All of the staff from check in to valet to bartending were awesome!

Beautiful property If you opt to park your own car there is no luggage cart for assisting with moving personal items to the room and many of the rooms are not close to the parking area room so it was very very difficult for us. We will not stay here again unless we can get a room near the parking area.

The pool is tops and the room overlooking the pool was great

Rooms were great. Having a split bedroom living room layout is perfect. Everything was clean and tidy, staff was friendly and inviting come over all great place

Also is ridiculous to have to pay 22 dollars per night to park a motorcycle overnight it’s mandatory no self free parking! You are forced to pay pretty much cause there are not other choices close by! Never again!

I liked the neighborhood and felt extremely safe. The service was excellent and very friendly. The grounds were also nicely laid out, and the pool was beautiful. But the property was a bit outdated. Clean, but not remodeled any time recently. I was also upset that there were no microwaves in the rooms. And you do hear quite a bit of plane noise, as it's in a flight path.

This is my third stay here and from the front desk to the Valet team they are the kindest most accommodating people. This is my place to stay in Scottsdale!

Only a few lil hiccups like our room keys only worked intermittently and the paid parking (which is ridiculous at 20 bucks a day) didn’t work consistently and having children in the hotub doesn’t exactly spell relaxation especially the diapered ones! Yes we are that old!

Excellent hotel and near everything to do in PHX. Spacious rooms, GREAT food at the onsite restaurant, very accommodating staff. This will be out "go to" hotel in Scottsdale!

The staff is exceptional. Everyone from valet, bell staff to front desk! The rooms appear clean with some exceptions but so old and dated. Elevator in back not working. The sofa was filthy. Arms brown from dirt and use.

Also we were there only 2 nights and they skipped cleaning the one night so no clean towels and they didn’t replenish the coffee. Plus there was some other person’s underwear under the bed.

The hotel needs to be completely remodeled, including the pool area.

Really nice stay at this hotel. The staff we amazing, especially Charles the doorman. Very welcoming. The food was good for breakfast at the restaurant and the location was convenient with a courtesy shuttle to our event at Westworld. Rooms were well laid out and beds comfortable.

So I was really put off by the price of things at the hotel. First of all it was $1300 for four days and then on top of you have the nerve to charge for internet access???? Seriously what a rip off! There were NO USB-C outlets. The prices at the restaurant were ridiculous. Outrageously high. For that kind of price I expected so much more. Very disappointed.

Very nice room, bed was excellent, pillows as well, slept very well. Nice that we were able to shut out all of the light, with the heavy drapes in the bedroom as well as the living area. Fitness room was great, didn't try the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Quick stay. I thought it would be a little more updated. The night server was barely interested in serving us. I don’t know if she was really busy or where she would go. I think for the price it would be a little nicer in the rooms.

Rooms are outdated. Carpet stained. Pool area also outdated and needs repair to cooldeck. Elevators outdated and so hot. Lobby of elevators also hot. Set at 83 degrees.

Charles greeted us at the valet stand and thus began our awesome experience with the staff at Scottsdale Marriott at Mcdowell Mountain. He directed us to check-in and we were greeted by a smiling young lady named Morgan. We we're a little early but our room was ready and she quickly got us checked in. Room was spacious. We got changed and headed to the pool. The pool needed a quick skim but it wasnt enough that we didnt enjoy it. We headed up to the restaurant/bar to grab a quick snack. Ordered drinks and chips, salsa& guac.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Suite is dated and sofa seemed to be past its lifetime expectancy. Room a little smelly at the doorway. Food at cafe is good and very conveniently located near lobby. Coffee good.

I thought the staff at this hotel were excellent and it was located in an area with easy access to the highway. The property itself is in need of some renovation and comes across as a little dated. A good value though.

The property is beginning to show signs of aging. Great staff and service done the Marriott way.

The property works well but it’s old. The AC units in the suites are loud and noisy. Old equipment. I wasn’t able to sleep. It woke me up every time it went on. I felt so groggy and tired the whole time I was there

Staff were great. Property ok. I am confused on the additional charges when this was prepaid through Expedia booking. A $30 resort credit seems to have found me just once. I was given a ticket for self parking, assuming that was included, looks like I was charged a daily rate for self park. The Dest Fee...what is this? Disappointing.

Property is centrally located to all of Scottsdale 5-star eateries.

The staff were friendly. From the Valets to the front desk and cleaning staff. Everyone professional. However, my stay was in the West wing Garden area near the fitness center. Every time I walked that hallway, it stank with the smell of marijuana. Disgusting stench. I hated the location of that area for self parking and convenience. Try to get a different area of the hotel closer to the main desk. They said they couldn’t accommodate my request for a golf course view room. Disappointing.

We had several rooms booked for a family wedding. Everyone had great things to say about the property. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful with excellent service at a reasonable price. Perfect!

the room is freezing cold and the staff could not turn off the fan and the ac . i ended up sleeping in my tesla Y with the back seats down , It was a terrible stay . I understood why their AC are On full speed but someone like me preferred the natural air and heat. Should have the option to turn off the fan and AC and sleep with the window slighly opened. I discovered the handiness of the hatch back Tesla Y. I was there for a professional seminar on Saturday morning and needed a good night sleep . Sleeping in the Tesla was OK, for sure much better than the freezing cold room at the Marriottt,

The accessible room we had needed anew refrigerator to be brought to us since the one in room was not working. Also I went down to front desk 3 times because my entry card for the room was not working. The lock on the door of room had to be replaced. No microwave in the room, so requested for one to be brought since by then food from hotel restaurant was cold from not being able to get into room . Then toilet was so slow to flush that contents were not being flushed away and I was not wanting to continue flushing in case of overflow. Upon check in, I was told that there is a parking fee but since I was driving a rented accessible van, fee would be waived and was handed a pass with barcode to scan in order to enter hotel parking lot. This worked only for day of check in since the next evening returning from the wedding we attended, the barcode did not work. I went to front desk to ask- was told only for first day. I was LIVID- since I was under impression parking fee was being waived for entire stay. In addition, all the room problems endured and the fact that $30 destination fee per night was an added charge above the room rate. What was destination fee for? No microwave and parking fees ???? Never stay there again!!!!

Smoke alarm went off two nights in a row at 3 am. The hotel is dated and carpets dirty. It’s about a decade overdue for a thorough cleaning or remodel.

Very friendly team. Food at restaurant was excellent. Hotel transportation will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. That’s nice.Tip them for what you’d expect to pay for an Uber ride. They really appreciate it. Perhaps my main complaint, which is why they didn’t get a 5-star from me is the smell of the room. A slight musty order when I first walk in. A smell of perhaps a past water damage to the room. I wouldn’t expect all rooms to smell that way, but mine did. I didn’t complain about it which I think they would have been very willing to change me to another room had I said something.

This hotel is getting a little tired. We couldn’t use our balcony or the outside lounge because of bird crap on the chairs. It is in the landing pattern for Scottsdale Air Park so there is constant air traffic overhead. I don’t know why there were so many people flying in to Scottsdale at 5:00 am! The staff was super nice and accommodating. It is very clean and smells amazing, I was just a little disappointed that it wasn’t a little nicer for the area it is in.

The room I booked states it has an outdoor area or balcony upon arrival I did not have a balcony or outdoor area though it’s stated clear as mud in Description… apparently what you book and pay for when searching for specific criteria is never guaranteed… always scamming disclaimers in this messed up world of dishonesty and theft.

Beautiful hotel, amenities were great, pool is fantastic and the dining food excellent. Only fault is you have to pay extra to park your vehicle, must be an AZ thing...

Drink/alcohol choices at the bar were it amazing for the price. Beer taps not working so they should update their menu. No tap beers.

Very comfortable stay and accommodating staff.

The facility & the staff were very nice. But for the price, we expected more. Only 1 of our room keys would ever work in our door. When trying to leave with our car, the ticket they gave us to scan to raise the gate wouldn't work, so we had to walk up to the front desk twice before we could get our car out. There was no complimentary coffee in the lobby. We were told that there was a shuttle to take us to Barrett Jackson, then we were told that we should just call an uber. There was no hot water in the shower in the morning, cold shower was not fun.

Stayed for Thanksgiving holiday, had connecting rooms with the kids, great space for a 5 days and close to central Scottsdale to visit family and walk the TPC courses. Don’t miss Toro and family friendly Draft Kings restaurants.

Had to request alternate room due to temporary AC units outside initial room that was given which were very loud. Second room requested was much nicer and quiet. Staff was helpful with the request.

I had to leave and return several times as my husband was having a sleep study near by. The valets were amazing! Very accommodating. The second aff at front desk were also very helpful.

This is in a great area! The property is beautiful and the staff is amazingly friendly. My room lacked cleanliness though. Two big hair balls on the bathroom floor and blood down the toilet. I think it was just an oversight and hopefully a one off. The staff here are wonderful! It is outdated, but it is well kept throughout the property. The lobby scent is intense. Very male cologne vibes and it made me sneeze a few times, thankfully it did not make it's way into my room. The bed was very comfortable! I would stay here again.

This hotel was AMAZING! We enjoyed our stay, check in and out was super easy. The rooms were clean and spacious. Restaurant service was also great and the food was good. I really enjoyed my stay here. The only issue were planes leaving at 7am on the weekend and they're very loud.

We stayed because it was convenient to a funeral, but the staff, amenities, and restaurant turned the stay into an enjoyable respite.

I had already stayed in the hotel for two nights when the front desk called my room at nearly 11pm to say they needed me to come to the front desk immediately to provide them with a credit card. I had previously provided my ID and a credit card upon check in, but they said there was no such record. This is nonsense. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and every single one of them required a credit card just to check in. I will not be staying here again.

Horrible experience at hotel bar- lady bartender saw my wife and I sit at bar and helped 5 couples who stoped after us and never once acknowledged us- so we just left!

The property is gorgeous! We had a view of the mountains, courtyard and palm trees and the photos do not do this space justice. The suite was so roomy and the beds so comfortable. Breakfast was included with our package and it was the best hot breakfast option we’ve had at a hotel. The location is close to most of what we wanted to see in the area. All in all, can’t imagine staying elsewhere next time we are in town.

Good , pretty resort. perfect location close to almost everything you need. The only issue is it’s close to the airport so you do hear planes flying over every five minutes. Scenery and comfort are worth it to deal with the airplanes. Overall a great stay.

The concierge gentleman were wonderful that was about it. When I made my reservations I asked if a spa was available on sight and told no. Consequently I had to make spa services off property and then found out later there WAS spa services on sight. Also first hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the Scottsdale area that we had a cockroach in our bathroom. Yuk not a happy experience overall very disappointed

When we got to our from it smelled after settling in for a few min we realized that there were dirty socks in the room, that is why it smelled. Very inappropriate for what the room costs.

I was informed at ckeck-in that there would be no cleaning services? In a state where no one wears a mask, this is now a poor excuse not to provide service. There was not even a bottle of water in the room. The toiletry items offered are all unknown brands and not even the same line. There are the cheapest of the cheap! Finally, the hotel had no food service for lunch during the week! Almost 300 rooms and no food! The owner needs to get out of the hotel biz as he is ruining the Marriott name!
