The third floor and the room had very high humidity levels. The AC vents were full of dust. The bathroom was very old and not well-maintained. Pillows were terrible. Breakfast was okay.

However check out staff was not very accommodating like other hotels that we have stayed out.

Super quick and helpful staff. Even gave us ear plugs. Breakfast was adequate but ran out of French toast and some other items before we got down there. Rested well and thankful for location right across from airport after late night arrival.

The A/C was not working. Reception was contacted, and they stated that there was nothing they could do because the staff responsible would not arrive until the next day. They advised me to speak with the manager, who was also unavailable both the night assistance was requested and the following morning. A message was left because they said the manager would contact me, but I never received any response at all.

Big clean room, easy to find the hotel and the surrounding area was quiet and safe. We heard no aircraft noise in the hotel. Although the breakfast tasted ok we felt a larger choice of cooked food would of been nicer and the fridge in the room was very noisy when it came on.

Check in and check out was a breeze, staff at both instances were spot on customer service professionals. Breakfast offered something for anyone to enjoy and was appreciated. A/C worked amazing and kept me just right all night. My only concern was both the sink and the bathtub were draining very slowly. At one point the shower was around my ankles, that’s not acceptable, sink held about 1/3 a bowl before having to turn off faucet. I was in room 209 for reference on May 8th. Lastly the porcelain tub was showing a good section of rusting on the outer wall up and over to the drain. Overall I wouldn’t have mentioned any of this but at $269 price point I expect not to have these issues.

Our stay at the Hyatt was excellent! We created our own hiccups, but the Hyatt staff handled the situation with grace and humor. Our adventure started Wednesday. Originally our plan was to drive from Ohio to somewhere in northern Florida, spend the night, get up early Thursday and finish our drive to Sarasota. About 7 hrs into our drive hubby decided he was going all the way to Sarasota in one shot and wanted to stay at the Hyatt both nights. We called the hotel and a second night was booked and paid for. Upon check in I was charged a $190 incidental fee.

Didn’t love the shower set up though. The bathroom got so wet

The room is clean. We have an issue with the bathroom/shower. I don't know who designed this shower area, but it is bad. The glass panel to cover the shower area only covers about 2/3; as a result, every time we shower, the water just splashes all over the bathroom area. If you shower for more than 10-15 minutes, it is literally the water flooded the bathroom floor. It is so bad that each person wasted 2-3 bath towels to dry up the bathroom floor.

I had a lovely stay at the Hyatt Sarasota Airport hotel. It serves my needs perfectly now that Ive moved my mom into assistive living I come once/month. I had the most disturbing interaction with one of their night front desk people that caused me to double lock my door and call the hotel to let them know that the person representing their hotel that evening was hostile and unstable. I spent 3 hours trying to get some help - on the phone and both chat options. 3 days later I've heard nothing from the hotel. So I basically stayed at a hotel where I paid a lot of money to be bullied by their staff. (ONE woman - the rest of the staff was top notch). I'm appalled by what went down and how my concerns went completely ignored. I will never stay at a Hyatt again. DISGUSTING, INAPPROPRIATE, HOSTILE and AGRESSIVE. nice hospitality (sarcasm)

The breakfast was well above average for a free hotel bfast! The staff was incredibly friendly an helpful. We enjoyed early check in and late check out.

Our room was by the back entrance and it was so noise with the banging of the door and people talking. I think they were going out to smoke. I told them at the front desk in the morning and she stated that they have a lot of complaints on that room.

The gentleman at the front desk are fantastic! We thought by being a Hyatt hotel it would be more luxurious but the rooms are good size.

The front staff was helpful but, I was followed by one of the janitors while going to my room because he wanted to know if I was “married”. Not only is that inappropriate but, luckily I was not travelling along as that would make me feel VERY unsafe, more than it already did. Secondly, there was a roach that I discovered in the bathroom. We immediately packed our stuff and left. They were small roaches at that which indicates that there is an infestation. That makes me not only feel queasy but also just unsanitary as a whole.

We had a problem with getting the shuttle to pick us up at the airport to take us to the hotel. The desk person forgot to send the shuttle right after I requested it. We waited over a half an hour, so I called again. We finally got the shuttle. Everything else was fine.

They did not have our reservation I made through hotels.com. And upon leaving we were charged again by hotel a higher price on top of having already paid for the 2 day stay through hotel.com.

From the start of my entry to Hyatt Hotel I was so impressed and happy! the property is beautiful, the room was big and cozy like home! Breakfast was delicious, the pool was heated the hot tub hot and the front desk agents were so helpful! my stay was amazeing and I will be back, your super close to the airport and your shuttle driver was so nice, thank you Hyatt team for a wonderful birthday and a wonderful hotel stay!

Upon checking into our room, we found beard trimmings in the bathroom sink, and the floor near the bed felt sticky and not properly cleaned. Additionally, while the property is described as recently remodeled, the room—particularly the shower—appeared outdated and did not reflect a recent renovation. Overall, this felt more aligned with a $150-per-night hotel, not what we experienced at this rate.

Helpful staff, convenient location, some issues with housecleaning (forgot to clean one day, and another day, they just changed out the towels). The bed was too soft. The air conditioning unit was very loud at night. The outside speaker by the pool was on all night, right next to our window.

My daughter and I stayed there to attend a ballet audition and during the stay, we both received an excellent service from the staff. The breakfast is great as well and very close to the airport and ballet studio. I recommend this place!

2.Electric cords hanging under the desk which is a fire hazard. 3.Scratches on doors of bath room and inter door. This should be painted since this is a renovated hotel. 3.Bathroom is too tight and small. 4.Didn’t like the layout of the bathroom. Sink should have been enclosed with toilet and shower. No privacy. 5. Needs a microwave. 6. Not enough charging stations. 7. The door to the bathroom is awkward. You have to step into bathroom in order to close the door. 8. House keeping did not come to clean room. We had to ask for clean towels and then only to receive less face towels. 9. One of queen beds is too close to the partition, making it difficult to get out of the bed on one side. 10.Breakfast was just ok, nothing special. Two good things: maintenance man quickly replace frig; and desk clerk offered cookies when I missed both cookie times. 9. This hotel is a 2 masquerading as a 3. I will remember not to stay here again.

Breakfast was good and workers there were pleasant. Your manager should be replaced. She was asked to pick up my friend at airport after turning in car at a specific time. She was not busy and never showed up. My friend had to walk from airport back to hotel. she lied and said she went past the spot several times but my friend wasn’t there. Same problem with her on day we checked out. We requested shuttle time. Never showed. She said it was “broke down” When driver arrived we quickly hopped on. He had 4 new stocked new pizzas on front seat. When he drove us to airport, he apologized saying, “I had nothing to do with the pizzas.” They were for her. Shows she does not care for hotel guests…just herself. 2 lies in 2 days. You have a nice hotel. A great location. You have several good workers but the woman manager needs to be replaced.

The room was clean, but the fan was blowing directly on the closest bed, so we changed rooms. That room was on the second floor and fan was better. There was a soccer tournament, and teams were staying there. is there some way they could the teams together and not put guests in the group of rooms nearby. All we heard at night was doors slamming and kids talking loudly. We stayed there 4 nights and didn't sleep well the first 2 nights. It was a food location and the brekfast was good.

The floor felt a bit dirty but if you wear flip flops or house shoes “it doesn’t matter”. The shower and caulking around the shower had rust that made it a little bit cringy and unwelcoming. My boyfriend said that the gym was enough for what he needed. Was happy that the treadmills went up to 14 as he has long legs and can move that fast. The free breakfast was fantastic to our standards. Our stay overall was great and enjoyable for its purpose. Great location as well.

The room has a lot of space and the location is right across from the SRQ airport, so very convenient before your flight. However, both the coffee machine and TV in the room did not work. The small refrigerator was turned off completely and when we realized this and turned it on it was too loud. This was close to bedtime and disturbed our sleep, so we had to turn it off, making it useless and our food spoiled overnight.

Staff were not very knowledgeable and I asked for extra blankets for the pull out bed and they said there wasn’t any. Sleeping with just sheets was interesting. Breakfast was less than desirable but the stay overall was okay.

The inside of the hotel looked like it was recently remodeled as everything looked new. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was pleased with the experience of staying there.

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. Upon receiving the room and using the shower, there were 2 options - scalding hot or cold. We immediately notified the agent at the front desk who said that he was aware of the problem as guests had complained of the same problem earlier. (Why we were given this room if they were aware of the problem is beyond me). We were then given a king room, as there were no double queen rooms available. The king room was significantly smaller and located next to the back door, where guests entered and exited until very late and early in the morning. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was a scramble with nowhere to sit and many things had run out- basics like milk & cereal! There also wasn’t sufficient cutlery! Staff on duty didn’t care less & was reluctant to help! It was a shame as staff at check in were lovely!

Sheets were damp and pull out bed had hair and crumbs on it, as well as no additional sheets or blankets in the spare sheet bag. Won’t be staying at this location again. Unfortunate. They started that would tell maintenance about the AC but we ran into the maintenance person and after chatting, he was unaware of the issue.

No dresser in room, with 3 people sharing a room it was difficult to manage clothing. Would have liked a walk in shower.

The room was clean, and when it was cleaned during my stay it was spotless. Duringy stay our key reader stopped working and front desk handled that issue beautifully! They helped us as fast as they could and were very kind.

Zero maid service and we were there three days. Had to haul out our own trash and ask for clean towels. Other customers just left trash out in the hallway. Walls are thin and very noisy hotel. Would not stay there again.

This is my go to hotel whenever I’m visiting Sarasota. I’ve been coming to this hotel for over 10 years and it’s like a vacation for me every time, even though it’s not a vaca. it seemed to have been renovated recently, which I absolutely love love love. Friendly staff, as usual.

Our family stayed at Hyatt Place to attend and participate in our granddaughter/niece/cousin's Bat Mitzvah. We had a great stay. The hotel service was wonderful! We were checked in by the assistant manager, Laquandra, and she was wonderful and very accommodating. Cherie at breakfast each morning was awesome. She was so courteous and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our breakfast. Cherie is the epitome of outstanding service. She greeted us with a smile each morning, checked on us frequently and brought refills of our drinks. She really made our stay. The room was spacious but lacking adequate hanging due to 4 women, all with long fancy dresses, sharing a room. There is a nice pool area where you can sit and relax in the sun. The hotel is directly across from the entrance to the Sarasota airport which was very convenient. It was also within 20 minutes drive of all the places that we visited for the weekend festivities, including the beach. I would stay there again next time we visit.

Hotel room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Hallways could use a little more attention with vacuuming of the carpet. The pool area was nice but were unable to sit out in the chairs due to numerous bees. We did not utilize the breakfast service since we checked out at 4am. Maybe a small snack and coffee for those departing early.

The property was clean and safe and the staff were caring and accommodating. The general manager, Rosezetta Fitzgerald-Miller went out of her way to provide us with great care and made myself and my daughter and 8, 6 and 4 year old grandchildren comfortable. This hotel provides a professional and caring staff with a clean and comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious and the outdoor pool was nice. Thank you Ms. Fitzgerald-Miller and the staff at the Hyatt for excellent service and care.

The stay for my family and I was a perfect one. The check in was extremely easy and and the front desk clerk Ricky was awesome and very helpful! Also Ashley was pleasure to work with! We will stay again on our next visit to Sarasota!!! Thank you so much!

Was enticed to stay here due to the Hyatt name and all the outstanding reviews but this hotel is very similar to other 3 star hotels. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The AC was right next to the bed and made it hard to sleep. The breakfast was okay. The website says there is a restaurant that offers lunch and dinner but no such thing. I can find similar stay elsewhere for less.

The property was clean updated and close to places

The property itself is outdated. The elevator does not work, you will need call front desk to send the elevator up to floor 2 and up. I stayed for 5 days and could barely received one day of housekeeping service, because they forgot my room and they don’t offer housekeeping after 5pm.

Customer service was excellent! The central location was very good as well. The bathroom was a little uncomfortable. The door was very large to accommodate possibly a wheelchair, but to be able to enter and close the door was very tight.

This hotel was perfect for my family of four. The staff were extremely welcoming. Breakfast had hot choices and coffee was good as well. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a great value for what I paid. The room was very large and welcoming. The only problem was that there was no cold water in the shower, other than that was a great room and I would recommend it.
