Upon check in we were told our room was unavailable due to a flood situation, so we were given a room of the same tier it just didn’t have a private hot tub like we had originally booked. The hotel made it right for us by giving us free valet, and late check out. Everything was very clean and accommodating! Friendly staff, and very helpful! Balcony was amazing and the views were beautiful!

It’s a great hotel with a lot of nice amenities. Stuff is close by and it’s great to spend time there with your family and friends. The rooms are nice and a good size. Parking is expensive, even the self park. Orange juice is mid.

the best part of the room was the outdoor terrace. The parking/valet staff was super friendly and the highlight of the stay. The room looked a bit outdated could have been nicer. I thought the parking was extremely expensive. Value for money... would probably stay elsewhere next time.

Price was incredibly misleading. Between parking, taxes and a few other amenities that are typically included in a hotel stay, I was incredibly disappointed to have been charged several hunderd dollars more for my stay than what was originally posted in the Expedia listing. So if the price you're seeing sounds like a great deal, just tack on an extra $200-300, that's likely what you'll end up paying by the time you check out.

There “ocean view” is not worth it at all, they charge you for parking too about $115, honestly everything should be included when booking, im already staying, its ridiculous that you still have to pay for parking, be ready to pay $300 for deposit, also breakfast wasn’t included, i know cheaper hotels that include breakfast and is better anyways, im currently at a 3 star hotel where they treat us way better, and include parking too and even breakfast, definitely not going to stay here ever again.

Pool area is very small and was being repaired. The hotel is perfectly functional and convenient for a short stay. Good location between Lincoln and Santa Monica beachfront. Our main gripe was being charged $ 61 for a room service hamburger that my wife said was not even edible !!!

The room was roomy and comfy, with nice linens and desk. The staff is just wonderful and always there to answer questions or assist. It's a great place to host a professional event, like the one I attended. We always stay there when we have business on the West Side of LA.

Rooms , decors , bathroom looks very old and boring like you are in a hotel that age. 60 years ago Santa Monica is one of the richest city the room decor carpet bathroom looks very ugly and old .

There was no self parking and the valet parking was very expensive. I parked in a lot that was a three to five minute walk from the hotel.

Staff and spirit of hospitality are in constant supply at Centric. Emerson's service for our birthday party made it perfect. He was patient and anticipated each guest's desires. He helped me feel like I was a great hostess! Manager looked for ways to help us feel at home. Location is convenient and rooms have great orientations towards the ocean and city - not far from beach - far enough to enjoy utterly quiet sleep hours. Nice facilities. Bar and food offerings are well prepared. Good for pleasure and working visits for me.

I showered in my room and bathrub was glogged, no water would go down, I then was moved to another room that had smoke smell outside of it during my time which i had to notify the front desk of due to it filling my room

Room was great, clean and alright no issues. View from ocean view-room balcony was beautiful Katie at the front desk was awesome, she called me and my boyfriend family. Pool was supposed to be heated but was cold, and no hot tub. Firepits wouldn’t start. Entertainment room was lame and you had to go to the front desk to be able to use anything.

Our room (with the balcony and partial view of the ocean) was excellent; clean, comfortable, quiet and had very nice and helpful room service. We ate several times at the hotel's restaurant. They make very good omelets for breakfast and offer excellent deserts. Dinner choices are rather limited, but you probably can find something that will satisfy your hunger: cheeseburger or sandwich. We found the front desc and concierge services very satisfactory. My grandson enjoyed exercising in the gym. Overall: relatively small hotel with comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. Hope, we will stay there again.

Staff forgot to put a shower gell at the bathroom. The room door look through hole was broken. This hotel is not worth the money they charge for considering all the issues they have with it.

You really have to be careful which room you get. I did not get the room I paid for. There was a dirty washcloth from the last guest in the shower, the gap between the door and the floor let so much sound & light in - I couldn’t sleep. I’ve stayed here 5 times now with 2 bad room experiences.

Hot water was inconsistent. Shower would turn from hot to ice cold multiple times during one shower. Frustrating promise but non-delivery from staff. We spoke with staff at valet and reception 4 times to ensure we were charged correctly for parking. On check out, the charge was still incorrect. Selective application of policy. I watched staff offer a group of middle aged Caucasian women complimentary wine at check in. We checked in immediately after them, and were not offered the same. We are a young family and people of colour.

If you are looking for something a little bit upmarket this accommodation is great. It’s a little more than 10 minutes walk to the pier but not a hard walk. Staff were amazing and facilities were great too. It was on the high end of our budget but worth it.

We came here for a birthday sleepover for my teenage daughter and her friends. The front desk, housekeeping, and valet staff were all so friendly and accommodating! The location is perfect and hotel amenities were perfect! The heated pool was the icing on the cake!

No coffee in room

My only complaint is the air conditioning defaulted (or was reset by housekeeping) to 74 degrees during the day while we were out. It was way too hot to sleep. One of the problems with the mini-split is my friends were freezing in the bed next to it while I was too hot on the other side.

Best reception staff ever

The pool was another letdown—it’s extremely small and feels cramped, nothing like what you’d hope for when booking a relaxing stay. What frustrated us the most were the unexpected extra fees. We were charged significant amounts for amenities we never used, and to make matters worse, we were told at check-in that the gym and amenities were free. That clearly was not the case when we received our bill. Overall, the experience felt misleading and not worth the price. We would not stay here again.

We stayed there for two days. The room was clean. Lobby nd lunch menu were good. The cost was very reasonable in light of being close to the beach. Parking per day was $57 (self-park).

Be aware that there are extra fees and deposits required when you arrive. I asked where I can park and was told 67 dollars a day valet or take my chances on the street. Resort fee and parking was 115 dollars extra on top of what I paid for the room. Front desk clerk Cynthia was a real piece of work. Belittled me when I asked what floor my room was on. Use caution before booking at this place. Happy travels!

I was not pleased with our stay. Hotel is overpriced, not enough towels, A/C did not work, an engineer was sent to fix the problem and was very rude, did not speak or when spoken too no response back! Hotel charged $300 for incidentals fees and parking in hotel structure was $67 a night RIDICULOUS! I do not recommend staying at this hotel!

Son already checked in ahead of us around 7PM then we followed at 2am since we are coming from out of town. We explained to the guy the I am the mom I have a the copy of the receipt of the check in and if we can have additional key to get in the guy asked us to wake up my son and call the front desk. I explained that he will have an emergency procedure the following morning so Please not to wake him up. Guy insisted to wake him up even asked to come down and let us know we can go up. We explained again that he might be dizzy and premedicated and still insist to wake him up. We understand the rule however a compassion goes a long way. I will not stay on this hotel again for that reason.

Didnt use the business center, the gym, the pool or the hot tub. Staff was very friendly; cocktails were good. Food was pretty good but not great. Close to the beach. Id go back :)

The bathroom has zero towels bars, only 1 hook behind the door. Not even a place for a hand towel. The door swing practically hits into the toilet. The shampoo/conditioner/bath gel were very nice. But towels were also incomplete-missing a bath mat towel and not enough bath towels for our family. Parking is also ridiculously expensive. It is a great location though - 15-20 min walk to the beach.

All together the experience was very pleasant. If people want a great hotel with amazing staff please look into the Hyatt. Just know you might have to stop by 7-11 for some snacks or drinks.

Great hotel a few blocks from beach and restaurants. The staff were so nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the bikes that they lent us on site and the free games room (pool and shuffleboard).. Will hopefully come back soon!

1.i had Delivery from Amazon not given to me for 4 days and even after checking out despite asking for it several times. Later found out package was kept in manager room desk w/o letting me or other staff to give/ deliver to me in person or to room number again despite checking several times!!! I’m now in LAX airport going to Singapor and package is in hotel front desk

Our room was next to the staff lifts and there was a constant noise from the lifts being used all day until 12 at night. And I was charged Destination fees and was only told 1 day before check in. Attitude of staff members are terrible and they dont care about helping.

Had a great time. Drinks are a bit pricey on the bar but it’s CALI. We road their bikes and walked to the nearby stores. Great location!! Clean room and staff was very helpful and kind. There was a desk associate she was a fair skin I think she had locs in her hair anyway she was really nice hate I can’t remember her name. Ava I think was the name of our waitress for breakfasts and she was accommodating and friendly. There was a dark skinned fellow who worked the desk to help us rent out the bikes. Younger skin fellow. He was very helpful as well. Thanks everyone for a great stay. Rooms were clean food was good and we had to get up early morning for our flight and the night person was up and cleaning the main area doing her job visibly. I hate I can’t name any names but I’m sure their work doesn’t go unnoticed by management.

The hotel was well maintained and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the game room, and my son said the gym was nice. The hotel is in a good location, just down the street from the beach.

All was good but did not like the mandatory 20% service charge on restaurant food. Also there was a mandatory $35 service charge per day for “amenities” none of which we used. Both came as a surprise after we booked and arrived.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel so no comment on that. They did offer complimentary coffee in the morning in the lobby; however, no in room beverages except for water. I got my husband an orange juice to take to the room and it was as much as a gallon at the supermarket. We had lunch in the lobby one day and it took a long time for our order to come out and we were the only people in the restaurant. The rooms have been renovated since the last time I stayed here; however, the bathroom did not have any hooks or towel bars to hang our wet towels on. You can tell that the style that the building was built was popular in the 70s and they did their best to renovate it, but it lacks certain amenities. The staff are friendly and competent and the location is convenient for the beach and airport.

The room was very good. The only thing is that we were charged a “destination fee which I didn’t know about. That really put a damper on a very good stay . It would have been fine if either Expedia or the hotel told me up front. Also I was suppose to get a 20% discount on the restaurant food and I did not . Apparently the destination fee includes a 20% discount but I did not get it .

My room wasn’t ready when I got there at 3:30, so I was told my valet parking would be comped. When I checked out, it was not taken off, I simply inquired about this at the desk and they took it off my bill. I was a bit shocked at the 300$ hold, that seemed excessive, but overall it was a very pleasant weekend and I look forward to staying at this hotel again.

The location is suboptimal - pretty far from the beach. Not much business nearby. The room is small, and no coffee machine and set in the room until we asked. I won’t come back again.

You may think you’re getting a deal for your stay here, but parking is $64 a day. There’s no where else to park so you’re stuck. Then $40 a day “destination fee”… ridiculous.

It’s about a 30-minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier. The location itself is just okay—not great, not terrible—but the hotel was excellent. Super clean, and the highlight was the free bike rentals. That ended up being the best part of our trip since we spent a whole day biking along the LA waterfront.

Nice view. A little rough around the edges for a 4 star. More of a 3 star. Pool was advertised as heated but it wasnt. Also small and overrun with pool toys.

The hotel is right outside a highschool so be prepared to be woken up to the drumline practice at 7am. Valet was advertised as $55 and they charged $64.90; there are no other parking options nearby. There was no coffee in the room. Hotel is clean and beds were nice.

So dated for the location and price. The room was straight out of 1990. Very unimpressed with a hotel I thought was going to be far above average.

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. Firstly, the service from the staff is amazing; the valley at the door help with your bags, all the way to packing them in/out of the car, the receptionists are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel room itself was huge, had a very cute balcony, and the views were amazing. You could see the city, mountains and the ocean. It was very clean and comfortable, including the hotel robe. The pool was nice and warm and clean every day. Very walkable to the pier and shops around Santa Monica. If I come back, this is definitely the hotel I would choose again.

Did not like the stay due to many reasons but mostly the fact that I had a five month old with me and needed just a bottle of water at night and I couldn’t get one from the hotel was unbelievably disrespectful and I have never experienced that at any hotel before shame on you!

Didn't like that only valet parking was available, for $60+/night. Park at Civic Center instead, it's like 2 blocks away. It was a pretty long walk to the Santa Monica pier, but it's a decent neighborhood. Art Deco city hall building, a park with art in it, tree-lined streets, etc. Google told us that they have a sauna & jacuzzi, but they don't. FYI.

The hotel was very clean, and had complimentary deodorant, beach towel rentals, and bicycle rentals. The front desk workers were always polite and helpful with your questions.

The pool advertised is extremely misleading. In reality, it is very small, only allowing a few people at a time, and it is impossible to actually swim in it. The so-called fitness center is just a tiny room with a couple of machines, nothing like what you would expect from a proper gym. The staff, especially those working at night, were rude and unprofessional. While I was outside the hotel using my vape, security ordered me to move to the sidewalk, and the front desk staff were far from welcoming or polite. Although the room itself was fine, the towels were disappointing—they did not feel properly clean or fresh. Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations, and I would strongly suggest looking for other options.

Rooms were not ready for check-in at 3 PM. Also elevators were not working properly and were inconvenient. Took too long to be able to get to the room.

Had multiple issues with HVAC system. Noisy. Wouldn’t come on. One of two guest elevators out of service. Inconvenient. Staff very helpful and responsive.

The valet parking was very inconvenient. Had to wait 30 minutes to get my car. Also needed a cart for my luggage but they needed to supervise everything so carried everything without any luggage cart. Near the pool table there was no ventilation. Also room had no coffee maker or paper cups to make tea. Swimming pool was nice salt water but not heated.

Front desk and concierge were awesome especially Tracy and Alex.

Added charges at the hotel. She asked me to put a card down and said no money would be taken off of it and then $90 worth of service and travel fees were on it

Hotel restaurant menu was limited, and no restaurants were in the immediate vicinity.

silly thing but the soda vending machines arent on every floor and kind of a pain. staff was slow to serve breakfast

Tracey, the front desk staff was horrible. We showed up 30 minutes early to check in, rooms not ready, that’s fine. She’s suppose to call when it is ready. Check ins at 3 though so we didn’t think it was a big deal. 3:10 rolls around and still haven’t heard anything. We go ask Tracey and she says the people in our room aren’t checking out until 5….oooooay, why didn’t you tell us that when we tried to check in earlier? She was also beyond rude and would not let anyone speak. They tried to downgrade our room and offer to waive the property fee and car parking fee. Absolutely not. We left and got a better room at the Jamaican bay inn in marina del Ray.
