Poor old lady who’s 70 years old was the housekeeper, I left a day early bc I had a situation and they didn’t gave me a sent back

I stayed at this hotel 3 other times rooms were great but this time not at all. I booked a 2 double beds she gave me one king she switched it to two double beds but when I got to the room the floors were filtey and full of small dead bugs smelled like pet pee and AC wasn't on and wasn't working well very hot and humid in this room. In the bathroom toilet seat was rusty and peeling mold in bathroom on top wall also blankets on bed had holes. I'm very disappointed I went back to tell the lady in the office she said she was not going to switch my room. I'm so sad the man that works in that office during the day much nicer.

The staff was very nice and we're accommodating to each concern I had regarding my room. The front door was rotting and there were gaps between door and door frame. There was only 1 lock which anyone could break and enter the room. They had no ice machine, mattresses outside the units, which were there for 2 days. The A/C was a small wall unit that didn't put out cold air.

Bathrooms are remodeled. Floor tiles. It seems the owner is trying to improve things. No breakfast. The problem is that the building is old. You can see the owner is trying to improve things, like bathrooms and floor tiles, but the fridge is rusted, the TV is damaged, because the colors are not good, and the image is pixelated. And the worst things are beds. The sheets are stained and dirty. We saw human hair on those.

Here is why this review is so bad: this property has bed bugs. We found live ones walking around between the mattress and the box spring of the room. I have never seen nor experienced a more dirtier place in my life. It doesn’t even deserve a single star but that’s the lowest I can do. I am doing this only because I don’t want another father daughter to stay in a place this dirty. The bathroom door doesn’t close because it’s all crooked and broken. That’s not the worst! The water that comes out of your faucet smells like sewer. Imagine trying to wash your face with that. Trying to sleep is almost impossible. The doors feel like they are not there at all and all you hear is traffic outside. Then I set on the bed an it folded in half, my feet were hanging in the air. Me and my daughter were crying and laughing at the same time. The front desk is a little box and right outside there is a shelf about 5 feet and that’s your breakfast area. One guy was standing there eating something and I had to avoid bumping into him. They have this little stickers warning signs covering the little glass board separating the front desk and where you stand with bunch of rules. Lady that worked there gave me the scariest look I have ever received. Her dress code is sad and I feel bad even trying to describe her presence. Man who checked us in was nice but good lord he also looked the same as I checked in when we checked out next day around 10! All I can say is. I will stay a way from places like this and I will never trust the pictures that are posted.

I’ve been coming for the last 2 almost 3 years as we were closing on a house and I still have work in the area so I book occasionally depending on cost. I had an accident prior (early menses due to stress) and I should have thrown out the towel because housekeeping (which is just one particular old Karen) has always found a problem whenever I’m there. I’ll come late, leave early, don’t even use the shower most times & yet there are dirty towels. I’ve been bitten on two visits in Room 16 by little red insects. They leave Me itchy, red, with swollen skin all over my body (mostly back, butt and legs). Last visit I was told because of the towel, he got in trouble so I was blacklisted. I won’t be back anyways. Robin is great.

I normally don’t leave reviews but I wanted to shout this place out. I was a lil remiss to stay here do to some of the reviews but I’m also cheap when I’m working on the road. This place and the people that work here are great. Yes the place is older and has that old school Florida motelllll vibe when you pull up. It definitely seems to be family run but the gentleman that checked me in was very nice 50$ cash deposit and a real key to the room. Inside it was perfect. Window unit worked great had the room cold in no time and most importantly it was clean. Room looked newer on the inside that the outside. Again it was everything I needed it to be clean, cold quiet no bugs of any kind like some had mentioned. Shower had great pressure and was hot. If you’re looking for the high amenities stay and at the Westin. If your looking for clean cheap just to sleep this is your spot.

The front desk lady was rude and couldn’t look like she hated her life more. There was so many signs and little rules all over the plastic hanging between you and front desk. Most importantly being that you have to call them 5 minutes before you check out so they can come up to the room and look at it. By the way, there is no phone in the rooms. Thankfully, the front desk person in the morning was very nice and told me not to worry about it. I think he was the owner. We got a physical key and it didn’t lock the deadbolt, just the handle. The door locking mechanism was wobbly and had definitely been kicked in before. Didn’t feel very safe there, though nothing happened. Honestly, if I had known they had weekly rates, I wouldn’t have stayed here. I was also surprised that there weren’t any bugs in my room. That’s not something you’re usually happy about at a hotel. Earlier and later check in and check out than normal so that was nice. And the AC was on the far wall where the closet was, as far from the bed as you could get. It was so hot in there that we decided to leave it going, then get something to eat and hoped it cooled the room down by the time we got back.
