The location is perfect with easy access to the beach, restaurants and shops. I love the art deco recreation of an exclusive 1930's hotel. The service was outstanding - the best I have experienced - ever! And room service was like the grand hotels used to be but rarely are anymore.

The Georgian is on Ocean Ave and within steps of the Santa Monica Pier as well as great restaurants. Our room was small but comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly. We'll definitely stay here on our next Santa Monica trip.

Room was not as advertised. Paid for high floor and still looked at wall. When I raised with desk staff was totally blown off. No coffee maker in rooms so you need to dress and go downstairs for coffee in the morning. Breakfast room service doesn’t start until 7am, not great for east coast visitors.

Very unique old but beautifully preserved hotel with fantastic staff! Super clean rooms/bathrooms... great beds/bedding.

Loved the decor and overall vibe. Was great to have such a nice restaurant and bar downstairs (visited it three times!). Rooms are a tad small but it's worth it for a nice location and access to the downstairs.

Absolutely amazing area! The staff is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience. Definitely a place to come back, well deserved the 5 stars they got from Michelin in all aspects, and it truly deserves it!

Amazing Staff!

The location was fantastic on the front of Santa Monica and the restaurants and bar on site were excellent. The gym was extremely small and unusable and the partial sea view room we booked and paid for had no view whatsoever.

Beautiful setting and felt like being transported 80/90 years in time. The attention to detail was 100% there. You walk out and you're right in the beach too!!! The AC unit seems very old and noisy, it woke me up each time it was going off/on with a bang!

I am of a certain age and almost all reviews do not tend to older women travelers. This hotel was amazing and it’s always the staff that makes it so. Everything about the hotel was amazing. I had a terrible migraine the first day and the care I received helped me through it. The rooms in a hotel are the same everywhere it will always be staff that makes a hotel successful. This hotel has been one of my favorites for almost 20 years.

This was our 3rd stay at The Georgian. We love the beautifully redecorated hotel and rooms. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are too. The restaurants are excellent!! The staff is very helpful and friendly. It’s a real treat to stay at The Georgian!

Such a fun place to stay! Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the turntable provided.

At check in, we felt very welcomed by the Bellman, and the front desk staff. The room was retro and wonderfully styled. The bed was super comfortable. It was very nice to be able to borrow bicycles for a beach trail ride. The only drawback was a loud A/C unit in 401.

The cocktails and meals were delicious, I had breakfast lunch and dinner. Hotel beautiful and really fun to even just walk through. But the staff really shined, I felt welcomed and like I could ask for anything and it would happen right then. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back my next time in town!

The room had great ambiance. It was very aesthetic and clean. One room was ready at 4 when we checked in, but the other wasn't ready until after 530. The person who did our check in was trying to upcharge us to a room with an ocean view. We said we weren't interested. Then, when the second room was ready, he called us to see if we wanted a city view for an additional $$. We got our bill from the hotel after we left, and we got charged $3 for the kind campaign. We never agreed to that. Nice hotel but felt pressured for $$.

However, I would still recommend this place. 👀If you stay in an odd-numbered room, it can be very noisy since the dumpsters are located right outside the window. Be sure to request a room on the opposite side for a quieter experience.

Everything was perfect. The valets and room service were fast and easy. It was a joy to stay there and the atmosphere is unique and playful. It really is an “accidental Wes Anderson” hotel. The library was also cozy. The turn down service was also nice and a good reminder to stay hydrated.

This was our favorite hotel of our trip. Very retro, art deco, beautiful surroundings and vibe, and every associate went above and beyond to make our trip memorable.

Overpriced and had my stuff go missing in the room at this property. Poor handling and conflicting stores regarding the missing and now “magically found” item from customer service as well. I tracked the item via gps and saw it was inside of a private residence before being returned, but front desk refused to even refund enough to cover the item that was either (1) stolen and used; or (2) went through the washer and dryer after the housekeeping staff mixed it in with the linen. Regardless it’s unusable now. Poor experience overall

Booked a room as we are doing renovations at our house and my BFF was in town. Staff is there exceptionally personable and took excellent care of us. Room was lovely and dinner at The Georgian Room was exceptional. Also, Orion is the best Bell Boy EVER!

Eventually they seated me and for 30-40 minutes these tables were unoccupied.

The Georgian is a Santa Monica landmark on Ocean Ave. it’s beautifully renovated and our only disappointment is that for 2023 the Xmas decorations were outstanding whereas this year there’s none.

The Georgian is beautifully remodeled and gorgeous. Staff is incredibly welcoming, hospitable and helpful. The ONLY suggestion I can make is to request that the morning complimentary coffee station be extended to 7:30 or 8AM (from the current 5 to 7AM). We've been to L.A. at least 20 times, and The Georgian was one of our best stays in terms of comfort, food, service and convenience.

The location is good. An older hotel that has been given a facelift. Definitely paying for the location. Amenities old (very slow elevator). One day we came back to our room at dinner time and it still had not been cleaned. We had to call down and ask for it to be freshened up. Other than that, good service.

Noisy, only one operating elevator for service staff and guests, no lounge for guests to relax because entire front section of main floor is packed with restaurant tables and bar seating; not greeted by bellhop upon arrival, nobody available at check-in desk for several minutes; tiny gym with minimal equipment and no room to stretch or do floor cardio; bathtub faucet drips after use making the bath not relaxing. “City view” room was just a view of a loading dock, dumpsters, and the hotel fire escape and exterior hvac system; drugged out zombies everywhere roaming outside the hotel at all times of day and night. I was hopeful after the recent renovations but this is not a luxury hotel. They put lipstick on a pig

We had an ocean front room so there wasn't much to not like. Until the elevator acted up and we had to walk down from the 8th floor. Staff suggested that it was our fault (like it was the first time we had ever used and elevator) (NOT). It either got fixed or the glitch was transient. Either way we lost trust in the elevator after that.

I often never drop a comment but wanted to give this property and its staff two thumbs down!!! Super unhelpful staff. Will never ever stay here again.

We found this hotel on Hotels.com and really liked it. The location (across the street from the beach in Santa Monica) was terrific, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was a delight to stay in. The atmosphere and decor is a fun, art deco vibe in keeping with its history. We would stay here again.

Love this charming property. However, they need to improve their elevators. They are outdated and take forever! Also, had a less than favorable interaction with a member of the restaurant staff. I asked to view a menu and she told me I needed to walk outside to look there. It was a bit cold and the only reason I was considering not walking somewhere was to avoid going outside.

What makes the stay at The Georgian even better is the staff, they are all so freindly and really take the time to get to know you personally and offer yout tips on where to go and what to do. Nothing is a hassle Cant wait for my next trip

Wonderful location. Lovely people if not slightly haphazard service though always super friendly. Room was lovely but lacking in a few key things: hanging space, shelving in bathroom, hooks for towels and robes, light switches defective.. . For that amount of money, I think it can be fully accessible for those who need — absolutely— and work for others who also use an accessible room. I would return if the manager walked around and ensured was functional :).

Historic with lots of style. Our suite overlooked the beach/ocean. The sunsets were spectacular. Also, the staff was fantastic. FYI: Two brief negatives: 1 --- The common areas of the hotel were a bit worn … and seemingly, not cleaned on a daily basis. 2--- The elevator is old … and very slow.

Darling hotel in a great location. First floor is really cool with library, reading room, gym and bar. Decorated so cute. We were in a room with wall connecting to elevator that I could hear all night long, so wouldn’t recommend any room ending in 6, but would definitely stay there again. Every staff member we encountered (front desk, valet, bartenders) all very helpful.
