A great girls night out, we did not eat on the property, but enjoyed the pool and clean beds!

Once in the room, it was clear the hotel is in serious need of renovation. There were visible cracks in the walls, the shower had very poor water pressure, and the toilet frequently splashed water back when flushed. The room also lacked proper blackout curtains, making it difficult to sleep due to the amount of light coming in. The room itself showed significant wear and tear, and the overall condition of the hotel felt run-down. The pool appeared outdated and heavily treated with chemicals. After swimming, my black bathing suit noticeably faded, and it still retained a strong chemical smell even after being washed. The view from the room overlooked a neglected parking lot, and there was virtually no soundproofing. Despite staying on the top floor, I could hear traffic and passing vehicles throughout my stay. The exterior of the property was also poorly maintained, with visible clutter around the grounds. Most disappointing of all, the hotel's online photos do not accurately reflect its current condition. Based on my experience, I do not feel this property offers good value, and I would not choose to stay here again.

They were out of cookies the night we arrived and the next day. Very minor yes, but that’s part of the Doubletree experience.

Affordable rate, central location, surrounding not great.

They take quiet hours very strictly and will be knocking on your door if you are ever so slightly loud.

The room was clean. Breakfast was terrible and the front desk staff acted like I was an inconvenience. That the flag was flown upside down, the rudeness of the front desk crew and the breakfast was terrible.

I left in a rush I didn’t eat breakfast, maybe next time. I had an early flight to catch. I like the way they welcomed me from the television screen, that was a nice surprise. I didn’t like the on going construction, because I couldn’t find the entrance, the sign is faded and I got lost my gps took me somewhere else.

A lot of construction so it was loud. Housekeeping only comes every other day. Which is fine but I didn’t see where that was explained.

Room was every nice. Loved the separate living room and bedroom area. Had no big refrigerator but a small I guess you wood call a icebox. Was fin for some drinks and small lunch things. The coffee make was joke to me All the places i have stayed had at least a 3-4 cup kreurig pot this place had to give u coffee to brew and 2 per room if u needed more you have to get from the front desk or housekeeper. A microwave is fin for fast stuff but had to pay 20.00 a person for a good breakfast deal. Guess not bad for a close to area hotel

The place was just OK, the staff was helpful when needed, the location was perfect for what we needed, but the condition of the hotel was not great. The paint was peeling in the bathroom, and I found hair on most of the clean towels. I had to request new ones. The design was clean and modern but spares.

Very disappointing stay not worth the money: Broken TV on arrival, incomplete bathroom cleaning left towels laying on the toilet & floor and not replaced, overpriced $20pp for a mediocre breakfast which was advertised as included then staff unwilling/uninterested to help make remedy situation, noisy outdoor maintenance work at 7AM, poor lighting in bathroom, dirty looking rug, tilted lamp & shade, and they charge $3 for water in room.

Front desk receptionist was great and gave us warm cookies so good and very professional. It was a nice treat . The shower by the sauna was broke and the water pressure in the bathroom was terrible in the shower . The hotel alone and room was clean and updated very nice stay the fire pit really nice and the restaurant too

Avoid Room 405. This room should be converted into a storage. Above this room sounds like a laundry room and we hear loud spinning above us. Trying to sleep in? Forget it because it’s ongoing. We even recorded it and presented to front desk. The first time we heard it we thought it was a helicopter because it was so loud. Staff is amazing in the restaurant and front desk. Housekeeping grumpy old lady.

The shuttle from the airport is extremely convenient, and they don’t make you wait at all. As soon as you call or tell the desk you need a ride they are all over it. The bed and pillows and linens were all very comfortable and clean. On our king bed we had 4 plush king pillows. The towels are nice and smell good. The lobby has very comfortable couches. That was nice to have a place to hang out while we waited for rides. We had a banquet dinner and lunch at the hotel and that was very nice. The salmon and chicken were fantastic! The $20 breakfast is adequate but not amazing. It is really convenient, but if you have time to venture out, you could probably get a tastier breakfast elsewhere. We didn’t use the gym or pool. The staff is great. We were there for a work conference, and the company hosting it said that the hotel was tremendous to work with and bent over backwards to make things nice. So if you are looking to host an event, know it’s a good place to do so.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The property is nice, but is starting to show some signs of age (broken tiles and towel bars in the bathroom). Nothing that impacted our stay too much. We would book here again.

the shower door didn’t close initially and had to bring it to the attention of the staff twice, the towel rack was falling apart, paint on the other towel holder. Only really hot water and no cold water in the shower and the sink

The oveall was ok. We were trapped in the elevator last friday for 20 minutes with no respond from any employees. Thanks to a guest that heard us yelling and went to the feont desk to telled them.then all day did is some haitin men just like nothing ever happened, said sorry...very unprofessional, also we hqd to continue to ask for services our room every day with very lata respond. At this point they should be awaring us some money back.

They only service the room every other day including not taking garbage out. I was not told that until I asked. The clerk pointed to a sign taped to the counter. Other than that the room was newly remodeled and nice and it was very quiet.

Elevator nightmare. No safe smoking area for guests after 10pm. Laundry shakes the whole building, appreciated the quiet part which starts at 10pm but being shaken awake before 8am because the bed is vibrating wasn’t what we planned for a relaxing vacation

I did not have breakfast. The shuttle was convenient but the driver was rude and not helpful. I had to b get the stepstool out for myself. When the driver closed the door he grabbed the step and threw it loudlyin the passenger door. When we got to the airport he opened the door and did not get the step for me. As a senior guest it was not a good experience for me. I had to climb out.

I was initially assigned to a handicap room. When I asked to switch to a different room, the staff member insisted on keeping me there, saying the bathroom would be smaller, which felt dismissive. The gentleman who checked me in was unfriendly, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that bias may have influenced how we were treated. Both times, we were placed in rooms far in the back of the hotel, which was inconvenient. Overall, I felt the service and maintenance issues made this stay uncomfortable, and I would hesitate to return. If you want, I can also draft a slightly stronger version that emphasizes the discomfort and treatment without being accusatory, which often gets more attention from hotel management. Do you want me to do that?

This hotel is excellent with the exception of two items: 1). The shower floor is extremely slippery and almost caused a fall. 2)toilet had trouble flushing.

The manager on duty whos name is Daeveon, was the rudest individual in the servuce industry I have ever come across. After working over 16 hours, I walk into the lobby to only a hello and a stare. Not a welcome to Doubletree, not a how may a help you?, is there something you need?, nothing. After a moment he asked if I was checking in and I said yes, he then asked for my ID. After I handed it to him, he got some kind of attitude and stood up, walked all the way around the desk to pick up a floor sign and set it down right next to me. I leaned back to see what it says, and it say "please have ID ready", he was trying make a point. Keep in mind there was not one person in line, why would I stop read a sign and take out my ID before approaching an empty check in counter. So now am I not only tired, I am now offended and irritated. So I say I have had a very long day, and probably wouldn't have seen the sign anyways. At this point the general manager comes around the corner and Daeveon starts complaining to him about me right in front of me. I hold my tongue for the moment, and he finishes checking me in. He doesn't give me any information about wifi, breakfast, amenities, anything, just the location of the elevators. As I am waiting for the elevator, I can here him all the way across the lobby complaining about me again to the GM, in front of other patrons that have arrived. I got very angry and confronted him, and they revoked my room and made me leave. Unbelievable!

During my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sarasota Bradenton Airport over the Thanksgiving holiday, I experienced an extremely troubling interaction with the on-site manager. When I attempted to provide calm feedback during checkout regarding a racially insensitive assumption made during check-in, the manager responded by raising his voice, speaking over me, and escalating the situation in front of staff and guests. At one point he shouted, “I am raising my voice, and I will raise my voice,” and stated, “Yes, get me fired. My name is David Alexander. Get in line.” The situation became even more concerning when, after I briefly stepped away to retrieve my car for my elderly mother who has dementia, the manager approached my mother and my 19-year-old daughter directly in my absence to discuss the issue. Neither of them should have been placed in that position. I reported the incident to Hilton Corporate the same day. What followed has been months of delays and deflection. Corporate initially stated the hotel would handle it, then later referred me to the property ownership representative. Despite following those instructions and reaching out again, I have received no response. What is most disappointing is not only the original incident but the complete lack of accountability or meaningful foll

We needed a last-minute one-night stay, and they were accommodating and welcoming.

The AC unit was a hit mess… noisy and would turn on every 10 min. The room was overall clean.

Our stay was excellent- room was clean and amenities were abundant - warm cookies at check in, dinner on property was reasonable and delicious. Would definitely stay again!

I’d like a partial refund. The hotel was fine. Water didn’t get hot in the shower but that’s not a big deal. The biggest issue I had was that the walls must have been thin because I heard the person in the room beside mine doing coke all night in the bathroom, slamming the toilet seat down and talking/playing music on their phone all night

I was in the room with my wife, we were talking after 10 at night in our room, and the front desk called me several times. In the end, they knocked on the door to tell me that we couldn’t even have a conversation in the room and that after 10 p.m. it’s downtime and you can’t talk, watch TV, or do anything. This is the first time I’ve ever had a problem like this. I don’t know if the walls have no sound insulation or whatever, but the staff was very rude. Not recommend this hotel at all

Front desk great lobby area great room was great. Look good. The pool was disgusting. It was old, but not that it was just old. All the tiles around the edge were discussing we dirty some black and you could see there was scratch marks like somebody scratched it with their nails, all the AC vents and extra holes everywhere there are supposed to have covers on top down the hallways of where the rooms are. There was a lot of walls that look like they paid somebody $10 to fix the drywall. For $222 a night. I would never stay there again. I booked this place specifically for indoor pool since it was cold. I would’ve rather stayed at Holiday Inn express got free breakfast no pool. Hot tub also dirty pool deck also dirty. They need a lot more refurbishing before they keep continuing with that price

Have to agree with other reviews regarding the parking lot. It's looking trashy with over grown weeds. No landscape appeal at all for a DoubleTree hotel. The staff was great. The interior was clean all in all. The breakfast is mediocre like typical continental breakfast that should be part of the booking. It's $20 (pricey for basics) overall ok stay to be near airport. Nothing else is nearby as far as food & shops. Of all DT Hotels I've stayed, this one was…well…ghetto.

Have stayed at Double Trees before, but this one needs more maintenance, cleaning, hallways have a smell, and breakfast food was cold, only part I liked was that it’s very close to the airport.

There was a problem with our room in the middle of the night that caused us to have to move rooms. We were moved to a room with no issues, but it made for a very bad night’s sleep. Some kind of compensation or discount seems appropriate to me, but the desk attendant said it was out of her hands.

We first stayed at Holiday Inn for $152 and that hotel creeped us out with the dirty carpet and woman making "noises" in the middle of the night next door. It was like a horror movie. We did not look forward to staying at DoubleTree because it was even cheaper for $115 but it definitely looked and felt a little cleaner. It's still a very low budget hotel and we will never do it again. The hotel needs to maintain the parking lot. It's abandoned and weeds growing all over the place. I'm amazed they let it look like this.

The room was fine, the staff courteous. I did however choose this Hilton hotel because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. When I tried to use said hot tub, I found it and the pool filled with children. I stay at Hilton Hotels to relax. Not possible this time. I understand that children stay at hotels. I just think that the use of adult style amenities should be restricted to adults.

We went with our friends to Sarasota and needed to stay somewhere one night. Let’s just say when we got there, their mouths dropped. As did my wife and mine. This place was immaculate! I mean just the whole vibe of this hotel was absolutely fantastic. We didn’t need to stay another night and almost decided to, just because it was so nice and comfortable. Staff were so helpful and always around. The ambiance was exquisite with a nice pool area and gym. Next time we head back up in that direction, there is a no question about where we will be staying.

The hotel was well kept we had an enjoyable stay.

This property was convenient, clean, and the staff was great. It’s across the street from the Sarasota airport. Dining and activities weren’t too far away. When we checked in the staff was ready to greet us and help any way they could.

I was also quite disappointed when I completed online check in requesting a specific room and digital key to only have to check in when digital key wouldn’t load. Then I was given a completely different room than I had requested. The kicker was I literally stood at the front desk for several minutes before the employee decided to even loon at me, then never acknowledged the digital key issue nor did he acknowledge he was giving me a completely different room than I had checked into online. When I brought it up he said “oh, do you want a cookie?”

The sitting area on the 1st floor was humid the air conditioner wasn't on or wasn't working. There were ants in room 213. I can't believe you guys doesn't offer the guest free continental breakfast. Instead of a $20 breakfast buffet.

I stayed at the DoubleTree recently and it was honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in. Everything was spotless, fresh, and didn’t have that musty smell you sometimes get in hotels. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I truly felt comfortable and cared for during my stay. Highly recommend this location!

It was a nice stay! Especially the inside pool but the fire pit did not work and the hot tub was not hot. Our bedroom tv did not work properly so they did move us and the room they moved us to the front tv did not work lol but they handled the situation so I can not complain

The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute drive to the SRQ airport. The gentleman at the front desk was short with us, not welcoming at all or courteous and seemed bothered which made the checking in experience a poor one.

Rather than taking accountability, the manager was very rude and refused to provide a copy of incident report. I also have photographic evidence of the bedding, which speaks for itself. Hotels have a basic responsibility to provide clean and sanitary accommodations, and this property failed to meet even the most fundamental expectation. Guests deserve better.

The lobby, corridors, fitness center are all warm. The parking lot can use some work. The rooms weren't warm. Considering the value, the location isn't too far off from Anna Maria Island and it's beaches. The warm cookies was definitely a nice touch, too.

Room was clean big tv nice layout booked a suite. Furniture and shower was showing so age probably time for a remodel but everything was clean and staff was great pool is really small pictures make it look bigger than it really is plenty of parking

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was the same temperature as the pool and there were no cushions on the metal loungers at the pool. 😟 Was also surprised that there was no microwave in the room. The chocolate, walnut cookies are amazing!

The hot tub was cold, the lounge chairs had no cushions on them, the fire pit area had no cushions on the seats so that you could sit and enjoy yourself. if you wanted them you had to ask for them. the bed was very uncomfortable for it to be a one room suite. you would think if you're going to pay a money for the suite that you would have a very comfortable bed. the hallways were extremely hot. the air was not turned on in the hallways. when you got off the elevator it was extremely hot. the breakfast was overpriced. we went there to relax for the weekend and it was not accommodating at all.

Good experience. The room was clean and comfortable - good beds, good water pressure in the shower, cold AC, good breakfast in the morning. Staff was nice and polite. You can hear the planes a little bit, but it's not terribly disturbing. Would be 4 stars but for the surrounding parking lot, which was pretty rough with people clearly living in their vehicles. There is plenty of parking though.

Clean and nice

Loved our stay. The guy who checked us in was Daveon and he was above and beyond awesome. Cookies were on point. But the breakfast buffet could use some work, otherwise it was an absolutely perfect stay

I had to stay here when my flight was canceled. It was a great hotel. The staff was kind and attentive and the hotel itself was great.

Newly renovated, close to the beach.

Air conditioner in the room didn’t work, had maintenance come up and put on a new thermostat and it still did not work. Hotel was very clean and quiet though.

The property was fine. The fact that Exoedian did n it change the date of the reservation was embarrassing!!! I need to be compensated for this.

My hotel stay here was very pleasant, great staff- very clean. Hotel was up-to-date. Will definitely be staying here. Next time I come visit my grandfather.

Nice place near the airport for a night or two

The food was not how we remembered it at all. That's one of the reasons we chose that hotel. My son also stated he felt like there wasn't enough chlorine in the pool. We had a good trip but it's not as good as it was when it was the Holiday Inn Express a few years ago

We love our room and the amenities…. It’s clean, the sheets are crisp, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is really nice … Love the Crabtree & Evelyn amenities…. The hotel is well laid out and has a lot of nice touches…. The lobby attendant was very friendly and professional…. We love the indoor pool as well and the restaurant and bar! When we’re in the area again visiting Anna Maria Island and the beautiful beaches over here we will always pick this hotel ! Thanks, Anisa Rivera

The parking lot needs to be updated. It looks as it hasn't been maintained in over 20yrs. The near by trash facility grounds shouldnt look better the hotels grounds. Parking lot needs a major overhaul.

David Alexander went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I during my stay. Very grateful to be in the company of someone that puts customer service first.

Everything was great. My 11 year old and I needed a room unexpectedly for an early flight. We were so happy with the accommodations. We swam in the lovely clean pool, loved the lobby and the view from the elevator. The room was so clean, and cozy, and comfortable. The airport shuttle driver drove a little less conservatively than I would but we arrived safe. A nice overall experience.

Not many food options around hotel, and front area was under construction but other than that it was nice. Bar has great drinks!

Clean. Staff was polite,.professional and helpful. By comparison to other hotels nearby, this is the one I would stay at again.

The toilet in my room was broken. Once flushed the water never stopped running. I tried to call front desk, the phone didn’t work. I was in town on a tight schedule (a funeral) so I didn’t have a lot of time. The next morning I tried to call the front desk, the phone still didn’t work, so I removed the lid, saw that a tube was missing. I connected the tube and the toilet worked. The room was nice and the hotel was quiet.

Clean, well appointed room

Possible beg bugs in bed, couldn’t sleep all night due to this and a lot of noise in the building at any hour.
