All good, annoying you have to show your room card to get into the hotel area when you’re hands are full, maybe put a table by the entrance so you don’t have to put your belongings on the floor to get your room key out of your pocket

Pool area (bigger side) service was horrible, seems like they didn’t like to work, we ask questions about the food and drink menu and not very helpful, responded in a rude manner. The smaller pool side was great, Luis a great bartender and staff around him were nice too. Better food options as well.

Casino was fun. Pools were amazing. Drinks are on the expensive side but the pina coladas are yummy 😋. I loved the fig resteraunt was 24 hours. Small fridge in the room is stocked with water bottles for free daily.

The room was amazing….clean, well-appointed. The staff was too-notch! Everywhere I went, everyone was friendly, had a smile on their face and were helpful!!

The casino resort was very clean, had great food and both the adult pool and family pool were nice with plenty of seating. Old Town Scottsdale was great fun - when to Patties bar and The Rusty Spur. The trip was late May and temps were already very high so could not really exercise or hike outside. Would be nice to have an indoor or covered pickleball court. Maybe the parking lots are full during the high season, but most were empty when we were there, leaving plenty of room for pickleball! Other than that suggestion, the place was fantastic.

Horrible customer service !!! Changed the price of my stay!!! Wouldn't change rate even after the mistake happened and pointed out at 29 min check in!!!!!! AWFUL VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WHOLE STAY...BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS WITH RATES!!!!!!! SHAME ON RESERVATION!!!

The room was immaculate and the staff super helpful. The main pool wasn’t very clean. There was trash in the pool, like napkins and straws. The west pool was a million times better, just wish we had discovered it first! The restaurant we ate at was good, albeit service was a little slow. Overall, it was great for a one night stay!

Very Nice really enjoyed!

All I have to say is everything was fantastic and a very memorable stay. One more thing, you have to stay longer than 2 days we stayed 2 days and I don’t even think we got to enjoy more than half of what was available and we were more than busy and having fun day and night. Thank you Talking Stick ❤️

Room was comfortable. Restaurants were just ok. Room was clean but blinds are worn out kept falling open. It’s seen better days but not terrible.

This is a very well maintained and operated resort. All of the amenities were useful and contributed to a positive experience. The restaurants were a touch out of my price range, but it was nice to have the food choices at the pool as something a little more affordable. I also loved how it was located close to most of the things that we wanted to do offsite, all in all I will be back to stay at The Talking Stick!

Amazing is truly an understatement for this resort!

Property itself was great. Employees not so much. Some of the staff was incredibly rude when asking for directions. Then the front desk calling at 9am waking us up for no reason other than to fix a billing issue that would’ve gotten resolved at check out an hour and a half later. Will not be back.

Would of loved to use the pools but the main and sitting pools had trash floating and dead bugs, all 3 days we stayed

There are better staycations for the money! Pool was not clean… won’t be back except to golf.

I enjoyed my stay, very clean, well maintained. Rooms were big and spacious, the square footage was more than enough for 2 of us to spread out comfortably. The sunrise pool is open 24 hours, and the sunset pool till 10pm. Which was a plus after traveling all day to the canyons, because the pools are beautiful and we wanted to enjoy them before we left. You have to pay for the infinity pools though. Ocean Trail creole food was delicious, biscuits so good. Don't bother with the steak house. The aesthetics is there however menu was subpar. I didn't get to get a massage, sorry I missed that. I don't gamble but the casino was always active no matter the what time of day.

Clean room, staff was very nice and professional.

The room was overpriced with extra resort fees. The room had bugs in it, there was hair everywhere. Parking is a nightmare to deal with. Way less than expected from the last time I stayed there. Hotel host were less than receptive to concerns.

I enjoyed my stay and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. It was a clean and upscale location and every staff member I encounter was polite and professional.

We really loved our room, the view was beautiful and even though the hotel is quite lively we found it quiet in our room. Tash was excellent, we loved our dinner there. My only complaint is the main pool. It was pretty dirty and the drink service was quite slow. But we still had fun, the DJ on Saturday played some good tunes. Oh and the room service coffee was so delicious. Would definitely stay again!

We had a staycation at Talking Stick. We found the property beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay. The Casino was smoke free and there were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We will definitely book Talking Stick again.

As for the casino, I heard many guests commenting that the slot machines rarely paid out. While I understand that gambling is based on luck, the overall perception among many people I spoke with was that the machines were not very rewarding. Overall, the property was clean, but there is room for improvement in housekeeping attention to detail and in the overall casino experience.

This is a fabulous hotel/casino. We really appreciate the fact that is totally smoke free! The food is great and fairly priced. We even had some good luck in the casino. We have no reason to ever go back to Las Vegas.

Talking Stick was a great stay highly recommend to anyone staying in Phoenix.

Rooms were super clean! We love how spacious it was and how everything was ready for us to arrive. The staff at check in were great! Friendly with giving us instructions and checking in was super easy. The hotel smelled great, and great! We did get to enjoy the pool from the amenities and it was awesome. Definitely will come back and stay here in the future!

Great location, beautiful place

Overall had a blast. 2nd time visiting Arizona.

We weren’t there for the casino but the hotel was lots of fun. The pools are terrific. And having a bar at the pool was an added touch of luxury. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views and the birds. The room was spacious and super clean. The food we had at the hotel was very good and the servers attentive.

Husband and I enjoyed our stay! Did a 2 day trip, while we didn’t win anything at the casino the amenities were amazing. We had a pool day, where they serve drinks poolside. The room was excellent and had a great view. The orange sky restaurant on the 15th floor was our absolute favorite! Best meal I think we’ve ever had, highly recommend but make sure you have a reservation.

Talking Stick Is Everything!! If you want a couples get away or a family vacation it’s the perfect place. Plenty of entertainment In & around Resort. Top Golf, Aquarium, food, shopping plaza. But the check in so easy & the staff is Great room service, valet, bellhops & etc great food/restaurants. If we’re ever In the Phoenix/Scottsdale area this will be where we stay every time. Made my 40th Birthday Trip Amazing

Everything was great!

The room had terrible lighting. The bathroom lights were way to dull, couldn’t see to put on makeup that well. The door to the bathroom did not close well and the fan hardly worked.

Looked brand new! Only request is the music at the pool was angled so it was blaring right at the pool chairs - no one was sitting in front of the huge speakers which was prime pool sunning but Way Too Loud!

The Resort is close by everything but one really don't even need to leave.

Great trip! Everyday was a blast. My only opinion is, I wish they had free breakfast or at least a buffet. They also charge for drinks while you play the casino games. Just be prepared to spend a lot of money.

We like the place very clean and Resterant’s are great. Need to improve staff covering pools and maybe update main pool. West pool is excellent. Charging extra money to check in 30 minutes early is a not very classy. Also buy some drinks for gamblers.

Staff at check-in are accommodating and pleasant. The room is clean and beautiful with impeccable bathroom. The sheets are smooth and soft except for the bed that has a sink-in feel. There are plenty of places to eat and parking isn’t a problem. Over-all, we will come back and it is recommendable.

This place is amazing I try and stay there at least 2-3 times every summer. The new pool they added last year is so beautiful and kid friendly we love it.

The resort was amazing. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the gaming was extremely fun. My wife and I had the most fun we've had on vacation in a long time. The only disappointment was that the blackjack tables were not in use during our stay. We were so looking forward to playing blackjack. Otherwise it was an amazing experience.

The only regret I have is that we only stayed for one night! The staff and amenities were top notch! Our room? Absolutely beautiful! Will definitely visit again!

The resort itself is really beautiful—luxury rooms, a nice pool area, and a fantastic golf course. Just a heads-up, though: it's a lively and busy casino that tends to draw a lot of locals, so it doesn't quite give off that quiet resort vibe. We only stayed for one night (Friday), and the casino was packed! It was so crowded that we decided not to even attempt to brave the crowd. Instead, we hung out at the rooftop restaurant and in our room, which felt more relaxed and resort-like. Overall, it was a good stay, just pretty busy!

Not a family resort or suitable for kids to be around. The entrance to hotel is through casino asked many times for guidance where the hotel entrance is but all garage entrance brought you to casino. I would recommend for couples but definitely not a place to bring your kids to where there are all kinds of people staring at them and making kids uncomfortable.

The stay was great and room was clean and orderly. The large pool area was out right disgusting, the pool has debri, trash and plastic straws inside the pool and a build up of scum floating on the surface. I was there for 4 days and it wasn’t cleaned once. The pool chairs and tables and bird poop and and other sticky things all over it, it’s a true travesty.The other pool was very nicely maintained and was beautiful. The staff and entire hotel/ casino grounds were great aside from that one pool which was the largest.

up in the middle of the night. I had a burger, fries and a small dessert. Mostly burger came up but the fries I think were cooked in old grease. Idk, but I would advise caution. The second day I was out most of the time and eat somewhere else but a few friends came out and we gambled for a bit, having a great time, until the dealer tried to cheat us out our winnings in roulette. We all went all in and won, and he whipped the chips away like we did not. We had to call over the manager and they offered us our winnings. The problem was, I was the only one who remembered how much I bet. My friends did not and they did not offer to check cameras! In what world does that happen if the casino is not cheating! What dealer does that and what manger just acts like it’s no big deal? After that we were pretty much done on gambling. I went to the jacuzzi that night and the chlorine was so strong my eyes watered and my skin itch. Overall I’d rate my experience low, first and last time going there.

There were many ammenities to enjoy on-site, and the room was both large and clean. We particularly enjoyed the West Pool during the daytime - great service, drinks, and food which was offered all throughout the day. 10/10 experience. I recommend visiting this resort!

I love how everybody was friendly and willing to help if I had any questions I where they’d recommend me to eat or which side of the floor I should play on. It was fun. Had a great time. I only wish the servers on the floor would come around more often.

No breakfast was offered, the resort charged extra for just using the pool etc. The golf course also added an extra charge for using the course as well; so, we ended up having to pay twice in resort fees. It was not worth the cost, and we would not recommend staying there. Gainey Ranch was much nicer and cost less.

I stayed at the talking sticks before, but this time was not so great. Me and my sister stayed Mother’s Day weekend. The room was clean, but the refrigerator did not work as well as there was a lipstick or makeup stain on one of the beds. Also, when we went down to the pool area, there was a dark ring around the pool and it got on my bikini top and destroyed it. The staff were amazing as always. Just wasn’t the experience that I’m used to from the talking sticks.

For a casino this property was very well maintained and clean.

Had a little staycation. From the front desk staff, to the bar staff and restaurant server, every employee I engaged was friendly, hospitable and professional. Stayed in an Executive Room suite and the cleanliness was outstanding. Dinner at Tash was perfect! Had a great time!

The front desk staff was awesome! Just so nice, polite and super helpful. Even the gift shop attendants were fantastic.

That said, the stay itself was enjoyable, and the views from our room were absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of the trip. Overall, while the property and scenery were beautiful, the service experience felt inconsistent and could have been more welcoming throughout our visit.

Great place to stay, however our room was above the restaurant exhaust fan, it smelled good but was very loud when we sat on the balcony!

Our room was extremely clean, quiet, and spacious. I love that there were so many places around the property to lounge around. They have great patios. I don’t gamble, but my sister did. She won a few times playing Three Card Poker. I love that parking was free. All the employees we came in contact with were friendly & helpful. I have no complaints.

Casino and hotel were both very clean. Staff was very personable and courteous. Spa was great, enjoyed a massage and facial! The West Pool needed to be cleaned as lots of little gnats, birds poo, and clumps of hair floating around. Stay away from the Blue Coyote Cantina. Food was very mediocre. Everywhere else the food was pretty good!

Everything about the resort was excellent. Extremely, well maintained and clean. The rooms were nice and tide, showers was pretty good as well. Very quick service in checking in and also the dinning side. Employees were all helpful and looked happy which means they enjoy what they do. Thanks for anothet wonderful experience.

The hotel spa is relaxing. Moon is a fantastic massage therapist, and her cupping technique was amazing. The resort charges random fees, like a $25 resort fee (for water and coffee in the room, which is ridiculous). The Spa automatically adds a 20% gratuity to your bill, plus a $7 service fee. I would not stay here again because of all the random fees the resort adds on - completely unnecessary, and the restaurants are over-priced.

Everything was amazing from the room, the view, the amenities and casino. I just wish the restaurants on site had more variety in what food they offer. The main pool was closed our entire stay but the west pool was amazing. Would definitely come back.

Not much to do on site besides gamble. If you are there for the pool bars and service closes at 5pm and you have to walk out of the pool area to get your own drinks and food. Also the pool prices are very pricey.

Talking Stick Resort exceeded every expectation we had. They were able to accommodate all of my special requests and gave us one of the best rooms with absolutely incredible views. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, professional, and very timely with every request we had throughout our stay. The entire resort was clean, well maintained, and had amazing restaurants on site. Overall, it was honestly a 10/10 experience from beginning to end and we can’t wait to come back!

My wife and i enjoyed our stay at talking stick resort only bad thing they closed the pool for remodeling while we were there but everything else was great well maintenance and clean.

Clean, nice newer pool, bar at pool, housekeeping were very responsive with needs, staff in general very nice and welcoming and the complementary valet was wonderful and the spa was amazing best facial I’ve ever had.

This was my 3rd time staying here and the place overall was as good as expected. The new pool area was a great addition as it wasn’t there on my previous stays. Onsite food and beverages checked all the boxes. The only downside was that the main pool was closed for scheduled maintenance on our last day and a half. I would have thought Expedia would have informed us of this closure and provided options such as a reduced rate for the last night, a resort credit or something along those lines.

The staff were patient and very helpful. The rooms were nice and clean, kept the noise away. The food was good.

The room was nice and updated. Shower and bed were great. The concierge woman was sub par, did not want to answer any questions and just handed me a piece of paper. The pool was extremely dirty, to where I almost didn’t want to get in it. The DJ tried to pump up the place but honestly it needs an overhaul. Maintenance staff, check in was all good.

Other than that, the pool areas are great! The Vet discounts are much appreciated! Blue Coyote has awesome breakfasts thats reasonably priced! The showroom and grand ballroom are relatively small, providing the concert experience up close and personal. Rooms are nice! Enjoy Pete’s coffee pods and real coffee mugs, only issue is the shutters Let a lot of light through when closed, causing a somewhat rude awakening after a good night out.

They would not accommodate late checkout on a Monday and one of the two pools was entirely closed for renovations.

tried to arrange early check in. told maybe, and could cost $20. no big deal. got to property early (1pm) for spa day. no early check in. in fact, room not ready until 5:30pm. tried to check in at 4pm, provided ID and credit card (completed the process) and was told I'd get a text when room was ready. got the text. went to front desk. got hassled. refused to provide my credit card again. manager intervened. room key provided.

We really enjoyed our first staycation at Talking Sticks resort. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The walk-in shower had a rain faucet in the ceiling that could have been larger but it was adequate. We really enjoyed the view from our balcony. We will definitely be back here sometime soon.

My wife really enjoyed the different pools. The cold water pool with the sun out. And the west pool had some shade to enjoy also. The patio was nice on the 2nd floor to view the west and enjoy coffee in the morning.

Staff was no help when I asked for the correct room and refused to provide any amenities or assistance when I asked. Similarly, Expedia was no help when I asked for their assistance. I checked out after one night and will take my business elsewhere in the future where my business is appreciated.

The staff lied about the pool being open, we would've never booked the stay if we knew the pool was actually going to be closed. Even after asking the staff told us the hours would change to ten pm but not be closed completely.

The Black Fig was a great place to get food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Quick and inexpensive compared to the others sit downs available.

We were upgraded to a suite by Expedia which was a big bonus. Our room was quiet despite the busy and crowded casino. The breakfast service at the cafe was very slow but the dinner at Tash Restaurant was quick, food and services were excellent.

Stopped by on a weekday, enjoyed the beautiful pools and our beautiful room. Played a few rounds, overall a great stay. Waymo picks up not far from the front door (like 1 min walk). Very nice!

As soon I checked in Knowing i'm not from Arizona and me being above the age 25+ to come find out during my last DAY that my id was valid and since im not from Arizona my ID still qualified for me to drink and go to Casino. So most of days I didn't even chill at the resort I spent my money on different resort spots and food spots and connected with natives and told me that they cant do that.

Room was clean and spacoius. The staff were nice but could have been a bit more informative for a new customer. Drinks were good. The Coyote Cafe was great. Liz was the best waiter! We had some mishaps with the spa staff but the massage was excellent. The Orange Sky was perfect. Great staff and food. Overall I had a fun and easy short stay and will be back.

Wow!!! So blown away by our room !!!!! Liz down at the Blue Coyote Cafe for breakfast this morning was so great! The pool area is a little dated however I would still stay here!!!! The amenities are awesome! We did a day trip to Sedona and coming back to the jacuzzi at night was so great! We stayed on the top floor C2 and the views are breathtaking!!!!!

First, let me review the resort itself. We stayed in a Club level room. The room was very spacious with two super comfortable queen beds. We slept better than we have in months! The bathroom was large with a wonderful shower! There is a coffee maker and a small fridge. The best part of our room was the floor to ceiling windows where we could watch the sun set over the mountains…. Breathtaking! We loved relaxing by the pools on the chaise lounges and enjoying an afternoon cocktail. There was a full bar where you could also order food. The West Pool is smaller but much fancier with a beautiful larger bar! We enjoyed all of the restaurants at the resort. Orange Sky was where we celebrated our 49th Wedding Anniversary! The food was top notch as was the service! Be sure to make a reservation for the sunset hour and prepare to be WOWED! We ate several meals at the bar at the Blue Coyote Cantina! The bartender, Natasha, was fantastic, recommending dishes that we could easily share! Tash is also great! We took easy day trips to Sedona, Jerome, Flagstaff, Montezuma’s Castle, and Old Town Scottsdale. All staff were wonderful! Casino is fun! Recommend highly! We are active ‘young’ 70 year olds!

A combo casino, hotel, and show venue was what I booked to see a comedian I enjoy. The show ticket price was fine, so my elderly sister and I booked a room there so as not to have to leave after the show to travel to a different hotel for the night. We played slots in the casino while waiting for our room to be ready, and that was fun. The hotel was overpriced (almost $500/night for 2 queen beds) and the venues were too spread out for my seventy-year-old sister and me to take full advantage of. We asked for an early check-in after arriving late AM and paid $20 to get in only one hour early, so not worth it. The room was a far walk at the end of a long hallway without a bench to rest on, so instead of eating in one of the several restaurants, we had room service. Overall, not worth the money.

It was fine—quiet for a casino but we really needed just a ½ hr late checkout and they not only wouldn’t do it ( which I have NEVER encountered) but were so rude about it. Also when we needed to extend our stay (our granddaughter was a little overdue) they didn’t really make an effort to find another room for us. We ended up checking out and moving to the Marriott old town which was lovely. But everyone at the front desk was friendly other than that

The toilet was SO LOUD when flushed. It literally would wake us up in the middle of the night if the other person used the restroom. The shower handle came off when we turned it. Check-in was sort of a hassle as well. And the jacuzzi was really dirty. To be honest I’m surprised at these things for how much the rooms cost. $300/night 😬

we ate at three different restaurants while there and each was so very good. Ranging from $15 per person to $80 per person. Great options. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were great with a good size tub and a separate stand up shower. Only downside of the room is the sliding barn door style bathroom door that didn't latch shut. We also very much enjoyed the pool with an outdoor bar for drinks and could order food. We also saw a show there that was really fun.

Right after checking in, a security officer approached me and said I had triggered a “weapons alarm.” I was told I needed to come with her immediately for my belongings to be searched, and that if I refused, we would be asked to leave the property. This was humiliating, especially being escorted publicly to the security area. They used a wand and nothing went off. The only item in question was a decorative backdrop my husband brought to surprise me and decorate the room for my birthday. Once we showed it, we were dismissed without any real explanation. Later that same night at the Palo Verde Lounge, we noticed security standing nearby watching us closely while speaking into an earpiece, which made us feel uneasy and monitored for the remainder of the weekend. I shared this experience in a feedback email on January 5th, 2026, and received only a brief response from Kyung Yoon stating that the situation would be “shared with the team,” along with a general apology. Unfortunately, no meaningful effort was made to address what happened or attempt to rectify how deeply this impacted our stay. I understand the need for safety measures, but the lack of discretion, communication, and follow-up completely overshadowed what was meant to be a special birthday celebration. Obviously its amazing having several fantastic restaurants, and fun casino games all round! But besides that the room was beautiful, the view was stunning and the sunrise breathtaking. Very elegant rooms, would stay here again for sure. Only downside is the television doesnt happen any video apps, no Youtube, no netflix, prime, hulu. Nothing but very expensive movies you have to buy, and a few satellite channels.

Finding the front desk was difficult- no clear signage, making you walk back and forth through the casino. Parking for hotel guests was hard to find in the evening due to casino goers- especially during the weekends.

Plane was delayed. I called the front desk 4 times to tell them we would be late. They said if I wasn't there by 3 am, I would lose the room. I paid for this room ahead of time. When you rent a room you have it until check out time, which is 11 am. Will never stay here again.

Safety is an issue in this establishment. The clientele from the casino is very sketchy. Someone tried to break into our room in the middle of the night. It’s a shame because otherwise it’s a nice place with great pools, food, clean rooms etc.

Checked in on Christmas Day, check in was smooth and the gal was very friendly and welcoming. We left our bags with the bellhop on our way to dinner and when we got back to the room and called to have them brought up, they were delivered within a couple of minutes. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was amazing and overall we had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Room service was solid, and while they used multigrain bread instead of white, I didn’t ask to switch, so no complaints there. The $25 beverage credit was a nice extra even though I didn’t use it. Only a few minor downsides. Apple Pay wasn’t accepted at check-in for incidentals, so I had to use a different card since I didn’t have the physical one I wanted to use. The bathroom had a sliding door, not a full close-off, and there was no fan or white noise option for added privacy. When checking out, I followed the instructions to do so via the TV, but it gave me an error. I dropped off my key cards and later called in just to make sure I wasn’t charged, which added a little stress to an otherwise smooth stay. Still, I would definitely return. The hotel is beautiful, the staff were kind, and the vibe was relaxing. Just a few things to be aware of for next time.

Booked two rooms through hotels.com. The hotel upgraded us to a fabulous suite with two bedrooms and an outdoor patio. It was the 23rd and 24th of December. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, the rooms were gorgeous and we had a lovely time. The only thing that could have been better was our luck at the craps table!

Immediately upon entering the property I was amazed by the cleanliness of a casino without the overpowering stench of cigarette smoke. This place was spotless from top to bottom. The room I booked was on the C1 club level and it had a great view of the pool and the open land around the property. The entire area was spotless yet again and having both a rainfall shower and a separate tub was nice. There were plenty of places to grab a drink or a quick bit but that number pales in comparison to the more than adequate free parking. This resort with a casino attached was a great stay and I look forward to returning.

I was pleasantly surprised by this resort. I was asked to attend a friend’s graduation so I searched for a hotel in the area and found a great deal at Talking Stick. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of amenities. The staff everywhere I went were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this resort if you are looking for a hotel in a convenient location and that has a casino on site.

First time at Talking Stick to see LeAnn Rimes concert. It is really a beautiful facility. The casino and restaurants are surrounded by high tech videos. Our Executive Room was reasonably priced, very large and had great views from two sides. The best part though were the restaurants/bars and staff. Everyone seems to enjoy their job and love to interact with customers. This was like a Las Vegas experience at half the price. This is definitely a go to place now for us as we live in Yuma, about 3 hrs. drive.

I felt like the outdoor furniture could have been a little cleaner. It was full of bird poop so we didn’t sit out there. Everything else was great.
