Very understaffed. The staff that was there was great but need more help when it got busy, especially at the front desk, checking people in. Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds and very clean.

Never stay at this hotel—it’s a total dump. When we arrived, they didn't even have a room for us, despite the fact that we had made a reservation five days in advance. To make matters worse, they never gave us our refund. It was the absolute worst experience possible

Convenient, clean, pleasant staff. Priced well through booking.com. I’d rather have another comfortable chair or small sofa. Another safety bar in the bathtub! That should be urgent.

Check in time took half an hour, we had to pay for parking, the restaurant that was advertised wasn’t even open yet or the bar, we booked a room with 2 queen bed and were given a room with one bed 2x. Third time was the charm….

There are no real services available. No restaurant, no water available at concessions - somewhat disappointing. Seems like a high price for a budget stay.

we were checked out 3 times “accidentally” during our stay, meaning our keys stopped working. Check in took hours. Rude staff.we ran out of toilet paper(1 roll) day 2 and had to go get it ourselves from downstairs. Cleaners took and didn’t replace towels.

I was disappointed that we asked for our room to be cleaned but they said they were understaffed and we didn't even get clean towels. the sheets and pillowcases had stains them.

They have no employees and the employees that they have are clueless. It was a dirty hotel with stains on towels and sheets and hair in the bathrooms. They have drain issues and toilet issues as well.

The property is under renovation but that did not affect the stay at all. I was able to check in a bit early, which was helpful. My room was clean, the staff was curteous, the overnight stay was good.

Parking was easy, had some issues with the room, the conditioner and body soap dispenser was empty. Our room did not recieve any services the entire time we were there...

Charged for self parking, rooms were decent but could tell the renovations or repairs were temporary patches.

There is a nice lake in front of the hotel, which is basically part of an office park. The surrounding area is safe, good for walking, etc. The hotel is near John Wayne Airport, South Coast Plaza, offices in the Costa Mesa Business District, and about five miles from Newport Beach. The staffers are also nice and helpful.

I rented two rooms under 1 reservation and I had to do 2 room deposits instead of 1 which was a little unexpected. amenities were nice and clean!

I made a deposit of $150 in cash and stayed for two weeks in one room then I had to check out and check into the same hotel but change the rooms so when I was changing the rooms, my wife left some makeup stains on the bedsheets in a couple of towels so that’s all washable but they charged me $150 for bedsheets and for some towels and still could not show me the dirty ones that they’re saying it didn’t wash off. It’s just un unfair, unprofessional, money, hungry I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on with this hotel.

A few things to know. The bathroom is tight and not the easiest to move around in. The property is in the middle of renovations, and some areas of the hotel have strong industrial odors that were almost overwhelming. Thankfully, my room could be closed off enough that the smell didn’t seep in. The AC/heater is an older wall unit and runs loud. There are also no real services on-site — no morning coffee setup, no restaurant, no room service. The hotel is between brand names right now, so it has a quirky, transitional feel. For the price, I don’t regret staying here, but I wouldn’t return because of the odors and the lack of basic execution. It’s budget-friendly, but still has a way to go.

Nice hotel, but the Barhroom was dirty, there was a lot of noise, parties at the rooms with loud music at 11pm! I’ll never going to stay there again!

The hotel, room, and area is beautiful, yes, peaceful to sit by the lake and watch the ducks… but with the customer service and staff as poor and lacking as it was. It’s not worth returning I no longer recommend this hotel

The staff was friendly, easy to park, just the parking fee $24 per day is too high. A/C unit no way to adjust the temperature and made the loud sounds. The fridge was not cleaned.

Wonderful stay

Tucked away off of the main highway. Rooms are newly renovated & super spacious and comfortable.

I liked everything about this hotel—the only downside was the very noisy AC. I would have given 5 stars, but the loud noise was quite annoying. Without the AC, it felt very humid.

Everything was amazing...accept the parking situation..they charge first of all...and then the lot they provide is not big enough so cars are just randomly parked in zones..and handicap ect..its very weird...and if u dont find a parking...not sure what they do for ya..Very clean room.Nice and helpful staff. Even the security guard was very nice.

Lake view is the highlight and the cleanliness of our suite. Close to freeways and restaurants. Definitely we are planning to come back

Made reservations 48 hrs in advance, got to the hotel @ 9pm ready to rest and come to find out they have over booked the place and my reservations were canceled without previous notice... couldn't find another hotel due to the time ... it was the WORST experience ever. Not reliable hotel.

The customer service was really nice and attentive. The room was nice and clean. But, the hotel would be better with a microwave.

It was okay. Our towels were changed daily but in our five night stay, they did not once change our glasses and failed to restock the coffee cups and coffee.

- 100% clean, not a single stray hair or cleanliness issue found in the room or elsewhere in the hotel. - Light colors in the hotel room made it feel more expansive than it was. - Manager was nice and fixed my check-in issue immediately. Cons: - This was a big one for me and would prevent me from staying here again. Not a single window in the hotel room opens and it gets far too hot not to use the AC, but you also don't want the AC running all day long bc it ends up getting too cold just running constantly and it's also pretty loud. (I stayed in May for context.) Without the AC on, the air in the hotel room was thick and felt super stuffy with warm air. There is a lack of central air throughout the hotel (each room has an individual unit), so not being able to open windows was even more unhealthy than it would have been if there was at least central air. My boyfriend and I found it hard to breath if the AC was off both during the day as well as at night. Super, super unhealthy with us both having to breathe in CO2 and I can only imagine how much harder it would be to have even more people sharing a room. Additionally, there was an AC by the elevators but still no central air, so the entire hallway also felt overly warm and stuffy.

Specifically the staff is impeccable. Everybody deserves a raise. Tyler, Rachel, Lynn and all the housekeepers. Whoever hired these people..A . The atmosphere inside the hotel is clean quiet cant complain. Again Tyler youre the man and all the staff thanks for making myself and my lady feel so welcomed there. Thanks

It was recently taken over by new management. We used to like this one but we won't be back. There are sketchy people hanging around the lobby and parking lot.

The venue was clean and nice plus newly renovated. We missed the chocolate chip cookies. We are also bummed about the parking fees.

The area was perfectly located for easy access to the airport and fairgrounds. Also surrounded by lots of enthnic restaurants and shopping. The beds were super cozy, clean and comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious. The view of the lake was fantastic. The pool and hot tub were exactly what we needed after a long grueling hot day with tons of walking and shopping. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Really like a property except for the bathroom door. I had such difficulty closing the sliding door, it did not close smoothly.

I was looking for a last minute stay with my partner in between busy work days. We found this hotel close to John Wayne airport. It was fairly priced and met all our needs. It seems to be getting some updates. I look forward to staying here again and seeing how it evolves!

We traveled with a group for a youth baseball tournament. We discover upon arrival that the pool, restaurant and bar were closed because of lack of staffing. It took us 3 room changes to get the king size room that we reserved. When we settled in, we noticed the toilet wasn't clean and there were exposed electrical wires. They offered to move us again, but we were tired from traveling, and tired of already moving 3:times. We discovered the next morning while showering that the shower gel was empty. On our way to the elevator, we asked housekeeping, who was in the hallway to please replace it, but it didn't get done. Housekeeping was closed by the time we got back, but a gentleman at the front desk came through for us.

There was NO restaurant on the property even though they advertised a restaurant and bar. The front desk said they closed because they had no chef. They said there was food a 5 or 10 minute walk. I wasn’t taking a sketchy walk at night so I did without dinner.

I didn't like that the pool hot tub and restaurant we're not open during our stay. I also didn't like that the staff were talking to themselves and completely ignored me when I first arrived.

The staff was not friendly

A/C sounds like a freight train, windows are thin so you hear the freeway, pool and hot tub were out of service, and a constant running vent in the bathroom that never shuts off. Motion sensor bathroom lights that shut off when you shower leaving you in the dark.

Met my needs, location was perfect, starbucks, dining and convenience stores within walking distance.

Great location and great price for our quick stay. They are going through a change of name and there is no name to the hotel as of yet. They have done many new upgrades, nice gym (peloton) doesn't work, pool going the remodel. Just wish people won't smoke weed in the rooms, elevators, smell lingers terrible and just rude. Hotel staff try to stay on top of it with cleaning and leaving the elevators doors open to air out smell.

We called the hotel before we booked and were told the pool and hottub were in service. When we arrived to check in we weren’t greeted, the employee wasn’t friendly at all he didn’t explain anything to us, the lobby smelled greatly like marijuana. As we arrived in our room we had zero toilet paper & our sink was clogged. We then realized the pool and hottub were out of service. Not once during our stay did the cleaners clean our room or restock it. We are extremely disappointed and will not be back! if i could give 0 stars i would. horrible experience!!! There also isn’t even a name on the building like what kind of hotel has no name on the outside of the building! kind of ridiculous for the price of our stay!

While the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating, the first room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned. Hair all over the sink, what looked like dog food on the ground, and a pile of dirty towels in the room. They did switch our room upon request to a clean room, however it was unfortunate to have to go through that after a full day of traveling.

They came back on the line and said they needed an additional $49.00 to confirm the reservation. I disputed why when they already charged my card and they advised that the room rate had gone up. I talked to the front desk at the hotel and they advised this was not true. I tried to cancel immediately and they advised that $264.00 charge would be posted. I did not stay at the hotel and will contest the charges through my Visa card. NEVER use a third party such as Hotel.com. Book directly with the hotel.

I wish coffee or tea was available all day. Even in a coffee station would have been nice since the breakfast place closed at 9:30. Parking fee was expensive. I never understood why this is charged where do you think people would park? This should be fee to guests. My big pet peeve. Its nickle and diming people. As a member this makes me crazy. There is no benefit in being a member. We could here the couple in the next room over so some updating would be nice for sound proof.

Hello, it is not possible that they charge extra for parking and do not give you the room you requested, saying that it is not available when you leave and see that the hotel is alone.

Parking is too high, staff never offered the cookies, staff charged three of my cards and then stated it wasn’t their fault, lady who checked us into the hotel stated the bottled water was free in our room, but we knew she was lying.

Check in was easy , gave me and my party adjoining rooms as requested......rooms were nice but pocket door was hard to close at times....Did not offer us cookies, I thought that was this hotels thing......

Perfect room

The outdoors of the property was beautiful and quiet. The staff were okay and attentive. The parking lot was very full at night and too expensive. The second floor smelled of something burning from the AC at the elevator and told staff but it smelled all weekend. Glad we left with no fire. No microwave in whole hotel which was a bummer. Not sure if I will stay there again

-Easy Parking; - beautiful location to sit, work and walk by the pond of water w ducks; - fantastic food walking distance from hotel. - was able to workout in the gym w great equipment Only issue was-- the front desk clerk seemed GONE most of the morning into afternoon. Repeatedly saw a "be back soon" sign. So i withheld my questions about things like a later check out and sort of did what i wanted. Thank you for a great stay.
