From the moment we arrived, it was a terrible experience. The first room they gave us was clearly not cleaned — the bed looked like someone had just rolled out of it, and the covers were dragged all across the floor. The second room wasn’t much better. There were roaches, broken dresser drawers that constantly slid open on their own, and raid powder sitting in the corners, which tells me this is an ongoing issue they’re clearly aware of. The shower was also not clean or properly maintained. On top of that, the long-term tenants were outside yelling and partying until around 3 AM, making it impossible to get any rest. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear full conversations from neighboring rooms as if they’re standing right beside you. Overall, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. The lack of cleanliness, noise, poor maintenance, and overall condition of the property were unacceptable. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

Harassed constantly by late night visitors to a neighboring room regardless of who stayed there. Unruly kids with no manners or adult supervision. A security guard who claimed that the hotels policy was violated when no one could corroborate his story.

There was a place and wiring for one but not a single one in the room. The checkout was at 12, they opened my door at 11 am. They gave me one bath towel for 3 night stay. It was 38 degrees outside so I turned the window ac to 70 and the unit was smoking so the fire alarm went off. The blankets are light weight, I had to wear my clothes to stay warm. The window unit couldn’t be fixed till am and there was no other rooms available. The bathroom sink had a crack in it, I took a picture and showed the front desk. He said Im sorry. I said do not take my security deposit. They do not have assigned parking so I had to park 12 spaces from my room. It was one thing after another.

My experience was just OK. I love Savannah, so after staying here a week, I checked into a better hotel, for just a little more money. I was by myself, and I felt very crowded in this small room. The room smelt from previous smokers, in my non-smoking room. I was worried about having made the reservation using expedia's mystery deal. I will never use this mystery deal again. I was not able to read the awful reviews before booking. I never saw any bugs in my room, and I was looking. The room was way too dark for me. The microwave is way too high for a short adult. I never used the laundry, but it was busy. Towels were scratchy, so I used my own travel bath towel. Tiny amount of space in bathroom for your toothpaste, sunscreen, etc...very bad for any female.

Positives: The room was clean, good bed. The kitchenette had minimum but essential dishes and utensils. Wifi was excellent. Staff was very helpful (VERY!) Negatives: The fridge was small, with some parts broken. Furnishings (chairs, walls) were worn and stained. Could do with re-painting. The first night our neighbours had the TV on very loud all night (we finally called the manager at 3am, who helped out). We requested a different room for the rest of our stay, and decided to leave one-day early.

I think I may have hit a new low. I have low requirements when all I want to do is crash before a road race, but this place was totally unappealing. The two table chairs and another chair looked like animals had been relieving themselves on them. I was not sure if the fabric was even dry and would not touch them. Towels seemed a little greasy. Room had a musty, smoky odor. The clerk did call to ask if I was OK and I did not want to get into any discussion as I had to get up at 4:30 for the marathon.

It is not safe. The door had previously been broken into. We put a chair in front of it so that we wouldn't die. The room was a smoking room and stank. We sprayed a can of Lysol, but it didn't make a dent. The room is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Everything is dirty. A guy hung out in front of our door. We left after 30 minutes even though we had to pay for the night. The pillows and blankets we brought into the room still smell. I do want to say that the front desk clerks were nice though and the experience at the front desk was good. But do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Positive things first: It looked nice from the outside and the staff was very pleasant and were kind enough to put me in a non-smoking room even though I accidentally booked a smoking one. They even followed up to check if the room was ok for me and provided me with fresh set of towel when I asked for them. Not so positive things: I walked into the room and the smell was a bit disturbing but hey, its a budget hotel and I don't expect it to be a fancy spot. On a closer look, it was filthy! the surfaces were horrendous and the sheets and towels were dreadful! When I had the follow up call from front desk, I told them the room was filthy and I was told the cleaning staff left and it can only be cleaned the next day, which btw, didn't happen. I cleaned the surfaces and didn't unpack my suitcase as I didn't want my clothes smelling like pee in the dresser. I walked over and asked for fresh set of towel as the ones in my room were visibly dirty! They did accommodate the request. Luckily I had a beach towel and a blanket in my car that I used to lay on the bed and cover myself with. I understand you get what you paid for but this is terrible! I don't expect anything fancy from a budget hotel but cleanliness is a must! This is my very first disappointment in a hotel stay!

I've stayed here twice. Both times there were minor issues with the condition of the room (missing moldings, dented refrigerator, etc.). However, the beds are comfortable, I have no qualms with the amenities offered. I would stay here again. It's a no-frills, serviceable location to stay at for the long-haul. Front desk service people are kind of cranky, though. Maintenance staff is lovely.

However, the beds are comfortable, I have no qualms with the amenities offered. I would stay here again. It's a no-frills, serviceable location to stay at for the long-haul. Front desk service people are kind of cranky, though. Maintenance staff is lovely.

We weren't expecting something great at this price range, but what we experienced was just terrible. The first "non-smoking" room smelled like smoke and dirt, then the next room (we requested to move) smelled like smoke and urine! We immediately cancelled our reservations and left. However, we cancelled in time for a refund, and one week later after speaking with management, we still have no refund.

Travel to Savannah for a friend of family daughter's wedding. Would have preferred something close to inner city and the location of the rest of wedding party however the Extended stay was relatively easy to get back and forth. from. The room was clean and what could be expected. The outside grounds were likewise.

First of all, this motel has a building with what looked like Section 8 guests living there. I got in late close to 10pm and the office door was locked. I communicated with the staff member checking me in through a glass counter. I instantly get the sense that the motel is either not in a safe area or it wasn't a safe place. I had booked online for a non smoking room but instead was given a smoking room with a door that barely locks. The room smelled and there was a roach crawling on the floor. I was too tired to make a fuss but as I got into bed, I thought the sheets looked dirty and saw a small roach crawling on my sheets and that was when I got really upset and complaint to the front desk. He claims all the rooms are cleaned but when I insisted that there were roaches crawling in my room and that was unacceptable, he reluctantly reassigned me to another room which was cleaner, did not smell of smoke and did not appear to have roaches crawling. Nonetheless I will never return to this motel. The building facilities are filthy and the room was mediocre.

This was a just a getaway for the children. The room was okay, but comfortable. It was very clean. The beds are twin beds. So if you decide to bring a family of 4 this wouldn't work. Only 1 person per bed. Overall I would stay here again because it close to restaurants, shopping malls, and other stores.

While I do know I wasn't checking into the Ritz, I did expect the room to be at least clean. The room smelled of foullness as soon as we stepped in. The remote was coated in something sticky, I dare not imagine. The bathroom door litterally had spattered dirt and filth about it. Thankfully I brought a blanket to cover the bed so my daughter didn't have to sleep directly on the sheets. Come on guys take some pride... And buy some bleach!!

Suburban Extended Stay was convenient for my husband and I, with a small kitchenette, including a sink, stove top, small refrigerator and microwave. It was not a five star hotel, but it perfectly fit our needs. It was close to many stores, near a main highway that you could use to quickly get to different destinations in Savannah, and not a lot of frills that you might not want to pay for. There was dish soap and a little scrubby to do your dishes, one frying pan, and place settings for two if you wanted to prepare your own food instead of eating out all the time. The only complaint my husband had were the pillows, which were very thin and needed updating. We will be staying here again over the next few months as we visit our son in school down in Savannah.

The title pretty much sums it up. The room was mildewy smelling (pretty standard for cheap hotels in savannah, I lived there for 4 years) but generally clean. The kitchenette chairs were damp but I think that was from cleaning liquid. Good location if you want somewhere to sleep and will be spending most of the day elsewhere. ~20-25 mins from downtown savannah by car

This one was on a different level of low standards, the smell would make your eyes water, it was a nonsmoking room with cigarette burns all over (including the comforter) and the staff will come in your room....even when you tell them not too....even when your asleep and have to wake up and yell at them to leave.

The room was small to say the least. The site says every room has a hair dryer..they do not. And if you ask the desk, they don't either...so pack that no matter what the site says. The room was ok to say the most. Small, dark and dirty. Right now there is a ton of road construction in front of hotel so getting in and out is very hectic as it is closed down to one lane. As we left, my standard is to check under the bed to make sure we didn't drop anything....really really wish I hadn't of done that..or at leat done it as soon as we walked in. No need for details..just gross.

The First room reeked of Cigarette smoke (Expedia doesn't give you an option.) I informed them I was allergic to cigarette smoke, and they first refused to change my room. Eventually they gave in and gave me a "non-smoking" room that also reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was exceptionally small and very old in it's furnishings. I ended up not staying at all but going down the street and renting a room at Days Inn. The staff's only response was, "You know this is non-refundable right?" I will challenge it with VISA

I stayed at this hotel as a last second decision while I was on vacation. The location is quite out of the ways, but the price was nice. Not soon after I arrive, a cleaning lady tried to just walk in, without knocking. Thankfully I had the security latch on. The room was clean, though smelled a bit. The walls were thin, and you could hear everything going on outside. The bed was awful, though. It was the most uncomfortable bed I've slept on! I woke up and couldn't walk, my back hurt so bad. The front office staff was nice. The type of people who stayed there, however, made me worry about someone trying to get in, or breaking into my car. I got hit on and stared at a few times, and I felt uncomfortable. I'd bypass this hotel, if it isn't your only option.

So bad we left immediately. Non smoking room reeked of smoke and bathroom was not clean. We did not even tell the front desk - we just lost our money here and left. The hotel looked as if there would not be any better than this!!

We stayed one night. There was 4 dark stains on my friends comforter some brown stains on her pillowcase and yhere was a small brown stain on my sheet. Plus the cups were really dirty looking and the fridge didn't really fit in its spot...it had been upgraded...it was stainless steel! Everything else was great!

The wifi signal was not strong enough for me to conduct the necessary business I had to complete. One of the reasons I chose the motel. Sheets on bed has stains and a hole just not good enough. Basically needs a professional clean not just a flick over from a maid. Carpet was not clean.

I only stayed one night in this hotel but it was nice. The room was fairly small but very clean and comfortable, with bathroom and TV. The only drawback is that it's a long way from downtown Savannah, which was a hassle for me as I didn't have a car. However, it's only a few minutes walk from a bus stop so I was able to get around OK. Also there was no breakfast included.

The hotel was located 10 minuetes from river street. There were 10 -15 different places to eat withing 3 to 5 min of the hotel. Two malls within 5 miles. Easy access to the interstate. The room was clean, laundry room clean and teh staff was pleasant and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better location and the price was great.

The TV made a buzzing noise and actually sparked. There is no vanity, just a sink, in the bathroom. There was a small metal shelf over the sink - large enough for toothpaste, toothbrush and a few containers. But I had to keep most of my toiletries, makeup, hair tools, etc. on the floor of the bathroom. There was a permanent ring in the toilet. We had no trouble at all with the environment, but I can see how other reviewers could be bothered by shady looking locals. It appears this is a home for a dozen or so people, including at least one prostitute (probably) and drug dealer (probably). No proof, just suspicious short-term comings and goings. Because it was St Patricks weekend, we paid $109/night. Even at the usual $55/night I don't think I would stay here again. I have about a 2 night limit in my "slumming it" limit. I can't say the service was bad or the room was awful. It was just overall a very low quality experience.

I would not send my worst enemy to this hotel, one word describes it...HORRIBLE! I have stayed at this hotel chain before and had good experiences, but this one does not seem like it belongs to this hotel chain, more like they just kept the name? It is a motel, and seems like the cheapest one at that, not a hotel at all. The tell-tale sign is what activity you see going on outside, it seems some characters have set up home in this place that you would not even want living next to you! It is smelly, dirty, nasty, and I could go on and on, worst one I have ever been too, save your hard earned money and possible a chance on going to hospital afterwards from infection from this dirty place! You would be better off paying more someplace else to feel safer and be able to relax without worry.
