Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests generally appreciate the convenient location, friendly staff, and reasonable value, but there are consistent complaints about maintenance issues, outdated rooms, and uncomfortable beds.

My only request is coffee in the room vs espresso

Cleaners were subpar but everything else was perfect

Loved the pool! I was attending for a conference so I didn’t get to do much else.

The staff was super polite and friendly. The resort itself was beautiful and very relaxing.

Beautiful place, great staff. So peaceful and quiet. Had an amazing stay!

HUGE cockaroach/water bug came out of the drain while I was showering within 30minutes of check in. Was not offered a new room, I had to ask and was only offered a room that was directly connected to the room I was staying in...didn't make sense to me. If the bugs are in the building then moving to another room in the same building does nothing. Front desk apparently never logged the incident. Day 2 I received a text asking about my stay and again reported the issue. This time was offered to downgrade. Not an option. This was a special anniversary trip. Lobby ran out of coffee by 8:30, had it advertised until 9am. Inquired and was told it would be refilled twice, but no one ever came. Ended up having to pay for a cup of coffee at the café. Not enough staff at the restaurant. Definitely order breakfast off the menu, not the continental breakfast, food kept running out.

Staff were excellent, awesome customer service, was able to rent bikes everyday I stayed. Very helpful staff. Peaceful relaxing place

The property is beautiful. We stayed in a two story queen villa. The villas have not been updated yet, but I believe it's in the plan. It is outdated, but still nice. The property grounds are very nice. The pool was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the DJ and our server Jeremy was great.
- 5/5
We had a two night staycation here and it was amazing! Beautiful grounds. Lots of pools and a pool bar. Attentive staff and helpful front desk. Happy hour with wine and snacks. A first class restaurant wi5 an amazing chef! Our villa was large and very clean and comfortable. We will look forward to returning.

Resort was wonderful and staff was super accommodating!

The location was perfect, close to shopping, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do while visiting Scottsdale. The resort had a fun, relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind and enjoy our vacation. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Scottsdale getaway! ☀️🌴🍹

Happy then happy now! Love family staycations!

The room we stayed in had plenty of space (2 story king). It had an older design however we were notified that they are upgrading. The property is very large. Main pool area nice however cabanas need misters and TVs. Our server Becca B was wonderful. She went out of her way to make us feel special.

The lighting was dim and not bright enough.

So the property itself is nice as it has great Mountain View’s etc But the rooms are outdated ! The staffs are rude and honestly it’s not luxury Infact most of your time will be spent outside because the rooms are so filthy ! They even have bicycles throughout the property that you can use to get around and the breakfast was great every morning. We even had a really nice dinner as well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. I will book again.

This is my favorite place! Breakfast was wonderful. We really miss the old menu though. Nothing the kids will eat at the new cantina. All in all the remodel looks great, just wish they kept the sports bar and menu it was a great place to chill.

Service was amazing. The entire property was clean and refreshing. Lovely stay!

Didn’t get the room I paid for. I paid for garden view and we had a parking lot view. Main pool closed on a Saturday for event. Staff not friendly or helpful. Would not recommend this place.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed staying at this resort. It was peaceful and spacious. I stayed in a villa. I really liked how large the rooms were and the patio area was nice. I brought my dog so the patio was nice to take my dog outside. The rooms were very clean. Even with being pet friendly the rooms did not have any pet oder. The resort is older but is well maintained. The pool area was clean. I saw in reviews people said the walls were thin and they cough hear people next door. I was worried about that but I did not have any issues with hearing my neighbors. I would definitely recommend this resort and if I’m back in the area in the future I would stay here again.

The property is marketed as a modern, boutique style hotel, and the photos really set that expectation. In reality the room felt much closer to a dated three star motel. It had a stale smell, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the furniture felt very outdated. Even small details like the threshold coming apart made the space feel poorly maintained. I don’t mind staying somewhere simple if that’s what’s clearly represented, but this felt misleading. I chose your hotel based on the impression of a more elevated, updated experience, and it just didn’t deliver that. I’d strongly encourage being more transparent with how the rooms are presented so future guests can make an informed decision.
- 1/5
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at before; had it been a lower price range, I would adjust my expectations accordingly. The interior spaces (lobby, rooms, bar) are beautifully designed. However, most of the interactions I had with the staff were questionable at best. The pool was closed “for cleaning” for most of the day on a Saturday but then I was told by the same staff member that it was closed for a “private event”. The pool was the main reason I selected this property, so that we’d be able to easily access it with our spa visit. Instead they sent us to the pool on the completely other side of the property, which looked like a sad motel pool, bathroom was filthy. There’s no QR code/menu/phone number listed anywhere at the sad motel pool to be able to place a food order, so you just have to navigate it from the hotel website with the restaurant menu; you have to call the front desk to get connected to in room dining). It seemed like the person taking my order had no idea where this pool was located & asked me where it was. By the time we had lugged all of our bags to the second flr, we come to find the room keys were never activated. The stay seemed to be looking up when we got some great cocktails from the main bar in the lobby, but then come to find out when the pool finally reopened from the“cleaning/private party”, it took 45 min to get our drinks from the pool bar and they were incorrect. It was clear our server completely forgot to place the order
- 4.5/5
Loved the many pools. It was nice to be able to bounce around to different areas, and there were a decent amount of loungers available. The main pool was closed for a private event on our one full day there, so it would have been nice to be given a heads up about that. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 8am to service the room, and we told them to come back later. They knocked again right at 9am. So much for sleeping in uninterrupted during vacation.

Breakfast was not good, food expensive at dinner for what it was.

Our room #5008 is desperately in need of remodeling. It looked like you were stepping back into decor of the 70’s. Lamp shades were cracked, old outlets inadequate, furniture scratched, etc. new blow driers were in each bathroom, but couldn’t be used. We had to use the outlet by the micro wave, and espresso machine. Very inconvenient!
- 4/5
We had a nice stay at the resort . Everyone was pleasant and helpful . We stayed in a villa which was nice however very dated . We liked that it had 2 bathrooms and outdoor seating which was semi private . The living room furniture felt old and definitely dated . Although the room was cleaned it somehow had the feeling of dusty and old . It was uncomfortable . The refrigerator was very small which was very inconvenient . We never had the proper amount of coffee that was supposed to be provided for the small coffee maker in the room . No laundry facilities anywhere onsite . We have stayed in many upscale resorts and have had these available . We like to go home with our clothing clean . It’s not a deal breaker . The pools were really nice . The pool bar by the villas was not available or up and running so to speak which was very inconvenient . If you want convenience of a bar you need to walk over to one of the two available near the other 2 pools . FYI no do not disturb signs on the villa doors available and the house keeper walked in one day after knocking but we were upstairs and my husband told her we were still there and towels were all that we needed . She was pleasant and polite . I know the resort is undergoing renovation and I hope there are upgrades to the villas and villa pool area . I honestly think we would choose a different resort in the area next time . This is no reflection on the staff or hospitality . Expensive lacking amenities .

Property needs the rooms updated by courtyard pools. Once those rooms are updated this resort will be top notch food still great but bathrooms rooms need updated asap! Outdated rooms at courtyard pool, no room service lunch service to pools like the past and no van to old town like the Scottsdale Resort used to provide

Honestly we did not enjoy our stay. Upon checkin we were told no pool due to a private event. So we went to take out bicycles, all had flat tires or falling apart. We made it 3 minutes and it was unsafe, my handle bars were falling off. We went to the bar and was overcharged by a very rude bartender at the pool. When we asked an employee they said ohh there are 6 pools you can go to. And to top it off, our room smelled of mold and sewer, breakfast was terrible service and even worse food. Way overpriced and way underwhelming experience
- 3/5
Everything was average, Nothing special, nothing disasterous...Just kind of forgetable. The property is huge yet the landscaping is sparce and has no imagination. The HUGE parking lot area is the visual focal point of the resort & of ALL your trips back and forth to the pool, the restaurant, the casitas etc, and the parking lot is just as hot & ugly as any other industrial or office complex parking area. If that's not creatively hidden or blended into the overall asthetic design of the resort then the feeling travelers are left with will remain the same...Megh!

- 4/5
The establishment was very clean the pools were very clean there were several pools the rooms were clean the only complaint I have is too many kids making too much noise and nobody was paying attention to what they were doing and they were disrupting our quiet time the teenagers thought the pool was a football field or playground
- 3/5
Overall the property is beautiful and the staff is fabulous!
- 4/5
Great place to travel with young children! Main pool area is perfect for little kids (but also for adults). loved the pool bar & DJ. My room was kind of far from the main pool area & didn’t seem to be recently updated but it worked fine for us. Breakfast buffet was 10/10.
- 5/5
This property was exceptional prior to the renovations. It is now extraordinary. The property is stunning and the staff is beyond accommodating!
- 5/5
Beautiful newly remodeled hotel. Some parts were still being remodeled. But the rooms are villa style so very spaced out. I like that you can park your car right in front of your room. The pool is heated. Well staffed at the pool for drinks/ lunch. Feels like vacation.
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth. What really stood out was how genuinely pet-friendly the hotel is. We brought our dog, Storm, and she was not only allowed, but truly welcomed and greeted. The staff even took the time to inform us about the designated pet area, which made everything feel seamless and comfortable. Amanda at the front desk went above and beyond with her service. We arrived a bit early, and without hesitation, she provided us with access to the pool and gym, even personally showing me where the restroom was so I could change. She also offered a refreshing welcome drink, which was such a thoughtful touch after traveling. To top it off, she graciously extended a late checkout for us, making our stay even more relaxing and accommodating. Overall, this was an exceptional experience. The combination of a beautiful resort, outstanding service, and true pet-friendly hospitality made it a stay we won’t forget.

We had a great family stay over spring break. The resort is newly renovated with clean, modern finishes, and our double king room was very spacious. The six pools were a big reason we booked and they exceeded expectations. The location is also very convenient, close to Old Town Scottsdale and everything in the area. Would happily stay here again.

Room was decent but sleeper couch had stains and foul ordor. Housekeeper could use some tips when it comes to cleaning. Not the same food options we had 6 years ago. Someone charged food to room when we went to check out had bill for something we didnt order. Overall for the price paid not impressed.

Súper per- Friendly and the outdoor place is super big. Staff, was nice at the pool bar, but the from desk was not welcoming the guests. Room was clean at the time of arrival.

Beautiful room and property. Amazing staff!
- 4.5/5
Beautiful, quiet property, great updates to what has been done so far. The restaurant needs work on the menu and they need to change out the loung-y patio chairs. They are terrible and I witnessed multiple parties request not to sit at them because they sit way too low. Ok if you’re not trying to eat at a table, but this is the patio dining area. The intention was right, but the execution was all wrong.

Close to stores and down town Scottsdale. New pool upgrades make it relaxing. Bar is too small for people.

Great location. Great staff. Greeted by the valet with a cold hand towel on the hot day. Dogs welcome. Easy and complimentary self-parking near our room. We stayed in a king room on the 2nd floor on the courtyard side that faced the spa entrance. It was spacious, well-equipped and nice not to be on the parking lot side. The grounds are lovely with a small outdoor bar and seating area next to several shallow-ish pools. And the restaurant Hecho Libre is excellent. We ate there several times. We loved our stay at Miralina and hope to return next year for Spring Training.
- 5/5
Staff members were very friendly and helpful, Bar and Breakfast/Dinner selections were immaculate. Peaceful atmosphere with a large selection of amenities.
- 5/5
The stay was excellent. My wife and I stayed here from Friday night to Tuesday morning. The grounds and the landscaping were impeccable, especially walking at night around the property, the lighting and ambiance was refreshing and relaxing. The spa was great, we had hot stone massages, got manicure and pedicure, and my wife had her hair done. The room we stayed in was great, the bed was very comfortable, and they were very well maintained. The staff was incredible, and were eager to help, everyone from the bartender, host at Hecho, Front desk staff (all shifts). Special shout out to the front bell staff, from initial check-in with 100 degree heat they give you a cool towel with eucalyptus - amazing, they helped with luggage, drove us to our room in very nice golf cart, provided great conversation, and made excellent recommendations about the property amenities and local spots to visit. Would 100% recommend and next time I travel I will be back.
- 4/5
The villas are clean and spacious but outdated. I believe it’s probably worth to pay a bit more and get the renovated rooms which have a bit more modern vibe.
- 1.5/5
Outside us clean and fresh paint, Landscape was beautiful, pool areas were clean and nice. NEED a ADULT ONLY POOL Our room had, old, stinky furniture.. Curtains were old and nasty. I minute you open the door to the room it smells OLD. We have been here several times rooms never change, outdated and smell.
- 4/5
Great pools
- 4/5
The property itself was in great shape. We had one of the older rooms with a patio by the villa pool but it was great! Our only issue was a lunch we had at the restaurant that only had 3/4 tables with people and chicken fingers for the kids and a taco took roughly 1-1/2 hours. Come to find out the waitress laughed as she said our food went to the pool. We weren’t amused!
- 5/5
Beautiful decor, lobby, room furniture. Not crowded, open dinning areas, open areas to hang out. The pool bar and the couches to watch March madness. Staff of all departments were on point. Great customer service, very attentive. They took pride in their work. The breakfast buffet needs more attention. The food was dry, lacking variety and the breakfast muffins did weren’t labeled. Meaning, I saw nuts on some but not all so as someone with a specific nut allergy I would have liked it labeled to see which one I could eat. The orange was great!

This was a last minute book for a couple days in Phoenix area and then up to Flagstaff. It was an incredible trip, but the Kimpton stay was the highlight. They just remodeled and put us in a villa. It was a full bedroom bathroom, dining area and tv room with seating. The outdoor patio was beautifully designed and landscaped. Our unit also had a front gate and after opening it you could take 10 steps to another gate with one of who knows how many pools. They are everywhere. Great music plays throughout from pools. Ours was so nice we pretty much stayed in our area pool. The ones closer to the front look like a high end resort hotel. I really loved this spot
- 3/5
Lobby is pretty. Some rooms have been remodeled, but the Villa units are very outdated and walls are paper thin and fireplaces are out of service now. Pick an updated unit. It has about 5 small / medium size pools. It’s perfect if you have other places to be and things to do while in town for 3 nights. Free bikes are nice to ride through the pretty neighborhoods
- 2/5
Poorly remodeled, sloppy work, rooms are small. Felt like a 2 star hotel I would not recommend
- 3/5
It’s just not the most convenient place to stay.
- 3/5
Room did not have enough towels, when I called to ask if we could have our sheets replaced, they just brought the sheets for us to do the beds. There was a used wine glass that sat outside our door for the first 2 days. Pool opened at 7am, there were no pool towels until after 12:00.
- 4/5
Only one food option and it was very good but very expensive. We enjoyed our stay and overall a good experience. We’d go back again when less construction going on. It wasn’t a deal breaker but made parking difficult. Need more options for a quick snap or vending machines but that’s my opinion. Nice place
- 5/5
The new pool and pool bar were a great recent addition to the facilities.
- 5/5
Cannot praise the value of this property enough. Staff were exceedingly accommodating. Grounds were more than we could have hoped for. Property has a beautiful set up for relaxation or being social. Great location. I will absolutely be recommending it to anyone staying in the area.
- 4/5
Nicely remodeled hotel. Pool area is very nice, however loud music played is irritating. A couple of housekeeping glitches—one day the coffee was not replenished and washcloths were not provided. Another day the trash was not emptied. None of the problems were biggies but should not be part of an upscale hotel experience. Overall a very enjoyable place to stay in Scottsdale.
- 4/5
The cascita we stayed in was newly renovated, but had technical issues with the fire alarms. Our alarms went off three separate times during our four day stay - an automatic smoking fee was applied when they went off, but I was able to talk to the front desk and have it removed. Staff was overall wonderful - from front desk to pool staff. The pools themselves were gorgeous, though I would definitely recommend the main pool. If you’re hoping for a pool day with loungers I would recommend getting to the pool before 11a. The onsite restaurant was tasty and staff was very friendly. Overall - a great stay minus the technical issues with the fire alarm and the subsequent charges resulting from them.

Room was clean, well appointed and pretty quiet. The resort was beautiful, though still undergoing some reno. The property is older but they have done a good job giving it a fresh feel. Pools are beautiful. Location is fantastic.

We stayed here just after the remodel finished and were pleasantly surprised. My friends stayed in double rooms and I rented a Casita. Everything was new and refreshed, clean and modern. The staff was SO nice and friendly, but they were very under staffed and doing their best to keep guests happy. I loved the pool, the lobby and restaurant. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice large rooms. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Relaxing. Wonderful pools.
- 4/5
We had one of the updated rooms - pretty nice. If I could this is 4.5 stars. They just need to add small touches- like hooks in the bathroom for robes and towels, better lighting in the bedroom, and more accessible nightstand outlets.
- 2/5
For the price we paid, the quality was very poor. The Sonoran villas are waiting to be renovated and are run down 1980's style. Basic services are lacking. If you walk a block to the renovated section, everything is nice.

Beautiful resort
- 4/5
Beautiful grounds. Well appointed and comfortable villas. Service at the time of check-in and throughout my stay was first class and very professional. My villa was a little dated in terms of patio door, being misaligned and difficult to close and open. Shower temperature and water control needs to be replaced as it is loose in coming out of the wall.
- 4/5
We had a good time. Our keys would randomly work for the pool gates, so that was an inconvenience. The room could have been cleaner. Clumps of hair on the carpet, dead bugs in the shower, and we could not get the fireplace to work the first night we were there when it was a little chilly. The two-floor villas would be much better without carpet. The carpet just did not seem very clean.
- 3/5
Not great

BEAUTIFUL location. Very friendly staff. Loved the pool area. Spa could use some expanding and the resort fee should be tweaked until they have additional amenities.

Pros: • Centrally located, making it easy to explore the area. • The grounds were clean and well-maintained. • Rooms were clean and spacious, perfect for families. • The pools were great, our kids loved them, and the resort felt very family-friendly. • Staff interactions were consistently friendly and welcoming. They even drove us to our room with our bags in a golf cart when we arrived. Cons: • Poolside drinks were more expensive than at the indoor bar. • Pool wait staff seemed understaffed, leading to longer waits for drinks. • While the rooms were spacious overall, the bathroom was on the smaller side; the toilet/shower area barely allowed the door to close. • Some construction was still ongoing, but it didn’t detract from the overall grounds or experience. Overall, we’d happily return once the remodel is finished. A great family-friendly option with attentive staff, a clean property, and a prime location.

The amenities were sorely lacking! We were first in a 2-story villa - it was old and dirty - the carpet was old and filthy-looking, the clock didn’t work and was sticky and dirty, and there was water left in the coffee maker from the last visitor. The fireplace was for show only, it didn’t work. They kindly moved us to a renovated room which was much better. However, there was no minibar or bathrobes in either room. We ordered room service- my melon consisted of a few thin slices of honeydew, as did my husband’s pineapple. The coffee tasted more like tea. The yogurt parfait was inedible. The gift shop which was supposed to stock drinks, including Gatorade, was completely empty. We looked into switching hotels but were unable to find one due to spring training, otherwise we would have left.

The room is very dated and lack of maintenance. The room I stayed is lack of body wash, non-working TV remote and the cabinet with damaged handler - far below my expectation for a resort. The gardening looks nice but could us some improvements, there are spiky plants next to the trial where lack of lightening, which could be safety concern when it is dark outside.

Front desk, Melinda was great. Room furniture was outdated. Some light bulbs out, bed was very comfortable. Broken chair, one had no padding left. Fireplace didn’t work. Drake was personable and helpful. Jessie at the Tiki bar was very friendly.

The room was clean and the amenities were great. The only issue was the second night we stayed the shower drain started to drain really slowly and you ended up showering in a pool of water. Other wise it would have been five stars.

Nice renovated hotel. Pools are great staff is great.
- 4/5
Amenities and staff were great! We stayed in a yet-to-be remodeled room and it was tired and rough, I'd go back in a heartbeat if we had a remodeled room!
- 3/5
Remodel is just ok as the property is incredibly dated. Rooms have low ceilings, new paint over old doors that’s already chipping, old hvac is just covered with a dusty decorative box. It is better but not on par with what you’d expect at Kimpton properties. Staff was friendly, the lobby area is lovely and location great.
- 3.5/5
Very quiet. Several pools great exercise room. The room was a little outdated. The fireplace that was advertised didn’t work. It’s a nice property, but not worth what we were charged.
- 5/5
No coffee in my room
- 5/5
I had an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The amenities were wonderful. I even got a wonderful massgae at the spa. The room was clean, the villa was a little outdated, but still really nice. Highly recommended. I will definitely be returning.
- 3/5
No water for coffee, no hair dryer,no bathrobe High property fees access to pool but not the sauna No sound proofing between rooms Maybe single bungalow are better. Ok for work meeting but I would not go for a romantic gateway

- 5/5
We had a great stay! Staff was so kind and accommodating, even when we embarrassingly locked ourselves out of the room (twice).😂 they are doing construction and it looks like it’s going be beautiful along with the rest of the property! Room was spacious and nice, food by the pool was excellent, and service was great too. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Everything was top notch. Definitely will stay again!
- 3/5
Menu needs to include more American fare. Offering only Mexican style food is too limiting
- 5/5
Very great place to stay friendly people and great service
- 3/5
the room was in a corner with no views and a bad approach. its on the first floor with no elevators. we had a lot of luggage and 2 small kids..its not a good hotel for families travelling with small kids.
- 5/5
Exquisite grounds. Great staff. Great food. Great location.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Lovely facilities. Great location.
- 5/5
The rooms were remodeled and huge. Great place to stay.
- 5/5
When we first arrived to our room it smelled of gas. The fireplace was left on. They changed the room immediately with no problem.
- 4/5
Property was amazing. Pools closest to the lobby were clean and renovated, lobby was newly renovated. We stayed in the villa rooms, which are walkable from the lobby. The villa rooms were not renovated and were a bit outdated and dingy. The staff were great. When the pilot light for the gas fireplace went out, they came out twice to check on it. Staff was also very fast when requesting more towels. The pool closest to our villa, our key card did not work, it did work on the other pools.
- 5/5
First time I have stayed in years. The property is in the process of being renovated as it becomes a Kipton. Nice already, it will be amazing as it progresses.
- 4.5/5
New pools and new upgrade. The new restaurant and bar area.
- 2/5
Beds were comfortable We were not notified that the hotel was undergoing total renovation. No bar, no restaurant, limited access to grounds. We felt mislead. The room was very dated, coffee machine was broken. The phone in the room was inoperable.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay, the restaurant was ok. Loved the pool and facility. We had an older room that hadn’t been renovated yet, lots of construction going on while we were staying which was hard.
- 5/5
My wife and I had an excellent time, even though the facility was undergoing a few remodeling projects. The sauna and pool were both extremely refreshing and this staff at the spa, including Rachel and Bree were simply amazing. My wife and I had a couples massage, pedicures, and manicures. We will definitely return and tell family and friends.
- 5/5
Great hotel, stylish rooms and excellent amenities. Food and beverage high quality.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 4/5
We stayed in a 2 story Villa. The heat was fine upstairs but it was cold in the mornings downstairs. Fireplace was out of service. The rest of the resort was fantastic!!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean staff was curtious and helpful. Very personable. Amenities were perfect. I would definitely recommend this place.

Clean .. good food … great ammenities
- 5/5
Pleasant environment .
- 5/5
Air conditioner/Heater system worked well.
- 3/5
The resort doesn’t even have a bath robes and you have to go outside to reach a poolside.
- 3/5
Room was new but shower was burning hot, no cold, heater was noisy and there were missing light bulbs. Felt like for the price these things would have been addeessed
- 5/5
Nice resort with clean rooms! Food at restaurant was amazing! Will return for a visit!
- 5/5
The room was spotless, the grounds were beautiful , the food was amazing, and the staff were the absolute BEST!! Lovely , lovely people! Will absolutely stay here again !
- 4/5
We got a nice Villa, everything was clean but I know they're going through a remodel so decor was a bit old in the Villa since they seem to be the last to get remodeled/upgraded. Staff were all very friendly throughout the property.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and the entire resort was beautiful
- 5/5
Our favorite place to stay! Such a hidden gem! Great pools, amazing hot tub, and not crowded. Relaxing, safe area with close proximity to malls and old town.
- 5/5
The pools were amazing!! There’s at least 4 pools, all heated and a few hot tubs. The property is under construction but looks like an amazing upgrade. Great location.
- 5/5
Friendly, clean, lots of renovations going on, but made it easy to move around and not inconvenienced by it at all and it’s going to be an incredible place with all the upgrades they are putting in.
- 5/5
The property was undergoing refurbishment/remodeling, so accessibility was a bit compromised. HOWEVER: The room (2 story suite) was spotless and beautiful, staff was attentive and accommodating and my partner received a wonderful treatment at the spa. Great Spot. Will return.
- 5/5
Property is under renovation, but still very nice. Traveled with family of 5. Room with 2 king beds provided ample space. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. Check-in was easy and staff friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Everything was good, despite construction ongoing at the facility.
- 2/5
Room very small , Carpet is smelly, room phone wasn’t working , poor quality we were chocked especially we chooser Scottstdale
- 5/5
Great place, transitioning to a new brand
- 5/5
Clean room, beautiful pool, very friendly staff
- 2/5
There was garbage under one bed and dirty socks under the other bed. The porch was super sweet but the staff came to clean the patio and rearrange it and was looking in the door while I was sitting on the couch. I felt I could not use the patio after that since it was 3 hours before my check-out.
- 5/5
Nice remodel
- 3/5
We stayed in a newly ‘renovated’ room but even though we noticed some new details (furniture, carpet, sink area) other things remained as we remembered from a few years ago. It is strange they would do some refreshing without upgrading switches, handles, toilet, windows…Bathroom is a good size and shower us excellent! Bed is comfortable. I found closet/cabinet too small, especially considering all the space in the room. Very nice towels, toiletries, etc…My main problem was absence of light. Room is very dark - morning, day, night…Small window (especially on the first floor) doesn’t let enough light, there are no sufficient lamps, and it was impossible to get any makeup done. Bathroom led light wasn’t the best either. Personally, new decor was hit and miss. More modern with southwest accent but having huge a/c unit by the window totally ‘killed’ modern feel…As did 1970th toilet paper holder))
- 3/5
The room we stayed in seemed new but was constructed haphazardly. The door to the shower area could not stay open because the rail it was riding on was uneven. The glass shower door itself was stuck in its track and was difficult to move. The provided soap, shampoo, body lotion, etc., were of low quality. We had to climb onto a sofa to turn on a major standing light. Housekeeping did not clean the room unless specifically asked, and even then the service was incomplete (for example, dirty glasses were not replaced). On the positive side, the gym is nicely equipped, and the jacuzzi is large. The resort clearly has potential, but it needs stronger management and attention to detail to reach it.
- 3/5
The room was pretty dated, and the hot tub was very dirty. Having said that, we did ask the front desk to clean it and it looked somewhat cleaner the next day. We happened to be there during a soccer tournament I guess so there were lots of kids there therefore a little noisier than we were expecting. The renovations at the front desk and restaurant were very nice. Staff were polite and helpful.
- 5/5
Pool area was quiet and nice but lack of staff around main pool made for lack of cleaning at second hottub.
- 5/5
Pool side villa was so comfortable, fireplace was great for December evenings. Thank you staff Well done
- 4/5
Room was clean, towels were nice and soft! It was difficult to find though as there wasn't clear labels for the office or our room building until you got close. Any road storms showed the villas numbers.
- 5/5
Amazing individual villas and porches private and secluded, very well maintained. Will definitely stay here again. Hands down one of the best resorts in Scottsdale. Wish prices were a little cheaper but you get what you pay for.
- 1/5
One of the worse properties I've ever stayed at. Room was underwhelming and had a powerful musty odor. Despite the resort being empty we were housed at the far end of the property away from the lobby, shop, bar, etc. It was so far away a bellhop had to escort us there, following him in a golf cart. Room keys did not work and had to go allllllll the way back to reception to have them re-keyed. Walk back to lobby was dark, deserted and super sketchy. Did not feel safe. Entire property is under massive construction and much of it is unusable / fenced off. Horrible experience.
- 3/5
The room was great, however on the day of our artival we were notified that the entire resort would be out of power until 3am. After check in, we had to use our flashlights on phone to attempt to find room. There was no heat and the room was freezing. The temperature in our room was 55 degrees at night and no way to heat. This is not ok to expect your guests ti pay for a room that did not have heat or electricity.
- 2/5
Check-in and David's assistance to my room was great. Room was very recently renovated yet the bathroom door was delaminated (please replace it). You cannot turn on the very big walk-in shower without getting hit with cold water. The stationary glass panel needs to be caulked at the bottom to stop the river/lake in the bathroom.when done showering. The gym was a disaster; old yoga mats piled everywhere, TV remotes not marked for which TV they worked though that didn't matter since the TV wss not hooked to any service provider. Power went off, with several hours notice from 11:00pm to 3:00 am one night. Maybe one day this will.be a nice hotel but that is not today and I feel I was grossly overcharged for the place.
- 5/5
Awesome in every sense, 10/10.
- 3/5
I lacked a sense of safety while here
- 5/5
yes courteous hotel updating
- 5/5
Rooms still need updating. Rooms were clean.
- 3/5
Rude lady at check in but the rest of staff was pretty nice, outdated tvs could only watch youtube. overall good stay
- 1/5
Hotel was under major construction, boxes and trash everywhere. Room smelt like paint and no hot water.
- 5/5
The room has bad smells. The heater was loud and no lighter for the fire place. We ask for the lighter and they provide us.
- 3/5
there was a lot of construction going on. the room was really dated. i think they should be more up front with what’s happening at the hotel and they shouldn’t charge so much for rooms that look shabby.
- 4/5
we liked the fireplace feature. we liked the split level.
- 4/5
Property was undergoing a major renovation - will be beautiful when done I am sure but it’s a construction zone currently
- 5/5
Absolutely delightful experience. I love the separate villas, especially the 2-story condo... what more could you ask for? The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, hospitable, etc. They are undergoing some construction upgrades/expansions but we literally did not hear a thing... quiet, serene, beautiful property.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, the security/valet man was very informative. There is a lot of construction going on. I will not I was given a 24/7 service desk number to text and when I did during the duration of staff just ask for more hand towel because 2 Ba but only 2 hand towels was given was odd, I did not get accommodated. I even went to the front desk and was told security would bring some by and no one showed up. Other than that, stay was good.
- 5/5
Clean hotel. Friendly staff
- 2/5
The hotel is under construction. I’d wait to stay there after it’s done.
- 5/5
The place is beautiful, can't wait to see how this place turns out if I give one thing that would make this place better is if they can be a little more courteous to last minute people with the prices kind of an overkill but ill still leave the five stars but amazing place by the way
- 3/5
GFI broken in kitchen so microwave and coffee maker didn’t work. Room smelled and looked old. Not what we expected for a resort.
- 5/5
Just the overall vibe!
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay!
- 5/5
Would stay here again.
- 3/5
No drinks or food everything was closed for construction resort fee with no resort
- 2/5
Front desk staff lady was unfriendly, and rude. I was shocked they charged full price for a resort fee when they had no amenities. Everything is shut down. Worker's would start outside with at 7am, they were very loud and came into our back patio without alerting us, this was not appropriate.
- 5/5
Beautiful property and casita. Phenomenal service.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. Safe and beautiful area. Repeat customer
- 2/5
Everything was under construction, being remodeled. Very loud at all times.
- 3/5
The staff that check me very friendly. I was able to check in early. There was problems with my room. I went back to the front desk to advise my room wasn’t clean well. I appreciate the early Check in. I told them I can wait for regular check in order to have a clean. So I can get another room or house keeping can come back and re clean the room. The front desk advise me that housekeeping would come and reclean the room. I left with my bags and was gone for the day. It was my birthday. When I returned around 9:00 pm the room wasn’t clean probably. The phone in the

Will definitely be staying again!!!!!
- 5/5
Gorgeous resort! Two story suite was roomy and so relaxing with a front balcony and back patio poolside. It felt luxurious and the staff took good care of us.
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times it’s one of our favs!
- 5/5
Staff was very polite and friendly, the room (courtyard villa) was very spacious, clean and cozy, the pool was clean and slightly warm!
- 3/5
Two pools were closed, the restaurant was closed so we didn’t get the vip discount, no shuttle to old town. All the amenities were closed, disappointed
- 1/5
Would recommend anybody to come here construction all over the place. This place is a mess made it has never showed up to my room to assist me with the fireplace called the front desk. It wouldn’t answer the phone. This is the worst hotel. I’ve ever been here and I won’t be coming back.
- 5/5
Loved it other than phones didn’t work in room.
- 1/5
Terrible! Wake up to construction. Last time I stayed there was room service but because of all of the construction, there were no amenities available. You would think they would make up for it
- 5/5
Loved it here. The welcome was great even though they are going thru renovations they couldn't be more helpful at accommodating us. The place was quiet and clean and easy to walk around. Loved the Waymo driverless taxis everywhere. Took several. Felt super safe even though all my friends freaked out lol. I need to come back next year so will be staying here definitely.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
There was a lot of construction around at the time. Only 1 or 2 pools open so they were a little crowded. There is no food options for to renovations. The room was beautiful but it did smell of mildew and needed to be dusted
- 5/5
As advised, part of the resort is under construction but we had a two story very comfortable unit and pool was close by and not too busy. The price was great. It was a win for us!
- 5/5
Amazing room big enough for teenagers. Staff was friendly
- 5/5
It felt like you were staying within a little town. While we were there they were working on the main area so one pool was closed but there were still 2 other pools and shopping is very close. The casino was very close and lots to see within short distance
- 5/5
Great stay highly recommended
- 5/5
The property was beautiful and the villa was very clean. Housekeeping did a wonderful job and the front desk reps I met were both very friendly and helpful. The only downside to my trip was the fact that the property is going through renovations and the spa and onsite restaurant/bars & room service were unavailable. I would book with this property again 100% if I am ever in Scottsdale again.
- 5/5
Pool was great. AC excellent. Mattress sagged when you settled into it—not so good for neck and back. Shower worked good and drained good. Realize the resort is undergoing major remodeling.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Was a great place to relax and recharge.
- 1/5
Property needs to be closed permanently
- 4/5
Loved it

Property was well kept and nice. Rooms were clean and nice as well. It was under staffed and seemed you had to wait a long time before you could get service. The property was under construction which was fine and actually wasn’t noisy but since there was that I feel they under staffed where there was only one person working lobby and answering phones.
- 4/5
Our room was clean. Bed/pillows very comfortable. Quiet place to relax on our patio and at pool 2 pools were available as was very nice. Clean. Ice water and towels available. Lots of chairs and tables. Fridge in room very small. Check out size of fridge before shopping for drinks or snacks. Ice machine and filtered water placed throughout resort most worked. Grounds were clean and well kept. Staff were very nice at check in. Pool staff were friendly as well. We did have a very peaceful relaxing stay. We are looking forward to updates to rooms and will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
My stay was a great experience. I had a fabulous room for a good price. The room was in a nice location and the staff didn't detract from the stay. The only issue was with certain amenities not being available because of ongoing upgrades.
- 5/5
There are towels provided in the pool areas, which is great.
- 5/5
Fabulous stay. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Our shower wasn’t draining properly and one phone and it was fixed immediately. Great place and I highly recommend it
- 5/5
This property I would recommend to everyone! Very quiet even staying next to the pool. Very spacious and comfortable. There were a lot of amenities that were under going upgrades which was a disappointment BUT it still got 5 stars
- 4/5
I had purchased a room with a pool view. The room we had was a view of the cement building in front of the pool. We could see about a foot of the pool from our room. Unhappy about that, but the rest of the amenities were very nice. They are currently remodeling, but did not negatively affect our stay. Quiet stay, the beds were comfortable and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Nice stay.
- 5/5
Even with the remodel going on , the staff was excellent, attentive, professional, and very accommodating. I will definitely return and recommend it to others.
- 5/5
They’re currently renovating things but the stay was still nice. The rooms could’ve been cleaned a little better with fresheners bit of an old carpet smell. Rooms need a major uplift with furniture and squeaky stairs hopefully they’ll be renovating this as well soon. The pool area was not clean used towels was left on the ground and chairs no one around to manage the area. Location was very nice 4 miles from the Scottsdale mall and other stores. Employees were very nice and resort landscaping was beautiful. I will be revisiting when the resort renovation is done because I know it will be even better. We didn’t get to enjoy the restaurants at the resort due to the renovation but still enjoyed the stay.
- 1/5
The first and only hotel where we checked in and actually left within the same hour to stay somewhere else. I booked a 2 night stay here and paid in full and unfortunately walked away with no refund at all... But the condition of the "resort" is far from what you see online. Yes, they are under construction, but the rooms are so dark, dated, and musty. I wanted to open the curtains to bring some light into the room and what I got was a layer of dust in my face as soon as the curtains moved. We were going to just stay for the one night and check out the next day and find elsewhere, but as soon as I pulled the blanket away from the bed and moved the pillow, a bug ran across the bed and that was what made us grab our bags and leave. There was no way I would feel comfortable sleeping in the bed for even the one night if I knew there would be bugs! We've stayed at many "resort type villas" over the years and this one was by far the worst one... There is no way this is a 4 star rated hotel. Again, this is my first time leaving a review like this but I want to warn others as what you see online is not what you get in person. Unfortunate we lost out on the money spent but at least we did not have any sort of bug or tick or cockroaches on us! My husband mentioned we should let the front end staff know we were leaving immediately but as all resorts and hotels are; once you've paid, there's no refunds; so what would be the point? This came across as a 1 star resort to us, not 4.
- 4/5
It was like a home
- 3/5
I was disappointed that they emailed us a few days before our flight to let's us know that basically everything we wanted to experience there was closed due to construction. They didn't give us time to decide if we wanted to cancel n go somewhere else because it was at the last minute. They should have at least charged us half the price knowing we couldn't do anything there. Not only that, we had the biggest cockroach I ever seen in my life.
- 5/5
Loved our experience here they are currently under renovation. Were ready to see the upgrades next time we visit
- 4/5
at check in was fantastic as well as the bell hop who showed us to our room. Check in was quick and easy. The room is dated, I see why they are remodeling. It's very 90's. The grounds are pretty blah, very motel like. Our Casita had an adjoining door to an additional Casita and the people in it were loud and woke us up very early all weekend. The Casita pool was okay, hot though not refreshing. They did have plenty of towels, secured umbrellas, and decent lounge chairs. It was nice having the room close to the Casita so we could get our own food and drinks since things were closed due to the remodel.

We were not informed until after the fact that renovations were being made. There was no bar staff at the pool area. Renovations were being done where people were walking on the roof and painting. We were woken up at 5 AM in the morning. None of this was told to us when making the package

Though close to a very busy street, it was very quiet. Sadden that bar and restaurant were unavailable but they had advised me prior to arrival about upgrades being done which look very nice. Restaurants and shopping close. Staff was awesome. Rooms very clean. Gym very nice and very clean. I would do another staycation with them.

The hotel was old and dated. They really need to update the villas. Got a lot of stairs in the pool. Guess they're not used to Black people. I don't know. Make me feel uncomfortable. The staff was nice.

This place is amazing. Very quiet and plenty of shopping around the area.

Great staff, very pleasant and professional. Will be coming back.

Love this resort. The pools and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The room is very nice and the bed is really comfortable.

We stayed 4 nights and had our room serviced after the first night, the trash and bedding were left in bags outside our room. My card was charged twice for our stay and I had to have that corrected. No one at front desk mentioned they were short staffed or under construction. No food other than grab and go on site.

Clean nice people quiet! Property reminding me of Europe

Made the reservation and then received email the next day that the property was undergoing a major renovation. Would have been nice to know that in advance. Arrived and it looked like I had arrived at a construction site. The valet was abandoned. No bell service. One very nice lady manning the lobby and that was it. Restaurants closed Pool closed. No water in the room to drink. The only saving grace was that the room itself was actually very big and had a great shower. Definitely not a resort style stay. I wouldn't recommend this place until they complete renovations. Overall it was not a resort quality much more like a motel..

Great place to stay rooms are clean. Staff is friendly.

Very nice place to stay. Staff was wonderful

There was no internet for one whole evening and it came back and the next morning it was off as well. We missed important meetings and it was such an inconvenience .
- 1/5
Well first off we were not made aware that the property was under construction. Second of all it was our Anniversary on the 23rd of this month and my birthday is on the 24th and it was a total wreck because of the suite being messed up.! The main pool was not available . So that was terrible also the whole time we were there the TV was not working that was like the worst we literally wanted to go home!! The whole time!!

I love this place. It just has always been more spacious and chill. My son and I have been staying here since he was a child. Now, he is an adult. He has autism and the resort helps calm him down. He loves the snacks there. I was so pleased the the resort is doing updating. The improvement are major and I highly recommend to any guest who hasn’t been here before.

Property was under construction. No amenities, restaurants, or service available. No communication from the hotel staff about the lack of amenities or service. Resort fees were still charged even though we had no access to anything from the resort.

Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the resort was undergoing major construction. The main pool was closed, the bar and all the restaurants were not operating, and the gym was in poor condition and clearly not being maintained. We were not informed of any of this in advance. Had we known that these key amenities would be unavailable, we would have made different plans and stayed elsewhere. These facilities are a major reason we return to your resort, and their unavailability significantly impacted the quality of our stay. Despite the lack of amenities, we were still charged a daily resort fee, which we believe is inappropriate given the circumstances. We also spoke with several other guests during our stay who were issued refunds under similar complaints. Given the situation, we are requesting a refund for our stay, or at minimum, a full refund of the resort fees. We hope you will take this matter seriously and respond promptly. Sincerely, Damon Poole

u we love pool rooms close to dining ammenities

Excellent amenities and proximity to restaurants and town events. The villa I stayed in was nice. Housekeeping woke me up when I requested them not to several times for two days.

Beautiful Grounds

Property is being renovated, so not everything is open, but I stay there all the time. Love how big it is and a great price
- 2/5
Maintained. Trash cans around property overflowing with trash! Animals pick through trash after it is on the ground and staff leaves it on the ground. Trash in our room from past guest.
- 5/5
Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Pool huge and was open late. Hot tub was full. No monitoring on how many people are allowed and for how long.
- 4/5
The resort was under construction, but the area around the resort is fabulous

Carol at the front desk was super sweet when we checked in. The pool was nice and the room was clean. Unfortunately our shower was broken so we couldn't shower the night that we stayed and tried to call the front desk for assistance but the girl who answered was annoyed and told us theres nothing to be done since maintanence wasnt available til the next morning. Our coffee machine was also broken. Otherwise the stay was alright. Wish they would've gave some suggestions since we paid for our stay and received an unusable shower.

Vey nice property that is family friendly. We loved the pools and restaurants. It is located close to downtown Scottsdale, so very close to restaurants.
- 3/5
Property is showing it's age. Clean, just older.
- 5/5
I really like this hotel, despite it being closed for seasonal work. The phone lines were down during my stay, which made it hard during my stay to contact the front desk. Other than that it was beautiful! I’m for sure coming back
- 3/5
Unlikely to stay here again
- 3/5
Please be aware that this hotel is in renovation and it does affect the general experience. The two-story rooms are very spacious and those in front of the pool make it a great plus. The hotel is a bit dated, so maybe it will be a very nice place after they are done with the renos
- 5/5
The property was very spacious with lots to do in the surrounding area

Loved this place was in an area outside of downtown or city limits but drivable to them and great selection of old Scottsdale town where fun/activities were accessible. Only thing I was down was the property had minor issues but were easily taken care of by the staff. I would definitely stay again in this location as well recommend anyone who is visiting phoenix to stay here.

Went there for a weekend get away. A staycation of sorts. We chose this hotel because they had a bar located on site. Arrived and the hotel was under construction. Bar was closed. A little disappointed. But the room was clean and staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Very clean and you get a good bang for your buck
- 2/5
Right now its not a good place to stay. Its undergoing renovations which they dont tell you until after you book (at least on expedia). Only one pool and hot tub works. The tv went out twice and one time for hours. For some reason they still charge a resort fee even though there is no resort really. They were painting buildings on both sides of where we stayed so you’re walking around tape etc the walk the property. Customer service was still good but they should either close until finished or not charge a resort fee or inform people prior to booking their stays.
- 5/5
It was wonderful even though they are under renovations. We stayed out in the pools and it was very relaxing. We’ll stay here again
- 5/5
Super helpful staff! And super kind :)
- 4/5
Nice property but half the resort was under renovation. We didn’t find out until one week prior to arrival. No bar or restaurant available, one pool closed etc. Definitely changed the vibe. Looking forward to seeing it after the renovations are done.
- 3/5
The staff and area around the hotel are exceptional. I booked this hotel to relax and the kids had 5 advertised pools at the time I booked. A week before our trip from CT, I got an email through Expedia stating the hotel will be under renovation and essentially the whole place was closed. Just 1 pool (I wasn’t able to find the casita pool which was advertised as private). No spa. No restaurants. Since nothing was going on, we had to do lots of things off property. The rooms are very dated. It was clean but always a musty, dusty smell. Nothing was wowing. I was extremely disappointed considering this was supposed to be the best part of our trip. I have to check my email for my receipt because I was supposed to have the resort fees waived and I don’t think they were. It would have been nice to have notice prior to booking that construction was going on because I could have booked at our number 2 choice.
- 4/5
Overall one of the best spots in Scottsdale for spacious rooms/suites. I hope the prices don’t go crazy after the renovations are completed!

Villas are super rad, very spacious

This was an excellent resort to vacation with your family! We enjoyed the several number of pools to pick from and the food options. You could certainly not leave and have a great time. The gym was excellent too!
- 5/5
I loved the home feel and spacious rooms in the casita. I didn't like that there was a huge spider in the bathroom, but my husband took care of that.
- 4/5
We were disappointed that we were not made aware that the main pool was under construction which pushed everyone to the pool outside our villa- so lots of noise and people.
- 3/5
Grounds could use some upkeep. Villa was more outdated than I anticipated, furniture is in need of maintenance, and pool area had a lot of broken equipment.
- 3/5
Unfortunately the property is going through a renovation so most of the amenities were not available. Communication wasn’t received in time enough to make any changes.
- 5/5
Property was clean, close proximity of shopping and restaurants, nice amenities.
- 5/5
Always have a great stay at Scottsdale Plaza Resort!

Staff was great. Loved the villa, very clean.

The private pool for only casita guests was right outside our door!! The jetted hot tub in the room and the walk in shower big enough for 2 was perfect!! The bed had us sleeping the best sleep we have in forever!!
- 4/5
The king suites are spacious. The location made it perfect for our stay. The property is close to many restaurants, golf courses and retail stores. The staff were very gracious and helpful.
- 4/5
Recent stay rooms, customer service pool was decent. Only wish I would have known when I booked on there site in March that they would be under construction no spa service no restaurant only pool.
- 4/5
Staff is very friendly and helpful. At the time of my visit, there were ongoing renovations so not all amenities available- the resort fee should have been pro-rated because of this
