The main reason I booked this hotel was the amenities advertised on Booking.com. Unfortunately, they did not match my actual experience. I was charged $54 for Wi-Fi that was advertised as free. The “heated” pool was cold, the hot tub was not clean, and housekeeping entered my room at 8:24 a.m. without knocking. Overall, the hotel did not deliver what was promised.

One of the better hotels I’ve been at, will be back next show I vend at.

The grounds are very pretty. Will stay here again. Best hotel in the Schaumburg area Thankyou!

The property’s was very spacious and clean. The staff was professional and attentive to my wife and I needs.

Nothing to complain about as far as the personnel, but when you are running the hot water in your bathroom sink if you turn on the cold faucet, even just a tiny bit then all the water runs cold. A friend of mine who was also attending the same event, I was attending was on the fifth floor while I was on the third floor and he experienced the same thing. Beautiful hotel, but cannot get the plumbing right!

The restaurant was amazing. The buffet breakfast had such a variety. The rooms were clean, beds were the typical hotel beds. Pillows were a bit stiff. There was one issue with the shower. It would make very loud , wall vibrating noises when on- other than the noisy shower, our stay was very nice. We wanted to stay another night.

The shower could not be turned all the way up without a wailing whale sound emerge from the pipes near the sink.

Location to medieval times and the malls is excellent. Parking is free and available in two lots and a parking garage. The breakfast was decent and the coffee was not burnt. My key card stopped working multiple times, I had to get new keys twice. And move rooms from the first room I was assigned because the door wouldn't open. Going back and forth was a pain. Then another time when I extended my stay. Mobile key is only for elevators and fitness room but we were on the elevators without using it. The room service we got was not great, no seasoning really on the food.

Beautiful room, great view, I loved seeing the sun come up. Very nice and pretty hotel. The bathroom has a mirror tv and that was pretty dope. They over booked my room so I never stayed there! They sold my room to someone else when I had already paid in full prior to my check in..

Loved our stay, nice room and bathroom. Lobby area was lovely and I left a very expensive watch on a table and when I realized I was already home, hotel found it and send it to me in the mail. Will def stay here every time we are in town

Very beautiful environment, you feel really good and comfortable. Absurdly noisy, I couldn’t sleep. There is no soundproofing. They gave me a room on the third floor, and the noise and mess didn’t stop before 10.

I called the hotel to let them know I would be late checking in. They confirmed this was OK and noted my reservation. When I arrived, they had sold my room. I had to find a different hotel after traveling from a different state.

Breakfast was great, had 3 choices, buffet, sit down, or short order bar. Food was very good, service as well. Offer several Gluten free options for those with celiac or wheat intolerance. Highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel. Rooms were very clean along with bathroom. Cannot think of anything I/we didn't like.

The lady in the front desk went above and beyond for ameneties when requested for my room. She told me they didnt have slippers available, a few moments later she knocks on my door telling me they found a pair for just me! Thank you!!!

A very good hotel overall, and we would return were we to have cause to come back to Schaumburg specifically. The room was a highlight: huge, clean, and modern. The parking was the biggest downer: WAY too far away in a cold, snowy winter. This was a real design flaw, and the front desk knew it: they hear about it all the time, seemingly. Regardless, I'd come back to this hotel, perhaps. It's just a big conference-type behemoth, however: not much character beyond that. Lovely pool and hot-tub spaces also, though.

Rooms were very clean and bed was super comfy. Sweet pool and hot tub area too.

Room was very clean, pool was nice. It's a very nice hotel! The only negative that we experienced is that the parking lot is far from check in/front desk and there was no valet.

The other problem was much more annoying. While the room looked clean, there was an underlying old cigarette smell - one that hit you square in the face when you entered the room (hallway outside the room fresh and clean, but enter the room and…. Nasty). I had reserved a non-smoking room, and clearly this had been smoked in. First time this has ever happened in my many years of travel. Somewhat disappointing.

Room was very nice linens felt more luxurious than other hotels. Nice restaurants there and nearby. Convenient when going to a convention.

Nice enough hotel, clean, friendly. Nothing special for the high price tag. Little bit noisy. Parking lot was far from entrance. In-house restraunts have good-enough food, but quite pricey. Unless going for an event in the hotel, would recommend saving some money and getting a different place just as nice

Our room was on the 4th floor and we were disturbed by the bar noise (karaoke anyone?) echoing from the lobby into the early hours. I know this sounds ridiculous, but the way the hotel is built sound carries through the building.

hotel portion was amazing but the restaurant in the lobby , I believe the public house was the name, had a mouse running around on the floor when we ate there.

Favorite hotel when I’m in town

The hotel was nice. The beds were nice. Hot water could have been warmer. Staff at check in was quiet. Only talked to me minimal. Can I have your ID and credit card and the elevator is behind you, floor 9. That’s all he says to me. Check out was good. We would stay again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I love the salt pool. The restaurant had very limited menu. It would have been nice to order breakfast later, like a brunch. Other than that wonderful. I will stay again. Also, walkable to convention center (attached).

I enjoyed my stay here. I was visiting family and on vacation. It was convenient to the airport and I appreciated that parking was never a problem. The hotel restaurant was great and the exercise facilities and pool were great. it was quiet for the most part. There is some construction going on, looks like indoor parking structure is being built, so it was a little unpleasant to be around that. There is a trolley that goes to Woodfield and connects with public transportation. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent choice as I had to go on business with a twist of fun. The Hotels were booked up due to a popular festival. The pictures don't do this resort justice. It was beautiful, modern and updated. I will book again if need be. Only call out is the lack of curb appeal The front needs more of a landscaping team. The perennial's are giving more of an upkept esthetic which is the only lack for this property.

I paid extra for access to the vip lounge. I was not notified that the vip lounge and restaurants were closed due to an event going on at the hotel. I had paid extra for an ordinary hotel stay. I did complain at the front desk but they stated that they could do nothing since I booked through Expedia. I wish Expedia and the hotel notified us of the convention and the closures to all of the restaurants and the vip lounge. I would have never spent extra for a club level room if I would have known that I would not have access to the extra amenities that I paid extra for and did not receive any refund.

Great location. In house restaurant and coffee shop. Room is well-appointed, some wear on furniture. Excellent housekeeping and front desk. Lobby is loud and sound carries- request an upper floor.

My bed was full of someone elses hair. Management changed our room and downgraded us. Their compensation for the disgusting room and downgrading us when we paid for a more expensive room with a view was breakfast. For over $500 a night stay elsewhere.

Will not be coming back to this hotel. I understand it is also a convention center, but people who are paying for a room should 100% be prioritized over event guests.

A lovely hotel and convention center, with stylish and comfortable accommodations, let down by very noisy plumbing. We measured over 72Db from the pipes in our bathroom wall!

Great place! Took my sons for an overnight. They enjoyed the pool and dinner at the restaurant was fun.

Staff was helpful and room was clean. The restaurant inside of hotel had delicious food, as well. The only critiques are that the bluetooth speaker was impossible to find because there were so many other speakers in other nearby rooms. I also wish the TV had more options for streaming. Other than that, I had a great stay!

I went for the annual ilascd conference (teachers). The carpet, in the room needed some vacuuming. Other than that, it was great.

We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, we enjoyed the many accommodations such as bars, restaurants. And the pool. The room was immaculate and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a beautiful hotel and the rooms are nice. It’s not huge but it is a normal size. The remote for the bathroom mirror feature did not have batteries sadly but it seemed a cool feature. The bathroom is a good size but the doors are actually really odd and they close like French doors so there’s a gap that you can see right in. Also, there was hair in the shower and no shampoo or body soap. Which I didn’t realize until I was already in the shower. It was nice and quiet when we were there and we did order room service breakfast which was under seasoned completely and very oily. The pool is large and the hot tub nice. There’s also a gym but we didn’t use it. I like the location and we were there for a dog show which was fun. Decent stay but not my favorite.

Also, the daily wi-fi was charged to my room in spite of my Bonvoy membership; this was, once I noticed the charges, politely reversed by the front desk clerk. On a positive note, the tub had well-placed grab bars for safety and the room was quite comfortable.

We stayed the night for my daughter’s birthday. Despite a volleyball tournament going on, check in was easy and ordering food was a breeze. My daughter ended up losing a tooth. I went down to the from desk to ask for a piece of paper to write a note for the tooth fairy and Mariah (at the front desk) added a special treat for her as well. Staff was very friendly and vallet parking was reasonable and quick. Definitely will stay here again

I recently attended a wedding where we stayed at this hotel and took pictures. We did not have this issues so idk why all the sudden taking pictures on the stairs was such a big deal. Maurice was telling me I had to pay to take pictures there, maybe he wanted me to offer him cash. I do not know. Both the makeup artist and photographer were confused because they have serviced tons of wedddings here and said this never happened to them. Your wedding day is suppose to be the best day of your life. You do not need unnecessary stress.

Great place to stay, the room was comfortable and clean. Ran out of shower soap while taking the shower. Wasn't sure why it was refilled during normal cleaning.

It was just ok. For the price I paid I was expecting to have a better stay but that was not the case. There really was no ventilation in the room. There are no opening windows and the fan in the bathroom didn’t work. The room smelled stale and just had an odor the whole weekend. We stayed for the weekend after thanksgiving I’m not sure what event was going on but there was an a lot of teenagers on our floor which I’m guessing was a youth group trip. They appeared unsupervised and ran up and down the halls all night and playing on the elevator. It honestly was very disappointing since it was supposed to be a relaxing trip. I was also charged $50 per night for incidentals which we had none so we should have been credited back but a week later we're still waiting for the charges to be reversed. We will not be staying with them again.
