The room was spacious and clean. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. It is a great option to stay few days in Sarasota.

The swimming pool has been filled with concrete, making it very difficult to get a dip at the end of a long trip.

The room was clean and I had no issues. Fairly nondescript but it was in a good location. Seem very safe in the area and was close to a lot of different things

Only thing is the a/c wasn't the best but kept the room comfortable. I also like it cooler so might be different for others. Shops and stores near by.

I had a very frustrating stay at Flamingo Inn in Sarasota. At check-in, I told the front desk that I had a service dog, and they said it was fine. When I entered the room, it was extremely hot and the A/C was not working. I had to go back to the office, and the manager came to the room and got the A/C running. After I brought all my belongings inside and began cleaning the room with sanitize wipes because it looks so dirty and outdated, then I discovered there was no water. I had to return to the office again and requested another room. by that point, the front desk staff appeared irritated, and there was no apology for the inconvenience. I had to move all my belongings back out to the vehicle and into a second room. The next morning, a housekeeper approached me very aggressively while I was taking my leashed service dog outside with waste bags. She yelled that dogs were not allowed to go potty on the property, and that I should take my service dog to the dog park or the street to go potty, even though no one told me that at check-in. The interaction was rude and upsetting. Before leaving, I cleaned the room thoroughly and took out all of the trash and even asked the manager to inspect the room so there would be no misunderstandings. I also told him how upset I was by the housekeeper's behavior. But he just made excuses. The second room was better, but the poor service and the way I was treated over my service dog left a very bad impression. I would not stay there again.

Pool closed. No ice machine but, owners provided ice. Loud traffic, air conditioning muffled noise some. I would stay again for a quick stay.

Surprisingly nice considering the cost. I don't typically go low end on my stays but at the hour I flew in to Sarasota and being the flamingo was close to a client I had to visit in the morning, this is where I stayed. Not the cleanest, not the most up to date, but was one of the better beds I've slept in any hotel this year so far. They actually have real size pillows and not those postage stamp size ones the chains have. No Frills but a cheap stay.

The staff was very friendly and it was relatively clean. The Inn has been there for a long time, so it’s by no means new, but overall it was clean and what you might expect from a his era motel. Turn the fan on and you can hardly hear the outside noise and planes at night

This is an older property, but very well maintained and loved. Rooms are upgraded and spotless clean and the owner was friendly and accommodating. Rooms could use some touch up paint job that is about. I will definitely stay here again.

old looking but clean. this time was awful !! if we weren't so exhausted and i had booked through the property instead of Expedia I would have turned around and left after seeing our room. The bed linens were clean and room smelled ok but the shoer had a huge clump of someone's hair in it and the bath mat looked like it was never cleaned, the bathroom door was rotted and dirty looking, the toilet seat was gross and numerous other issues. we left a day early, but because we booked through Expedia we lost that money for 7th day.

I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt based on it being a motel but had higher reviews than other hotels nearby. But the photos and reviews were very deceiving. The room smelled moldy and the upholstery was skeptical and looked dirty. Even though the few staff i saw were nice..the experience was yuck.

Great Vintage motel with wonderful owners!

I stayed a couple nights, an older hotel that has some updated been done. On a busy street but walkable stores restaurants bars. I ate at a restaurant across the street that’s walkable.

This no frills motel provided just what I wanted, a comfortable bed, very clean, no bad odors, quiet, friendly owner and housekeeper, and conveniently located near the airport. I will return.

Not a very good place to stay, should have spent more money to stay elsewhere. AC not on in room, then turned on but not able to cool down room, never stopped running but wasn't putting out cold air. Couple holes punched in walls and bathroom door, lousy shower head, no pressure.

There was no sign showing the name of the motel. I only knew it was the correct address by my GPS. The shower had mold and I did not feel safe taking a shower there.

This is a good budget-friendly option. Not a lot of frills. High traffic area, better for car travel than walking, not many dining options nearby.

Very nice place looks can be a little deceiving from the outside but definitely great in the inside. I had a back room. I loved the little patio in the back with the table and chairs as well. Will definitely visit there again.

What I liked most was that the staff were kind and loving.They respected my privacy and allowed me to rehearse uninterrupted.Sometimes I get loud when I rehearse because I am an entertainer.I really dont know if I am going to continue pursuing entertainment.It is fun but all i really want is Love.When people show you love thats the most important thing to me especially from a business.Anyway #Hollywood out

The sign at the property was broken the door key did not always work 2 fire extinguishers were out of date there were broken bricks everywhere and things such as loose wires its all good it doesnt take much to please me I am happy just having a roof over my head but i could see these things being problems for future customers.

The manager was very helpful and the property was clean. The hotel is old and shows its age.

Great location for our scuba diving trip to the Blue Heron Bridge. Only complaints were toilet was acting up and water took several minutes to get hot. Oh and the pillows were hard. Would stay again but would bring our own pillows. Great staff. Very friendly.

Hotel was full of mole had to call health department on them was sick coughing all night long couldn't sleep had to leave full and this is a health hazard. Hotels.com should close this place down.

Overall our stay was fine. The staff member was friendly and worked hard to make sure we had what we needed in the room. There is no pool but that was a non-factor for us. The room was a bit dated but nice and clean and well maintained. The location was great being within driving distance of major area attractions. We would return next time we are in the area.

These owners are the best. Very personable and helpful. I spent two different nights with them after the two hurricanes. Would highly recommend this cute inn to others. The price is right.

The manager was very helpful when I had a car problem. I was there 3 nights and everything was fine - clean, quiet, great restaurant across the street. Not modern but well maintained

For starters the door had to be lifted and pulled shut .makes the windows rattle and the room to the right of us the windows ratteled like they were going to break . The air conditioner knobs no longer worked took me 10 minutes to finally get the ac setting working. Then we needed the heat cause the window's were old and very drafty it was 59 degrees out side couldent get heat to work due to striped knobs. Room had a lot of unfinished things like hole around light fixture in bath and. around outlets . And holes in wall above curtains . Lamp on left side of bed was lose from base and wobbled when touched. And to top it off no internet and asked 2 times and the 2nd time i was told its not the hotels issue and it was comcast . And no rush to fix it . The pool was sealed up and they fail to mention its located in an unsafe area. We used the vending machine and bought a Twix and it was white, powdery and fell apart in the package. Clearly its very old. No ice machine. The price was outrageously high for the quality and location of the motel. We booked it with Hotels.com which recommended thats a while other issue.

What startled me tho was a discoloration on the comforter that looked like something bad happened. The manager came to my room and confirmed it was clean, just a dye misprint from the time it came out of the package. I was hoping for a swap of comforters or even a sheet to put over it since the appearance was very disturbing. At least I knew it was clean & could put it inside out so I didn’t have to look at it. The sheets were old, stained and had cigarette burns. At least they were clean. However they were so old and over washed over time that they were clingy, very uncomfortable. The pillow itself was old and smelled like dirty scalp. The odor kept me up. Instead of checking out, I decided to purchase sheets & pillows to use there & then take home. That helped a lot. Next issue: toilet paper. Day one, a little over half a roll of budget paper, no spare roll. I figured they would at least provide a spare roll when they cleaned the room. They didn’t. Morning of day 3, we ran out. Good thing I had a package of tissues in my bag. I left a note asking for more TP & they did provide a new roll & a spare. Last issue: hard powdered coffee creamer all 3 days. Overall I felt a lack of hospitality.

There is no pool. The room was clean but the phones in the rooms were not working. The mini fridge freezer was not cold enough to make ice. The packages with sweetener and powdered cream were so old the “cream” was hard.

I appreciated. The bedding was like mine from home. There was a beautiful water color painting above my bed and the shower was a cool retro Florida thing. They were quiet. It was refreshing and cafe italia arabica coffee, Central American decaf & black tea stocked w/ cute apple fragrance Salon Selectives bath stuff which I hadn’t seen in awhile

So the reasoning for me giving the staff and property condition one star is I'm a heavy set female and over the last year and my spouse have been staying in hotels around Sarasota I've never had a hotel complain that I broke their bed when it came time for them to send me back my $100 deposit granted my spouse went and ready to room earlier on in the day to surprise me with being able to see him when I did arrive and he took my ID to the office they mentioned to him that the last room that we stayed in they need their deposit back because I broke their bed why would you give me my deposit back and then wait until we visit again to then tell me you broke our bed your when I left now the room that my husband is in is 111 and him being skinnier male maybe about 150 the bed's cracking and popping. This place is doing everything possible to keep the deposits or make you pay extra so my opinion is if you're a heavy set don't stay here because they will accuse you of breaking their beds because the beds they have aren't sturdy I didn't even stay the night with my husband I sit in the chair for a few hours watch TV with them wouldn't even lay down on the bed next one because the bed isn't sturdy and I wasn't getting on it and getting accused of breaking the bed again when I didn't even break the first damn one

The pool is filled in with concrete. No hair dryer in the room. The owners seemed pleasant. It just is what it is.

I always prefer to have grab bars in the shower and this property did not have them.

Vlean horel a in a decent neighborhood

Staff was rude and told me to check out and check back in at 3pm in order to extend my reservation, when the day prior i was not told to do that. Maintenence gentleman was constantly walking around making sure you didn't have any guest, pretty much felt like you were under constant surveillance. Front desk lady screamed at me in the morning for smoking outside my room, and told me i needed to go inside. For what? Her next words were unintelligible to say the least. Id say for a few more bucks go anywhere else!!!

I took a Lyft from the bus station (10 miles) and was able to walk to the airport from the hotel with my backpack (1 mile). There are a couple restaurants within 1/2 mile. There was also a grocery store and convenience store nearby. The room was very clean. Plenty of towels, soap, conditioner, ...etc. Free wifi. Cable. microwave mini fridge. Easy/friendly check in/check out. A nice family owns and operates. I would stay here again.

It was a dump! We moved to a better hotel! Run down and no amenities! You should remove this location from your web site! The lady we dealt with at the Flamingo was lovely and accommodating! We did pay a late cancellation fee!!

Worst room we have ever had for ober $200 . Computer went down at check-in so we had to wait forever to accomplish. Air conditioning wasn't on & when we turned it on terribly terribly noisy. Can't believe I stayed there

Staff was fine, nothing to report there. The room though was rather sketchy, a big piece of furniture blocking the door to the other room and a small hollow door on the ground. No pool to speak of, and just didn’t feel very safe

I had no issues with my stay at this property. The AC worked great, the room was clean and the shower was hot. This is a low budget hotel but the staff was friendly and it definitely met all my needs. I will be back if I am ever in the Sarasota area again.

Great and friendly staff, very clean, and comfortable rooms. The downside: it is really hard to sleep in this place. Lots of noise from trucks and motorcycles and police on the large road passing by, also from the parking lot which is right below the room. No curtains, hence the room is also quite bright at night.
