Bathrooms could use some repair and updating. Room nice and large.

The hotel definitely needs some maintenance and repairs done. The outside hallways need more lightning, the outside walkways need to be repaired so guests can walk without tripping. The room we stayed in needed the carpet replaced it had stains and what appeared to be burn marks. The outlets weren’t working properly and the lamps were not staying on, nor were our devices charging properly. The couch, and the curtains were stained. The bathroom slider door would not stay closed, maybe adding a small latch would help. Overall the hotel has the potential to be a great hotel.

Location Sink was clogged, tv didn’t work

The room was updated and spacious. The breakfast had tons of comfortable spaces indoors and outside for people eating once they got their food. Employees were friendly. Hot Tub/Pool area had extra towels there which is always nice. Parking was plentiful and well lit so it felt safer than other motel parking lots can feel sometimes. The bed was rock hard and made sleep difficult unfortunately. Also, where they set up the breakfast area is very tight and crowded with people running into each other and the steamed food was soggy and mushy and not cooked as well as other comparable continental free motel breakfasts -especially the hashbrowns were just one giant undercooked blob. There's so much space in the lobby and breakfast dining area, there's no need for the buffet area to be so cramped and crowded.

Location Room was so dirty, furniture old and full of stains. Bathroom sink had mold and was not draining. My TV remote was not working i had to call the front desk 3 times it took them 2 days to come and fix it and the guy that came had an horrible attitude, Ireport the mold on the sink he didn't even care. I ask for an extra pillow and a blanket never received it. At breakfast one of the ladies working there was making comments saying disgusting people I wonder how there homes look like. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

It's a hit and miss with the rooms. Some rooms could definitely use a rehaul, albeit in fairness, the renovated rooms are really nice. The staff, for me, is the main draw. Everyone is nice and helpful. Breakfast is decent .

The staff was friendly and helpful, and housekeeping did a good job. The room was comfortable, although having an extra blanket available in the room would have been appreciated. My main feedback is regarding the breakfast. The hash browns were a bit mushy, the eggs seemed overcooked, and it would be nice to have pancakes offered as an option in addition to waffles. Overall, this is a solid choice for travelers looking for an affordable, pet-friendly hotel with good service.

Roaches there's always roaches

I stayed many hotels around this particular area, and I like this hotel the best. Clean, the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Very convenient location to anywhere.

Cleanliness is a basic expectation when staying at a hotel, and unfortunately this property failed to meet that standard. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to housekeeping and maintenance.

The carpet was wet, very wet.

Specially enjoyed the free breakfast and the dining area was large and accommodating. Also, the 24-hour hot beverage was a plus. Lots of room and tables in the swimming pool/garden area. Plenty of parking for the most part and I felt my car was safe. The swimming pool was clean but cold so it might not be heated. My wife tried the hot tub but it was luke warm and many of the jets were not working so it was not worth the effort.

Eggs (watery) and sausage. Waffles good. Parking included and location was very good. When we turned down our beds, it looked as though someone had slept in it. There was hair on the sheets. Apparently the housekeeper did not change the sheets. We had to request clean bedding. Red stains on the carpet. Something red smudged on the wall of the bathroom vanity. Brown drip marks on bathroom floor.

Your reception staff. The facility is rundown. Our room was filthy and had a musty odor. Our TV did not work. Our request for maintenance for the television was not answered. Embarrassing experience will not seek out La Quinta again.

We were transferred to 3 rooms within the hotel because of how unsanitary and unsafe all three rooms were. Will provide photos but the photos absolutely do not do justice to how disgusting these rooms are. •1st room: we were exposed to mold in the room. The entire room has a horrible stench. •2nd room: door lock was broken, we did not feel safe •3rd room: my kids have laid in the blanket that was not cleaned. It had blood, and what looked like feces and urine. We could tell it wasn’t washed because there were some texture to it. Shower ceiling had a hole and was leaking. The rooms were absolutely horrendous and felt angry and disgusted after discovering those. We weren’t even able to sleep in the room and had to sleep in our car. We ended up needed to find another hotel for the last night of our trip. They are refusing to send me a full refund. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

The room was dated. The sliding door to the bathroom would not stay closed and had no lock. We had to wedge something in it to keep it closed. The sleeper sofa was very worn and no blanket or pillow was in the trim for it. We called the front desk and it took about an hour to get pillows. When I asked about the blanket they said they had none and they would look and let me know. They never got back to me. My 8 year old son slept with his clothes on and a sheet for a blanket.

Staff were very courteous!! Other hotels were around this property and was in a great place to park your vehicle.

The young girls behind the check in desk were not very helpful and provided poor customer service. You had to pry everything out of them as they would not try to be friendly and help you out. There are many hotel choices all around this hotel, all within walking distance. Next time, I would definately stay at a different hotel next door.

The rooms have been updated, and the location is next to the freeway. I have had no issues with my stays at this hotel. The hotel had available rooms and breakfast in the morning.

The hotel should remove the "smoke free hotel" signs. People smoke cigarettes and pot in their rooms day and night and it gets even worse throughout the parking lot. I got a headache for 2 days due to the smoke coming through. The receptionist offered to mask the disgusting odor with some kind of spray, but just covering it up wasn't going to resolve the issue. I requested to be moved into another room. I don't plan to go back there at all!

Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel room wasn’t as clean as I expected. We had stained sheets on the bed.

But the room is not as advertised.It's old, it needs a complete remodeled.It smell like Dracula's coffin, it was moldy Dark dank and dated lumpy bed, and it wasn't just our room.Because we had multiple rooms at this location with other family members So disappointed

Positives, the room is clean and they did a decent job with the interiors. The continental breakfast was also much better than I thought it was going to be with the waffle maker, eggs, and sausage included. The location is also pretty convenient and the pricing was great. The beds are also comfortable enough and it's nice having a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. Parking is also generous with large spaces. Negatives, the exterior of the building is definitely showing its age. It looks decent from 1000 feet away, but the closer you get the more you can see that the buildings need more than just paint. If you get a room near the pool expect to be up till after 10 PM as those windows are definitely single pane, so the large group of people that were hanging out at the Jacuzzi with music playing almost felt like they were in the room. Overall, it's fine and I would crash there again at the right price.

The area of the property they moved me to feels like a cheap $25 a night hostel in Mexico. The outdoor walkways are buckling and in dire need of repair! I’m definitely never staying here again.

The room said had I love c*ck written into it and had semen on the floor so they moved me into a different room that had stab wounds in the couch. I figured that was at the very least better. It has been 3 days since my stay and I still havent recieved my deposit back either and I left the room spotless.

Our room furnishings were shabby. The mirror had been removed from the wall and the hardware was still in place. The cushions on the sofa bed were torn and frayed. One cushion had been placed zipper side out to hide the large tear. Parking was adequate. Breakfast was mediocre. Coffee was very weak, even the French Roast. The shower was good. But I was very disappointed. I took photos of the room condition and showed the front desk. Presumably the manager will contact me.

Big room

Popcorn was on the floor near the couch. Refrig was pulled outside into the middle of the room and TV remote was missing. Otherwise, everything else is excellent and breakfast is very good (but not excellent)

I was disappointed in the stay was falling apart and it had mold and wood was lifting I had to switch rooms and there was one roach in the bathroom both rooms were horrible. I expected more for being wydom and Orange County I had always stayed with this hotel in other states or when traveling but this one was not good especially mold in the restroom.

I always stay here because everyone in the staff is so nice. Property could definitely use an upgrade, but it's clean. Gym could use more equipment, and weights were sadly lacking.

AC works well though the AC water drips down the hallways/corridor. Parking is easy and safe, well lighted and clean. Lots of pet area to do their businesses. They maintain their lawns well. Complimentary breakfast is also good, you have options to choose. Though the Monday dining lady who oversee the breakfast buffet is rude which is the opposite from the weekend lady who’s very friendly and courteous. She’s a bit aggressive in telling people how to operate the waffle maker. Stare at people awkwardly. Moved/pushing the chairs under the tables hard, with force, like she’s really having a bad day. She even locked some guest in the serving area because it’s 9am already, which ends serving the breakfast. It would be better if she inform the last guests who came in in the buffet area that she will close the doors and give them time to get their food, not by just leaving them locked in for like 5 minutes. We will definitely book another stay here soon.

Outdated rooms, but clean. Noisy air conditioning and low water pressure on the toilet bowl. Staff are okay nice and helpful. Good breakfast selections just need an oatmeal station and needs variety of fruits aside from apples. Exellent parking can't complain.

Understandable that the hotel wants to reduce water waste & detergent down the drain which is why they only switch out towels & sheets every 3 days. But I stayed longer than 3 days & they did not change out my towels or bedding. They also never took out the trash in my room or came in to wipe anything down. I don’t feel like being economy friendly should be an excuse to not clean the rooms at all period.

Our bathroom ceiling had a big mold area, mold around the tub. The bathroom fan was not working and no switch for it. The room had musty smell. The windows were old.

The rooms air conditioning didn't work. I reported it and they said they sent repairman to fix it, but the air conditioner still didn't work . The room was almost un-livable. On the good side, The lobby staff was excellent.

It was a last minute booking for me because I had to go on another flight. I appreciated the availability and customer service, but the room was not the best.

Back breaking bed. My wife and I had to sleep on the edges of the bed on each side cuz the middle sinks in. The mattresses need to be changed. I tried 3 different bedrooms and they were all the same sinking in the middle

The staff makes this place - we requested a 1st floor room a week before our arrival and we checked in late at 4AM and Lidia at front desk was a rock star. Had everything prepared for us even though we were a WAY late arrival and she saved us a 1st floor room that was so lovely. We stay here four or five times a years to visit family and we always have a great stay. Can't say enough about our go to La Quinta in the OC.

The rooms were dirty. I paid extra for early check in and wasted most of that time having to switch rooms due to a water leak in the first room.

The room was in all right condition. It had a little stench when I walked in not a bad smell that I couldn’t handle other than that. Everything else was fine except for the representative that helped me on the form. Multiple times was very rude. I called before I booked the room to see if they had rooms available And she told me she didn’t know. I was a little confused on how she would not know that there wasn’t any rooms available I called a second time to ask her the same question she put me on hold on purpose for an excessive amount of time until I hung up and called for a third time and somebody else answered I called the fourth time to ask a different question and she still couldn’t give me answers that I needed. I was this close to not booking because of her her name is Lydia by the way, very bad representative almost felt like she didn’t even wanna work there.

First of all, as we first walked into the room, we felt like the room was neglected and we saw stains on the furniture, the bedding, the bathroom floor was wet and on the towels in the bathroom. The volume on the tv was not working so we didn’t even bother to call for that. The shower wasn’t properly cleaned overall. The walls were too thin, we could literally hear everything the people were talking about next door. All in all, I really don’t know what else to say. I’m sure this hotel can do better.

The room smelled like cigarettes and the rooms aren’t cleaned unless you let the staff know 24 hours in advance.

When using the bathroom water the stinks water coming out smelled dirkly. I willnt recommend this hotel to anyone.

Everything about this stay was awful. We’re so glad we took our white noise machine otherwise the PITBULL barking in the room next to ours would’ve kept us and our 7 month old awake all night! The room was filled with mosquitoes, roaches and flies. The baseboards in the restrooms were quiet literally disintegrating and covered in mold. Soon afternoon checking in we witness what looked to be a ‘deal’ and the same happened when we walked out in the morning.

The bedding was dirty, I have photos. The ceiling had mold growing on it, and there was actual blood on the bathroom floor. I was moved to a new room that had red splashes of something on the bathroom walls, and mold growing on the ceiling as well, I took photos of everything. The stains on the furniture and floors were terrible and overall the rooms were just disgusting. I will take this hotel off of my favorites list going forward and stay elsewhere.

This is not a three-star hotel. One star maybe one and a half stars at best. Stains all over the carpet. Tiny, dinky bathroom with sink attached to the wall. Really they just put updated flooring down and left everything else original. Toilet plugged multiple times and never plugs for us at home. Pretty sure there was drug dealing going on in the parking lot and around the perimeter of the hotel. People were smoking cigarettes and pot in nearly every hallway and entrance. So even though there are signs saying we are 100% smoke-free there was smoke smell everywhere and no enforcement of smoking areas. The hallways were also filled with people talking yelling or just generally making noise. No matter what floor you pushed elevator stopped at every floor and second elevator had no buttons that lit up. Do not be deceived by the pictures, I sure was.

The staff was great. Check-in was simple. However there were two(known) men stalking my wife. Taking pictures of her and waiting by our car. I paid for late checkout but we are leaving earlier than expected because we don’t feel safe.

Not to mention the terrible smell of marijuana throughout the unit, with many people smoking inside and outside the rooms near our unit, and the smell is constant, entering through the air conditioning and polluting the entire room. I really enjoyed the layout of the room. It was like a mini suite with a pullout couch. Everything you can need. I ended up staying a few weeks. The couch was dirty though, and the carpet wasn’t too clean. The staff was very nice. I didn’t really get to check out the amenities besides doing laundry, which. A ridiculous amount of money for one. Load that didn’t even dry all the way.. other than that I actually really enjoyed staying at this property. And I hope to stay there again if I decide to get a room somewhere.

breakfast eggs were bad tasting like not real eggs, everything else was good. coffee machine did not have the right stuff to make the coffee and when I complained they said "WE DON'T KNOW" ... Staff was good. Dog S*&^ was outside of our room, Dog next room over..

The staff was consistently friendly to us, and the complimentary breakfast was enjoyable. the staff is always kind to us and the complimentary breakfast was good.

They refused to provide a sofa bed or move us to another room, claiming the hotel was fully booked, even though we later witnessed another guest being relocated. Their suggested solution was to pile blankets and pillows on the floor and call it a bed. To make matters worse, there were serious safety issues. Another guest complained that someone was inside their locked room, and later that night police were called to our floor to remove individuals who were not hotel guests. Unacceptable service, dishonesty, and safety concerns. I will never stay at this hotel chain again.

Coming to breakfast not too many option same menu sometime they close one heating pan saying out of service. I have stayed with La-quinte before it was really good during that time. Keep those in mind I booked this but I totally disappointed

Putrid pee odor in the carpet, shower gel fell off the wall, banging & stomping noise, blow dryer quit, breakfast hours, exercise room broken equipment, not enough, water everywhere in walk way, outside walls & doors dirty. Quarters for laundry issue. You walk in & smell pee, lay in the bed & pee from the carpet.

The first one was extremely strong of tobacco smell The second room, the shower drain was blocked. Wasn’t working -n- the mattress was extremely old. You can feel the frame on your body. I call for service and ask them if they can move me to a different room with a better mattress or change that mattress, they didn’t even apologize. They say I’m sorry we’re booked no rooms available to change you to a different room., On the third one, the shower was working, but the mattress was horrible to extremely old filling the mattress frame on my body, was really hard to fall asleep.. I called them again and asked if they can change the mattress.. They were very un polite guests ,

The room appeared to be in acceptable condition, it was clean upon arrival. Definitely showing some signs of wear, probably needs an update soon. The biggest issue was the mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, which seems to be a common issue according to other reviews. It was fine for a few nights, definitely wish I was more taken care of.

Upon being assigned to room 240 I discovered that the TV had no signal. When I called the front desk, I was offered a different room, 219. Again NO TV SIGNAL. Then they offered a third room 258 and guess what? Once again NO TV SIGNAL. At that point, I asked for a refund, which could not be authorized due to no management on duty. I DID NOT STAY. I ended up staying at Best Western across the street. I could not be more dissatisfied with La Quinta. Horrible experience. All I want is my money refunded. Please. Sincerely, Mark Cardinal

Mold everywhere, no soap shampoo or conditioner. I asked for antoher room and the area where this room was not safe but i had not choice but to stay because it was too late.

Room was clean, carpet shows some stains but not major, everything works as expected, ample space, comfortable bed, good work space, very nice for the price paid, good breakfast included with many tables available in the breakfast area. Room has a fridge and a microwave oven, located not far from Orange County Airport . Staff is very friendly, nothing to complaint about.

The room was awful. I took several photos. The carpet was so stained we were afraid to walk on it. The couch was torn and ripped and the legs of the couch were all scratched from animals! The king bed looked nice but upon getting in to it the mattress flopped down in the middle so we rolled into the center of it. There was a terrible old desk with broken edges and chipped holes. Omg never again.

We had a rough night. The people next to us not sure if they were having a party or what not. Called the front desk and told them people next door were been load all night literally till like 3 am. All they did is send the security and they came all 3 times we called but not once did anything about it they did knock on our door all 3 times not sure for what. And I had two lottle daughters it was really bad. Not staying here ever again and by the way the lady in the front desk attitude when I was calling.

Everything was worth our stay for my family and myself

The hotel needs many repairs, cleaning and better furnishings. For example the handicap restrooms near the pool are out service, the firepits in the patio are not working, carpeting in the rooms need cleaning and shampooing. My room had a sofa couch with several tears and the furniture was severely scratched and worn out from animal damage.

The breakfast was not very good, (eggs were mush and not cooked well, hashbrowns were basically mush and gross to be honest). The room wasn't in the best condition, ripped up cushions, the wall paneling was peeling/coming off, and the shower was installed wrong where the neck of it was pointed more towards the wall so showering was awkward. The hot tub looked like it really needed to be drained and cleaned thoroughly, not just adding chemicals to "clean it", the water legitimately looked green/yellowish, and we didn't use either the hot tub or the pool for the 8 days of our trip which was a bit of a let down. Would I stay there again? no, but for the price of doing LA on a budget like we did its alright if you can look past some things, but there are better places around the area. AK was really helpful !

Had a last minute stay after a flight was canceled. We were happy they got us right in and had some toothbrushes (as we had thrown our travel ones away already). Very happy with shuttle to the airport.

Clean room, staff was very nice. Only problem was the tv was so small for the room. Also asked for handicapped room and it was but on the 2nd floor not exactly easy for someone with a heart conditions. Over all very happy with our stay.

Did not feel safe. There were a number of people experiencing homelessness and what looked like drug activity in the area. Such individuals would walk on property and even on upper floors. Saw one security guard only once during entire stay. Staff was kind and did try to help when they could.

Stay was great. Only issue was breakfast. No variety and the toaster was broken. So there was a long line to use a different toaster.

Hotel very clean, friendly helpful staff. Pool and patio area inviting. Only issues was calling the hotel for free shuttle ride from the airport was difficult. No one answered on website number unless it was for reservation. Then sent to another wrong number. Finally got through with right number from an airport staff person.

There is a strong smell of bleach to cover the smell of cigarrettes. All through the night that is what we inhaled and the sheets were itchy. I will not book another hotel room with La Quinta because of the conditions of the room. But the breakfast was good, just not enough room where we get the food.

I was very disappointed in my stay. This was my 3rd stay here and definitely my last. One of the staff came to room to drop off a crib, was super rude. I greeted him and he ignored me and never even made eye contact. I said thank you and he just ignored me and left. The room was dirty and beds were super uncomfortable. There was a lot of homeless people on the grounds. Even in the breakfast lounge area, two men were stealing food. Just didn’t feel safe. At night someone was blasting music in the parking lot.

Overall it was a great stay beautiful interior. The pull out sofa bed was horrible and there were a few street dogs making a mess by the trash area outside hotel but overall ok. I would stay again but making sure I sleep on a bed.

the air conditioner was working all the time and it was impossible to turn it off, the buttons didn't work, they promised to fix it the next day, but no one came, we had to open the window so it wouldn't be so cold, there was no screen on the window and at 5 am someone tried to get into the room. after that we couldn't sleep.

Bathroom wasn’t as clean as it should be, linens had stains and the breakfast wasn’t great.

Bed bugs, confirmed by a medical professional (a friend I saw did examine my 2 bug bites). I had to ask three times for the room to be switched. I don't think it was taken seriously in the first place. Plus nobody seemed apologetic even though I had two bad bug bites!

I had an issue with the Flushing of the toilet. You have to pull up to flush.

Loved our one night stay! Felt safe & secure knowing we parked right outside our room. Only thing is we wanted to stay at this specific hotel because it had propane fire pits & when we got there it looked like they hadn’t been turned on in months & when we called the office they said they’ve been broken. & the bathroom doors aren’t doors but the sliding ones with gaps. Wish we would have seen that! But staff were great & the room was clean & cozy.

Was on third floor and had to come back down and get new key cards almost every time in and out of room. Under average bed pillows. The fire pits didn't work. There were dangerous looking people around property. Breakfast was same every day and not many choices. Not enough choices for items to buy in small market area. Paint in room was chipped, and the room smelled like mold/mildew. While I was visiting I heard there was a recent murder there, and I wonder if they assigned that room to me and my family.

1st, I never received my wake up call and that could have caused me to miss my work morning event. Secondly, I come back to my room late on Saturday night and see that the bath tub has some back sewage so the hotel has to move me to another room. I never asked for a refund, because I don’t want to be seen or viewed as a customer wanting to milk the system, so I didn’t……..but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED that neither one of the front desk employees offered me a free night for the future or simply como my stay. I’m in a customer service field, and this was one of those instances to offer that up in order to show the customer your empathy for the two unfortunate situations that your hotel and staff caused. I don’t care to stay there again. I hope this hotel sees this review in order to realize their short comings of this weekends stay.

Good price for the room size. Quiet location near the airport and Irvine. Breakfast was included and had all the normal items to get your day going!

Very clean! Good breakfast, although a home made salsa would be a plus. Front desk is polite and very prompt. Our only downside experience is that our key was deactivated 2 of the 3 nights there.

Property is outdated not very well maintained. But the staff and service was good.

The faucet in the bathroom did not work consistently - you had to press down constantly for several minutes, up to 10 minutes, to get water to come out. The front desk said that the "motor" needed to warm up. There were only two tissues in the box. There is little insulation in the walls - you can hear the people in a nearby room and they are only talking.

The room was cute, but the cleanliness was poor. Our bathroom was moldy and the walls were dirty. The chair inside the room was stained with red. The signal of the tv went out, when we called they pretty much said they couldn’t do nothing about it. Paying 200 plus I expected more.

The outdoor garden area had lovely landscaping and was perfect for relaxing in between the vacation activities.

This hotel needs a complete make over and deep cleaning. Room 254 smelled so bad like cigarettes that i couldn't sleep all night. The sofa in this room was horrible, dirty, stained and riped. The pool is a huge hazard. Tiles broken, dirty and not maintain. I would not recommend or will i ever stay in a Quinta inn again. Sorry but it was horrible experience.

This property says it’s handicapped accessible but it’s really not. The sink is not accessible if you are in a wheelchair, it’s too high. The shower did have a seat, but it had to be strong-armed open and was on opposite side of the shower controls. Also, the rack on the bathroom door was so heavy that the door would not stay open and several times closed on my wife as she tried to go through. Worst of all was the absolute travesty of a bed that we spent all that money on. We both woke up in worse pain than we fell asleep in. Every. Single. Night. Also every night there were people rummaging through the garbage can. It was bad enough that I tried to book other rooms at different hotels. But it being 4th of July nothing was available

Staff was great, but the property is kind of a dump. Room smelled bad, lots of stains, and a lot of amenities were out of order. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Not so friendly front desk staff but adequate. Didn't appear all that crowded but was put in a room shopping a dingy corridor with a view of a transformer and barking dogs all night.

Manager and staff were very attentive and helpful with our needs.

We booked a room with King bed. Got a room with 2 Queen beds. Took 45 minutes for them to change our room. No microwave. Lousy breakfast. No amenities. Hotel needs painting and other repairs.

It was good my air didn’t work or my TV but the maintenance man David was on it and fixed it and showed me where the ice machine was and offered his help if I needed.

There was black mold in tub and the sink, the staff moved us to another room, which we didn't inspect there was black mold in the sink, a long with the black mold on the ceiling, paint bubbling from no fan running in the bathroom, in which was fixed while we stayed. The front of the la quinta inn is nice and updated, but once you walk through the lobby, it looks like the night life can come through and run the night. The staff was super friendly and very great, but I will most likely never stay here again, we had another stay planned in August, which we will go somewhere else now.
