I felt it was a good value, since our room included a separate living area. Breakfast was included. Kids commented on how nice the room was. The pool area includes a large hot tub. We would definitely stay here again.

A very good place. We slept soundly. The coffee was delicious—from a machine (anyone who appreciates that will understand!). The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were great. We asked to extend our check-out time by two hours, and they didn't turn us down. After reading previous reviews, I’d say either they’ve done some renovations, or we’re simply not as picky; but out of all the places we stayed during the last two weeks of our trip, this was one of the best rooms.

I became alarmed two days after our stay when I noticed the $100 dollar deposit was still showing on my credit card account. My alarm caused me to call the hotel twice, and the staff wasn’t very reassuring that the deposit would be returned. The $100 deposit finally dropped from our credit card statement 6 days after our stay.

I booked a handicap room and when I arrived it was not available. The young lady at the front desk went above and beyond and was super friendly. The hotel room has full of love bugs and a couple of roaches and the ac sounded like a airplane getting ready to take of every time it came on. Was very disappointed in the hotel itself but staff was great.

Had a couple problems. Had reserved a handicap accessible room, there were none available when I arrived. They put me in another room, first floor, the bathroom had not been cleaned well. They moved me to the fourth floor. The room was fine but maneuvering the elevators and stuff was a pain in the butt. Breakfast looks ok, pancake machine was broken. I didn't really stay for it. Religion on the TV in the dining area on Sunday. I’m not in to religion esp televangelists and not everyone is Christian so it’s a big assumption to put that on. Maybe they should stay away from religion and politics. Staff was SO helpful and sweet. Even with all my little problems, they really made it ok. Great staff. Ricky, Yairelee and Morgan made the whole thing good. I would definitely give them another shot.

The room was duty! Bathroom, carpet, shower. Staff walked in room without knocking twice,extremely loud noise around 5 am right outside room .Breakfast was the only good thing of hotel.

Breakfast was running out of food between 08:40 -09:00, it was suppose to be open until 10:00. Tub had rust and toilet seat has a dark stain. Stains on the coach. Window had a big crack. You can hear noise traffic. Room was very spacious though. Room 416.

Breakfast was good, but the property needs a good handyman bathroom door was broken and the wall needs to be fixed and painted.

Tried to have breakfast abut 1/2 hr before closing, they were out of food and refused to fix anything for us We stayed a week, and didn’t eat breakfast. Changed my stay from 4 days to 7 days and they raised the price for us. That was not fair!

The room was full of roaches. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and left after one night because we were scared of bringing them home. Breakfast was decent. We were told that $100 were going to come back to our credit card after our stay and it came up they charged us $282.50. After we could finally contact them, the front desk girl didn’t know why they charged us that amount. They called me back in the afternoon stating that the $282.50 they charged me was because the TV had cat scratches and blamed us for damaging the property. We don’t have a cat, we don’t have babies, and we didn’t even turn on the TV as we only stayed one night and spent the whole time visiting the city. We just went to the hotel to sleep. Apparently they wanted to charge me for the terrible condition the room was already in. I had to call my bank to have my money back. TERRIBLE experience. BE CAREFUL SO THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN TO YOU

The hotel is small, but for me, that’s perfect—the fewer people, the better. The cleanliness was good, as was the service; the only thing they should improve is the breakfast, as it was quite meager. Otherwise, everything was cozy.

Pancake machine broken to my granddaughter’s disappointment. They ran out of boiled eggs. The room was fine. Beds and pillows comfortable. I appreciated that beds were made up and clean towels supplied everyday.

I booked a room with a king bed. When I arrived the room had 2 queen beds. I went to the main desk to let them know. I was told that they had a staffing issue and not all rooms were cleaned but she did assign a new room. This room also had two queen beds. I went to the desk again. She came to the room and stayed it was a king suite and the beds were both king. She was insistent. We stayed but were crunched in the one bed. When we checked out I also let them know what happened but they did not appear to be concerned. I will be calling yet today.

Stayed two weeks. Room serviced once. Repeated calls to ask for housekeeping. Finally started placing trash outside the door.

The safe in the room was opened in the locked position a maintenance person came and unlocked and left had a trial and locked with my own code couldn't open it. Other than that everything was fine. i did inform the lady at desk of these problems when checking out

The tub in my room was in horrible condition. Badly stained and mold around the drain made me decide to use rubber flip flops while showering. I did not notice it until the day after I arrived when I prepared to shower. I had a tight schedule and had already settled in so I did not have time to get a new room, but I did take pictures.

Our shower was extremely hot and could not cool down at all. I expressed this concern to the front desk and they were appreciated but did not take any money off of our nights stay.

Staff- well we had a cleaning lady go into our room, even do we have the sign on the door saying we didn’t want any room service and yet she still went in not do clean anything because our towels were not changed, neither the trash. But she decided to go into my purse and stole $200 cash… the hotel manger Morgan was very unprofessional, we never wanted to show face to speak to us, she actually thought we were lying but the way we noticed someone had gone into the room was because the A/C vent were the temperature goes the lid was closed when we got back to our room and we ever close it. So we did a police report and the manager Morgan Checked to see who had gone into our room and they ended up finding someone that did go and that person got fired. Jason was very kind, he gave us a free room and addition to that $300 of credit, that at the end of the day, that’s still not much for all of that inconvenience. But overall don’t stay in this hotel people, cause I will not.

The room was dirty and furniture old and stained

The bathroom is small with door opening right to the toilet. No room to have any room to get dressed in front of the mirror etc. Maid service was not good as bed was not made up well and trash was dumped daily. When it was the large can was left in the middle of the floor. We were here for a week due to my mother’s funeral would have appreciated better room cleaning. Also, breakfast might come with the room but set up is terrible as it is a u shape and can’t hold more than a couple people at a time. It was frustrating as everyday it was crowded!!

The rooms were NOT clean, nor cleaned the 3 days we were there, mold in corners of the bathroom and on shower curtain, floors were filthy, showerhead leaked. Bfast was good. Staff tried. Parking was very limited.

The whole hell felt damp, the hallway leading up to our room as well as inside our room smelled like marijuana. The staff seemed to just be there, but more into chatting with each other. The room itself was dirty. The housekeeper came in or room early in morning when checkout wasn’t for hours. We’re even had the do not disturb on the door and she came in anyway. Will never stay here again or recommend it, in fact I’ll share not to stay here.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. But it was cold, temperature was set at 68 degrees. We were unable to set it warmer and staff we called could not help, so we just turned the system off. Breakfast was adequate but I would have appreciated some freshly made oatmeal and some hard boiled eggs. Oatmeal packets are unpleasant and I’m dairy free so I could not eat the omlets. My husband said the omlets were just “OK” and not “made to order “.

Room was disgusting, and they never cleaned the room just replaced towels. Staff seemed bothered and annoyed every time they had to give us new room keys when they would stop working every other day on a ten day stay.

Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly. We were able to find parking. The hotel was convenient for us to visit family in the area. It was tucked far enough off back the main road that it was quiet at night as well. We will look to book this property again in the future.

The reason I tried to use the phone was because at 9:45 PM people were running up and down the halls yelling and banging. I tried calling the front desk using my cell phone and an outside phone number. I tried multiple times and let the phone ring 15" times. No answer. I called reservations and they too tried to call multiple times but never any answer. Housekeeping never emptied my trash. Housekeeping evidently came on day 3 and took my used bath towel, washcloth and bath mat (didn't empty the trash which was very full) but never replaced them so the morning of check out I had no washcloth or bath mat. I found a rather large toenail clipping in the bed that was of course not mine.

Our stay was creepy and gross. We checked in at 11:30pm and as soon as we walked into the lobby, it looked like a "one star" low budget hotel. Our bed was ok and offered decent sleep. The carpet had few large dark stains. I get that it's a hotel, so you will hear people talking and walking in halls. I even woke up in the middle of the night and heard a lady next door making "noises," if you know what I mean. Before we left our room in the morning, the lawn maintenance was blowing leaves outside at 8:30am. Good thing we didn't try to sleep in. For breakfast we had cereal and yogurt. You can't go wrong with those. My husband had a bite of the eggs and said it tasted like cardboard. I can't believe we paid $152. We had a better stay at DoubleTree for $115 and that was a one star hotel as well. We wouldn't stay again.

From the moment we arrived, the lobby was crowded, loud, and full of people drinking their own alcohol right out in the open in front of young kids. I had two teenagers with me, and honestly, it didn’t feel safe or appropriate. There were also groups of unsupervised teens yelling, pushing each other, and slamming doors and walls. Not exactly the welcome you hope for after a long drive. We booked two rooms. When we opened the first one, the nightmare began. The bed was filthy and undone, as if housekeeping never even touched the room. They moved us to the third floor, telling us we couldn’t get rooms close together if we wanted to move upstairs. The room we ended up in smelled like mold, but we were exhausted and didn’t want to deal with the lobby chaos again. The guy at the front desk mentioned the hotel had just been acquired and they “didn’t know what was going on.” Look, that’s not the guest’s problem, and it didn’t feel like they made much effort to keep things under control. The only person who showed absolute professionalism was the manager, Joe. He apologized and genuinely tried to help, but even with his efforts and free water, the situation remained horrible and worsened. Then

The condition of the room was extremely old. The pictures make it seem like they’re more on the remodeled side, but they are not. So many parts of the room had rust, especially behind the door of the bathroom. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was a good option. But the rooms are so worn out and smell unfortunately.

A/C unit was very loud, heater didn’t work in a very cold night. We turned of climate until, neighboring room also had loud unit their A/C was kept us awake. Management didn’t want to give us different room, even though they had rooms

Great breakfast

The breakfast was quite limited and included eggs, only with cheese the first day. There were few other breakfast food choices and no other protein was offered. Your pancake maker is slow and makes them too small, under cooked, and unappealing dough circles. The jacuzzi was worn out, and looked filthy. The pool area was horrible, decrepit and next to the parking lot. The whole place looked rundown and lacked any appeal. We recommend others strongly consider alternative accommodations, elsewhere where you will find a better and fresh hotel with good food and a front desk clerk who cares about impressing guests with wonderful hospitality. This place is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. Maybe corporate should reconsider who is running this property and possibly shut down this poor excuse for a hotel.

Our room had a weird smell. The bathroom door had the handle hanging off. The bottom of the bathroom door was lifted and looked wet. We could not stop sneezing my kids were stuffy. My husband said it could be mold in the room but not sure. There was hairs on the bathroom floor, the cushions were stained on the sofa bed, overall would not stay there again.

The shower tubs are curved and slippery. My son fell and hit his mouth and busted his lip open. All they do was send us to another room with the same issue. I will be getting an attorney for this issue. Plus there is neglect to property interior doors as you can see into the room from under the doors. This place has lots of issues plus breakfast staff are very rude and hardly speak English. That should be a priority when hiring people. That they know the language

The room was iffy. The carpets definitely need to be replaced, they were stained and just felt crusty. There were beer bottle caps left under the table from the previous guests. The hot water did not work for our first shower, it was ice cold!! My husband went to get in and brave the water and it was scorching hot and would not change. Booked on Expedia and chose the “pay at property option” (paid additional fees for that option) to pay cash, like we always do… and they said they “did not have a register and couldn’t accept cash” then proceeded to run my card I booked online with without asking or confirming that was the card i’d like to use.

The cleanliness and condition of the room did not meet the standards we expect from previous stays at Holiday Inn Express. The bottom of the bathtub was dirty, there were hairs around the bathtub and the sink. The sofa in the foyer had an unsightly tear in the upholstery.

What a nightmare! Spotted five roaches in less than 30 minutes. I was told to call the manager in the morning for a refund but she’s no where to be found. Person at the desk said no refunds if booked thru a 3rd party. Called the main number for Holiday Inn service and kept being transferred and hung up on. I will NEVER stay at another Holiday Inn!

The property was safe and close to US75. The room as cleaned and staff was attentive. However, during the week breakfast was until 9am and always served the same thing, most of the time we never made it. Also the tub was reglazed and had a weird indent where the water would collect in the middle. The shower head hardly had any water pressure. The mattress was ok.

Service was good at check-in. Check-out was bad

This hotel was decent. Good location. However i booked this hotel for the specific hot breakfast that was pictured. Biscuts n gravy and pancakes gets old daily. No bacon just turkey sausage that was disgusting. Thats my only complaint was the breakfast. Holiday Inn usually have the best breakfast selection. Parking was absolutely terrible also..... allowing people with boat and jet ski trailers to take up 4-5 spots left no spots for others staying needing to park.

Overall very clean and efficient operations. Our particular shower and significantly low pressure.

Bathtub drain is clogged, bathtub needs maintenance, door lock needs to be replace door doesn’t close, over all. Bathroom needs lots of work

Very clean

Bathroom tub can be replaced and the bathroom could use some rehabbing. The breakfast kitchen area is not conducive for large crowds.

The bed is perfect for rest after the day at the beach!!

The property was not well maintained — it was generally dirty, and the bathroom was in extremely poor condition. I have photos to document this. The tub was filthy, the ceiling was deteriorating and coming down, and the doors were damaged with rusted frames and hinges, among other issues.

The room is very clean

This hotel was chosen for the gym and breakfast. The gym was closed for a large segment of my week (7 nights) there, and they ran out of food at least 30 minutes before closing. Now, to be clear, they had food - they just did not cook any with 30 minutes to close, because it appears they wanted to clean up and get out. Not sure why this would be a problem passed on to hotel guests. To be fair, this is a frequent problem with Holiday Inn (cutting corners), as I had the same problem in Chicago and Detroit. Here, in Sarasota, the issue was made worse when the front desk person (Lourdes) stated that food was coming out, after she actually got up and spoke to them - but the food never came out - then she promised me "a credit" for the inconvenience, and no credit was provided. So, I am left with the impression that lying is acceptable to hotel guests - and to each other, as the kitchen staff promised Lourdes that food was coming out (and never did). Who is in charge here. Crazy. Bottom line ... do not trust the posted service hours, and plan to come early - or risk not eating. As for complaining ... good luck with that.

Spacious room and very clean

They ask you for a $100 deposit and they won't give it back to you.

Plug in wall was broken and furniture was rearranged to hide the issue-but then the sofa faced blank wall rather than the Television-so moved it ourselves and discovered why it was like that. However it did not affect our service or create a problem for us.

My a/c was leaking when i got there. Carpet was wet 3-4 ft away from a/c. They didnt seem to care. It was a lot worse when i left. They didnt event try to do anything about it.

Great stay

It was a great location. Very close to the interstate. Clean and comfortable room . The only complaint is the advertisement says access to off site gym facilities which is incorrect. They have a small gym on site with the necessities but I was expecting what was advertised so I was disappointed. Other than that everything was as expected.

It was perfect for a quick trip to the beach. The breakfast was awesome.

Everything was fine except I saw a bug crawling on the floor in the middle of the night in Room 132.
