Easy to get to, nice clean rooms. 15 minutes to check in

The fire alarms went off twice in one day for no reason. Woke me up 2 times before I had to make a 12 hour drive. The elevator was out and my 80 yo mother, with walker, had to use the stairs both times to exit and enter.

The staff I can’t say enough about the staff they are simply the best. The room was clean it was my husband birthday and I was able to decorate the room it has everything I needed to cook a candlelight dinner. I will be back also congratulations to Mrs Ayesha front desk on her marriage I wish you nothing more than happiness we love the whole staff, love the Thompson’s room 125

We always get the king one bedroom sweet and it's fabulous. Very spacious all the essentials including refrigerator, two-burner elements for stove, garbage disposal, they take your trash right from outside your door. The southern hospitality is fabulous. Everyone at that hotel is wonderful! We've been there now twice and one other time in the area.

Mold was growing in the bathroom. Also, the room I reserved was advertised as sleeping 6 but there was only one bed and one sofa bed.

The overall experience was great, just was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the floor in the kitchenette area. The floor was in real need of sweeping. Everything else was great.

The carpet was clean and vacuumed, but it was stained in a few places and could use replacing. Someone with muscles of steel shut off the shower because it had a tendency to drip. I finally managed to wrestle it free, but perhaps management might want to let maintenance look at it. The office style chair was comfortable enough, but its wheels had seen better days. Perhaps they could be lubricated? It was not the hotel's fault that it rained, but the drops hit something that may have been metallic near my room at 2 a.m. and I awoke to what sounded like someone playing drums. The staff members I met were cheerful and amiable people, and they were very helpful in directions, etc. The bed was quite comfortable. A laminated card with TV channel listings would be helpful if looking for a specific one. No ice maker in the hotel, but there was a full sized refrigerator in the room, and I used its ice maker to get ice cubes.

I appreciated the in room kitchen, location. It was clean, but did see a dead bug. Bedding was really nice. Kitchen utensils and ice maker. Laundry room only had 2 working washers out of 4. And one smelled really bad. We had evacuated during Milton so we really wanted to use the amenities. Although it was free!

We were given a 3rd floor room but the one elevator was broken. After a while we were given a 1st floor room. No breakfast. Dirty ac. Both external door locks didn’t work, either stuck open or the card didn’t work. Staff WAS nice though on the one bright side. I’d never stay at a Candlewood suites again

Front Desk attendant was rude and laughed when I attempted to check in despite having a confirmation. Was denied a room and told hotel was sold out, when I explained I had a confirmation she said it was no good. Asked for alternative options and was told it wasn’t her problem, to contact Expedia.

There were issues when I checked in. The clerk watched as I stood at the desk and just stared at me. I had to introduce myself and state I was checking in. The lady still stared at me as if I spoke a different language. Then I was told that the rooms werent ready although we were at during "check in" times. When we finally got to the rooms the shower curtains were missing, bed sheets were dirty and there were roaches in one of the rooms we rented. For the price point the rooms were very dated and not well cleaned. Will not be staying again.

The hotel is nice and clean. Our only complaint is the exorbitant fee for pets. $75 per pet for one night is too much.

Used room as stop for driving trip to keys. Great area for that. Checkin was ok. Not a lot of personality. Got a terrible room right next to elevator. I’m sure it wasn’t the last room available! But room was nice.

There were so many cockroaches. Bad smell, room was not clean. It look like it was empty for long time with roaches running every where. The frontdesk person a man was not helpful that all.

Our original room reeked of dog urine so bad it burned my eyes. The front desk staff was very helpful in getting us moved to a better room. The hotel canteen didn't have any bottled water. It was a disappointing stay.

Front desk check-in clerk was smoking in front of the building when we arrived. When the clerk walked in to check us in, she was in the phone (personal phone call) the entire time. Booked a suite and the cable channels were not working. Chipped wood by the sink. People were hanging around in the front of the buildings giving bad reviews as we were walking up to the building. It was my 13 year anniversary. My experience at the hotel room made my entire anniversary weekend a horrific experience 😞

Toilet would not flush so we had to go to the office area to use their toilet even after reporting it not working. AC heat did not work. Dirty towels were in the bathroom cabinet. Not a great experience ESPECIALLY for the price!!!

There is no afternoon maid service. No remote for tv. Body wash in tub was empty. Only one bedside table at the king size bed. No hand soap in the bathroom. Outside traffic was very loud in the room.

The suite was nice and the hotel was located in a good spot. There was a little noise from the airport and the highway, but nothing crazy. The bed was very comfy. The only down side was the room we had, had a broken kitchen drawer when we arrived and the cleaning done before we arrived was less than satisfactory (nothing a little Lysol didn’t fix).

I was not impressed... The bathroom was clogged, I asked for room service and they never came. Asked for a few things and was always told that they could not bring it and I had to go and get it or they would never come

The area it was in was nice,but there was pills on the floor around the room and the bed head hair all in it and the room floor was disgusting.I told the manager and he said he would give half of my money back but he didn't,i had my two year old son with me thank god he did try and eat one of those pills laying around

The service was very poor. They have rooms available that are not clean. They want clean a room for you even if you already paid. They over charged me for one night. The weed someone was smoking had an bad smell.

Rooms felt dirty. While they looked okay, lingering smells of animals, greasy cooking etc¿ remained. The hotel needs a remodel. I paid 100.00 for the room and expected a little more. Fire alarm went off at 4:30 and 6:30am. False alarms with no real comm

We found a hamburger that was left in the microwave as proof that it was not cleaned. The toilet was dirty - there was still left over hair from the previous guests. They didnt have my room or any room available for me until it came to a point where i was aggravated especially spending 400$ for a 2 night stay. The pool was green and closed when other hotels had pools open. Also my ice machine didnt work in my fridge. I always stayed here but really disappointed this time.

There was also a notice that their shuttle was also out of service for an indefinite time period as well. As I walked to my room I noticed that two doorway frames for guest hotel rooms were broken which is a fire code violation. The door closer to my room was not properly working as well and would get stuck halfway through closing causing me to pull the door shut. This Candlewood Suites use to be located across the street in another building and was formerly another hotel chain. I plan to stay at the hotel that replaced their original building location next time.

We picked this property becasue we needed to have a cat with us, daughter moving. Likley the dirtiest hotel I've ever seen. Black mold in the bath. Paper towesl stuffed in the door to keep it closed.

Our first room definitely had smokers in it before us. We requested a new room. I have an iPhone and could not link to the IHG internet. Staff could not help and gave me an 966 number to call. Not worth the hassle for one night.

I went to the lobby to check in. I noticed immediately how run down dirty not sanitized it was. Thete was no way o was going to stay the night. I was thete way before check in. I went up to the desk, and told them i was canceling my reservation fdue to the condition of the hotel. My response was our computers are down. They refused to cancel.i was forced to find another place and pay again

Hotel and room were disgustingly dirty. TV not functional. Staff was very friendly but entirely too concerned with and focused on their own personal phone calls. Non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke.

I didn’t bother to request one from the front desk d/t my short stay and at the time of need, I was pressed for time so I went without—something like this you would already expect to be in place. The property is old and well worn. The window base was full of dirt which made the room feel unclean. This hotel is used for long term guests. If you want a less expensive place to stay and in older condition then it would be fine.

The sheets had black hair on them and dirt along with what looked like pizza sauce stains on the duvet cover. They put my shampoo and conditioner in 2 plastic cups sitting on the edge of the shower instead of in little bottles. Besides this though the staff was very nice.

Nothing great about property.The room had a bad smell,felt price was too high based on condition of property

We stayed march 16-20 when we first arrived we noticed a weird smell in our room but we were tired and didn't put much mind. The next morning I look for a glass and noticed all the dishes were in the dishwasher which smelled like rotting meat or something had died in there. I turned the washer on and the whole room filled with the smell. There was also someones leftover makeup in the bathroom draw. I spoke to the young lady at the front desk who was awesome and moved us to a clean room. I was also told i would be comped a night and am waiting for that to go through

Made a reservation on Expedia then hotel said they had no rooms available. Ended up having to pay an extremely higher rate at another hotel.

Staff very nice and room set up well. Only issue was that we got a handicapped room and it did not have a shower curtain. We found that strange, but we were only there for 1 night.

The smell of the room was horrible. Very musty and damp smell. Kitchenette was semi clean. Hallways smelled just as rank. Wish I knew the Double tree had the same rate because we wiuld have just went there.

It was very plain and smelled like a certain plant the entire 2 days we stayed here.

Property was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff Sherry, was absolutely amazing. Our TV didn't work so she moved us across the hall within minutes. Staff was so friendly and accommodating.

The room was remarkably unclean and disorderly with bed not made properly, a pile of human here with a plastic clip or on the kitchen counter, The dishwasher Unemptied, Black marking on sheets, no microwave inside plate, heavy dust on furniture legs,

The guest upstairs was walking, it was very noisy, people were in the hallway making noise all night didn’t get any sleep and had to travel the next morning. Worst night ever. Will not be staying there again.

Needed a pet friendly hotel for an overnight stop in Savannah and chose Candlewood Suites based on the 8+ rating. More like a 7 based on our experience. This property is getting old and really needs a refresh. Will not be booking again for our return trip.

Not sure how this hotel got such great reviews in the past, but our room smelled musty and moldy, the bathtub was cracked and broken in several spots, I found bugs in the room (multiple), we had to ask for additional dishes because the room did not have two of everything like it was supposed to and when the staff brought them, they were filthy like they just came out of storage, so I had to clean the inch of dirt and dead bugs off them before they could be used! Not a place I would ever recommend or stay again.

Entryway to hotel is a half sliding door. Difficult to pull luggage through entryway. Hotel smells of cigars and empty alcohol containers littered the front of hotel trash receptacle. Hotel is unkempt, carpet is dirty throughout hotel, people creepily peering out their doors, doors to rooms scratched, loud vulgar conversations coming from rooms as we walked to our room with our 3 yr old. Room was not clean, one leg of coffee table was damaged causing table to lean. TV's are 40 in at best. My family and I left ultimately concerned about our safety and well being. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

A sad dirty property, in desperate need of some updates and cleaning.

The A/C UNIT in the room constantly cut on and off. Loud humming noise then off then 5 secs back on humming nonstop whether you put it on auto or on... if you cut it off youll be VERY HOT... couldnt sleep that whole night, only got 2 hours of sleep. The overnight clerk offered me to switch rooms at like 0130am ... will not stay there again. Plus its pet friendly and i missed that when i booked

It's so hard to find nice, clean accomodations when traveling with two dogs. We were so happy we found Candlewood Suites. We stayed here twice in a 8 day period while driving from VA to FL and back. The room was spacious, clean, the bed was comfy and our pups (two big labs) were very happy they could join us on the trip!

The hotel is very conveniently located walking distance to restaurants and gas stations. Less than a 5 min drive to the airport which makes this perfect to catch an early morning flight. "Pantry" offered very lottle for food selection at double the price. Room was clean but had an odor that either came from past guests, cooking or hotel not being so clean. Parking lot had vomit smell every time you pulled in but safe location to leave your vehicle at night. There are other hotels right next door with the same conveniences so next time i fly from Savannah i will be staying somewhere else.

Nice suite set up and bed and bedding. Hallways and elevator carpets dirty.

I like the fact that I could check in after midnight.

The tub needs to be replaced and there was a stand in the bedroom with no tv.
