Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with some guests praising the friendly service, comfortable beds, and cleanliness, while others express disgust at the dirty rooms, stained linens, and poor hygiene. The location is also a point of contention, with some guests appreciating the convenience to public transportation, while others find the area seedy and unsafe.
- Friendly service
- Comfortable beds
- Dirty rooms
- Unsafe location
- 2/5
Wish I had picked the hotel across the street this hotel had issues
- 3/5
The bed was pretty uncomfortable, one of the hardest mattresses I've had at a hotel. Everything else seemed fine, the room was clean. There really aren't any amenities, but as a barebones motor inn it works fine as long as you can manage a very hard mattress.
- 4/5
I love the price. Always consistent. The staff is friendly.
- 4/5
Good overall
- 2/5
Location is good but the room condition needs to be renovated.. bathroom is ok but d carpet needs to be changed !
- 2/5
Got approached by hookers outside the place. Bathroom had pee on the floor. Place was dirty in general.
- 3/5
It fits the purpose in an emergency
- 2/5
It’s not that great
- 4/5
Warm water and pretty nice room overall
- 1/5
Unprofessional unhelpful
- 3/5
This is definitely a one night spot for me. Access to public transportation was great and convenient food choices near by. But there’s a lot of homeless, druggies and SW in the area. The staff wasn’t unfriendly but definitely didn’t give super welcoming. The bathroom was gross so we didn’t use the shower. Bed was hard as a rock. Overall I would come back for one night in needed but wouldn’t feel comfortable to stay longer than that.
- 1/5
no good
- 1/5
The whole road there with all prostitutes stressed in dental floss there was cockroaches in the in the rooms garbage all underneath the beds they were not vacuumed they didn't look like they were clean the only thing that was clean there was a towel and I'm not even sure about that would not recommend this place for anybody that anybody. And especially not families with kids across the street is hooker Central don't recommend this place for anybody
- 2/5
The walls, the carpets, the ceiling, the sheets, and even the lamps were all stained. I had to sleep in my clothes on top of the bedding. There are also no fewer than 5 prostitutes right outside the door at any given time. This place might as well give up and only do hourly rates, its only suited to banging someone and leaving. If you book this place as somewhere to stay the night, you will be very disappointed.
- 1/5
room smelt terrible, bad area to be around.
- 1/5
Disturbance. Front office not available all the time. Unsafe.
- 1/5
Massive blood stains underneath the sheets that were not cleaned just covered , infested with bedbugs and was given a hard time in asking for a refund- this is a place I would not even keep a wild animal and they said to me we may not be able to refund me. This place needs to be condemned
- 2/5
The first thing I notice about the proptery was that the lobby smelled. I don't know what the oder was coming from but it was bad. Checkmin was not fun at all. The front desk clerk knew very little english and was very hard to communicate with. The rooms was okay, no coffee pot and the walls has stains from water or a drink. No housekeeping at all because of Covid. That alone is crazy!! I will stay somewhere else next time.
- 5/5
Nice and quaint . Ours had a little kitchenette excellent property little Indian restaurant on the same lot .
- 5/5
Check in is until 11:30pm, i had a late flight that was delayed i ended up arriving at airport way later. I was worried that i would miss my check in, i called right when able 11:20pm. I was amazed at the willingness of the elderly couple who waited for me intil 12:30am. Wow, the staff went beyond and above. Its clean.
- 1/5
The room was very dirty. We found a cigartte pack; a lot of hairs, sheets had spots on them and a lot of crumbs. Seemed like it wasn’t cleaned at all.
- 4/5
Good for the price. Interesting neighborhood
- 2/5
Na
- 2/5
The room they gave wasn’t clean at all. I didn’t feel safe around the area after 7pm.
- 2/5
The place is pretty beat up. The room was clean, the towels were clean, but the bed sheets had stains. Staff did not speak english. Lots of homeless around the area. Would not stay there again.
- 5/5
There was an Indian-Nepali restaurant in the same parking lot that had delicious food!
- 1/5
I found THREE live bedbugs after sitting on the bed for an hour. I checked out immediately.
- 2/5
Super sketch and dirty! Owners seemed lovely and doing their best.
- 5/5
The staff at this property went out of their was to be helpful. The room was larger and better equipped than I expected
- 2/5
The entire building needs a serious deep clean and paint, both inside and out. Routine cleaning is obviously not done. Very sweet elderly Asian couple managers. Needs a robust hand to take the operation over!
- 4/5
Not Like - Needs updating, everything very old, ice machine not work in years, wifi very slow.
- 1/5
Understandable if you need a last minute place when EVERYTHING else is booked. Location is prostitute infested. Room is gross and outdated pillows were stained and discolored. I refused to take a shower there.
- 5/5
Room is comfortable, tv very small..but for one night..its not bad
- 1/5
I should have gone with my gut and left as soon as I saw how gross this place was but I didn’t. Now I’m covered in bed bug bites, my arms and legs are just covered and there is absolutely 0 doubt that they came from my stay at this roach motel.
- 4/5
Dirty sink in the room. Everything else was pretty good
- 1/5
We booked a reservation and hadn't checked in yet and wheen it came to check in they had filled all the rooms up and disregarded our reservation
- 4/5
We stayed for the weekend. The room was big, clean, and quiet.
- 4/5
The hotel itself is pretty outdated, with threadbare carpet and an actual KEY to lock the door. However, the room has a nicely updated bathroom and fridge/microwave/TV with cable. There is plenty of visible wear inside and out, but it’s just fine for a no-frills solo traveller. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy.
- 4/5
A Thai restaurant steps away and the best thing for me is a very good express bus line runs quite often goes downtown near Public Market Center and connections to other sites.
- 5/5
I liked it
- 3/5
Prostutes, drugies were on the street everywhere. The drugies were screaming and yelling all night. Sirens sounded all night too. The miniblinds couldn't cover the hallway window completely.
- 3/5
This isn't a place for everyone, certainly not kids or wife, but you can have a blast with a friend! If you're looking for adventure this place and the neighborhood is for you. Make sure to visit Lava Hookah Lounge for authentic experience.
- 4/5
The staff was very good but the property was a little bit dirty
- 3/5
Sweet older couple checked us in. For the price, it was ok, but cigarette burn holes in the 80's era bedspread and overall seediness of the area were a little unpleasant.
- 3/5
Like everyone said you get what you paid for, not worse stay but not the best. I wouldn't recommend families who want super comfort. The area was fine, you're in downtown area Seattle, of course there are homeless people but they won't harm you or anything. The room was a nice size. The TV only went to one channel but I didn't care. Make sure you check in before they close and if you are coming later than call them so they're there. No frills and the staff are there on business only.
- 5/5
Near at Pike Market & closed to freeway
- 4/5
Decent stay
- 4/5
We have stayed at the Crown Inn twice when going to a Mariners baseball game. The location is great, rate is very reasonable, unit is clean and the owners in the office are lovely. Will stay here again and again
- 5/5
We found the room surprisingly spacious. Beds were comfortable.
- 2/5
They need to provide bedding that is not stained and with cigarette burns. People were nice. Shower/ bathroom new-yay.
- 4/5
It was adequate for a one night stay
- 4/5
Room was clean, bed spreads a little worn. Exterior could use pressure washing on stairs and walkways. No problem people at this motel what so ever. Quiet. Ice would be nice. Easy commute to downtown.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 3/5
This is a convenient location and a relatively inexpensive place to stay overnight in Seattle. There is a great Thai restaurant across the parking lot. On the negative side the room reeks of cigarette smoke, the building is run down and the area is crawling with prostitutes lining the roadway.
- 2/5
The shower was inviting, after a web of hair was taken off the shower wall.
- 2/5
No ice or vending, Sink is kinda dirty looking, the tabletop was not clean, floor dirty, chair arm was broken, the tv had alot of stains, lights were burnt out or broken, microwave was dirty, dusty surfaces, Owners are too old to be doing the housekeeping which makes me really unsure of the room cleanliness aside from the issues i mentioned. Price should be much less to justify these issues or else its definitely a pass for me and i am not terribly picky. Be skeptical of good reviews of this site on any website.
- 2/5
Hair in the toilet seat, dirt behind the bathroom door, filthy stained mattresses
- 2/5
Poor
- 5/5
Great staff, clean bathroom & easy access to public transportation.
- 1/5
won't go back again
- 5/5
I found the Inn keepers to be rather understanding of my situation... sometimes silly and also having a caring understanding in regards to me and my spiritual outbursts... I had the pleasure of staying there this recent Passover Holiday... I happened to mention what the festivities were about and though they were honest enough to say they dont Pray they way I do... they were most accepting and accomodating of my rituals... I definitely dont expect anyone to Pray the way I do... Thank You
- 4/5
Loved the staff, and the central location and time convenience to everything we wanted to go to. The area at night is very sketch. Not the property, but Aurora street to be more specific.
- 4/5
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, not in the best neighborhood but worth the cost.
- 4/5
Good value, nice staff.
- 5/5
Small friendly staff, I stay here often.

I can say I enjoyed my stay. There was improvement overall during this stay compared to my previous stay. The AC was working and the towels were better this time.
- 1/5
The bedsheets had a blood stain and had hair on them as if not washed and needed to be replaced. The staff were sleeping at 1045 pm and same in tbe morning at 8 am we had nobody to leave room keys with. The area was not a good area. I would not stay there again. I like to get patial refund.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the price was right.
- 1/5
We flew from Dallas Texas to Seattle Washington, we reserved and our money for one night stay at Crown motel, once there around 1am in the morning the office reception was closed nobody answered we nocked several times no answer the office was dark lights turned off, we spent over 30 minutes but to no avail. Then a man fron the next room came out said the old is sleeping he will not open for, which old man I said the receptions ia old man and he is just sleeping he said. We left to look for othe places to look for a room but all no vacancies we had to sleep in our car.Don"t ever reserve in Crown motel.
- 4/5
There was a mini kitchen and great deal for the price
- 1/5
Horrible place. Expedia should not have this place as an option. The blankets had cigarette burns on them. The carpet was extremely dirty. The area where the hotel is at is totally unsafe. I had to cancel my stay because it was so horrible.
- 5/5
Courteous staff Only complaint is many (about a dozen out of about 130) of the TV channels do not work: either black (signal interrupted ) screen or tons of pixelation
- 5/5
This was my second stop here in 2 weeks. If your looking for clean affordable accommodations while traveling, here you go in Seattle. Friendly staff, rif raf not allowed, serious about cleanliness. Near anything you need. Recommend having your own transportation in Seattle. A welcome surprise for the money. First time for Thai food there too. Popular with locals.
- 3/5
Umm it smelled weird when I walked in
- 5/5
Friendly folks. Clean, Coffee available.
- 5/5
The room was clean and really much nicer than I expected. The area is a bit iffy, I wouldn't recommend going out at night alone.
- 2/5
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from downtown. It doesn’t look too bad from outside. The area has a lot of prostitution. Our room was terrible. There was trash on the floor and underneath the beds. It’s clear they have not vacuumed for weeks. The bedding had cigarettes burns. It was awful. I would never stay here again.
- 3/5
This property need more worker to attended customers and keep the property clean.
- 1/5
Under the bed, cig buts, trash, plastic garbage, smelly from food remains. The beds were not comfortable.
- 1/5
Transit to downtown and back is so easy though. But the area and the room itself has be one star or lower.
- 1/5
It was a bunch of trash underneath the bed like the room was never clean
- 5/5
Was cool but not allowed guests which was not so cool
- 4/5
Nice location
- 2/5
the family running the place was very nice and helpful. took 20 minutes to get them to answer the bell to get help. Even though I was in a non-smoking room, it still smelled like smoke. There was not an ice machine. The carpet really needs to be redone. All in all not too awful place to stay. I have been in a lot worse
- 5/5
I enjoyed meeting the couple when I checked them. Very accommodating and friendly.
- 3/5
The place needs to be remodeled and the environment outside is sketchy.from what I’ve seen all of Seattle is that way though
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
It was a good place to stay if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. It’s not really scenic, but the price is very great!
- 2/5
the room was in terrible shape, stains on the wall, stains on the toilet. smelled like smoke and pretty much disgusting. was afraid to look under the bed sheets. The older couple were really nice and refunded my money right away, but I will definitely not be booking this hotel in the future.
- 3/5
Staff was nice. Not a good part of town. Towels, beds, walls were dirty
- 2/5
I wouldn’t even remove my socks in there, for real. The floor was disgusting. I found a big toe nail clipping clear as day sitting there on the ground. Now, if I was a collector of nasty stranger’s toenail clippings, I’d be stoked. But, I am simply a normal person who doesn’t have that particular fetish, so I wasn’t thrilled. The bed….just….just…. Check yourself for bed bugs, that’s all I’m sayin’.
- 5/5
Not the Crown Plaza but a nice place to lay your weary head for a third of the price.
- 4/5
It was clean well appointed. No frills but a good basic room
- 2/5
Windows were dangerous and area not safe full of prostitutes. Even for the price it is too bad
- 2/5
Bare minimum of amenities. Overall is not very clean. I got what I paid for.
- 1/5
The office was closed when we arrived. No one came when we rang the doorbell. No one answered the phone when we called. There were many women in very short shorts/skirts and very high heels hanging out on the sidewalk right outside the parking lot.
- 4/5
It was nice
- 2/5
Very old, rundown, and dirty motel
- 4/5
It was fine. No issues
- 5/5
The accommodations may be outdated but they were comfortable and clean. The shower was amazingly clean. Very clean room. And I felt safe
- 5/5
Great flop when hungover. Always coffee and staff is classic?❤️
