Reviews
The JW Marriott in Savannah is a beautifully designed hotel with a rich history and scenic waterfront views, making it a popular choice for both leisure and business travelers. Guests generally praise the hotel's location, amenities, and unique decor, but some have expressed concerns about service inconsistencies and noise levels.
- Scenic waterfront location ideal for jogging and sightseeing
- Rich historical background providing an engaging stay
- Inconsistent service quality, particularly in the Seafood restaurant
- Noise levels from nearby bars and events

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
The closeness to the historical district. Make sure the keys of your vehicle is placed correctly in accordance to your car.

The place was better than the pictures. And the staff and amenities were amazing. Will definitely be staying here again

Great location, comfortable bedrooms Not what I would call 5 star service. Nobody to help with bags. Some very grumpy staff.

Staff is amazing.

Absolutely amazing, The staff was very helpful! I had a WiFi issue for work in my room and they sent staff right away to assist. The property was magnificent!

The riverside location is great! Lots of restaurants and live music within walking distance. Our room was on the river and very nice. The rooftop pool was relaxing rounded out our activities. Highly recommended!!

Front desk staff lost my roommate’s luggage for HOURS…they did compensate her, but it was frustrating!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with amazing staff
- 5/5
Beautiful & worth every penny! The staff was very kind and our room was huge and comfortable! Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night! Wish the price was a little lower but we loved that there were no hidden fees like the Westin Harbor Resort
- 5/5
One of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed. Perfect on all aspects. No issues all weekend. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.
- 5/5
Staff was professional and very helpful
- 5/5
Cool place in converted power station and great views of the river
- 5/5
Staying at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District felt magical. The lobby was like stepping into Night at the Museum—every turn revealed something fascinating. The staff were incredibly courteous and made us feel genuinely welcome. Add in the easy walk to River Street, restaurants, and shops, and this became one of the most memorable hotel experiences we've ever had. We can't wait to return. ❤️
- 3/5
In my opinion is 4 star minus , The room was dirty, with hair on the floor, and the water pressure in the shower was weak. The bedding appeared clean but had old stains. The location was perfect. Also, don't forget to carry your ID with you everywhere, as you have to show it every time you purchase alcohol ,

Stunning hotel in a great location ! Take advantage of their complimentary car service.
- 4/5
Room was clean but dated. Some furniture needs replaced power drapes need some repairs. Otherwise quiet and comfortable
- 5/5
Such care was taken in this adaptive reuse project! The building history and photos were remarkable as was the mini museum known as building 2’s lobby. Such a great hotel!
- 4/5
Was good
- 5/5
Not your average hotel, it's a renovated power plant. Nicely decorated and clean.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
- 5/5
A unique hotel
- 5/5
The location, staff and cleanliness far surpassed our expectations.
- 3/5
FOR HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS I REALLY WAS EXPECTING MORE FROM A MARRIOTT. WE CHECKED IN AT ONE BUILDING AND THE ROOM WAS IN THE NEXT ONE, THEY HAD VALET OUT IN THE PARKING LOT I REALLY THOUGHT THEY WOULD TRY AND OPEN THE DOOR FOR YOU. THE ROOM WAS CLEANED DAILY BUT MAINLY EMPTY GARBAGE AND TAKE TOWELS, NO CLEANING UP GLASSES OR VACUMMING. WHEN I GOT THE BILL THERE IS DAILY CHARGES I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE. EXPECT TO PAY HIGH CHARGES AT THEIR BARS AND RESTRAUNTS
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff,
- 5/5
First class property all the way …. Starting with a glass of champagne !! Very unique Marriott, with lots of sightseeing and places to eat and drink. Two roof top bars to enjoy.
- 3/5
Fire Alarms kept going off and no information provided. Had added expenses on bill
- 5/5
Everything is wonderful and they should be commended for breathing new life into Savannah. However, the placement of the toilet roll is absolutely baffling - right against your knee, so you can ride side saddle when you make brown. And the light switches might as well be installed at random around the room. But I will return nonetheless because it’s a great place.
- 2/5
The room description is very misleading. Some of the rooms have no window with a view of the outside world. It will overlook the inside elevator. I can’t imagine this is safe and also when morning comes you have no way of knowing.. no window for light to come in. Very claustrophobic and confining.
- 5/5
The pool was very nice comfortable and clean. Staff were great at the pool. We had “do not disturb sign” on the door, we received a text “ they were sorry they missed us and if we need anything to let them know. “ This is a classy hotel. I would stay there again and recommend to everyone. It is truly beautiful.

This place was awesome! The staff and people in general were all very friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend and return.
- 1/5
Additionally, one of the valet drivers hit another vehicle while bringing me my car—yes, my car was involved in an accident. While the staff was very apologetic and helpful in handling the situation, this was another issue that should not have occurred, especially considering the cost of staying at this establishment. I am now three hours away from home and will miss work because the car rental businesses are not open, creating an even more stressful and unexpected inconvenience. To make matters worse, we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and this was certainly not the weekend we had planned. For the most part, the staff was friendly and helpful. Joe and Jesse, in particular, were extremely supportive while assisting with the vehicle situation. Joe even offered to drive me home, which I greatly appreciated. Their kindness and professionalism were the bright spots in an otherwise very disappointing experience.

Amazing Hotel and Experience!!!
- 5/5
Most unique hotel I've every stayed. Really enjoyed the "museum" in the lobby. In a great location, staff was great. The pool on the roof was a nice chill out spot on a hot day. Will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
It was fantastic!

Very good
- 5/5
Excellent location and well done hotel.
- 5/5
The only negative comment will be regarding Expedia. There was an additional “Destination Fee” which had to be paid to the hotel when we checked out. The hotel did give us restaurant vouchers to counteract this fee but Expedia should include this in the upfront fees when booking. We would return to this hotel if we visit Savannah again!!!!

I recently had an incredible stay at the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District and can’t recommend it enough. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. **The Highlights:** * **Exceptional Service:** The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shout-out to the valet team—they were super helpful and made retrieving our car at the end of our stay a total breeze. * **Spacious & Comfortable Rooms:** Our room featured two queen beds and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. * **Impressive Bathroom:** The bathroom was huge! I especially loved the ample counter space, which made getting ready so much easier. * **Prime Location:** You couldn't ask for a better spot. The hotel is very central and puts you right in the middle of everything Savannah has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city!

Great restaurants and fun shopping. Checking in was easy and the receptionist was friendly and accommodating. She checked us in early and upgraded us to a river view. The rm was large and bed was super comfortable. One issue was the noise. Because of the historic building- you could hear the people above us walking around and you could hear the people next door.

We had a very nice stay but had to ask 2 times to have housekeeping make up our room.
- 5/5
The hotel decor was some of the best I’ve ever seen and the rooms were in amazing condition. The new property itself had so many food and drink options only a few steps away
- 5/5
It was fabulous !! Everyone was great ! We will be back !

Beautiful property at a perfect location on the west end of river street, great proximity to all the evening activities on the Savannah river. Wonderful bars and eateries and shopping - we’ll be back!

Our room was breathtaking. We always stay at this hotel when we go to Savannah, and it never disappoints.

Desk clerk Anthony was awesome.
- 4/5
Please make sure that the service or amenity is utilized by you in the itemized bill. The rooms were good, clean. Staff were friendly. Location was perfect. Accessibility was good.
- 5/5
We loved our stay with dogs
- 4/5
The sink in our room was clogged with throw up from the previous group. Not sure how the cleaning staff didn’t see that especially since we did a later than normal checkin…..no rush on our room. Additionally the barf made the roof stink which never seemed to clear.
- 3/5
The location was great! We Would have preferred the river side, due to noise and visually not appealing. The room was much smaller than we had expected, too cramoed with chaise and no sitting area. There were several things that we were not happy with. There was a strong fragrance coming through the hvac system that was so strong and floral, the handheld shower head was not working great, stuck on strong pressure. The room was extremely humid, we had to keep the air conditioning running to avoid the windows steaming up. The other problem we had, that we will be aware of in looking hotels in the future is that the handicap rail were on the left side and that doesn’t really work well for handicap people that are right handed, stroke.
- 5/5
The hotel is extremely aesthetically pleasing. I didn’t look at many photos before booking so I was very surprised. The person that completed the interior design should receive an award. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the hotel is in a perfect location nearby countless restaurants and bars. This was my first trip to Savannah and I’ll definitely stay at this property when I visit again. Thank you for your hospitality.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing from start to finish. Everyone went to great lengths to make us feel important and appreciated. Thank you for a great stay.
- 5/5
Room temp was perfect! Everything was beautiful, clean, exceeding my expectations! The staff that refreshed our room Sunday did an outstanding job. I was so pleased when we returned to our room. Staff, service, everything from beginning to end was amazing. I can’t thank you enough
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
Review would have been 5 star all around except for the noise from the "rooftop" restaurant which was close to our room on the 4th floor of a six floor building
- 5/5
One night didn’t use
- 2/5
The staff was clueless. Moved rooms due to issues. Out keys were always being disconnected. The couple we traveled with were given keys to our room “by mistake”. Our “upgraded room” was under a conf room or restaurant that had people moving things around two nights in a row at 4:00am. Then they claimed it was a water leak due to weather (sunny and in the 70s). The only good experience we had was with the valet. They were super friendly.
- 5/5
This is the best hotel in Savannah!
- 5/5
Everything from room cleanliness, sizeable room and staff friendliness and professionalism was perfect!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with a great location. Restaurants were all wonderful & love the museum located within the hotel itself. It was a perfect stay!

The loft room is awesome! Huge two story windows over looking the river. Great restaurant on property!
- 5/5
Absolutely the best! Concierge for sure was above and beyond.
- 5/5
Very clean and extra polite & friendly staff
- 5/5
Great staff, beautiful rooms and surroundings - all good!
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable beds and attentive staff. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
Had a first bad night. Room was next to roof top bar. Very nosy. Melissa was very gracious and made things right
- 3/5
Unfortunately our room was beside the nightclub that’s at the hotel. The music was blaring, bed vibrating and our seven year old couldn’t sleep. The staff did help by finding us a different room at 9:30 pm. The room we originally had should be for storage or laundry due to location by a loud night club. An elevator was out of order and took between 8-17 minutes to wait for one. Again, amazing staff but slightly disappointed in the stay especially with the price of the rooms.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was exceptional!
- 5/5
Great room and view. Loved the surrounding area.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean with a great view. Location of the hotel was perfect for our visit.
- 5/5
Great location and great staff.
- 3/5
I was super excited to stay at this gorgeous place. From the moment we arrived was a true blessing. The greetings from the valet was very inviting. The checkin was flawless until I got to the room. I booked for a room with the view facing the river. Well that didn't happen. I spoke to the front desk to see if there was anything they could do. She replied you booked a partial view. What? After dinner and sight seeing we made it back the room and OMG there won't be any sleeping anytime soon. The walls are banging with music full of bass. I am really saddened because I have been like a big kid finally making it to this lovely location and now its heartbreaking. I would love to go back to enjoy the facility but not in that room . I don’t mind regular noise but this was extreme until after 1am. I love Savannah and looked forward to a quick romantic getaway. We also unfortunately lost my husband's prescription smart eye glasses. Geesh.
- 5/5
Exceptional service and wonderful building
- 3/5
Was too noisy
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with incredibly helpful and kind staff. So much to do within very short walking distance, though the hotel makes you want to stay right inside!
- 5/5
Everything and everyone was wonderful

Beautiful place
- 5/5
Excellent staff and room.Enjoyed our stay with the Southern hospitality, will come back.
- 3/5
Noisy
- 2/5
Upon arrival to Valet parking, we were told there was no luggage carts or bellhops to assist with luggage. This was untrue.. while waiting in line to check in the front desk lady very nicely brought my husband a glass of wine and completely ignored me. We prepaid for breakfast when we made a reservation upon arriving at the breakfast restaurant we were told that not only did we need to pre-pay but we needed a reservation which we did not have. And when we checked out, said prepaid fee for breakfast had magically disappeared from our bill thankfully I had a receipt to provide them and of course valet parking…. The ones who were so unhelpful when we checked in, lost our car.. the whole vibe of our treatment was you are not welcomed to here. Really disappointed.
- 5/5
Super happy with our stay at this Hotel! Very different in many ways from the revamp of an old power plant to all the rare minerals and old artifacts. Excellent job at the layout and hospitality. Don't miss out, you won't be disappointed.
- 5/5
We had an excellent stay at JW Marriott Savannah. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the communication from staff was outstanding from start to finish. The location was perfect—convenient to everything while still feeling relaxing and upscale. We were very comfortable throughout our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
The only problem i had was that I got charged $36 twice for a destination fee, 1 for each night. They gave me two cards at check in and told me the cards could be used for each night. My guest and I used the card one time and the server took the card's and would not give them back for us to use them the next night. When I told the receptionist at checkout, they gave me one card back because they said that was not right. So one card is eighteen dollars. So I lost eighteen dollars from the other card. They charged $72 in total For the destination fee and I only got to use $54 of the $72. Othee than that everything was great.
- 3/5
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Stayed in the 3 muses building and was not impressed with the room. Definitely would not consider it 4 star.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Very beautiful hotel with stunning aritecture! There are numerous restaurants on site as well as being within walking distance to other eateries and activities. All staff as well as the valet attendants were very attentive and EXTREMELY nice. The room itself was amazing and the bed was soooooo cozy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!!
- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was excellent.

Lovely clean and comfortable room in a very cool/unique hotel. We would definitely return.

Only place I stay in Savannah
- 5/5
Room was awesome. Noise level was not the best.
- 3/5
Valet parking isn't provided as a part of the guests stay. It is an extra charge. $50+ each interaction. Don't believe Expedia if you purchase valet through them. You're going to pay the hotel for valet services.
- 5/5
Great property that was close to all that the city offered.
- 5/5
Great Room Great Location
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful, attentive and helpful. They made sure we saw the beauty of Savannah
- 5/5
The stay was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed!I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family.
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating, room had a perfect. the amenities were awesome. A perfect stay.
- 5/5
The entire area, hotel, and room was beautiful.
- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was A++
- 5/5
Our stay was fabulous!! Loved our room, great location, staff was so polite and helpful, really appreciated the 30.00 meal vouchers, used them all and the food was fabulous, loved the lobby displays and location of hotel is so accessible to everything else on the Riverfront. We have stayed here twice now and loved it both times!
- 5/5
The rooms and building is amazing. The Plant District is so much fun. It is the best option on river street
- 3/5
The front desk staff was great in the main building and the 3 muses building. The issue that was constantly happening through the 8 nights we were there was with housekeeping. We requested housekeeping everyday and just about everyday there was an issue. The lack of wash cloths was the most mesmerizing issue. The lack of coffee cups was a total different issue. We had to request wash cloths at the front desk in the 3 muses building. It was pathetic to have to request the basic essential of a wash cloth. One day we still didn't get any after talking face to face with the front desk. Now, one day we had to trade our hot tea bags for a coffee cup with our neighbors. I mean with the money flowing through that place it was just downright disturbing. We were paying a lot for the room and with all the issues the front desk had to give us 36 dollars comps, 18 dollar comps and starbucks comps. If I remember correctly it was close to 400 dollars in comps for the housekeeping issues. The rooms were not cheap but the housekeeping was. Just a huge disappointment overall considering the money that I invested into this trip....a more accurate word would be pathetic. I don't know who is running Marriott or the parent company but if this is how this hotel site is operating everyday then someone has got to get a handle on this place because this issue is costing you thousands each month if not tens of thousands. My wife and I will never stay here ever again and I will worn all!
- 3/5
The room was gorgeous, staff was great especially Jayden the bellhop! Did not like the view from the room, the noise from outside was horrible, was from a bar/club which u heard the music and base until 1 am every night! Told pool was heated, it was not!
- 5/5
The property is beautiful. Our room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing view. The staff was courteous! I love all of the shops, bars and restaurants along the river walk. I highly recommend staying at the JW Marriott.
- 5/5
yes
- 3/5
Our room was 2 doors down from the hotel rooftop night club. We got zero warning, but there were complimentary earplugs in our room. I mean…we literally got no sleep for 3 nights. They also don’t clean your room unless you request it. I find that really odd for a JW Marriott. Isn’t this supposed to be a top notch hotel? The only thing going for this hotel is the location on the river.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Staff, food & options - even on Christmas day.
- 5/5
Excellent stay at the jw Marriott. I love all of the shops, bars and restaurants along the river walk. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Cool hotel. Would have preferred a better city view than the rooftop but otherwise really neat
- 5/5
Great service!! And beautiful room and view
- 3/5
The property and the staffs were outstanding but the vallet parking they offered was a really nightmare I requested my car at 8:30 am and after 45 minutes waiting I decided go to get my car by myself and drive it back to the hotel it’s a shame because they charged 55 dollars a day
- 5/5
Clean and big rooms, amazing food, great location. The best valet parking
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Parking was terrible, music was blaring until 3 AM, moved to a room that wasn’t made up, sheets provided were still wet, room service food cold, friendliness of staff at check in and out was nonexistent. Honestly shocked by how bad it was given JW Marriott reputation. Would NOT recommend!
- 5/5
Love this hotel, always a great experience. The holidays are the best time. The staff was very helpful and super nice.
- 5/5
Our room was awesome and corner location higher floor with a separate sitting area much like a suite. It reminded me of our room in Vegas!
- 5/5
Room was beautiful, great location

Everything was absolutely amazing the room was clean and very spacious. The staff that we interacted with during our stay were extremely friendly and helpful.

- 5/5
Awesome views, pleasant staff
- 5/5
Excellent service and amazing atmosphere
- 5/5
Confusing as to where to valet car and check in because it’s 3 buildings. Needs better signage.
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel. Extremely clean. Excellent service.

Beautiful property with three very unique buildings. Room had a great view of the river and was very convenient to excellent restaurants and shopping.

- 5/5
The hotel was lovely with art and shops throughout the property. The room was nice and cozy.
- 5/5
This was such a great getaway. The environment was perfect.
- 5/5
I have traveled all over the world but this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It was like staying in a museum. The artifacts on display are absolutely amazing and the many Christmas trees were stunning. The overall decor was breathtaking. The dining establishments were also top-tier. However, the concierge team is why I am returning...Ms. Tania and Ms. Dee went above and beyond in ensuring that all our needs were met. They were so engaging and attentive not just to our family but I observed their interactions with others during our stay and realized I have not received such a high level of service in any of my many hotel stays. I am already planning my return visit.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel, beautiful Christmas displays, great location. We will be back!
- 5/5
This is a fabulous hotel. The room was spacious, the staff were helpful, and the location is fantastic. The art, geodes, dinosaurs, bars, restaurants, and shops make this a one of a kind place.
- 5/5
Staff was all very kind and helpful
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing! I went around the holidays so everything was festive and decorative. The hotel was beautiful and during checkin I was offered champagne by their awesome front desk staff. I went from Melissa checking me in and offering amazing customer service and information and then to Brandon taking my luggage and showing me to my room. They were both personable and professional. The next day I met Latocha from concierge who was nice and gave me a ride nearby and offered helpful dinner suggestions..Lastly,.i met Renee who was friendly and helpful in describing different amenities at the hotel. Overall I thoroughly pleased and will definitely return again.
- 5/5
Was very soooky at night with wandering groups of people
- 5/5
Courteous staff, excellent amenity options, and amazing property
- 5/5
Everything was amazing! Staff was courteous, room was spotless, credit vouchers were great!
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. This location is beautiful and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in this incredible city. I only gave 3 stars for staff as the cleaning crew left us with no towels on two consecutive days. Once is a mistake but it happened twice. The front desk was attentive and immediately had towels brought up after we notified them of the oversight.
- 5/5
Over all experience exceeds expectation
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel right on the river. Staff was wonderful, room was clean, location was perfect!
- 1/5
Room wasn’t ready on time, room fridge didn’t work, toliet stopped working
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful! Front desk and hotel staff were friendly and professional. Had a river view room to my children's delight. Breakfast buffet was very good. My children had breakfast off the menu. Also excellent. The art work was an added binus. Bea and historical. Will definitely visit again

Firstly, we paid extra for a city view and ended up looking directly at the hotel’s unattractive lobby roof. On top of that, the hotel adds an additional $130 in “taxes & destination fees” that provide absolutely nothing but a glass of prosecco upon arrival and water bottles. I stay at 5-star hotels frequently, and I’ve never encountered fees like this. The dining prices were outrageous for the subpar quality and portions. Our first night at the Italian restaurant was $90 for two people with no alcohol. My $35 lobster pasta arrived as mac & cheese with five dime size pieces of lobster (I counted them). my partner’s lasagna was extremely small and completely flavorless. Even the meatball appetizer was just three tiny, bland meatballs. The next morning, two ham-and-cheese croissants and one coffee cost $36. Dinner at the Mexican restaurant was another $90 for just nachos and mixed meat tacos—again, no liquor. The rooftop brunch was the most disappointing. Another $90 for an omelette, a tiny rib w| grits, and a wooden tray with two miniature pieces of cheese, two slices of salami, two strawberries and two mini pastries. We left genuinely hungry. We’re New Yorkers—we can handle expensive dining. But this was a disgrace. If the hotel is going to charge these prices, the very least they should offer is quality food with reasonable portions. Very disappointing experience for what should have been a luxury stay.

Absolutely amazing. Room service was incredibly fast and was served with a tray real dishes and silverware. Should crazy but im tired of ordering room service and getting a paperbag delivered. With that being said. Everything was amazing room, staff, spa and the fine dining restaurant "stone". I could go on and on. 🤣❤️❤️❤️

Great service, great location!!! Our concierge was excellent.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Unique ambience.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, clean room, tons of restaurants to chose from and walking distance to many locations
- 2/5
Overall I wasn’t impressed by my stay. The room was a good size, got a lot of good light and the towels and bed were soft. The staff we interacted with were very courteous and helpful. The main problem with our stay however was with getting our room serviced. It took asking 5 times for us to finally get housekeeping to come to our room. The first time they came by for normal service, we had the “do not disturb” sign up and housekeeping texted saying they would service the room if we let them know we were out. I texted the room was free and the sign down. We left for the day, and came back about 4 hours later and the room hadn’t been touched. We went back out, asking the front desk to have our room serviced. We returned a few hours later, still no service. We went to the front desk, and they said they would get right on it and it would be done immediately. We left again for over an hour, and when we came back it still had not been touched. I called the front desk and went back down again to say something. They came back saying that our room had the “do not disturb” sign on the door and that’s why it wasn’t done, but had they sent someone by the room, they would have been able to see the sign wasn’t on the door. It was incredibly frustrating and I’m not sure where the disconnect was but it certainly did not get our trip off to a good start.
- 5/5
Turbine had great coffee and breakfast options. The breakfast sandwich was big. The room was clean and nice. Greeted with a glass of champagne. The JW made my stay great and 10 out of 10 would come again.
- 5/5
A beautiful hotel, close to everything, very friendly staff and a nice restaurant (Turbine) for an excellent breakfast. Just be sure to stay on the river side for great views and quiet night’s sleep
- 5/5
Greeted well and staff very helpful. Hotel is beautiful.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful room! Great service, lovely hotel. Room was huge and 2 stories. We each had our own bathroom. What a treat and everything was walkable from our location. Would highly recommend d this JW Marriott
- 5/5
We were able to get in without reservations to Stone and Webster, thanks to the hostess and Kate offered us great service. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Food was great- especially the Chop House. All staff were very nice and helpful with the exception of the checkout staff. They seemed very put out with us asking them to call a taxi.

Had an amazing time
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful.
- 5/5
Turbine breakfast very good. Cleanliness of property and dining options abundant. All around excellent.
- 5/5
We stayed in the Power Plant building. The dinosaur and geologic collection were fantastic. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. First night there was loud music coming from the bar downstairs until 10:30 PM, but at least they stopped on time. We ate breakfast at the Turbine Market & Cafe each day which was very good. Also had lunch at the Savannah Tequila Co. which was also very good.
- 5/5
Very nice area
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
My wife and I loved our stay. Only issue was room was on River St side and with the bar Saddlebags across the street, music was very loud in room late night. But every other part of the stay was excellent.
- 5/5
Rooms were very nice and clean. Very large and specious. Staff was nice and helpful as well.
- 5/5
The crystal displays and unique lounge area.
- 5/5
The JW Marriott did a fantastic job putting new life into an abandoned power plant along the busy river walk. You can see huge container ships coming into port a few times a day, it's wild how BIG they are! This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Savannah. Easly accessible via Uber and very easy to go walking from!
- 5/5
full bar and used breakfast takeout instead of sitting.
- 5/5
The “off the menu choices” for breakfast offered at the cafe in the Marriott Plant was delicious, housekeeping does a terrific job, bed & pillows were extremely comfortable & furniture, carpet & bedding all were in great shape. The Marriott Plant offered a couple great amenities to include car service to restaurants, etc in downtown Savannah at no cost (I always tipped the driver) & at check-in I was given a discount card for each day of my stay for $18 off one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) at any of the three Riverside Marriotts on the property I can honestly say every staff member I encountered was friendly & eager to help. I had a great 4 night stay, would definitely stay again & would highly recommend the hotel to family & friends.
- 5/5
Lovely place and wonderful staff.
- 5/5
I love the five star treatment
- 5/5
Walkable property, variety of restaurants
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
However, one of the curtains didn’t close on one window and the hooks were off the top of the curtain All was amazing except the pull out sofa mattress was severely stained ick and we had to call for linens for it and a thin blanket was brought up ….super disappointed for the money we spent . The loft bed was a full size but it was clean and the slippers provided were appreciated as the floor was sticky But beautiful hotel overall
- 3/5
Apparently when you book through a third party they give you the worst room possible. I was given a room that had a common call with their dance club. Loud music and the headboard was vibrating until 1:00am. Called to change rooms and they said they were full so not happening. I had taken a red eye and traveled all day only to be awake all night! Horrible service.
- 5/5
Fantastic stay. Beautiful property and room. Excellent accommodations, we will definitely be back
- 4/5
It is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities and amazing location. The only 2 complaints I have is I thought the beds were hard. I didn’t sleep good because of it. Also, it rained while we were there and you could hear the water dripping from the roof/brick wall in our room.
- 5/5
The Spa was Excellent
- 3/5
Once we finally got into the room, it was underwhelming. There was only one outlet for charging devices, and it was at the desk — nothing near the bed. The end tables didn’t match, one of the lamps didn’t work, the bathroom didn’t have a fan, there was no microwave, and every clock was set to the wrong date and time. Even the TV still had a welcome message for a previous guest. For nearly $1,000 for a two-night stay, I expected things to feel more polished and put together. When I brought up my concerns at checkout, the front desk staff just said they had been at full capacity, no apology or effort to make things right. Unfortunately, I’m not sure I’d stay here again
- 5/5
Pro tip- Don't stay on the 5th floor of building #2- the night club on the roof is too loud. That said, I would absolutely stay there again.
- 5/5
The property is huge with so many different options to choose from in regard to food, shopping, drinks, etc. We had a blast, and thoroughly enjoyed our room! The best part is the hotel is dog friendly, so we were able to bring the whole family!!!
- 2/5
I was there for my birthday and we requested a balcony room, we did not get. Shower was dripping, bed slept good. We were not informed that we would be paying over $90 per night for parking otherwise we would have to pay as we go in and out.
- 5/5
I don’t think I would have wanted to stay anywhere else. It was beautiful.
- 5/5
Overall it was a wonderful experience and would stay again
- 4/5
Everything was great, the only problem was the room was noisy during the evening hours
- 5/5
This Hotel is amazing. The fossils are throughout the hotel and they are very family oriented. They have a scavenger hunt for the kids to complete along with a prize for completing it. We are definitely making another trip to Savannah, and we will stay here again. It will be my hotel of choice every trip to Savannah. The staff are amazing, valet parking is included, the restaurants are fantastic, stunning views of the river and a lot of history to see. I would give so many more stars than 5. This is a must visit place if you are coming to Savannah.
- 5/5
Spa was nice but overpriced with an unexpected $98 fee.
- 5/5
Great facility on all fronts
- 5/5
Amazing stay! 5 star all the way!
- 5/5
This is a beautiful property!!! We had a great room- it wea in the three muse’s building. The room had view of the river with a balcony. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the cargo ships go by. The interior of the hotel is exquisite. We would definitely go back.
- 4/5
The crew special Mekenzie and Calvin were super services oriented. They did above and beyond to accommodate me. The hotel felt great and we really enjoyed our stay. The restaurants, the Valet, the crew was amazing, only one important thing the hotel need some deep cleaning and better maintenance
- 5/5
Best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. From start to finish this hotel delivered in every way possible. The food was great, the room was excellent, and the staff was over the top. The city is fun and easily accessible.
- 5/5
We were there on a ladies trip and couldn’t have picked a better place. We were upgraded, no charge to the Atlantic with a balcony. Very clean room, comfortable beds and bedding. Bathroom was beautiful. Very much enjoyed watching the container ships come in and out on the river. All services were excellent! I would stay there again. Fun bars and restaurants right there.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel in heart of Savannah. Loved the rooftop pool lounge and the riverside dining options. Room was large and well appointed. 5 stars.
- 4/5
Overall, it was excellent. Please note there is no guarantee as to which of the three hotels you actually stay at. We were under the impression we were staying in the plant itself, and ended up in the Three Muses portion.
- 5/5
What a spectacular property , the service and the room 5 star . And what a museum on the property . They also have a genesis limo to drop you off somewhere locally. The riverfront side loaded with restaurants. Big but intimate service, you can text all your wishes . Stay here .
- 4/5
The hotel, hotel staff, and surrounding areas were amazing. Great hotel to stay at….we had one problem. The location of our hotel room was adjacent to the a stairwell that was used to leave the late night roof top bar. We unfortunately heard footsteps until 1am. I am sure that we could have been relocated to a different room if asked but just dealt with it. If your staying in the power plant side of the hotel and room is located near the stairs….do yourself a favor and ask to move to a different room.
- 5/5
The property was beautiful my daughters and I had an awesome weekend with plenty of restaurants and stores to explore. The staff made our experience delightful with their knowledge of the city and the activities available while we were there.
- 5/5
Beautiful property and the front desk staff was super friendly.
- 4/5
Best hotel in Savannah
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
We initially rented a suite loft in the Muse building. The room itself was beautiful, but unfortunately, the live music from the bar was so loud that we couldn't get any rest until it ended around 2:30 AM, even with the room's sound machine on. When we mentioned this to the staff the next day, they were incredibly accommodating and moved us to a different, much quieter building. Our second night was peaceful and restful. We are very grateful for the excellent service provided by your staff.

Great location!

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff!
- 5/5
Beautiful property, the staff was very friendly and helpful in all aspects!!!
- 5/5
So much to do at the hotel and nearby
- 5/5
Hotel Magnificent
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time
- 2/5
Very understaffed. Long wait time for anything.
- 5/5
Was a beautiful property.
- 4/5
You pay for the property not the room. The room was no more than a standard hotel room but the property was beautiful. On top of the room fee you pay an additional resort fee and $57 in parking fees
- 5/5
Property was very clean, staff was very personable.
- 5/5
Only problem was one of our party got food poisoning from one of the property’s restaurants but management was kind about it and comp’ed us our next stay at one of the property’s other restaurants.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great location and staff. River view room is the way to go.
- 5/5
The team at JW was outstanding! From the moment we arrived and served champagne while checking in to our last interaction with the valet, everyone was world class. Will definitely stay when in town
- 4/5
A bit too warm but we were able to ask for a fan and that helped. Paid for early check in at noon but room wasn’t ready until after 1:30. No refund was offered. Too many taxes and fees. Parking was 54 a night plus tax. Room was clean a bit on the small side.
- 5/5
One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in and the location is fantastic
- 5/5
The "re-purposed" building was very interesting. Place was clean and fun to explore.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect thank
- 5/5
This place is beautiful all around. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Love the museum
- 5/5
We found the parking to be a bit high but other than that the property is beautiful
- 5/5
Staff couldn't have been nicer. Property was beautiful and convenient to everything. Multiple dining options on property to suit all tastes/budget. The pool area was clean and relaxing. It was such a joy to cool off there! My room was a little bit noisy, but nothing to really complain about - afterall this is a hotel right in the middle of lots of things going on.
- 5/5
Beautiful facility and excellent atmosphere
- 4/5
I wish the staff would have told you where to find everything
- 1/5
Room condition was so bad. Carpet was dirty and damp, the room was noisy with party sounds. It did not live up to Marriott's reputation
- 5/5
excellent choice for savannah
- 5/5
This is one of the most unique properties I’ve ever stayed at. The geode and fossil collection is amazing.
- 4/5
Wonderful property!! We weren't thrilled with the $54 per day parking fee or the $36 a day resort fee. Not sure what the resort fee includes as we weren’t told about it at check-in. They couldn’t print our bill at check-out to review and said it was emailed to us. It was not, so 2 days later I called and they emailed it. That’s when I noticed these charges. Two night stay and over $190 in parking, resort fee and tax for them. That was shocking!
- 5/5
Everything about the property and staff was amazing.
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The room was immaculate. The check in and out process was incredibly effortless.
- 5/5
I loved this hotel. Every staff member went above and beyond! The pool is gorgeous and location in town is the best. I wont stay anywhere else. Jasmyne at front desk helped us wit a room upgrade and made it so quick and easy. Thanks so much
- 5/5
Very large property with multiple places to eat and have a drink within the hotel.
- 5/5
This is a very large property with many dining and shopping options on the riverfront. It is an extremely busy hotel and the staff was helpful but overwhelmed.
- 5/5
10/10 on the service and cleanliness of the hotel. Sean was an absolute angel, and made us feel welcomed upon visit!
- 4/5
Was able to check in earlier than listed. Was informed they upgraded us to a river front view that was very nice. Was offered a complimentary bottle of champagne, however we never received it. Really enjoyed our stay though.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Great location. Staff was very courteous and helpful!
- 5/5
It’s amazing property
- 5/5
Such a nice area to stay to explore Savannah!
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Always a top shelf property
- 5/5
Only thing I didn’t like was the valet charge that wasn’t informed to me until the end of stay.
- 5/5
My experience at the JW Marriot was superb. The stay was very comfortable and the views were amazing. I loved the museum artifacts that were for showcase in the lobby and throughout the building. I had a river front view and enjoyed watching the ships and cargo boats pass by.
- 5/5
Amazing property to visit, it was our first time going to savannah. The hotel, lobby and staff were amazing! Beautiful location and very walkable to all historic site locations in Savannah!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, perfect location - made our stay in Savannah very special
- 5/5
Love this hotel and will be back
- 3/5
Hotel in different buildings. Hard to find amenities in the hotel.
- 3/5
They said they upgraded our room. When they actually downgraded from a river front view to a street view.
- 5/5
Simply the most luxurious hotel with the friendliest staff in Savannah!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Parking is EXPENSIVE! The property has an excellent location and is visually beautiful.
- 3/5
No convenience store, no cafe till 11pm, only one elevator running. Maintenance poor. Took 25 minutes to have valet take bags on a Monday. Fail to upgrade with my Marriott card. The parking everyday for valet is ridiculous 54.00 a day.
- 5/5
Perfect location resort feel!
- 5/5
this is a fabulous property, every single staff member went above and beyond! the rooms are beautiful. We ate at several restaurants on property, and all were awesome (especially the Savannah Tequila Company). I will definitely stay here again. My only complaint, (and it isn't their fault) our room was street side in the Three Muses building and a business right across the street (I think the breakfast place) cranked music super loud at like 6:00am.
- 4/5
Fairly clean, beautiful hotel. I like that they held our bags during checkout so we could do more sightseeing before leaving. The only thing I was unhappy about was a fraudulent charge to my room that the hotel did not take care of.
- 4/5
Also, our room was very close to the sky rooftop lounge and extremely loud until 3am both nights
- 3/5
My husband and I travel often and we were really looking forward to our stay here. However, we were very disappointed with the accommodations. The hotel is spread out over three buildings so please be aware of that when booking. They DO NOT share that information. Also we were UPGRADED to street side, which may have been great if we were there to party since the street parties went on until the early hours of the morning. We were there for our anniversary and would have enjoyed some quiet time with a river view. When I requested that, I was again told that we were being UPGRADED. I'm assuming this was the only king size room available. It also happened to be the third building down from check in. I will say in error that we did not select the valet parking. That is a MUST! We parked in the closest parking garage and ended up with an additional $115 in parking for two days. We also had to carry our own luggage down the street to the appropriate buiding because there is NO INDOOR CONNECTOR between buidlings two and three. Also, when we wanted to go to the pool, we were informed that it is on the 6th floor of the same building as the parking garage. We had to walk down the street to get to the other building to be able to access the pool. The whole experience was just really inconvenient. The room was nice enough but definitely not worth the nightly rate that we paid. I've had much more enjoyable and more comfortable stays at Hilton Hotels all across the USA.
- 5/5
Great experience here
- 5/5
Excellent location and staff. Big rooms, very clean. Definitely recommend!
- 5/5
The staff at this property is AMAZING, and that is really an understatement. Melissa Williams who helped us get checked in is EXCEPTIONAL. She made us feel special in so many ways. It’s been so long since I felt this level of service at a hotel/resort. For this reason alone, I will be back.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel! Champagne when you check-in. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. Would only stay here if coming back to Savannah!
- 5/5
Beautiful property. The parking lot was hard to get into for valet parking and our truck wouldn’t fit so we paid oversized vehicle at a rate of $75.
- 5/5
1st time in Savannah, and it was an excellent experience.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved staying here,
- 4/5
Loved the vibe in the lobby. Our son (age 2) was so excited to see the dinosaur. Loved the complimentary water/champagne at check-in. Our room was huge and we loved watching ships go down the River. Just a few things they could improve… We were told our luggage would be brought up shortly after check-in and 2 hours later I had to call to be brought to our room. Our lock on our door kept sticking which made it difficult to close. When we arrived to the room the heat was on. It was HOT. Should be an easy fix. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
We had a great time
- 5/5
This is the single nicest and best hotel we've ever stayed at. We will not stay anywhere else in Savannah.
- 5/5
Everything was resort perfect the gym, the pool, the accommodations and restaurants! The staff was amazing as well. The spa was a bit small for the type of place this was and the cost.
- 5/5
Museum quality artifacts displayed in abundance. Extremely helpful staff and the property is kept updated and very clean. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Sevannah.
- 5/5
The Amenities were great, but the booking wasn't the one I requested with Expedia. I requested the Loft for the entire stay, but was not afforded the room for the entire stay! I was very disappointed.
- 5/5
Location
