Nice room in a beautiful old historic building, the breakfast in the morning was wonderful, and it was in a safe area and walkable.

This was an amazing hotel, and great location. Staying in this old of a building, but having all the amenities of new was great. The wine and cheese happy hour with speakers/music was a bonus. Breakfast was really good. I would stay her again, and will recommend to others.
- 4.5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and inviting. We enjoyed our brief stay and would recommend to anyone who is interested in staying at a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Savannah. I was a little bummed out that we didn't have any paranormal experiences.

The wine, snacks and entertainment provided each evening were very nice!
- 5/5
The full breakfast and afternoon happy hour made our stay here truly wonderful. (Wayne in particular was a stand out during happy hour!) A memorable visit to Savannah and The Marshall House was a big part of the reason why we enjoyed it so much. We had a balcony room and it was a unique experience to climb out and rock on those chairs overlooking Broughton Street. Can’t wait to go back!

Friendly staff, great breakfast and beautiful rooms Honestly the public parking situation and if you choose valet after hours

Loved the attention. The free happy hour every evening at 5:30 with snacks and wine and entertainment was fantastic too!! Larry and Carolyn Gilbert
- 5/5
The afternoon options and super cold rooms!
- 5/5
We stayed for 3 nights and everyone we encountered was more than gracious and helpful. The preservation of the old hotel was much appreciated!

Great location. Charming atmosphere. Breakfast is served in a lovely inner covered courtyard. Generous breakfast. The elevator was very slow. Paid options for parking are either valet or the garage behind the hotel. We chose the garage.
- 5/5
Our stay was exceptional. The location to walk the city was perfect. We enjoyed the included breakfast as well as the evening wine and cheese gathering with entertainment. The staff was extremely accommodating. Only mild negative was the loud AC unit in our room. We would highly recommend to stay here and we will on our next visit.
- 3/5
When I notified staff, they came and cleaned it out. When I’ve been turned back my bed, there was some dried food on the sheets. When I notified staff, they brought me clean sheets to change my own bedding. After that original hiccup, the rest of our visit was good.

My cousin and I checked into this hotel hoping to experience paranormal activity - although we didn't -- the stay was amazing. We stayed in room 414 - the most haunted room. The staff was friendly, professional and the hotel was clean and well kept considering how old it is. 10/10 would recommend!

Fun historic hotel in a great location.

We enjoyed our stay in the Marshall House. The bed was good and the room was nice. We especially liked the evening happy hour and associated activities. Trivia night was a lot of fun. The breakfast was okay, not great.
- 5/5
The Marshall House was absolutely charming and full of history. The location was perfect for walking everywhere in Savannah, and the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and authentic. My room was beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing after long days exploring the city. Martha and Terry were especially wonderful — friendly, helpful, and genuinely made the stay feel personal and memorable. The entire experience felt special from start to finish. Honestly, very little. Being a historic property, you occasionally hear some hallway noise, but that’s part of the charm and character of staying somewhere so iconic.

The staff was remarkable! THE ENTIRE VALET STAFF went above and beyond! The young man at the front desk ( dark hair, glasses, early twenties & usually on duty in the evening ) was very eager to accommodate our strange request for a room change. He alone was EXTREMELY helpful getting us into room 414! Both ladies at the desk in the lobby were authentic and friendly! Fluctuating temperatures
- 5/5
The Marshall House is a wonderful, very old, historic Inn. The location in the middle of old Savannah was perfect. The staff were great.

Great location and staff was excellent ,
- 4.5/5
Loved its history and accompanying decor, but its charm was the location! Walking distance to so many parks/squares, shops and restaurants. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff! Some small adjustments were needed with our drapes, and a small freezer compartment in the mini fridge would’ve been helpful for us.

Bed was a little hard for me.
- 5/5
The central location is great, and the staff is very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Loved the history! The room facing the front with balcony was excellent! High ceilings, plenty of room with access to the shared balcony. Very friendly and informed staff. Great breakfast. Highly recommend fie those who love historic hotels!
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was friendly and helped in getting us to some great places to eat. Will go back to that hotel again
- 5/5
The entire experience at the Marshall House was excellent. The staff is very helpful. They offer great amenities, breakfast, the evening wine and entertainment, all included with your accommodations. We enjoyed it and will definitely recommend .
- 5/5
Could have more shower spray

- 5/5
Great location. Afternoon wine and cheese and entertainment were excellent.
- 5/5
Great historic property. Very clean and rooms were excellently put together for a small space. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was fine , but sort of like a step up from a chain buffet type breakfast. Overall I recommend .
- 5/5
Beautiful stay! Cannot believe I waited this long to stay there. Everything was perfect from beginning till end and will see you all again in June:)
- 5/5
The staff made our stay special, wirh champagne in our room upon arrival. We enjoyed the social hour with 2 different nights of guest entertainment. My only suggestion is to add beer to the wine options Breakfast was decent, service was top notch. It was nice having a elevator as we were on the 4th floor, but the stairs cases are worth taking. Exploring the hotel is encouraged. We did not need parking, but we did see the valet outside and available daily. Superb location, right in the heart of Historic Savannah. 10/10 would absolutely stay again, and highly recommend to others
- 5/5
This is the best place to stay in Savannah! The breakfast that’s included is amazing, valet and front desk staff are the best they will take care of every need. Rooms are very clean, plenty of towels toiletries every evening there is a wine and cheese social with live entertainment. I don’t know why anyone would stay elsewhere.
- 5/5
Lovely historic hotel close to museums, parks, riverfront and dining.
- 5/5
Loved the daily happy hour and friendly knowledgeable staff
- 5/5
The breakfast foods could have been hotter. Location was ideal. Easy walk to attractions.
- 5/5
We had such a great stay here, highly recommend. The staff are all great, very friendly and helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable, very cozy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The social hour and the breakfast were great perks and we appreciated having them during our stay. We would definitely stay here again, we had such a positive experience at the Marshall House.
- 5/5
Enjoyed staying in Historic well maintained hotel.
- 5/5
Jackie & I have been coming to Savannah 1-2x peer year for 15 years. We love the historic charm, the walkability of the town, the friendly people and the amazing restaurants/bars. We always stay at The Marshall House. It is conveniently located on Broughton, right in the heart of the historic district. The staffers are friendly, helpful and experienced. The rooms are nicely appointed. They offer a very nice breakfast to get your day started. We recommend it unequivocally. A glorious inn for a glorious city!
- 5/5
The Marshall house is in the heart of the historic District and and we absolutely loved it! Location, location, location. This property is within walking distance of everything you want to visit in historic Savannah. The historic squares, homes, restaurants, and the riverfront area are all easy walking distance. The walking tours, and tour buses are all within a stones throw of the Marshall house. We spent two days there and never checked our car out of valet parking. Glad we stayed there to enjoy the city. The evening wine and entertainment was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The morning breakfast was excellent with super caring, friendly staff. Excellent way to start the day as well. We will be back!
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Historic building and very helpful and friendly staff
- 5/5
This hotel has old world charm. The staff was great, really enjoyed the wine hour in the afternoon and the morning breakfast. The hotel's location allows you to visit a great deal of Savannah. Plenty of sights, shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
One thing to keep in mind, if you are mobility impaired, our room had one of those antique bathtubs and one may find them difficult to get in or out. So ask for a room more accommodating.
- 5/5
Lost my glasses on the property and they held them until my next trip. What awesome service!!
- 5/5
The people working in this hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but the evening free wine tasting with entertainment was awesome.
- 4/5
The Marshall House has an excellent location for walking the sites of Savannah and offers historic charm. Breakfast combines buffet style and service directly to the table. The coffee was great! My friend’s dust allergy was triggered, especially in the breakfast pavilion. The beds had ample bedding; we wished the mattresses were more comfortable. The lobby staff was helpful.
- 5/5
Thank you for an amazing experience!
- 5/5
The location was perfect! Walkable to all the sites. The room was clean, the breakfast was delicious and the evening entertainment was terrific! A wonderful stay!
- 5/5
We loved everything about our stay!!!
- 4/5
Front office, whole staff were great.
- 3/5
The outside noise was horrendous. You could hear every car and motorcycle drive by. The shower curtain was awful. It clung to you. Very claustrophobic. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quaint. Very centrally located to walk everywhere. The staff was friendly
- 5/5
The hotel was wonderful but our room was horrible. Stay at this hotel if you can afford to book their best room. The average room might surprise you.
- 5/5
Such a great jewel of a historic hotel right in the heart of Savannah. Great breakfast and cocktail hour with live music as an extra bonus. Plus, Shhh! It's haunted!! ;-)
- 3/5
The biggest downfall is the breakfast ,which is hugely disappointing, it is very basic and unless you are early they tend to run out of fresh items. Guests are expected to leave the room on the dot of 10am when the lights are turned off. Having said all this, the cost is very reasonable and you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
Restaurant was fantastic too! Evening social hour free to guests was a plus.
- 5/5
Staff absolutely wonderful.
- 5/5
Our accommodations were nicely kept up. Our bed was harder than we would have liked but we dealt with it. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Lovely old hotel in center of Savannah. Supposedly haunted, though we had no sitings. Staff were great. Nice breakfast in the morning, and happy hour in lobby with music everyday. Comfy bed.
- 5/5
bacon perfectly cooked staff let us come in at 10 am when they were closing but graciously let us stay
- 5/5
Very good breakfast. Enjoyed the entertainment every day. Savannah is beautiful!
- 5/5
We loved the location and the hotel history. Breakfasts were very good- especially the quiche Lorraine . The bar was cozy and the happy hour had a very knowledgeable historian one day and a wonderful harpist another. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our first trip to Savannah.
- 5/5
Breakfast was a highlight, changing the featured dish among three mornings.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great, staff was great, room was clean
- 4/5
The building is like a museum, room interior is antique, was a interesting experience.
- 5/5
Great location and such friendly staff. $40 property fee provided an evening cocktail and entertainment as well as a sit down breakfast in a lovely courtyard. It is an historic building, but we appreciate the vintage bathrooms and uneven floors. It’s that charm that brought us here!
- 5/5
Loved staying here! The history and ghosts made it fun! Nightly wine and cheese was a great bonus! Will definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
It lived up to the stories that this place is haunted! The wine and cheese every evening was a big plus!
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel. Will stay there again.
- 5/5
This was an enchanting place to stay . The staff were fantastic and friendly. The evening entertainment was wonderful and cocktail hour to boot . You won’t be disappointed
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Yes, the bar is not part of the hotel, but it is attached. It’s a bar Restaurant called 45 Bistro. It was well stocked and very convenient and charming.
- 4/5
Didn't notice a bar. Wasn't looking for one.
- 5/5
Great location in the heart of Savannah. Restaurants, shopping, River Street all close by. Valet parking was very convenient but is $43/day and honestly worth it. I loved how they had ice cold waters ready to take to your room or before going out exploring. The wine and cheese hour at night with entertainment was also great! Rooms were clean and comfy. Would definitely recommend and go back again if I’m ever in Savannah!
- 5/5
They have bottled water available at all times They have a coffee tea bar available at all times They have wine and cheese in late afternoon I lovedddd it!❤️❤️❤️
- 5/5
We LOVED this hotel. The rooms are a bit small but the location is superb! It is central to all Savannah has to offer and the Staff at the front desk (Terry & Martha) were wonderful! We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our girls trip stay at The Marshall House. The nightly wine reception was very nice and the entertainment made it even better. The morning breakfast was good also. Staff was exceptional, location exceptional. Our room ac could have worked better at keeping us cool at night but that is our only complaint.
- 5/5
Very clean, beautiful, very friendly staff
- 5/5
Our stay at The Marshall House was perfect, even though it is definitely a haunted hotel! Our first night, we arrived at 1:00 in the morning due to airline delays. At 2:00 we had 3 knocks on our door. No one was there. For the entirety of our stay we experienced the 3 knocks each night/morning. Also, my husband set his cell phone on the nightstand, we went to sleep and the next morning he reached for it to find it had been moved to a different table in our room. Neither of us had been out of bed! That aside, the room was wonderful and the entire place had the historic charm we wanted. The breakfast was delicious and the evening wine and cheese bar was one of our favorite things! All the staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. When we go back to Savannah this will be the place we stay every time!
- 5/5
Of everything in Savannah. Great staff..great amenities.. walking distance to anything you’d want to do!
- 5/5
A wonderfully kept hotel in an old world sort of way. Lovely piblic rooms and a superb breakfast ( and not Continental, by the way). Nightly wine and cheese with sophisticated entertainment.
- 5/5
On the main street in Savannah with a parking garage around the corner.
- 5/5
What a wonderful place to take my mom for her birthday! The staff was knowledgeable and generous. I felt like I was in a historic museum with all the modern convivences. The breakfast service was phenomenal and the location was fantastic. Couldn't rate this place higher if I tried.
- 5/5
Everything was great. It is a nice place with a lot of character. The online pictures do not deceive. We could walk to everything in the historic district. Highly recommend for couples.
- 5/5
Historically reatored hotel with wood floors and period furniture. Full of history. Ghost stories add to the allure. Rooms were clean and staff bery helpful. Great location downtown. Should note self parking is in public garage next door.
- 4/5
Wonderful staff
- 3/5
The hotel is tired - very historic, though hard to find information about the history, and location is great, but rooms are quite small, too much furniture, not well cared for. Staff is friendly
- 5/5
Tha staff at The Marshall House was amazing, the amenities were great and the historical character authentic.
- 5/5
Valet is a nice service, but parking in the garage right behind the building is also an option.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly. Very historic. Beautiful place.
- 4/5
Staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed their evening reception and breakfast. Location was perfect.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing! Terry checked me in and she was very helpful throughout my stay. So was the valet, can't recall his name. The breakfasts were excellent as was the staff. Perrin, the happy hour hostess, was so kind and friendly. She made everyone well so wecome. Love the Marshall house. Will be back.
- 5/5
Now, on to the good stuff, because this hotel is MAGICAL. I already miss it and cannot wait to go back. The room itself was stunning, historic, and incredibly cozy. The location couldn’t be better; it’s truly in the heart of everything. And the breakfast, let’s talk about it. Absolutely delicious. Even better? It’s included with your stay. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s better than many of the local breakfast restaurants. Finally, the service is top-notch. Every single person we encountered was genuinely warm, kind, and attentive. Despite the sleep hiccup, this place completely stole my heart, I can’t wait to return and actually be able to sleep. I can’t wait to return. And do NOT miss the weekend entertainers, such a fantastic surprise and an absolute treat! An intimate, private concert for the hotel guests.
- 5/5
Amazing stay
- 5/5
The hotel is so historic & lovely. Staff & amenities are excellent & so is the location.
- 5/5
Well appointed very old inn. Steps to everything in historic district. Staff very accommodating. Clean, large rooms.
- 5/5
We love this historic hotel in the heart of Savannah. Great location, reasonably priced. Happy hour and entertainment every night at 5:30 and breakfast in the morning. Hotel has a lot of character.
- 5/5
The staff has very friendly and went above and beyond to assist us with a package we needed to send to hotel. Wine event and entertainment was fun. Breakfast yummy. Rooms and bathroom very small which was part of the historic inn.
- 4/5
Friendly front desk staff.
- 4/5
Amenities, staff, and location are outstanding. Hotel is extremely clean but guests rooms and bathrooms could benefit from a refresh.
- 5/5
Southern charm, historic, with great hospitality. Staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. Each floor had it's own history from its founding to the Civil War and beyond. Rooms had some original features along with modern bathrooms and amenities. Full complimentary breakfasts and late afternoon wine and cheese offerings. I highly recommend The Marshall House.
- 5/5
Spotless and charming
- 5/5
The employees are super nice, knowledgeable about area history and attractions. Valets are EXTREMELY helpful. Lovely breakfast. Nice stay
- 5/5
the place was fantastic. staff was superb and made the experience A++++
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel are very nice. The happy hour was pretty packed understandably so as the musician was well worth the free wine and cheese! Location was excellent. Enjoy your stay.
- 5/5
Our stay at the Marshall House was one of the most welcoming experiences we’ve had. Staff is extremely helpful! The Hotel happy hour is a great way to mingle with other guests. We immensely enjoyed it there!
- 5/5
Our second year on a row! Wonderful place to stay
- 5/5

- 5/5
Location was great! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff was very courteous! Had a very generous wine and cheese reception in the evening! Hotel was very charming!
- 5/5
Exceptional service by the entire staff! Amazing experience. Beautiful hotel in the perfect location! We were celebrating my birthday and it turned out AMAZING! Thank you Marshall House!
- 5/5
Beds aren’t great though- too hard for me. Breakfast another nice add on. Love this place!
- 5/5
the staff were wonderful. The room was quaint and the decor was true to the time period.
- 5/5
Very comfortable room and great service.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Charming inn with unbelievable history. The room was comfortable. The floor might be 100 years old and was worn. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast excellent. But the best element was location. Right in the middle of old town Savannah.
- 5/5
Customer service from Staff and ghost was great.
- 5/5
Great stay and wonderful location. The staff was extremely friendly.
- 5/5
Staff was very sweet when we checked in!
- 2/5
Wall had large gouges in it, just overall subpar to what is advertised and the cost. Breakfast was good; the breakfast staff were phenomenal. But don’t pay $270 for a good breakfast.
- 5/5
We were only there for two nights but would absolutely come back next time in Savannah:))
- 5/5
Breakfast was nice and service was great
- 3/5
Just ok. Expensive.
- 5/5
Entire hotel was very charming. The lobby was well-decorated for Christmas. The afternoon reception was a nice amenity and the musician was quite good. Good breakfast.
- 5/5
Check in staff was really friendly and helpful. Check out person was not. Overall, nice hotel but frankly not worth the price.
- 5/5
Staff - especially Justin - were exceptional. The breakfast was delicious, varied and fresh. The rooms are well appointed and you can't beat the location.
- 5/5
A very nice historic hotel with a very nice vibe.
- 5/5
Room was beautiful, night time staff were incredible!
- 2/5

- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful historic hotel, located conveniently (10 minute walk) to everything! The breakfast was amazing, the afternoon wine and cheese social with entertainment was something we looked forward to each evening. Sadly we didn’t get to have dinner in 45 Bistro, but the menu was outstanding. Rounding everything out, was a pleasant and helpful staff, from front desk to housekeeping to valet. The only suggestion I would have is that they need to have better selections of pillows as they were very firm. Will recommend this hotel to all!
- 5/5
Beautiful Inn! Loved the Christmas decorations, wine hour, entertainment and staff!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly , comfortable room
- 5/5
The hotel was great. We even had a spooky experience. However the other guests were……hmmmmmm…… rude. We called and asked if our little could come down and watch the live music during the wine and cheese reception. The hotel was totally fine with it, the other guest made us feel very uncomfortable and we left shortly after the music began. Same feelings during breakfast. Maybe we didn’t have “the look” of others staying at the hotel. (Having loads of tattoos and dressing more alternately) either way we still paid the same amount as everyone else. It’s lame to feel out of place by the uptight other guests.
- 5/5
A wonderful place that enhances the Savanah experiences. Historic hotel that is walkable to many of the the best restaurants, and attractions. Staff is awesome and makes your entire stay a complete pleasure.
- 5/5
Yes the room was very clean. The staff was excellent. Everyone from the front desk, breakfast room, nightly entertainment… was very professional, helpful and courteous. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
The hospitality of the staff at The Marshall House was outstounding. The room was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Just stayed at the Marshall house and thoroughly enjoyed the time there. The room, staff and amenities were outstanding as well as the location in the downtown historic district is within walking distance of many of the local sights
- 5/5
Excellent.. Historical
- 5/5
The Marshall house is beautiful and well kept. The social hour is fun with wine and light snacks. Breakfast has good variety and the staff is well organized. We had the king superior room, and the bed was comfortable and I slept well. To note, this is one of the larger standard rooms and it was on the smaller side, but it was just 2 of us. We would 100% stay again, this was one of our best hotel stays ever.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff ever so helpful, the evening together time was great.
- 5/5
Everything could not have been better. Great staff & breakfast very good,
- 5/5
Awesome stay with incredible history and amazing rooms
- 5/5
Nice wine and cheese in lobby area until 6:30 pm. Staff very nice. Rooms decent
- 5/5
Great, friendly staff. Excellent location in Savannah. Complimentary breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese!
- 5/5
Room was very clean- but old tub was tough to use, no safety rails. All of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Great breakfast and evening wine and cheese with entertainment. Walk to everything....best location. Second time staying here and plan to return. Place is a classic!
- 5/5
Christmas and valet team were wonderful!
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Historic, but modern amenities. Great staff. The breakfast was good and an upscale way to present an all you can eat buffet. We had a great stay.
- 5/5
Everything was beyond my expectation. Our room was was always cleaned and spotless when we returned after our time in the city. Staff was informative and always courteous. The balcony was beautiful and relaxing, it was worth upgrading to have access to it. We would recommend this hotel and would gladly rebook our next stay here.
- 5/5
This place is amazing! From the wonderful staff to the location everything was perfect! The Marshall House is top notch and we will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Room was beautiful and spotless. All the staff so warm, especially Justin who parked our oversized truck. Gave us great information
- 4/5
The hotel offers wine and cheese every night from 5-6:30 and has daily entertainment which was very nice Our room package came daily breakfast which was just okay. Again, the staff was great, the food not the best. Keep in mind this hotel is very old and the decor reflects it in a charming way. Our bathroom had a footed bathtub and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re elderly. It’s very hard to get in and out of and the shower wasn’t the greatest. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful. The evening cheese and wine with guitarists and speakers was great. The history of the hotel is so interesting. And the location to everything was very convenient. We walked everywhere from there.
- 5/5
Everything about The Marshall House was amazing from the wonderful service to the beautiful comfortable rooms. The daily breakfast was above and beyond a great selection and great friendly service. The location is perfect for shopping great restaurants and walking distance to every place. I highly recommend the Marshall House and look forward to returning.
- 5/5
The staff is extremely polite and helpful.
- 5/5
The staff was outstanding in their knowledge and service The building was in remarkably beautiful condition and breakfast was excellent.
- 4/5
Great location. Nice wine and cheese appetizers. Room was located near a huge air/heat unit that was quite noisy, and the bathroom shower was too small.
- 5/5
Loved the wine and cheese get together do’s in the evenings! Trivia and entertainment were fabulous and the staff and restaurant were fantastic!! We would definitely stay there again and refer others!!
- 5/5
Great, very pretty and spacious room. Very helpful and friendly front staff. Beautiful, historic , classy hotel. Served Wine and cheese every afternoon . In a great area.
- 5/5
Beautiful Historic Building. Top notch staff and amenities. Having water, tea and coffee readily available was a plus.
- 5/5
Love staying at The Marshall House. Room is spotless and the staff is wonderful. Love breakfast in the morning and wine, cheese and entertainment at night.
- 5/5
All around perfect!
- 5/5
Everything excellent from start to finesh
- 5/5
Menu was great and the staff was excellent..
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Amazing!!! The whole entire staff was very wonderful. The breakfast was incredible, and the whole experience was absolutely the best vacation ever. Will definitely be going back.
- 5/5
Very clean room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
- 3/5
Staff was amazing, super friendly. The hotel is beautiful! Our room had a slanted floor which caused the beds and tables to be slanted which was uncomfortable to sleep in. The beds were hard and wore out. If they want to keep the originality of the floors, they should level the furniture. It was a rough sleep all three nights.

For being an old building, it was great. Service was excellent. I loved the wine and cheese reception each night! Breakfast was wonderful. Valet brought our bags up and have us a history on the hotel! I didn't sleep at all but I think that's related to the paranormal aspect of this place, which also is awesome! Overall loved
- 5/5
What are great place -- historic building with personality; great location; terrific and friendly staff. Little touches thrown in -- coffee, tea, and bottled water all day; wine and lite hors d'oeuvres in the library at 5; comfortable rooms; terrific location.
- 4/5
Convenient location. Great service. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Enjoyed the evening wine & cheese events. Beautiful lobby reception area and bar. Excellent historical speaker. Enjoyed the Civil War artifact displays throughout the hotel.
- 5/5
The room was great. The floor may have been a little on an angle not their fault it is an old building. Despite it being an old building the beds were so comfortable and the shower was great. I would love to come back here. I didnt see or hear any spooky things but maybe next time.
- 5/5
The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Our room was beautifully decorated plus our beds were so comfortable! The wine and cheese hour was perfect as well as the delicious breakfast! We’ll be back!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time in Savannah and that includes the stately accommodations at the Marshall House. The extras, like the happy hour and the served breakfast, were delightfully executed and added to the panache of southern hospitality we experienced. Everyone was wonderful.
- 5/5
It was a great stay. Loved the facilities and the Halloween decorations. The entertainment from 5-6:30 nightly was great. We got to learn some history of Savannah and of the Marshall House. If we come to Savannah again, we will stay at the Marshall House. Great staff, everyone is friendly and helpful. Thank you.
- 5/5
Breakfast is served fresh and hot with a different menu every day. LOVED the entertainment during wine and cheese hour. The staff were all friendly. We LOVED our stay.
- 5/5
We had a suite and it was absolutely brilliant. This hotel is within short walking distance of the main sights and the better restaurants. Given the quality of the room it surprised us that there were no tea and coffee making facilities nor glass beakers. Had to use the plastic ones provided. Strange! Still a good hotel though. Full of old Southern charm.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful hotel. They had music and history speakers in the parlor every night. Beds were comfy and location is wonderful
- 5/5
Every evening they served wine and cheese from 5:00-6:30 and had entertainment. The first night was a specialist on the paranormal, second night was a guy and his guitar and the third night was a historical talk. Loved the library where we were all entertained, comfortable seating. The staff went above and beyond, the hotel itself has been beautifully restored and is the oldest in Savannah. The breakfast was excellent! Truly the best experience!

Poor breakfast
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay at The Marshall House!
- 5/5
Enjoyed the history talk one day also. Will be back!!
- 5/5
Breakfast, with tableside service, was ample and so different from the usual sad mainstream hotel fare. The only drawback was some of the hot food was room temperature, but it's hard to feed that many people without some fallout. The dining room is a sight to behold, like a big airy courtyard - so special. The coffee was the best, and always available in the lobby. Our room was very spacious, the queen beds firm and comfortable, and the bathroom with step-in shower was awesome with a strong flow of hot water. Luxurious! The whole experience was special because of the history, the decor (including manuscripts, maps, and artwork on the hallway walls), the wine/cheese and lecture events, and the location on Broughton Street. Although we didn't hear or see any ghosts, we thoroughly enjoyed the chills and excitement centering on the Marshall House's history and haunted reputation! I thought the price was also reasonable considering what you get: a one-of-a-kind experience in a very comfortable and beautiful hotel. We highly recommend the Marshall House and undoubtedly will return for a visit!

Evening entertainment with wine and cheese
- 4/5
It would have been nice. I hade to pull a table in myself. It would also be a good idea to have shelves in the shower for shampoo, etc
- 5/5
Super staff great location

- 5/5
Best part of our stay was the staff and location. Great breakfast and nightly entertainment and happy hour was great. Room was historic and created an experience.
- 4/5
The bar was very nice, and our cocktails were superb. There is a nightly wine and cheese reception that looked lovely (we do not drink wine). The complimentary breakfast was very good. We did not try the restaurant for dinner.
- 5/5
Loved the breakfast and the wine event with music. We will stay there again and recommend to all our friends. You have beautiful hotel and we felt at home.
- 5/5
Would stay again.
- 5/5
Our nicely decorated, large room with two queen beds had a lovely updated bathroom. The B&B was clean and offered a delicious homemade breakfast, served at tables. The complimentary wine and cheese hour included entertainment each night and service was amazing. Bottled water, coffee and tea were always available. The location of this beautiful inn was perfect for walking all over the Historic District or accessing the trolleys. Lots of food choices and shops on Broughton St. (And we did not encounter any ghosts!). An overall wonderful stay.
- 4/5
Breakfast and happy hour were nice. The activities at happy hour were a great touch. Location is excellent- central to lots of attractions. No dresser in room and only two hangers along with plastic cups made the room a little less comfortable, but the robes were nice. I do recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent location for walking around historic district. Loved sitting on the 2nd floor porch.
- 5/5
The Marshall House was very nice and we loved our time there.
- 5/5
The breakfast could have been better, choose to eat elsewhere. We stayed on 3rd floor, in the middle of the night there was alot of noise coming from room above several days in a row We were told it was the ghost ?
- 5/5
Great accommodations that are close to tourist sights and the waterfront.
- 5/5
All great

- 4/5
Very good staff Friendly Entertainment water and breakfast a nice touch Though the choice of food a bit boring
- 5/5
Lovely historic hotel! Service was full of southern hospitality. A very charming experience
- 5/5
DEFINITELY WILL STAY AGAIN. If your looking for hospitality this is a place to be. It's like staying staying with family .CON: was the people on the street asking for money.. Approaching us every time we went out . Not that I didn't want to help but I don't carry cash. Heartbreaking to see so many homeless.
- 4/5
Really cool old south vibe. Lobby and reception area especially. Very good staff, breakfast was great. Perfect fir exploring the historic area of Savananh.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed how central this hotel was to everything. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We loved the water bottles that we were provided with daily. I would recommend this property greatly.
- 5/5
It’s the best from the gal Patty as the valet to the front desk to the story teller at a complimentary happy hour to our wonderful superior king room to a wonderful breakfast the following morning in a beautiful atrium to check out and our thank you’s to all. We have been here 3 times and promise to return.
- 5/5
Amazing amenities, breakfast, music, wine and cheese in the afternoon, location, history, etc. Staff were friendly and provided great service at all times.
- 5/5
A very old historic Hotel, it had a very grand old south feel. Great breakfast and evening wine and cheese social. Very good condition staff.
- 5/5
Staff are very nice and helpful. You do need to find parking if you don’t want to use their valet. Breakfast food was good. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. I’d stay here again!
- 5/5
It was my first time in Savannah and the location of The Marshall Hotel was perfect! The hotel was filled with southern charm, exactly what I envisioned. The daily happy hour with live music was something we looked forward to everyday of our stay. Everyone at the daily breakfast was so friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
It’s an historic hotel, so the rooms are small, but the atmosphere is outstanding.
- 5/5
Great location, staff was fantastic, the hotel is decorated like the 1800’s,even the rooms/the tub was a old timey claw foot cast iron/the only thing i didnt like was the really small toliet.
- 5/5
The room was clean. The hotel was beautiful and more than we anticipated. Also, definitely worth noting, the Valet guy, Chris, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Our kids loved him and would wake up and ask to go downstairs just see if he was working. First time staying anywhere where I've ever felt like a staff member went above and beyond what was expected of him.
- 5/5
Ideally located in Savannah’s historic district, this lovely hotel offers a delicious full breakfast and wine & cheese hour. We were treated to a fascinating historical lecture and guitar music during our wine hour. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. Tip - your room’s mini fridge may be hidden in a bedside cabinet.
- 5/5
The service was great!! Love the evening wine time and varied entertainment.
- 4/5
However we prefer this to the modern hotels. We would choose this hotel again. The staff were lovely and couldnt do enough to help.

My husband and I stayed five nights and loved everything about this property, from the staff the breakfast and the entertainment each evening. The wine and cheese was an added bonus! Location was within walking distance to nearly everything we did. We would definitely stay again!

- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful, polite, and friendly. Breakfast and wine/cheese were a nice bonus to our visit. Would recommend staying here
- 3/5
Staff were all very friendly!!
- 5/5
It is also in a perfect location, walkable to River St, and the city market within 10 minutes. The room itself was very quaint, and had history itself, to the large armoire that is at least 75 years old. The bed was comfy, although ours did have a slight droop on the left side, this could have been from the flooring, which was historic itself, or the bedframe/boxspring, either way it’s there. The bathroom was nicely redone and very clean. That staff of the Marshall House were always very welcoming and helpful any time we went or came back. I highly recommend a stay here to everyone!

Safe. Everything near by

--had not visited Savannah since '85, and my impressions are remarkably better, with the Marshall House playing a key role. She has been beautifully restored. Our room 219 a trip back in time with an egress window access to the promenade balcony overlooking the city's historic main street of Broughton, with fine dining a minute's walk away. This room also offered a vintage claw-footed type bathtub which my wife very much enjoyed; king bed provided a comfortable night's sleep. The included breakfast was excellent. The staff gave us a warm welcome with good service throughout our stay (especially Terri at desk), and the neighborhood environs charming and secure. My only complaint was the rate and the calculation of the cost of valet parking (we arrived 9pm on a Friday, left 9am on Sunday, and charged three full days-- but that is the same system used by our doggie daycare, so I guess I'm just grumpy),- and I understand there is a public structure somewhere behind the hotel for those interested in that option. Intend very much to return (gw) to both Savannah and this fine hotel.
- 5/5
Fantastic staff!! Loved Martha and Patti. Had a fire alarm and they were super accommodating to us with water and coffee as we waited to go back in! Great location!
- 5/5
My daughter and I had a great time at Marshall House. The historic nature of the inn is what attracted us and it did not disappoint! The staff were so nice as well and it was great having breakfast options there as well as the happy hours every day.
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Loved our stay and wished we had been in Savannah longer.
- 5/5
The room was excellent and really loved balcony! I have wanted to stay here for a long time and it was all I dreamed of. The mattress isn’t the best with springs but the view and the old fire place and claw foot made up for it. Walked around town did a little shopping and eating. Toured around the hotel and enjoyed all the history of the place! No scares this time but I’ll be back to stay again.
- 5/5
I love the historical significance of the building. It is so beautiful, and restored to look as it did in the 1800's. Great location.
- 5/5
Great staff and very welcoming
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly. The valet was amazing! An overall wonderful experience.
- 5/5
Great place. Staff was great. Location great. Enjoyed our stay, except for the fire alarm at 7:00am. lol (it was a false alarm). I would happily stay there again.

Loved having the bar and restaurant connected to the hotel - especially when the weather is nasty!!!! Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful. Staff are great.
- 5/5
I was greeted with a friendly smile. I had missed the wine and cheese hour but they offered me wine if I wanted. There was cold water and feared to me anytime I left. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. It felt like a small town hotel in a big city. I would come back again. The room was comfortable and clean. I loved the character of the hotel. I felt very welcome.
- 5/5
Breakfast was cozy and delicious. Reception areas welcoming. Free ice cold water in the lobby. Hot coffee in the morning. 5 o’clock wine and cheese hour. ❤️

We arrived in Savannah early and was able to check in to our room with no problems. Valet staff was very friendly and courteous.

Marshall House is perfectly located in historic Savannah. The hotel is located close to just about everything. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Savanna runs on sleepy time, slow down and enjoy yourself.
- 5/5
Wonderful Inn! I loved all the amenities and nightly entertainment. Yhe staff was exceptional! Really a gem of a vacation spot.
- 5/5
The history of this hotel is fascinating, and the age gives you lots of quirks to explore. Staff is wonderful, and the room is beautiful.
- 5/5
The stay at Marshall House was great! I loved learning the history of the place. The many original aspects of the hotel were so charming. The room was comfortable and inviting. I loved the beautiful clawfoot tub. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning and I've recommended to family and friends.
- 5/5
Historical Inn that lived up to the advertisements with memorabilia throughout the hotel. Rooms were updated but kept the charm of the original building. Only drawback was no mini fridge. We only stayed 1 night but it was close to all of the squares, River St., City Market etc. Central location for everything in Savannah.

Air Conditioner didn't work they

Great location in the historic district and a short walk from the riverfront district. Older renovated hotel retains the charm of late 1800’s with modern conveniences. Highly recommend!

This is a must stay for my daughter and I every year we visit Savannah. Hands down the best
- 5/5
Yes...it is haunted
- 5/5
Staff was outstanding! From valet, housekeeping, to front desk representatives, everyone was so polite and attentive to detail. Even the restaurant adjacent to the property was great. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Was wonderful
- 5/5
Staff was great. Every single one. Kristen King was great and Wayne was a great host both nights.
- 5/5
My husband and I stayed there on a short couple getaway. It’s a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Historic Savannah. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They have a great free happy hour with wine and cheese. One night they had trivia and another night they had a great harpist that played everything from Metallica to Moon River. They also had a good hot breakfast that was included. We didn’t eat at the restaurant attached, 45 Bistro, but others said it was very good. If you stay there and have a car, it is a lot cheaper to self-park in the city lot right behind the hotel rather than valet with the hotel.
- 4/5
about the only negative was regarding valet parking was not explained properly
- 5/5
The hotel staff was wonderful, breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect! We will definitely stay there every time we visit Savannah.
- 5/5
It was a historic hotel so it had all the old house quirks
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend staying at The Marshall House to all friends and family.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. The hotel was so charming and beautiful. I loved the wine and cheese hour in the library. The breakfast was amazing. The room was beautiful and clean.
- 1/5
This hotel wouldn't be 2 stars back when it was built 100 years ago. The plus is they haven't changed a thing in 100 years including the sheets, carpeting and amenities. It is said to be haunted but I doubt any spirit would be so disturb to stay there a night let a lone for 100 years!
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing!! At first I was a bit hesitant about staying because for obvious reasons (ghosts) and because it was an old building/city but the hotel was in perfect condition and we loved the atmosphere. The staff were beyond sweet and very attentive, we even got upgraded to a King suite! The location was perfect too since it’s near everything so we will definitely be coming back. They even had a wine and cheese hour, perfecting for winding down and chat with other guests. We will definitely be recommending this place to everyone we know. 10000/10!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Loved the nightly wine and cheese social and entertainment. Room was lovely and comfortable. Experienced no paranormal activity in our 4th floor room over our 5 night stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Savannah needs to clean up its homeless problem
