great unexpected find! I would definitely stay here again. They have a social hour, restaurant onsite and valet parking. Close to the freeway and walkable to downtown, Pikes Place, and the stadium.
- 5/5
Overall good stay
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at Kempton Hotel Vintage the staff was very friendly, and room was clean service was excellent. It was easy to navigate around Seattle. We had a great experience and probably be back. Thanks again
- 4/5
In-Hotel restaurant had yummy breakfast options. King size bed and pillows were comfy. Very friendly staff. Good insulation to in the rooms (we had a room right next to the elevator and never heard it opening). Only cons were the shower pressure could be a little better, and the tissues weren’t great. So not really many cons at all. Very nice place.
- 5/5
The Happy Hour is wonderful for meeting new people, like the morning coffee service BUT would have preferred our own ability to make a cup of bedtime tea.
- 5/5
Vintage and location. Staff was very attentive
- 4/5
Hotel overall was nice. Andy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was a rather loud clicking noise from the closet vent that last about 30 seconds every time the air kicked on…very noticeable at night when trying to sleep.
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay for our 45th anniversary and Tulios for dinner was real treat. Love the hotel, was disappointed that I asked for a corner room king suite and was given street view.
- 5/5
Awesome valet service
- 2/5
Booked and paid for a room type and got something less with no offer of compensation.
- 5/5
This is a nice hotel
- 3/5
No service, no perks, nothing innovative or unique. Too bad.
- 3/5
I used to stay at the Vintage a lot when I was traveling for business. The hotel seems to be a bit run down and the restaurant wouldn't be on my list for the bar or a meal any longer. The staff was still great.
- 3/5
So so. A little tired and needs an update. Only one elevator worked.
- 1/5
There were $100 unexpected fees when we ARRIVE this is high!! The room was sweltering houTLLR& Az
- 4/5
Didn't care for the waiter in the restaurant. Very arrogant. Food wasn't that exceptional either.
- 3/5
The restaurant Tulio was awesome loved the theme
- 5/5
The property was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and the staff was incredible. Very friendly and very helpful!
- 5/5
The room was amazing, the dinner at the restaurant impressive, and the staff was knowledgeable. We will definitely return if passing through Seattle!!
- 5/5
We loved the wine tasting and the location to things to do
- 2/5
I booked the Kimpton Vintage hoping it would be a nice experience for my dad and I. Unfortunately, the room was a bit small, the bathroom was very small (had to step beside the toilet to close the door and use the bathroom), the elevator was so loud we could hear it running all night like a heavy porter luggage truly on stone, and I kept hitting my shin on the corner of the sharp angled beds. Worst is all, we were changed a $30 first amenities fee AFTER we booked and paid in full through Expedia. The hotel and room were beautiful, but the experience was not great.
- 5/5
Thanks for your service
- 4/5
Kimpton convenient location.however the rooms and bathroom need a facelift.
- 3/5
The happy hour food was gone by 5:15. The lobby is the size of a postage stamp so nowhere to enjoy. Bed very hard. Very expensive for tiny room. Front doors very hard to open and not accessible if you have luggage.
- 4/5
Comfortable, well situated hotel with pleasant staff.
- 3/5
This is a very small property. The lobby is tiny. Our room had two beds and a pull out so our room was a fair size for our family of 5. The property is a little dated. I guess I was expecting a little more for the money, especially since the amenity fee doesn't even include any amenities. The location was great though. Close to Pike Place Market.
- 5/5
Very nice. Excellent restaurant. Our room shared a wall with the elevators so that was pretty loud. Otherwise it was great!
- 5/5
Excellent service, staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you!
- 5/5
Staff were excellent. Room was clean and service was better than expected.
- 5/5
Really good location for an event at the baseball stadium. Friendly staff. Nice room. Sofa bed was surprisingly comfy. The furnishings might be a little too “vintage” but nice overall. Walking distance to the market.
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
The check-in and check-out processes were very easy. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Tulio (the restaurant) was also delicious and the staff there were amazing.
- 3/5
Disappointed in this vintage hotel. Didn't compare to Mayflower Park, where we have stayed before. Small rooms, small lobby, small so-called bar area. Friendliness of staff was luke warm. Not impressed.
- 5/5
Our first stay and it was great! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and had an easy check in and out. They offered a $20 guest amentity to use at the restaurant or front desk. A great perk we were not expecting. I’m currently 6 months pregnant and the walk was manageable to and from Lumen Field. Our favorite pizza place, Italian family pizza is a 7 min walk away. I plan on staying at Kimpton for future dates.
- 5/5
Not a deal breaker, but the walls between rooms are a bit on the thin side.
- 3/5
Valet parking was VERY expensive!
- 3/5
Comfort stay. Clean hotel, However value for money is not right. Prices are too high. Breakfast is not one of the best I've seen....
- 1/5
I booked the Kimpton Vintage because I was hoping for a charming retro stay. It was a disaster. The hotel is old, terrible smell in the rooms and hallways, chemical smell in the room, ridiculous room design, poor television, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, no foyer and a very difficult parking garage to gain access to. I cannot believe that this hotel is part of the Kimptom/IHG family. It is simply NOT POSSIBLE!
- 5/5
It’s a nice hotel in downtown.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was clean and in a safe area.
- 5/5
Well priced hotel with character in a great location. The staff was wonderful, cheerful, and super nice. The evening wine was a nice touch.
- 2/5
I got this room mas a deal on Expedia at the same day, but reservation didn't say that it's going to be ADA room, and from past experiences I know that those rooms are usually not nice (worn out, smells weirdly etc). I wish I knew and paid a bit more to stay in a better place. Don't feel like you can trust last minute deals unless you've been to the property before.
- 2/5
The management decided to charge amenity fee for each day without letting you know what it is even for. When I was checking out, the front office said I am checked out and will get an email with my receipt, which should have been 0 as I have not used anything or received any additional service from the hotel. I still asked my print out and then all of a sudden, the front office said they charged $60 for me and I asked why and he didn’t have an explanation for this charge and he said he would take it out immediately. It looks like this is a trick they are doing to a lot of people and getting paid additional without any product or service. Beware!! Never walk away without a receipt and explanation of what is being charged! I would Not be coming back to this hotel that steals from people.
- 5/5
Stayed during the Holy Week with my wife and daughter. Everthing is working although there's limited space for your stuff. Breakfast were nice, sit in with 1 entree and 1 drink included. Brunch every weekend and that is nice too. Gladdys served our table several times, she is very helpful, her energy really starts your day. There's wine and cake in the afternoons and coffee the rest of the day in the lobby. The hotel is at an incline but a few blocks away from the waterfront, shopping areas and Symphony station of the 1 Line from the airport. The hotel really gives you that vintage feel somewhat subdued atmosphere which I prefer
- 4/5
It was so short just a one night stay so I can't say too much. The alarm clock woke me up at 6am (probably was left on from the guest the night before). Bathroom was kind of dated looking. The wine experience in the lobby was nice - it seemed like the guests were having a nice time there chatting. The location was good, easy to get around. The extra add on fees were a bit ridiculous. I could have stayed at a better hotel for the same price after all the extra charges so I am pretty disappointed about that.
- 3/5
Just a heads up. They mandatorily charge you $30 USD a day for wifi, water, and a wine service we couldn’t use because we were under 21.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
I have stayed here many times over the past 15 years. It is one of the best small hotels: friendly, quirky, creative and very much like an old European hotel. The evening wine gathering is a very nice touch.
- 5/5
Great staff regardless of their roll in attending to guests.
- 5/5
The property is older, but clean and nice. Somewhat noisy from the outside during daylight hours, but that wasn't a big deal. The staff was helpful.
- 1/5
Ruth that works the front desk was amazing during check in time, Tulio was an amazing restaurant and had an incredible staff, especially the woman bartender ( I forgot her name) she went above and beyond to accommodate the drinks we wanted. My compliants come from the elevator being unsafe during usage and opening up before fully coming to a stop on our floor we stayed on. The room was great, but the parking rate is too much, I suggest parking across the street its cheaper, you just won't be able to come and go like you would be using valet, but everything is in walking distance of the hotel location. My biggest complaint is about the other woman don't know her name that worked the front desk Sunday during checkout, not friendly, not helpful, rude and wasn't smiling, attitude was very dry lacked in customer service, Ruth in the evening was amazing once again, I won't be returning here to stay again the rate being too high in my opinion & the end resulting in having a bad taste during our departure of the hotel.
- 5/5
In 40 years business traveled I cannot think of a hotel that had better customer service and created a more relaxing and inviting environment. The tiny lobby became a gathering place to share a glass of wine to the sounds of a well played guitar. The adjacent restaurant, Tulio, had delivered extraordinary service and delicious Italian dining.
- 4/5
Walkable to wharf, Restaurants the Great wheel and the Aquarium
- 4/5
Convenient, well priced, great location
- 5/5
Excellent customer service
- 5/5
Free wine from 5 to 6 was a huge plus for us
- 4/5
Staff are excellent and worked with us on fees not mentioned on the agreement through expedia. Kinda sucks getting blindsided like thatcbut the staff was amazing
- 5/5
Is really enjoyable the time at the place
- 5/5
We loved how easy it was to get to the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle. The convenient location was a bonus. The unique style and comfort of this hotel sets it apart. It was unbelievably quiet. The bed was so comfortable we both got an excellent night’s sleep. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here every time we’re in Seattle.
- 5/5
Excellent stay! Enjoyed wine by the fire listening to soft music played by Chris. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
I requested from the lobby night shift manager that my car be retrieved from the elevator garage and ready for me at 5am. When I arrived in the lobby at 5am, the front desk manager had not even notified the valet to get my car. I had to wait for someone to be called. Not good service. Nothing happening at 5am in the lobby so…..
- 5/5
We stayed because I was going to have surgery at nearby medical facility. We love this hotel. It is our go to place since we live in Kingston and this is a great location and a welcoming hotel. Great staff, good rooms.
- 5/5
The Kimpton Vintage is a great place to stay in Seattle. It's convenient, clean, safe and the staff are very nice.
- 4/5
They didn’t have a microwave
- 5/5
Location is very convenient to must see areas
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Loved the social hour. The music was fantastic.
- 3/5
The decor
- 5/5
I love that they were checking us making sure that we didn’t need anything by a text
- 4/5
The first time was great The last time I stayed the reception clerk that worked the night shift was very unwelcoming she gave the feeling like she is doing me and my partner a favor that she is even talking with us when we went to ask if we can buy wine to the room Beside that everything was great Just seems she don’t like her job too much And we bothered her with our request
- 5/5
Really beautiful property and very friendly staff.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the fireplace at the Hotel. The staff was very accomodating to meeting my needs. There was no washer/dryer. I enjoyed my stay very much. Thank you so much! I will be back.
- 5/5
Location is great, downtown seattle
- 5/5
All the staff was great and accommodating. We really enjoyed the happy hours and the opportunity to connect with other guests too.
- 5/5
Staycation for us in Seattle and it was great! We got upgraded to a corner king room and it was lovely and spacious and clean! Loved the vintage classic decor!
- 4/5
Nice convenient location in the center of the city.
- 4/5
Lot of jet noise
- 5/5
Place was very easy to find, easy to park and even though the casino was almost empty my mom still won a lot of money on her birthday.
- 5/5
Great stay, no complaints.
- 4/5
My wife and I are returning to this hotel later in October for our 20th Anniversary. The minor “hiccup” here doesn’t change our plans.
- 5/5
Great staff and awesome hotel! Would definitely revisit.
- 5/5
Wonderful weekend at the Kimpton Vintage. Nice room with comfortable bed and great staff in reception, valet and restaurant. Recommended and we will be returning.

Nice property, rooms were ok. Beds were comfy, but water pressure was not good. Also, valet was understaffed.

We booked a king room, but was given a room with 2 queens. Not ideal for my husband and I but it worked out fine. The room was a good size. Bedding was crisp and nice but the blanket did t have enough weight on it so I was pretty cold since we like to keep the room at 67 degrees. There is no I room coffee station but the lobby had a nice coffee station-which I prefer anyways. It was a 10 min walk to dining and shopping-great location!

Room had a wet spot with an unknown liquid near the bed when we first entered. Room also had a broken mini refrigerator and shower only had scolding hot water. Staff was super helpful in moving us to a new room though

Good price, in a decent clean part of town in Seattle. Valet parking customer service is 5 stars!! Very friendly customer service would definitely recommend.
