The hotel is generally praised for its amenities and location, with guests appreciating the cleanliness, comfort, and convenience of the rooms. However, there are consistent complaints about the elevator situation and breakfast quality. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the noise level due to nearby clubs and bars.

The facility, the staff, the cleanliness and the appearance as they stated a four star. My only complaint was the mattress was really soft and well used definitely needed to be replaced. Also, when I booked the rooms, it was advertised it breakfast was included, but when I checked in, the front desk staff advised me that breakfast would be additional $11 per person which was very disappointing.
- 3/5
Also breakfast was not included in the room. The cost was $11 per person. We had to ask for clean towels. The coffee was not refreshed for the second day.

Location to Old Town. Modern interior design. Silverware instead of plastic eating utensils. Selection of breakfast. All items proper temperature. Staff friendly and offered maps. Immediately address bathroom sink drainage problem. Would stay and recommend this Hyatt. The amount of room in the bathroom from the door to the toilet. Had to open the door, walk around the door before closing the door. If there was a shower mat on the floor, you could not open the door.

Can’t recall the name but the lady working Saturday night was about as cool, nice and welcoming as can be. Great experience

Everything perfect - solo travelers would enjoy!
- 5/5
We loved the room with a tiny kitchen area and a nice sofa and tables to relax and talk about travel plans for the next day's adventure to the Grand Canyon. The beds were comfortable. We liked the bar on the first floor and items for sale from the store (ice cream for my son). When I booked it was my understanding that we had free breakfast, but ended up being charged $11 per person. I usually don't eat breakfast but went ahead since I thought it was free; had I known there was a charge we could have just gotten on the road earlier. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if in the area. It was located close to our dinner reservation in Old Town, The Mission. Ice only available on odd numbered floors, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm not a fan of the louder AC units that run near the bed, but I understand that is how a lot of hotel rooms are set up.

Everything was great, minus the tub backing up, otherwise I would stay here again.

The breakfast menu was decent. The food was fresh. Air conditioning was excellent. The staff could use more personality. They were nice, but could be more pleasant.

I was looking to stay in a place that was easy, comfortable and clean for a quick 2 day trip and I found exactly that here. I loved my stay I didn't have to call the front desk once! Everything was just perfect.
- 4/5
I arrived the Sunday and I had to tell the staff my room hadn’t been cleaned until the Thursday despite me being out each day Then when they did finally clean they took my laundry bag that I’d filled out as per their instructions but never received my clothes back! Finally on my last day I’d requested a late checkout to have housekeeping come bursting into the room an hour before I was due to leave saying nobody told them it was late checkout. However there were some staff members I found friendly and helpful, it was a bit of a mixed bag overall! Despite this I’m giving 4 stars as it was a large comfortable and modern room in a good location and not everyone will experience the same issues I had!
- 5/5
Dominic was a great host. Our for daughter's graduation and he directed us to some great restaurants in Old Town. Cien Agaves was perfect for a late lunch just before we headed to graduation convocation at ASU. Location was fantastic for graduation. Not nearly as crowded as area around the ASU campus with great dining and entertainment close to the hotel. Room and hotel looked as if they were recently remodeled. Everything was fresh, new and very clean. Overall a great place to stay in may heat with Old Town Scottsdale within walking distance.

Just about everything! Seems like the locals gather to party in the back parking lot until about 3:30 in the morning. Hard to sleep if you are in one of the back rooms. Guess I should have called to complain or called authorities.

- 5/5
Dominic definitely made this stay the best. We only had one night in the books but booked a second night and he made it work so that we could stay in the same room. He took care of us, made us feel welcomed and even have us some places to go look around that we're family friendly along with restaurants. At breakfast, he was again amazing and enjoyed the chit chat we had. Hotel was nice and clean and so was the room. Even though it's next to a night club, it wasn't as loud as expected but Dominic did warm us ahead of time. Great service and friendly atmosphere.

Hotel was quiet. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was good.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to Old Town Scottsdale - a 15 minute walk from restaurants, shopping and night life. We stayed for one night, but with the kitchenette and separate sitting area in our room we would have been comfortable for several days. The only complaint is the water pressure in the shower was lacking. Otherwise, a clean, convenient hotel with friendly staff!
- 4/5
The front desk people were very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. Kaitlin in particular was so kind, helpful and friendly.

Fantastic lication. Short 10min walk to Old Downtown' bars, restaurants snd shops. All in all great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Located in Old Town Scottsdale. Great restaurants and shops close by. The staff is very helpful. Nice breakfast option too.

The staff member who cleaned our room used the same gloved hand to clean the toilet as she did to wash out our cups. We ran the hottest water possible to rewash the cups.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice and clean and was in a good area. will come back again

There was mold on the tile in shower. The AC very loud and due to location bedroom area very cold but sitting area warmer. Room was spacious.

- 3.5/5
Friendly staff and breakfast good. The lobby music played outside throughout the night (for 2 night stay - external speakers in porch way) disturbing sleep. Notified reception. Had to make up a sofa bed for our son even though we had booked for 3.
- 4/5
Clean room. Pool was very small. The photos were more appealing than real life. Room was big and beautiful
- 2/5
Beds not comfy pillows not supportive. Dated bathrooms. Poor layouts. Ac is either off or freezing. Not worth the money. Wasn’t even given the correct room. Checked out after first night. Wasn’t happy with the room or service.
- 3/5
Our two night stay was fine. There were issues with the elevator, the air conditioning was loud and on/off at night, difficult to control the fan. Everything else was pleasant!
- 4/5
Great stay
- 3/5
It was nice but our bathroom door handle didn’t hold the door shut and I called the front desk twice to fix it and no one ever came to fix it.

Great location for walking everywhere, including Scottsdale Stadium. We didn't rent a car, just took Uber from airport to hotel and walked everywhere for 3 days. Helpful staff, clean room.

Both elevators need servicing ..the floor indicator lights in the inside of the elevator cars are not working properly. Bacon and waffles at breakfast were cold. Eggs were warm and good.

The location was right perfect in Scottsdale. I was in town for the baseball spring training it was just a short 15 min walk to the stadium. The hotel room was tidy and clean and had a good amount of space and lighting. Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was on the side of property next to the night club downstairs there was quite a bit of noise on a weekend day it went on for quite a while when the club was getting out.

Rooms are a bit small and poorly designed. The bathroom vanity was tiny, with very limited counter space and only enough towel rack for one towel. We had to hang our toiletry bags in the kitchenette. The enclosed toilet/shower area was very small, making it difficult to close the door without catching a toe. The only towel rack was inside the shower. Not even a robe hook on the back of the door. Whoever designed these rooms must not travel much.
- 3.5/5
The staff was excellent, especially Dominic. He went above and beyond to be accommodating. No parking fee, however there was a charge for breakfast. The noise! The hotel is located very close to several nightclubs. After they close at 2am the party extends to the parking lot which was directly below our room. Not only was it noisy, we didn’t feel safe. Also, no coffee or water in the lobby.

Thurs-Sat, noise a major problem b/c of location, as well as cars in parking lot blasting music. Hotel guests from clubs loud all night long. I'd never recommend the hotel as a result. Staff gave a "Can't do anything" attitude.

Told staff about broken deadbolt on our door never got fixed

Great location. Walking distance to most Old Town places. Overall nice facilty, clean. Only complaint is a/c unit right next bed in my unit do blasted with cool air in bed each time turned on.

But, after that.........Our room alarm clock was already set to 6am and went off the first morning. This happened in our friend's room too. Then the elevator, which is so slow to begin with, got stuck with our friend inside. Night number 2, the fire alarm went off at 4:30am and was a false alarm. Night number 3, the fire alarm went off at 12:45am and again, was a false alarm. So I can say that for the 3 nights we were there, we didn't get one good night's sleep at all. And to top it off, the water pressure for the shower is very low. The location of the hotel is great as Old Towne Scottsdale is a short walk away. I just wish Hyatt would spend the money on the actual hotel as it could be so great!

The room was large and included a kitchenette area with sink, fridge and microwave. The staff was wonderful. Unfortunately there is a really loud nightclub across from the hotel...request a room on the opposite side of the hotel if you want any chance of sleeping. A group of teenagers (a hockey team) were on our floor for a few nights of our stay. After taking over the pool and eliminating any chance of a peaceful day in the sun...at midnight had to call down to the front desk to request someone do something about them screaming in the hallway. These kids should be on the same floor as their parents so someone is in control of their behavior....or should be in a section of the hotel away from other guests. Otherwise, great location walkable to everything in old town!

Only one comment… I had an expensive face cleaning cloth which was missing after house keeping cleaned our room. I gave them 3 days to retrieve it, they couldn’t find it. My guess is they are using for a dust rag.

Room was clean and comfortable. Only one bar of soap for both shower and sink. A bit spartan on amenities. Welcome for sign-in above average. (Domenic.) Other clerks for further assistance questionable. Inquiry re taxi service resulted in "There's lots of them! You can call any of them!" No offer to call or help, and no telephone books available. Later request for service fulfilled gladly and easily.

The room was great, but there were some poor management issues on the way the hotel was run. One day they did some construction on some drawers for the lobby and were operating a table saw 15 feet from my window. Couldn’t those have been cut to fit somewhere else?? At least with a long extension cord far across the parking lot, if not somewhere else entirely. Also… One morning there was a fire alarm before 6am, but the front desk person showed no interest in telling anyone what was going on. She just went over and turned off the alarm and then went back to the desk. The lobby was full of people. People were standing outside in the cold. I went up and asked. She said it was the kitchen. I asked if it was a problem or did they just burn something. She slowly went to check and told me they just burned some sausages. I asked, can we just go back to bed, and she said, yes. But she still never lifted her head from her desk, never made any announcement to the other people in the room, certainly never told anyone to spread the word to the people outside the other exits. And it was the second fire alarm during my stay. Clearly there should be more training on how to handle them.

There were 2 false fire alarms over our 4 day stay. One at 9:30pm and the other at 6am. Due to the kitchen burning something. Hard to get a good nights sleep on vacation when you’re interrupted like that and have to gather the kids up and exit the hotel. I understand accidents happen but twice in 4 days. Needless to say i was exhausted during our stay. Won’t be staying there again.

It is my fault. I did not know where Hyatt Place fell in the food chain of hotels. It is kind of like Hampton or Holiday Inn Express, except a bit lower. For the price I paid, I expected a lot more. The bedding was great. The towels were great. The carpet was fine. The shower was fine. The shower/toilet area was a bit cramped.

An older hotel. Admire the attempt to update but it is still lacking. I was on the second floor and people above me sounded like they had a heard of horses running around their room all night and early morning. Was adequate for an overnight stay but there are better options nearby for slightly more.

Nice place but it can be loud on the weekends as there’s a club next to the hotel.

The layout of this room is so odd. You think its big but its wasted space. The bathroom is so tiny. No privacy to change. Everyone is awake if anyone brushes their teeth. We hit our heads and shoulders on the tv several times. Meanwhile the giant empty room without even a table was wasted space… except the fridge with a night door that keeps u up glowing all night!!! 11.50 per person for crappy hotel breakfast? Very odd hotel. Thank goodness for location!!

I booked a king size bedroom but they gave me a double full size bedroom. When I inquire about it they told me that they can't guarantee to get me the room I reservéd because it was through a tird party. For sure that's a bummer for me. 😩

Room was great. A little noisy but fine. $12 for the breakfast though to me was a little expensive for what you get. Maybe should be included?

- 5/5
The staff was by far the best thing about staying at Hyatt Place. We were greeted each time we entered and wished a good day whenever we left. When we first checked in, there was an issue with the toilet not flushing in the room we were given, but the front desk immediately remedied that by bringing us new room keys to a room across the hall and a few doors down. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Everything about the place was bright and welcoming. I am VERY happy with our stay and will definitely stay there the next time I visit our children in Arizona.
- 3/5
Room was nice and staff were nice as well. Only downsides were the parking lot was being worked on and never received notice or direction. Parked on a resealed area thinking it was safe only to have the road blocked off by cones at 8am and had to get some moved to leave. Then the fire alarm going off randomlu at 6am for 15 seconds then stopping wasnt the best way to wake up.
- 5/5
Great place. Upscale finishes and amenities and excellent location.
- 5/5
Rooms were spotless, staff was so friendly. Great location.
- 5/5
The gentlemen at the front desk was simply amazing!! my flight was delayed and he let me keep my room until afternoon. Loved the staff!! Thank you all for being so considerate!!
- 2/5
Parking is VERY limited. The elevators are questionable. Paid for king, given a double. Told only king available was a handicapped room so we had to take it. Not ideal.
- 5/5
A very nice stay with all amenities as one would expect of this level of hotel choice
- 2/5
The first room they gave me had yet to be cleaned. While I was still staying in my second and upgraded room, they gave other guests keys to my room due to a glitch in their system. This happened twice during my stay. They gave me a complimentary snack, but I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
All the staff seemed happy. Alysia, Domenic, and the gal with short brunette hair that worked with Alysia, they were all delightful. The security dude was great!
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of fluffy pillows. It is centrally located in the old town area so walking around is easy and convenient.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! The hotel and room was very clean
- 3/5
Room was dated
- 5/5
nice rooms, close together, easy check in
- 3/5
Shouldn’t have been charged so much with the construction going on and maybe let us know it’s under renovation
- 4/5
I would have given all 5 stars if not for the remodeling that was occurring. We had no access to the pool or workout space during the renovation.
- 1/5
The hotel is under construction. I paid $900 for a broken toilet, we almost got stuck in the elevator (we let another guest go and they got stuck) the hotel was not accommodating and our room was a uncleaned room.
- 4/5
Brand new A/C quiet. The hotel inside and out was under major reno's which was no issue to me.
- 3/5
Room was clean and staff friendly. Would have been nice to know of the major remodel going on. Down to only one elevator for guests as the crew was using the other one. Location to Old Town was fantastic though.
- 5/5
Great stay!! Lobby and elevators area was under construction, but the beautiful rooms made up for any inconvenience. So spacious, modern and nice! We are looking forward to stay here again! Very friendly staff.
- 4/5
The room was, as always, very spacious and clean. The only reason for the lower rating is that they are still undergoing a major renovation, so they are down to one elevator and a mess on the lower floor. They compensated by providing a full breakfast for no additional charge, which I appreciated. It is the closest location to walk to Old Town Scottsdale and it is a short walk to the Civic Center and the Performing Arts center, which is why I always stay there. Construction mess, but it was better than last month!
- 3/5
Thought price included on site fitness room. Also, hotel under renovation so was noisy, etc.
- 4/5
Dominic at the front desk was very welcoming and a big help. The location is great. I wished we’d known that there would be renovations going on while we were there.
- 2/5
We were not provided with the room we booked. The front desk staff across the board ranged from indifferent to rude. There was construction taking place throughout the downstairs that was not disclosed when we booked. The only good things were the location and the manager Kaitlin. I would not stay here again, there are plenty of other options in Old Town. Very surprised as I've stayed at Hyatt's for over 25 years.
- 4/5
Had a great stay, Hyatt never fails. Only reason for a 4 star rating and not a 5 star was because they were doing renovations and I could hear impact drills going off at 7am. I know if it wasn’t for that we would’ve had a perfect stay. Room, restroom, bed was clean and it was in a great location. Definitely recommend after they finish renovations lol
- 4/5
Very nice stay. The room was very nice and roomy. There was construction going on. They should let people know about the constriction prior to booking.
- 3/5
Checked in late and the room that I had paid for with a king bed wasn’t available and was given two double beds. Having to deal with Expedia to cancel the reservation was absolutely no help and we ended up staying anyway. The staff were great. There was construction going on so there was no gym. All in all it was fine but would have liked what I paid for. Next time I will book direct and not use Expedia.
- 2/5
Hotel is under renovation and it was not mentioned on the website. Also I booked a king room and ended up with a two bed. They’re telling us there’s no king bed available. My husband has a broken arm and that’s why we needed the largest bed.
- 2/5
The hotel was a mess, dutty and loud, they are having construction on the hotel open. Was horrible
- 5/5
They were in the middle of remodeling during my stay, but I totally understood and it was no concern to me at all. Friendly staff and great location.
- 2/5
This information was not shared prior to my arrival. One elevator was filthy dirty with card board taped everywhere. Construction materials were in the hallways. The cleanliness of common areas like hallways was not acceptable and filthy. There was an undesirable odor as well. The staff were nice as could be given the circumstances.
- 4/5
Our room was clean and comfortable, but HOTELS neglected to share that the HYATT was undergoing renervation. Shame on you
- 5/5
Staff at check in was very helpful
- 2/5
- 4/5
They’re doing renovations and the gym is closed which was disappointing but I’ve been here several times and appreciate the hotel
- 4/5
Room was clean when we got there. We didn't utilize parking, so I can't speak to that. Everyone we spoke with was pleasant. Our visit was during their renovation, though, so it was likely not in its usual state. However, we were not informed that the hotel was under renovation until we arrived at midnight and there was caution tape all over the front entrance and we were unable to get in. I even spoke with someone over the phone earlier that day to let them know of our arrival time and she did not allude at all to the fact that most of the hotel was being renovated and to enter from a different location than the front. This part was frustrating. It ended up being a fine stay, it was just not the level of stay that we were expecting. It would have been nice to at least have had a heads up about the renovation so that we knew where to go since we were arriving to the hotel late at night.
- 2/5
Hotel was under construction, no lobby, popcorn ceilings, had to park back of hotel next to all contruction equipment
- 1/5
We were not informed of construction at this hotel. Water was shut off with a days warning for 3 hours. Thank God we saw the timing. 1 parking lot was without lights. Felt unsafe at night. Elevator was in construction mode with cardboard.
- 2/5
Hotel common areas where a mess. It should have been disclosed at the time of the reservation that the property was under construction.
- 3/5
Lobby was under construction & they didn’t notify us when he booked.
- 1/5
I was never informed that this hotel was under construction. The breakfast area was shared by reception desk in a small room. The breakfast selection were pitiful and stale at best. They started construction early in the morning. I couldn't get a full night of sleep. The door is not solid so you can hear everything that is going on in the hallway. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and the door did not lock. They shut off the water Sunday afternoon. They shouldn't be working on a Sunday! The public areas were filthy as well as the elevator. The only thing I liked was the location. I would never stay here again.
- 4/5
Pros: the breakfast was free, even though our rate didn't include it. Expedia sent an email the day before, noting that the parking lot was shared with a night club--which a hint that I should request a room away from the parking lot to avoid late night party noise. The room had a strange layout, but it was OK. The a/c was fairly quiet and I could control the fan, which I really appreciated!
- 1/5
The staff just said they were sorry and that I could move. Marriot rooms were so expensive to move to last minute. I should of stayed there in the first place.
- 1/5
The hotel was under renovation and we had no idea.
- 2/5
The hotel is under major construction, which was not told to me, or factored into the price. There was no real breakfast. Someone had booked the room that breakfast is normally served in, so the only available breakfast options were frozen/microwaved Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, and small boxes of cereal.
- 1/5
Place was a disaster! Under construction! Even drilling and banging on Saturday and Sunday starting at 8am!!!Don’t book here!
- 2/5
While the reception staff was welcoming and courteous they had the pressure to make up for shortcomings due to renovations being done during our stay. Fire alarms kept going off really early in the mornings as well. Grea proximity to old town.
- 1/5
Under construction doors locked had to find out it was under renovation after it was booked
- 3/5
The property is under construction. Unclear signage for check in at the back of hotel. One elevator is a mess for construction. The lobby is closed. And, we chose this hotel because it had a fitness room. That was closed. The backup fitness center at a nearby hotel was a few blocks away. Overall, I never would have booked this had I been warned of the construction (Oct 2025)
- 2/5
It was hard to give a good review because they are undergoing massive renovation, so it was pretty much torn up. The work was noisy, but the location is still good. I have another even next month and am undecided if I will stay there, since they still expect to be in process. They did offer a free continental breakfast, but it was mostly snack foods. It was hard to find parking. The room was nice and well equipped once I got up there!
- 1/5
There was no breakfast and the hotel is going through a massive renovation and wasn’t posted on their website. I was very disappointed to find out that the hotel was in a construction zone with contractors everywhere. A smell of paint, it all seemed unsafe to be hosting customers.
- 5/5
Staff and rooms are great. Just under construction at the moment. No big deal to me, but a little dusty as expected and hard to maneuver with contractors.
- 1/5
With Expedia lately and I use them for all my travel. I May need to seem out another option
- 1/5
There is no lobby or lobby bar. Check in was at a folding table in an empty room. Outside in the hall was a snack center Elevators were filthy with construction materials and torn up cardboard on the floor Requested housekeeping and at 4 pm room was still unserved It took 3 phone calls and maid said we were not on list!!!! Night staff were extraordinary kind and hospitable. Coffee was weak. It was a deplorable experience and not conducive to working on a business trip.
- 2/5
The whole hotel apart from the room was a building site, including the lift. The room was large, clean, with a good size bathrooom, separate living room and there was a small kitchen available. We stayed one night and when we left the day after, a large group of builders were sitting and standing outside the temporary reception.
- 5/5
The women at the check in desk were incredibly nice. Bedding was comfortable Love the location too
- 1/5
This hotel is under construction in a very big way. I would probably not invite guest at this time to stay there because it feels very dirty and dusty and not ready for bookings. They say they send an email in advance to let you know, but I did not receive an email because I booked through hotels.com.
- 3/5
Hotel was under construction and it was an inconvenience. Room was clean and nice though. They most certainly should have offered a reduced rate. Staff was reasonable and offered us free waters.
- 1/5
I have stayed there several times through the years, but they decided to start doing remodel on the hotel and still try to have people stay at the same time so when we checked in got into the room on a Saturday, it was unbelievable. My wife comes to Phoenix for medical care and they are literally were jackhammering on the floor below us and above us unbelievable. It’s hard to believe that the high Regency would allow something like that.
- 4/5
If we knew the renovation was going on, we would have chose another hotel. We had Lots of work arounds. The water was shut off for a period of time on Sunday & lots of air in lines when it was turned back on.
- 1/5
Unbeknownst to me, the entire hotel was being remodeled. Alarms literally going off, construction doorway zippers. Elevators wrapped in paper/plywood. No lobby, etc. The staff were accommodating and said I could cancel with no issue but that’s easier said than done with a third party “hotels.com” and you are traveling with your own schedule/obligations. Very frustrating and disappointing that I’m now one of those complainers. Fwiw, I suppose I’m at least letting someone know. Will it matter? Probably not.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and very clean. Staff was extremely friendly. Beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet. Got a great nights sleep
- 1/5
This hotel is being renovated. The lobby doors not exist, they checked me in through the back door. Then you have to walk through the construction.
- 2/5
Staff was fine. However, unbeknownst to us the hotel is under renovations. Both mornings I was awakened by drilling above me at 8am and another morning was awakened at 4am by trucks beeping while backing and driving around the parking lot. Additionally, at one point during the day I went to use the bathroom and shower and the water was turned off.
- 3/5
This is a great place to stay with an awesome location, but I did not know that they were renovating the property when I reserved the room. The only reason I lowered my rating was because I was not happy that this information wasn't disclosed upon booking the room. The first couple of floors were torn up and only one elevator was used for guests. There was a lot of noise and construction crews all over the place.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, the property was under construction and without water during the day for the 3 days of our stay. Had we known that, we would not have made the reservation at the property.
- 4/5
Inexpensive and central to everything in Old Town
- 3/5
They were in the middle of remodeling with no warming before booking. No lobby, loud and water was shut off from 11:00 am to 3 pm very unpleasant experience
- 5/5
The check in was smooth and fast, amenities were as described. The room and the great stay experience was just what we needed. Although some renovations and construction was going on, they were kind enough to make up for it by complimentary snacks and drinks. A small clogged up sink was taken care of by their plumber. We’re definitely considering returning on our next trip to Scottsdale. Can’t wait to see the post renovation site!
- 5/5
The staff was great, the hotel was very nice also! I wish that there was a hot tub, but that won't stop us from returning again.
- 5/5
Great price. Comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Hotel is under going renovation. The sign only said sorry for the inconvenience. However, the inconvenience was hard to overcome. Construction was occurring above us, very loud, Sunday evening. A LOT of noise outside and above early Monday morning. Not a restful stay.
- 5/5
I came in with a 26 foot U-Haul and they were able to give me a place to park.
- 3/5
Only one elevator in service, took forever. Some people at desk very nice, some very cold. Breakfast price good, food not. Room was clean, but noise from construction made things tough. TV in crazy place, could only see from an angle. On Saturday night, motorcycle revving and cycle meetings outside until 3am. I do understand that they are undergoing a remodel and this will make the place a bit more contemporary. Price was good.
- 3/5
Good location. Right in the mix of old town. Please was clean and good service but they’re do some renovations. So the appearance is the best at the moment.
- 4/5
Property was great location but under construction.
- 5/5
Close to old town, quiet area, comfortable rooms
- 5/5
The property was under renovations, but still one of the nicest hotels I've been at in a long time. The staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was great and the room was large and very clean. Will definitely stay there again.
- 2/5
Disappointed to find that there was renovation going on and pool not accessible
- 5/5
Conveniently located near Old Town Scottsdale. The room was comfortable and the AC worked very well and helped keep me cool on a hot day. This location has not been renovated in the style of other more modern Hyatt Place locations but it was well maintained. The shower head had really good water pressure and I had a pleasant bathing experience.
- 5/5
Great staff!!!! Great location!!! Super walkable
- 4/5
Hotel was under renovation in some parts including one elevator, it was fine. Once renovations are complete it’ll be a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Everything is great about this place.
- 5/5
Service was excellent. Room and gathering areas were clean, spacious and very nice. All personnel I interacted with were top notch! Hotel was exceptional for price and services.
- 4/5
The hotel is under renovation and it would’ve been nice to know that before booking the room. The Desk person was extremely nice and helpful. There are many hotel options in this area.
- 4/5
I enjoy staying at this hotel with good proximity to old town Scottsdale. During this stay unfortunately I was there during renovations and the water had to be turned off from the hours of 11am-4pm 2 days so it affected me for early and tail end hours. My washroom sink did not drain (I’m sure it will be repaired soon) and there was luckily a kitchenette sink to use; no microwave in the room though 😕. The air conditioning seemed to have a bit of misty/moisture. All in all beds are great, staff is friendly but the building is undergoing an upgrade/ overhaul so for now it has challenges. Price was good also
- 2/5
Upon check-in, I was informed that water would be shut off at 11 AM due to construction—something that was never communicated in advance. Even more disappointing, the pool was already taken over by construction crews and completely unusable, again without any prior notice. This was particularly frustrating as enjoying the pool was a key part of our plan. The on-site continental breakfast was fine and what you'd expect, but overall, the experience didn’t reflect good value for the price paid. Communication and transparency about amenities during renovations would have made a big difference.
- 4/5
Water was cutofff from 11am-3pm due to building under construction. Frustrating. But otherwise great toom and location.
- 3/5
Water was shut off for 6 hours on 2 consecutive days. Could hear the music and patrons of a nightclub next door.
- 5/5
No restaurant or breakfast available on sit as offered on website
- 4/5
This will be a really nice hotel when the remodel is complete, in the meantime you get a nice room at a great rate and a great location in exchange for dealing with a bit of “pardon our dust” inconvenience. The drive from our hotel to Albuquerque the next day was spectacular!
- 1/5
First room 411 sink was clogged and would not drain. There was a mud ring in the whole sink. Staff was nice enough to switch rooms. 415 next morning before checkout at noon work next door was loud and no water. They cut off the water to my room so I used bottle water to clean up. Property is a dump
- 5/5
Location was great, lots to do and the hotel is clean and well equipped with what you’d need otherwise you’ll find things all around. All the staff were fantastic but I want to give a special mention to Alyssa, when my AC went out she sprung into action fast and made sure I was made comfortable. It’s wonderful that Hyatt hires people they trust and you’re not waiting on some chain to decide if I can have AC or not. Super happy with my experience and will be back!
- 5/5
Great bargain and location !
- 5/5
The room was very spacious for the price point. The room was divided into two parts, with the seating area and kitchenette away from the bed/bathroom area. When parking, be sure to park in the designated area to avoid having your vehicle towed. Overpriced restaurants are within walking distance if you find yourself hungry in the middle of the night. Overall, I have a good place to lodge when I am in Scottsdale.
- 5/5
Everything you need is within walking distance, great shopping, excellent food
- 2/5
So when I initially booked I wasn't warned about the current demolition and re-modeling. I've seen other hotels warn you about current re-modeling construction at the hotel beforehand. Hyatt did not. The elevator was limited to one and it was extremely slow. Also, I was not visibly warned about my reservation not including breakfast. I've stayed at this location multiple times and have never made a reservation not including breakfast.
- 3/5
Room was worn and amenities non existent. Noisy during day. Desk clerks were all very accommodating for calling taxis and answering questions. Construction makes it hard to rate properly. I wouldn't stay there again under these circumstances.
- 5/5
Breakfast is included.. it’s ver convenient in the morning not to worry about that .
- 5/5
All staff was amazing. Great location near fashion square and old town.
- 3/5
I wish I had known before I booked that the hotel was under construction for renovations .
- 4/5
The property is in great location, safe and quiet.
- 5/5
Fantastic check-in/front desk experience with a very nice room at a great price.
- 5/5
Great spot within walking distance of old town. Nice room. Will go back here again in the future
- 5/5
Great location and staff!
- 3/5
The hotel is old need a refresh! Poor amenities. The gym has just a treadmill
- 4/5
Estacionamiento muy limitado
- 5/5
We had a very enjoyable staycation. The staff was amazing, especially Alysia
- 5/5
Excellent place
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
We had a great short stay at this hotel. The staff was extra friendly and the room was spacious for our kids.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay and customer service was excellent:-) I would stay there again.
- 3/5
I was staying in a room and the plumbing backed up. I had to move to another room by myself. Then construction started.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
I was happy to go back to Hyatt. The location is great, with restaurants, shops, coffe places.
- 5/5
It is a great hotel with great staff a great breakfast in a great part of Scottsdale
- 5/5
Great property.
- 5/5
The staff was great !
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful! Great location! Always clean and comfortable!
- 5/5
It was amazing. Staff was top notch!
- 5/5
The staff was very professional, friendly, and attentive. Felt safe and welcomed.
- 4/5
It was good. The intial person at the counter and the last person were great.
- 4/5
Staff was quick to check us in, parking lot could have use a little more sense of security, parking lot very open to public. Elevators needed upkeep. Rooms were clean and spacious, definitely good for the price. Close to many restaurants and attractions.
- 5/5
Centrally located very walkable.
- 5/5
Loved the location room was nice and clean walking distance to old town and lots of other things
- 5/5
Monset was great! She was able to accommodate my stay. It made the check in smooth. The place was easy to find and very easy parking. The hotel room was very clean and true to a non smoking room. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Very pleasant experience. Staff was very friendly. The place is clean and well maintained. Rooms are quite roomy. Very safe place with lots happening within walking distance. Our only disappointed was that they no longer offer complimentary breakfast.
- 2/5
Room was nice huge and clean as well as the hotel. But it’s not enough staff.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are luxe, staff are friendly and inviting. There is limited parking; however, eventually we always managed to find a spot to park. The Old Town area has plenty to do nearby. Will definitely consider staying here again
- 4/5
Basic property that did the trick for what we were after. A clean and quiet room with a decent bed and shower.
- 4/5
Older hotel but very clean
- 5/5
Alyssa is real friendly she made that trip way better
- 5/5
Comfortable overnight stay. Room and property were clean and staff was friendly.
- 4/5
This place was comfortable enough for the price , breakfast is over priced and used to be included . I’m a Hyatt member and was not given any of the benefits.
- 4/5
Convenient location
- 5/5
Close to downtown and mall. Noisy in the early morning due to trash trucks.
- 5/5
Everyone was super friendly and helpful thank you so much
- 5/5
Convenient and great price.
- 5/5
Well maintained and very good service.
- 4/5
Nice property, conveniently located. Tucked out of the way, I live less than a mile away and didn't know it existed. My stay was because our house was being worked on.
- 4/5
All good except it’s a cash free hotel and when I booked with Expedia, “they” said I could pay with cash, tho I secured space with card
- 2/5
The room had what appeared to be hair balls in two of the corners and it just had an overall feeling of unclean. The room I stayed in showed signs of wear and the tv did not work (cable was not functioning properly). The location was great, but there are better option in the area.
- 3/5
A little older, but clean.
- 1/5
No recomiendo
- 4/5
None at this time
- 5/5
Location in old town Scottsdale. Walkable to our restaurants.
- 4/5
Staff was great bed good smallest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel.
- 5/5
Amazing as always!
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Nice hotel in downtown Scottsdale!! Nice breakfast thought you need to pay on booking flexible check out etc
- 4/5
This hotel is for those who like the night life! Dance club directly across from it. Dancing to 2am. Staff was kind enough to ask me if I wanted a room on the other side of the hotel. Due to music very loud. I did select the opposite side and still could hear the music. Otherwise it is definitely a party town on the weekends!
