Great place to stay close to the freeway and close to serval towns. Have stayed here before and will stay again for future stays

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. From the time we walked in the door, including the excellent greeting and simple check-in, to the wonderful cleaning staff…we were incredibly well taken care of. Thank you, Ayres!

Throop was very nice and the staff is super friendly, professional, and helpful. However, there’s a constant unpleasant mechanical noise running all night long; not the AC and not freeway traffic. Definitely something mechanical in the building.

The breakfast was fine but the same thing every day It was great that housekeeping came to the room every day. It was great that they offer free parking. Nice patio, pool, and hot tub.

The hotel was beautiful, extremely clean and the continental breakfast was great. The staff were nice . Our only complaint was on our floor there were kids running up and down the halls constantly knocking on our room door and then running away. Then we kept getting prank calls to our room. We finally kept the phone off the hook so we could rest and sleep. We complained to the front desk, but it kept happening .

Staff was friendly The rooms are dark with old fashioned unattractive furniture. Many rooms look out at the parking lot. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or bar. It’s located on a very busy street.

The complimentary breakfast was actually really good. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, delicious hash browns, good salsa. They had muffins and pastries that looked good. Coffee was ok. Pretty good food overall.

The hot tub and pool were great. The pool is not heated, but the hot tub was warm and the jets worked. I do think it could be skimmed more often as there were lots of bugs in the jacuzzi in the evening. Their daily breakfast was delicious - we only had it on the morning that we left, but wish we had enjoyed it more. We will definitely stay here again.

Our TV was hard to change channels. Since we only stayed for a couple days, it was no big deal. We loved everything else about our stay, including the breakfast.

We, my husband and I found the hotel to be everything we expected from the time we walked into the lobby the first day of 5 days, until the time we left. Staff/front desk/house keeping team were all polite and courteous. The free & wonderful breakfast was great.! Your style and cleanliness and comfort are hard to find in most hotels without paying a mortgage bill. We’ve frequented just about all your hotels for years & have always been well pleased. Thank you Ayres, keep it going!

The hotel is in an urgent need for renovation. It’s worn down and not in a shape that motivates the price. The breakfast is very basic and cheap.

When we woke up the next morning, we headed downstairs for breakfast. Pretty typical free hotel breakfast set up. Nothing spectacular. Head back to the room, place my coffee on the counter and only to return a little while later to a cup full of bugs. Went downstairs and made mention to the staff, and she said she would send housekeeping to the room. Not sure where the bugs came from or what the small was but definitely not what we expected.

Check in process a little lacking. They were communicating a little too infrequently regarding available rooms. We think the housekeeping staff was short staffed or some other reason creating delays for check-ins. Many were waiting in the lobby.

The stay was perfect. One of the best hotels I have been to.

It’s a nice hotel conveniently located. Easy drive to the beach and other areas.

First time staying at Ayres and I loved it! For starters, it’s adorable. Two, everything was clean and in good working order. Three, we loved the pool and hot tub and got lucky it wasn’t loaded with people. Lastly, it was a great breakfast spread (eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, and more). We would stay here again.

Highly recommend! The breakfast was way better than most free breakfast. The hotel was very lovely and updated and our room comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time in the area. The cost was very reasonable and included free parking and breakfast.

Great location--off the 405-convenuent to Long Beach Airport, Seal Beach--spacious room ( had king w/sofa bed).Breakfast was better than average--freshly cooked eggs, sausage, potatoes & tasty salsa as well as fresh fruit that was actually ripe. Staff was helpful especially Belinda who runs the kitchen. Nice public areas. We had a plumbing issue and it was taken care of immediately, we needed more towels and they were also provided promptly. Only drawback was they don't allow pets but it was a great place to stay.

Room was really clean, mattress was comfortable, staff was friendly. The free breakfast was the best for a complementary breakfast. The eggs, hash browns and sausage were fresh not frozen and made right in front of you on a griddle.

Israel was amazing and was a great help my family had to evacuate they're home and i needed to add another room helped no problem i will say breakfast was just on but thats personal preference

Overall it was pretty good for the cost. We were only here for a quick trip, so it did what it needed to do! The size of the room was nice, the continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, and it was pretty quiet. I was a little surprised that there were a few things just off in our room that likely could’ve been addressed prior to us showing up - our bathroom sink was leaking, the shower head needed to be replaced, and we did not have a DND sign for our door. I would stay here again for a similar cost.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff is amazing friendly, welcoming, and attentive from check in to check out. The cleanliness is top notch. The food options are great for guest who eat meat, but as a vegetarian/vegan, I found the choices a bit limited. I would love to see the menu expanded to include more plant-based options perhaps low sugar yogurt, a wider variety of fresh fruit or even a smoothies (a blender station would be a great addition!). Overall fantastic experience, and with just a few more inclusive food options, it would be perfect for everyone.

The eggs were scrambled, always one tray of plain eggs and other had different ingredients (like omelet) each day. Bonus, free parking which is rare to find in the area. The front desk staff was nice. Breakfast is always great. They have a nice gym, well equipped and clean. If you need a late checkout and you ask the night before, don’t rely on that confirmation. Call first thing in the morning and request again.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When they learned that we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. They upgraded our room to a King patio suite. It was such a lovely room that had direct access to the patio, pool and spa.

This is a very nice and new hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Ask for the garden or Terrace view unless you enjoy listening to traffic off the 405. Staff could be a little more pleasant when it comes to kicking people out of the breakfast area. However, the breakfast itself is delicious! This was a great place for my mother and I to stay for a quick getaway.

The presence of bugs made the room feel dirty and uncomfortable, and it ruined our stay. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, but unfortunately this hotel did not meet that expectation. I hope the management will take this seriously and improve their housekeeping. I would not recommend staying here unless the problem is fixed.

The staff were great, and the entire property is very clean and well maintained. The location has a feel of being set apart and quiet. The breakfast is much nicer than the usual do-it-yourself set-up too. We live locally and always refer this Ayres location to visitors and use it ourselves on occasion.

Excellent signage ... easy to find elevators, room numbers, and stairs. As a person with allergies, I really appreciated the no pets rule. There are many places that are pet-friendly, but I am always super impressed when I don't have any allergy problems at all during a stay! I recommend this hotel, and will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

What a lovely hotel. Blew our expectations out of the water! We sadly only got to stay one night but will definitely be back again. The location is great with plenty of food options close by. The main reason we chose Ayres was because we were flying out of Long Beach the next day. The hotel is gorgeous- clean and well maintained and our room was so nice! Can’t wait to go back!!

It was clean and well decorated but the room was very loud with cars going by constantly. The price is overinflated for not getting much sleep. Also, we were on the 2nd floor and the window was very low and opened fully… luckily my kid is older and knew better but if I had small children I’d have been mad. Not safe! Breakfast looked decent but we had to leave so early we didn’t get a chance to enjoy.

The room and facility in general was very clean. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was good, lots of options and made fresh in front of you. The A/C worked really well. My only issue was that the room said city view. I was expecting to see the city, but the only view was the parking lot, the freeway and the freeway offramp. If you book a room, opt for the courtyard view instead. It was dissappointing to look at the freeway.

I do not recommend staying across from the Housekeeping area, which is where we were. The staff was very loud and were raising their voices well into the night. The door kept opening and closing which was very easy to hear from where we were as well. They were doing their job and I do not fault them for that but I was a little surprised at how loud they were. I wouldn't say they were yelling, but they were speaking very loudly at each other down the hall and the doors sounded like they were slamming. So if you can avoid it, I highly recommend not staying on the first floor by the housekeeping area. Overall, the hotel was very nice.

Overall very good stay, except from my room 208 I can hear this faint music on the whole night, which is loud enough to wake me up from time to time. Later I found out its the speaker they installed in the ceiling on first floor that emit the music whole night. Wish they could turn off that lobby music off at night. Also, the A/C was blowing cold despite adjusting up the temperature.

The only complaint is that the carpets in the rooms are old and dirty. The need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned.

I've stayed at Ayres Seal Beach several times in the last 15. It is convenient, clean, and safe. Unfortunately this time it is wearing out and needs replacement of furniture and other replacement.

Check in was easy. The room was a bit dated, but seemed fairly clean. The bed was rather uncomfortable and sheets were scratchy. Water pressure was lacking in the shower and sink. It was nice that the window opened, but I couldn't keep it open and let air in because there was no screen and bugs were coming in. Breakfast was decent.

Re AC, we did have to change our room #303 as there was a continuous equipment hum, the maintenance and us determine it was from the roof possibly a condenser as it was all of the time. Staff nicely we changed us to a nice room on the 2nd floor. Nice & quiet!!! thank you!!

Exactly what I was looking for - conveniently located off an interstate for a trip that required a lot of SoCal driving, decent included breakfast, very clean, comfortable, safe, not unreasonably priced.. Would recommend & stay again! Could use more natural light and the room was a little stale smelling when you first walk in.

I felt welcomed. I am not used to it because of the way I look and they looked at me and treated me like a regular human being. Thank you so very much for that. I always make sure I make a big deal when other human beings are treating each other in a good way. The right way. Wonderful spot - clean with friendly service. Some updates need to be done, but they’ve done a good job keeping up. Stinky smell coming from sink drain, so maybe more regular maintenance is in order. Breakfast was great, although on the greasy side. A little more money put into the breakfast (keep water filled, better pastry options, higher quality ingredients) and it would be a perfect 10!

The inside of the both elevators had such a strange and unpleasant odor throughout our stay.

Love this Ayer’s. The location is convenient to the highway which makes it so easy to get to where you’re going. The property is very clean. The rooms are spacious. The bed and pillows are comfy. The full breakfast is good.

We’ve stayed here before a few times, property and location is excellent, needs to improve on welcoming customers, a lovely property in need of good maintenance, specially floors in bathroom space

I especially liked the quaint feeling and ambiance of the hotel. The location, eateries, and shopping were nearby and even walkable. I will definitely stay again.

Room was clean and quite but basic , breakfast was standard but it was complimentary with a lot of variety , I expected more welcome from staff not as I received , room service doesn't speak English with difficulty to communicate . anyway thank you for having us

Our stay was great with the exception of their breakfast. Room was clean, staff was friendly. The pool area was very nice for kids to swim.

All this, and no cookie-cutter art in sight! Rooms and public spaces are adorned with sailing photos personally connected to the company — beautiful and fitting, as the pride of ownership shines through in this really exceptionable hotel.

Great location for the wedding we attended. The hotel is quiet from the freeway noise definitely, but the ac was noisy and would wake me up each time it turned on. Breakfast was great!

It was a pleasure to stay there, staff were friendly from the front desk to the kitchen staff. The hot showers were the best and black out curtains made it exceptionally comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.

Near shopping centers

Really enjoyed the location, which is right off the freeway. Plus there were several stores nearby. Parking was a little tight but there were plenty of spots open towards the back of the hotel. Highly recommend!

Great location, friendly staff and full breakfast! We also loved the spacious rooms and the fact that the hotel had a hot tub.

Driven by this place for years visiting my grandmother at Leisure World, stayed for the first time recently. Staff was incredibly kind, breakfast was wonderful (much better than most hotel breakfasts), bed was comfortable, room was large, area was safe and quiet. Would definitely stay again

Check in is not until 4PM which is a problem for travellers who arrive earlier. I called the hotel several days before our scheduled arrival and asked for early check in at 2PM. I was told that would not be a problem. When I arrived, they indicated they had no rooms ready and I would need to wait. I waited in their lobby nearly 2 hours. When I checked with the front desk, they indicated the room was still not ready although is was now past 4PM. I pointed that out and they started calling housekeeping on the radio only to learn that several rooms they had in their system not ready were ready. The hotel staff should have asked housekeeping to get my room ready as soon as I showed up as they promised me early check in and they should be organized enough to know when rooms are being cleaned and can be released to guests. Instead, they did nothing to accomodate my needs while they watched be sit in their lobby for hours. In addition, the hotel has no restaurant or bar and the pool is pretty dinky. Finally, they are located right next to a major freeway that you do not see from any of the photos.

Great breakfast!

Hotel was great. Sheets were rough. Comforter had a blood stain. Tried to get a roll of toilet paper from front desk and housekeeping when we ran out with no luck. Finally found a housekeeper that would give us a roll. Other than those small things, we were very pleased with stay.

The Ayres was a beautiful, clean, qnd quiet hotel. We had a great time in the pool and enjoyed breakfast. My only complaint is that we stayed in a room with a king bed and pull out couch for my self, my spouse and our 2 children so we expected to be able to sleep on the pull out couch. Unfortunately when we opened the pull out there was no bedding on it and when we called to ask for bedding they said they couldn't give us any.

The front desk staff was super nice. The hotel was cleanand the beds were comfy. They also have breakfast included and free parking.The area is nice and convenient close to the freeway and a lot of fast food/restaurants nearby.

Stayed here with my family of four, including 2 young children. The grounds were well-kept, the rooms and amenities spotless, the customer service was friendly and professional and the breakfast was great. For a 3-star hotel in the Long Beach area, we were very impressed--excellent value for the price. Would gladly return.

Absolutely everything was perfect and the breakfast was wonderful, with a chef making things fresh right in front of us. Tremendous value for one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.

Property and rooms are gorgeous, need to upgrade the breakfast as food was cold, juices seemed watered down and paper plates may be convenient but it’s tough to eat a cold pancake off one of them.

I had a great experience at the Ayres Hotel Seal Beach. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was ample parking available. The location was perfect—central to both client meetings and personal errands. I also had a fun slumber party with my niece, which made the stay even more memorable. I’d definitely book here again!

I work in customer service and can vouch that a smile goes a long way. I received none of that from the hotel check-in person. She was not very friendly, helpful, and was somewhat dismissive when I questioned the rate (Hotel rate not Hotels.com rate). Even though there was no one in line, she asked me to leave the desk area and check online rates somewhere else. She was neither helpful or friendly. I will probably use another hotel when I go back to Seal Beach.

Given the worst room. Window is two feet from hot tub and staff unaccommodating.
