We went for a Mayo Clinic appointment. They have a shuttle service available to Mayo. They dropped us off and gave us a card to text when we were ready for pick up. They did not respond to the text. We did not mind waiting, we waited over 45 minutes with no response to two texts and a phone call. We ended up using Uber which was cheaper than the tip we gave the driver on the way over. I would not count on their shuttle service.

A couple of things to be aware of : $25 self parking /day . $35 resort fee! They do authorization charges everyday on your credit card. The charges are not small. They were over $300 . They are just pending charges but I’ve never experienced this with any other hotels. Also, checking out I was handed a bill. That’s not on the hotel but Expedia when sent over the reservation never sent over the funds that Expedia charged me. So make sure you look over your bill. The staff were helpful. Over all a very good hotel but these little things make it :( .

The young lady at the front desk with the lip filler wasn’t friendly and didn’t tell us our room number at check in and just handed us the key cards. And she forgot our breakfast vouchers and wasn’t friendly. But other than her the property was great

Clean rooms, very comfortable- rooms are much better in the main building than in the other buildings- if I go again I would definitely request main building as I had to switch- staff are accommodating and amenities are great

Great stay at Adero. About 30-40 mins out from Scottsdale Downtown, but location was great with nice mountain views and well maintained property. During check in, the desk agent did charge me for my room even though I had already paid through Expedia. Be sure you verify if you had paid alrea

A beautifully romantic and quiet weekend away! The hotel was gorgeous and reminded me of a Grecian hotel nestled into the cliffside. The staff was amazing and incredibly attentive. Every meal that we had was delicious. There was so much to do and also just lounging by the pool was relaxing and rejuvenating.

Wish we could've stayed here an extra day to enjoy the amenities. Room with the fireplace was a little outdated but it was clean.

I came here for a solo trip for a few days to escape reality. The resort is certainly set up so you don't have to leave, which is exactly what I was looking for. The staff was very professional (when I couldn't find the coffee shop I asked a cleaning lady who stopped what she was doing to walk me to the shop). I also loved that there are water refill stations on every floor. However, the coffee shop definitely needs a makeover. It doesn't measure up to the rest of the resort. Also, there's no vending machines or little markets that a lot of Marriotts have so if you like a little snack before bed, plan ahead!

Such a wonderful getaway. I love that the rooms were spacious and had a private balcony to enjoy the views. Especially since at night there are no street lights so you could really see the night sky. They even have telescopes in the lobby that are perfect for star gazing. They have all the basic amenities including an adults only pool. I just wish they had more on sight snack options or a little shop for snacks.

The room was nice, clean and spacious. The coffee was nice to have in the room for the morning, the "free" water bottle was nice, it would have been nice to know that it was free. The breakfast was delicious, pricy. For the cost of the rooms, I felt nickel and dimed for everything. It would have been nice to have to be able to purchase a canned/bottle coke and snack (vending machine) or available somewhere on the property.

This is our second time here; last time was quite awhile ago prior to Marriott takeover. Beautiful view is second to none! Staff were all very attentive and took care of the issues we had immediately. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and fairly reasonably priced. We were disappointed in there being no pool service and lack of options for lunch/drinks at the pool. Lunch options were limited and out of a refrigerator- premade wraps, cheese and fruit but no crackers available (although there were chips and pork rinds!). No cocktails available; again there were cans of wine and seltzers in the refrigerator.

Everything was amazing! The hiking trail on property was the perfect length to do quick in the morning or evening. There was free water on every level (and sparkling water as well) which was so nice in the desert. They actually cleaned our rooms every day which is hard to come by these days. My kids loved the pickleball and tennis courts and the staff was more than willing to lend them the equipment. The staff really went above and beyond to make our stay great. They even brought us a microwave when we asked them to pop some popcorn that we had brought for our kids. The only down side is that there really is no place like a pool bar or sports bar to grab a quick bite and a cheap drink. The restaurant on site is amazing, but everything is expensive so we did have to leave property to eat and grab food for our room. But would defnitely stay here again.

Location was far from a lot of things but the view was really great. The room was nice but the AC temp setting kept changing during the night so we would have to keep getting up to change it. Lots of frustration with the staff. Ate dinner at the restaurant only once because it was so slow and very loud. Carpeting on the stairs showed a lot of wear. Couldn't get an invoice print out because "only the other computer prints to the printer". No pool side food and drink service. Some staff said they did, some staff said no. Had to carry drinks and food from the bar all the way down the stairs to the pool. No bottled soda in the fridge downstairs, you could buy a soda from the restaurant but it was a very small ice filled cup.

We loved the size and location of our room. We stayed in the older section of the hotel and loved how it was nestled into the mountain range with a large patio. The restaurant had great food with lots of healthy options, view was spectacular with sliding doors that opened to the outside. The 2 pools were clean and nice to have an adult only option. The front desk was very helpful and greeted you when entering and exiting the lobby area. We took several wellness classes and loved them along with our instructor Sarka (pronounced Sharka)! There was not enough seating at the adult pool and it didn't feel like it was heated to 85 degrees. The outdoor furniture above the hot tub area was torn and really worn, needs to be replaced. The server for the pool area really hustled but when the hotel is full, you really need more than 1 server. It took a long time for drinks and snacks. The bartenders in the bar area of Cielo were overall not very good. It took a really long time to get a cocktail once you ordered and most of them did not seem very friendly nor experienced.

The classes that were offered were excellent for both Pilates and yoga. The room was comfortable and clean. The only thing I don’t like is paying for parking. The location is a get away from the center of the city so having parking shouldn’t be an extra cost. Otherwise would recommend.

TO KNOW: $25 a day to park, no mini splits so air coming on and off can impact some light sleepers (me), food in restaurant (and drinks) very overpriced. Otherwise, it was a top-notch escape!

Impeccable service. Magnificent desert views. First class fitness facilities. Close access to Adero Canyon hiking trails. On-site pickleball courts. Tennis court. Nice outdoor swimming pools and lounge and sitting facilities. Outdoor hot tub. Options for self parking or valet parking. Quiet rooms. Immaculate cleanliness throughout the facilities. N/A. This first class facility and operation simply has no weak points.

Beautiful property, spacious rooms, fantastic staff. We had a wonderful time! The food and drinks, while good are very pricey. There is a refrigerator in your room so you could bring some water and snacks with. The spa was absolutely wonderful. We had a great visit and would recommend to others.

Most importantly, we found a resort that’s truly pet friendly. Our dog was allowed to hang out with us by the pool and essentially everywhere but the gym and spa areas. He loved being able to stay with us and it put our mind at ease that he was allowed to and we didn’t have to be constantly worried about that. Overall great location and would for sure stay here again. The only areas of improvement I’d suggest would be there should be enough umbrellas at the pool for every 2 chairs. With how hot it gets, the umbrellas were a commodity and there weren’t enough a couple of the times we were looking for them. Similarly, at the Cielo, it would’ve been nice to have some tables outside with umbrella coverage too. The restaurant’s food and service left a little to be desired. For the price, the portion and flavor were a little disappointing. I ordered a breakfast egg white flatbread and it was sausage and bacon pizza with scrambled egg whites on the side. The salmon for dinner was small for the price. The food overall was underwhelming. That doesn’t dull the overall appeal of this resort for me though. I would just maybe get brunch elsewhere next time around. Looking forward to staying here again!

The property is beautiful in a great location. There are places where a good renovation is needed. The staff is excellent. A few minor hiccups with no bartender for the Sunday brunch and no one working around the pool area to get food or water or anything. Outside of these minor issues the stay was excellent.

The location is beautiful and the unit was clean. They offer a nice lemonade beverage when you arrive. When I arrived there was a young lady sitting on her phone as I waited to check in. Thankfully there was I believe a manager - very nice man dressed in some casual attire who was very kind smiling and asked if I had been helped and when I said no then the young lady finally stood up to help. I do want to give recognition to another front desk support who was a middle aged woman that was super kind and saying jokes that had shown up as well with my check in and helped the young lady who was struggling to check me in.

GYM: Very well equipped and large. Good & many cardio machines. SPA: We each had 1 massage. Pricey but both masseuses were very skilled. VIEWS: Very nice to see the hills and distant town. ROOM: Cliffside - The rooms are a bit worn out. Our screen door kept coming off the track. Room is poorly decorated, with several blank walls and empty floor space where a comfy reading chair could have been placed. Not very homey. I was told they would be updated in the future. This is sorely needed. We found mold inside lid of ice bucket. Housekeeping cleaned after we showed them and gave us extra waters the next day as an apology.

Beautiful resort. I had a nice, clean room with a mountain view. I had to change rooms because the door lock was broken, but everything worked out fine after that. The pools and the fitness center are excellent, and the spa is wonderful. The restaurant was good, although minor changes to menu items were not always followed through on. Adero is a bit removed from downtown Scottsdale. But, overall, it was an excellent choice for a few days' vacation.

Overall the resort is nice and I was fine with the outcome of my stay. However, I was supposed to have a fireplace in my room. I didn’t. When I called to inquire about receiving the room I reserved, I was told there was an issue and that wasn’t possible. However, I was offered $150 resort credit. The room was a handicapped accessible room, which is fine except it then also didn’t have the soaking tub I was expecting. Dinner at Cielo was fine but not great. Truffle risotto and crab cakes were good. Instant potatoes did not cut it. The salads left a lot to be desired. The fireplace in the lobby doesn’t work and the signage to the spa is horrible. I would go back to the resort again but I know what to expect.

The staff is friendly and helpful whenever you need anything. The hotel itself was beautiful and you get exactly what you pay for. the only done side I have is I believe valet and self parking shouldn't be the same price.

It would have been a lot better if there was an actually sauna and steam room on the premises like stated. So i was deceived. Also you say this was Scottsdale when technically it was in Fountain Valley. For someone who hasn’t been here before, again I was deceived and it ruined my trip

Woke up the next morning, opened the curtain and was so disappointed to see my view was basically (mostly) the parking lot, a few houses across street and a very small/boring 'mountain'. Hence 'mountain' view... On my way out I stopped by the front desk to ask if I might be able to move to a room on the other side of the hotel - with a proper view. I was told that I was in the 'room type' that I had booked... He then suggested that I check back later that morning. I had to leave for a meeting but called the Adero afterwards and spoke to a very nice Gent by the name of Pacci. I explained my situation (GF was arriving that day and I had sold her on the Adero views) and he immediately said - no worries, I can take care of your request. I asked Pacci what I would need to pay in addition for the new room, fully expecting to pay for an upgrade and he simply said that there would be no charge... Just go to the front desk and get your new keys. The new room was wonderful - stunning views... Thanks Pacci! Issues happen - how they are dealt with truly define the property. This is a great resort - in a wonderful area. Highly recommended!

ADERO Scottsdale Resort… beautiful location, incredible views, excellent amenities, clean, with friendly staff. Take some time to view the beautiful mountain sunsets! We will stay at the ADERO again!
- 4/5
overall stay was very nice. Room was not serviced one day and pillow case on bed had blood on it but was replaced. Pool heater was broken during our stay, unable to use, very disappointed. Staff was very friendly and professional Carmen, Ismael and Sumaiya to name a few. Not happy with $25 a day parking fee. Hotel was clean and food was good. We will return.
- 4/5
The hotel was just okay. Definitely not what I expected based on the reviews. We had a few issues prior to arrival and once checked in the staff was nice and they tried to fix issues that arose. The room does not come with a microwave they are supposed to have ones available to bring but they were out. There were a few weddings there so the hotel was crowded and made amenities less enjoyable. We were celebrating our anniversary they told us they’d bring us a bottle of champagne up however we never received it next day we asked another receptionist she did have it brought up which was nice. The patio had cheap uncomfortable furniture and we had a view of the parking lot which was terrible we asked to be switch but they couldn’t accommodate they said they were sold out. The breakfast was literally a croissant, melon, and a yogurt parfait. I would not stay here again I expected more luxury this just reminded me of any average hotel. Lastly we absolutely hated the restaurant ceilo I wish I could upload pics the food was overpriced and disgusting.

Rooms and the property is very nice. You do have to drive at least 20 minutes to nice nearby restaurants
- 5/5
Loved this resort. It is secluded and quiet. Beautiful Mountain views. Spa treatments were wonderful. Restaurant somewhat pricey but had delicious food and great service. Only shuttle service was to a golf course. Since pretty far out, wanted to rent a car but the hotel charges $25/day to park. Spent a lot on Ubers and lifts. Told by a tour guide who would not come to pick me up for a tour that Adero is not really in Scottsdale but is located in Fountain Hills, AZ.
- 3/5
highlight was the sparkling water station. also be aware it's very far from main areas of scottsdale.
- 5/5
We loved it all. Only place we were disappointed in was restaurant service. Food was great, once we got it. But server was very slow, especially on Friday morning. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name. The other two we had during our meals and stay were exceptional.

Beautiful hotel peaceful and relaxing
- 5/5
The room was beautiful and just outstanding! The pool was nice and the fact they had an adult only pool was great as well. The food was top of the line. Had great time looking at the beautiful view from my room and dining. I loved everything about this property
- 4/5
I love the views and the quiet. I didn’t like that parking wasn’t included in the resort fee. It should be one flat fee for all amenities including parking. I would like afternoon yoga options. I also would like a free shuttle to the property from the airport.
- 4/5
I enjoyed the property and the hotel amenities. I would have liked yoga class options in the afternoon. I am not likely to return because I didn’t appreciate charging for parking on top of a resort fee. Everything should be included in the resort fee. I also would appreciate being able to use my bonvoy points for fees.

- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Went out of their way to recognize our wedding anniversary.
- 4/5
I wanted so badly to give it an excellent review. The site is beautiful and the staff was so friendly. But the service AND parking fees makes me give this a 4/5 experience. Service fee states it includes spa access, which it does not. We booked a massage and were told we had access “for the day.” Honestly I would rather my hotel stay include the price of these fees. I’m sure it was in the fine print so I can’t fault them for existing, but it was not great seeing an additional 215 In fees on my bill.
- 3/5
No breakfast or coffee was available in the morning. We were told that the coffe shop is closed on weekdays, the restaurant was also closed in the morning so no breakfast was available for us on site. We had to travel away from the property for coffee and breakfast.
- 5/5
Thx so much for everything.

- 3/5
It was alright for the price.
- 5/5
This stay was amazing ! Wasn’t to far from the city about 15 minute drive from everything. 30 minute drive from the airport.
- 5/5
Service was amazing!!! We would definitely stay here again! Our only critique is the food options. The restaurant was very expensive. We found ourselves eating outside of the hotel more because of the cost and food selections
- 1/5
My hotel room was filled with bugs, both dead and alive. The hotel transferred me to another room and it still had moths. I checked out after one day due to this and have yet to get my refund. Terrible service
- 5/5
Staff very helpful and courteous.
- 3/5
There were not a lot of people there when I stayed at this resort. So the room options with a view were plentiful. So there was no reason for the check in person to give me a room with a parking lot view. I had to ask for a scenic view in which I paid for. The room and my view was beautiful after I requested the change. They advertise poolside service, in which I never received at the adult pool. The bartender by the restaurant was great. The food was pretty good at the restaurant. My overall experience I would give 3 stars. The beautiful resort I would give 5 stars.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great atmosphere, overall amazing place to stay.
- 5/5
The resort is stunning, but what truly sets it apart is the people. The staff are, without a doubt, the friendliest and most genuinely welcoming we’ve ever met. A special shoutout to Melinda at Cielo restaurant—she’s an absolute gem!

It was an amazing stay and the resort is beautiful. Will definitely be staying in my next visit.

- 4/5
Great property and the staff was really friendly. The only thing we didn’t like is all the extra fees. We thought we were getting a good deal for a two day getaway, but then all the sudden we got hit with a lot of extra fees at checkout which increased the bill by almost $200.
- 5/5
Great experience, staff was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Amazing resort, absolutely love it.
- 5/5
The property and views were amazing! Everyone was very accommodating. LOVED my massage and the spa. As well as the pool! Would return!

We had an amazing experience at Adero Scottsdale Resort. The resort is beautiful and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. Also the staff was so amazing and attentive. We cannot wait to come back!
- 4/5
That said, the poolside service could use improvement. We often waited 30 minutes to an hour just to place a drink order, and once placed, it typically took another 30–45 minutes to arrive. On two separate occasions, we were completely overlooked and ended up walking to the bar asking for service ourselves to get served. I had booked through Expedia and paid extra for a “Mountain View” room, but unfortunately, our view was mostly of the parking lot, with only a faint glimpse of the mountains in the distance — definitely not what I expected for the upgrade. I highly recommend choosing a room on the resort view side overlooking the pool; it’s absolutely stunning and truly feels like the kind of view the upgrade should cover. My reservation also included a 20% discount at the on-site restaurant, CIELO, along with complimentary valet parking. However, when I reviewed my receipt at checkout, none of those perks had been applied. I’m not sure if the issue was on Expedia’s end or the resort’s, but the front desk staff handled it right away — they adjusted the charges without any hassle and refunded the extra bundle fees I had paid for. Despite those hiccups, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the entire resort — including our room — was spotless and

The room, the pool and the views were all beautiful
- 4/5
Loved the views and the super quiet location away from the hustle and bustle. It was the quietest hotel we ever were at. The room service left a lot to be desired - while the room appeared clean...sheets were never changed in over a week, floor was never swept, one day no one showed up to service the room at all or bring fresh towels-It's "community" shampoo, soap and shower gel so if you don't like using someone else's stuff-you may want to take your own...everything else was great and we would stay again just because of the location and serenity. Fountain Hills is a beautiful town with MANY restaurants too we found the last day....so it is convenient to things within a couple miles. We will be back!
- 5/5
Beautiful resort! Very nice room and great service.
- 5/5
Great hotel!
- 3/5
I stayed here for my birthday and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The room I was given was in poor condition from the moment I walked in—there were dead bugs on the floor, dirty towels, and no robe, which was especially frustrating because I’d been looking forward to watching the sunrise on the balcony in comfort. When I mentioned the missing robe to staff, they didn’t offer to bring one for the rest of my stay, which felt dismissive. One window had no blinds at all, and the shower drain backed up every time I used it—water was pooling above my ankles within a couple of minutes. I reported the issue, and while they offered to move me, I was off property for most of the day and leaving the next morning. The hassle of switching rooms so late in the stay just wasn’t worth it. In my opinion, this room should’ve been marked out of order until the blinds and plumbing issues were fixed. It clearly wasn't ready for guests. To their credit, they did comp my dinner from the night before and waived the resort fees for two nights, which I appreciated. But overall, the stay didn’t feel like the relaxing birthday getaway I’d hoped for. A few other notes: Poolside service is extremely slow. The food menu is limited. The resort is fairly far out from central Scottsdale. I wish I had rented a car—Uber rides were $30–$50 each way to most places. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again unless major improvements are made.

ADERO is a smaller resort so was not crowded at all. Pool area was enjoyable, and again, not crowded or too loud. Restaurant (CIELO) had great food and even better views! All staff that we interacted with were very friendly and accommodating. Will be back.
- 3/5
What we liked: the area around the hotel was uniquely Arizona. The walking trails. Separate adult pool. The various classes they had. What we didn't like: the fake grass was so hot, I took two steps on it and both my feet were burnt and blistered. We were given drink coupouns that were next to impossible to use. Service at the adult pool was scattered and seemed like they didn't want to do it. Wasn't anything that would keep me from staying there but also wasn't blown away.
- 5/5
Thanks for a very relaxing stay.
- 5/5
Love this place and view is amazing!
- 5/5
This was such a beautiful resort I love the view and how cleaning the resort was. The room was beautiful and smelled amazing. I’ll definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Service was good. Only downfall was slow service at the pool. Food was great and loved the location to hiking. Spa was amazing!
- 2/5
Our patio was littered with cigar butts and water bottles. It was pretty disappointing. Staff at the bar first night weren’t super friendly. Didn’t seem to know what was going on and we practically had to beg the waiter at the pool to take our order. Just disappointing for the price.
- 5/5
I’m still in awe the view the staff the room everyone was attentive knowledgeable I felt very welcomed and safe I travel alone a lot so this was great my favorite place to stay for now on
- 5/5
Had a great stay
- 5/5
Amazing. We will be back
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at Adero. It is a beautiful Resort. The pool/grounds were kept pristine and the rooms were very clean. I do wish there were more less expensive dining options. There is only one restaurant and it is quite expensive for both food and drinks. They have another quick option to grab and go but it isn’t always open. Overall we loved it and would definitely go back. We would just plan on eating off site.
- 5/5
Good location! Very quiet.
- 5/5
We experienced a rainstorm while we were there, which is not normal. The room had a leak so they transferred us to a better room and credited us for one night for the inconvenience. I thought that was awesome, the staff was immediately attentive to every need that we had. The pool is an awesome pool, food was great, overall wonderful experience.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the views, delicious food and friendly staff!

Our stay at ADERO Scottsdale Resort was nothing short of amazing! The breathtaking views of the Sonoran Desert and the peaceful atmosphere made for a perfect getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The amenities were top-notch, from the beautifully designed rooms to the relaxing pool area. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh and flavorful options that started our mornings off right. Overall, an outstanding experience! We highly recommend ADERO Scottsdale Resort and can’t wait to return.
- 5/5
Very nice resort. Expect to stay again next time in Scottsdale.
- 3/5
The hotel is nice, grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately, the service in their restaurant was poor at best.
- 5/5
Gorgeous vista. Clean kind and quiet
- 5/5
The property was well kept, clean, nice and friendly staff. Valet & self parking have the same rate of $25 per night. This hotel only has six (6) floors so keep in mind when booking.

ADERO is a beautiful property located in an amazing area. The views are awesome and the food, chefs kiss. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely book again

- 5/5
Beautiful views, nice rooms
- 5/5
Great views , beautiful hotel
- 2/5
Overall it was a pleasant stay. All the last night of my trip. My wife and I used our drink vouchers. We then ordered mixed drinks. We watched the female bartender and her colleague fool around, flirt with each other, have a personal conversation with their backs to us and others who were looking to be served. I confronted her when I saw them packing up the alcohol and said bars normally let people know it’s last call before they stop service. This was at 9:30pm and the bar is stated to close at 10. Her response and her previous conduct was completely unprofessional. I was surprised a Marriot resort would employ someone with such a lack of customer service or service in general. In our room we did notice some unclean areas pictures posted below.
- 5/5
This resort was absolutely amazing. Very clean and the staff was amazing. The property is beautiful and so peaceful.
- 5/5
The view is amazing. The gym is spacious and has lots of equipment. We always enjoy our time.

- 5/5

Pricey
- 5/5
Loved the resort and staff so much we extened our stay and hope to return in the future.
- 5/5
Everyone at the Adero resort are friendly. The hotel room we stayed in on the top floor was very quiet. I will definitely advise my friends to stay here. The telescopes were set out, but wished we knew how to use them. Loved this hotel.
- 5/5
I have stayed before and will stay again! Most fabulous place, location and staff ever!
- 5/5
Beautiful resort in an out of the way area of Scottsdale in the hills... gorgeous views and property. Service and food were excellent. Rooms were very roomy and beds comfortable. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!
- 3/5
We were disappointed in the tennis situation and the staff’s lack of knowledge around how the availability works. We were also very disappointed in the lack of security into the building 24/7 all side doors are open. If my husband wasn’t with me I would not have felt safe in this property. The two bright points were location so close to really nice hikes and the bed and pillows were awesome!
- 4/5
we would certainly come back.
- 5/5
This resort is actually outside of Scottsdale in Fountain Hills. It's a bit of a drive to Scottsdale, but I enjoyed the less busy location. Beautiful walking paths and hiking trails. The park in Fountain Hills is beautiful. Cute restaurants, etc. The hotel is not large, but had everything we needed. The workout room is one of the best I have ever seen.
- 4/5
Service was low to non existent in most areas, which is a shame as the property and the area are beautiful.
