Our stay was perfect! We got to the hotel late and the front desk was very helpful and let us have a late check out. The room was beautiful and clean!
- 5/5
Beey good stay. Pleasant staff and close to everything.
- 5/5
Very cool hotel. Was able to walk everywhere. We only stayed one day..next time would like to spend at least a long weekend.
- 5/5
We had a great time. The hotel and staff were amazing. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Savannah downtown riverfront area.
- 5/5
The two bar/restaurants on premise are very reasonable for the area and have good food and attentive staff. The hotel itself is a masterpiece, and each room is well-appointed and comfortable with great views in many of them. For the price, you will not find a better hotel in Savannah. I stayed 5 nights on leisure and will be back each and every time I return to this incredible American gem of a city.
- 5/5
First I have stayed in luxury hotels before- this is not one. Though it is unique in its on way because of the age of the building. The staff are excellent, professional and courteous. Having 2 restaurants on the lower level was very convenient and th managers welcome daily was nice. I think you are really paying for the view because it is absolutely beautiful!!! Riding on the Georgia Queen boat was really fun as well. Didn't do the dinner ride, but was nice. Everything is walking distance. Very hot(temperature). Had to stay hydrated. Also, went to Tybee Isand which made my trip even more memorable. The rooms are a good size. I had the king bed which was very comfortable. You will hear every sound from the street and the hallway of room. The valet staff were awesome as well. All in all it was very nice. I would recommend.
- 5/5
Really cool property right on the river walk, The hotel decor is picture perfect
- 5/5
Wonderful property! Everyone was very accommodating. Chris in Valet was wonderful. Ashley in management made it feel warm & welcoming.
- 4/5
Our room was quaint and had the Old South feel we were looking for, with beautiful wood floors and furniture. We chose a river view room, which added to the experience. There are a few restaurants in the hotel. We had dinner at Broken Keel, which has both indoor and outdoor seating. I had the crab-stuffed grouper. It was pretty good, but a little overcooked. My husband had the fresh catch of the day, red snapper, and his was better than mine. They were also a little skimpy on the potatoes that came with the meal. We would stay here again because the location is excellent and it’s right in the heart of everything. That said, a few things kept me from giving it five stars. One was the front desk service later in our stay. We went to ask where a local restaurant was, and the hotel clerk seemed more interested in getting her coffee than helping us. We stood there waiting a few minutes before she rather grudgingly acknowledged us. The other issue was parking. There is no designated hotel parking, so we used valet, which is $50 per night. When we were leaving, we texted the number as instructed, but it still took about 20 minutes to get our car. Several other people were

Front desk was excellent! You lady's rock. Very clean, nice staff. Breakfast was good and reasonable price. Bar at bootleg, sometimes good staff! When the lady's were working amazing! Guy' s not so good. Great location! Much appreciate you guys!!!!
- 4/5
Hotel was great my only complaint was it was a pain to fine parking. Valet was booked up already. Hotel was perfectly placed around everything that we wanted to do. I would recommend staying here. Bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Always the best stay! The generous Manager’s reception makes this place stand out!
- 5/5
Will definitely stay here again if we travel to the area again. The hotel was in a perfect location along the riverwalk. They also kept a lot of the original building, which gave it a very cool vibe. Bootleggers was a great bar with fantastic drinks and amazing food.
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay and very convenient to restaurants and fun things to do in Savannah! We will return!
- 5/5
Mgr reception was very nice. River view amazing. Property is central to everything. Cool to stay in this historic building. Discounts for local dining included. Not the least expensive, however it was well worth it!
- 5/5
It was amazing and wonderful in all the ways one would hold to the highest expectations… and will, ABSOLUTELY, be a place well seek out and revisit every visit you Savannah, GA.
- 5/5

Great property for the area. Easily walkable to many areas. Good amenities! The room floors and shower pan could have been cleaner. Staff I encountered were pleasant.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Front staff was great- very friendly and welcoming. Would def recommend.
- 5/5
Fantastic old Hotel. Charming. Great location.
- 5/5
Very nice, very clean. Broken Keel breakfast on the porch was delicious!
- 5/5
Cassandra and Azaria were fantastic at check-in! Loved the location. Champagne at check-in was a nice touch. This is my new stay for business travel to Savannah!
- 4/5
Old school southern hospitality. Have stayed here many times over the last few years on way to and from south Florida. Always fun to be on the river. Valet expensive unfortunately. Will finally learn to park my own car. Otherwise no complaints.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Just a cool plac period!
- 5/5
Very clean property located in a great location. Staff were polite and helpful and rooms with a river view are great for ship watching.
- 3/5
property could use a refresh. i realize this is a historic building, however, the property is in need of a deep cleaning and a paint refresh. I have stayed in much cleaner and nicer historic hotels.
- 5/5
Excellent balcony views of the Savannah River.
- 4/5
Easy to check in and check out.
- 4/5
Great location. A bit confusing finding the entrance as it on the backside, uphill, 4th floor of the building, but we found it. The people at the front counter were very nice but hampered by the rooms not being ready at check in time. Overall a nice old building with a great view over the water. Only 2 things of note. We paid extra for a balcony room overlooking the water, but when we opened the door to step out, we very careful as the wood was very weathered and it worried us that it might not hold us. It was a bit soft, but it did hold us. The second thing was the bathroom had a couple of spots that were dirty and not recent. I am talking needing to be scraped off, not just washed. All the rest was positive. The view was beautiful.
- 5/5
First time in Savannah and really lucked out. Right on the river with a balcony. Made access to local nightlife seamless. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
A beautiful Inn and many amenities. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
What a great location in a beautiful historic inn. The bed was so comfortable and the fan overhead was an added bonus. Definitely in the heart of the river from district. $50 valet parking per night. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The staff were the best and the room was so beautiful. I had a veiw of the canal and watched quite a few barges come through. Seeing the river boat lit up at night was amazing. Everything was within walking distance of the Inn also. There is so much history in Savanah and the River Street Inn was one of the best places I have ever stayed in when I visit Savanah.
- 5/5
Great location to walk to everything you need. The daily happy hour was fantastic as well.
- 5/5
Location great ..
- 5/5
Great location, very nice hotel.
- 5/5
Lovely old hotel right on the river front. Room was big with lots of natural light and a comfortable king bed. Staff was lovely and the whole building is beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay here. The bootlegger speakeasy had delicious cocktails.
- 5/5
Everything was great from front desk, to happy hour and our breakfast too.

- 5/5
Location, river views, great staff and two restaurants onsite. Enjoyed the Manager's Happy Hour with other guests on 2 of our 4 evenings. What a great offering!! Nothing. It was wonderful.
- 3/5
Air conditioner in room stopped working second day and we had to sleep with only fan in the room second day. Was Hot.
- 5/5
Hotel is authentic Savannah and the staff is so helpful and kind. Would definitely come back!
- 4/5
Had a nice bar and was very convenient to everything
- 4/5
Location Price
- 4/5
nice place ,so close to eating and walking place Besides the base property price, there are various additional taxes and fees that are not clearly stated on the website, which is unsatisfactory.
- 4/5
The location was great! Clean and spacious. Friendly staff. The bed was lumpy, bad pillows but comfortable enough for a few nights , for sure.. Easy to find this rental. The bar and restaurants do a good job keeping the area bustling. Love the area and the views.
- 5/5
I loved the location of this hotel. Close to town and lots of great places close by.
- 5/5
This inn is amazing. The staff is extremely helpful and the location is great. It’s very clean and just overall wonderful.
- 5/5
Absolutely LOVE this place from the charm, the staff, the location, I literally can’t say enough good things about it. 10/10 it’s the ONLY place we stay when visiting Savannah!!!

- 5/5
Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived everything was fantastic. The staff was pleasant and very helpful throughout our stay. The charm of the hotel was absolute perfection. You can see the updates but they kept the charm! We will absolutely be returning. Thank you!
- 2/5
Valet parking was terrible (the valets themselves were fantastic and loved them) but 50 dollars a day plus an addition 110 dollar fee for utilizing the premises (which they did not state before hand). So over 900 dollars plus 260 fee for a three night stay for a small moldy room which we needed to clean. We needed to clean because there was plaster crumbling from the ceiling. So all in all, historic building but in major need of repair in the rooms. They keep the main areas well, but wow.....overpriced and run down. I have stayed in nicer Holiday Inn Express'.
- 5/5
Really good environment and very relaxing.

- 5/5
Great atmosphere, attentive and helpful staff, and centrally located in the historic district.
- 4/5
Only one at checkout and it was very busy.
- 5/5
The check-in stuff is friendly, the ballet gentleman was funny, and the rooms were clean. It was a great experience.
- 4/5
Great location. Wonderful staff and service. Outstanding daily managers reception. Only issue was noise—mostly early morning (6 am ish) seemed like sone was coming from outside hotel and other inside from staff activities. Definitely woke us up daily. Other than that, quite pleased with our stay.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here. We would definitely stay here again. The staff were just wonderful.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Excellent Everything
- 5/5
Beautiful property and conveniently located near all areas of the city.
- 5/5
Clean rooms very friendly staff.
- 5/5
You can walk everywhere. This is a great hotel.
- 4/5
We were supposed to get free breakfast vouchers for the restaurant. Nobody told us until we overheard another guest talking about it. That happened on our last day. We had already paid for three breakfasts. Still, the staff were friendly. I would consider staying here again.
- 4/5
Room needed to be cleaned a little better. Hardwood floors were very nice but under the bed and bureau needed a little more attention.
- 5/5
Great amenities and location!
- 4/5
The hotel and rooms are very clean. The staff is helpful and kind. The rooms on the 3rd floor facing the street do not have much of a view so be careful if you book that.
- 5/5
This property was perfect ! Right in the middle of everything, walking distance to the best bars , restaurants, parks and shopping . Rooms very comfy , prompt service, excellent front desk and valet . Riverfront views. Coffee in the morning, candy bar afternoon and happy hour ! Lots of discounts from neighbors. We will definitely be back ! Best stay !

- 5/5
Riverside in beautiful warehouse style . Very clean free happy hour with food every day 4to 5:30 !
- 5/5
Such pretty architecture and the rooms were comfortable with good showers and good lighting. Great location. Easy walking distance of everything downtown Savannah. Friendly staff at the hotel, which is really great as most places in Savannah have very unfriendly wait staff. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Room was clean and bed comfortable. Room overall was good. Shower fistures were in ok shape. Would have been nice if the $34/day resort fee and $50/day parking/valet fees were disclosed more clearly. Staff was ok. They seemed happy to see you come and go. Stuff between, not so happy. Valet was ok-ish. Car often took >20mins to have ready so request it early. Access to river walk good but, the one elevator in the building was slow. Very interesting building with lots of history. Neat spot if you want to experience some history. Overall, would recommend. Just know the extra fees which aren't clearly disclosed.

Super convenient location.

- 5/5
The hotel is in a great area right at the river. lots of shops and restaurants. The town is walkable and had some great restaurants nestled into the community. Love Lulu’s chocolate bar.
- 5/5
Great location. Right on the river and plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Using the valet to retrieve your car can take a while - not sure where the cars are parked but allow at least the 20 minutes that they reccommend.
- 5/5
We were very impressed with the hotel and the location was excellent. We really enjoyed standing on the balcony and watching the river and the boats go by. We were amazed at the selection at happy hour and Bradley the bartender was friendly and very professional. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
There were so many good things about this place. The staff, the location, the food options, the room and the view, and the list goes on. The little extras and the manager’s social hour were all wonderful additions to the stay. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
A few quibbles: There were some small maintenance items that were brought to the attention of staff (USB port not working, batteries in remote, small spot needing touchup on ceiling). Overall I love this place for its character and location. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Great location! We walked everywhere from our hotel, which was important to us. Our room overlooked the water and all sorts of boats and ships passed by. Can’t recommend this place enough!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Mmmhh. No bfast. Ate in restaurant next door. French.
- 2/5
crazy expensive for what you get, the river is no longer a great destination, half the shops were closed
- 5/5
The staff was helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Had popcorn and punch available for guests in the evening. Everyday the hotel offered free drinks and appetizers from 4-5:30. Bradley our bartender was friendly and funny. One of the restaurants in the hotel was Broken Keel. Ernest was our waiter at night. He was awesome! We were disappointed for breakfast 2 mornings. The ran out of biscuits by 9 & 9:30. No biscuits and gravy for us.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Wonderful ambience. Walking distance to many venues.
- 4/5
Staff was awesome! Loved being greeted with champagne and the Managers Receptions was a wonderful perk! The room had a lovely view, however the threshold to the balcony was rotted out and the corners of the room were not vacuumed.
- 5/5
Great location, beautiful decoration, historic architecture with some moderns touches inside.
- 3.5/5
The location Our room was across two doors that were used by the staff. It was so noisy and that part of the hotel looked like it was under construction. Check in wasn’t great. Our room wasn’t ready, although it was after four and the lady wasn’t apologetic at all. Valet parking was a nightmare. When we wanted our car in the morning there was only one girl at the valet. She took a long time to bring our vehicle and a lot of people were waiting for their vehicles. The delay cause us to loose 30 minutes on our journey that day. You can only do valet parking, so their system needs improvement.
- 5/5
Wonderful welcome. Beautiful historic hotel. Loved it!
- 5/5
Nice room, convenient to everything! Beautiful historic building. Good restaurants and bar. Great view of the river. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great location, very well-kept and clean and helpful staff.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable.
- 2/5
The air conditioner is very loud
- 4/5
Excellent location and full of character. Rooms are terrific but walls are thin so noise is a definite factor.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic hotel.
- 5/5
Beautiful location on the river with really comfortable rooms and within walking distance of anything you might need. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the daily happy hour where Brad provided excellent service and we met other folks staying at the inn.
- 3/5
The staff was great building is very nice. But there's a lot of noise at night when you're trying to sleep
- 4/5
Shower could have been a little cleaner otherwise the room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Good restaurants nearby. Helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great view
- 5/5
yes, the food was good,it only had to wait a bit
- 5/5
Well managed property, great location just no parking. Plan on spending up to $50 a day for parking.
- 3/5
We arrived 29min before valet was closed, long drive, and they were nowhere to be found along with front desk telling us to park on the street and get up early to move the truck. Our room was near the laundry room and staff start laundry early with loud machines. You would figure that wouldve been designed to be on a lower floor? I dunno about others, but usually people go on vacation to get away from being forced awake. We asked for our diesel truck to NOT be valet into the garage as it cleared by 1"... they moved it anyways. Also asked the for the shower floor to be cleaned while we were out since there was pink soap scum on it. It never got cleaned. Refunding us $57 off our stay was not worth ever going back. Free cheap candy bar and over crowded Managers reception not great perks.
- 5/5
Well located and friendly!
- 5/5
Easy to get to, unique with a beautiful view of the Savanna River. Bat and restaurant right at site. So nice. Would stay again
- 5/5
Great stay, loved it.
- 3/5
Bed was so uncomfortable! The fitted sheets constantly coming off the bed, the mattress sank into in the middle. View was amazing, staff exceptional, room nice, clean, great location. No free parking so be prepared to valet $50 a day. Hotels.com doesn’t mention that. I would stay again when they get new mattresses and bedding that fits properly.
- 5/5
Clean room, dining options, friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location. Easy to get around. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Charming historical hotel in the very best location. Happy hour every afternoon, very nice staff. Highly recommended
- 5/5
This was my 3rd time staying at Riverside Inn. I love how it’s walking distance to everything. The rooms are confiable with a great view. The in house restaurant was excellent. Front desk staff and valet were very helpful. We took advantage of the happy hour on the porch. It’s the best place to stay in Savannah.
- 2/5
Due to treatment by the staff, I consider this place a dump. Never again
- 5/5
There is not enough room to express how wonderful this inn is. The staff is excellent from my questions prior to arriving - Jennifer is amazing - to check in staff, the valet guys were awesome and so friendly and polite, the happy hour was sumptuous, breakfast - excellent. I truly have nothing bad to say. Our room had a small balcony and we were able to watch the river front activity. So cool. Thank you so much River Street Inn!! Our hearts broke a little when we had to leave.
- 5/5
What a unique stay along the river! We loved this hotel.
- 5/5
I never stayed there before, so i didn't know what to expect but the place was amazing. The people were really helpful and nice the room was well maintained, and the amenities were a surprisingly a bonus to a great experience. I would definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
We had a perfect stay. But, I have to race on how friendly, welcoming and attentive the staff was. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable, nice view of the river, decent food… just needed to clean the bathroom better, floor and trim work dirty
- 5/5
A great spot for visiting Savannah. Nice sized room. Good service. And great location. The only warning is that it is not the quietest location. However, we had no trouble sleeping.
- 5/5
We will be back again and definitely will stay at River Street Inn
- 5/5
River Street Inn exceeded our expectations. Our room was comfortable. The food was great. We really enjoyed the Manager's Reception.
- 5/5
Room was immaculate- check in and out perfect- food at broken keel- top notch as were the servers and bartenders- managers happy hour- unheard of- and perfect. The ice machine outside our room ugh- but it has to be somewhere.will def be back ❤️
- 5/5
Everything was just wonderful
- 5/5
Staff was beyond helpful.
- 4/5
Little snacks in lobby and manager reception in afternoon were fun little touches. Valet parking only but there are may parking garages within 1-2 min walk (likely a bit cheaper). Highly recommend!
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The hotel itself is truly special—a beautifully preserved historic property full of charm and character, while still offering all the modern amenities and comforts you could want. It perfectly blends old-world Savannah elegance with updated convenience. The location could not have been better. Situated right on the river, it was ideal for enjoying the energy of River Street, with shopping, wonderful restaurants, and bars just steps away. It was also an easy and enjoyable walk to Savannah’s historic district, making it the perfect home base for exploring the city. If you’re looking for a hotel with history, character, outstanding service, and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend River Street Inn. We loved every minute of our stay and would absolutely return.
- 5/5
Top notch place to stay….friendly and so attentive. The amenities included wine and cheese from 5-6:30 and Cookies and milk from 8-9:30.
- 3/5
Our 2night stay at The River Street Inn was okay. The Inn is old but clean in the common areas. However our room (306) which required 2 different elevator rides, was small and cramped, had stained carpet near bedside table and molded shower caulk along the shower door. The lighting was poor and the "historic view" included a view of a rock wall below street level and a lane with trash and glass bottles and a view of the underside of a old wooden walkway (I think). We felt we were in a basement! The linens and towels were clean and refreshed daily. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and tasty but took a long time to be served even though we were the first guests of the day. It shouldn't take 1 hour and 15 min to have a simple breakfast. Our server was very pleasant, but seemed to be the only server with tables filling quickly. This Inn is in a great location and valet parking was a plus. We only wish our room had been easier to get to, was a little cleaner and the view was not below street level looking at a wall!
- 5/5
What a fun girls trip! River Street Inn was a perfect location and a great setting for a great weekend! Staff was top notch took care of us and made us feel at home! The Savannah River was full of entertainment. Great time
- 3/5
Bar and waterfront kept us awake until After 1 am
- 5/5
Excellent Staff, very cool and historical building. The bed wasnt the most comfortable, but that can be subjective. The location is perfect to walk the river and enjoy the scenery. We even saw a dolphin in the river, which was really neat and unexpected. Would highly recommend staying here! Try Bootleggers, if you do!!!
- 5/5
The hotel is historic and offers spectacular views of the Savannah River. The lobby and the open flights of stairs down to River Street are memorable. My only criticisms is the failure of the reception staff to inform me of the $32 “destination fee” at check in and the remodeling of the bathroom in our room does not reflect and failed to preserve the original character and features of our room. The floor and walls were covered with composite or wood laminated materials and the cabinet/counter for the sink was a gray colored Formica like material. Despite those criticisms, we would stay at the River Street Inn again.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to many sights. Very cute and comfortable rooms. I would recommend staying at River City Inn.
- 4/5
Really cool building and the room and staff were great.
- 4/5
All good! Great stay!
- 3/5
Food was ehh. Internet didn’t work for television apps. Room was beautiful. Staff was very friendly
- 4/5
All was good but there are no good tv channels. No netflix or other services like that.
- 5/5
Staff was nice. The manager’s reception was a great feature. Check out was early morning and the attendant was not pleasant. When we called for a taxi setup, I think we woke her up. When we left, she didn’t say thank you or bye or anything.
- 5/5
We loved this beautiful historic Inn. We had an amazing view of the river. Our bed was comfortable and beautiful. We were close to the restaurants and boutiques and even the river cruise, it was fun. We will definitely come again.
- 4/5
Hotel overall is good, the decor and style is lovely, location is perfect. Couple of gripes though the first being woken at 6am each morning due to delivery lorries and noise from other rooms. Second the service in the attached restaurant was not great took an hour for our meal to come amd breakfast was not much quicker!
- 5/5
All was great!
- 5/5
Beautiful room. Terrific location. Nice staff
- 5/5
Lots of charm and character! Staff is super friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Second time we've stayed herea d highly recommend.
- 3/5
The bathroom shower was dirty and had black mold
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, everyone greeted us and we really feel welcome.
- 5/5
I do not rate food as it is subjective
- 5/5
Staff was very nice. Beds were very comfortable and the room was good sized. The hotel is very pretty inside. Perfect location on the river with easy walk to the market and attractions.
- 5/5
Room was exactly as pictured on line. Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
The hotel was great… charming, clean, great location and lots of small welcoming touches
- 5/5
Excellent location on the river!
- 5/5
Everything was great. Great location! The only thing is the mattress was too hard for me.
- 5/5
Our stay at River Street Inn was great! The concierge were hospitable and so helpful. We enjoyed being in walking distance to so many things, having drinks at the daily reception, and our balcony view. Thank you for a beautiful few days in Savannah.
- 3/5
Rooms are very loud - hard to get sleep because walls are thin and every sound travels through. Charming, but next trip will stay away from River Street
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
The River Inn is in a great location, wakable to many key sites. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We loved our room- great size and comfortable bed. The amenities and discount at the M Cafe next door were wonderful bonuses. I'd definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Awesome places to stay I will go back again
- 5/5
Every thing from the friendly and informative front staff to the perfect room with a balcony, our stay was 5 star!!
- 5/5
There is a lot of mold creeping up in the bathroom around the shower and such. The bathroom trash bin did not have a new bag (you could see coffee grounds from the bag being emptied but not changed out). Towels had some stains.

- 5/5
We loved the quick access to the river front, it was beyond easy to get to and from the walk way. The inn had historic charm which made for a unique stay.
- 5/5
Cool place. Very nice staff.
- 5/5
Great front desk staff! Super friendly! Love the happy hour snacks, drinks, candy, popcorn and juice of the day that’s out for enjoyment.
- 5/5
It is set in a great part of Savannah, the hotel is impeccable, and the staff is so hospitable.
- 4/5
Great location, wonderful staff. Felt very historical at the hotel
- 5/5
Great location, cozy but comfortable room, helpful staff. Definitely recommend!
- 5/5
upon arrival, the staff was amazing and followed up with complimentary champagne! they offer an incredible happy hour and a half! Full bar plus munchies. Location is unbeatable. the history is kool. very quaint, loved the old floors. much better than a chain !!!! Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Hotel is cute, clean, nice. Worth the price. Good rooms. The star of the hotel is the front desk person Cassandra, she was so warm and welcoming, I can’t thank her enough for being such a great greeter.

Restaurant ran out of certain food and also coke properties which was hard to understand!!
- 5/5
Love this place! Close to everything!
- 4/5
The convenience of having restaurants on site was great!
- 5/5
We liked the location and area a lot.
- 5/5
Excellent downtown location
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful! Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location, amenities and room. Everyone was exceptionally nice. The manager's reception everyday from 4-5:30 was also nice. Would stay there again. Fifth floor rooms with view of the river are great.
- 5/5
Our historic room was large, beautiful, and well cared for by the staff during our 4 day stay. Desk staff were friendly and welcoming. River Street Inn is a great hotel with its many restaurants, speakeasy, shops and river side location. Terrific! Hope to return soon.
- 5/5
Customer service was excellent; the hotel was clean; the river view was perfect; ready access to everything; the room was surprisingly spacious, and I couldn't hear any neighbors. The bed was a little firm, and the balcony door did not have a true blackout capability, but overall I would return.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The staff, the beauty of the hotel, the cleanliness, the reception every evening, and the location on the river.
- 5/5
The building had great character with exposed brick, the location is excellent with a French bakery next door as well as other shops. Plus the staff was nice and it was clean .
- 5/5
Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at!
- 5/5
Great staff, particularly Cassandra
- 5/5
Service was phenomenal! Staff was so friendly! There were so many extras that we weren’t expecting!
- 5/5
Beautiful property, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful. and the historic aspects of the inn were great. We really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere and basically didn't use our rental car during our stay. The manager's reception every afternoon was a delight - Brad was a great bartender and the food was plentiful. We would love to return soon.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful, in a perfect location. Very charming. Cassandra checked us in, and was lovely. She celebrated my engagement and my fiances birthday.
- 5/5
cleaning staff was friendly room clean great location we will be back
- 4/5
Excellent stay, room was great and very well located.
- 4/5
Parking was a little disorganized. The recommended City lot was full and so valet and self parking recommendation not available. We were instructed to find a metered street space.
- 4/5
The hotel is historic and simply unique and beautiful. Although our stay was only one night if we return to Savannah will definitely return!
- 5/5
Great location, amazing staff. Rooms could be a little cleaner but overall for a historic hotel it is 5/5
- 4/5
Staff
- 5/5
Great hospitality. Staff. Cleanliness. Amenities
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great location
- 5/5
The room is clean and has old new works charm. Loved the gas fire lanterns outside. Very cool. The room was clean and modern. If noise bothers you, I recommend that you don’t get a room facing the street. I would assume that the River side is quieter. I absolutely would recommend this place and would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Easy check in and out. Rooms were clean and enjoyed historic feel of the hotel. Great location.
- 5/5
Clean room, amazing location, really a beautiful hotel!
- 5/5
Amazing place and service!
- 4/5
Very cool hotel, not many extras. The location was perfect. The whole place had an overwhelming perfume smell which was not pleasant but other then that it was a good stay
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay wish it was longer. The staff was great very helpful. Love the Inn location was great!
- 5/5
The area was great for walking around. Many places to choose to eat and wander around. There was no free breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room . Friendly and helpful staff with the exception of the valet woman she wasn’t having a great day and she was angry to everyone! Ideal location
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean. Room was spotless. Staff were extremely attentive. Champagne was provided by the staff at check-in. Multiple restaurants were within walking distance. Will definitely come back again.
- 5/5
Room was beautiful. When we arrived, J at the front desk greeted us immediately as was so nice and helpful. Even offered us a glass of champagne! Such a treat! Thank you do much for all the little things everyone did to make our 2 night stay so wonderful!
- 4/5
Great welcome and enjoyed the Manager Reception but the wait staff in morning was very slow to even acknowledge or bring any waters so we didn’t go back the next day.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic! Extremely satisfied. The only criticism is the ceiling fan was a bit dusty and the bedside lamps could use some shades so you aren’t looking directly at the light bulb.
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms, friendly staff!!
- 4/5
The hotel has a great location with so many walkable restaurants and museums. Its very quaint and the staff extremely friendly and approachable. HOWEVER, we had our car valeted and never accessed it again during our stay. Unfortunately, they parked it in the public parking deck where it was sideswiped. The parking staff helped us file a claim...which was subsequently DENIED. I might add, the vehicle is brand new and has only been in our pocession for 60 days. Now its damaged and our financial responsibility to have it repaired. We entrusted our vehicle to the hotel and are extremely disappointed with this outcome. Needless to say, we will not recommend this hotel regardless of our stay experience.
- 5/5
River Street Inn is beautiful and comfortable! The staff were always friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it if you want a centrally located home-base while you’re in Savannah.
- 5/5
We appreciate the Manager's Happy Hour in the afternoons...even though the gatherings were held in the restaurant. Filming of Road House 2 created a bit of confusion. Great corner room overlooking the river!
- 5/5
Extremely helpful and’s friendly staff. Great location. Walking distance to
- 5/5
The location and amenities stood out. Perfect location along the river with lots of food choices nearby. The food credit vouchers, lobby coffee and Manager’s Reception were appreciated. I would recommend staying here!
- 4/5
The breakfast was not free but we were given a $10 coupon however; happy hour was free and it was a great needed experience
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel with the exception of the shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles in the shower which had horrible pumps that ba
- 5/5
Great accommodations with an excellent staff. Location is ideal and morning coffee was the best. Ii highly recommend the inn and will stay again.
- 3/5
The room was in good condition, but disappointed that we did not get a room with King bed as reserved. They explained it was due to overbooking, but not sure how that process works with who gets "downgraded" to a smaller bed.
- 5/5
The open balcony overlooking the river is the best!
- 5/5
Historic but in wonderful condition, and a great location!
- 5/5
Rooms were amazing staff was amazing valet was amazing. Just an amazing stay
- 5/5
Everything spotless. Welcoming staff. Great view of the river
- 5/5
Great location and staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Room was tiny but clean
- 5/5
Everything was awesome
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location. Jon-Micheal and the rest of the staff did an excellent job
- 5/5
Great stay. Friendly staff, easily accessible to everything around!
- 1/5
They switched us to another room without a view!!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
great classic hotel Great location Curtious Staff
- 5/5
Food at Hueys was fair, slow service.
- 5/5
Several breakfast option, everything is in walking distance to burn off what you ate. Total relax and chill get away. The whole staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful inn convenient to lots of Savannah attractions.
- 5/5
REAL NICE
- 5/5
Buddy and jim at the hospitality hour were amazing. The staff as a whole were amazing
- 5/5
What a great place. Lovely friendly staff, one of whom, Jennifer, very kindly lent me her kettle because she knows I like to make my own tea in my room:) Big room, comfy bed, lots of clean towels and all in the heart of a really fabulous city. I loved it.
- 5/5
Great location, nice area close to everything.
- 5/5
Great room. Great location. Great hotel. Everyone so helpful
- 5/5
This hotel was everything! We will definitely book again.
- 5/5
I really had enjoyed myself. The hotel was nice and clean.
- 3/5
The location of this property is amazing- right on the major Bay Street and river street. A number of restaurants and souvenir shops are on the River street. We paid +$500 per night and it was definitely not worth the cost. The hotel is really dated especially the bathroom. It was old and not well maintained. The sink faucet did not fit the sink and it was impossible to use the faucet without splashing water all over the place. The in-room coffee maker was old and not clean, but they offered coffee in the lobby every morning. Overall I’d recommend the hotel for the location but not for the accommodation or amenity especially for that price.
- 5/5
Our stay was absolutely perfect!! Rooms were a great size, everything was so clean, every staff member we came across was so friendly, hotel could not have had a better location. The Broken Keel restaurant was so good. Breakfast was amazing. Loved the managers reception. I was sad to leave. Will definitely stay again if we ever return to Savannah.
- 4/5
Staff were wonderful and amenities were very convenient, with tons of historic charm. Rooms had a lot of character and plenty of comfort, but needed some minor maintenance to make them better (loose towel rack, and mold in the shower, for example).
- 5/5
Great room with a great view! Outstanding staff and the popcorn it the lobby absolutely made my day
- 4/5
Great
- 5/5
Amazing. Beautiful. Staff is excellent
- 5/5
The staff were incredible! Every single person went above and beyond in making our stay a wonderful experience!
- 5/5
Very clean staff was friendly everthing was great 5 stars hands down
- 4/5
Our room overlooked the river. It was well appointed and spacious. The Front Desk and Housekeeping staff were cordial and very helpful. The HVAC was a little quirky with a fan located directly over one side of the bed. The hotel generously offered water, popcorn and a manager’s reception each day. Our only complaint is regarding fees: $30/day resort fees and valet parking was $50/night. We walked to public parking for half the price. Loading and unloading was very congested but the staff seemed eager to help. The hotel offered convenient access to Bay and River Streets. We would definitely stay again, especially since we know the logistics better.
- 5/5
The location was perfect! We could pick up the hop on hop off trolly near the hotel. A convenient way to see Savannah! The afternoon manager's reception was a great way to relax with a snack and cocktail. Lots of great shopping within walking distance. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms clean and quite comfortable. We booked a River view room and enjoyed watching all the activity on the river. Without hesitation, we will book this hotel again!
- 2/5
Terrible room
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was very clean , comfortable bed
- 5/5
It was all good.
- 5/5
Stay was wonderful, had a river view. Front desk offered us champagne upon our arrival along with fresh popcorn and stacks. 10/10 would recommend.
- 5/5
We’ve stayed at River St Inn previously. This time we had a double and the room was a little tight on space. Love the area and the history of the hotel.
- 5/5
Great hotel location, very clean, great staff friendliness and detail, safe and secure access!
- 5/5
Great view of the river. It was awesome waking up with the view of ships crossing the river. Staff were courteous and friendly. On site restaurants and live music nights were great!
- 5/5
Room was spotless, staff excellent, and the amenities the best!
- 3/5
I have been at this hotel previously and I have loved it. The staff is amazing they are all supper friendly, attentive and respectful. The amenities are great however the rooms need a bit more of love from the cleaning team or maybe a deep clean in conjunction with facilities to spruce them up a bit on the details. other than that the hotel is still overall really good
- 3/5
This would have easily been a 5 star rating if it wasn't for two things. The lady that is at the front desk was very rude to my wife. My wife just asked if there was a coffee bar and the lady kept pointing to an empty spot at a table. This went on until my wife asked her where it actually is now in order for her to say "It's only there until 11". You could have said so from the beginning and not been smart about it. Secondly, we shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes to get our car back from the valet. There's just no excuse for that. Otherwise, the building and rooms are clean and it has its own character. We liked that aspect of it.
- 5/5
Perfect hotel
- 5/5
What a beautiful inn, at a beautiful location, with wonderful staff! Please do not stay at those “big hotels”! You really get wonderful, personal service at the River Street Inn that made this trip really special to celebrate the holiday season!
- 5/5
Great stay and location. There are reports of ghosts on the 5th floor.
- 5/5
All great!
- 5/5
Great location and the room was clean.
- 5/5
My sister and I stayed here for a week in the beginning of December. Room 415 is a wonderful corner riverview room. Everybody at the hotel was very welcoming. It is a beautiful historic building. There were beautiful four poster beds and comfortable chairs. I loved looking at the original brick wall in the room and the river from my bed. The bathroom is spacious. It's a great location, walking distance to a lot of historic sites and restaurants. The free popcorn and candy every afternoon and hot cocoa was an added bonus.
- 5/5
This hotel felt very much like a boutique hotel. The staff was very responsive, accommodating and knowlegeable. Valet parking was very convenient and safe. Although our room was street side, it was quiet. The room had some of the best blackout curtains, perfect for sleeping in. I will certainly stay there again.
- 3/5
The bathroom needed attention from the maintenance staff. Overall we had a good stay. Great location. Managers reception is super fun.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, great location. Great river view. Bathroom was great. Bed could have been a little more comfy, but overall, great value.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, very comfortable room. Afternoon reception was a very nice touch. Will definitely stay at this hotel again
- 5/5
The only minor issue was that the ceiling fan had a noticeable buildup of dust on the blades, so we chose not to use it since it was directly over the bed. Aside from that small detail, our stay was wonderful, and we would absolutely consider staying here again for a future visit.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean, spacious room. Great old hotel.
- 5/5
Room was clean staff was friendly would stay again
- 5/5
Horrible coffee !!!
- 5/5
It was a fun girls weekend centrally located and beautiful building
- 5/5
The room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly! Valet is the way to go and so many delicious restaurants just a close walk.
- 5/5
Awesome staff!! Everyone at the front desk was awesome!! Very friendly housekeeping!! Restaurant staff on second floor very good. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was great from the welcoming staff, clean rooms, and great location to fantastic restaurants and fun bars and shops.
- 4/5
The food and service at Broken Keel is below par. The restaurant was not overly crowded. We sat for a while before being waited on, then waited forever for our food which arrived lukewarm as though it had been sitting for a while. Kids ordered chocolate chips on their pancakes, which was an option on the menu. After the waiter delivered plain pancakes, we asked about the chocolate chips, and were told that they were out of them. When we got our bill, there was an additional charge of $2.00 for chocolate chips. Just paid it and left because we had already been there for about an hour. Hotel and Hugo’s come highly recommended…just skip The Broken Keel.
- 5/5
Great location to bars, restaurants and shops along the river!!
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location for visiting historic Savannah and the River Street district. Breakfast was not included but one breakfast option was accessible internally with a discount, and one externally with a discount. It is a beautiful hotel. We had a view of the river that was wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Will definitely stay there again if we go back.
- 5/5
Very classy, old style nice hotel. Most interesting how the different levels lead you to different places, i.e Main entrance 4th flour on a different street, other side leads to a wonderful stroll on River street. Finding the hotel was a challenge and overnight parking was overpriced.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds are so comfortable and the staff makes you feel welcomed and valued as guests. We dealt with Cassandra who reserved the perfect rooms for our family and made us feel at home, Ivy who made our check in easy and smooth and Jessica who checked us out and helped us with our upcoming reservations in December. All 3 of them are a true asset to the hotel and made us feel so special as guests.
- 5/5
Everything was great! The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. I would stay here again. The food was delicious!
- 5/5
Great location, very nice room
- 5/5
Great food nearby, wonderful historical building, Ivy was a great hostess
- 5/5
Clean room, very friendly staff, very helpful. Excellent location. Lots of extras: coffee in the room and in the lobby, welcome glass of champagne, free reception in the afternoon with a popcorn and candy buffet in the lobby. Excellent hotel
- 5/5
Loved everything
- 5/5
Incredible!!
- 5/5
Clean and convenient to shopping and eating.
- 1/5
Only one person at checkin desk. The person spent over 15 minutes booking a tour for two guests, rather than checking me in. Room is loud, poorly finished and dark. Very disatisfied
- 5/5
Wonderful location and very helpful staff. Very centrally located to a lot of options that are walkable
- 5/5
Great ambiance! Accessibility to shopping and dining was a plus.
- 5/5
only coffee offered; no breakfast
- 5/5
Super clean and friendly
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
We loved our balcony, river-facing room. It had a beautiful view and was clean. We'll definitely be back!
- 1/5
Room was dirty we then moved to another room that had cockroaches in the bathroom!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, perfect location, great views, awesome amenities, free open bar from 4PM to 530 PM.
- 5/5
Views of the river and location were excellent.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Dirty hotel
- 5/5
This is a beautifully appointed hotel. There is nothing negative I can say about it! It is charming, perfectly located within walking distance of everything and the staff is extraordinary. The evening manager reception was fantastic. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Staff was welcoming and very friendly! Definitely would come back!
- 1/5
The mid pm lounge was amazing and Baily very helpful and attentive to us, especially as we sat outside.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Beautiful room.
- 5/5
What a lovely stay at the Inn! The staff (especially Cassandra) were lovely, warm and welcoming and the accommodations were clean and well appointed. We could not have asked for a better location.
- 4/5
Everything was great! The room was a little loud and squeaky being located right under the office. Great staff and location.
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
Great location! Exquisite property & friendly staff!
- 5/5
We had a king suite with a balcony over looking the river. View was beautiful. Staff was very polite at the front desk and at the restaurant. Food was delicious 😋
- 5/5
Staff was great and the extra amenities!
- 5/5
I felt welcomed from the time I arrived. My request to arrive earlier than scheduled was greeted with a "yes" following an early morning flight. My request for a room facing the river was honored. I enjoyed the river view immensely. The view also afforded me the ability to watch all the hustle and bustle below. I felt comfortable and at home.
- 4/5
The air conditioning was effective and the breakfast was fresh.
- 4/5
Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly and coffee every morning was good. Valet parking was super easy and great location on the river. Only issue was it was fairly noisy where our room was near the stairway and a door was slamming throughout the night, each night.
- 3/5
Staff was very good. Room was very noisy with lots of street noise. No place to hang hand towels. NO instructions for safe.
- 5/5
The room, the view, the friendly staff, the history of the building and area always make the stay enjoyable.
- 5/5
Perfect location! Fun hotel, overall great destination for a quick trip
- 4/5
Nice location. Can be hard to find by car. Room noise from outside is considerable
- 4/5
Only bad thing is the street noise. They probably can’t help it but morons on crotch rockets raced the main drag all night for 3 nights. We didn’t sleep much.
- 5/5
The staff was so very friendly and helpful! The view of the river amazing! The coffee in the lobby each morning was a treat!
- 5/5
Stayed for our wedding anniversary. They gave us a bottle of wine and a free meal in one of the restaurants on the property. All the staff were super friendly and helpful if asked anything. Rooms are clean, but needs some cards for guests to identify minor maitaince needs. Overall great, attended the manger's reception, open bar and hor dourves. Only thing, they charge a 'resort fee' on top of the room cost of $35 a day, so it isn't really free.
- 5/5
The hotel and staff were all super great, place was always clean, the room itself was great, however the mattress was too soft.
- 5/5
Excellent. No other word for it
- 5/5
Excellent location, friendly staff and hotel full of character. Go and see Brad at the manager's reception at the end of your day. He was great!
- 4/5
Noise through walls
- 4/5
What the hell happened to the free breakfast with the room???
- 5/5
Very nice room with lots of room
- 5/5
The Reclaimed Cotton Exchange is beautiful, the Staff is friendly and attentive. Its centrally located to everything Savannah.
- 5/5
I would definitley come back again! Everything was so unique in this place and the size of my room was much bigger than anticipated. The staff was super friendly and the room was fairly clean; the rug under the bed could have used a vacuum, but that was minor compared to everything else. Wonderful experience all 'round!
- 5/5
Room was wonderful, location was outstanding and the people were terrific!
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful place with entrances on two streets for shopping and dining (because it’s built on a bluff). Get the river view. The sight of enormous cargo ships and steamboats is mesmerizing. And the bed was comfy! I must say the house staff were just the best I’ve ever experienced. They answered our confused questions with grace and humor and made us feel special. Requests were immediately tended to — our TV went on the blink and they swapped it out at once with a new one from the penthouse! It’s a special place — quite pricey but worth it.
- 5/5
This was a very unique Inn with lots of history along with modern touches. The river view rooms were amazing. There is a lot of action on River Street but as long as you’re not expecting complete silence, it’s all part of the charm of the old town.
- 5/5
Loved the location of the hotel as well as the atmosphere. The staff was amazing and so helpful! Perfect location to access a bunch of shops, restaurants and bars
- 5/5
Did not eat breakfast at hotel but the hotel was beautiful , not you’re typical cookie cutter hotel, great location, great views, great staff, great bars/restaurants for lunch and dinner
- 5/5
All the extras were above and beyond! Incredible view of river and beautiful room. Great food options near hotel. Love love loved it!!
- 5/5
Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Wonderful location. Clean. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Prime location! Walking distance to most tourist spots.
- 5/5

- 5/5
The staff were excellent, really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is really nice, brilliant location and the rooms are great. Only thing I would say is maintenance need to fix a few small details like the blind which wouldn't open easily a
- 5/5
Greeted with a glass of champagne by Zac. He is very friendly and attentive. Reached out to me numerous times to mske sure thst we had everything we needed. Such a beautiful property.
- 5/5
The breakfast was very nice, and the hotel offers cupons to discount meals at their restaraunt/ speakeasy. The rooms were very clean, and had plenty of space. The balcony was small, but you could sit in front of the open door facing river street.
- 4/5
The property was in an amazing location and they had some nice perks, including a nightly cocktail hour. The only complaint I would have is our room had a really musty smell and housekeeping didn’t do an amazing job of daily cleaning. They never vacuumed our room the entire week we stayed.
- 1/5
Cleanliness was not there at all room had water stains in ceiling. Had mold all over the shower and the wall above
- 5/5
We had an issue with the temperature in our room upon arrival. Maintenance could not resolve the problem until the next day and there were no rooms available to move. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating and also compensated us in multiple ways throughout our stay. Very pleased!
- 5/5
This is a grand historic hotel that oozes Old South. Nestled in the heart of Savannah’s River District, it’s a quick walk to shops and outstanding restaurants as well as the Trolly Tour and Riverboat tours. Nothing could be more perfect.
- 5/5
I really loved this property! I can’t say enough about the great staff! The hotel is Historic and beautiful. It’s walking distance to most things.
- 5/5
arrive around 230, was able to check in. valet parking was a bit much but we didnt have to drive around looking for a park. all in all we had a very nice stay and would probaly return to stay again.
- 5/5
Attendants great
- 5/5
I am so glad I was able to experience this property. Initially, my fiancé and I had selected the Marriott right up the street but I took another look at River Street Inn reviews and decided to go there instead. Thank goodness there was a room available for us with no rebooking. We enjoyed the staff, room and premises to much that we extended our stay by one night. Cassandra is a gem and absolutely Amazing! They even allowed me to use the conference room downstairs for an interview since our room wasn’t available. Extremely considerate!
- 5/5
The River Street Inn was an excellent stay for a girls getaway. It was beautiful The staff was friendly and courteous in every wayThey gave us all the towels we wanted and accommodated us with an extra bed. It was near everything and they gave us discounts to restaurants & the trolly .The view was beautiful. Highly recommend .
- 5/5
Loved the River Street Inn!
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and the location was great.
- 4/5
Valet service was great! I forgot my phone in the car and our valet (Tanika?) went back to get it for me. The staff is always helpful.
- 4/5
It is a historic building so it has its quirks which I personally, like. The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. It was nice to be right on the river and very walkable to the historic district and riverfront area. The room needed a deep clean including mildew behind the caulking in the shower which may come with the wet environment of Savannah. It needs to be treated and replaced. Dusty baseboards and corners. Nothing major.
- 3/5
The River Street Inn is an interesting old building, with original flooring/staircases and antique charm. We had two rooms on the 3rd floor, and it seemed as though there had been some historical water damage. Both of our rooms had a pervading ‘musty’ smell, and inability to open window or run a fan. The hotel asked about our stay via text, and when told about the unpleasant odor, they didn’t offer any sort of remedy. Great views of the river, and close to a lot of the town’s best features. We loved the Cotton Exchange bar/restaurant next door, best meal of this leg of our trip. We were also thrilled by the happy hour, run by the fantastic and pleasant Brad: great spread of cheeses/crackers, fruit, delicious local beers, wine, cocktails. Brad’s happy hour was the high point of our stay here. Would stay again if rooms higher up in the building were less musty.
- 5/5
Perfect location-walkable to everything you’d want to see.
- 3/5
Over all this hotel was comfortable. The service was great. There was a slight mildew smell in the halls and my room which made me suspect that the hotel had suffered water damage in the past. Carpets in the halls and stairs need a good deep clean or replacement. Room carpet was clean. Overall: A bit worn, needs some TLC but excellent location, comfortable bed and friendly efficient staff. Valet parking team was excellent.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our view overlooking the river was a pleasant surprise.
- 4/5
Everything was wonderful except we stayed on the 3rd floor and our hallway and our room smelled like mildew/mold really bad. Other than that the staff was amazing, food was delicious, hotel is absolutely gorgeous and it was in the most possible convenient location to shops, restaurants and touring the whole city.
- 5/5
it was so cute
- 5/5
Great location Free parking at the hotel
- 5/5
It was right in the heart of Savannah We walked to everything The staff was amazing!!
- 5/5
We loved our stay for 3 nights. Everything we needed was in our hotel or nearby. We had the King Suite with balcony on the river side. Everything was amazing!!
- 3/5
The hotel was nice, we got woken up one morning by someone pulling the fire alarm, that was annoying. One day we requested to purchase the trolley and because it was so late in the day, the woman at the front desk told us no, then I explained about my knee issue and she said okay, but the fact that she instantly told us no without knowing why we were going to purchase the ticket, was unacceptable. The trolley ran until 5pm, so it shouldn’t have mattered what time we were renting it and for what reason.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at River Street Inn! The room was beautiful, and even the hallways had so much charm. We had a riverfront room and really enjoyed watching the boats go by and seeing all the activity on the street. The room was spotless, the staff was very friendly, and we can’t wait to come back. Absolutely loved it!
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful. The property was neat, clean and well maintained. The manager’s reception was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

The room was absolutely beautiful. We loved it. The staff were very nice. The problem was the banging on the walls. I don’t know if they were renovating or what, but there was a lot of banging throughout the day. I don’t know about housekeeping. We had to request it. Getting ice was a little ridiculous. Our room was on the 2nd floor, but we had to go to the 4th floor to try to find the ice machine.
- 5/5
It was very nice
- 4/5
The only negative for the lovely inn was the street traffic noise. Starting early 3am the noise prevented quality rest
- 5/5
Comfortable room and bed, staff were nice but not very accommodating. Being on the river was beautiful, but noisy in the morning and evening.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Awesome location, large spacious rooms. Historic. Will stay again
- 5/5
Everyone was so friendly and the hotel is in a great location!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel in a beautiful area with everything you need in proximity.
- 5/5
We stay here a lot. Such a beautiful historic hotel in a great area. Easy parking and walkable. Staff is always polite, helpful and professional. Would highly recommend.
- 3/5
The only issue was a shortage in staff at check in process took over a 30 minute wait. Checkout went smooth but valet parking took another 30 minute wait after they sent a text saying that we had 5 minutes.
- 3/5
The shower was awful in our room. Mold all around the floor. It needed Clorox and a scouring big time. The pan needed replacing. I told the cleaning supervisor but nothing was accomplished. The staff would knock on the door to clean and we asked them to give us 15 minutes and they never come back.
- 5/5
The hotel is very unique and fitting with historic district. Close to amazing dining and activities
- 3/5
No laundry service shower was small I think it was under sized
- 5/5
Great place to stay easy access to river street
- 4/5
This property was amazing. Everything was within walking distance. Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean. Only reason I'm not rating it excellent is because of the noise. My wife and i were woke up every morning to doors being shut and people coming in and out of the lobby. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Great location for restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
The staff bentover backwards for us and we watched them do the same for another couple.the room decor was era appropriate for the location and the historical building. Will definitely rebook!
- 5/5
Nice rooms walking distance to river front
- 5/5
Charming place!
- 5/5
We have the location in proximity to the river and all the nightlife and restaurants.
- 4/5
Rooms were on the small side. All else was quite acceptable.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely Savannah Bee toiletries. Can walk to any park, restaurant or shopping you want. Loved this hotel. I had a balcony room but you can’t sit out on the balcony but it was still nice to have it.
- 5/5
Location is perfect. Nice authentic touches throughout the hotel including in each room. Will be back for sure next time in Savannah.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, clean rooms, and central to everything we wanted to do
- 5/5
This place was amazing. The artistry and history it displayed was nothing short of amazing. We both really adored the bed frame.
- 5/5
We loved the hotel. The history it displayed and the beauty was amazing.
- 5/5
Such a gorgeous stay in historic Savannah!! Highly recommend!!
- 5/5
Beautiful historic property. Excellent location and staff were great! Several little perks for guests. Will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. It was our anniversary trip and we received a bottle of champagne and free breakfast with a lovely hand written card. It was also very nice that the hotel had a free happy hour with hor derves.
- 5/5
Love the vibe of this hotel. It’s right on the river and in an old historic building with original wood floors - it’s beautiful! Free happy hour every day from 4:00-5:30 with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Walking distance to pretty much anywhere you want to go.
- 3/5
Parking is very inconvenient plus the elevator in the public parking garage across the street not working.
- 2/5
Ants in the room. Staff was nice
- 3/5
This hotel is in a good location. There is a complimentary afternoon open bar with hors d’oeuvres and popcorn, coffee in the morning. However, the first “historic” room we were offered had a view of a brick wall so make sure you know exactly what view you are getting. No free breakfast but $10.00 dollars off for 2 people in their restaurant. Hotel is extremely clean and right off the river and adequate health club. Staff rigid about no upgrade and no late departure of one hour.
- 5/5
This place was absolutely beautiful, the staff was so kind and on top of everything!
- 5/5
Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Easy Walking to multiple eating and shopping areas. Staff was always friendly, helpful, and amazing in every way. Love everything about this place. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
This is hands down, my new favorite place to stay in Savannah!
- 5/5
Beautiful historic property on the river. Very nice amenities and impeccable service.
- 5/5
Only other gripe would be the Valet manager seems to have an attitude and played games with returning my car keys for a tip. I normally tip after the service is complete n order to reflect the service received.Call me crazy. Overall a great hotel in the center of the action. Highly recommend!!!
- 5/5
Location was key was walkable to parks restaurants boats ect!
- 5/5
Great historic building, well maintained. Many dining and entertainment options nearby. Hotel staff was excellent.
- 4/5
Staff was super nice and helpful. The property was beautiful and captured its historic charm perfectly. The bed was very comfortable. The shower could have used some special attention around the base. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
- 5/5
Ivy was very pleasant and helpful through the trip. She checked in often to see how we were doing and to let her know if we needed any assistance. When we did I fact need assistance she was able to provide prompt support.
- 5/5
Great location and property
- 5/5
Excellent stay. The staff was great.
- 5/5
We love the River Street Inn. It was amazing. We always have a great time and the staff was amazing also!!
- 2/5
We were offered a room with a brick wall. It was authentic and brings a character, but it was dusty and had some stains. For extra $40 for a River view we were put in a different room right above a bar and it was pretty noisy until 11pm. One of us woke up with multiple hives from insect bites and possibly bed bugs.
- 5/5
Lovely place to stay, great location, friendly staff. This place was a 10/10
- 5/5
We loved the uniqueness of this property. The brick walls, the iron works, the brick street. It was all an exceptional experience. Staff was very helpful and met every need!
- 5/5
The staff here are amazing!!! The amenities and extras are excellent. The location is walkable to everything you may want to do. We will definitely be back, loved it all!!
- 5/5
Large comfortable room with river view.
- 4/5
First room was not in good shape. Upgraded to a very nice room. Although the rain had brought in ants. They addressed the issue immediately.
- 5/5
Historic Hotel with so much personality!
- 5/5
Historic.
- 5/5
The River Street Inn is a gorgeous old building with many amenities unique features and beautiful views, street snd river. A wonderful place to hang your hat for overnight or longer term stays.
- 4/5
Cute historic boutique hotel on the river. In a walkable area. Staff is friendly and room met our needs.
- 5/5
Very comfortable, love the historical charm, love the location!
- 5/5
Loved theis- we are getting
- 3/5
We had a river view room and first night was good which was a Thursday. Second and third nights we didn’t get much sleep at all - very loud with music, yelling and cars reving their engines until all hours of the night! The morning we left there was a bunch of tiny ants in our bathroom. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this hotel.
- 5/5
The property is beautiful! Well kept, clean, and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great place to stay right on the river.
- 5/5
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, location is amazing. Rooms was a bit small for 4 people and somewhat noisy at night. I still loved our stay and would return
- 5/5
Perfect location on the river. Parking in garage across the street was a breeze. Beautiful room and view. So much to do in walking distance. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
All around, great hospitality and service. We loved the property!
- 5/5
Cassandra was exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we felt the hospitality and warmth. Everyone we encountered was the same.
- 5/5
Everything has been excellent, from the minute we pulled in, to the time to checkout. The building and amenities are absolutely outstanding. The staff is even better. Staying here made our 25th wedding anniversary even more memorable.
- 4/5
Excellent property with all the amenities and more! Great location and helpful and friendly staff! Beautifully accented room and common areas! Just a great experience all around!!
- 5/5
I loved my stay. The inn is beautiful, my room was lovely and all the attention to detail. I know where I am staying next time I return to Savannah!
- 5/5
Very quaint while still stylish. Close and walkable
- 3/5
Location strongest point.
- 2/5
Bathroom has mold in the shower no hot water no water pressure, leaks everywhere in hotel due to heavy rains floors very slippery the bed was ok air didn't seem to be the temp you set it on. The blinds where broken and the sink in bathroom didn't drain. The room was pretty to look at both nothing functioned properly
- 5/5
We had a great experience at River Street Inn. We loved the location and points of interest were easily walkable. Also lots of dining and shopping options along River Street. Hotel and room were very clean. It is a historic building and they have kept it up very well. The daily manager's reception was an added plus - complimentary drinks and appetizers! Coffee, popcorn and candy also available in the lobby for guests. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Great stay.
- 5/5
Our room was beautiful with a great view of the river. The location is great and there are tons of restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. I only wish we could have staid longer!
- 5/5
Great spot!!
- 5/5
Great 200 yr old bldg.
- 4/5
The parking lot need’s updating along with fleshing up the carpets and mattresses.
- 3/5
The room was nice and clean. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and loved it. The only downside we had was the room we were in was right under the check in desk and lobby entrance! Also this room was right beside the staircase that goes to the next floor. We heard footsteps the entire night. It was hard to rest.
- 4/5
The hotel is historic and very pretty. The river area is convenient but felt it has gotten a little run down. The hotel is beautiful.
- 4/5
Great location on the waterfront. Even though the rooms were updated, there were big stains on the carpet and the room had a musty smell like old laundry.
- 5/5
Excellent service. We would recommend it to family and friends
- 4/5
Incredible old building! Just needs a good dusting 😁
- 3/5
Walls are thin, lots of street noise and hall noise. Beds aren't very comfortable. However, staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
