The room was very clean. The staff was very helpful. We had a small issue with the lock and room key (technology) but was fixed right away. The outdoor pool was very nice and access to other property pool and beach was very nice. Parking was easy and available.

This is a beautiful property with a classy circus theme to reflect the Ringling Brothers influence in Sarasota. A public beach is across the street to stroll in the morning and St Armand’s Circle is a 10 minute walk with lots of shopping and fine dining. The front desk calls a very nice private shuttle that takes you the short distance to Lido Beach for the full resort treatment of chairs, towels, drinks and snacks delivered to you. The beach is beautiful white sand and clear water. The bar in the hotel has a nice happy hour and has a fun atmosphere. The main restaurant has absolutely amazing food with gorgeous presentations. They clean the room daily and gave us turn down service with chocolates and slippers. The room also had refillable metal water bottles and dispensers for them on each floor. There were also luxurious robes and bed linens! We loved this place and will return!

This hotel was very impressive. Not only was it in a perfect location with beautiful ocean views and close to the circle, it was remodelled with extremely attractive decor and amenities. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the onsite restaurant was excellent, the pool was convenient and clean and everything in the place was immaculate. Will definately consider again if visiting the area.

Great hotel for a quick walk into town or literally cross the road to the public beach. The rooms were clean and newly done. The pool was trendy and cute and clean. The highlight was the food and drinks. Everything we ordered at the hotel was next level good. I highly recommend eating breakfast on site in the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel right across from the beach. Our suite was very large with a double balcony. Walking distance to restaurants. The hotel bar and restaurant were both excellent.

Love, love, love the Cirque. Beautiful grounds, awesome restaurants and love that there was a shuttle to their sister resort that we had full access to. The shuttle drivers were soo friendly along with Toni that checked us in. We met Stephanie at the Coastal Cowgirl, who happens to work with the Opal hotel resorts and she was soo glad that we were having an amazing time. Loved the close proximity to St Armands Circle. 3 blocks away. Highly recommend going there also. We definitely will be back soon!!!

Its best kept secret on lido. Everything perfect. And the restaurant was the most wonderful too. Staff were fantastic

The hotel was amazing! Exceeded my expectations. Very accommodating and close to everything. The shuttle was very convenient to go to St Armand’s circle and the Lido Beach Resort. The hotel does not have chairs or umbrellas on the beach, but you have access to the Lido Beach Resort where they set up the chairs and umbrellas. Also have their amenities like their pools and tiki bars to use!! Would come here thousand times more

The hotel was great - very updated, awesome location, access to Lido Beach Resort private beach and amenities.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. There were lots of items placed around the hotel that made it feel welcoming and I would definitely go back again.

One of the best places my wife and I have stayed at, short 5 day getaway but really relaxing by the pool, short walk to St. Armands circle, short walk to sister property and amazing beaches. Will come again for sure.

We love staying at this hotel. Staff is so attentive and accommodating. The restaurant food is very tasty and well prepared. View of beach is spectacular and sunset is awesome. And easy access to shopping and additional restaurants with hotel provided shuttle.

Loved the place! We were on the 7th floor which has a larger balcony and 4 chairs. They had a welcome drink, impeccable housekeepers, and a cool, warm, refreshingly nice vibe! We had a corner room and the city side but still could see the beach from the edge of our balcony. It was quiet, too! A nice benefit was the shuttle and access to their other lido property with a great beach bar, beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach service! Much less crowded than Siesta beach. We really loved the location... right across from the public lido beach, free parking, and a close walk to the Armand shops... of course the shuttle would take you there, too. Great restaurants within walking distance and nice little bars. Fun!

Never told no beach chairs or umbrellas, so could not go to beach. Restaurant tables on top of c each other, u constantly hear others conversations, limited menu. Food was great, especially the steak but u need to offer small steaks, 14 n 16 ounce , lot wasted couldn't eat it c all n with no micrwaves in room couldn't bring to room. Your staff was the best, pool great, outside service great.

Great 4 day stay at this hotel. Gorgeous hotel, exceptionally clean with great facilities. Bed was extremely comfortable & great thought has been given to little details in the room. Staff extremely helpful on reception & the bar staff were great producing really good cocktails & drinks. Food in the restaurant was fabulous & well presented.

It was not very helpful for the elderly. I tripped twice in over the step going out to the patio area and cut my leg and when I went down to breakfast, we sat and waited 10 minutes to try and get a cup of coffee we ended up leaving very slow thank you blessings.

We had the best experience! The hotel is newer, gorgeous, and perfectly located. The beach view is amazing, and the easy walk to St. Armand’s made it a perfect vacation. We really enjoyed the hotel restaurant, and ate breakfast there daily. We will return.

An unforgettable wedding weekend at an amazing hotel! From the reservation, check-in/out staff, pool bar, Ringside restaurant….couldn’t have asked for more! Marrying my love at Lido Beach during sunset was a dream come true. We will definitely be back again!

Water view was obstructed by parking lot and palms. This property is a revision to the Holiday Inn on Lido Beach. Cosmetics gave it a fresh look. Resturant was a disappointment. Sorry but just not worth the increased rate.

I made reservations and thought it was ocean view. When I asked the staff for help on my reservation they said they couldn’t help since I had used a third party and had I made reservations directly through them, I would have been able to get ocean view.

The hotel has it right in everything they do.

This was one of our favorite stays. Beach right across the road with beach access point. Circle was a 5 min walk with dining and shopping. Clean and quiet and safe. Quick trip to the airport. Nothing bad to say.

But I would stay at the Cirque St. Armands Beachside as it is quieter and more intimate.

The room was spotless and clean, the staff was very friendly; it was perfect for spending a pleasant time with my wife.

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Bar has great bartenders for unusual drinks, and the restaurant has really good breakfasts. Next to the public beach and if you want chairs, etc., the sister property is a 3 minute walk away.

Everything in the hotel still looks new & clean. It was a great surprise to learn that we had access to the beach resort nearby (a 10 minute walk if you don't need the shuttle). Super close walk to St. Armands Circle. Looking forward to visiting again someday.

Jillian was so awesome at the front desk! She is amazing and very helpful concerning all aspects of our stay. Jansen in the bar was amazing as well and we enjoyed our time at the bar with him. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to experience the excellence of an opal hotel. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning in the hotel . We are not normally breakfast eaters, but the menu and quality of the food changedall of that on the first day. We will definitely be back very very soon. Thank you for a most excellent stay!

Very pretty

A great location even though the is a road between the hotel and beach. The sister Opal resort, which you can take a shuttle to is on the beach. That property needs to extend the time they pay their beach staff to be 30 minutes AFTER the sunset, getting kicked out of the beach chairs 20 minutes before the sunset was very annoying. The restaurant in the Cirque was OK, good for breakfast and the pool bar and staff were great.

It was a wonderful beautifully decorated hotel. It is small and intimate and the staff is great and the food is wonderful. It is our new favorite place in the sarasota area, the staff was outstanding!

Check in was easy. Eliz gave us an overview of the hotel, the pantry on our floor, the gift shop/self pay with wrist band. Pool was wonderful. Enjoyed the full moon drum meditation poolside. Great atmosphere! Refill water bottle station and ice bag drawer are excellent ideas!!

Highly recommended this gem of a property. Beautiful modern art deco circus theme decor with historical photography. This Opal luxury is brand new. The front reception staff and restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly. They really care about sustainability and provide water bottle fill up stations on every floor to reduce plastic. Great access to the beach and walkable in 5 minutes to Armand Circle full of boutiques, bars and restaurants. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the sister Lido Beach resort if you want a private beach or to go downtown. I loved that included in my daily resort fee I had parking on site. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise.

The property was wonderful except for the pool. The photos on the website are an AI rendering if what it was supposed to look like, but the city shut it down (according to the pool bartender). Also, the beach adjacent to the hotel is a public beach, so chairs / umbrellas aren’t available to rent on site. The only option is to bring your own, or go down to the Lido Beach Resort to use their chairs. Not a huge deal, as we enjoyed the beach being much less populated vs the private one, but definitely something we wish we would have known prior.

Property has been nicely refurbished. We enjoyed our stay. Only problem was our room didn’t get serviced every day ({even though they told us we would have daily service) and we had to call a couple of times to get fresh towels, trash taken out and beds made. We stayed there 6 days. But we would definitely stay there again. Very close to beach and walkable to St Armand’s Circle

The property is renovated from a Holliday Inn building and is 2 months in operation. It’s a fun theme, Cirque. The room was exceptional.

Location was good, new construction, very nice and modern. Staff were friendly. The downside for me were the noisy neighbors (thin walls) and the whistling of AC all night long.

My husband and I and our daughter drove in from Miami to celebrate her 15th birthday. She wanted to tour Ringling Art College nearby and this circus themed hotel was perfect! We fell in love with the decor, it was done beautifully. We also really enjoyed the boutique vibe - nostalgic, swanky but low key. And the food was amazing!! We’re already planning to come back later this year.

For the

Visiting friends on Lido Key for the weekend and we chose this brand new Opal Collection boutique hotel. Excellent walkable location to St Armand’s Circle, be advised “bay view room” means parking lot view, but luckily we got a corner room, so from our balcony we saw parking lot and partial Gulf view which was very nice. So if you prefer a complete beach and gulf view, I suggest paying more for Gulf front room. Elevators are painfully slow. Food was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Recently renovated hotel. Decor was circus chic. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. St Armond Circle and sister hotel Lido Beach Resort all 7 minutes walking away. They also have shuttle service. So it was great to not have to drive around and deal with traffic. I would definitely stay again

This brand new hotel was very clean and fairly priced. The service was outstanding by all the staff. The outdoor pool area was spacious and with the bar/food area right there, the convenience was exceptional. Will definitely stay there again.

In room dining was still figuring out it's flow since the hotel opened 8 weeks ago. We had a view of Lido Beach and loved having balcony access both from our room and the seating area. Nice place that used to be the Holiday Inn Opal now manages it & Well improved- All staff are friendly & helpful- Was glad to see addition of coffee in the lobby at AM- Would like to see a designated area for smokers- with ashtrays - Lido Beach directly across the street & you can utilize sister hotel Lido Beach resort down the street as well- Trolley & shuttles are right there! Highly recommend- The old Sand castle Resort will be an Opal hotel as well in about 2 years too!

The hotel provide a free short shuttle ride to sister hotel Lido Beach Resort (which we prefer) with acess to their private beach, chairs and umberllas pools, resutrants and bar. Armond circle is few blocks away or you can use the free shuttle.

The room was great. The staff was great. The location was great. The ability to utilize the sister hotel, Lido Beach Resort, was great, although it made us question why we didnt just stay at LBR. Suggestion, offer chairs and umbrellas at the beach across the street. The only complaint we have is the menu at Ringside. It was unnecessarily fancy. My husband is a chef and I have waited tables for years in my past, so we are not unknowledgable about food service. The restaurant was close to empty most nights we were there. That should tell you something. We would have preferred to stay in house for dinner, but ended up going to St. Armands every night. We would recommend changing the lunch and dinner menu to offer both fancy food, but balanced with straight forward dinners. We had a fantastic time and wish we could have stayed longer... again, the frustration was the restaurant menu.

While the staff may do their best to meet your needs, the overall experience falls short and does not justify the cost. It feels like a complete scam. To add to the frustration, the property manager failed to apologize and simply stated that she was not involved. This lack of accountability is disappointing. Its not worth the price they ask!

Arrived at hotel to check in. Property was closed for remodeling. Took my non-refundable payment for the stay even though they knew the hotel would be closed. Did not notify me there would be no room. Did not refund my payment. Booked me into a different hotel in a room that cost substantially less per night and pocketed the difference. Absolutely horrid service.

Love the beach access and adult only pool section. Clean and great staff

Found multiple roaches crawling around in our room. We took them down in a wad of toilet paper to the front desk, and they handed us a can of Raid. When we checked out we were told there would be compensation from hotels.com for the multiple days of finding roaches in our things but still haven't received any communication.

Place needs deep cleaning and repair. Mold smell in hallway that is unbearable. Rooms need deep cleaning. Under nightstand and on rear wall baseboard it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Tub had been repaired and was missing pieces. Terrible stay. Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Made you feel they were doing you a favor. Only thing it has is great location for the beach.

Hotel staff were very helpful, pleasant, and courteous. Hotel is dated and in need of some repairs/upgrades but was comfortable enough for myself and my little one. The offered amenities were a plus too.

We had a great time! Spent the 4th of July here. It was nice to not have to worry about traffic and beach parking! Watched the boat races from our balcony. 5 minute walk to St Armands. Complimentary cold bottled water was nice. Hotel staff was very nice, everyone we encountered was professional and helpful. We would stay here again and will recommend to our out of state family!

Dirty, bugs (cockroaches), old, need repairs, water smelled like sewage, hallways stunk (musky), staff was not engaged in their job, breakfast was horrible. Rooms were small. Don’t recommend at all. Not worth the money. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

On the property its self its great.. but after leaving and getting home we realized that someone had gone thru our stuff. My son had some shoes that never left his bag the whole time we wore there and they came out missing and my wife had some money in her bag ($400 in a zipped bag attached to the inside of her bag) and it did not make it home.. we contacted the manager about this and she just told us that they are not responsible for any theft. When it was in the room locked and only her staff were the only ones that went inside.. after reporting the stolen items they called saying that they found the shoes that wore in the bag the whole trip and i had to pay $45 if i wanted them delivered.. soo if the shoes came up.. obviously that verified that they did go through our bags. (Because his shoes wore never take out of his bag the whole trip and they were inside a zipped pouch inside his bag as well. there was no way they could have fallen out) . but nothing was sed about the missing money. Its sad that they would have people working there that could do such a thing. People go to hotels to have their stuff and themselves feel safe.. not be wondering if they will have their things stolen when they go to clean the rooms

Nice place

stay was fine. real draw is the extremely close proximity to lido beach- which was gorgeous and basically steps away. nice to have water and snacks from 2-4pm. the cleaner/scent they use in the hotel lobby is strong (that is not sunscreen/suntan lotion etc, its a fragrance based cleaner).

Old school Holiday Inn. However, very clean. Staff was very personable and you cannot beat the location. We heard they will be closing this month and will begin renovations. We look forward to staying again once they reopen!!!

Staff were attentive and nice

The check in was very easy. In addition to the hotel price, which was very high, there was an additional per day fee. My room was old looking and had a lot of patch work. I had a balcony that I couldn’t use because the handle came off in my hand. The tub was chipped and there was no hot water in the sink. There is also no microwave in the room. I did like the coffee bar that was offered in the lobby. For the price, except for the hotel being across from the beach, the price was not worth it. It really needs updating or the price should reflect the state of the hotel. The lobby is very nice.

Clean and comfortable room in a great location. Our room did seem somewhat run-down—broken handle on the sliding glass door, light fixture with dangling bulb, difficult to switch from tub to shower, and running toilet. But, the staff was friendly and the location was easy to navigate and had a great view. Bonus—hotel is super turtle friendly!

Perfect location, right across from the beach and walkable to Armond circle with restaurants and boutiques. The hotel has everything you need

The staff was so friendly, professional and very personable. The hotel was very clean. The restaurant had a beautiful view of the beach and the breakfast was awesome!!! I will visit again and inform my friends to stay there. It was great! ALL THE STAFF NEED A RAISE. They were wonderful. Front desk, cleaners, and all restaurant employees. Loved them!

Can’t wait to stay again

Everything about this place is great. The only down side is that there are no food options for vegans just fruit and potatoes for breakfast and none for the little restaurant on the first floor.

The price was affordable and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.

Incredible views of Lido Beach. Very nice staff. It’s rumored that this property is closing soon to become a more expensive luxury resort. The wonderful view will then cost much more money to enjoy.

Needs updating but clean and great amenities including pool bar restaurant gym unlimited water and afternoon snacks.

The pool deck is poorly designed with little room for lounge chairs and in the afternoon the building totally blocks the sun.

Needed to change rooms because the bathroom was so cramped. The gym was a little outdated. Personnel were very receptive and helpful. Excellent location to the beach and St. Armands Circle, which is only a block away and no need to pay additionally for parking on the circle.

Best location for beach and restaurants (all walkable). Beach never disappoints. One of the best in the US. Hotel rooms need a complete overhaul and refit though.

Excellent location on Lido Beach, just steps away from St Armand's Circle. We have stayed here numerous times in the past and it is always a pleasure.

I loved being so close to the beach and St Armands.

Very expensive; however, beach was right there. Cocktails were too expensive.

Will be back next year.

Heater bug.Also the room wasn’t clean .Their staff were so rude .Also breakfast area has beautiful view but their breakfast is terrible .İ paid 63 usd for breakfast.i couldn’t find tomato ,any green ,avacoda ,banana ,oat ….we could find only cream cheese and bagel ….totally bad experience….
