Size of suite was excellent! Very well laid out and comfortable. I extended my stay one week and received no new towels, no garbage pick up, and room next door had garbage piled in bags for several days on landing.

The space that is available in the apartment. The pool was not clean when we arrived. The bedroom headboard was peeling. The couch was out dated, couch cushions were flat.

Great experience. We'll definitely return!

our room could've definitely benefitted from a remodel. the sofa and headboard were in rough shape and there were specks of paint on the carpet and other surfaces from the last time it was painted. our in-room phone blinked for four days. we were on the third floor and the stairs were cracked, dirty, and creaky. the top step was a different depth than the other stairs which makes it a safety issue.

Really enjoyed the stay. Have been staying here every year for 4 years and every time I get more people to book here. It's great.

Location was great! Too much noise upstairs....heavy walking and talking. 1st experience. Problem between Sonesta and booking .Com. Unfortunately chose to project the problem on us. (US THE CUSTOMER). The anxiety of waiting in the sitting area as Sonesta and Hotel.com fought it out over the phone was almost worth bailing out of the arrangement completely. Scary start to 45th wedding celebration.

The location was good. My room had a strange odor and an overall worn appearance. For example, the headboard was full of scratches that clearly showed it was old and used. While the price was good, I expected a bit better.

We chose to stay here because we’re Vegan and could bring our own food. The room was clean, the property was clean, it was quiet, staff was very professional. We will definitely stay the next time we’re in Chicago. Also the location was great.

Clean spacious rooms that could use some updating. Biggest complaint was the smell of smoke in our room. Leaving the room at 7:30am the next morning the smell of marijuana was awful.

The couch in the room was all sunk in and hard to to sit. No shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in the bottle. The breakfast was terrible and everything was cold. I have to check out within 24 hours instead of 3 days planned. The receptionist didnt care when i told her about all this. When i asked about refund she just didnt care as i booked the room with Expedia.

Breakfast changed daily, but they still had the staples of cereal, toast, bagels. Everything was hot and delicious.

Love sonesta suites

The room was clean, although had a unique smell. Apparently that was just our room as our friends room did not have the same smell. Our hot water went in and out during a shower. And the food selection was okay but not great for the type of hotel you’re staying in.

All of our needs were met, and the property is dog-friendly. Value is good, especially for Chicago area. The bed was especially comfortable, and there is an excellent breakfast every morning.

We love the 2 bedroom suite. Lots of space. Comfy beds. Very clean.

No early check in. The room showed significant signs of wear and tear, paint was peeling/flaking throughout, headboard was flaking into the pillows, and not sure what detergent they use for the towels but it made my family break out into itchy hives.

The fold out couch bed was broken which made it unusable as both a couch or a bed. Even if the bed frame had worked there was not a mattress or extra bedding. I had to request blankets so that my child could sleep on the floor. The person who helped us was very kind. There was nothing else he could do at 9:30 at night. The hot water in the sink did not work. You turned the handle and no water can out. The shower only half worked, when you turned the water up warm enough to stand under then there was hardly any water pressure. I was told the manger was busy and could not address these issues at check out but he could call. He has not

The room next door was vacant the entire time I was there and I felt like someone may have been in and out of the room as it wasnt locked or closed. I also should have done more research as the main lobby was a separate building which was not convenient.

We travelled here for our kid's cheer competition and it was not ideal for letting kids hang out as they would have to walk outside to meet their friends. For it being February and cold, the draftiness was less than ideal. I definitely won't return, but we made the most of it.

I know this was an extended stay but the room needed to be upgraded. It wasn’t the cleanest. I found m and m’s on the floor from previous guests. The headboard was peeling, there was a red stain and some other stains on the carpet. Outside my room were two broken chairs. It was runned down. The space is great. It was nice to have a kitchen and it was nicely supplied but I wouldn’t stay here again. The pictures appear to be a courtyard but there are multiple apartment type buildings you stay in.

Accommodations were fantastic. Very clean. Great breakfast selection. But the absolute highlight was the staff. I have nothing bad to say at all. We will definitely stay there again.

The customer service is great. The people who works there are bice and the place and rooms are clean. Will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I did love the layout of the room, the location was convenient, and the hotel staff were very nice. However, there was a terrible smell coming from drains to the point it woke me up each night it smells like a weird mix of rotten food and sewer, I complained serval times and was told each time that maintenance would take a look the following day but nothing was touched each day I arrived. No house keeping during the week, and the furniture was all falling apart or had cheap cloth thrown on it to cover the shredded plether.

Room was anything but spotless when we entered. Ground was covered in dried up salt residue, used coffee packets on the counter, dirty rag on the stove. Beds were made and appeared clean. We had a one night stay so we put up with it. Notified the front desk at checkout and I was given a “I’m sorry”. Room set up was great for having two couples stay in one room. Cannot say I will be back due to not taking responsibility for not having a clean room to walk into

The room was clean, the only thing that I would recommend is if you have a sofa bed, there should be sheets and blankets for the sofa bed as well not just for the beds.

Great concept for travelling families - we had a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and a living room with pull out sofa bed. The sofa and chair were vinyl with hardly any cushioning and were very uncomfortable. The pull out sofa bed was thin and stained. The kitchen was decent and well equipped. All the walls in the entire suite were faded and full of scuff marks and stains and felt dirty. The carpeting had multiple large stains on it. The dining table looked like it was made of scrap material and had been repaired multiple times. Also, a large garbage can that was full was placed 2 feet outside of our only entry door - YUCK!! This place, at least our area, is in desperate need of some updating and TLC!!!

We arrived after a cold snap, and the first room they gave us smelled of sewer gas, possibly due to a frozen pipe issue? We'll, the front desk was amazing about this, giving us a new room without issue while they looked into the problem. New room smelled great, and breakfast was amazing! Do recommend.

I really like this Sonesta. Over the past year and a half, I have stayed here on various occasions, including for work-from-home getaways, date nights with my husband, a slumber party for my daughter's birthday, and simply to take a break from the daily routine of motherhood. This Sonesta is always clean, reliable, and the staff is courteous and professional.

Cannot review this property due to the cancellation of my reservation, found out after traveling to have the front desk tell me that the reservation has been cancelled by his manager. Biggest problem is that the hotel did not cancel thru Expedia which left up to me to get me $ back. Very dishonest company

The body wash & shampoo containers were empty. About 3 sheets of toilet paper on the roll. There were no dishes or pots and pans available. We left our room to return and someone put dishes in our room. The internet was not working, had to be connected to the VIP internet. The telephone was not working and each time we contact the office with an issue, via our telephone, we were to come to the office to get what we need. So they wanted us to walk back & forth in the snow storm. This was a terrible experience, and I'll never consider this location again. I stayed at the lombard location, a few times and it was a great stay, each time. I was told that the manager will call, still have not received a call.

Our room was clean, there was chipping paint in every room. We requested rooms next door to each other. I was told by J that they would be together, but when we got there that wasn't the case. Both bathrooms was out of the hand soap. It rained and there were wet leaves around the property for two days.

Provide enough towels for the amount of people per days

Check in and out was easy. Breakfast buffet was a good selection. Many kitchen amenities in the room. Room was generally clean. Could use some fresh paint and a vent cleaning. The little shoppe offers many snacks and other items for purchase if needed.

I felt bad for the person at the Front Desk. There were 4 ppl checking in at the same time asI and only 1 person to check in all those ppl in. I was also unhappy that i ordered 2 rooms and they were in 2 buildings. The front desk person did not offer no information. I must say at least he tried, but i do believe the line caused him to get nervous and rushed through everything or lack customer service.

There was no problem with stay. It was a 4 star but am rating this as 1 because they have charged my card after the stay for $100 without and notification or reason.

This property is serviceable, and has good location and a very nice breakfast and front desk staff going for it. Working against it is a very average room and other amenities quality. This feels more like a ho-hum airbnb that is well worn, but decently clean with all the basics present. Our room had a stained and very worn couch, headboard throw pillows, and carpets. Baseboards were filthy, and there was dust all over the tv, lampshades and cobwebs in the vents. Our shower and sink soaps/shampoos were all empty. The "gym" had three cardio machines, cobwebs in every corner, no towels, sanitizer, wipes or water (containers for all, but empty). Overall the room is passable, but not great. Plusses include a very nice lobby with a good breakfast, well outfitted kitchen in the room, convenient parking by each room as it is set up like an apartment complex, and close to all area attractions.

Carpet stained & rooms need updating

The room I booked was not what I was given then I was told those rrooms were already all booked. Upon arrival at the room there were several suitcases a wheelchair and a shower chair right outside the door. The inside was disgusting there were cigarettes butts the floor. And apparently the hotel Reno ed those items that were outside the door from this room and the previous guests. They proceeded to try to enter the room during our short time there. I called the front desk and they basically said there was nothing they could do and to contact the 3rd party that I booked though and did not allow me to cancel. We left and found another hotel do not stay here. Worst experience I have ever had at any hotel ever.

The room itself was decent, however it appears rundown (e.g. peeling paint on the walls and floor, smelly garbage disposal, and the floors weren't very clean). The heater was extremely loud and when turned on made metallic scraping noises. We reported this the next morning but didn't see any change. The heat also often started blowing cold air, and needed to be turned on and off a few times to reset. There are lots of good reviews, so maybe we got unlucky. But I would not recommend this property.

The hotel ead clean, the room was specious. I can see it being a good fit for a family or groups. Less accomodating in my opinion to a business traveler. The hot water provided wss not hot at night or in the morning. There was no hand or bottled water in my room when i arrived tired late night. The front desk did not care much. When I asked him about the hand soap, he apologized as instructed by the company (I saw the company note on how to deal with a situation). He did not appear sincere or empathetic and brushed it off by saying sorry we have no soap. He did not ask the cleaning crew if they any and send it. Having no hand soap is unheard of. Even in a motel you get it. One of the service guys outside that was helping me with reactivating my door card asked the cleaning ladies and he gave me soap, which tells me that there was no effort from the front desk to help. Another issue, I would have prefered having instructions about breakfast and checkout times electronically. I looked in all my messages and it was not there. Just before checkout, I found a small paper note with instructions. This was stessful for me as I was in a rush. I recommend that you do like others and have it all in the checkin email. Also, it would be great if provide 1-2 bottles of water in the room and fruit for breakfast. Breakfast was minimal. The late night front desk person Panni and the outdoor service guy were curteous and helpful. Thank you for making my stay nicer.

The two bedroom suite was perfect for our couples! Being able to bring the dog along and to easily take her out, made the our choice to stay with you even better!

Easy Parking, Pet Friendly, Great Staff - However, Super Noisy. Other guests with pets and other people in and out all evening. The facility is clean and very spacious. The Interior furnishings are all vinyl so I felt like I was in a hospital. Not super comfortable furniture. The bed had nice clean linens and the bed was comfortable. The shower didn't work. Did not discover this until trying to pull the shower stop and it was stuck. I did report this to the staff.

There were some issues with the bathroom. The shower seat had mold on it and the shower walls need replastering. Also, there were a lot of spiders and spider webs that need cleaning.

Then when we went to get ready for bed we realized that they had not even provided any soap for us to wash our hands with.

The room was nice and spacious. The check-in process was smooth. The area was quiet and I felt safe. There were a few issues with cleanliness. We had to clean the bathrooms before using them. One of the bathrooms had two empty soap dispensers in the shower with dried up soap and no soap at the sink to wash hands. Also, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the dishes in the cabinet were half cleaned. There was no linen available in the room for the let out couch. When I called the front desk I was told I had to walk over and get them from the front desk. It would have been more convenient if room service was avaliable to bring the items to the room or if the items were available inside the room as it is at a standard hotel, especially since we had to go outside and drive over to the front desk area. Overall, it was a good stay and with these things addressed, I would stay again.

1. No internet service in the room they gave me a number to call and those people said that there is no box close enough to reach our room for service. With that being said I called office again and I requested a new room the next day they said ok but in the morning we decided screw it because we bought food and had many things that we would of had to pack up put it in car then go to new room and then again unpack !! 2. There was no shampoo or body wash in the containers in 1 bathroom and the other bathroom there was only 1 shampoo with nothing in it and the other 2 ripped out of canister. 3. 1 roll of toilet paper I would of assumed if the room was taken care of before we checked in this would of been taken care of! 4. I spoke to the front desk and he apologized that this shouldn’t of happened but it did and they did NOT offer us anything I had some work to complete and I had to use my data hot spot to get on my computer. 5. New ownership has taken over this property maybe there just not situated yet and as I said this is the 4th time being at this property but they should of offered a free night or something but we got nothing and my reservation was Friday through Monday we packed and left on Sunday after pre paying for the room!!!

Staff was excellent, breakfast was great. However the bathroom could have been swept. There was hair all over the floor behind the door. There was also crumbs or something on the couch and desk chair. The headboard should be replaced since it's peeling. And maybe shampoo the carpet.

Easily one of the worst properties I stayed at. Outdated, dirty and undermaintained. The only good thing about the property was a night front desk staff who was very polite, courteous and attentive.

Stain on carpet, doors were dirty. We missed our first day, and never got to take advantage of breakfast. Heater was blowing cold air, and no one did anything! We were cleaning up and loading the car after 1100am. They charged me $100.

Everything was good except for breakfast. There were not much vegetarian options. There was nobody to answer questions about whether items in breakfast had eggs or not. The lady who was stocking up the food seemed to not want to talk to anybody. Probably because she was not comfortable speaking english.

Then I will switch to another room. It was no no better. It’s all you make it all this money off this Hotel it’s time to fix it up the rooms clean the carpet hire a new staff to help you keep your hotel up and running

We were assured that the pool would be open during our stay. However, when the kids went to swim in the morning, we were told it was closed for maintenance, with a promise that it would reopen that afternoon. When afternoon came, the pool was still closed. This cycle of promises continued for several days, until we finally decided to leave and move to another hotel. The most disappointing part was that every time we asked, we were told it would open "in a couple of hours," yet it never opened at all during our entire stay.

Unfortunately, the pool was closed for chemical problems during my entire stay, and I was unable to use it even once. This amenity was the deciding factor in selecting this property, to relax in the mornings with my kids for one last family vacation before my oldest son left for deployment. This property location was an hour drive from the Navy base, so I incurred extra expenses for a rental car, gas, tolls, lost sleep driving and lost the main purpose of booking this hotel. Since the advertised amenity was not provided, I requested a partial refund and was denied. I’m not very happy about this at all.

Would not stay there again

Our third room was decent, but not great. I left my pants in the first room, which I received in the morning. The manager was able to smell the room and agreed that we should have been moved. When I returned to my room I went to the kitchen and noticed all the yucky imperfections. I opened up the dishwasher and it had dirty dishes and food in it. After closing the dishwasher door, I looked down and saw a roach. At that point I requested a refund and checked out. I received my refund and our four day trip was cut down to one day. The manager was very prompt and nice. But the rooms are a disgusting mess and waste of money.

This Sonesta was not what I usually experience at the Sonesta Hotels we’ve stayed at. I rented a 2 bedroom and my wife and I shower was broke, they had to send someone to come fix it while my daughters was there. They felt uncomfortable so as myself to have someone come fix a broken shower and they didn’t compensate for the night. Front desk lady said they don’t do that which is very disappointing and dissatisfying. We will not be coming back to that Sonesta also a customer left prior to checking in telling the front desk his room was dirty, with blood stains on the curtains, not going back sorry.

Very outdated, all areas of the rooms have peeling paint, cracked walls, sticky carpet.

The room next to ours was having a birthday party and there was a dozen kids running and yelling up and down the stairs and in front of our bedroom window and room door from 7 until after midnight and the staff did nothing to stop it even though they said they were not allowed to have a party. It wasn't until two hours after the 10 pm quiet time that they made them be quiet after I said I was going to call the police.

We absolutely love this property. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is awesome! Appreciate everything!

We had a couple issues at the start pf our stay, (With cleanliness of our room and a broken shower) but they made both things right as soon as I asked and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. My only complaint is the pool is really rough and my kids all ended up with skimmed toes and knees.

This was our 2nd time at this property and this time very disappointed. We got into the room and realized there was no toilet paper so we called and they said well you have to come down to the office and get some. My response was why wasn’t there any and why do I have to come get it when there should have been some in the room!! Next there was no bedding in the room for the pull out couch so we called again later that evening and once again sorry you have to come get it!! The kitchen table had sticky crap all over it and the one shower had hair all over it! I spent around 900 for 4 nights and very disgusted by the way our room was it was like they didn’t really clean it!! Last but not least the pool wasn’t the cleanest and had leaves floating around!! I asked to speak to management and I was told someone would contact me but guess what nobody did!!!

The property was okay. Unfortunately it wasn’t as nice as we thought it would be, and there were several difficulties with check in, which took a while. Some of the guests ahead of us were also rude when we were checking in so I think that started it off a bit negatively. There wasn’t really a manager on site while we were there to help deal with issues. The cleanliness was okay, but the soaps were leaking which made it seem like they had been opened ahead of time. Overall it wasn’t the worst experience but it wasn’t the best either.

We came here 2 years ago and had a great experience with just a couple quirks that we reported at check out (one was what looked like small mold spores in the bathroom that we were told would be handled immediately). So, naturally we sought out the same location for our trip back. Bad idea. From dried urine in the bathroom, someone’s leftover eyelashes by the coat rack, dead bugs on the wall, no batteries in the remotes, no sink shield over the disposal, no way to use the phones, the list goes on and on. Not to mention, the mold multiplied and then some. I’m honestly disgusted that we slept there but we didn’t even arrive until after 9pm and had two little to get in bed. 10/10 will not recommend or return. If we had more than one nights reservation, we would have cancelled and moved for the rest of the trip.

Couch was destroyed from someone’s pets, food on counter from previous guest, shower not cleaned, no soap in dispensers, hair all over bathroom floor. Not clean and honestly very disappointed.

This was a last minute reservation and never been to the hotel before. Great location in Schaumburg near shopping and many dining options. No problem with the checkin but then couldn't find the room. Asked a nice man and was directed to the room. We had a unit with refrigerator but we quickly found out it didn't work. Let management know and we did have service on 5he refrigerator. The man tried to make it better but after 45minutes he left thinking that it was working. Unfortunately it was not working . The pool was closed as well and that's what we came there for in the 1st place. Didn't make any free breakfast for the hours were early. They're currently new owners and hope they'll make some needed improvements.

Checked and got a room with a non functioning toilet then got moved to a new room. This room had a slip cover over sofa and headboard in one room that was falling apart. Internet did not work in room so I need to take all my business calls from the breakfast area with music blaring overhead. Only 2 spoons in a room meant for 4. Location advertised a pool but it was not open - just had rain water in it. Every morning breakfast was gone by 8:15 and not restocked. Advertised herbal tea- there was only Lupton, advertised potatoes - was there 5 days and never saw a potato. Staff was very friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay. Spacious rooms and to have your own kitchen to cook in really saved money. Staff are very friendly snd helpful.

Like a mini apartment and although I didn’t bring a pet, they are pet friendly.

solid spacious preflight stay for a family

OMG. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Very comfortable. I’m thinking I will always stay here when visiting Chicago. And they staff was very friendly and helpful and so welcoming nice 🤗🦋❣️🌞

The room we stayed in had a queen size bed and I reserved a king size suite and their was used hair ties on the dresser and the kitchen lights were not working

Room was not clean..complimentary lotion, shampoo, and gel was half full..all the coffee was decaf and had been opened..No sugar..poor housekeeping

I stayed at the Sonesta ES Suites Chicago - Schaumburg for seven days. It was excellent, the location was quiet, clean, safe, and walkable to nearby places to eat. I will stay again.

The property is in a nice, quiet location and having the two separate bedrooms is a plus when traveling with kids. The only negative was that the pool is outdoors and the floor in the room didn't look like it had been vacuumed.

As an apartment type of extended stay hotel there was no daily service, but that did not matter to me. The heater/ac unit was pretty loud when it came on, but it was near the kitchen and not anywhere near where I was sleeping so it didn't bother me. Vira at the front counter was very nice and helpful.

Always a great place to stay for our girls weekend, nice layout, staff are very accommodating. My one suggestion would be to keep the temp cooler in the workout room, especially with no fan built into the treadmill. Otherwise a great stay.

It seemed clean upon arrival. The free breakfast wasn't appealing. The pancake machine was broken. My rom was nice but my showers how water was lacking. I would stay here again. These are minor issues that im able to deal with

My check-in experience was nice and accommodating for my early arrival and higher floor request. The lobby and area around the property seemed quiet during the day, but it was pretty loud at night. It sounded like someone was arguing. The unit where we stayed was outdated. The couch and chairs in the front room were old, worn & dirty. The carpet in the entry to one of the bedrooms was very frayed. The entire carpet had a dirty feel with various stains throughout the unit. One of the bedroom closets was not completely cleaned, as there was a sock on the floor and a used towel on the shelf. The interior could definitely use some updating.

The property was very spacious however the heat was a little off and the water kind of dripped in the bath tubs in room 1321. Overall the place was good and I would definitely stay again.

I loved the spaciousness of the 2 bed 2 bath accommodations. It was great!

My family and I have stayed at this hotel several times over many years, and have watched it's service continously decline. There was blood on my children's pillow cases, popcorn behind the television, clogged bathroom sink, and overall decline of aesthetics. The manager did reduce the room rate once I discussed my concerns, but not appropriately based on the concerns. Based on our last few experiences here, this will be our last stay. Not the worst l, but definitely not up to my expectations to continue receiving my patronism.

Great location - close to mall and lots of restaurants. Needs upkeeping and lots of maintenance but it works for a quick family get away.

Excellent

Good! The only critique would be that we didn't have enough linens for the amount of people we booked for our stay. There weren't enough staff on call to bring them, either, so we had to stop by late at night to get necessities (towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets). Otherwise, service was excellent, stay was comfortable for a family of 6, and location was wonderful.

Cant wait to come again

I cant wait to vist schaumburg again and stay at the sonesta. The room was spotless and fresh smelling. I liked the full kitchen with utensils but i did not cook anything, as i was on vacation and did not want too much domestic stuff to do :) breakfast every morning was good, lots to choose from every day and the coffee was delicious! Grubhub was my savior for tasty lunches and all was delivered within minutes. The bed was very comfortable i slept very well. The front desk staff was amazing both in and out. Five stars all around. One thing to please fix, the weather stripping seal around the door could be replaced/repaired, thank you!

Amazing time

As soon as I arrived there, I gave my license which will say that I’m over 21 to anyone who can read the date that says when someone will be over 21 (passed this age a long time ago). I was questioned if I was over 21 and then told that I’d have a lot of trouble getting into clubs in Chicago with my license (never had any trouble anywhere else because they read the date I mentioned previously). I also thought it was weird to assume I’d be going clubbing (I’m not really a party person so I rarely do that, only do that when I am with my family). I went there to go to the zoo, the aquarium, and just relax with my boyfriend. So now I enter the room, which smelled good and I loved that it had a full kitchen with an oven BUT there were holes in the walls, scuff marks, the headboard was deteriorating, the shower wouldn’t fully transfer to the shower head so the pressure was weak and it was tepid, the same for the sink, the door to the room wouldn’t fully close, the tvs were outdated, and the light above the dining table would keep going darker then brighter. I also didn’t like that I had to go to the front desk for the extra blankets and pillows you usually get in the room for a sofa bed. The whole room needs renovation. I will say that the bed was comfortable and I slept good because of it. The breakfast wasn’t good at all, but I’m not a big fan of powdered eggs or oatmeal with water. To each their own with that one. Overall, we will not be coming back.

Overall it was great! The carpet and couch isn’t as important as the bedrooms and kitchen.

I checked in and promptly asked for a refund after opening the door to a nightmare of a hotel room. So many terrible things, it would take too many characters to lay them all out. I asked for a refund and the manager, who left the entire unacceptable situation to the front desk employee, refused to refund me. I booked a room at a hotel closer to the venue we were attending, which made the conditions and service seem even more deplorable when the other establishment ended up being more than what I expect in a room. It was also less expensive than this awful place. My daughter’s allergic reaction also subsided the moment we left the Sonesta property. Will never recommend this and bad publicity is spread amongst frequent travelers. Customer service was lacking but having management expecting a guest to accept less than mediocre accommodations without a refund will never be okay.

Comfortable and convenient

Check in was easy and the employee was kind. The welcome lobby and reception area are nice clean. The room was not so clean. A bug crawled on me in bed and I killed it when pushing it off. Pretty sure it was a bed bu as there was one on the bathroom towel the next morning. The room smelled like weed. Not sure if it was coming from outside or the room beneath ours. The pull out sofa was in bad shape. There were slip covers over the cushions because all the fabric undernearth was falling apart. The sleeper mattress was stained and very uncomfortable due to the springs. The room was not provided with sheets for the sleeper sofa. We had to call down to ask for them and then we had to go back to the front to pick them up. I have stayed in other Sonesta Suites without any problems. I did reach out to the manager to let them know of the problems in the room, but never received a response.

the room was pleasantly nice. it was a little confusing trying to find where the room was but she gave me a map. breakfast was typical but not bad. there was more than enough room and I really loved the appliances and the stove and all the cookware and dishes and utensils but I just didn't stay here long enough to use any of them. one of the lamps burned out while I was gone and another didn't work but I found it was unplugged. the toilet paper roll was coming off of the wall and the soap dispenser was empty. that's okay I usually use shampoo for everything anyways. I also had my own soap. everybody was very friendly. there's lots of wildlife around and just as I noticed their mascot ad campaign had something to do with birds, I was attacked by a bird when I stepped out the door haha. there was a nice basketball court but it was too cold for anybody to use. very nice dining area with very comfortable chairs. I felt like I was in a fancy coffee house. for the money you really can't beat this place especially the location. it's right close to woodfield Mall and some new friends of mine. I think I'll stay here again soon. maybe the whole weekend this time so I can cook and relax away from home. I took a video and I think I can only upload pictures here but I'll try

Perfect for what I needed

It was a great suite! I was there by myself and it was the perfect size for me.

Extremely poor signage to try and find room. Black ice on parking lot. Salt should have been put through parking lot and cleared better. Damaged weather seal on outside door - Let in freezing cold air. You could feel the cold coming in and it wasn’t even windy outside. See all pics. Would not recommend staying here when it is cold or arriving when dark. Not sure how it gets a 9.0 overall rating. When I checked out hotel employee shrugged off my concerns with a smirk when I told her about the freezing cold air coming in to the room. Don’t plan to stay here again. DEFINITELY NOT IN COLD WEATHER OR WHEN ARRIVING AT NIGHT.
