The breakfast is delicious. Treats offered during teatime are also great. Only downside is that our room didn’t have dressers so we couldn’t unpack during our stay. We will definitely come again.

The staff was wonderful and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, and we truly enjoyed it. The accommodations were comfortable, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Beautiful home and location. Just steps away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism, but right in the heart of history and everything we expected from Savannah.

One moment that will stay with me was when I asked the manager for a small accommodation and was told, "This is your home this week." Those simple words truly resonated with me and perfectly reflected the level of hospitality I experienced throughout my stay. It's rare to find a place where you feel so genuinely cared for. Thank you to the entire Bellwether team for making my visit such a comfortable and memorable one. I look forward to returning. My favorite place to stay, Janet Tipton

Everything was spectacular!! We were impressed and delighted. And we have plenty of experience with hotels - as we've stayed at dozens over the past six months, all around the world. This one stood out--the authentic thoughtfulness of the staff, outstanding breakfast spread, offers of high tea with scones, champagne, inviting porch and sitting areas, spacious room with huge windows, attractive decor--A+ on all. Bravo. Well done. Thank you. We loved staying with you.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel for those who have stayed in one before. When I brought up our experience to the manager, he said “Well, we are not a self professed 5 star hotel”. Fair enough. We booked a “garden suite” at this supposed 5 star property, and we were put in a basement bedroom with 200 yr old brick floors that your socks catch on… It was dirty with remnants from the previous occupants in there. We had blood on our duvet, but they changed our duvet when we asked. When we came back later after dinner we found a large hair obviously from the employee who kindly changed the dirty bed. Just a bad experience, I have little doubt another one of the many properties in the area would have been a superior experience, and costed less too. Very disappointing stay.

The breakfast was not consistent, but there was a wide variety. I think for being a Michelin star it should’ve had homemade pastries not store-bought. I also feel like it should’ve had a small microwave in the room and makeup wipes or makeup towel or something to clean your face with. The bedding was amazing Mattress a bit soft for our taste, but that’s a hard one to get right.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Bellweather. Super charming and clean with nice amenities and the largest porch in Savannah. They have afternoon tea at 4 PM and champagne every day at 6 PM. My only suggestion is that some of the staff could be more proactive with guest engagement. Especially if a guest is traveling solo.

The Bellwether is located on a wonderful street. We enjoyed the location. I wish we would have known the room we booked was upstairs with no elevator. I would have requested a downstairs unit. The room was very nice and the morning breakfast was good. We arrived during the afternoon tea but were not offered any. We were told be missed it yet people were still sitting there enjoying it. We had to ask for help with bags as it was not offered and the person at the desk didn't seem enthusiastic to help. In the end, we hauled up our bags ourself. In the evening we had drinks at the bar, and the young lady working the bar was wonderful and cheery. We talked with her for 30 minutes or so and really enjoyed her company and drinks. They did hold our bags so that was very helpful. Overall, this is a pretty cool place to stay if you want to experience a night in a historic home. Very cozy and quiet.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The elevated breakfast was delicious every morning. It was a beautiful presentation every day. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. We felt very relaxed during our stay. Sipping coffee on the front porch, enjoying champagne on the back patio added to our experience. We truly felt the Southern hospitality here. The tree lined street in the beautiful neighborhood was the perfect location for us. We were close enough to walk to everything but far enough away to enjoy the calm and quiet. The afternoon tea was a lovely bonus. I highly recommend staying here if you want a true Bed and Breakfast experience with a lot of attention to details. I definitely will stay here again.

The service was wonderful, tea/coffee time and champagne times were very enjoyable. Breakfast was great. The staff was always accessible and did their best to help out with any questions. The room I paid for was not the that was given to me. They did credit my account, still waiting to see the credit appear. However, they should have moved me into that room or given me another time to stay in that room. They tried to make it a big deal that I had the largest bathroom in the place but that was not what I was looking to get out of staying at bed and breakfast. Then I find out I had to pay additional money for the breakfast/parking after the stay.

The first thing that was off was there was some chocolate/cake in our fridge (left by the previous guests) when we got to our room that my wife put her hand in and didn't realize and it really grossed us out. But the second thing was worse in that we could not adjust the temperature in the room by ourselves. The room was first too hot so we tried to lower the temperature of the heat but it didn't matter as the temperature we set would jump back up to what it was before we adjusted it (we weren't sure if the heat was also connected with another room). So we reached the front desk and realized that we couldn't adjust the temperature ourselves in the room. There was no description anywhere that mentioned this lack of ability to adjust the temperature and the temperature being right is a crucial element of feeling comfortable and to be able to sleep well for us (and I assume for some other guests as well). Eventually, the front desk was able to help us adjust the temperature. But it required us to constantly go back and forth to figure out what was right for us instead of us being able to adjust it ourselves in

Complimentary 4pm tea with nice sweet and savory treats. Everyone was super accommodating and tried to please. I feel where this hotel falls short (4 stars instead of 5) is in the room accommodation. We booked a king Garden Suite, acknowledging it was the cheapest offering. But it was still priced at just around $300/ night. (An expected price for a luxury hotel). However we didn’t realize it had an outdoor below ground level entrance and no windows. That wasn’t terrible, but even though it was basically clean, the room is somewhat dated and things in general were on the cheaper side. For example, the pump bottle of soap on the sink in the bathroom was super watery, feeling it was watered down to “stretch” it. The tissues felt cheap. There were robes and slippers in the closet but they were a weird gray material that was not inviting to put on. The seam was coming out on the slippers giving the feeling that the same ones might have been used over & over. These luxury items did not feel new, fresh or clean. The floors were all brick and cold. There was a thinish rug that barely covered under the bed, requiring slippers if you didn’t want to be barefoot on a cold floor. The lighting was as dim as could be. One dim fixture on the ceiling and super low lighting in the bathroom. Not ideal with no windows. The shower handle was loose and the key pad entrance lock didn’t work (needed new batteries).

Rooms were ok, shelf in bathroom was broken and barely hanging on couple screws. Also didn’t realize the room we were getting the door is outside, like a motel. So the only time we were inside the actual building was coming back from a walk in the evening and for breakfast. Not worth $400-500 a night. Quite disappointed to be honest. Breakfast though was good, lots of healthy options, everything looked fresh and the newly remodeled bathroom looked really good. I would have loved for the music to be more of the house time era to get a full vibe of the historic staying vs Justin Bieber that could be listened to anywhere anytime.

That its a historical place with lots of charm! Our room was nice, but needed a lot of attention to details on finishing up Repairs, several items that need to be completed. The toilet was running in the our bathroom and no cold water in our sink, the bed was not made up properly and the floor was dirty upon arrival. The back door to our room was very hard yo open and close and lock.

Check in was a breeze and the staff was very helpful. The included breakfast was also very good. Parking was a block away but they have a loading area right there which was great. The premises were very clean, well maintained, and interesting. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the scenery, with a large courtyard and very nice front porch. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, and updated. My only issue was the WiFi was unreliable so watching tv was difficult. I would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, throughout our stay, our room had no heat and at times no electricity Given that this occurred during winter, the conditions were extremely uncomfortable and unexceptable for upscale hotel like yours. Your hotel was not prepared for this weather. As a direct result of the cold conditions I became ill during the stay and after. This significantly affected my holiday celebrations. This situation caused distress and inconvenience and did not meet the basic standards of hospitality that was advertised and paid for. I believe it’s reasonable to expect services such as heating and electricity to be fully operational especially in December. I am therefore kindly requesting that you review this matter and provide appropriate compensation for the affected nights. Even though the staff was trying to resolve the issue but was not successful. I hope we can resolve this matter amicably. Please respond to me within a reasonable time frame on how this will be resolved.

Wonderful "historic" home in a great part of town (midtown, just off Forsyth Park-we highly recommend staying in this part of town which is quiet and convenient). Owners did a great job of adding modern conveniences to the 19th century building making the experience comfortable while getting the feel for the character of Savannah. Staff was friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. We especially liked the second entrance to our room which led out to an expansive balcony.

Beautiful property, everyone who appreciates architecture will enjoy it. We stayed in the premium king room facing the street. It was quiet. The area is very walkable. The breakfast was nice, a lot of variety, amazing pastries. They also offer afternoon tea, which we tried once and champagne at 6pm. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. I would rate this property at 4.5 stars.

I chose the Bellwether based on the rave reviews, and it certainly lived up to the hype! The room was stunningly beautiful and cozy. The bathroom was simply breathtaking, with its captivating emerald green and gold accents that exuded an air of luxurious elegance. The entire house exuded a classic and historic charm, yet it was infused with a touch of opulence that made you feel like a star in a timeless film.

The Bellweather was very cool. Its an old place made into hotel rooms. We had room 3 which was spacious, comfy bed, awesome tub, the shower was like stepping into the department of mysteries. I loved it. However it was not a quiet room. Noise carries in old places and general noise wasnt a problem but the room backed the wall of the bar and coffee area so you could hear the blender or grinder. Also the back patio was out the bathroom window. So it wasn't terrible but for room 3 just FYI, still a great room. The staff was great, all very nice people. The hotel had breakfast, tea time, champagne toast, they made coffee for us all day. It was such a cool place with so many fun details and amenities. We walked everywhere day, night and felt completely safe. I would 100% stay there again.

Great part of town, nice breakfast and teatime plus coffee’s and teas offered all day. The softest sheets ever and comfortable king sized bed. Bathroom was lovely. Few things didn’t work in our room like main light, safe, fan in bathroom. There’s a cafe/bakery a few blocks away called Mate Factor that is darling, friendly and delicious and it was my favorite place on the whole trip.

Property not what was listed when I booked. They still need to make changes to their website to reflect what you are really getting. I’d even suggest the previous company deleting past reviews; bc it’s like they are being slandered now they’ve been taken over my someone else. It false advertising. I read so many great reviews and they had listing of this wonderful home made menu based breakfast and afternoon tea. Even mention of a chef in house. I was looking for a five star location for a staycation, with chef cooked meals throughout the day; I was willing to pay of course . As my arrival date approached I started reading reviews that said everything had changed. I do not think the 1100 I paid for two.nights justified the experience. Parking situation awful, no instructions were given before on where to park etc., so I lugged my bags from the lot to the property, not fun and not five star. No one answers the phone when called, they don’t respond to texts when you text them but say that’s the best way to communicate. After the breakfast day one, I didn’t even waste my time to do the afternoon tea. The room was nice, but that’s really it. I wouldn’t stay again. Why ruin such a nice gem, obviously people are willing to pay for superb services and experiences.

The nightly champagne saber exemplified this. My husband and I got lattes from the bar each morning which were delicious. The location is very convenient, as well. The hotel was as pictured! Very nice, clean, beds are super UBER comfortable, so much so that I came home & ordered one! It smelled AMAZING, staff were top tier, coffee & teas were an incredible touch. They have complimentary parking. There was one huge & one minor drawback! The house is NOT SEALED!!! The windows, DRAFTY!! The door to the outdoor space DRAFTY!!! ! My room got down 67 both nights. I stayed cold while there.... so cold I had to leave 2 days early. I was given a space heater, but of course it shut off after so long & I am certain left me cold longer while sleeping than I know, I know that because I woke up both mornings freezing & with bad joint pain from the cold. Also the toilets are really low. Yes I went during a time that was very cold & they had snow BUT, this bed & breakfast is in Georgia, it gets cold EVERY year in Georgia, there is absolutely no reason a well over $300 a night hotel alternative should be uncomfortable to that level in cold weather. I was uncomfortable (physically) for two days. I booked 3rd party, so no refund was supposed to be given. They did approved a refund for the balance of the stay, but in truth, I should not been charged anyhing considering their inability to control temps to that degree. They can seal that house up & still preserve it's historic look & feel. Staff, awesome, beds are a dream... but, I won't go back!! If it's that cold in winter, whew, Ga summers are likely HOT, HOT!! That's a no for me!

I can’t say enough nice things about our stay at the Bellwether House. Staff really took care of us. It was very quiet and comfortable. The room was clean and spacious and our bathroom was giant. All the food and drinks served were delicious. Really walkable to a lot of places in the historic district in Savannah and to the park. A great stay!

We had an enjoyable stay at the Bellwether House even though we had a hurricane hit while we were there. The staff was very accommodating, and even let us book a second room due to a power outage at our daughter's house. Loved the extra touches of champagne, cookies, tea time and breakfast. The friendly staff was the best!

Absolutely fantastic property and the location is perfect to Forsyth Park close to the main fountain (just a small walk away) - we arrived at night so the front entrance was tricky to find, however there is a rear entrance to the hotel property down an adjacent rear alley/street (E Gaston Lane) with a very convenient area to load and unload luggage, step through the courtyard and up the steps into the rear entrance of Bellwether. Room Four was amazing.

Our stay at Bellwether was truly amazing. It was our first time ever at a B&B and it far exceeded any expectations. The property was beautiful and immaculately kept. The staff were all so wonderful it felt like we were staying with friends. We plan on returning and making this our go-to place to stay when in Savannah. Our one regret was not making it to afternoon tea during our stay! But we know we will be back. Thank you, to all of you at Bellwether for a memorable and relaxing stay for my husband's birthday!

Highly recommended!

We stayed in room 4 with the balcony and it was amazing. The place is really clean and we enjoyed the complimentary tea time, breakfast, and night time snack. During our stay we were able to walk to Forsyth park which was about a 5-6 minutes walk and we were able to walk downtown to Savannah’s shopping and eating area which took about 12 minutes to walk. We are local to the area but staying at Bellwether was an amazing experience and worth the time

We stayed at Belwether House for a long weekend honeymoon. The attention and care of the staff during our stay was exceptional. We had a couples massage, picnic lunch and afternoon tea and each of these services receives a 5-star rating. The property is a short walk to everything Savannah has to offer. We took a different path each time we ventured out and found new & interesting shops, restaurants and historic places to check out. The staff was knowledgeable and each person seemed to do it all with an attitude of “I’ve got this!” It was refreshing to feel cared for in this way by the team at B.H. We will be back!

One of the BEST stays I’ve ever had anywhere. The property is lovely with all the historic charm, and modern amenities. Our room was beautiful, and the claw foot tub was an added bonus. The location was perfect for me and my husband, it was close enough to walk 15 minutes to downtown, but in a quiet, more distanced area from the chaos. And right next to Forsyth Park. The food is absolutely delicious! Do not miss their afternoon tea serving, little treats and finger sandwiches served with whatever you’d like to drink. Also, artisan coffee or whatever else you’d like is available at all hours. I got my fill of iced lattes while I was there. We’ll stay there next time we’re visiting for sure!

Beautiful BNB, excellent friendly & helpful staff, delicious house made pastries & unique/yummy Indian-influenced breakfast. Don’t miss the Moca Espresso & pour over coffee. I highly recommend this for a romantic getaway, or refreshing solo getaway. When other places are charging for every little amenity, The Bellwether is offering generous complimentary high tea, glass of champagne, waters, parking & full order-from-the-menu breakfast. The rooms have luxurious toiletries, & even provide facial cleanser. The essence of hospitality!

Easily one of the best hotels we've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The complimentary afternoon tea, champagne and indian-inspired breakfast were beautiful. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help and valet parking was free. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms and it was beautifully appointed. The bathroom in particular, with green glazed tiles and gold fittings, was stunning. The hotel was well located for visiting Savannah's parks and squares and a 15 minute walk from the riverside. Can't recommend enough.

Stand out favorites at the B&B were Brandon and Matt. Very welcoming and were able to accommodate us with recommendations stowing of our bags until our room was ready (early). Breakfast was AMAZING! This menu has something for everyone. Poached eggs, shrimp and grits, syrniki (pancakes), oatmeal, potatoes, and yummy house cured pork bacon. PLUS an amazing assortment of specialty coffees and teas. My two favorites were the chai latte and citrus ginger tea. Included daily afternoon tea (3 - 5 pm) had some great scones and little sandwiches (petit fours). Plus those great selection of teas. You can actually get these 24/7 you just have to ask. Included daily champagne sabering/ toast was a lovely touch. I looked forward to 6pm for this fun spectacle. Please note that all the rooms are different so this review is for room 4. Brandon and Matt said that our room was their favorite. We splurged since it was our anniversary. Our room was beautiful, nicely decorated, spacious, clean, and most importantly had a comfy bed. The bedding was great and it had great AC that appreciated in the Savannah heat. The little touches matter: The fridge had still and sparkling water included. The bathroom had claw foot tub, hair dryer, hair flat iron, free feminine products, facial foam cleanser, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Large tv with Youtube/Pluto television. Evening fresh baked chocolate chip cookies left in your room.

Our room was amazing with high ceilings, extremely comfortable bed and the MOST AMAZING shower I have ever had the pleasure of using. High tea and brunch were excellent and the unexpected Indian influence quite unexpected. Don't miss the 6:00 Saboring and champagne toast.
