We had a lovely time staying at the Ritz Sarasota. Everything was good. I wouldn’t say excellent, but very good. We have stayed at many Ritz Carlton hotels and felt the Sarasota Ritz was not up to the same level of service as the other hotels we have stayed at before. Overall, the hotel was clean and the beach club was great!

The property was beautiful and staff was very nice. I do wish there were more options for food onsite as well as the rooms were pretty small and we were on the 9th floor so I was a bit surprised (no room fridge). We did have a wonderful time just wasn’t as “resort” like as I expected.

Location of the property is wonderful. The shuttle bus to the private beach and Armond Circle was wonderful. We used it everyday. The drivers were super nice. The property is well maintained and the staff is so helpful and friendly.

Probably would not stay again, lots of trash and debris on the ledge outside my balcony. Staff was nice until the couple of times they weren't so great and we were caught off guard by it. Bar service and pool side service was great and we enjoyed the in room dining menu. Sleep was not great as the bed and linens just were not very comfortable. Lots of electrical/mechanical noises nearby. Overall we really enjoyed many aspects of our time there but it was over shadowed by some of the other things leaving our stay just sort of okay. We will not likely return

Professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was impressed to see many of the same staff from my visit four years ago, including vallet, Bellman, food service, and concierge. This says that the Ritz Carlton treats their employees well and in turn their customer service is top notch.

Great location and a quick shuttle ride to the beautiful Lido beach. The staff at the beach club were great, especially Lea! I went for a girls trip but definitely couples and family friendly. I will definitely be back.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet parking staff was extremely accomodating. Loved the ocean club. Bar was wonderful. Beach was great. Amenities were fantastic. Room was somewhat dated but very clean.

Everything was as expected from the Ritz. One comment, I was bilked a resort fee which the front desk never explained upfront when I checked in. I had access to activities I paid for but wasn’t made aware of. Use of kayaks, access to their golf club. I made them aware and they did reduce my bill because of they never explained the amenities I had access to and was paying for daily.

The halls and entry were very pretty The room was little better than an average hotel room and almost nothing was complimentary which is a basic expectation at almost all hotels. Bland oatmeal breakfast for $20. A can of Pepsi in the fridge for $6. Parking for $50 per night. For the amount we paid for a very average room, I expected a lot more from this resort and am disappointed.

Older resort, beach is very far and a lot of traffic for the shuttle which is once an hour only. Otherwise what I found is that Sarasota isn’t a great place to go to anyways. Definitely not worth the price, maybe for 1/5th it’s okay. Staff and service was excellent and everyone was very professional, definitely 5 star for that.

Kimberly is an absolute standout; truly extraordinary. Her smile and laugh are so infectious that if you’re having a bad day, she’ll instantly turn it around. Whoever had the insight to place her at the front of the house is a genius, because her caring and loving nature shines through in every interaction. Her personal touch has a way of soothing even the most stressed guest and makes everyone feel genuinely welcome.

The only things I would change are: 1) a yoga studio or place to stretch at the gym 2) move the smoking area farther from the front entrance. For an upscale hotel, one should not have to inhale cigarette smoke while waiting for your car.

Definitely not 5 star property but more like 3-4 stars. Property needs a significant upgrade as it is stuck in the late 90s. Dirty carpets on premise (6 floor). Chipped walls and furniture through out the property. Leaking pipes in the restaurant area. Zero attention to details from staff. Long wait for food in the restaurant. Food greasy and bland.

The day of my arrival., I asked the car bell guy if he could please help us load our luggage onto the cart since we had a long trip & we were all so tired., He said OK gets the cart places by the vehicle takes the tip goes around the vehicle.. by than my son already had taken out the luggage’s out the vehicle and put it on the cart himself. So than he takes off.,? what happened to bell service? we check in I get a connecting room with my guest that i was checking in with.? We were not asked if that is something we wanted? that is normall something your asked at check in? I didn’t know until we got to our room.. Than once we settle in the room we realize the AC was not working well.. I tried expressing all of this to the manager & all she had to say was “ I’M SORRY “.. ?

Juan, the bellman, was just as impressive, quickly bringing our luggage to our room with a smile. The attention to detail was remarkable; the entire valet team was exceptional, ensuring my car was always ready when I needed it, all while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor. The pool area was a serene oasis, with fantastic service that made lounging in the sun even more enjoyable. I also spent time at the Ritz Beach, where the high level of service continued to impress me. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. I did encounter a minor issue with a delivery, but Stephanie from the front desk resolved it quickly, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. My vacation was filled with relaxation, and I cherished every moment. The highlight was definitely the spa experience. I treated myself to a deep tissue massage with Freddy, who provided exceptional service and left me feeling rejuvenated. Overall, my week at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, was nothing short of extraordinary. I returned home feeling refreshed and revitalized.

The Ritz Carlton is a five star hotel with service the second to none. This was our third summer stay there and each time it seems to get better and better. Loved everything about it from the room to the pool to the amenities in, especially to the staff.

Dining at Jack Dusty and Rufa was excellent (don’t miss the sliders!), and the poolside facilities like fishing kayaking and games were a hit with the whole family. The Club Lounge was the highlight—five gourmet food presentations daily, open bar, and outstanding staff who catered to my dietary needs with care and attention. We’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels, but this was one of the best lounge experiences we’ve had. Huge thanks to the Club Lounge team—you made our stay truly unforgettable!

Great: Everything else was excellent! The entire staff was superb. I Specifically want to single out the spa and beach… SPA: Excellent facility, fantastic amenities, kind helpful staff, my wife and I had an excellent couples massage; can’t say enough about the spa and staff. LIDO BEACH: The Beach Club is 3.3 miles from the hotel, but they have a bus that leaves every hour. It’s one of the best beaches I’ve visited in a long time. The staff was very attentive, food and drinks delivered to your lounge beachside; I could go on but you get the picture. In summation, if you can afford it, you’ll definitely come away relaxed and recharged.

We recently stayed at this property for a milestone event, and unfortunately, there was an incident at the pool involving an intoxicated and disorderly woman. No one from the hotel staff stepped in to address the situation. Several guests were left to try and address the situation on their own, once security was alerted It was an extended period of time until they spoke to her. She was allowed to remain on property and was served more alcohol. There were several other issues during our stay, but my primary concern would be the inconsistency of service and the way that this situation was handled. Security was slow to respond and hesitant to act. I would be very concerned to stay there if there were an actual security issue. The hotel location is very convenient and a beautiful view, but I think there are two other hotels in the area that may be better for your stay.

The hotel was under renovation and I was given a room that faced scaffolding. I had to keep my curtains closed pretty much all the time as construction crew started early. Disappointing views, dust, and poor dining options for the price.

Extremely noisy room. Very pretty overlooking the marina, we paid for this upgraded room. When I complained about the excessive entertainment noise every night until very late, the staff did not care or make any recommendations to fix it. We spent a lot of money at the restaurants & the gift shops. Very disappointed nothing was done to make our wedding anniversary special.

Hospitality at this RC is above and beyond! We stayed for my birthday and staff went out of the way with amenities and kindness at every turn. Special thanks to Ben on Club Level who was so kind, always remembered our names, and gave great birthday suggestions (kayaking in the mangroves was amazing!) and our lovely cleaner Cece who was so helpful with everything we needed in the room. Everyone was warm, kind and professional. A great stay and look forward to returning!

Front desk provide is a room w balcony w a view to the ceiling of the entrance. This was UGLY! I had to request another room while everything was closed due to Debby the tropical storm. Very, very bad behaviour from Alex the manager of the restaurant, I felt like he was rejecting me as animal. I have spoken to Joshua and that he was going to speak w Simon, the mgr of restaurants. Bad bad experience definitely they have not the standard of what Ritz represents. I am a 25 Marriott member.

Asked 3 times to get the internet tv fixed - and while I didn’t go to Florida for internet tv, I was disappointed with a lack of a solution other than “oh well, sorry” - I mean, if you’re gonna charge top dollar, shouldn’t everything be top class working condition? I would expect “oh well” from the holiday inn - but I would not be paying what I paid there. The staff is great, just disappointed by the lack of a solution. Move us to another room, comp us a night - anything - to show that you do. Or

I really enjoyed the valet parking. They parked your car and returned your car quickly with no delays. They were very nice and friendly too. The wellness room was fully stocked with exercise equipment that were top notch in quality. I enjoyed my stay!

In addition, the first night they gave us a room on the second floor with a “balcony” which opened up to a concrete floor, that the tv was not working and more importantly , that they aware of plumbing issues on that floor where there was constant banging on the walls all night. I wore ear plugs and still had trouble sleeping. I called very early in the morning to complain ( we checked in at 1030 pm The night before ) and they agreed to change us to another room. We were out all day due to personal medical issues and when we came back to change our stuff out of our original room, it appeared they were annoyed and we had tv people In the room repairing the tv. The new room was lovely except that ( and this was no fault of the hotel) we had a child SHRIEKING at the top Of his lungs in the hallway and his parents yelling behind him at 650 am… which continued for quite a while. Two sleepless nights. The second would not have been that bad if we had had a comfortable the first night. No real apology . No real concern . Very sad for a ritz at the prices we pay

I was looking for a great experience because it’s the Ritz after all. It’s a small property— small pool area and one restaurant on premise with another one offsite. We had dinner and breakfast and it was nothing special— no different than an average hotel experience. The bathtub in my room didn’t drain. Customer service was definitely 5 star. Overall it was not the special experience I was hoping for.

We were, however, disappointed that our request to reserve the tennis court was not entered into the booking system so we unfortunately were unable to play. The desk staff did not apologize for this error, but rather suggested that I had not booked it. I felt a little disrespected, so just thought I would mention it here.
