HYATT house Scottsdale/Old Town

Property is older but still seems to be maintained well. The concrete and some things in the room show its age. The lobby and room was clean. Breakfast was something different every day and very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

I love how everything was in walking distance and that the rooms felt like a condo. It made me feel more relaxed as opposed to being in a regular hotel. I would stay at hyatts like this when traveling every time. I also loved the pull out bed and simplistic set up. Was perfect for the last night there. Bacon could have been a breakfast option

My stay in December was much better. This time the room wasn’t very clean. The maintenance repairs were an eye sore. I found a bugs nest in the bathroom. Room 2511 was not it. Will find a different place to stay during my next visit.

The room was spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom had an open sink area so wasn’t completely private. The door to the shower was very hard to slide. The decor was a bit dated.

The staff was extremely helpful, especially at check in, offering directions to local activities and restaurants. The pool and deck area was clean and provided fresh towels daily. The breakfast area was clean as well and offered typical breakfast foods.

The sliding door to the bathroom needed oiling or re-tracking. Same with the sliding glass door to the shower stall. The entrance door needed re-sealing - a cockroach made its way into the room through the gap underneath the door. Other than these issues, it was a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was fine, some empty containers, but refilled. Check in was late at night. Hard to find desk and unattended. When finally received room was unable to get king bed as booked. But got bigger room, with small beds. Worked out ok. But not what was hoping based on reservation. Overall good location. Happy with amenities as advertised.

This particular Check-in staff was poorly trained and not helpful at all. AC noisy with temperature and fan speed hard to regulate. Facility need updating. Had room changed and the AC is only minimally improved. Sleep quality severely impacted and would not stay here again. No complimentary water provided even though I am a Hyatt member. Overall not getting the quality expected from the rates charged for my 4-night stay.

It was best for girls trip

The room was clean. Needed more towels when we got there. Need more garbage cans outside around build. There were at other parts of complex, but none by ours nor by our parking lot. Tub was extremely slippery, I slipped first day, and know have sore shoulder. Needs grab bar outside tub area. Rubber mat on bottom of tub

Overall the stay was comfortable. Pool was well maintained, staff friendly. Just be mindful that it is set up like an apartment complex, so you will need to walk to main building for breakfast or to see staff. Kitchen was great. It is an older complex so no elevator.

I had a confirmed reservation booked months in advance. Upon arrival, I was told no room was available. They shipped me off to a substandard alternative in a poor location. Totally unacceptable. Hyatt, you’ve permanently lost me as a customer.

Hyatt House is located at a very convenient location in downtown Scottsdale. Near Old Town and many restaurants. Staff accommodated us for an early check-in. Complimentary breakfast was better than many other hotels we have stayed. Must realize that this is a three-story hotel without an elevator and room changes are done every other day. We were there three nites and were on first floor. The bar is next to the check-in where we were having a drink, and a number of arrivals were not aware of these limitations and somewhat upset to learn as they arrived

The microwave sucked and front desk didn't give me a receipt. Overall nice hotel tho, big room with a full kitchen.

Convenient location in Old Scottsdale; easy access and convenient parking for room location; comfortable rooms (good condition but showing some age), relaxing and roomy hot tub, very good hot buffet breakfast with very good coffee, oatmeal, fruits, bagels, cereals, multiple juices. Staff was laid back but responsive if needs arise.

Our family loved our stay. The staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfast was delicious every day, we used the laundromat and that was convenient. The pool and hot tub were a hit and we used the daily and had no issue getting a lounge chair with umbrella. Towels were available and plentiful. The room was so big and convenient. 10/10 thank you and we will be back!

We had two days and enjoyed them both. This is close to everything and we walked everywhere. The pool was centrally located and the Gym had a Peloton, which I loved.

We didn’t know that they only cleaned the room every two days and we were only there for two days. We only had one coffee cup and had requested they bring another one during cleaning the first day and they said they would, but since they didn’t clean, we didn’t get it. Everything else was great. It wasn’t quite soundproof, but it was pretty close - like the blackout shades too. Breakfast stopped at 9 AM during the week so we didn’t get a chance to try it.

This is a perfect property if you're going to any spring training at Scottsdale Stadium. It is literally a nine minute walk straight down Drinkwater. One of the best parts is it offers a full breakfast at no charge which saves you at least $20-$25 a day per person. This is huge in this area because very few hotels are for you for breakfast.

This is the perfect place for us to stay when I am traveling with one or both of our daughters. We can get a room with a full kitchen and two completely separate bedrooms. The price is usually very reasonable but a little higher than normal during this stay. The man at the front desk was not extremely helpful or informative. He might have been having a bad day.

The grounds were well kept. The courtyard was very inviting. We really enjoyed the breakfast with fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Lots of amenities if you plan to stay several days. There is a grill in the courtyard.

The location, the staff and the complimentary breakfast was excellent! The return unit in my room was very loud, every time the air started blowing it sounded as if I was in a wind tunnel. The sound wasn’t constant and it didn’t disturb my sleep(it was just noticeable) But there were no other complaints.

Was told would have to wait until tomorrow. That was unacceptable since I had surgery in the morning. After complaining the finally moved us to another room. Had to move at 10:30pm at night. Not what I was wanting when trying to relax and get ready for back surgery. On the second morning the breakfast shut down early at 9:10am. Thy did not put out any food after that time so wife had to go over to the hospital and find something for breakfast. Would not recommend this place to stay in

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was okay, and the beds were comfortable. However, the master bathroom shower did not work properly—there was very low water pressure and only cold water, so one of my friends was unable to take a shower. We raised this issue at checkout and were told that a manager would call me, but I never received a call. The shower should have been checked and confirmed to be in proper working condition before our stay. I am extremely dissatisfied that the master bathroom shower was not functional.

The only thing is the short walking distance to old town. This hotel is unacceptable. The room was disgustingly filthy—carpet stained with what looked like blood, shower barely drained, no toilet paper provided, and the whole room reeked of drugs. I asked for extra towels multiple times and was ignored. Just to name a few.

Bar was closed starting Christmas Eve until dec 31st or so.

Breakfast was decent. Basic scrambled eggs, potatoes and the normal add ons. Coffee was very good, VERY hot. Room was OK, bed was comfy but the pillows are terrible. Location is great. Waymo will pick you up and take you to all the locations near this hotel. lot's to see & do. Well....we had a bathroom sink clog up in the room over night and we couldn't use the bathroom for a solid day with no compensation offered. I didn't ask for it but it should have been offered. They had to call in an actual plumber to fix it. It also smelled pretty bad the morning we woke up to the sink almost overflowing. The head of their maintenance was VERY nice. All their staff is nice but the Company itself is just big corporate it seems.

The amenities were no better; the pool was dirty, and there was visible black mold in the hot tub. I regret not booking a higher-quality hotel and would not recommend staying here.

The worst part was the night club directly across the street. Not fun at midnight when you hear it. Try not to get the rooms on the main road if some noise bothers you.

I have stayed at Hyatt House before in other places and have found them newer and modern. This particular property was fine, but not up to the standards I expected. It’s old and feels very dated. It was clean and just fine, but not what I had come to expect from the Hyatt House brand.

This was by far the best run facility with regards to check in process, cleanliness and the staff was very pleasant. The breakfast bar in the morning was amazing. I plan on staying here again and the location is very convient to all areas of Scottsdale.

The breakfast options were good, but the pancakes and waffles were not hot and not that good. I recommend having waffle makers and or a pancake maker instead. They are great. Unfortunately, every night of my stay included being woken up, sometimes multiple times, by loud talking guests (I assume) next to me and the guests above were up at 5am. The floors squeaked when they walked. The good aspects were the room size and having a kitchen area with a full sized fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, including the housekeeping. The area felt safe and the property is close to Old town and Fashion square mall.

Surprisingly affordable with all that came with the room. Wish we stayed longer!

The front desk staff, the grounds crew, the bartender.....everyone I interacted with was beyond friendly and outgoing. It's a great location and a great place...especially for the price point!

Upon checkin we shared with the agent we were there with our son who would be having a procedure on his leg the next day, and we were given a room on the third floor with no elevator. The first night we arrived so late due to flight delays, the room was not complete clean and we were too tired to address it - thinking the trash would be handled the next day by house cleaning. The next day after the procedure we were unable to get our son to the room so we went elsewhere. On the third night we returned to find our keys didn't work after hobbling to the room with our son who later had his hand cut by shards of unseen glass on the booth style seating. We decided to leave the next day checking out early, and due to booking through expedia we were unable to get a refund for the night according to the hotel.

I stayed in a one king bed room. It was clean. I had a kitchen that had all of the necessities. Free breakfast every morning that had a full assortment. It was great

The two bedroom unit was like a roomy apartment. However, it was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator.

Staff was friendly. Free breakfast included each day along with two bottled waters for your room. It was clean in the pool was nice. Full kitchen. I'd stay there again.

When i opened the room door i was amazed at the size. It could be a 1 bedroom apartment. It was cool, clean, and so comfortable. The bed was soft, supportive, and so comfortable. The lobby staff is amazing, and very friendly. The lobby is bright and clean and offers books, and games for all ages. There are nice selection of snacks and asult beverages and stuff for the kiddies as well. The grounds were clean, the pool was very well kept. Free breakfast that was pretty good for the most part. I will definitely return here my next trip to Arizona.

We were satisfied with our stay.

Appreciated the full kitchen. We stayed for a week and wanted to avoid eating out every meal. Also very much appreciated the free breakfast - great choices hot and cold. Staff were also very accommodating. Two free bottles of water each day.

When i say the receptionist/bartender Nancy was a favorite 😍. She is very sweet, very accommodating to the quest. I Appreciate her and the hard work in making sure everyone is well taken care of. If i have the pleasure to visit Arizona again, I would definitely stay her again.

This is our 2nd stay here and really enjoyed it. Definitely a bonus having a kitchen. Breakfast was good nice staff close to downtown and walking. Pool was nice. We will be staying again soon

My only complaint is the front desk attendant upon arrival was a bit rude. My room wasn’t ready at 4pm and he was not accommodating at all. He informed me there would be no compensation for my inconvenience and there is no guarantee that rooms will be ready on check in. All other staff were pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The room was nice and clean and was the perfect set up for a family with teenage kids as they had a separate room across the two bedroom apartment style room.

This is our second time staying at this Hyatt House- we love the closeness to Old Town and getting on the 101 isn’t too far to head N/S. Room was a good size and kitchen came in handy. Breakfast had better options than I expected too! We felt safe walking as well and we will definitely stay again!

I will visit Scottsdale, and reserve my stay this Hyatt house again...it was a great experience.....

Rooms were very spacious and clean.

There does not seem to be great communication when messaging via Expedia for accessibility accommodation request. I also called two days ahead to verify that the request was put in. They were able to fix the issue after hesitating to do so, but the staff is very friendly. We did not have enough time to check the rest of the hotel out but it was clean. Some of the furniture had tears, or broken. It is nice to have a small kitchen, but we did not have soap or sponge to clean the dishes, or a dish rack but still very nice.

It’s a nice property. I love the apartment feel because there’s space to spread out.

Pool was dirty, felt oily and looked hazy. Lounging chairs poolside were stained. Floors in room were dirty. It just felt dirty there. Won’t be staying there again.

Great place to stay for the night in Scottsdale. Would be perfect for an extended stay any time. Best breakfast I’ve ever had in an accommodation. Very comfortable, great staff, clean.

The hotel and grounds were very clean. We stay here often when we’re in the Scottsdale area. The hotel does not have elevators. They do offer breakfast, but since Covid, it hasn’t been as good as it used to be but it’s still a good price for the money spent.

We love the convenience/location the most, the cleanliness and the style of the place as an apartment with kitchen.

The property was well maintained and quiet. Great location. The breakfast buffet was great. Each day you had a different meat and featured item like pancakes, french toast , etc. Liked the layout of room. Great shower (no bath tub) the water flow from shower head was a good amount of water to shower with.

The property is in the middle of Scottsdale which was great for shopping and entertainment. The property does not have an elevator, but the front desk was very nice and moved us to a downstairs room. The girls at the front desk were wonderful. We were there for almost a month, so we had breakfast there always and the staff was wonderful.

The staff were so helpful and friendly! The breakfast was convenient. Only wish they had an elevator to make it easier with luggage.

Old rooms, pool not very clean. On the plus side - decent breakfast, spacious rooms with a bedroom and easy access to dining and shopping.

The place is really nice but not for feeble with no elevators.

What I liked most was the beds, kitchen appliances and the Breakfast that was included it was a Great Breakfast 😊.

Great location, good for big families.

Had a great stay. The breakfast was tasty and had a lot of variety. Parking was a breeze. We enjoyed the pool and the proximity of the hotel to local attractions. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen area was conducive to our needs. The only downsides were an air conditioner that made a dripping noise while running, and carpeting that is due for an upgrade.

The only detractor was that the sound of the refrigerator, esp the ice maker, was a bit noisy. Solution, flip the bar on the ice maker up before bed.

It was size convenient, we had 2 rooms and 2 bedrooms and that was very comfortable but the property is very outdated and not very clean, for the price i would expect something better. Location was very good and convenient

I I didn't like much. Housekeeping never met my wishes,notified front desk, twice. Still no response.Tables and chairs, full by 9AM. or don't get one until after 8PM. Bar not open til 3PM. Something spilled in the refergerator, door compartment, Never Changed Beds, all week.I have pictures the day, I left, of towels still on my floor
