Easy check in bathroom kinda small

A decent hotel with big rooms, a bar, and good breakfast

The sheets were literally flooded with mildew, I lifted my white sheet up towards the light and all I could see were patches and splots of what looked to be mold growing between the layers of the sheet. The sheet was too thin for it to be cushioning. I was pretty disgusted.

All was good, convenient location, great hot breakfasts and the young 16 year old student at the front desk was outstanding and very professional. Everything was great except the area where the toilet and shower were, it was quite a tight fit to get in and out when opening the door to get out.

Traveled with family. The hotel was pretty clean and the staff were nice. During our stay we had a noisy party across the hall which made it hard to sleep at night. Thankfully the people quieted down around 11pm. Breakfast was ok. They had more options than other hotels. The second night of our stay the fire alarm was pulled and we had to stand outside for a while in the middle of the night which was annoying. Other than that we enjoyed it.

It was nice it had free parking. Breakfast was ok. I just wish all hotels would remove the carpet from all rooms as the carpet seems to have all the grunge in hotels.

When we entered our room it was clear that the cleaning staff sprayed men’s cologne on the AC vent. It was so overwhelming. Also the towels smelled liked fried food. Pillows were very uncomfortable.

What stood out the most was the exceptional customer service and attention to detail. The entire experience exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

No microwave in room. Pool was closed but no notice on here. We booked this hotel so the kids can enjoy swimming after a long day but learn that the pool was closed for maintenance and the front desk staff say it has been closed for awhile.

The breakfast was great. I didn't need parking since i took the train.

the room was pretty large with sofa bed. We were only 2, but the sofa bed can easily accomodate 2 more. With the wall separation, it does look like a separate room. Love hyatt

Room was well maintained with clean facilities. For size of hotel and amount of guests it can accommodate, breakfast selection was small and mediocre at best. Also limited hotel small food options as there are no close convenience options near hotel. Pool was also closed for maintenance, didn't know this until arrival.

The website said each bed could accommodate two people, but they were only big enough for one person. We booked a double bed room that also had a sofa bed, and having six people as the website said was a tight fit. The breakfast options were also limited and were not too good.

However, we found a pubic hair on one of the beds. Everything felt really icky after that. There was just a general feeling of everything needing maintenance and a good cleaning. Wall paper was peeling off the walls in the dining area, dirty table cloths, a weird smell in the hallways... Breakfast was tolerable, and parking was fine.

Be very careful when booking this hotel. They do not offer refunds under any circumstances. I accidentally booked this hotel and immediately requested a refund, but they refused. Even Expedia tried to help me get reimbursed and still couldn’t. I ended up booking another hotel on the same day through Expedia. They even asked me to write a review even though I never checked in. It’s surprising to see a hotel in the U.S. with such a strict no‑refund policy. Thanks,

I would say this was the lower end of the Hyatt properties. It didn't help that 80 rooms were taking up by kids hockey teams. The room was clean and the shower was nice and hot. Cleaning staff were very nice. If we ever go back to Schaumburg we would go to the Hyatt Regency.

And all my room was fine. I just kind of wish that we would’ve had a microwave versus being a gift and having to run to the lobby to a warmer food it should be an enjoying experience and a relaxing experience. I don’t think I should have to go to the lobby to warm up a meal that I would like to have in my room and run back upstairs.

During my most recent stay, I initially booked a three-night reservation through Expedia and later arranged, with the front desk, to extend my stay by an additional two nights. My room key was updated accordingly to reflect a five-night stay. I then left the hotel for a planned one-day trip. Unfortunately, my return flight was canceled, and I was delayed by one additional day. Upon my return, I was shocked to discover that all of my personal belongings had been removed from my room. At the same time, the hotel had charged me for an additional night. When I raised this issue with the front desk, I was informed that there was no record of my approved extension. Furthermore, when I asked why my belongings had been removed without any prior notice, I was told that the hotel had no contact information on file to reach me. This situation is both unreasonable and contradictory. It is unacceptable to charge a guest for accommodation while simultaneously clearing the room and removing personal belongings without notice.

Couch, ottoman, and a study desk were plus. I purchased beer, snack, and sweets. Enjoyed the stay. Workers were very helpful and friendly. I would go back again.

Hotel bumped my reservation…reservation was made more than 6 months in advance and my room was change without any notification. I understand that Expedia is a “third party”, but no notification on my room change that was paid for more than a half year in advance is ridiculous.

Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. It was a busy weekend with a dance event (that I was attending) and I could tell there was some youth sports also in the area. They made smaller batches of eggs and sausage which made the food fresher vs dried out from sitting all morning.

Not against the hotel but Expedia misled us. Room was stated to have a separate “guest bedroom” and it did not. It also did not disclose that the pool is not only closed but will be closed for the year. It’s one thing to have it broken time to time but if it’s closed for the year that should be disclosed.

Internet was ok. There was a leak in our room and we didnt notice till we left. Took photos, as it was by the window area in the corner. Also the pull out. It hadnt been cleaned underneath. And the sheet on the bed was shredded. Staff was pretty friendly.

The room was very clean. The arrangement well laid out. The only complaint is where the plugs were. One side of the bed had a power strip the other did not. You usually find others in lamps but this was not the case even at the desk I had to crawl under the desk to plug in my laptop.

The shower liner had mold from where it folded together and hasn't dried out. There's a water spot on the ceiling, which means there's a leak, or an old leak was not repaired properly. There is moisture, possibly mold, growing there. I have not had this experience the previous 2 years I've stayed here for the event I was attending. But my stay this time was not what it should have been for the price that was paid for the room.

Could not control the room temperature. It was set on 69 degrees. The bathroom was so small you had to squeeze between the shower and the stool to close the door. The room was dated.

The breakfast itself was typical hotel fare—fine for something included—but nothing special. The pool was permanently closed, which was also disappointing. Ice and vending areas are only on the 1st and 3rd floors, and only the 3rd-floor machine actually had ice my entire stay. There were no vending machines in the vending area, and no microwaves in the rooms. The biggest issue for me was having to change rooms after fully unpacking because there was no hot water in the sink or shower. In the new room, the heater was so loud I couldn’t sleep with it on (and I can sleep through most anything!) I mentioned it the next morning, but it never improved. While the hotel was clean, I expected much more from the Hyatt brand and will not stay here again.

Could be a bit cleaner in tub,etc and decor updated. No pool. Room, however large. Breakfast offered much choice and was available before the "technical" start time which was much appreciated as we needed to leave early.

I requested a room with a bathtub of the hotel staff had bad attitudes. They told me that they didn’t have any rooms with bathtubs. We had a very big party there with more than 20 rooms reserved and paid for as they gave my room with the bathtub and it away to another guest, which was my sister all around. It wasn’t good to me at all.

I've stayed at this property several times over the past few years and was always happy. I was a bit dissappointed this time. The staff were rarely at the front desk, i had gone down several times to ask for some small necessities but each time no one was there. Even after waiting a few minutes, the staff I did see seemed a bit overwhelmed. I was informed the pool was under construction though when we passed by we saw nothing that would indicate that. We had booked two nights but opted to leave after night one when I woke up with several small clusters of bumps on my body. We DID check the mattress and didnt find any signs, but was too icked out after that point to stay longer.

This trip should have been canceled. No one explained there was not a pool working. Even though directly at check in my kids stating in front of staff, how excited they were to go swimming. Therefore not mentioning it makes no sense. Then the manager Dan, would not help us find another Hyatt place wit a pool. One of the staff members gave me an attitude when I advised we found another room 20 mins away at another hotel. The experience was just horrible all the way around.

I found the bed to be too soft and it was tough to sleep both because of that and because of the heater, which was either too hot or not enough in Chicago winter weather. It's also super loud and blows dry air at the bed. Otherwise I liked the room which was spacious and laid out well. Would be nice if there was any moisturizer and the shower gel was weirdly harsh.

What really concerned me was something I personally overheard while in the breakfast area. Two female staff members (Eastern European, based on language/accent) were speaking negatively about some of the Hispanic employees. The tone was demeaning and disrespectful. As a guest, it was uncomfortable to hear staff talk about their coworkers like that, especially in a way that came across as discriminatory. No one should be spoken about that way at work. It reflects a serious lack of professionalism and respect behind the scenes. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it, because it absolutely affected how I experienced the hotel. I would not stay here again.

Room 403 was spacious and comfortable, but what should have been a nice view was spoilt because the double glazing was blown in both windows and hence they were steamed up inside. Shower strength was so-so but good range of soap/shampoo. We were attending an event at the Renaissance conference centre and it was a nice 30 minute walk to there (or I think there is a free bus around the area too) Overall an ok stay for what we wanted, but could have been better

It was a nice place to stay. The room had some wear and tear on it but it’s not brand new so expected. The one negative was that the thermostat would not let us go lower than 69 degrees so it made for a pretty warm night for sleeping. Breakfast was very good. Better than expected.

I explained our situation to Ela at the front desk and asked about a "mold safe" room. She offered to let me look at rooms before finalizong the booking. The manager showed me a few rooms she thought would be best and let me choose. She even went amd re-scrubbed the bathroom while we checked in! They went above and beyond to make sure I had a safe, healthy night. The room was comfortable, clean, bright, the air smelled clean, and staff was amazing!

The bed was uncomfortable and had to switch rooms due to the smell of chlorine from the pool and was in the 5th floor. Also bathroom was so incredibly small.

As people of color, it was very clear that we were being treated differently than other guests. The tone, the lack of basic courtesy, and the overall attitude from the staff made it obvious. On top of that, the location itself felt uncomfortable and gave us the sense that we didn’t belong there. For the price, the experience was completely unacceptable. No one should have to spend their money to be treated this way.

IT WAS NOISY, WE HEARD THE VEHICLES RACING ON THE INTERSTATE ALL NIGHT, THE AIR IN THE ROOM WAS VERY DRY & THE AIR CONDITIONER NOISY. WE ONLY SAW A WORKER WHEN WE CHECKED IN. WE WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN.

I booked this based off expedia reviews, I was extremely surprised when I got to my room. Not very clean, outdated. Blood stain on the floor next to the bed, earrings on the floor, a used straw in the sink. I’m glad I only stayed one night and it was very late, otherwise I would have left.

Our filter required hotels with a pool and that is what Expedia filtered for us but did NOT delivery for us. This hotel (the only reason we choice it) had a pool per Expedia. You failed us and there was NO pool. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent. The staff was very woefully understaffed, and it took forever for any request. They never wanted to help us and always said, we cannot help you as you booked through a 3rd party. Free breakfast was okay. We wanted a pool and Expedia did not delivery as we requested and filtered for. We will not use Expedia again.

This was likely the most disappointing hotel stay we have had in awhile. This hotel had terribly uncomfortable beds, full size only, the pull out sofa bed was horrific for our adult son to sleep on. The waffle batter dispenser was broken, blueberries unfresh frozen tasteless, just terrible breakfast options truly. Staff did not speak English well enough to understand our questions. Dog poop in the hallway. Truly a disappointing stay.

The room was not clean, sticky soda rings on the table, desk and counter. The mirror for the restroom sink was missing. Guessing it broke and didn't get replaced. The night (9pm) receptionist spends more time on the phone with someone than actually working. You have to walk up to her and get her attention because she is distracted on a video chat.

I booked a king size , got 2 queens. Also they gave me a room with da door in between, but they changed that Tnx god. Out of 2 queen beds one had a super dirty linen. Juan receptionist told me “I am not a housekeeper, I see room marked as ready”… so overall very poor service and I didn’t get what i paid for…

Facility was clean and staff was very friendly.

Asked for high floors and ended up on the 2nd floor right next to the elevator also went to shower and seen ants all over the floor

Booked two rooms through a third party and the staff changed our rooms so they can be next to each other very nice she did her best to make sure we was happy with our stay

This hotel is badly run currently and is the worst of the chain I have stayed in. Rooms not ready at 7:30 PM and not cleaned and "under renovation". You will be unhappy with your stay if you stay here.

The staff and employees were phenomenal. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was so-so. Hard boiled eggs were just sitting on the counter top and not on ice or refrigerated. The water in my shower (room 502) would not get hot. I let it run for quite awhile and it never got hot.

Horrible breakfast, pool closed indefinitely, COLD WATER!!!! The entire hotel has no hot water!!!!

After several stays at this hotel, we finally paid for next to nothing. Breakfast was pathetic, best thing was a banana. Pool is closed indefinitely for maintenance, what does that mean? The worst thing, which I find absolutely disgraceful, none of the staff bothered to inform us at check in, that the hotel had no hot water……..at all!!! Had a been the manager, I would’ve informed people, so that they didn’t get in a freezing cold shower, but, that’s why it was disgraceful!!

The pool was closed due to maintenance and the hot water in the shower would work for a couple of minutes and slowly get colder...

They said the "boiler" went out so therefore there was no hot water in our rooms.Therefore i could not take a shower.I was hung over,sweaty, and sticky from partying the night before and was really needing a shower before making the 7 hour drive back home.The front desk really did nor care but something like this really put a damper on the rest of my trip home.

Like a few others have stated, this place was great. The service was the best part. Great staff. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. However...the shower was one of the worst I've had in a hotel. The water pressure was terrible, and we had enough hot water for one single shower. I didn't think making a decision about a future stay would ever come down to the shower, but I'm afraid that in this case, if I were to come back, I'd pick a different hotel just because of that.

The pool has been down for months and that was not noted on the property listing. The only reason we were staying at a hotel was for the pool. This was a staycation during my kids spring break. Very disappointing!

Nice property, convenient to Woodfield Mall. Booked this hotel so our grandkids could use the indoor swimming pool, only to find out that it was closed for repair. This information should be available online when someone is booking a room.

Restroom in room was dirty. Beds were very uncomfortable. Also there was no hot water in shower. There was no pool available. Will not stay at Hyatt hotels anymore.

Did not have warm or hot water for showers. Was a problem for both nights stay. Air conditioning/heaters were also an issue, it was difficult to maintain a comfortable room temperature. We were there with others, 4 rooms total and each room had these same issues.

Didn't realize pool was getting renovated. Kids had nothing to do when back in the hotel. So that is why the 4 stars was given.

Stay was good, friendly staff

Staff was friendly and tentative, rooms were clean, breakfast was ok. We had no warm water in shower though, which was not good at all for a family of 5, the water was freezing.

We requested hypoallergenic bedding. While they did provide an alternative comforter the pillows were down. It was late and my husband had to go down to get replacement pillows. The beds are full size not Queen which was a little small. The rooms are spacious so I’m not sure why they didn’t put queen beds in the rooms. The property is clean, check in was easy (was reassured the bedding was hypoallergenic and it wasn’t). The breakfast included with the stay was well stocked and offered plenty of options for all dietary restrictions including almond milk.

The water pressure in our room was not good. Took a shower and it took forever to rinse off. Was not happy

Front desk clerk or manager upon checking in was amazing. She was very helpful and we appreciated her very much.
