Very unique hotel! The interior is well decorated and maintained. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful! Room was very clean and spacious enough for 2 people. Very comfortable one night stay!

The checkin process was impersonal and clumsy- not a friendly place to stay. Very small rooms.

Our room was disgusting…We opened the toilet to a surprise.

My room was ok till I laid on the bed and there was a bunch of hairs along the edge near the wall headboard after driving for over 13 hrs I dealt with it but it was been a nightmare trying to get a refund for my stay. Check in was easy but parking was hard to find.

The rooms are somewhat smaller than those found in traditional hotels, but they are thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and efficiently use the available space. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its outstanding location. It is ideally situated in downtown Seattle, allowing guests to walk to many of the city’s main attractions within 5 to 10 minutes, and most others within about 15 minutes. This makes it an excellent choice for visitors who want to explore the city without relying on transportation. The staff provided good service, and the hotel is very easy to access. In addition, the room we stayed in on the sixth floor offered spectacular views of the city, making our stay even more enjoyable. , it is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a clean, modern, well-located hotel with a unique concept in the heart of Seattle. 100% recommended.

Great location, very clean. Vibrant with good lighting, art, good bar and coffee and in general energizing place to walk into. The rooms are very small but modern and modeled after their Overall great, no complaints. Rooms are small but designed well.

So vibey and cute! In a great location in Amazon headquarters area. Walking distance to Seattle center and sights but still in a nice area

The location was convenient. And the room was clean and just right for 1 person I find the staff pretentious and unfriendly, primarily the female employees. It’s like they bring personal bias into the workplace with them. It’s not just one but a few of them that quite frankly aren’t very pleasant at all! I will seek accommodation elsewhere my next visit to Seattle. I may have to spend a little more money, but I’m willing to make that investment to be treated with professionalism and respect.

Nothing The staff and service
- 4/5
When we arrived from our long flight, there was no one on reception but plenty of iPads to check-in. Halfway through our process of checking in, a member of staff was clearly frustrated that we had started the process before speaking with anyone and rushed over to ask us to provide our ID and a bank card immediately. She also said that she wouldn’t be able to guarantee our room is ready as we were an hour early for check in time. All of this before saying hello or even letting us speak. It was a little much for our first experience of Seattle.

This is a perfect place for a solo traveler. The room was small, but very tidy. Near the Seattle Center and Monorail, which means easy access to the Market. The breakfast was phenomenal - hot and cold foods plus pastries, with espresso drinks from the barista included. I didn’t like the in-room iPad, which controls the room’s lights, TV, and temperature, but the staff were very accommodating and removed it. I couldn’t use the TV afterwards, but it wasn’t a big deal to me. I really, really enjoyed this hotel!
- 5/5
Helpful staff and great location.
- 5/5
Besides small rooms, everything was excellent.

- 4/5
A very modern hotel
- 2/5
Everything was fine aside from the room not being clean. The bed sheets were covered with black particles and stains which have been photographed. Room was switched to a lower floor with different view. They gave us free breakfast in return for the inconvenience, however, we never are up early enough for this as we paid 45 dollars extra for late checkout.
- 4/5
I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great spot , walking distance to places . Beautiful room with high tech gadgets. Loved the Hotel. Definitely recommend. Tried the food downstairs as well , not bad 😋
- 5/5
My room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, they truly made the most of the space and thought of every detail. Even the ironing room was impressive! One of my favorite amenities is the gym. It's always clean, well-maintained, and feels very secure with keycard access. The app is incredibly convenient, and the breakfast is always a great way to start the day. Overall, CitizenM continues to exceed my expectations. I already can't wait to book my third stay next year. Thank you for another wonderful experience!
- 5/5
As a first time traveler, I could not be more happier for picking to stay here, perfect for a solo or a couple stay. Felt secured and safe. The bar / lounge / kitchen was a plus. No need to go out for a late night drink or snack , they got you covered. Love that I could control temp or lights or TV from just from a tablet. I will definitely would stay here again . I don't ask for much and try not to be picking when staying I hotel, for me 10 out of 10
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Great views, super helpful staff, and really nice rooms with an iPad to control everything from.
- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was great!
- 1/5
Absolutely nothing good to report. Room was smaller than a cruise ship inside room. Antifa kept us up banging on drums shouting free Palestine. Check in was awful. A person stood there and told us to use a tablet. We weren’t given any orientation to the hotel or the neighborhood. We heard other guests being welcomed and told when coffee was open and where to walk to. This room is an absolute farce compared to what we saw on hotels.com. Such a bait and switch absolute highway robbery. College dorms are better than this
- 5/5
If you are a bigger person, this isn't the place for you. Tiny rooms, tiny shower.
- 5/5
You simply have to experience this for yourselves... It’s not a conventional hotel, but rather thoroughly modern. I highly recommend the buffet—it’s well worth it and offers a great variety. I recommend this hotel 100%.
- 5/5
Clean room, bar was nice. No pool though & the rooms are tiny, but for a night or two it worked well. Parking nearby is expensive & night time is noisy from all the sirens outside.. hotel itself was nice & quiet.
- 5/5
Fabulous experience!
- 5/5
Really techy hotel. Located close to everything
- 5/5
Great location, great customer service and clean hotel.
- 5/5
Cute little hotel
- 3/5
Tiny room but very quiet. An iPad controls everything but don’t expect some basic toiletries in your room like a shower cap much less a single water glass or facilities to make a cup of tea. Staff very variable in friendliness. Wouldn’t retun.
- 5/5
Cozy, modern rooms made for a fun stay.
- 5/5
Great experience. Eco-friendly 10/10
- 3/5
Tiniest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Everything was very clean, new, and modern but also confusing and cold. We literally could not figure out the light switches and how to operate the lights separately at all without the iPad in room which serves as a universal remote...... when it's 2 am and you have to pee- a light switch would be nice. It's never a great experience to feel like you're in a college dorm room climbing over your partner because the king size bed is wedged between 3 walls. We did book through a 3rd party whose pictures were misleading but I found the experience to be reflective of the times. Paying more for less but it's packaged to make you feel like it's luxury. They seemingly remodeled an existing hotel and cut each room into thirds. I would not want that experience again. You're really paying for the very aesthetic lobby and built in workspaces. So for work travels/ meetings, great hotel choice. For the night of your wedding and a romantic, comfortable place to relax, not so much. The breakfast was nice for a continental buffet set up but that actually cost extra and there was no free water to be found.
- 5/5
Room was cleaned well
- 5/5
Funky and unique. Small rooms but cool hotel. Cheap street parking.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly! Clean and nice space
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay here, the place was a little small but cozy at the same time. The city view was perfect and the ability to adjust the lights in the room was really cool. A little bummed that there was no microwave however there was a mini fridge that fit a couple drinks. The location was convenient and close to shops but for the price it was really disappointing that they didn’t have a parking lot. Street parking was offered however there were rarely spots open. There’s a paid parking lot across the street that was roughly $50 for 12 hours but the hotel isn’t associated with them and they don’t do vouchers sadly. Other than that we had a relaxing and enjoyable time :)
- 5/5
better options for breakfast
- 4/5
I unfortunately had small pieces of hair on the side of my bed, I assumed house keeping and brushed it off because everything else was SO amazing. Definitely great for a solo traveler
- 5/5
A well thought out layout, European in styling. Perfect for a solo business traveler. Great check in and out processes. I will stay here again!
- 5/5
Rooms are small, but perfect.
- 5/5
Great lobby
- 4/5
It was a good rate, clean, and they served free coffee and tea until 11am. Rooms are tidy and efficient but small, very similar to Japan. The furnishings were fine, clean, but definitely no frills or extras. It’s a good place to stay for a business trip or if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room or have any people over. It’s very self service so you don’t have to wait for anything but there’s not much feeling of a personalized or luxe hospitality experience.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay.
- 4/5
The rooms are very small. Not your average hotel room. Overall the property was very nice. Parking is $35 at a garage in an alley you have to walk through but the parking was very secure. But street parking wasn’t a problem too much either. It’s close to the space needle and it’s close to a cute little park. Overall the aesthetic was very cute.
- 5/5
Very cool concept for a hotel. Easy self service check in experience. Great staff. Cute lounge area. Yummy, high quality breakfast items.

The staff is so welcoming. They gave me recommendations as a traveler.
- 4/5
Small but clean and friendly staff. Blackout curtains are amazing!! I didnt even realize it was morning. The hotel lobby has lots of sit down areas and books and board games. Ordered the dumplings at the bar and lemon drop and it wasnt very good imo. Other than that I did like the self check in. There was someone there to help me and was a breeze
- 5/5
Some staff were friendly but some were not helpful.
- 5/5
Small room as expected but comfy bed and mattress. Free coffee and tea in the am . Breakfast buffet additional. Excellent location
- 5/5

- 5/5
Fantastic location near train and bus lines and also wakable to numerous locations. Staff went above and beyond to be courtious. For example, one staff member working the bar stopped me as I was walking outside and preemptively offered me a free umbrella loaner for the day. Cant think of the last time a hotel employee preemptively involved themselves in anticipating a need. Andy was extenely kind when my flight was delayed and I arrived at 2am. Very clean room. Unique exercise room. All around great time.
- 4/5
The room was clean. However, the in-room controls did not function properly, and the television would not turn on.
- 5/5

- 5/5
The room was clean, and staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The lobby and room looks incredible, and I would definitely return
- 5/5
Best hotel.

- 5/5
The room, as well as the rest of the property, were clean and in good condition. The breakfast had excellent quality which necessarily translated into fantastic value. Overall, the staff was awesome. I must, however, point out a minor glitch in the service: I love that you guys offer soda water, but when I asked for a bottle, or something of the like, to take some to my room, I was given a bottle with no lid, which meant the carbonation wouldn’t last. When I asked if I could have one of the red bottles, the lady told me those were for decoration only; yet I’ve been given red bottles in San Francisco, Washington DC and Boston.
- 5/5
Very nice 👌 👍
- 2/5
The first room the bed was dirty and the bed sheets where dirty. When I when to tell the staff was not nice like it was my fault. They give a different room but staff were not nice. I choose this hotel because I have a great experience in Los Angeles, but in Seattle not a good experience
- 5/5
amazing!
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff, especially for a first timer like me in Seattle! Good breakfast, there’s a fridge in the room and you can come downstairs to microwave breakfast. Excellent for solo travel.
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. Staff were excellent. Didn’t get there breakfast or anything other food.so I can’t tell you how they food is. But I bet it good. Parking we had to pay for parking which we understand that part. So we parked across the street that night then that morning. we moved the car on side of the hotel and we payed for that too. But overall we will stay again☺️.

Always enjoy staying and street parking is free after 6pm
- 4/5
Very nice accommodation. One drawback: the room was extremely small. We slept in a king bed, which was very comfortable however, I had to climb over my wife. The bed was against 3 walls. Also, take notice, the entire room including temperature, lighting and television is controlled by an iPad so if you’re not comfortable using a computer, brush up!
- 5/5
Such a cute hotel in a nice location. It felt safe, clean, and staff was extremely sweet. I loved the view from our room.
- 5/5
As always had such a great stay at CitizenM. Such a convenient location, super clean, friendly staff. Our television wasn’t working, but the staff offered us free breakfast and took care of the issue the next day. Highly recommend this hotel!
- 5/5
Love this place.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The room was beautifully designed but if you looked closely the cleaning was questionable (dark hairs in shower and on bed when we arrived) the breakfast gas good and the facilities are good too
- 5/5
The room was good, had great knowledgeable staff, and the lobby was amazing! There were so many spots to socialize or to curl up with a good book! 10/10 would recommend
- 4/5

Loved it here! Will be back the next time I’m in town!
- 5/5
Clean, very very quiet, never heard any noise from above or anything. Very central location. Lobby and hallways always smelled good.
- 3/5
The public areas of the hotel were super nice but I did not like how cramped the room was. There wasn't a place to put luggage so I continued to trip over it when navigating the space.
- 5/5
Breakfast cost extra but is quite excellent. The rooms are smaller than expected but very nice. After one night I have decided that this is my go to place to stay every time I am in Seattle I love the tech that controlled all aspects of the room.
- 5/5
Clean room and easy check-in/out process
- 5/5
Everything was comfortable
- 5/5
Great service from the moment I arrived. Perfect space for up to 2 people. Very accommodating when it comes to storing luggage. I arrived early and had a late departure but staff was very helpful with storing my luggage these 2 times. Looking forward to coming back and staying here again :)
- 5/5
Good location, and the stuff all nice!
- 5/5
Nice clean room, easy check-in, and great location.
- 5/5
Room was cozy and the hotel itself was very clean and staff were friendly. only downside was we has to request for housekeeping multiple times before someone came or still didnt end up coming at all. but overall very nice
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Compact and modern room with wonderful views. Modern tv with cast which is rare for mainstream hotels. Modern and exciting room in an excellent location
- 5/5
Amazing. Wife and i loved it
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Straight forward checking in, friendly staff and good placed around to eat and drink.
- 4/5
Rooms are brutaly small…I’ve had larger ones in Tokyo. As long as you are aware the hotel is great.
- 5/5
Have stayed here several times over the years and this location is my go-to for Seattle. It's centrally located, very walkable and close to transit. Rooms are small but well laid out, clean and designed to be "smart" with everything controlled by an app. There is a great communal area to hang out. Bar is insanely expensive but signature cocktails are tasty. Staff are always extremely pleasant. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Nice cozy hotel
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
No room service, extremely small rooms although they were very nice. Great View. Not the most kid friendly
- 4/5
Some wonkiness with the iPad controls.
- 3/5
Room was clean but very small. On my 3rd night, I arrived back late after helping my son move and was very tired. The key would not open my door and all the elctricity was out in my room. Therefore, I had to wait over an hour for the staff to evaluate the situation and then I had to switch rooms in the dark. It was inconvenient.
- 5/5
Great location. Great staff! Rooms could be a bit cleaner. I asked for new sheets and they switched my room. I was happy with my new room
- 5/5
amazing place to stay at
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. I also loved that you can control the entire room with a tablet, from the temperature to the lighting. The color-changing lights were such a fun and modern touch! Breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. It’s buffet-style and only $20, which is totally worth it considering the variety and quality of the food. The bar staying open until 1:30am was another huge plus, perfect for late-night drinks and relaxing. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would 100% book again! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
The room was spotless! The vibe was so much fun. Staff was great and so helpful since the second i walked in. The only thing I didnt like was the parking situation, but I got lucky with street parking right outside.
- 5/5
Great concept! Clean and excellent service.
- 5/5
Love the location of this hotel. I have stayed in many of the hotels downtown and wanted a nice walk in a morning so went for South Lake Union. Some cracking eateries close by, Space Needle, bagel shop.
- 4/5
My stay at CitizenM , was good , I am not a wiz at technology, although it might seem great to have an AI technology system, I was a bit uncomfortable with having to manage my room necessities by a tablet , even the tv remote controlled by a tablet , as well as clean service , I might be old fashion but I am not too comfortable yet with technology for everything , including , lights , tv , cleaning request and you name it . That is the reason I did not rated excellent , it might be great with time , but I am not ready for all that now, specially when tv was taken a while to change channels or volume not working, maybe I pressed to quick or not the right way . It just frustrated me at times. I am not ready for all that yet .
- 5/5
Best time ever

We chose citizenM South Lake Union based on strong reviews, photos, location, and the promised “high-tech” experience—especially the city views. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. At self check-in, we asked which room orientation would provide the city views shown online. The response was vague and unhelpful. As visitors unfamiliar with Seattle, clearer guidance should be part of basic hospitality. Our room’s “view” looked directly into another office building, with no privacy or ambiance. I tried to address this early by calling the front desk and was told someone would follow up, but no one did. Later, another staff member said the hotel was fully booked and implied the issue was our responsibility, even though view options were never clearly explained. There was no apology or attempt to help. The hotel itself feels more like a capsule hotel or college dorm than a good option for families: • Extremely small rooms and bathrooms • No microwave or in-room coffee maker • Very small sinks • No Smart TV (Chromecast only) • Gimmicky lighting over comfort This hotel seems designed for influencers or solo travelers, not families. Between the poor customer service and the underwhelming room, the stay was not worth it. We would not stay here again.

Very modern. Great experience. Would recommend.
- 5/5
This hotel was pretty amazing!
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely amazing! More hotels need to be like this one! Even the whole glass bottle for complimentary spring water and sparkling water down by the bar that you can take back with you to your room... is game changing! Love the food bar! Great ambiance! The rooms were immaculate and loved the changing lights in the bathroom for mood lighting... will be back again! If you can build a hotel like this in Hawaii... we would appreciate that!
- 5/5
The room and hotel was very clean. Staff were super friendly. It is very different. If you are traveling for business, I recommend this hotel.

The staffs were very friendly

Nice chic modern rooms. A little on the small side but good enough. Friendly environment, very clean high tech rooms. Good area, would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Very minimalist and functionally connected through iPad. Josie went the extra mile even during a busy period of the day. Thanks 👍 We will be back
- 5/5
Clean room, attentive and polite staff. Plenty of (ada room was booked) wheelchair space, fun iPad control for lights, color of lights, and climate control. True black out curtains that WORKED. Funky unique bar/chill spots in the lobby.

The room - loved the tech and lighting creativity, and the ability to control everything from the iPad… my one complaint is that the room is very small. Very little floor space and the bathroom is tiny since it’s sharing the shower space. Good for one person only…. Reminds me of micro apartments.

The staff was so kind and would give me amazing suggestions! The hotel was so clean and the view was breathtaking! I plan on coming back again soon because I just had an amazing experience here! The best way to start my 2026 travel plans!

Nice hotel + clean room
- 4/5
My boyfriend and I came here for his 30th birthday and had such a great time. Everyone at the front desk was so nice and helpful, the bar staff was attentive and friendly. It’s very walkable and in a convenient location. My only cons would have to be how small the room is, how uncomfortable the pillows and blanket were, and how the iPad to control everything in the room didn’t really work. The tv didn’t work well either which sucked but overall it was a nice stay!
- 4/5
The hotel is modern with high tech room features. Breakfast buffet was pretty good too. Service was slow though I ordered fresh towels and it never arrived I had to go down and get it myself. Location is nice very close to the Space Needle and MOPOP.
- 5/5
Clean and easy to check in.
- 3/5
Cleanliness was great, amazing staff. Rooms a tad bit too small for my liking. Good for a quick day trip
- 1/5
We arrived at the property at noon knowing check in was not until two. We asked if early check in was possible and we were told they could check us in at one. We went and had lunch close by and returned at one. The woman before us was checked in without issue and we were in the middle of being checked in when a woman manager came up and told the girl helping us that because the hotel was completely booked that they could not check anyone in until two. We reminded them that we had already been told we could check in at one but it made no difference. We then sat in the lobby for an hour. We were only in town for a football game for one night and we feel like we lost two hours of our very short trip. Had we been told at noon that we could not check in until two, we would have dropped our bags and gone into the city to do some of the things we wanted to do. Instead we sat in the lobby and watched the same manager eat her lunch. While more and more people showed up causing a large amount of people to start showing up and creating a back up at two when they could finally start checking people in. All because it was full that night? It was very aggravating and I will never book this property again because of that one manager. Everyone and everything else was fine and I would have given a good review.
- 5/5
Excellent room
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and everyone was amazing and respectful

The few humans who do work there were delightful, had a nice chat with the bartender in the lobby bar and they kept the place spotless.

Housekeeping "threw away" two of my shopping bags with stuff OBVIOUSLY in it (no, my bags were not in the trash can). The manager said if it's on the floor, near the door or near the trash can, Housekeeping would think it's trash and throw it away(???). I said my shopping bags were NOT in the trash can, and you can clearly see my stuff in the bags. Manager said they're not allowed to go through guest's belonging (??) then why would you throw your guest's belonging away? male manager worked that one night made no sense at all (1/8/26). He offered to refund me the shirt price, but I have other stuffs. But whatever. I was NOT happy with this explanation at all. It feels like he tried to put the blame on me. I needed to extended another night but I decided to go to a different hotel down the street instead.

Got in after hours and was worried that we would have a hard time getting in. no problem for the self check in, and bar was still open when we go there. For a last minute booking and a 1st time getaway this was fun and intimate. i was nervous the smaller untraditional style would shock my partner, but they were stunned and looked at it as an experience. the only downside was the fact the bathroom "shower/toilet" area had no fan... you could hear everything you or your partner were doing in there. the big bed was so cozy and great for watching the views of sunrise/sunset. the Ipad was my fav ft all at your finger tips. I love a smart room/ lighting and this was great.
- 5/5
Clean room and great staff! Love the decor.
- 5/5
Great location, excellent rooms, highly competitive rates, fun staff.
- 3/5
Housekeeping threw away two of my shopping paper bags with things in it (it's VERY OBVIOUS). Manager said sorry but if I left it on the floor NEAR the door/trash can, Housekeeping would think it's trash. I said my things were NOT in the trash can and it's VERY OBVIOUS that there are things inside those two bags, and then the manager guy said Housekeeping cannot look into guest's belonging (???) - then why did they threw it out if it's guest's belongings? The manager made no sense. They offered to pay for a shirt that's in one of my bags, mind you the other bag also have other things I just bought. I could have made a big deal out of it but I decided not to. Whatever. You can hear most things going on in the hallway from inside the room e.g: next door close or open, walking talking sound, cleaning room next door. I don't enjoy that, but not hate that too much either. Room is tiny. Closet is right next to the door and very small; width+depth is about the size of a carryon luggage laying flat. It's cheaper than other hotels around so I guess that makes up for the tiny size. I was gonna extend another night but decided to spend the night at another hotel a block away that's way better. Overall, not bad but not great. If you're looking for affordable options, this might be for you.
- 5/5
Very extraordinary from other hotel I've been too. Would recommend for a solo or two people trip.
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff was helpful and friendly
- 3/5
It was okay
- 5/5
Me and my partner were super excited even before we arrived at CitizenM in Seattle. The room was perfectly as described and pictured; clean, modern, and cozy! The staffs were super helpful at the self check-in. The hotel was right in downtown Seattle, with lots of places to explore. The experience here was spectacular and we would definitely book here again the next time we visit!
- 5/5
good place and good room
- 5/5
Great place to be ..
- 1/5
We booked CitizenM because we were very impressed by the Washington D.C. location from before. But our stay at this one left us very disappointed. The pillows were too high, so they hurt my neck and the hotel did not have any alternative. The WiFi was terrible — it often disconnected, was very weak, or just didn’t work. The TV in our room was faulty and would randomly turn on by itself and disturb our sleep. Our stay was so bad that we wanted to check out early and stay at another hotel. Also, after the Marriott acquisition, the prices have gone up while quality declined. Our bed does not feel as comfortable as the last time we stayed at CitizenM. Customer service is non-existent. We will never, ever stay at a CitizenM ever again.
- 3/5
Room is so so so tiny, little bathroom privacy, bed was so uncomfortable and lacked pillows. Location was great though, and the lobby area is very nice.
- 5/5
Tiny but the price is right and the hotel is super nice!
- 5/5
Clean n cute
- 5/5
Clean, safe, friendly people. I have absolutely 0 complaints at any Citizen M I stay at. My husband and I had a great stay here during our Seattle vacation. Breakfast buffet is fantastic for the price!
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful! Good location!
- 3/5
I was double charged for taxes both from expedia and at the hotel, which is now making me have to call my bank and the hotel. All of which is time consuming.
- 2/5
Fix it. Told me I had to get citizen m app and that would work. App does not exist. No amenities but everyone wants tips Never staying here again
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. This location was extremely convenient and very walkable - we did not need to rent a car. We were able to take light rail almost the entire way to the hotel from SEA airport. Loved the funky vibe and artsy feel.
- 4/5
One night stay in Seattle.
- 3/5
Nice hotel clean and friendly however very small rooms
- 5/5
Everything
- 4/5
Only issue was the TV kept turning on, on its own..... Kept us up throughout the night even after turning it off multiple times.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing i was worried about the price of breakfast but it was delicious i will be back
- 5/5
Amazing staff. Extremely Clean and spotless rooms. It’s My second time staying with them and I would keep going back. Can’t wait to book with them again 🙌
- 5/5
Loved how the room lights are controllable, along with tv and blinds/curtains. Very different take on a hotel room, but excellent.
- 5/5
Only one word Excellent
- 5/5
The room was spotless! The staff was super nice and accommodating to our needs.
- 5/5
Love the art and location, but what stood out the best for us were the staff. They were absolutely helpful and awesome. Everyone was so nice. Highly recommend this hotel and we plan to return.
- 5/5
Everything is great
- 5/5

- 4/5
Rooms are always great. My husband and I like the size for just us 2. Only issue is they stopped leaving wash cloths/face towels in the rooms. You can ask and they will supply upon request. Well we slept there 2 nights and called multiple times, but were always told they were being washed and they would send them when they were done. Never got one. I don’t expect a lot because it’s small and affordable, but even the most basic motel has towels you can use to wash your face. This isn’t something that would stop us from booking again, but it’s the first and only disappointment we had experienced there in all of the times that we’ve went to their various properties.
- 5/5
Really good for what you pay for.
- 5/5
Small but very comfortable. Just what I needed. Loved the shower!
- 5/5
Great location. Easy bus access.
- 4/5
Fun, funky, efficient, clean
- 5/5
very unique
- 5/5
Easy to check in
- 1/5
Extremely small room
- 5/5
Clean rooms and helpful staff! Easy check in and checkout, with the front desk staff being willing to hold our bags post-check out after our flight got delayed so we could continue exploring the city. The hotel is located in a safe area where I (23F) felt safe walking in at night with my boyfriend. Many restaurants within a short walking distance, and the Space Needle was visible from the hotel. I will say that compared to the Chicago CitizenM, this hotel’s gym was smaller. Also, it didn’t have its complimentary amenities accessible/advertised unless you asked for a specific item, upon which they’d provide it without showing what else they offer. There is also no restroom in the lobby, only two all gender restrooms in the basement where it is completely dark until the motion sensor lights turn on - even then, it’s a little spooky! Overall, I love Citizenm and this specific location. I wouldn’t recommend it for families or to someone my parents’ ages or older due to the room size (smaller!) and the modern, techy room for which a provided iPad controls all the lights, temperature, curtains, and other settings. Absolutely recommend it for young adults though.

Nice room, very clean, location is great, everything worked well in the room, shower was fantastic, overall my stay was wonderful
- 5/5
Always have a good experience at this chain. I love the aesthetic of the communal areas, the breakfast and bar options are affordable, and the room size is perfect for solo travelers.
- 5/5
Clean room and amazing staff
- 5/5
Modern, perfect location and clean
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
great place to stay. staff was nice and held our luggage for us even after we checked out.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
The rooms are small, sure, but that didn't seem to matter. They felt modern and interesting and calm. I adored the big window and view. The "dream" white noise was a nice touch too for sleeping. Breakfast was great. Couldn't ask for more. I would absolutely recommend this to any friends and will be coming back.
- 5/5
Unique concept
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and room was very clean
- 5/5
Definitely gonna go back in this hotel. It’s my go to hotel now!!
- 4/5
Fun boutique hotel. Staff were all great. The lobby area is designed really well so that you actually want to hang out in it. Helps with the small size of the room as we were there in a group so we still had a space to spend time together.
- 5/5
Stayed here 1 night for a girl’s trip. Room was clean and so cute. Definitely play with the lighting!! Located close to great bars and restaurants. I would love to stay here again and try the bar.
- 4/5
It was all nice except the iPad running the TV just didn't work well. Half the time we couldn't get any channels. Give me an old-fashioned remote!
- 5/5
i had a great time. this hotel was amazing. 10/10. will stay again! so cute! mood lighting. love!
- 5/5
The bed was super comfy with great electric black out curtains (actual black out curtains).
- 3/5
The lobby was beautiful. My room, not cleaned.I asked for another room and the staff was amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. My second room appered to be clean. I noticed in the morning that the shower had someone else hair, so fo me the hotel lacked on room cleanliness. The parking is awful, but it was expected for being downtown. I must add.. if you want a quiet nice rest, then dont have a room facing any of the city. The rooms were not insulated for the "city noise" I heard street blowers all morning and ambulances all night. My stay was an experience. Once again.. the staff was exceptional, even the bartender, but the hotel was mediocre.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and then room is just so relaxing. Along with that, the bar service was great! We hung out there for a few hours our last night and had a good time.
- 5/5
Bambi at the bar is a rockstar.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and it never fails to please me!
- 5/5
CitizenM is a great hotel, witty coworking spaces in the lobby.
- 5/5
Clean room, cozy with streaming services for our TV. Stunning view from upper floor facing the park.
- 5/5
I am glad I was able to come back and stay again. I love the atmosphere and the rooms here
- 5/5
Fun decor, humor, tech vibe, non traditional , great staff, great breakfast
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, decor was amazing. Staff friendly
- 5/5
Did not realize this was a capsule inspired hotel. Room was very small and did not have outlets for CPAPs. Despite this, the incredible staff went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed to be able to stay. Including a like 20 foot extension cord that was just incredible. This hotel smells so good. We did not realize it was a lifestyle hotel for young sensual people… we are in our 30s. We did not come here to hook up. I don’t know just a very funny experience for us. If you’re feeling adventurous, it’s a great place to stay. Have fun changing the lights in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Loved the public spaces and the breakfast-beware room itself is very small...
- 5/5
The check in / check out process is a breeze!
- 3/5
The hotel is fine as far as having a clean stay. The rooms are small, but this is something already advertised. is
- 5/5
The staff was really friendly and went above and beyond! The deco is also really cool! We truly enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
It was a perfect size for one person!
- 4/5
When serving food make sure it’s not old or stale. Make sure not to turn off ac. Even though it might be cool OUTSIDE it’s not inside.
- 5/5
I enjoyed it so much. I came with my birthday and want to come here since September 2023 and I finally came and it is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful amenities and the staff are amazing and so helpful
- 5/5
Had a lovely stay!

- 5/5
Best hotel
- 4/5
Rooms are so small
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here about 6 times, it’s always a great experience!
- 3/5
When I walked into my room, it smelled terrible. It smelled like sheets that had not been washed in forever. The actual sheets on the bed were clean. It was the pillows, not the pillowcases, but the pillows smelled terrible so used the staff went in the room, covered their nose. That’s how bad it was. I got a new room. The pillow still smelled, but not as bad But the shower didn’t work at 5:30 in the morning the blinds open and the TV came on for some unknown reason it did it two more times after that and then housekeeping was knocking on the door trying to get in physically get in at 8:30 when I hadn’t checked out but somehow on the computer system, it said I had checked out. I’ve stayed at citizens before and loved my stay not so much this time. However, the staff was very nice and professional.
- 5/5
Great location, staff, and amenities. Perfect for my business trip of one night.
- 5/5
Great hotel and great area! The rooms were small but very quirky and the hotel facilities were brilliant. The gym was also a welcome benefit and within walking distance of the needle and a great Whole Foods.
- 5/5
Good location comfortable beds. Enough said
- 5/5
Beats all the hotels out there. I’d rather stay here than the Hilton. Thank you!
- 5/5
Trendy style place. Very friendly. Not a traditional hotel but was impressed.
- 4/5
It wasn’t super clear in the description that these rooms would be so tiny but it was a fun experience.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly!!
- 5/5
The room was perfect for the two of us, we loved the iPad to control the lights, TV, temperature, it was so convenient! We also absolutely loved the area - it’s 20 min walk to pike place market and it was clean, safe and quiet to walk around at night - enough people around to feel safe but not so many that it was busy!
- 5/5
Everything was enjoyable
- 5/5
Sorry for the late thank you. I was so grateful to the kind and gentle lady who helped me check in. I'm so sorry I don't remember her name, but I had a wonderful birthday because of her!
- 1/5
Closet style rooms. Horrible
- 5/5
Made reservations to stay a couple of nights before a cruise. Liked it so much, booked to stay a couple more nights after. Although the rooms are quite small, everything else makes up for it. Clean, modern, great location, business and leisure friendly, cordial and helpful staff, nice bar and a stacked breakfast buffet. Shout out to Herma Bange who went beyond her way to help us solve a situation.
- 4/5
Me and my lady loved the room, cute LED lights, cute shower and toilet combo. netflix wasn’t connecting but youtube did (we did youtube movies) 😀 breakfast was pretty good. eggs were not good but everything else was pretty good. we got super lucky and got one of the premium parking spots (only 15 available) in their overnight garage and it was only like 38$ for 24 hours (good for seattle) and you get a cool batman garage to put ur whip into. anyways will definitely come back. staff was very nice and helpful too.
- 3/5
The hotel is similar across the board, but this one was especially loud. The hallways had constant traffic from early in the morning to late at night, which is fine but the doors don’t block out the noise. The bed like all the others oddly hurts my back. However, this hotel is a far better deal than most and it’s clean and safe so I’ll return again but maybe not to this location.
- 5/5
First time staying at citizenM and I loved it! Will be back
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff is accommodating.
- 4/5
Good location, clean, but would prefer having coffee/tea/water in the room. Breakfast was decent too, with barista-made coffee.
- 5/5
Great hotel , modern.
- 5/5
Fun environment, comfortable, unique room
- 5/5
Nice hotel very close to downtown Seattle. Rooms a bit small but very well kept. Staying again on the way back. Excellent.
- 5/5
Loved my stay ! Very comfortable and cozy
- 2/5
Staff was basically dismissive…everything is DIY even when they are standing right there watching you. Bartenders were nice though. Room is the SMALLEST accommodations I’ve ever stayed in, even compared to large cities in Asia and Europe where rooms are known for being compact. The shower was basically in the middle of the room and you have to literally crawl in and out of the bed as you can only access it from one side (it is the width of the room tucked in the back. So uncomfortable especially for the price…will not be returning.
- 5/5
Great staff conveniently located near the Space Needle with plenty of restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
Such a unique, beautiful, artsy, and fun place! Amazing experience!
- 5/5
Very nice property. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but very small.
- 3/5
The room should have been called a pod, no wider than the length of the bed, minimal floor space, min storage space. This was my experience with this brand hotel.
- 2/5
A/C didn’t work, fridge didn’t work, TV was glitchy, no remote for the TV as it had been substituted for an iPad that supposedly did everything but in reality was no help at all. Stop being trendy & provide the basic amenities I paid for before getting cute with it.
- 5/5
Little weak water pressure. Toilet water noise after flush continues after repeat flushes. Shower head keeps turn to side when hung. Pillows are too high.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Everything from check in to check out was automated. Great breakfast options
- 4/5
STAF FRIENDLY. EASY CHECK INN AND CHECK OUT. WAKING DISTANCE TO AMENITIES (SPACE NEEDLE, AQUARIUM,CHIHULLI, ETC)
- 5/5
Very good values
- 4/5
Nice place, we enjoyed the decor and mood. While the iPad and mood/lighting etc was fun, we were tired from traveling and longed for a simple old school switch to turn off the lights
- 5/5
room was nice, staff was nice as well. location is super convenient and nice and quiet
- 5/5
Great location, central to the Pikes Market and the space needle. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was extremely clean however, the rooms were way smaller than expected. We did love all the little witty messages on the various items. All and all, we would stay here again.
- 5/5
The showering water was too low.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Good experience. First time staying
- 4/5
I didn't like how you had to use your key in the elevator. I didn't like how small the rooms were. They were more like efficiencies. The square footage should have been listed. As a client headed to Alaska with 6 bags in tow, the carpet was too thick for luggage strolling, very hard to maneuver. The smell was an acquired taste, it was overwhelming. There was no food for continental breakfast, but rather a $21 breakfast that didn't look appetizing. I would not stay here again due to small room.
- 5/5
It had a friendly staff and welcoming environment.
- 5/5
Room was small but all that we needed. The app that controlled items in the room was nice.
- 5/5
The rooms are very cool - each of them has an iPad in it for controlling lights, temp, the TV and blinds.
- 4/5
Just a couple of issues/points: My room temperature control was not working. Would be good to clearly state what coffees/drinks are freely available. Also though water was available at the reception bar by the glass…a handy water bottle would be good to take to the room.
- 5/5
They offer a nice buffet breakfast at a fair price for the area. It was a unique experience that I enjoyed, and while I, as an older traveler, prefer a more traditional hotel room, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in a Citizen M hotel on occasion in the future.
- 5/5
Great concept. Excellent service and good location
- 5/5
Perfect for a small getaway
- 5/5
Parking was my main concern because I was gonna be driving around in a rental car but there was no issue at all because street parking was available right outside of the hotel and I was able to pay and keep track of the time through my phone.
- 5/5
Loved staying here. It’s a very imaginatively designed hotel. The rooms are tiny European style which we very much like (though not for everyone I guess.) Very convenient to South Lake Union, Downtown, Seattle Center and Capitol Hill.
- 1/5
Don’t
- 5/5
Love the hotel to stay in Seattle
- 4/5
I would prefer traditional check-in service over self service. Your company is in the hospitality business, you should provide customer service instead of requiring Self Service.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Very easy check-in via ipads in reception area. Friendly staff, plenty of sofas and seats to relax. Very nice bar area. Easy to use the tech in the room, spotlessly clean. In a very walkable area of the city.
- 5/5
Great location, simple walk to pike place and other spots downtown. Space needle very close! Hotel was very clean and nice, good bar for quick drink and bite!
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. The place was very clean. Funky decor.
- 5/5
Clean and easily accessible to downtown Seattle sites
- 4/5
It wasn’t annoying enough to make me not want to stay again, but like… who wants to half to turn their room on and off again?
- 4/5
It was a unique property. Everything is by computer. The elevator requires the card key, the TV requires you to use an app which operates the window screen etc. The rooms were very small but was okay for the few days I stayed there. The staff was friendly and helpful so were the customers.
- 5/5
Love the cozy room. All staff was accommodating, friendly, and eager to please.
- 5/5
Loved the artwork, the energy, the efficient, and cute, rooms, and awesome staff. Will always look for a CitizenM when traveling.
- 5/5
Didn’t get to stay long, but I loved all the tech in the room!
- 4/5
Staff was very nice and helpful and down stairs area was very nice and entertaining, with games and a bar.
- 5/5
Very modern hip property
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly. Not for more than two people but very nice and fancy
- 5/5
The room was god
- 2/5
This was the smallest room ever.
- 4/5
The bed was super comfy (10/10 would faceplant again), and the blackout blinds worked so well I briefly forgot what year it was when I woke up. All in all, a great stay—just be prepared to get cozy… very cozy.
- 5/5
Quiet
- 5/5
Easily accessible with transit, clean and great for work trips. Staff is very friendly and helpful
- 3/5
Staff very friendly and welcoming. No onsite parking, did not see any warning about lack of parking when I booked my stay.
- 4/5
Good hotel. Convenient. Rooms are much smaller than the pictures show. Pay attention to the sqft
- 5/5
Great location, staff was super friendly, hotel was very clean and smelled awesome. Breakfast was great. Love the decor in the main lobby. Room is small, but the bed was very comfortable and shower was modern and clean. Liked the app which controlled the room, very cool.
- 5/5
Wish there had been a restaurant inside but we had food delivered quite easily.
- 4/5
Great hotel! Would book again!
- 5/5
I enjoy Citizen M. I stayed in Seattle Miami and San Francisco locations this year. The locations were great in all 3. I think the price was reasonable. I appreciate the bar and food on site. Love the cozy rooms, comfortable beds, modern amenities. Thanks!
- 5/5
Everything was great! The staff was super friendly and funny. The check in/out process was easy. The room was just what I needed and everyrhing was walkable.
- 5/5
Smart room
- 5/5
A very nice, very modern hotel with a good gym and a convenient location.
- 5/5
Great location, east check in and out process. Enjoyed the technology integration which enhanced the experience. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
The “courtyard” view is a joke. Literally looking into 20 rooms across the courtyard. Being a Expedia gold member you get no perks here.
- 4/5
Close to attractions like Chihuly Gardens, Spice Needle and Pike Market. Hotel itself modern, pretty and clean, and they serve a very good breakfast buffet; but bear in mind, the room itself is extremely small; not much room to move around. Overall, not bad if you don’t mind feeling cramped.
- 3/5
Very all room. No wiggle room. Comfy bed. Uncomfortable bathroom/shower situation.
- 5/5
What a modern concept with an awesome lobby.
- 1/5
I liked the decor of the hotel and room. I liked that I was able to check in early and get a room. I like that I could get around on foot to some places. I had an issue with cleaning staff entering my room and going through my closed suitcases when I brought it to managements attention they offered me coffee and since stated I was leaving in the morning it shouldn’t be a problem letting them know not to return to my room. Very frustrated and feel upset about that situation and management did not respond properly.
- 4/5
I enjoyed the convenience and cleanliness. Rooms are too small for my preference.
- 4/5
We really loved the hotel, staff and location and have absolutely no complaints except for the bathroom. There is really no privacy for a couple sharing one of the rooms. Even the shower pressure is great! But I think that folks should know about the bathroom situation before they book. It’s a small iced glass area that is in the bedroom, not a separate room. Perfect for a solo traveler, though!
- 3/5
Unaware that we needed to use ipad for all services like cleaning. Rooms very small
- 4/5
Little to small
- 3/5
Room was too small. Nice decor and all but not functional. Bed was placed between walls, against the window where there's no room to move around. My wife and I stayed. The room was not even suitable for one person.
- 5/5
Best stay I’ve had so far
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Ultra sleek, modern and compact. A very Japanese Design feel.
- 2/5
There were hairs on the mattress by the wall… gross. It also advertises 24/7 bar and snacks but it closed at 2am. Cool lights in the bathroom though.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 4/5
While the staff was supportive, the room was smaller than expected.
- 5/5
The only thing for 2 people with luggage is the small size of the room....
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and there were lots of restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
I loved how modern the property was but also very comfortable. Close to a lot of the main attractions as well.
- 5/5
Great spot
- 4/5
Loved everything about this hotel except for the room. The standard king room feels like a travel trailer. Very long, bed is at end of room & you have to crawl over/around partner to get out of the bed (I’m too old for that) because the bed is attached to wall. On flip side, staff great, bar/lobby awesome, drinks/apps great, decor very cool. Great location/walkable. Would stay again only get a different room.
- 5/5
Accessible safe and rentable scooters everywhere.
- 1/5
They gave me a free drink voucher…
- 5/5
Great stay! Loved the tech features of the room. Rooms are small so not great for a long stay but great for a weekend getaway. Very walkable. Super safe. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great stay. Awesome location
- 5/5
Super clean. My son loved being able to change the color of the lights. Very cool. It would be nice if they had a little bit more flexibility with check-in times though. The flights get in early and you are a bit stuck. They did store our bags for us though so we could go see some stuff. Everyone was super friendly.
- 4/5
This property is nice, modern and very clean in a convenient location. Check-in and parking are very confusing. Given the nature of their self check-in, the front desk tends to be unattended. I found myself waiting much longer than I should have on multiple occasions for service. At multiple points the front desk attendant was behind the bar chatting with patrons and not paying attention. The service at the bar isn’t the best either, long waits while staff freely chats with patrons, but they’re very friendly. The drinks and loaded nachos are delicious! The rooms are deceivingly small in their website photos. Be prepared for a literal cruise ship cabin. If you’re staying with more than one in a room it’ll be very crowded and the bathroom lacks privacy as the walls are glass. Beds are comfy, though! Now that I know what to expect, I’d stay here again.
- 3/5
I just finished a stay in this hotel.
- 4/5
Fan in room did not work, floors damaged and noisy. Staff was amazing though. Worth a stay, I probably just had a bad room
- 4/5
Small studio. Everything I need. But I think it’s overpriced
- 5/5
Good room for solo or couple travel small and clean has everything you would need. Staff is freiendly and there is food and drinks available 24/7. They have a small gym and other amenities.
- 5/5
Honestly the best and easiest way to check in. We loved the system they used it was super simple and quick.
- 4/5
Property was nice and the quality of the hotel was good. Not a ton of privacy in the room as we were facing another room across us in the courtyard. Descriptions of rooms should be more accurate when checking in.
- 5/5
Slept great and very high tech!
- 4/5
Easy room for solo stay. Clean and convenient.
- 5/5
Sensational breakfast. Staff very helpful, very responsive. Very good high tech. Everything worked. Great location. Everything1st rate. The only negative was the room was extremely small.
- 5/5
Smaller space but expected for downtown location. Will be back.
