Cons: Thin walls. Next door room was talking on the phone for hours after 10pm, we could hear everything she was saying. Breakfast sucks.

Do not stay here. Worst hotel we ever stayed in and had to check out early after 1 night. The rooms stink, the pillows stink. Just avoid at all costs. Pay the extra $30 to stay somewhere you can actually sleep and breath in.

I have been staying at this location for over 10 years…, The Hotel has changed ownership but it’s always been greatly maintained….. It’s a short drive to the Beach and Shopping , great Restaurants are walking distance …..

I would recommend to anyone interested to visit siesta key , very good location, everything you needed is around it and the beach is only 6 minutes away!!

This is an old hotel with little amenities. Daily housekeeping was not available. Pool is small and dirty, hut tub was not working, sink in room was clogged. This was not what I expected with the Hilton

Only complaints would be limited options at breakfast (bagels, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs). And the air conditioner in the room was loud it sounded like a plastic bag blowing in the wind. The pool and pool bar were nice as well as the hot tub. There is a few restaurants within walking distance and a free shuttle that goes to siesta key. If I come back I would stay here again.

It’s basic but comfortable. Good breakfast housekeeping did not show up in the 2 nights we spent there. No beds made no new towels no emptying baskets. That was not very good.

The room was smaller than I thought when I originally booked it, but we loved this place. Bagels and cream cheese for breakfast was perfect, it's our favorite. It seemed room service was every single day and they were always cleaning making sure everything was great. We personally didn't use room service, but they kept it clean. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It was our first time in Florida, FINALLY, and we decided to stay an extra day for may 25, and they were able to add an extra day and stay in the same room! We didn’t use the pool, we were at the beach mainly, but the pool, drinks, and food truck looked amazing!!! I’m sad we didn’t use those! There’s lots of parking spots around the building and we always were able to park close to our room. The only downside for the room was the shower drain was not the best. I would stay here in Florida again, as the price and everything the room comes with is very reasonable and not overpriced. Thank you for having us, we will be back!!

The pictures grossly misrepresent the facility. It is quite old, maintenance is so so, and the pool is poor. There is an outdoor entrance to your room from a long walkway, lile the Holliday Inns in the 50s. The same carpet that is outdoors in the walkway extends straight into your room. It is overpriced and is not consistent with the description on the website at all. If it hadn’t been for spring break, we would’ve stayed anywhere else. Taking advantage of spring breakers is something from the seventies which should be unacceptable now.

Hot tub was broken. Water in shower was extremely hot and my 4 year old almost got burned. There wasn't really a tempature controle it just went from hot to scalding. Room was clean.

We happened to be there at LOVEBUG season, so they were Everywhere! The Hotel CLOSED the pool bar. So NO Happy hour or drinks available. The pool had lots of bugs in it. And the " HOTTUB"?? Very strange ( NO bubbles) NO Coffee maker in the room! NO Microwave either. NO Pool Towels.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, pool, staff was nice, very convenient when going to Siesta Beach. The restaurant next to the hotel has a good menu, recommended the Cuban sandwich and the ribs platter. I will come back.

The hotel was a great location for those that want to visit Siesta Key Beach... Much more affordable than most of the property rentals that physically border the beach... In addition the hotel is conveniently located across the street (Walking Distance) from major retail, banking, & grocery stores including Walgreens, Bank of America, Publix, Marshalls, Ross, Nordstrom Rack, Sephora, restaurant outlets such as Longhorn Steakhouse, Panera Bread, Five Guys, and Hooters... However, you will likely won't dine at any of those places as Siesta Key has many small restaurant businesses that are cute and have good food options, particularly the Seafood Restaurants (Fresh Fish) and Breakfast Spots. The continental breakfast was okay, the rooms are very clean, the pool is decent, however, the property areas to be a former motel in which Hilton renovated. The carpet that lies outside the building and infront of each hotel room is old and odd, plus the hotel elevator can use an upgrade. Love the warning about the Love Bugs inside the elevator. I think this property would be a better gem if the hotel had additional renovations, more alignment with transportation companies for guest travel options to the Sarasota-Bradention Int'l Airport if you are catching an early flight (Uber/Lyft seems remote at 4:00am in the morning). Other than the hotel exterior and transportation to the Airport, no complaints really... It served a purpose which was convenience and I had a beautiful time!

Once we checked in we went to our room and it was filled those lovebugs! I know this is season for them. But I feel they should try and clean all rooms even if they are occupied or not. They were all over the room! On the window, walls, bathroom and bed!!! It was definitely not a good impression of the hotel upkeep.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a few issues with hot water but that was resolved once we brought it up to the desk. My only downfall is that were a little further from the beach. But there is a ride service offered at the hotel so that helped tremendously. We loved the pool and the pizza truck right outside. Super reasonable and delicious

The pool was very nice, away from the road and surrounded by nice landscaping, but sometimes ran out of towels. The room was clean and in great condition. A broken soap dispenser in our shower was not fixed after we reported it. One "styley" lamp had a camouflaged switch it took me two days to find.

Basic room with updates, had everything we needed, was comfortable and well suited. Short drive to beaches. We would 100% stay here again if in the area.

I can’t think of much good to say about this motel besides the 24/7 coffee available in the lobby and the pool was nice. The front desk staff was also very nice and accommodated any requests for new towels, sheets, etc. That said, the room was very dreary, old looking, and stale smelling and there was not even a safe in the room to store valuables. The towels had stains on them. The tv remote had awful connection to the tv so i had to click the button several times from several different angles to get it to work. The water pressure in both the sink and shower were terrible and there was an odd smell that came from the shower after we turned it on. There was “love bugs” all over the property which is out of their control bc they are all over sarasota, however, the door had gaps so several of the bugs entered our room. Also, the window of the rooms point directly out at the exterior hall so dont plan to ever open your blinds and get natural light in the room bc anyone walking past your room will clearly see into your window. House keeping did not do a good job at all. The bed was also hard as a rock. i had to stand in the shower to get the door to close in the bathroom bc it was so small and the lock didnt even work. The continental breakfast was just stale bagels, muffins, cereal, and oat meal and was all unappetizing. The speed bumps in the parking lot were violent at even just 2 mph. Dirty motel vibes and not what i expected from a Hilton. Idk why Hilton associates with this

The room has windows openings to the front where people walk or connect to their room.so you cannot open the curtains comfortably because you would expose yourself and room to others. The bathroom is very small with no vantiator. You would feel the moisture in the room obviously.. The bed was good enough not to get my back pain. . Breakfast was not good if you compare it to other hotels (home2) Staff were nice and friendly, plenty of parking, next to the restaurants . We just will not stay here again if we go to Sarasota.

Nice staff. Location. Breakfasts at all can be said that nothing. It's good that at least there was oatmeal in the bags. In three days, the room was never cleaned. The air conditioner was too loud.

The hotel is good. It’s served its purpose . But it’s a motel that was renovated. The eating area is nice and clean. The surrounding parts need more help. The flooring in the hallways are beat up. As well as the elevator. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom tub was difficult to use. I probably won’t stay again. But it wasn’t horrible and the staff was very nice.

Great Stay! Only recommendation: The Trash Bin on the East side of property where I parked was filthy around the Bin fencing area. Was told it was not Sparks, but I had to park there and seeing the mess reflected on the hotel property cleanliness.

I loved how you had a mini tropical oasis in the middle of the city unfortunately, despite the wonderful accommodations, we were swarmed with love bugs for two of the days we were there we couldn’t be in the pool. The pool bar was closed. There isn’t really a bar in the lobby. I know this is out of your control, but if I would’ve known, we were in love bug season I never would have planned it thank goodness for the shuttle to the Siesta Beach that was our savior. We spent two beautiful days there.

Modern rooms and public areas. Comfortable beds and nice furnishings. Very friendly and pleasant personnel. This is the first Spark we have stayed at and it's one that wasn't built by Hilton and it shows. I wouldn't mind trying one that was always a Spark by Hilton.

The hotel and staff were very very good. The breakfast was definitely less than what we expected and minimal tea options, and coffee was always empty. Pół area was clean and relaxing- we needed a late check out due to a car issue and staff was very accommodating. Beds were comfortable - our room was rather humid but the a/c worked great. They charge a deposit and never refund it. The breakfast???? I mean, there is no breakfast at all just a piece of beagle and hard bread. The room???? Not clean at all, soooooo expensive for only one nightmare

The rooms have a serious problem with humidity. Your clothes feels moist and anything wet never dries completely. The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is lacking variety. No protein except for hard boiled eggs that you need to peel yourself. The yogurt dispenser is a questionable way to serve yogurt. You can see that it was an old motel that was renovated by Hilton. It does have a good central location very close to Siesta beach.

Our room smelled like mildew bad the pillows were terrible we asked for extras that also smelled like mildew. The representative was awesome and transferred us to a better room. It didn’t smell like mildew. however it was very loud and I couldn’t sleep would not stay here again and breakfast was not good at all. Worst Hilton I’ve ever been to and rooms were very small.

The hotel is located quite near to the beach, great restaurants and local attractions. Parking at public beaches can be a challenge so the complimentary ride can be a great benefit. There is no in-room safe but a safety deposit box was available at the front desk. Continental breakfast was not great but adequate, Pool bar was a good hangout with pizza food truck on property nearby and the pool was a great temperature. Overall a good stay.

Lynn the pool bar tender was the best! Any type of drink you could think of she could make, and they were all delicious. The room could use a small table and chair or two if space allowed for one, but other than that it did the job.

The place was not Hilton standard clean or anything else but the staff was all very nice. Website is very misleading ‼️ Only a tiny bar by the pool was only open a few hrs a day with a few seats. The bartenders were super nice though 👍 Shower curtain was ripping at the seams. Bathmat(cloth) was stained. No toilet paper was left one day. Not even the one we had when we left the room. This place should not be advertised as a hotel or associated with the Hilton. It is more of an obviously converted motel. I was not pleased for the price that was paid and will not return.

Not much of a breakfast. Cheap and not cheerful. The coffee is awful. I love a coffee in the morning but this was hot water, well warm, with a few sprinkles of coffee. They run out of hot water to make tea and Swiss Miss hit chocolate mix. Don’t make your decision on their fake breakfast. Pool bar staff absolutely delightful.

The staff was attentive and courteous. Definitely a bright spot here. We did experience a few issues, none of which we reported because they were not things that we felt the staff could do anything about immediately. First the water pressure was extremely low. Not only in the shower, but also in the sink. In addition while taking a shower, the water would go from scolding hot to cold multiple times. The TV glitched at least two or three times a night. Certain channels weren’t available on DIRECTV. There was not one drawer in the room, only cubbies. I felt like I was back in kindergarten . When we first booked our stay, we thought it’s a Hilton. It should be fine. But the property itself was of a much lower standard than any other Hilton. I have previously stated in, and I am a Hilton Honors member.

We were impressed that we weren’t required to request daily BASIC room service. Clean towels, trash emptied and bed made (no one needs daily sheets changed). All the simple things that were routine PRE COVID…..

They state they have shuttle to the beach, but it's actually not a owned shuttle by the hotel, it's a free service by an independent company, so wait time varies. Clean and comfortable rooms. We would definitely stay again.

Property was clean and only 7 minutes from Siesta. It is located near many main highways. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They had beach chairs for us to use so ask. Great pool which is heated at 86. We stayed 3/18-3/25. Beds are comfy but pillows need an upgrade. Mini fridge in room. Continental breakfast provided. Great location and good price. We stayed in room 122 which is located on first floor near pool. Elevator provided for all 3 upper floors. The hotel is located sideways so front of building faces a parking lot. Back of building faces pool. If you are a Hilton Honors member and download app you are able to pick or change your room if needed. We will most definitely choose to stay here again!

Breakfast was good, but overall accommodations were mediocre. I expected more from a Hilton property. No water bottles in room and we received no cleaning service the second day despite being out of the room for over 3-4 hours at the beach.

We are fans of the Hilton brand, but this particular product was terrible. It is a motel, with exterior halls and all, with a Hilton label. The room is loud and dirty. The walls were so thin that we could hear our neighbors' conversation (at normal conversation volume) as if they were in the room with us. You could hear the traffic and sirens outside. The shower fluctuated in temperature so violently that I narrowly escaped being scalded, especially after spending the first part of my shower freezing. There was black mold on the ceiling. The window of the room looks out onto the exterior hallway, so people walking by can see into your room. It is awkward. There is something wrong with all the outlets and USB ports, where neither of our phones was able to fully charge; I have an iPhone, and my husband has an Android. We tried multiple chargers, from wireless to the USB chargers in the room, using our own charging blocks, and we could not get our phones to fully charge from ANY of the outlets. The room is overpriced. This is definitely a motel, and Hilton should be ashamed of this product.

At the rate we paid we should have be offered another property if they didn’t have availability.

The hotel was not a hotel but a motel... they only had bagels for breakfast there was no hot food. The rooms were very small VERY small. The room was clean but the tub was stained and could use an update... This was just a 3 night get away for us but i would of been a little upset if we'd of stayed longer.

Staff at the facility was top notch. Pool area was very clean. Sub par Breakfast revolved around a bagel & coffee bar. Bed was fair at best. Pillows were the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel. Hilton having their name on this hotel surprises me. I don’t think it’s up to their standards. From people we met there, this used to be a Best Western & the only thing that has changed since it was purchased is the name. No real upgrades to the property.

This is a solid hotel. Rooms and common areas were spotless. Staff was warm and welcoming. Pool was nice as was the pool bar. We were even able to borrow beach chairs, umbrella and cooler for our day at the beach. Only drawback is the location. It's located on a highway with fast food and big box stores. It is however, a short ride to the beach.

One thing to keep in mind is the breakfast. If you’re expecting a varied or hot breakfast, you might be disappointed. The options were very limited — mainly bagels and hard-boiled eggs, and this was the same throughout the entire stay. In the evenings, it was also difficult to get hot water for tea, as it wasn’t really hot anymore. The coffee available all day long but didn’t seem fresh either. The hotel may suit travelers who prioritize a comfortable bed over modern facilities and breakfast variety, but there’s definitely room for improvement in amenities and food service.

Front desk was very professional even during the morning breakfast rush. The were short handed on kitchen staff. They managed the whole operation with a wonderful customer first attitude. I can’t remember there names!

1. Basic rooms nothing fancy- bed was a little not comfy for my liking and the pillows were not the greatest… I still managed to sleep fine given we spent our days full of activities that sleeping, was no issue (Note, rooms have no noise isolation so you can hear it all)… the room has no slippers nor bathtubs neither have safe. 2. Location- we rented a car so Never used the beach shuttle. Beach (Siesta) was 7min driving and the little village was another 2min… downtown Sarasota was 15-20min driving and St Armand was also another 15min driving Overall good location 3. Service- attention was good. I was able to text and they responded quickly when asked for late check-out …. I didn’t make use of the swimming pool nor tried their complementary breakfast but the section was large and people seems happy with both. The hotel has ice machines on each floor which was helpful. Parking is free and there is plenty of it, we never had a problem. Room service was good New towels every day and bed sheets were changed I think on day 3. Overall good hotel- just good. I guess I was expecting more given the price, especially given the fact that we went off-season. The hotel made feel I was in motel, the outside is not that invited …my only observations are the water pressure is not the greatest (we were on the 4th floor dunno if that matters) and room didn't have a safe which made us carry our valuable belongings at all times.

However the coffee was terrible, like hot mud water. No coffee makers in the rooms but 24 hrs in the lobby. I had it for breakfast, when supposed to be fresh, couldn't drink more than 3 sips.

The room, beds and sink and bathroom area were cleaned very well all 3 days that we were there. The only problem was the carpeting in the bedroom was extremely dirty. We accidently spulled water on the carpet and needed to place a hand towel over the wet areas and when we pucked it up, it was black.

The staff was great. The room and breakfast was good. The problem was the bathroom. While everything is new and renovated, the bathroom is old and dysfunctional. The toilet flush did not work and when I reported it to the reception, a maintenance worker came to repair it. After that the toilet worked about 25% of the time. The water just kept running but did not fill the tank. It was late and we did not want another visit by the maintenance worker, so we just reached in the tank to close the flap manually if the water would not turn off by itself. If you are the owner of this hotel, I recommend making sure that the toilets are reliable. It's also obvious that the caulk around the bathtub needs to be replaced. It looks and feels neglected.

Well I want to be honest it appears someone tried to put lipstick on this pig, it’s obvious it’s old motel building that was completely repainted and got new carpets and new furniture. To but it bluntly it was a Half Ass attempt to renovate / renew this old building. Our bathroom door would bang into the ceiling light fixture every time you opened or closed the door. The towel rack is barely hanging on the wall I was afraid to touch it or hang a towel for fear it would fall off the wall. The calking around the tub and shower walls is missing about 12” of calming showing a big gap between the wall and tub. Many of the entry doors and doors to the rooms are in terrible shape and should have been replaced in the attempt to renovate this building. During our stay there was a group of people that returned to the hotel around 3 AM and were extremely loud and noisy, I tried numerous times to call the front desk to ask them to quite the drunks so I could try to fall back to sleep…..My advice is Hilton….take your name off that building.

Everything we needed with great value, the whole hotel was well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area is so relaxing even has a bar area to watch games and order drinks. The pool was heated and the jacuzzi was nice and hot. Just a shirt drive to the beaches and village. Beds are comfortable and the large TV was very nice.

Firstly, the microwave is in the main dining which is used by hotel guests. Microwave and safe lock was not in the hotel room. Having the microwave used by the public and entire hotel guests is a health violation. My hotel key card locked me out of the room during the night and into the morning hour. I am requesting a refund.

Front desk employees were amazing !! However the cleaning staff was extremely rude. We had been sneezing all night and we asked if they could do a deep cleaning of the room. She had told us no, and then five minute later she knock on our door and came in started cleaning the room as we were trying to get ready. I really wanted to like my stay. I am a huge Hilton fan. My job requires large amounts of travel, so I frequent hotels, specifically Hilton. I was thrilled to stay in the spark in Siesta key. Unfortunately, my stay was not as pleasant as I would’ve liked. The linens were dirty, roaches in the bathroom, and lack of towels. As I had only three days and a jampacked schedule with my family, I was hoping that the cleaning staff would come in and clean the roaches off the floor and perhaps change the linens, but unfortunately, they did not. Since I’m not a complainer, I didn’t go to the front desk and request new linens, because I kept hoping that maybe the cleaning staff will come by the next day and give me more towels, clean the dead roaches off the floor, and clean the room more efficiently. The cleaning staff certainly did come in and take my old towels, but that was the extent of any cleaning that happened. The roaches stayed on the floor in the bathroom. That actually shocked me, considering Hilton hotels are always held in such high regard, and I’ve had such amazing experiences in them. Although I frequency as a key, I will not be choosing spark in that area again. I will give it one more chance if I come upon another spark Hilton in another area of my travels.

Love this hotel! Pool area is great with pool bar and hot tub in a tropical setting. Clean and comfy rooms. Walkable to Siesta beach (1 mile) and many restaurants. Free shuttle to beach. Have chairs and umbrellas you can borrow. Can rent a beach towel for $5! Continental breakfast. Only drawbacks: The hot tub spa is not working. The breakfast does not offer many choices.

Everything was great for the most part! Everything was clean, staff was super duper nice and the area was great, tons of good food options nearby. We did have an issue with ants in our room one night, granted I did leave an apple juice out on accident (they loved it) but still a little unnerving they can get in like that. Also, the yogurt machine at breakfast was broken 2 of our 3 mornings, as well as the coffee cups not having lids, so that was pretty inconvenient as I couldn’t take any coffee in our rental car. Lastly, the bar closed like 20 minutes early the one night, which I get but if it’s advertised till 9 it should stay open until 9, we would’ve gone down earlier if we knew it was gonna close early. Those are just nitpicky things tho, we loved our stay and would come again!

The hotel was actually a nice place. The bar at the pool was nice the rooms were nice and the location was great. The only issue we had was the bed was garbage it was so broken down and you could feel the springs and could barely sleep. The only other thing was I wished they had a hot breakfast

The old air conditioner was very noisy. The room is so small, and the bed cover was old and damaged. The carpets were wet and smelled bad. This was our second and last visit there.

The hotel is very close to the beach and many restaurants. Breakfast was decent. The only thing that hotel needs to spruce it up is get rid of the carpet inside and outside of the rooms. We enjoyed our stay either way and will definitely be back.

Main problem was that the water temperature in the shower is extremely inconsistent and constantly drastically changes. It will go from a comfortable temperature for a minute then it will gain the ability to evaporate tungsten, wait 30 seconds and it'll be absolute zero.

I think it would be good to have some bacon or fruits. The hotel was clean, beds were confortable and most important the sheets and pillows didn't smell like dry sweat. Rooms were clean. I recommend this hotel if you are passing by and it's really closed to siesta beach. Very convinient.

When I checked-in, the front desk and evening desk attendant, both were pleasant and friendly, provided great information and answered, no matter how many questions I had...LOL The breakfast was good, next time hopefully, they'll add some Hot breakfast meats to their menu!!

I loved my stay. The staff were very accommodating, polite and professional. Especially Andrew, Kanyjah and Alison. We arrived early and our room was not ready Andrew and Alison did everything possible to make our wait pleasant. They stored our luggage and offered us beach umbrellas so we can spend time at the beach during our wait. When we got back Kanyjah recommended an excellent restaurant for us to dine in. All were so polite.

While you were misrepresented on Expedia, what you had was enough for our stay. What struck me first was how clean everything felt. With that came trust. The next thing, how nice all the staff were----including the cleaning staff. I was very impressed and would stay there again.

Breakfast was not as good as Fairfield Inn which was cheaper. Music playing at Breakfast was loud and hard rock/metal which is too much for early morning. Bathroom was small. Pool was nice, but hot tub was scalding hot and jets were broken. Road noise from motorcycles. Will not stay here again.

I like this Sparks hotel in Sarasota and will probably stay again as it is in a central location to everything. I stayed in an accessible room that was clean but the mattress was too soft for stability when getting out of bed, the refrigerator was less than half the size of a dormitory frig and it was on the floor which made it difficult for a 78 yr old person with medical issues to retrieve items. Breakfast was from 6:00 - 10:00 and the breakfast items and coffee were constantly refilled and plenty of seating. All hotels should have breakfast ending at 10:00! Didn't get to use the pool but the area was very clean and had a bar.

Honestly, was very disappointed with the hotel and room given it’s a Hilton property. Pictures online made it seem normal and nice. Hotel itself gave motel vibes, very outdated with carpet on the outside hallway. Room had a weird smell. AC made the room feel cool while on but once it was off it felt like there was no ac circulating. Floors stained and my son found a dead bug. Shower curtains gross. They were cloth like and dirty stained. Countertop of bathroom sink area stained with like rust marks. Pillows flat as if they were filled with air. Just overall poor experience and not what I expected.

This place is wonderful. Its clean and the pool and tiki bar is awesome. Staff are very pleasant. Keep in mind, breakfast is continental ( bagels, boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, and coffee.) Theres no full breakfast but alot of places around the hotel to eat.

It's a shame that my wife and I had an unpleasant experience during the first night of August 30th. When we went to bed, my wife noticed a strong, unpleasant smell of urine. At first, we thought it was from the sheets, but the bad smell was coming from the mattress, which had traces of urine on it. We even spoke to the lobby girl, and she was able to verify it herself. We were assigned another room, room 425. The lobby girl also informed us that due to this inconvenience, we would receive a discount for one night off. We think that management should take supervisory and control measures to prevent things like this from happening, as they leave a bad image of the hotel and the company. Regarding the rest of the hotel's operations, we found it to be quite good.
