Guests generally appreciate the hotel's convenient location and friendly staff. However, noise from the street and high parking fees are frequent complaints.

The property is the prime location to enjoy Savannah. It’s a few steps from the City Market, a Trolley stop, River Street, and a 20 minute drive to Tybee Island. The staff was polite and helped with recommendations to enjoy the city. We used valet to park our car for the entire weekend and only moved it once to drive to Tybee Island. I’m definitely returning.
- 3/5
Decent location but very loud at night and the room stayed hot.
- 5/5
This property is everything you come to expect from Hilton.
- 4/5
Do not get a room on Bay St. Traffic will keep you awake all night!
- 4/5
It’s was clean and conveniently located. It could use a touch up on paint and bathroom area but overall good place to stay. Oh and beware that the windows are super thin so you will likely hear everything, everyone and every truck driving by.
- 5/5
Helpful front desk staff, enjoyable hot tub and pool, clean and well-maintained rooms, and just an overall great experience. My wife and I had the best honeymoon stay here!
- 3.5/5
Wallet parking at $48 is pricey! Was glad I checked that Orion and used an underground lot on Whatly...2 blocks away for $20 nightly. I asked for quiet room. Bay street is VERY noisy with truck traffic starting at 4:30 am.. Surprised how un sound proffed the windows were..
- 5/5
Perfect location.
- 4/5
The stay was really nice but the peeling paint in the shower and $50 parking is what kept me from an excellent rating
- 2/5
Very very loud. My room was on the 4th floor right above Bay Street. From 6 am to midnight, the traffic was extremely loud. Dump trucks, semi truck, motorcycles, and loud music went on from sun up to sun down. I got zero rest. Maybe they should think about installing double panes from room above one of the busiest intersections in Savannah. However, the staff were friendly and the location was great.
- 4/5
Location. Clean
- 4/5
Beautiful property, well decorated
- 5/5
I extended my stay for an additional day and the staff was very helpful with allowing me stay in the same room instead of moving.
- 5/5
This is a beautiful property located in a fantastic location. The only thing that was a bit aggravating was that our room faced the street and you can hear really loud traffic starting at around 4am. We wore earplugs the second night so it was okay. Overall that wouldn’t deter me from staying at this hotel again. It has a beautiful lobby, the rooms were nice (big fluffy towels, Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries) and the location can’t be beat.
- 4/5

Loved the staff and how friendly they are the room was clean
- 1/5
Nice and clean and cold Valet parking at 50 bucks a day that was never mentioned to us until we arrived for stay.
- 1/5
An old building, super dirty room and hallways, 2 very very old elevators (occasional wait time up to 10 mins) and unbelievably bored/angry/checked-out staff especially at the check-in counter. I was in Savannah for a conference and the first two days, I got to stay at homewoods suites which was superb compared to this place! Seriously, stay away and don't ruin your vacation! Pool is on the second floor, not heated and very dirty (in my first hotel, the heated pool was on the top floor fully served). Also, there is NO hot breakfast cooked to order; you will get coupons for buffet which has literally nothing better that typical american breakfast places you can book for a third of the price! My very honest opinion.

Best service we’ve ever had. Always stay at this location cause it’s close to City Market And River Street. Valets were great!!

Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was not good at all and was $18 a person for the buffet. Definitely would not recommend eating there when there are so many places nearby that are very good.
- 4/5
Location in historic area was good. Was surprised at parking expense - valet only. Facilities were on par with other hotels. Free morning coffee! Lovely lounge area behind the lobby. Not quiet as truck traffic all night was as if the windows were open.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Location to food etc was good Paying so much for parking when you're already paying to stay was disappointing and not well disclosed upfront. I didn't like that at all and would not have booked there had i known. Also no microwave in the room.

One of the elevators was down but back up the next day!

For the price of a King with Whirlpool tub, you think the room would have had a simple microwave or a working soda vending machine by the elevators. Having to walk around town for 30 minutes late at night to get something to drink is insane.

Only thing I didn't like was that my father was also staying at the same hotel for work reasons. We share the same last name and the staff Brough up my car from the valet for him. I just do not like the idea that anyone with the same last name could have taken my car. I was lucky it was just my dad.

The hotel was clean and friendly. They had staff stationed inside and out, giving an extra sense of care and safety. The location was fantastic! We recommend this to families and people of all ages.

The first night was a disaster with the room they put us in and not sleep all night. Second night was fine when they moved us up to the sixth floor. The parking felt very safe and secure, but the rates were absorbent.

My check-in was not the best, the front desk clerk was not as accommodating as I am used to. She did not acknowledge me as an honors member, I requested a late check out and she told me that the best she could do was 12:00. I have been traveling with Hilton for over 20 years, this is the first time I have ever been given such an early time for a late check out, it is usually 1 or 2.

We reserved a room with a king sized bed and we're given a room with 2 doubles instead, The bathroom was not very clean. Shaving cream and hair stubble in the tub, hair on the bathroom floor. Vending machine was empty. Parking was expensive and not included in the price. This was our first time staying at a Doubletree establishment and we're very disappointed . Definitely not the quality that we were expecting .

We were staying only one night and flying out early the next morning so we didn't have the breakfast. The dining room looked lovely, though, and there was great coffee/beverage station closeby. We had planned to have some bar food for a light dinner, but were told by the bartender that "her food guy couldn't come in tonight" so there was no food. She was very nice, though. The hotel is very close to City Market and River Street, which is a big plus. Also, very attentive third-party valet service.

Easy check in and out I have stayed several amazing hotels in Savannah for a few dollars more I could have stayed in a nice kept up one. I have stayed at Double tree a few times years ago but it is now run down . I won’t be back. Also $58 to valet park ridiculous !

Work on the cleanliness of the hotel rooms. We walked in with dirty towels hanging up in the bathroom. I think they were left up from the previous guest and housekeeping may have assumed they were never used. The floor was not vacuumed well.

Our stay at this property was extremely positive. The staff were very friendly even when we arrived at 2am to check in due to a delayed flight. The room was clean and spacious. The fitness center was pretty small but had enough equipment for a good workout. The pool and hot tub looked inviting, although we did not get a chance to use either. The location was great and many things, including the waterfront and City Market, were easily walkable. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and pillows were good. If you’re a light sleeper, highly ask for a room that’s not got a window facing the main street. Try to get one towards the back of the property by the parking lot. There’s a lot of traffic on that street.

Room wasn't cleaned, although did not request it. Just assumed it would be cleaned daily.

The location was excellent, park and walk all around the city. Parking is $50 per day though Check in and check out we’re complicated. There were errors with my bill and I had to make 3 phone calls afterwards to get it all straightened out. It seemed the front desk didn’t understand their computer system or something

The room was great accept the HVAC sounded like an airplane was taking off every time the heating or air conditioning came on . We were able to figure out that if you kept it 70 only the fan was on. However your bedding system of a heavy comforter needs a cooler room for our liking. Either replace your HVAC or a lighter comforter. Thanks

We had an incredible experience at the restaurant, all thanks to a truly wonderful lady who served us. Her hospitality was out of this world. From the moment we sat down, we felt her warmth and a sincere desire to make our meal perfect. It didn’t feel like she was just doing her job; she was genuinely welcoming and kind. It was so refreshing to be looked after by someone with such a heart for service. She is a credit to the hotel!

A pretty standard experience in a great part of town. Hotel is dated a bit. The valet parking is a bit of a cluster as they’re unaffiliated with the hotel and you pay separate and it’s a small driveway. Rooms were standard, a bit dated. Location you cannot beat.

We informed the hotel that we would be arriving around 7:30 as we were driving in from Savanah. We arrived, checked in and went to our room. When we got in the room it was not the room we booked. Dragged all of our things back down to the lobby where the lady on the desk said " oh yeah, I wanted to tell you that. We have been oversold by 10 rooms so some of the King rooms were changed to city view doubles. Only after we were disgruntled did she give us 2 breakfast vouchers but nothing else was done to get our original booking back. It was only one night so we said fine. However later on the room was noisy because of course, it was a city view with the noise coming from the market rock bands nearby. But the real disappointment was upon checkout, only when we got in the car to leave did we notice that they overcharged us for the room by over a hundred dollars. We went back in to the front desk to correct this and were refunded, though we've yet to see it on the card, but hardly an apology was made. more like an oops. We suspect that we were charged the room rate of the room that they changed on us because again, THEY gave someone else our room because THEY oversold. Other notes to add, first, as a heads up the valet parking is handled by a separate entity, so you have to deal with the guys at the front separately and give them your credit card and also, breakfast was not that great but we didn't care that much about the breakfast.

Everyone was so nice, the room was spotless, and we didn’t have to wait at all. As soon as we checked in, the front desk sent a text to ask how things were going and if we needed anything to contact that number which was amazing. They offer you a chocolate chip and walnut cookie, TAKE IT! It’s warm and delicious. Although our stay was perfect, I wish there was another option for valet, but that’s Savannah in general and not unique to this hotel. On a positive, I knew my vehicle was safe in this lot compared to others. We also had a fire alarm go off and we had to evacuate. That wasn’t their fault at all, they communicated well and the fire department was there immediately. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. You can’t beat comfortable, spotless and safe in Savannah!

- 5/5
room spotless great area great staff
- 4/5
Nice location close to everything. Staff were wonderful and very helpful! Parking is expensive and time consuming, though.
- 5/5
The hotel has a perfect location. Everything is walkable so we didn't have to worry about driving.
- 5/5
Valet was amazing and efficient. Room was clean. Great amenities. I'll be back!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great location, didn't have the breakfast this time.
- 5/5
Coffee in the lobby
- 5/5
Staff very nice and very nice rooms.
- 5/5
I had a great stay.
- 4/5
Was very nice no complaints
- 5/5
The proximity of this hotel to the local restaurants and attractions makes this an ideal location. The staff was courteous and made you feel welcomed.
- 3/5
Room, property, staff were all great! Downside: No alternative dining options close by. The major problem was parking. I was charged $50 a day for parking!! Not good. I asked about alternative parking options and I was told there was a public parking garage about half a mile away. Had I known this, i would have stayed somewhere else!
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Room was great! Excellent location
- 4/5
Valet parking was more expensive than listed on both the app and Double Tree's website. I definitely advise calling and checking the pricing on that as that was a contributing factor to picking this hotel and it was nearly double the price advertised. Also, I'm not sure what can be done about this but we were up near the top floors on the 4th floor roadside and the road noise was extremely loud all throughout the night making it hard to sleep and get good rest. I must say the view the roadside room offered was fantastic but if you're looking for good sleep you might want to ask for room on the other side of the building. Other than that everything was actually pretty great but those were the two main issues we encountered on our stay.
- 5/5
Always a great stay!
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
Clean room! Nice service and staff! Great valet!
- 4/5
Great location, rooms really nice, staff very friendly. Did not have a business center.
- 2/5
Bathroom sink didn’t drain. Housekeeping never came to clean room till after five when we were just coming in. So took clean towels and bath. Told her to forget it. That is way too late.
- 1/5
Hotel is sadly in need of renovation. Old carpets, thin windows hearing outside noise from the 5th floor, no USB ports. These items were present before the flood in the room across the hall which led to loud vacuums and fans starting 3:30am - these things happen, but the management would not change our room and incorrectly told us multiple time the fans would be turned off. They comped the room one night but not the second when I had 7 contacts with the front desk and management. Not the relaxing enjoyable stay I looked forward to.
- 5/5
Always great cookies! Staff was super helpful with recommendations. The staff in the parking garage also gave directions and recommendations. The room was beautiful. We bought breakfast the next morning and the breakfast burrito was sooo good! Washed our clothes here as well. Close to the market and stop for the trolley.
- 4/5
The bed was excellent. Our bedroom was on the Bay St. side and noisy all night long with truck traffic. I would recommend gettig a room on the other side of the hotel.
- 1/5
The bed was not clean. We found hair on the bed sheets and stains.
- 5/5
Jamie service was excellent. Elise was great at the desk. Hilton always comes through but the parking company they use has a very hard time charging you correctly.
- 1/5
On the second night, both our toilet and a friend’s toilet (on the fourth floor) were clogged. While I was drying my hair, the power went out, and I had to call the front desk again so they could contact engineering. Overall, a terrible experience. I’ll never book through Expedia or stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
Price and was not offerd for blue status memeber
- 5/5
Clean room . Friendly staff
- 5/5
Everything was very nice!
- 3/5
Nice room, clean hotel, easy check in…but man is this a noisy location! Very hard to sleep with the road running right next door.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and courteous, the room was clean and the shower and tub were amazing.
- 5/5
We drove over to attend a concert in the Plant District and since we’ve stayed at this hotel in the past we chose it again. We enjoyed our stay and plan to try to stay there again in the future. It’s a very nice hotel and the atmosphere and staff are really pleasant.
- 5/5
This was a nice hotel in a good location. The staff were super friendly (and generous with the delicious, warm choc chip cookies), the room was clean and spacious, and the price was reasonable. Easy walk to River Street and lots of other sights, restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
Very convenient to downtown. Nice and clean and delicious cookies !
- 5/5
We stayed in a beautiful King Suite. We pulled out the couch bed and the bed wasn’t made with clean sheets. We pulled the top sheet back and there were cookie crumbs all in the bed. We notified the desk and the immediately came to correct the cleaning issue.
- 1/5
Anybody could have walked them
- 4/5
Hotel does not offer dinner, only breakfast. Location is great. Little noisy, specially in the morning during rush hours.
- 5/5
Room was clean, beds were very comfortable,
- 4/5
Staff was good, didn’t go to bar. Tried to attend breakfast but the hostess never came back to seat us. We ended up down the street to a coffee, the coffee was good!!
- 5/5
Excellent service and a clean room. I would highly recommend the Double Tree Hotel while in Savannah. The only complaint I had was the breakfast buffet wasn't the best.
- 3/5
There was a wet dirty towel on the floor of our room in arrival.... just kicked it into bathroom... figure it just fell from a pile housekeeping removed from room... otherwise, all was fine. Took a couple calls to get the AC fixed/ working. Pictures of our corner room were not an accurate depiction (much smaller in person). Bed/ linens were lovely. Shower door seems to be on the wrong side, and no option to hang towels and not have them laundered. Coffee always available. Comfortable lounge areas. Staff varied from helpful and friendly to less than... convenient location. A discount on parking when staying with the hotel would feel more appropriate. The parking staff was great... the app/ company is terrible.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Not like a typical 4 star hotel.
- 4/5
No self parking option. Noise from the Market at night.
- 5/5
Cleanliness and location
- 5/5
The room was very clean with all amenities that were needed. The staff was all very kind and helpful. The breakfast was not included but the restaurant had a nice selection and a great buffet. There were so many great shops and restaurants within walking distance as well as the river walk which was lively during the day Nd absolutely beautiful at night.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable, good parking, great location.
- 5/5
Good service, good shopping good location, good people, clean rooms

Everything was great. Enjoyed the easy to walk over the river. The people are friendly It’s a view with a smile.
- 5/5
Everything was good. Traffic on Bay Street made it a bit noisy outside but it didn’t bother us
- 3/5
A little old compared to other doubletrees and location is noisy.
- 1/5
Road noise is so loud inside the room it sounds like the windows are open! would never stay again!
- 5/5
Thee employee are friendly and helpful
- 3/5
Front desk not friendly or welcoming. Our room was on the Bay St. side of the hotel and all night, every night the traffic noise was terrible, the tractor trailers noise made for sleepless night. When we mentioned at front desk the receptionist said "Yes, we've heard that". Ice machine on 3nd floor had a leak/water on floor the entire stay. The fiberglass balony was cracked and looked unsafe & no seating! Pool area: the hot tub was chipped and did not look fit for useage. When checking out i asked for a print out & the receptionist gave me the receipt and said "here you are ma'am". No thank you for staying with us, no hope you enjoyed your stay...nothing!!!
- 5/5
Doubletree by Hilton in Savannah is a very nice hotel. It is convenient. It’s easy to get in and out of your so close to the river and food. From the staff that parked your car like Joe is awesome and then you have a lease at the desk Alyse he is always kind and always smiling. It always makes you feel like you’re welcome, which is important when you are away from home

- 4/5
This is my second time staying at this property. The staff is friendly. The room was clean. I appreciate the location.
- 5/5
Doubletree by Hilton and Savannah was a very nice hotel convenience to shopping food in the river. Enjoyed our stay nice clean rooms and a great staff will be coming back again.
- 4/5
I love that the property was in the heart of the historic district and prime shopping. I didn’t like the lack of options for parking.
- 4/5
I didn't like all the road noise. Need better sound proofing. Lighting in the shower area was very poor.
- 4/5
The property needs some updating, especially the pool area.
- 5/5
The parking was a bit hectic at times. Plus, we paid our total parking fee on day one, so we weren't able to use the link to call for our car in the morning. However, John explained the process and why it was happening, and hustled for our car. He was so kind and friendly and truly made us feel appreciated. Thanks, John!
- 5/5
Beautiful piece of property very convenient easy access to food
- 5/5
- 5/5
Great location, comfy, walkable to restaurants and tourist attractions.
- 5/5
Enjoying the area
- 5/5
Excellent property, although the pool area needs attention!
- 3/5
Some services wasn't provided no microwave in the rooms
- 2/5
Location was ok. Noise from the road kept me up both nights. I did notify the front desk. They apologized and then never communicated with me again. They also never texted me re the valeted car. The walls of the hotel are paper thin. Tub has chips in it. Elevators are incredibly slow and have expired licenses. Would never stay at a DoubleTree again.
- 5/5
What a wonderful Hotel. We enjoyed our visit. I do think that the parking is expensive, $45/day. Also the morning waitress kept forgetting our order items.
- 4/5
?
- 5/5
We enjoyed the view from the corner room, and the valets were especially friendly and affable.
- 5/5
Parking fees are a bit high.
- 1/5
Our reservation was never sent to the hotel. We were stranded in downtown Savannah at midnight for over three hours until we found another hotel that had rooms. I won’t use hotels.com ever again because of the issue, I will just book directly with the hotels
- 5/5
It was fantastic. Historic downtown is lovely.
- 1/5
The room would not stay cool. I had to reset the ac unit every 45 minutes to keep the room at a decent temperature but not comfortable. I couldn’t sleep the whole trip. A technician was sent but suggested to keep the unit on low fan to keep the room cool but still had to reset the unit.
- 1/5
Savannah was great. The stay at the hotel was not comfortable what so ever. The room would not cool. I had to turn off the ac unit every 45 min to keep the room some what cool. I couldn’t sleep. They sent a technician in when requested but the issue was not resolved just said to keep the ac unit on low fan to keep it working.

- 2/5
Tired hotel with lazy staff.
- 3/5
We saw a roach in the lobby by the elevators. One of the elevators got stuck while we there and they were extremely slow and making a lot of noise. The A/C in our room was EXTREMELY loud and squeaked. Otherwise, the property was fine. I probably will not stay here again though. And the parking was not listed on the hotel site. it was very expensive compared to what I have paid in the past at other hotels.
- 5/5
We always stay at the DoubleTree. Close to everything and very safe. Staff is nice. Love the cookies!
- 5/5
Loved the area.. it was perfect!
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
You can walk to local bars, stores, historic places. Great restaurants
- 4/5
Carpet flooring was acceptable, but not great. Good size room. Gym was poor, hottub looked dirty. Perks promised at check in where forgotten. Great location.
- 5/5
I liked the fact that it was so convenient to everything. The hotel was nice, the staff were nice, and the valets were nice. As many others have stated, the noise can be a bit loud from the traffic on W Bay St, but it wasn’t unbearable. I’d definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Checkin was easy. Room was clean. I got an extra bottle of water and a free cookie. The food at the bar was good but because I was hungry. The TV greeting screen was even customized with my name.
- 4/5
The location is conveniently located for the river walk and great dining options. I did not like the rate of $45 per day to park. Way too expensive.
- 3/5
The location was Great for the price yh we room was not in the best condition elevators smelled l Iike a dog kennel.
- 2/5
The property was great for the most part but there was an ant problem in my room. Found them in the bathroom the night stand and even on the bed. The jacuzzi needs to be updated or had mold around it and paint was peeling off leaving grainy spots. The restaurant was good and bar was convenient and staff was very very friendly and attentive. Near river street
- 5/5
Great property!
- 5/5
Parking was crowded at hotel but were drear at getting us situated

Arrival: Valet parking is wonderful. My car is garage kept and I insist upon that while traveling. Parking is underground and very protected. Valet staff are helpful and accommodating, even for extra requests. Enter the hotel and be greeted with the fresh clean fragrance of lemongrass. Lobby area is beautiful. Desk staff could not be more helpful. They are all lovely. The bellman waited patiently for the desk staff to help me (81 yr. old lady, who needs extra explanations). My assistant noticed that a necessary item had been left in my car. The bellman went to the valet and retrieved it. Very helpful getting to our rooms. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally well-appointed, including a lockbox. It is large enough for my computer, and was very convenient. The bath accessories including toiletries are wonderful. Toiletries are Crabtree and Evelyn, no kidding. Shower includes shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Hand and body lotion at the sink. Amazing fresh fragrance and very effective. Bedding is superb. My assistant is buying 2 of the pillows. Large screen TV with any channel you could possibly want, local and streaming. Comfortable work area for me and my computer. Likewise seating. Coffee and tea service along with a fridge is great. Housekeeping friendly and efficient. Phone front desk with extra requests and the response is pleasant and almost immediate. Several lounge areas off lobby, comfortable while waiting for UBER or whatever.
- 5/5
The staff was beyond excellent. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time
- 5/5
I loved the staff at the front desk! Cassidy was a welcoming face and made my day by being so kind. The valet staff member, Charles was incredibly kind to us and very accommodating!
- 5/5
This hotel was excellent for walking distance to City Market, River Street, Broughton Street and all the downtown attractions, restaurants, and shopping in downtown Savannah. It was clean, newly renovated, and smelled amazing. We could have used the valet parking, but chose a nearby parking garage for the price and convenience.
- 4/5
The Hotel needs to clarify the routine!!
- 4/5
Extremely loud - day and night — it’s road noise mostly. Also this hotel is older, it has two elevators and they are very slow. The hotel room was nice but a bit outdated x for the cost and noise I would never stay here again even though the noise is clearly not their fault.
- 3/5
Came to Savannah to look for an apartment for my daughter. Hotel is very clean and staff was amazing. Unfortunately the windows aren’t sound proofed. The hotel is on a very busy noisy street. No sleep the first night so they moved us. Less noise but still not quiet.
- 5/5
Everything was accessible and easy to get to. Staff was friendly and the room was clean.
- 5/5
Pleasant professional staff. Room clean. Breakfast adequate and average. Valet staff helpful and pleasant
- 5/5
Great property, great location, comfortable and clran.
- 5/5
The beds were very comfortable. The bath towels were thick like they were new. The staff was very nice. We will definitely be staying there again!
- 4/5
Wonderful location and don’t pay for valet if you don’t want. You can park for $30 all day in lot next to hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Food in restaurants was good , but pricey. Drinks were very pricey. We would absolutely stay here again. Can always eat somewhere else.
- 4/5
Our room fronted Bay Street, too noisy, especially early am traffic and night loud trucks&motorcycles. Ask for quiet room on the other side. All else first class. Great location. Great staff.
- 3/5
Very nice valet attendant, front desk was pleasant. Stated they would call me when room was ready, I arrived early. I never received a call room was ready and waited until the 4 pm checkin and room was already clean. Spa and swimming area needs to repair. Front city view is very noisy. If you like firm beds then bed is okay.
- 3/5
I was in line to check-in, in front of me there was a lady who was receiving great customer service. When it was my turn to check-in, the male associate did not raise his head to look at me or greet me. He just asked me for my last name. (That was very Rude) I paid $45per night for valet parking. Sat.night after returning back to the hotel, my husband and I waited 10 minutes for someone to show up to park our car. Eventually, I had to go Inside the hotel&tell the lady at the front desk that we were waiting for valet. She got up from the desk and went somewhere then a man showed up to park our car. The front desk associate did not offer an explanation on why we had to wait for valet parking&she did not apologize for the inconvenience. My husband&I went to our room. When we got to our room, both of our door cards would not open the door! We had to go back downstairs to find out why our cards were not working. We gave the cards to the lady at the front desk. She did something on the computer&gave the cards back to my husband&stated that the cards will work now. Again, she did not offer an explanation as to why our cards were not working, until my husband asked her what was the problem. She said that they were not working because we probably had them near a cellphone. I knew that was a Lie because my card was never near my cellphone. Again, We did not receive an apology for the inconvenience. I feel like the front desk treats people of a Certain Color better than others.

- 5/5
Expensive, but worth the stay! We tried a few different well known hotels around the block, but this was our favorite and we’ll definitely stay there again in any of our future visits to Savannah. The hotel staff were just exceptional, so helpful, and a great, positive vibe all around. The breakfast buffet was also great!
- 3/5
Comfortable and good valet service. Traffic from street and A/C made the room noisy.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
It was nice but very noisy from the street and also the AC. The valet wasn't very responsive.
- 5/5
Lovely room, large windows allowed us to get perfect viewing of fireworks! Great location for walking to fun places to see and eat.
- 2/5
The actual stay was great. But overall I will not be staying at this location again. I booked a room and chose the pay at hotel option. A few hours before check in, the hotel manager called me three times demanding that I needed to pay for the room over the phone within 30 minutes or she would cancel the reservation. I explained that I chose the pay at hotel option.
- 5/5
but at night , it was noisy.. motorcycle running up and down the streets.. hard to sleep..
- 5/5
Can’t wait to stay again!
- 3/5
They also didn’t tell us it cost $55 a night to park the car. For $192 a night it should’ve parked without fee
- 5/5
The staff is awesome. Everyone was helpful and helped with recommendation for restaurants and places to see.
- 5/5
Great experience. Very helpful staff at the counter and the valet. We would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Close to City Market (walkable, easily)
- 2/5
Loved the location. Cleaing service thumbs down, nonexistent! Very disappointed. Hotel sent company to repair air conditioner with no warning. We walked into our room door wide open 3 people in it. Tarp over the sitting chair. Worker left greasy hand prints all over air conditioner. Check in - asked for early checkin. Nothing was available. Took my number and never called. Finally able to check in 4 hours after arrival! Asked cleaning staff to clean never did. I had to ask for towels, toilet paper and Kleenex. Soda machine ate our money. Front desk said to walk across street and hilton gardens would give us a free soda. Why should we have to walk and get it! No happy about this stay. Probably will not stay at any Hilton hotels ever again. Service sucked! Although bartender at hotel bar was friendly and valet was friendly.
- 3/5
While this Double Tree was better than others we have stayed in the last few years but the rooms are not insulated properly and one can hear passing heavy traffic of trucks and cars plying on the road all night. We had trouble sleeping all night and then were forced to wake up and leave the room early in the morning because of all the traffic noise during the morning rush hour. And then the ac unit in the room was particularly noisy every time it turned on to cool the room. I think the ac units in the rooms are long overdue for routine maintenance. And finally, maybe my I should have looked before I booked, only valet parking is offered at a steep price of $45 per night. I realized later that I could have parked at the public parking facility for a fraction of the cost! On the bright side, the staff were friendly, the hotel lobby and room was clean, and bathrooms upgraded.
- 5/5
Close to area with all the restaurants and bar. Felt safe in area.
- 3/5
If you have a room on the roadside of the building it will be very loud traffic all night long.
- 4/5
Fantastic location, minutes from riverside and easily walkable everywhere. Bedroom very roomy and bright. Had a room tot he back so was very quiet. Staff are excellent - super friendly.
- 4/5
I had a great stay and the location couldn't be better — it's super close to River Street, City Market, W. Broughton street with tons of restaurants , shopping and things to do. Plus, there's a trolley tour stop right next to the hotel. Staff here is fantastic. I had a problem with my first room (203 — avoid it if you can, it's really loud because of several HVAC units right outside the window ). The front desk contacted me the day after I checked in and I was able to let them know about the problem. They moved me to a new room right away without any hassle. Hotel is a bit dated but its kept clean and tidy. If you want to stay somewhere close to everything with awesome service, I definitely recommend.
- 4/5
We had to move rooms because of how loud the street noise was.
- 3/5
Convenient location, however I was given a street facing room. Extremely loud. Breakfast buffet, coffee stations empty canister both days. Selection modest but not worth $17 pp.
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff.
- 3/5
Older hotel. Tub/shower handle in need of repair. We were there for two nights and requested that the room NOT be cleaned. Came back from dinner to find the room had been cleaned . Remember to add cost of valley parking to the nightly room rate!
- 4/5
Great stay and centrally located to many of the landmarks in historic Savannah. Our room was on the second floor, fronting a busy intersection, so it was very loud at night. We were awakened by gunshots on our last evening at the hotel. At least 20 police cars raced to the scene right next to the hotel. People were running away from the scene, and police came out with guns/rifles drawn. It took hours for the scene to be cleared--very scary. Thankfully, no one got hurt. The next day, it was business as usual. I've always wanted to stay at a hotel in the thick of the action, but that was a little too much action.
- 4/5
Great one night stay. Close to downtown river walk and affordable pricing
