The downside? The building on the outside could use some work and the area around the hotel was suspect. However, as you walk toward downtown it gets better quickly. Since I was only looking for a place to crash for one night after a concert, it served its purpose. (Bonus: there is a takeout gyro restaurant next door that is open late. That was a pleasant surprise on the walk back from bars after the concert!)

This “motel” is in a disgusting state of disrepair. I won’t stay there again. I’ve stayed in some lousy hotels before but this one was the worst by far.
- 5/5
Convenient quiet, relaxing

Disgusting - I wish it gab actual photos. Waste of money we didn’t even stay. We had to find another hotel.

I only needed one night, I'm tight on funds, but I won't go back there. It was bare to nothing. I am grateful for the room, because I needed it. But not my recommendation. Pretty sketchy area.

The location. They seem to turn off the heat when they clean it. Completely off so the room was extremely cold we waited all night for the room to warm up by about 5 AM in the morning and we were only staying one night. We complained and were told by staff, it was cold outside and they couldn’t do anything about it. beds are extremely uncomfortable and lumpy.

Staff was attentive but the inn needs updating though. The heat wasn’t great, the bathroom was freezing and the front door to the room needs sealing. It has cold air from outside coming straight in and its 6 degrees outside. I’m happy with the price of the stay though, it’s a place to rest your head. It’s probably a great place to stay in moderate temperatures than the dead of winter.

Nothing People are living at the motel, hanging out in stairwells and sitting outside their rooms like a front porch, made it feel unsafe. Second night at 11:30 pm water started pouring from the ceiling in the bathroom and we had to change rooms. Next night the toilet was clogged after just flushing urine, no toilet paper. Motel in desperate need of repair and renovation. We left early even though we paid for another night.

The location didn’t look too safe and everything was very old and just didn’t look clean.

Parking was easy. Room was easy to find. In the morning my key card wouldn’t work and the woman behind the desk was really rude about it.
- 1.5/5
Convenient location The bedspread had stains, the coat rack was over a table so long clothes hang on the table. Bath towels were small and very rough, very thin blanket, had the heat turned very low so it took all night to heat up. It was a good thing I had a blanket in my car. Had to sleep with my socks on. Very had to turn on sink and tub faucets.

We did NOT stay here! Called the hotel to cancel and was told to contact booking agent. Called them and was on hold for much too long…The hotel called me back to see if I was coming or not and I told them AGAIN we could not come. They said can’t help us, call agent and gave no contact information. This is NOT a good partner who cares about you or your clientele!

I was terrified pulling into this property to stay the night. Once inside room it was fine but I am feeling very unsafe in this area. I do not recommend staying here

Older budget motel. Stained sheets, poorly supplied and maintained. Ended up leaving without staying. Mid-scale chain hotels within walking distance and closer to Proctors. Spend the extra cash.
- 2/5
Room was clean and mostly comfortable(except for cigarette burn hole in bedspread) but the area is very dicey..one needs to ring a buzzer to be let in to the front desk area
- 3/5
I went for two days for a family situation and I really have no complaints about the place, the place is very quiet apart from the fact that I was only 5 minutes walk to the family member's house and about 8 to 10 by car to Ellis hospital where we went frequently, I can't complain. Regarding the room I think they should give it a little remodeling it doesn't have to be so much but if some remodeling and put in the rooms microwaves!!! That would be super good..
- 1/5
The hotel room was just okay, but the area it is located is not safe. There appears to be either homeless or drug activity all around the area, I would not walk around here at night, and by day? I was approached twice in the parking lot by street people asking for change, even the guy with the empty gas can asking for money for his car. I don't see any reason to ever stay here again, Oh, and at night? I was woken up 6 times by police car sirens over the course of the night almost on the hour.
- 4/5
quite, easy parking and staff very helpful
- 4/5
Reception area in need of redecorating and present furniture should be removed if they no longer serve breakfast. Reception staff is not very welcoming.
- 5/5
My stay was beautiful and the only thing the room was a little cold i turned on the heat and it set one way it cold and wasn’t comfortable to sleep or shower
- 1/5
As I was approaching my location i could tell I made a mistake booking this place. It was in a run down slum area of town. I did not even get out of my car, Ijust turned around and left. The actual property the building was on was also very uninviting.
- 4/5
My stay was uneventful and the room was more than adequate for my short stay.

I do not recommend staying here at all. We felt very uneasy there. Not a place for anybody. Bad from top to bottom

The place was nice and clean very well keep
- 4/5
It was easy to find the motel and to enter into my room. Clean and convenient room. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants near downtown. Buses came by the motel. Walkable around and to downtown.
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. We didn’t even stay in the room 20 minutes. Went to the desk and asked for a refund or even a partial refund and the gentleman laughed at us and refused. The absolute worst hotel I’ve personally stayed at. Do not stay here ever!!!
- 4/5
Near city centre. Good location
- 5/5
Manager was really nice. Room was as pictured
- 3/5
Clean but dated and in need of repairs. Neighborhood sketchy. Staff nice.
- 1/5
This was avery unsafe neighborhood. We did not stay! We left and went on further into our trip. We had planned to go further anyway, but tropical storm hit fast and furiously. We booked this room last minute to escape the storm. Instead, we sat the storm out and moved on further.
- 5/5
A microwave in the rooms would be nice
- 5/5
I stay at this motel everytime I’m in Schenectady it’s convenient the staff is very nice the rooms are nice and clean and the price is great
- 3/5
Responsive staff and very clean room. But the room was cold, and I arrived late, so no time to get it warmed up before bed. And the bed itself was cold.
- 4/5
The room was clean, slept well. Overall a convenient stay. Wifi was limited though. Good pizza, burger place down the block.
- 3/5
The door to the room didn’t close properly with the door frame. No frig….noisy area
- 1/5
UNSAFE AND BROKE DOWN
- 3/5
Staff always under protected area do not inspire to trust the environment
- 3/5
They are basic rooms, no frills, no continental breakfast. If you want to check in late or check out early you have to ring a doorbell in the lobby and wait for one of the family members running the hotel to respond. The location is not in a great part of Schenectady. It didn't feel safe to go out of the hotel complex.
- 1/5
I drove by the property it didn't look bad,But the neighborhood was pretty rough looking so we opted not to stay there, unfortunately it was late in the day so probably going to be stuck with a bill
- 3/5
For the price of three nights rent, the management could have made the room nice, but did not. Could be fit for an executive, but not quite as luxurious as a tent.
- 5/5
Front desk manager was very friendly and helpful. This room was the cleanest of any hotel room I've ever stayed in!
- 1/5
Its a dump in a bad area. I just need someplace cheap to sleep for a night so it worked
- 1/5
The room was clean, the walls in the bathroom have been very poorly patched and painted poorly. Not a real safe area in my opinion. The mini frig wasn't working so guy at desk came and looked at it and said it was in 'economy mode'. Lost all my food overnight, had to go to grocery store to get more food and ice. They replaced the unit that night but I didn't trust it. Front desk said I couldn't get a discount for my loss and inconvenience because I reserved room through Expedia!!!
- 2/5
Property in excellent clean condition. But the staff were consistently unpleasant, all of them, sadly. I was spoken to as if I were a wayward girl from reform school. They softened, but I had to bend over backwards to be extra nice. When Housekeeping knocked on my door, I called out several times that I would be right there, which I was but they continued to knock as if I'd said nothing. It felt like harassment. I'd experienced this same almost bullying tactic in 2 other budget hotel. Being pleasant anyway didn't seem to make a difference. Also,I asked 3 staff for TWO rolls of toilet paper. And I was given only one. It's embarrassing to feel they are being so stingy with the toilet paper. Probably trying to make sure no one hoards it, which makes sense. But for Heaven's sake, stop being so controlling! Also, rather than have the dumpster emptied regularly and on time, one staff member was seen to be standing on top of the garbage in the dumpster trying to pack it down. Another money-saving device? For what they charged me $135.60 a night, they should have enough money to run the place without hoarding toilet paper and avoiding paying for the dumpster to be emptied on time. Finally, on my day of check out, there were 3 of us waiting for the manager to check us out. But he was doing something with housekeeping. So each of us individually had to seek him out and give him our card key, with no confirmation from computer that we would not be charged another day
- 1/5
Horrible
- 1/5
The neighborhood with prostitutes and drug deals going down felt so unsafe we left and found another hotel even though we lost our payment.
- 3/5
Bathroom fan was caked in dust. Water pressure was extremely low. TV had many channels. That area of downtown Schenectady is not very nice with people that look like they're down on their luck. Front desk person didn't enjoy her job and it showed. She was not a happy camper. Hotel was in a convenient spot, but a lot of businesses were closed.
- 3/5
The rooms were clean but the outside was run down and the stairs up to our room were in rough shape. Also, the neighborhood was sketchy at best. The interior was dated and the beds were not very comfortable.
- 1/5
Against my better judgement I checked in. I was in my room less than a minute when a man started knocking on my door. I didn't answer and soon a second man arrived and told the first man he saw me go in. Then the first man pounded on the door saying "I know you're in there b*tch. I'm going to knock this door down and kill you." I called 911. Police came and stayed with me while I told the clerk I was checking out and got to my car and drove out. They suggested I stay at the Double Tree not far away and I did - which was very safe, clean and comfortable. Do not stay here - it doesn't matter how cheap it is; your life and safety is worth more.
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in my life! The room was dirty with bugs and insects all over the rooms( I book 2 rooms). They were smelly and moldy. The air conditioner wasn’t working and the place was so bad I just left and drive back home.( 5 hours) This place should be shut down.
- 4/5
We needed a clean inexpensive place to stay for a graduation. This suited us just fine. I am very fussy about clean. Don’t let the street view of the building fool you. The room was freshly painted and clean. It’s an inexpensive motel.
- 1/5
My wife and I did NOT stay once we saw this property. People outside yelling and screaming and people in the lobby yelling and screaming. The man behind the desk looked confused and frustrated and my wife did not get out of the car. This was not a safe place to be. We left.
- 5/5
Good value for money. Clean.
- 4/5
My stay was comfortable, room was clean, good air conditioning, all amenities provided, towels were clean. There were no coffee maker in the room, and only a microwave in reception area. The building itself needs renovation, the name Executive Inn was covered, we recognized the building by Number. It's good when there's no fuss. We went for a funeral so it was okay. In the future, if I don't have anywhere to stay, I will consider it again.
- 4/5
Decorated and good size bed
- 4/5
...they graciously accepted a very late arrival.
- 1/5
Staff was rude. Internet didn't work
- 3/5
My room was as clean as could be. The outside looks like a nice painting and glass cleaning. A lot of noise late at night fireworks Motors horns sirens. The room price was cheap. So you get what you pay for but the room was exceptionally clean with refrigerator iron the room is as nice as anybody else's
- 1/5
Dirty, unsafe area. Staff rude. Called front desk and first response to call was “What?”
- 1/5
It was disgusting, dirty, horrible. This place needs to be closed!
- 1/5
The person at the desk said they had no Expedia reservation. Took him half an hour to find it. Then the room he gave us had a dead refrigerator (and the hotel ice machine didn’t work) and what appeared to be an abundance of semen stains all over the sheets. He wouldn’t return our money, and we left anyway. It was gross. Had to spend a lot at a real hotel nearby. Not happy.
- 1/5
It is a dump.
- 1/5
When I went to check in, the door was locked and the only people around in the parking lot were trying to sell me drugs.
- 1/5
Scary and unsafe. Terrible area with drug deals taking place visibly and shady scary people in and out of the parking lot yelling, screeching tires etc. Room was clean but had big stain on bedspread. After 15 minutes we left even though we lost about $200 because it was no refundable. Front desk person Rick and owner or manager Mr. Patel refused any refund and did not even apologize.
- 1/5
Terrible u safe location and homeless. Filthy
- 1/5
This property is in the middle of the ghetto. Thier are crack houses on both sides, dont believe me use google maps street view. I refused to stay and when i told them that they charged me over a hundred dollar fee. How this is even on orbits is unreal.
- 1/5
Room was "nonsmoking" but smoke rolled out the door as soon as I checked in and unlocked the door. Not just a trace of smoke but like a bar from the 70's. Being July 4th there were fireworks going off all night. Not just the legal displays but heavy illegal (non commercial) fireworks going off all around the hotel until about 3am, when it dwindled down to occasional firecrackers or gunshots in the neighborhood. The lobby was locked , you had to be buzzed in and then there was clerk behind a glass wall with a small hole in it to pass ID & key card. "Very welcoming!" No coffee pot or microwave in the room. No coffee & dounuts in the lobby. I travel commercially and spend about 1 week a month in hotels over the past 50 years. This is the 2nd worst hotel room I have ever had.
- 2/5
When i filled out on here i had to pay extra for breakfast and there is no breakfast.
- 4/5
Good experience at this Inn. The town~~~~ Is very much slum area,, but no problem with the Inn.
- 5/5
Breafast for guests
- 3/5
Was ok, a lady was rude. No microwave or fridge in room.
- 1/5
The property was in need of repairs. And there is no room service. The rooms also do not contain microwaves, so if a guest wants to heat up their food they must go the front office to do so. And in order to get into the front office you must be buzzed in by staff.
- 1/5
No one was there.
- 5/5
The owners are nice at times they not they can be rude but the rooms are clean you walk in and feel comfortable the condition of the ceilings and walls could use some maintenance looks like the roof leaks rugs could use washing its not that bad probably sounds worse then it really is overall its comfortable they could use microwaves in the rooms along with refrigerators i rented a room that had both but then there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room the front desk said they dont supply that only in the office is a microwave so why say my room would have them both and nothing actually there Schenectady itself i wouldn't recommend staying in Schenectady its not safe at all
- 4/5
The hotel is a bit older but clean and the staff very nice.

THIS PROPERTY IS A DISGRACE TO HOTELS.COM. THEY WOULDN'T COME TO MAKE UP THE BED OR CLEAR THE GARBAGE; THE EXCUSE GIVEN WAS THE CARONA VIRUS & THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER ROOMS. THEY DON'T HIRE A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING CREW BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SAVE MONEY SO THEY DO IT THEMSELVES. NEVER AGAIN AT THIS PROPERTY. THEY ARE THE MOST UNFRIENDLY HOSTS. GET RID OF THEM FROM YOUR LISTING. THEY'RE NOT FIT TO BE PART OF THE HOTELS.COM FAMILY. THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED. DURING CHECK OUT, THERE WAS A WOMAN WHO TOLD ME TO DROP THE ROOM KEY IN THE MAIL BOX. THEY WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME IN. THERE WAS NO PEN OR PAPER IN THE ROOM. NO COFFEE MAKER IN THE ROOM. NO PROVISIONS FOR EXTRA BLANKETS OR COMFORTER. AT CHECK INTO THE ROOM, THE ROOM WAS NOT AIRED & THE AIR CONDITIONER & REFRIGERATOR WERE BOTH DISCONNECTED. GAPING HOLES IN THE SHOWER STALL: BOTH THE CEILING & SHOWER ITSELF HAS HUGE HOLES. EXCEPT FOR BODY LOTION, 2 BARS OF SOAP & 1 TUBE OF SHAMPOO, THERE WAS NO SHOWER CAP, NO CONDITIONER.
- 5/5
The stay here was Convenient and friendly and affordable
- 1/5
Advertised Breakfast and there was absolutely none. The Hair Dryer outlet was broken and even pressing the circuit breaker button reset did not work for the room's hair dryer or the outlet itself. When try to call front desk, no one answered. When checking in, No one was there. I would like a credit for the inconvenience and fraudulent advertising.
- 1/5
Their was roaches, the ice machine wasn’t even there, No breakfast, NO microwave in the room, no amenities I’m disgusted I have videos of the roaches in the room I was on also
- 4/5
The front desk worker was rude when I got into my room the front door like it had been busted the bathroom door had about 3 to 4 big old dents on it they don't have a microwave door refrigerator and it was a hole in the wall I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone
- 1/5
Door locked i guess but did not close all the way. There was no 2nd lock. Tv from 90's. Smell from office to room horrible

Stay only if budget is tight.

Breakfast was included in the reservation, however there was nothing put out and when inquired the attendant said the coffee maker is not working,

This property, by far, is the most poorly run business (hard to even call it a business) I have ever been to. It was pathetic, to say the least. The rooms are disgusting, smell like stale smoke and whatever other disgusting things that have gone through the room. My key failed to work at 2:30 am, and when I went to get it fixed, the doors were locked and I had to press a doorbell to get service, after about 15 minutes. The bathroom was disgusting, and under the board that the shower head was mounted on there was a nest of centipedes. Checked all over prior to touching anything for signs of bed bugs etc... luckily I didn’t find any and my two nights there I didn’t get any sort of bites, surprisingly. Also, I asked for the “free WiFi” password, and they just didn’t know it. The location could not be worse, in the about 8 hours total I was in the room, I heard about 15 sirens, and one person yell out “you gon die today”. Do NOT. And I repeat DO NOT! Ever get a room at this hotel, spend the extra money, please, do yourself a favor, find a different hotel.
- 1/5
They had 1 microwave in front & nu Breakfast
- 1/5
Very outdated, but I could deal with that. Toilet bowl loose, no rods on towel racks, knobs missing on dressers, holes walls and doors, phone cord cut (no jack), cigarette burns in bedding. Deadbolt didn’t work, had to prop chair under door handle. Some would say I get what I pay for. I have stayed at America’s Best before. Typically a no frills, but clean place to lay my head down. Was in town for a family gathering.... knew that I would only be in the room to sleep and wash up in the morning. Needless to say... didn’t get much rest and checked out as early as we could. I don’t need all the luxuries of a five star, but would like a clean room, with the items they claim to have, and the basic continental breakfast I was supposed to get.
- 2/5
Service was terrible. No one at the front desk for over an hour.
- 1/5
Expedia must NOT have this hotel on its database. It reflects poorly on Expedia. I had been using EXPEDIA for last 10+ years and usually all is good. I stayed second time at this hotel since i needed to pick our son from the close by university and wrote to expedia then as well to have services of this hotel improve or atleast notify the hotel owner to improve. NOTHING WAS DONE BY EXPEDIA. THIS SHOWS POORLY ON EXPEDIA AS WELL. PLEASE HAVE THIS HOTEL REMOVE FTOM YOUR DATABASE. IT OFFERS NOTHING WHAT IT SAYS ON AMENITIES. THIS LIST IS TOO BIG, NO PROFESSIONAL STAFF AVAILABLE, NOT EVEN COFFEE MAKER ON ROOM, STAFF IS TOTALLY NEGLIGENT THAT THEY ARE RUNNING A HOSPITALITY BUSINESS.
- 2/5
Room clean. Check in slow despite having booking info all there upon arrival. Was told continental breakfast started 7:30. (Never seen one starting that late ever) We were on a schedule, but wanted a quick coffee and toast, so waited until 7:30. At 7:30 had to wake front desk, NOTHING ready for breakfast, I mean NOTHING. Booked this room over others in area because it offered the continental breakfast. Absolutely pathetic! Had to get going, left with bad taste in my mouth and it certainly was not from breakfast as we could not wait around. I would guess front desk just went back to bed when we left.
- 1/5
Dirty. Thats all i have to say. Very dirty dont reccomend
- 2/5
Hotel amenities do not exist - no micro or fridge even though it's listed- they didn't have smoking room available even though it was confirmed booking begrudgingly they finally put us in a room - listened to them screaming at other hotel guests in am - tried not to spend much time there over the 2 days we rented room - not worth hassle of staying here
- 3/5
The room could have been a little cleaner, the ice machine was broken, I had no toilet paper in my room
- 2/5
Breakfast was not served on time
- 3/5
I only booked it because it's was close to my job, but other than that, I dont really have no feedback about the place beside I m only there for business
- 2/5
The room was clean except for the bathroom. It was clean except for a small pile of "stuff" under the exhaust fan vent. It seemed odd, but it was fine. Until about midnight when we heard a noise coming from inside the vent. I saw something white moving around. When i turned on the fan, it got caught twice and then went away. We heard it again the next morning. This time when i turned the fan on it stayed caught. I informed the front desk when we were checkingout. When she finally made it to the desk, she seemed unalarmed and said she will call pest control. No apology, no mention of compensation for the disturbance. I got my receipt and left.

Room was full of bed bugs. Flees horrible feeling
