Location. Fine. All else just horrible. First, the pool. Which was a strong must have traveling with young kids. Closed and looks like its been transformed to a storage unit. Refurbishment is a nice excuse for unadvertised closure. Elevators. Only one worked the entire time-we were there on the 3 and 4 floor. Sharing the hotel with flight crews and other travelers forced us to haul our luggage up the stairs. After waiting 20 minutes. The air conditioning unit in our room was LOUD and didn’t regulate temperature at all. Our door didn’t lock properly…

What made the situation worse was the attitude of the front desk staff. Rather than apologizing or trying to help resolve an issue that was entirely on the hotel’s side, they were defensive and dismissive. We were simply asking for the room we had reserved and been told would be available. Customer service is severely lacking here. The property itself also feels outdated and has a noticeable unpleasant odor throughout. Overall, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I would not recommend staying here. This hotel needs better management and a much stronger focus on customer service.

Horrible. Will never stay at ANY of their properties. Mold in shower, no shower gel/soap, toilet seat looked like it was shot up with a shotgun, tv didn’t work, elevators took forever to go up 5 floors, beds are concrete, pillows might have had 6 feathers in it. They should close this property.

First and foremost, the hotel system was down during my check-in, leading to a lengthy wait. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared to handle the situation, offering little assistance or communication about what was happening. I expected a level of professionalism and support, but that was lacking throughout my visit. Once I finally got to my room, I discovered that the TV didn’t work. I reached out to the front desk for help, but my concerns were met with indifference. It felt like my issues were being brushed aside rather than addressed. Additionally, I faced trouble with my key card, which frequently failed to unlock my room. This added to my frustration, as I had to repeatedly trek back to the front desk for assistance. To make matters worse, the pool wasn’t operational during my stay. I had specifically chosen this hotel for its amenities, so finding the pool closed was a disappointing surprise. Overall, the combination of a non-functional hotel system, unhelpful staff, and broken amenities made for a very poor experience. I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied, and I certainly won’t be returning to [Hotel Name] in the future.

Maintenance staff was helpful in fixing the multiple issues we had in our rooms prior to our check-in. Those issues were already noted by management but we're fixed for our stay. The women at the front desk was not only rude but not knowledgeable on the questions or information we asked pertaining to the hotel.

Place was filthy. There was a blood stain on the pull out couch. Stains everywhere, bathroom didn’t even lock. Place is awful. When asked for compensation for the blood on the bed which is a biohazard I was offered free breakfast. Pathetic.

Breakfast was amazing. Waitress was the best, Very kind. The room itself still had hair in the bathroom. The bed sheet/ comforter smelled like a woman’s perfume so I don’t believe it was washed.

The hotel was good overall. However the bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the AC in my room made an extremely loud noise when it would come on and run for the duration of time ran to keep the room at set temperature. The noise would periodically wake me out of my sleep

The kitchen is closed on weekends but there was no mention of that when I booked. The bed was hard and looked like it has not been rotated as it was sunken in. The fan for the A/C did not work and there was no microwave in the room which I would expect for this area.

This hotel is old and needs serious. Updating only one elevator works, and the call button to go down wouldn’t bring the elevator up. The heater in my room was making noises all night and I asked somebody to look at it and it didn’t get fixed.

What a joke. Checked in and the smoke detector was beeping. Asked front desk to check. Had to ask again 4 hours later. Room was full of cobwebs. Asked the front desk to have the maid focus on removing the cobwebs when they cleaned. Cobwebs were still there when we got back to our room. The second day our room was not cleaned. Had to ask the front desk multiple times for fresh towels.

Everything was great except when I told the hotel agent at checkout that neither the TV or coffee pot worked, she immediately put it back on me and asked if I had called it in. It was around 8:30 pm when we discovered the TV issue and didn’t want anyone coming to our room at that time. We didn’t find out about the coffee machine until the next morning when we went to use it. I was mostly letting her know for future guests but it would have been nice if she’d apologized.

The room was fine, it was clean and looked as advertised. It had a mildew like smell possibly coming from the air unit? The tv got like 5 clear channels and one of them had no sound. The tub had a very slow drain so by the end of my shower I was standing in all the water from my shower, and the towels smelled so gross I opted to let myself air dry.

Disappointed with cleanliness. The bathroom was dirty and didn't have soap. We went down to ask for the bathroom to be cleaned. I had to make several trips to the front desk and they finally came up and cleaned. The pool was closed. The TV had only 5 channels working. When I tried to use the iron I found it sticky and had hair stuck to it. However, the staff were nice and tried to be accommodating.

Toilet wouldn’t stop running, so I had to go in and fix the toilet, to stop from running and repeating all night. The property has bed bugs. The customer service is 0 out of 10 would never recommend. I was itchy as soon as I laid in the bed. My sister has bed bug bites all over her. She has pictures and videos of the bed bugs. The front desk clerk had an attitude with us for no reason. The second clerk couldn’t help us with the bed bug situation. He couldn’t even provide us with trash bags to put our personal items in. We left in the middle of the night because that was very unacceptable and uncomfortable. It’s my son’s birthday my family and I tried to enjoy our weekend and we couldn’t. The pool was also under construction that we didn’t know about until we asked. I want all my money back and I want accommodations for our personal items we have to throw away due to the uncleanliness and bed bug infestation of the facilities. I really found this experience ultimately horrific! I will never be back!

What I liked most about the property was its clean, spacious rooms and the convenient location near shopping and attractions like Woodfield Mall. The free shuttle service and the friendly staff also made my stay more enjoyable. The indoor pool and 24-hour fitness center were great amenities that added to the overall comfort.

My experience at the hotel was terrible. The AC unit had some issues and woke me up at night. We had some issues with the TV and later found out that it didn't have cable. The only good thing was that the maintenance man Manny, who was sent to assist me was great. He wasn't able to resolve the problem but he was professional and did all he could to resolve the issue.

The pool was closed for renovations, had I know we would have booked elsewhere. The smoke alarm battery died @1:50am. The breakfast buffet was “not included in the bill rate” for anyone that I heard ask about it, myself included. There was only one working elevator.

The stay was good and the front desk personnel excellent. The bartender (short muscular gentleman) could have been more cordial to the guests. He used his own fire stick for the basketball NBA game as the power was down for the internet but when the game ended instead of leaving it on for the few guests that were at the bar, he turned it off even when expressed their disapproval as they were still ordering drinks.

For the most part it was fantastic but who on earth thought that a sink with absolutely no “counter” space was a good idea. With the soap tray there was barely any room to put my toothpaste tube down except for maybe the toilet!?!. There was no storage space for anything, not even under the sink. There was space under the sink - the floor and I don’t want to put my makeup bag on the floor. But then again there was the toilet seat…..

Informed front desk on Sunday about wet carpet was told maintenance will look at it and let us know if we needed a new room. Wake up in same room Monday and carpet felt like I was standing in a puddle. Went back to front desk and again was told maintenance will check. Although there was no coffee maker or microwave in the room, we had access to a microwave, and hot water for coffee or tea (or oatmeal we brought) in the lobby. We were provided a big mini fridge in the room with ample freezer space to refreeze our soft side cooler ice pack. This was a more important feature for us We are road tripping across the US on Spring Break, only stayed one night and had packed food for meals on the road. While there is no complimentary breakfast, for $15/person you could purchase a nice hot breakfast if needed. If you are looking for an affordable and nice place to stay, I highly recommend Double Tree Schaumburg. We paid $100 after taxes. A great room at a great price!

My family was originally traveling to Chicago for a day trip, but decided to get a hotel so the kids could go swimming. The website did not say anything about the pool being closed for remodeling. Not only was the staff unapologetic, they did not offer any alternatives. Sometimes, sister hotels will allow swimming at their hotel while another one is getting remodeled. No accommodations were made to us. The clerk also failed to brief us on the internet password, breakfast hours (and fee), or any other amenities. The TV did not work and there was no hair dryer in our room. This was a less than pleasant experience. The kids were bored out of their minds and I couldn't finish getting ready in the morning until they delivered a hair dryer to our room.

The staff were all very kind, courteous and caring. The pool had been closed, the staff opened it for the weekend, which was great, however the aweful smell in the pool room .. well, it was aweful! The water was chilly but clean. The breakfast was very good. There was no lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Arrived at check in. Our reserved double bed room for 5 was not available. Front desk person gave me the option to purchase a second room (at total cost of double the original reserved price). To accomidate my wife and children. NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH MY EXERIENCE.
