Best Western Plus Savannah Gateway

1. There were only 2 towels for 4 guests. The hotel knew we had 4 guest but didn't seem to care enough to provide towels. 2. The TV did not have any networks or local channels so I was unable to watch the Stanley Cup Finals on ABC after a long day of travel. This may not seem like much with most people having streaming options, however, most local channels aren't available for streaming away from home. It is beyond rediculous to not have local networks available on the TV. 3. When I needed ice, I followed all the signs to the ice maching... that didn't exist. 4. The AC was not strong enough to cool whole suite. 5. There were no towels, water, or cleaning supplies in fitness room. This is very unsanitary. 6. There were only bowls at breakfast (no plates). The kids had to eat a waffle out of a bowl. Staff was nice but other than that, this was a horrible room for the price. This is the first time ever I've stayed at a hotel and felt the need to leave a negative review.

Used suite, one king bed. the floor in the room is wood floor which I feel clean and easy to move things around comparing carpet floor. check in was smooth, the receptionist was polite. When sleeping I was hearing water dripping and realized the noise was from inside of the small refrigerator. It was a little bit annoying. The breakfast started at 6:30 am. It was already prepared when came down. Oatmeal was instant. good coffee machine. The hotel is surrounded by other hotels and located all the way back.

Ellos muy amable nos cambiaron, luego la otra habitación el aire hacía un ruido fuerte como que pronto se dañara y un boquete debajo del lavamanos. Nuevamente muy amable el gerente fue con nosotros para que escogiéramos la habitación que le quedaban disponibles. Gracias a dios con esa no había problema hasta que mi nena me dice mami debajo del lavamanos tenían trampa de ratones. En fin el servicio fue bueno.

The property was clean, breakfast was hot and fresh, replenished when options were low. The location is very convenient to the airport in addition to local restaurants and shopping. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay and will return if ever in Savannah!

When arriving, both trash cans by the door had trash falling to the ground because they were so full. The mirrors in the room were dirty, and both soap dispensers were empty - by the sink and in the shower. We would not stay there again.

Room was very spacious and VERY clean

Our floors were filthy, our white socks tuned black from simply walking around to the room ourbfirst night. It took two emails, a text and finally a call to the front desk to get our floors cleaned after two of our five nt stay. Also, the pool was permanently closed and there was no notification of that before our stay.

We got our key, went to the room and it wasn’t cleaned yet. Went back down to the desk, Alexander apologized, got us a new room and then walked us up to our room, it wasn’t cleaned either. Went went back down, Alexander got us another room and walked us back up to our new room and it was clean and nice. Alexander handles the situation like a complete pro, he should be at a luxury resort with his people skills. Just a fantastic person.

We liked the area and we liked the friendly staff The room was horrible. The floor is uneven, and the toilet isn't even fastened to the floor. The only option is to shower, as there is no bath plug, and the bath is so slippery that two of my kids fell multiple times while showering. There was no bedding for the sleeper couch so all three kids had to sleep on one bed.

Nice clean place, not much around as far as entertainment or restaurants.

Room was large and spacious. The bathroom a little small but the living room was huge and had a sofa bed. Complimentary breakfast had hot and cold options typical of hotel chain breakfast; my grandkids enjoyed the strawberry waffles option versus the regular waffle option. There are several dining areas around the hotels. There was nothing I didn't like. The location suited my purpose, the price was economical and the visit was brief and beautiful.

I liked everything about this place the rooms were huge beds comfortable water pressure in the shower great and they give you a real breakfast not just muffins and donuts in the morning (hash browns sausage eggs waffles and bacon). Staff was excellent and you cannot beat this place for the price will definitely stay again Really nothing

Bed was comfortable No one at desk and would not answer phone. Called downstairs to ask for sheets for pull out and could not get an answer. Walked downstairs and waited over 30 min. Not enough towels in room for guests.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. Staff was absolutely wonderful. The breakfast spread was the same every day but there was plenty to choose from and it was fresh & delicious. 2 compliants, there were no plates for breakfast for our whole stay which was super annoying, especially trying to eat Belgium waffles. So we were eating off spread out napkins & bowls 🙄 and the pool was closed which was a bummer

Everything was over and beyond the room was spacious 2-queens and sofa couch 2-Tv just spread out n roomy so clean n comfortable and good breakfast area and choices just an overall great stay n affordable as well no ruff raff no complaints at all No ice machine on 3-rd floor but no biggy

Atmosphere & staff were lovely! The hotel was very nice. my room was to be king suite, handicap acessible. The room was great but the bathroom was terrible. I have mobility problems &stated so when I booked the room. The bathroom was small &had no bars or accessibility to the shower. By the time I got to the room I was very tired & just went to bed but when I used the facilities, I had a very difficult time.

Great location and easy to get to just off the interstate The pool was not open, however, it did not say that they had a pool. It was there. It was just empty. There were no plates at the breakfast buffet so we had to use bowls, it was OK, but definitely not expected. Also, they did not have the free chocolate chip cookies which wasn’t a big deal but needed to be noted.

Amazing overnight stay at the Best Western Plus! Friendly staff accommodated needs when requested. Comfortable and very spacious room made a day of travel relaxing! My only consideration is to add a door between the bathroom and the common space on the one bedroom suite as advertised on the website. Thank you for an amzing stay!

Great staff, Lacked few basic things like plates during breakfast lol. Our room had some damaged stuff like a closet door, ac unit so had to make sure I was not blamed for that. Extremely expensive candy but nonetheless would stay again

The room that we were in had a super loud AC. It was so loud we had to turn it off because of the squealing noise. The room was also near the freeway so there was loud road noise. Other than those two issues the room was fine.

Front desk unattended and the front entrance was locked at the time of arrival. After repeatedly calling the hotel and knocking on the door for over 15 minutes, I ended up prying the doors open so that myself and children could us the restroom. Finally after standing at the desk

I made a reservation for 6. According to their website, their double queen suites slept 6 with the sofa bed. The front desk attendant checked me in and watched our family walk in and up to the room. We put bags down and immediately left for an event. We arrived back at almost midnight, exhausted and ready for bed. While the kids were getting settled and showered we pulled out the sofa bed to put sheets on it to find it was a twin size. When I went to the front desk to see what the issue was I was told they do not have a room to accommodate 6, they can only accommodate 5 at most. I even showed them a copy of my reservation and their website saying they sleep 6. I was told (after midnight, with 4 kids) that I could pay for a second room or leave. They only offered me a $20 discount. They were very rude. The floors were filthy. There was trash in the sleeper sofa. There was dirty tissues laying on the floor. We will not stay here again. It was a horrible experience and the staff was awful. Telling a customer the only option she has is to purchase another room or leave after midnight with young kids is unacceptable when it’s no fault of her own. I tried to make sure I had arrangements made to accommodate everyone and I was treated as if it was my fault for making the reservation. Their website is misleading and their staff is rude and unaccommodating. Their management was not helpful and also very rude. This was their mistake and they refused to do anything to fix it. Never again

Overall an enjoyable stay. Pros: quick check in, great breakfast, easy location, overall great condition, nice room layout. Cons: staff are not overly friendly, building isn’t cooled, front room of suites is hot with only a ceiling fan, water pressure is weak, can easily hear what’s going on in rooms from the hallway, room supplies like body wash were not restocked.

The room was very spacious and clean. Easy access from interstate, close to several restaurants. Bedroom was pleasant with very comfortable beds. Temperature control was perfect. The water in shower wasnt very hot. The body wash, shampoo were empty. In the morning, the room doors from other travelers were slamming continuously, maybe better seals are needed.

I was disappointed with my stay. I booked a king suite & once checked in, I noticed there wasn’t a door like the picture showed. I called the front desk & was told doors were removed some time ago due to issues with circulation but the pictures have not been updated. This is very misleading as this is not a true suite. It is just a standard room. This needs to be handled expeditiously. People traveling with children tend to want privacy. I called hotels.com immediately and the representative proceeded to tell me unless the room was dirty there wasn’t much he could do. He shifted blame to the hotel as well. He ended up putting me on about a 10 minute hold then hung up from his end. I called back a second time & got a much nicer and more apologetic representative. He offered me $50 in key cash as a solution which I accepted because I did not want to keep going back & forth or ruin the vacation dealing with that issue. Seems as if they spent a lot of money on the lobby making it look beautiful with a fireplace and all and the least money on the actual rooms to make guest feel comfortable. The rooms are subpar. I am an avid traveler and would not stay here again nor would I recommend to family or friends. It is not awful but it’s definitely not what I am used to. If you are looking for cheap, be mindful that sometimes you get what you pay for. I would spend a few extra dollars to get something that is more comfortable and a little nicer. Also air conditioning unit ran very loud.

Booked a king suite with sofa bed for 4 people. The sofa bed pulled out into a twin bed so was not able to comfortably house all of us. Even though everything looked new, the rooms were dark - not enough lights, and the drawers on the cabinets didn’t stay shut. Also just one remote for both tvs. Appreciated vinyl floors, charging docks by the bed, breakfast with waffles, and the lady at check in was really nice and helpful.

We only stayed one night so we didn’t need anything fancy, these rooms were honestly bigger than I expected, clean, and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good too.

Negatives: Heard horns honking and noise while trying to sleep. Only had one person working and she had a lot of guests who needed her. Not her fault, she was great! Never complained! But the hotel should have more than one person on. One guest had zero towels in their room. We only had 2 for the four of us. The bedding wasn’t in the room for the pull out sofa. She had to go grab all of that. Many guests waiting in line for a while to check in at 11pm. The positives far outweighed the negatives! And for the price, you couldn’t beat it!

Nothing went well. The worst! The ac was not working upon arrival. When moved to another room AC was still not great but when the AC unit turned on it was so loud that it sounded like an airplane was landing in our room. The sheets on the bed were ripped down the middle and there were no additional blankets or sheets for the sofa bed. When we requested again that we be moved, we were told it was an issue with the building. We could not have separate rooms since a manger could not be contacted at that late hour and the staff member was not authorized to give us another room. We were told to leave without a refund or just put up with it. We felt as bad for the staff member as we did for ourselves. They were overwhelmed and in tears. As horrible as it was to stay there it had to be even worse to work there.

For the price that I paid, the problems I dealt with were unacceptable.

Very nice suite for our needs. Good location on and off i 95. Went to check in, nobody at desk for over 20 minutes. Left and went to Applebee's. The suite was very nice sized, BUT the ac motor or fan was incredibly loud and didnt get cool. Called desk, no answer, went down, again nobody there. Finally got ahold of someone, he said thats normal, nothing he could do. We did not sleep well at all. Breakfast area is very nice, but the offerings were AWFUL. Powdered eggs, some kind of sausage link that was HORRIBLE. Potatos were barely warm. Pool area closed, should be set up for sitting and getting fresh air.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was huge with a separate sitting area with a TV, desk and couch. The bedroom was very large with a king size bed, a place to set luggage, and a TV. There was also a small separate alcove area with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The bed was comfy, and pillows were great. Breakfast in the morning was good with having eggs, bacon, and a variety of cold items. TV could have been a little better with the channel selections. We couldn't find any local channels, but they did have many sport and news channels. Not sure what they use, but the picture was very sharp and clear, and the TV was big enough. We just don't care for sports or news. But this is a very minor, and personal opinion.

Room was very clean. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel. Bathroom was clean. Love not having carpet anywhere in the room. Breakfast was average. Same as any other place has. Check-in was easy with pre check in. Checkout was easy also. Looks like a newer place or total renovation job had been done. There wasn’t a stopper in the sink though. I’m not a fan of the handicap shower wand. You don’t get the same pressure out of those heads. No matter how you turn the head

The room was clean and modern. It was a good night stay for a quick stay over. The staff were cautious and friendly. We had to asked to change to a new room due to the room temperature was being low and we couldn’t change the temperature in the room due to the unit was not working.

Hotel was built in June 2025, so accommodations were like new and excellent. Breakfast buffet was also good and delicious with a wide variety of food offerings. Front desk staff and employee working in dining room was also nice and friendly.

I liked that is was close to restaurants, convenient stores and shopping malls. I did not like room. The room wasn't cleaned properly because there were hand prints on the mirror, dust bunnies by the dresser and the blinds did not go up or down but there was a little space at the bottom for you to look out of. The AC went from heat to cold air on its own. We had no extra toilet paper nor extra towels. The hot water in the shower took about 10 minutes to get hot and there was not a blanket or sheets for the pull out sofa, so you had to go request it from the front desk. The breakfast needs some help. The eggs were mushy, the bacon was swimming in grease, the sausage was under cooked and the potatoes were dry and hard. This hotel just opened 5 or 6 months ago, so you would think it would be better than this.

Just a bit odd. My main complaint is i booked this room to accommodate 6 people, noting that the room says it sleeps 6, two queen beds and a pull out couch. Only to find the pull out couch is only a single bed. When i asked about it, the attendant only said it's meant for small children, and they didn't have anything else that could accommodate us. So my fully grown teenage kids had to be creative with sleeping arrangements. Thankfully we were only stopping for one night.

Very nice stay. Breakfast was decent but very limited. Potatoes were not edible. Staff was wonderful. Room very clean and comfortable. Room was too quiet though and there was no way to keep the fan on the AC running. It got a tad warm.

Fast check in, beautiful and clean lobby. The room was clean, large, lots of places to charge devices. Overall great stay.

At the hotel every one and every thing was very good. BUT finding the place was confusing they are 2 hotels under the same name , same exit. When i called Best Western Plus ,the other one answered….Please take care of the issue. I am using this company for many years,never had any problems.

They told me they will keep the money for 4-5 business days and will refund it to me, first it is a nonsense, if I paid already yo hotels.com…… Second why they have to keep my money for 5 days???????

Great value for a clean, modern room with bonus sitting room / office space and decent Breakfast

The staff were nice and very welcoming. The rooms were super clean and very modern. Huge fan of the TVs being a smart TVs. Only issue I had with our room, one of the night stands did not have any outlets to plug in my charger for my phone. There is the cut out for it but it did not have it. Not something that ruined my stay, just something that I think is worth noting. The hotel is located right off the interstate which is nice and the parking lot is well-lit and I felt safe there. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come again.

Clean and updated room.

Breakfast had hot food options with bacon, diced hash brown potatoes, and scrambled eggs. But the hash brown did not look very appealing. They had normal selections. Not bad.

Check in was easy….hotel clean and friendly staff. Would stay again!

This is a brand new, beautiful hotel. It's right off the freeway, but yet quiet. Very convenient location with Applebee's and Ruby Tuesday within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Everything is new and clean. I would have liked a greater selection of fresh fruit, but otherwise, good.

We checked in late, but staff was very friendly and attentive. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was tidy and free of odor. Had to ask for linens for the pull out sofa. Staff provided the linen right away, and was freshly cleaned.

We stayed in a nonsmoking room, but the bedding had a cigarette odor. Our family of five had to search for an additional bed linnen at 2 AM.

hot water went out the second evening of our stay, and there was no sense of urgency to get the repairs made. by checkout the next morning there was still no hot water, on top of that there was no communication from the staff to the guests about the situation.

We had a great stay for the most part. Check in was easy and staff was very nice. Room was huge and looked remodeled. Only complaint was how dirty the floor was inside the room. My daughter took a shower and walked bare foot to the bed. Her feet was Black. I used a wet towel to ‘mop’ the floor. Besides this it was a great stay and would stay here again.

Brand new, incredible bed, spacious rooms and excellent staff. Oh, and the b’fast was great too!

No way to turn off the very loud HVAC. Freeway sounds were very loud. We didn’t sleep much in spite of it being a nice bed and a large room. It was also very clean and a nice breakfast.

Had a nice stay and room was very clean and good.

Shower wall was filthy. Previous guest hair was still on bathroom floor. It was also the time of year when it starts to get cold at night and the vent would only push out cold air. I asked to have the room cleaned and vent fixed while we were out. They agreed but didn’t do it. Instead , we had to move our exhausted selves into another room late in the middle of the night. We got there and a table in the room was broken. A friend of mine had been moved into that room the night before when the temperature control Im he first room was broken. Turns out they knew it was broken and checked her in there anyway. But then the smoke detector was going off because the batteries were low. They sent an attendant who is not a maintenance worker in to change the batteries. She stood in a chair while calling someone to find out how to change the batteries and almost fell. My friend had to spot her. When we asked about the pool, staff told us the pool had never reopened after renovations in June. Breakfast was good and the staff was kind and professional. But they are seriously understaffed. Of course they refused to offer me even a partial refund. I seriously doubt whether the positive reviews I read are even real. WORST HOTEL STSY EVER. I don’t recommend waste your money here! They clearly don’t feel like they owe you anything in return.

hotel is newly opened. Vey nice, love the charging outlets in room and even on benches in lobby. Nicely decorated, very well kept. Possibly a little too efficient our room was cleaned at 9 am while we were having breakfast so we waited till they were done. Around 10 am someone walked in the room, not sure for what we were in the bedroom of a suite room. We just said hello? and the person left. Maybe check if the room has been vacated, there was no do not disturb sign to put out and we hadn't locked the door seeing it was already cleaned, we did after the walk in. Breakfast was very basic options but fine.

Unable to control heat and air fan was so loud could not sleep with it on. plumbing repairs completed prior to our arrival were not cleaned up well plumbing glue all over the cabinet and floor with huge whole in the wall

The room was advertised as a suite with a separate bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed, that would sleep four. Pictures on the website clearly show a door between the rooms. The door had been removed from between the bedroom and the sitting room, and the sofa bed was not big enough to accommodate two (unless they were small children, which fortunately for us was the case). I have pictures of all of this, as well as other shortcomings. Feel free to contact me and I will elaborate.

The air conditioner was very loud.

Staff was not very helpful when we informed them we found a roach like bug in our room. They basically just apologized and that was it. I had to ask for garbage bags for our belongings to hopefully not bring any critters along with us home.

Check in was fast and easy. The first 2 keys didn't work, but were quickly fixed. The room was big! There was a sitting room and a separate bedroom. We had 2 TVs. Most of the channels were news channels or sports channels, but we didn't come for the TV. My only complaints were that the hot water didn't get very hot and the uncarpeted floor was dirty. And for some reason the only sink was in the sitting area. With no towel holder. So after you washed your hands you had to drip water back to the bathroom to dry your hands. Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

The rooms were clean and plenty of room. Property was clean and safe and plenty of parking. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not far from restaurants and shopping. About 20 minutes from savannah historic district and most attractions but right off I-95 so not hard to get around.

Lots of parking. Rooms are clean and has everything you typically need. Staff is friendly.

The breakfast menu was great. They had multiple choices of what to eat & drink. They offer room service & they have a flyer in the room. The room was very nice & it wasn't too small. The staff was very nice & respectful. The parking was amazing & it was close to the lobby doors. They had 2 tv's & I was shocked about it. However, one only works the other one didn't. The bathtub was a good size, but it looked like the painting was coming off & on the wall. it was a small size, but it can be repainted. When I was watching tv & I hit the mute button, there was a green snowy fuzzy that covered most of the screen. I had to wait a few minutes before it went off. The tv looked like it was going to shut off but it didn't. They need to take a look at the tv & possible electric issue. Other than that, I had a great experience with this hotel.

Great experience. Very clean and new. Staff was exceptional especially Hugh who went out of his way to make our staff enjoyable. Large parking area. Will definitely stay again. Lovely room set up with sitting room and bedroom each with a tv.

The only reason I have a four star was due to the EV charger not being in service as that is why we picked this hotel.

Hotel has recently been renovated - they've done an awesome job! It was like staying in a brand new hotel. Lots of space in our room and the breakfast area. Also has a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace - such a nice place for a small family gathering or to just relax.

Hugh at the front desk was polite and accommodating. The room was very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Parking was more than adequate.

I'll start with the good. The hotel seemed new and it was clean. The area felt a little sketchy though. The smell of sulphur in the air kept waking us up all night, which is kind of to be expected in Savannah. The sheets were very itchy so we kept scratching all night. They need to use some kind of fabric softener if they don't, or get a better quality of sheets. For the price, it was okay.

Our room ended up with a water leak on Saturday night. And they moved us to anew room quickly. Everyone was friendly.

They got maintaince to jump start my rental car as road-side assistance never arrived.

Room was immaculate. Very quiet great nights sleep. Comfortable beds.

My top sheet had red platters on it. Looked like blood or or dark red juice. Also, when throwing something away in the bathroom trash can I noticed a reddish orange color under the clear trash bag. I looked closer and it looked like either food or vomit was left at the bottom of the trashcan, underneath the bag. Shows that the rooms are not cleaned thoroughly and the bedding is not inspected enough before using them.

Breakfast was great. Parking was free!!!

Rooms had been updated and my first room was not clean and the door would not seal correctly while bottom side left opening and you could see hallway with door closed staff did switch us to clean room but water stains on wall and bathroom ceiling in shower

This was a pleasant surprise at how clean and spacious the room was. The hotel has just been remodeled and it was done well. The only issues we had which were minimal were the pool was closed and breakfast wasn’t very good. The eggs and meat were not good at all. If you wanted a waffle or yogurt, they were good but it was very cheap food. The eggs were the worst. Weird watery texture and the meat was low quality. We stayed for 3 days. Sausage, then ham and then sausage again. Never was it good. The staff was wonderful and i absolutely will stay here again unless a competitor has a rate as reasonable as there’s but has a good breakfast.

When I checked in I requested a 1st floor and was told they all were reserved? Yet there were only 5 vehicles? The building is new which is good, The is nice but the A,C only cools half of the suite.
