    Day 1 coming out of the elevator, the hallway on the second floor smell like weed(STRONG). Ask for bed sheets and all that because the sofa bed didn’t have anything, they brought some bed sheets(not enough) no pillows. The lady said she was going to bring pillows and never did. Called the front desk a few times with no answer. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Day 2, got ln the elevator to go down and the elevator smell like dog pee really bad odor

    Stayed here overnight to fly out on Allegiant. Hotel staff was friendly, you can pay to long term park your car here and use the shuttle. Our flight was canceled and the hotel staff that picked us back up and refunded our parking were just as friendly and helpful.

    The room was ok clean! Not what I expected from Best Western Plus, disappointed! However, the 2 morning staff we had interactions with were amazing. Not sure what the gentleman’s name at check out was but he was so friendly and would probably put a smile on a person that was upset! The lady that was working the breakfast also drove the shuttle to the airport! She’s was extremely nice and helpful.

    The lady who drives the shuttle bus was such a sweetheart, because of her will will return! She needs a raise. The bathroom wasn't clean, water in the tub was leaking and there was this terrible widely from the water pipes I assume. I would just get to sleep and it would start and wake me up.

    I loved the goodies that the front desk had for everyone. I loved the sweet and fruit options. I didn’t like that there was not a good spot for animals to go to the bathroom other than the Patrick grass that is right by the road and there weren’t trash cans out front to throw away any pet waste. My room was not the cleanest. I dropped my dogs medication and I went to get it from under the bed and there was candy and old cups. The breakfast wasn’t all the best either not very many choices and not a lot of places to sit. My boyfriend spent most of the day going in and out of the bathroom after eating breakfast.

    It was a place to sleep overnight before our flight. The bathtub didn’t have a plug, which was inconvenient for giving my granddaughter a bath after our last day at the beach. I had to plug it with a washcloth. The staff checking us in were very friendly & helpful with anything we needed.

    Very friendly staff! The 2 ladies in the evening shift were very nice and helpful. Loved the updates of the room, but I wish they’d put more attention into some deep cleaning as they do the modern furniture or lighting. Our room smelled VERY musty! We ended up buying room spray and an air freshener for the room to try to disguise it a little (and you shouldn’t have to do that at a hotel) If we were staying longer than one night, I would’ve definitely wanted a new room. Bummed about the pool too…I can deal with the fact it’s right smack dab in the front of the hotel, it’s that it didn’t have any chairs or lounges! That’s definitely a first for me, why have a pool.

    After being in the room for just one night- we had several flea bites on us. They need to not allow dogs in rooms with carpet and treat the building for fleas. The pool is in front of the hotel in the parking lot with no place to sit except for benches. If you need a one night cheap place to stay- other than fleas- it was fine. The staff were wonderful.

    The hotel served its purpose. The staff was wonderful! The place was kept clean, the rooms are newly renovated, and there were places to eat around it. I was looking forward to hanging out at the pool however it’s in the middle of the parking lot with no chairs or tables around it so that was a very big disappointment.

    The room was very clean as were the other areas of the hotel we saw on our short stay. The room was very comfortable and roomy. Staff was helpful. The only downside was the shuttle service can only carry 7 people so we had to uber to the airport. Perhaps booking the shuttle service with the room would have secured us a spot. Would definitely stay there again for traveling through that area.

    I stayed over Saturday night. Ate a nice hot breakfast Sunday morning and checked out. When I went to my car, it wouldn’t start. I saw Keith, the hotel’s courtesy driver, and asked him to look at it. He obliged and said my battery was dead. He said there was an auto supply store across the street. I went, got jumper cables, and he jumped his car with my car. It started right up. Keith was my hero that Sunday. He was extremely helpful and competent—he’s a wonderful addition to your staff.     We stayed overnight and had a pleasant experience. Gentlemen at the front desk was friendly and kind. Room was modern and somewhat clean. The floor was clearly not washed and I did pull out 2 hairs out of my bedding but I can’t complain as the location was perfect and there was not a lot of options in the Stanford/orlando airport area. I would definitely come back!

    Clean room. I was charged for 4 rooms when I only used 2. I was not asked when I checked in if I wanted all 4. When I received my bill, I called the hotel and was told that they couldn't do anything because I had booked on Booking.com. I've turned it into my credit card company. Also when I called, the women I spoke with the VERY RUDE and hung up on me. I did receive another call from a very pleasant young women who told me I needed to talk to Booking.com.

    Well breakfast was okay. The same thing everyday the muffins were stale. The coffee was strong. He just things weren't the best as far as the motel. Very very very noisy. He got woke up at night with slamming doors. People talking and I complained to the management but they just blew me off. I will never stay at this motel again.     We canceled thru Best Western a week before we were to stay and they said they didn’t have us on reservation so to not worry about it. Come to find out that you (book.com ) interrupted and took advantage about interrupting my husband‘sstook advantage of us by interrupting my husband‘s booking at the time before while he was trying to make a reservation through best Western. We tried to get our money back, but nobody would work with us. We did not stay there and we will never stay there again because of the dirty way that you handled our reservation by putting in when my husband was trying to get through to the best Western and do it through them, we are old and you took advantage of my husband. We were trying to do the we were trying to do the right thing and pick book out ahead and we had to cancel because we got a better deal somewhere else leave. She’s best western in our travels but we will not use you use them anymore and we’ll definitely not use Scheduling a reservation through you and not through best Western. They build us for $130 for a stay that we thought we had canceled. My husband had tried to get our money back through book.com and you would not work with him we are not we are old and you took advantage of us. We would appreciate it if you would send our money back to us. You should have our address as you inadvertently came in and he did not know that he was not talking to best western very very upset with you and will never stay at best westerns again and we will let our friends know about booked.com and not to use you either. We are very very upset and we are on a fixed income and cannot afford $130 for a room that we did not use and thought we had canceled.

    That was, however, not the worst part. We booked (and paid) through hotels.com and then were charged for our rooms again by this establishment! We have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this and get our nearly $300 back that this location has stolen from us. Our bank confirmed that they (Best Western Plus Sanford Airport/Lake Mary) withdrew these payments from our account and they (the general manager) are still denying it. He has been the most rude, clueless and unprofessional person I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. They are either the most incompetent establishment on the face of the earth (he said they have no way of seeing what charges were made at their hotel that day?) or they are knowingly stealing from their customers and hoping it gets overlooked. This experience will lead us to never stay at another Best Western again. If you want to save yourself time and money I'd find somewhere else to stay!

    Was double charged for these disgusting, smelly rooms and hotel refuses to admit fault- blaming third party and our bank despite evidence that charges were keyed in by them. Do not waste your time getting robbed by this dump of a hotel with incompetent staff. It is run down, damp, and has a foul odor. Bathroom missing caps in showers, exposing plumbing and you can see thick dust and debris in the vents.

    We were there for a quick stay, heading out at 4 am for airport. Property was fine. Breakfast area looked neat and tidy but were were too early for it :). Room had a slight musty smell but airconditioner worked great and beds were very comfy! would stay again as it's literaly 2 miles from Sanford/Orlando airport.

    Very close to sanford airport. Extremely nice staff at the front desk. Huge selection for breakfast and was promptly ready at 6am before our flight. Alot of different food options around hotel that are willing to deliver to the hotel. Not a horrible thing but the pool is very small and infront of the hotel. So if you wanted to swim everyone on the main road would see you. And carpet on our floor in the hallway looked worn.

    The main issue I had is that I reserved a king suite via hotels.com but was given a basic double queen room on arrival. When I mentioned I reserved and paid for a king suite, the employee said there was nothing she could do since there were no king suites available. I’m currently working with hotels.com to be reimbursed for the difference. We chose this specific hotel since it was the only one that offered a shuttle to the Sanford airport and they were accommodating to that. While most staff was kind to our faces, the one that checked us in seemed to be irritated or annoyed when speaking to other guests on the phone. Overall it served its purpose but I wouldn’t stay again if I didn’t have to and I wouldn’t recommend it unless someone really needed the Sanford airport shuttle.

    My husband, 5 year old and I stayed one night after leaving Disney World in order to catch our morning flight the following morning. Staff was super helpful and friendly. There is a large back patio area for smokers - smoking is not allowed anywhere else on the property; breakfast was honestly pretty good and we greatly appreciated the airport shuttle. A surprisingly pleasant experience!

    The shuttle was a plus, and why we choose this for our one night, and the price.. The pool could not be used as it had not yet been inspected by Florida authorities. The host seemed to indicate they had been waiting awhile. Honestly, it was a bit run down, but the staff were extremely helpful and extremely friendly, and that made the stay ok... One last thing though, definitely the worse shower ever.

    Yes the room was very nice. I was kind of surprised at the carpeting in the hallway. When I got off the elevator on the second floor, we thought the floor was under construction because of the flooring looking like the floor was old flooring but it was the carpeting pattern.

The day staff made sure the concentrator was in first floor room for us. Nessa made sure we got in the right room. Our room was clean, but truthfully could use some updating. The hotel probably gets a lot of use. Our bed was clean & comfortable, which we appreciated. The hotel staff also recommended a driver who picked us up at the airport & got us to the hotel. He was great & we really appreciated that recommendation. The shuttle driver from the hotel was also great to get us back to the airport so we could pick up our rental car. The best thing was that we were able to call the front desk staff directly to set up the delivery of the O2 concentrator. Also we could call them to let them know our flight was delayed & asked if they could put the concentrator in a room for us. That was so appreciated when we arrived at 3 am. Keep the direct phone lines & you have great staff.

I had a horrible night because the room above me around 3 am to 4:30 Am were disruptive and constantly making banging noises. They disrupted my sleep. I was not able to rest properly and had an flight the next morning.

    First walk in to the hotel makes you think it’s a long-term stay for locals place! Check in was very easy and the girl at the front desk was extremely nice! Grabbed our stuff and headed to our room. Got off elevator and the floor we were on was not very clean! Walked in to our room to find a bed bug crawling across the floor in front of us and turned right back around! Headed to the front desk to report we had seen a bed bug and she didn’t seem surprised at all! Checked out just as fast as we checked in! STAY AWAY! I never write bad reviews, and have always kept to myself on things - but, this needs to be known!

    I regret not paying closer attention to the reviews before booking this place for the night. The lobby had an extremely strong gross chemical smell that hits you like a truck(not a clean smell). There was a cockroach in our bathroom. Front desk attendant’s response when I notified them and showed them a picture of it was “Oh…” and that was it. Didn’t have high expectations for the price but this was a terrible experience.

    I killed a roach in my room. The breakfast area was disgusting. I don’t think they wiped the waffle makers down. I’m at least the past 3 years. If you go too late, there’s garbage and food all over the counter. I don’t think anybody is designated to clean and take care of the area. It was not a very clean hotel.

    The carpets look terrible. Like they are bare floors in the middle of construction. They may be clean but appearance doesn’t suggest it. Staff were polite. Breakfast is not served early enough for an airport hotel where people are getting early flights. It should be 4a-9a. Or at least be able to get continental type breakfast of possibly reaped pastry’s.

    Giving a star because the front desk guy was nice and we were able to check in a couple hours early. The hotel overall is run down and in the process of a makeover. The pool was out of service completely which was not noted at time of rental. The biggest issue was we were on the 4th floor and our room was infested with tiny red ants - everywhere.

    Room was basic same as any Best Western nothing fancy Bathroom door was hard to open and close as bottom of it was warped most likely from crappy shower curtain that didnt work very well Free breakfast was good had all the normal breakfast buffet type items The one thing I wasnt pleased with was the light switch on the wall had a light to make it easier to find in the dark but it was so bright that it affected us when we were trying to sleep.     First room was filthy asked for a new room and was rudely told no, but when I said I wanted a refund and I’d leave then another room was produced. Upon opening the door there was a half drunk cup on counter, bed was unmade and dirty towels in the bathroom. I have contacted hotel and Orbitz for a refund and gotten no where. I didn’t leave because of choice but they were unable to provide a room that was clean.

    The first room we were given smelled very strongly of cigarettes. The second room we were given, part of the bathroom ceiling plaster had fallen into the tub and on the floor. At that point we didn't care, we slept there. There was a weird smell coming from the AC fan. Otherwise the staff were really nice and the beds were comfortable, so we slept well.

    They offer parking and a shuttle to and from the airport. They start at 5AM which is great but stop running after 4:30PM. Many flights get in after that so the shuttle is useless. Disappointing. But it is a good location if you need a close stay to the airport.

    Back door broke anyone could come into the hotel and they did. Room smelled like pee had to go get cleaner and a rag from front desk to scrub floors and toilet myself. Shower floor damaged covered up with vinyl felt like you were going to go thru the floor. Shady people all around the hotel saw theives stealing items in the back lot.

    Checked into the junior suite which was not fully cleaned. There was hair on the toilet, brown powder by the microwave, and floor needed to be swept. I immediately notified front desk and they switched my room to a standard king size which cost less. They could not refund me the difference until Expedia would get a hold of them. The entire process was slow. Also the carpet when walking thru the hotel looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed. Stayed just so I had a short drive to airport with a toddler. Next time I will choose a different place that may need to be further out but at least fully clean.

    After we told the front desk assistant about the roach issue he said that we should wait until cleaning team came to get rid of the roaches and he tried to convince us that there aren’t that many roaches. The bed sheets had huge stains on them as though they were dirty sheets on a perfectly made bed. Also, the person that was “helping” us was not the nicest. Don’t not stay here unless you are entirely out of options!

    Honestly, only booked this hotel because it was close to the airport. When checking in, the front desk told us we would have to uber/taxi to the airport on the morning because the van was booked and they only have 7 seats in their new van. Kinda disappointing. I suggest calling to book the van shuttle ahead if they even allow that, and I suggest calling for the hours of operation on the shuttle. Coming back from my trip, they wouldn’t pick us up because the shuttle only runs until 5pm. Also, super disappointing. That uber ride was 22$ back to the hotel. Paid to leave my car there from Wednesday- Sunday 42$. The first room they put us in had a water puddle on the ground coming from the bathroom to the front door, and smelled. But they were accommodating and moved us to another room

    The room was ok. I had two rooms. One for my wife and I. D one for my son and his family. My son was settling in and had cockroaches in the bathroom. He asked for another room and they wanted to charge him a fee and were a little hesitant to give him one even after he showed them a picture. So not very happy at this point he did get another room but will probably not stay here again.

    The front desk person was extremely friendly and nice. However, the actual room looked NOTHING like the pictures posted on Expedia. The couch had a huge burn hole in it; supposed to be non-smoking?!? In addition, the room smelled so musty that I had to run to the store to get air freshener. Combine that with the fact that they were re-caulking their tubs and put us on the floor surrounded by rooms that were being worked on. Couldn't the hotel have started working on one floor and put customers on another. The smell was HORRIBLE and gave me a terrible migraine. Sure, the room was less expensive, but we will definitely NOT stay here again and will look for another hotel in the area when flying out of Sanford Orlando airport.

    The room smelt awful. It was a very deep expect or paint thinner smell. I asked to be moved from the room. Staff said they were doing some plumbing work. I noticed some of the rooms on 3 rd floors had signs not to enter. I couldn’t smell it in the lobby. So I believe he could have moved us down form the 3 rd floor. I finally put my night mask of cotton over my nose and mouth because the smell was upsetting my stomach. It helped . I didn’t get much sleep. Not a happy camper !!

    The main issue with this hotel is that they would not reschedule my reservation and forced me to pay for an extra night. They have water issues and rooms that are not available due to problems with room conditions. I will NEVER stay here again. I always thought that Best Western hotels had high standards, but this hotel has changed my view of this entire brand.

    Unfortunately they over booked and although I had reservation for 2 months ,I find at 1150pm I have no room.However the girl running the desk went out of her way to procure us a room.she was able to communicate in Filipino with the Expedia agent.i have been charged now for 3 rooms,Best western should be cancelled and agent said get receipt and would be reimbursed for Hilton.hilton sent me to garden Hilton inn but when we got there they had no record but I was charged,I was sent across street to homewood Hilton who also had no reservation for me but did fine me a room at 245am..big mess

    To be fair the lady at the front desk was super sweet and helpful. We had a two night stay and cancel the second night immediately upon arrival. The hotel is under construction, the first room we checked in hat insects all over. The second room was decent but enough to keep us there. The hallway was filthy and smell like mold.     Staff was very friendly. Hotel was dirty. Floors needed vacummed in lobby & halls. Trash, food, dirt on floor in elevator. 2nd floor had a "dirty sock" smell. We had 2 rooms...our room had paper debris on floor when we walked in. Room smelled musty & dirty. When we turned the AC on, the "old sock" smell was very strong. The 2nd room shower leaked water because the shower rod was put up too high on one end, so shower curtain would not stay closed & water ran out onto floor. That room had a musty smell as well. Found 2 bugs...1 in bathroom, 1 on kids tablet on desk. Back patio was littered with cigarette butts. Housekeeping and groundskeeping is NOT doing a very good job. We had also requested a playpen, which was not in the room. Front desk gave us one. We chose this hotel because of closeness to airport for early flight...but will not stay again.

    We stayed one night and used the shuttle to the airport. The staff is excellent and so friendly, the shuttle was great and on time. The room itself was ok, seemed clean and beds were comfortable. The only thing I found that didn’t seem very clean was the shower, that could use some updating as well as fresh caulk around the tub. The hotel lobby was clean. We did notice that the elevator floor as well as the hallways were filthy and didn’t look like they had been vacuumed in a very long time. That needs work, the pool area is small but adequate. We would stay here again if we have an early flight.

    On a positive note the front desk staff was friendly and efficient and bed was comfortable. However the negatives far outweigh these positives. There was a disgusting amount of hair in the sink and shower. The bathroom door is so warped it only closes if you slam it. The coffee machine initially was fine, but then only put out water with a hint of coffee. Staff was notified, but after waiting a long time to be fixed we opted to leave and get coffee elsewhere. We got in late and left early and I am so glad we hadn't planned on a longer stay. I didn't expect an amazing hotel or anything, but this was disappointing for sure.

I have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world and they made me, my husband and our oldest son feel like we were/are family ! Whomever does the hiring for this property is brilliant!! Finding this motel was a God send because where we had originally booked a room was horrible!!! We arrived late Monday night/Tuesday morning in the original booking and the place was just NASTY.     We had to change our room because the first room smelled sooo bad, must wet moldy smell. Like they had just shampooed the carpet with dirty water and sealed the room. But they did give us a differe t room that had been remodeled. Wood floors and smelled great and was ery clean.     The hotel is being renovated, so I am very understanding of that. However, our room had a roach near the microwave. Microwave was filthy, old cracked/ rusted refrigerator, bed not comfortable- I could feel the springs. The AC had duct tape all around it and I had to turn it to 60 to even feel it. Breakfast was “ok”, but they do offer a shuttle service so I guess that’s a plus. Won’t be staying again.

    There were places ro eat around here witjin walking distance. The bathroom of the room that we stayed in overflowed when we took a shower. We were able to get anothwr room, but no one on staff even apologized. The pool was out in the middle of the front of the building. The hallways smelled of paint, so you knew they were upgrading many places.

    Picked this hotel because of airport shuttle after flight being canceled until the next day. The shuttle quits at 5p but didn’t show that on site I was on. While at the hotel the power went off and on from 11:30pm until we checked out the next morning. Smoke detector, microwave beeping every 45 seconds. No lights except in entry and bathroom and then had to carry luggage down the stairs because elevators didn’t work without electricity. No breakfast because of electricity being out.

    We were gives a room with a floor fan trying to dry carpet. There were no towels in the room. Front desk person did mot have keys or information to correct the problem. The property had a power outage in middle of night. No air conditioning and elevators stopped working. No staff to be able to carry luggage down 3 flights of stairs. I am 71 years old. Thank goodness my 14 year old grandchild was with me and could carry both of our suitcases, one at a time, downstairs. Cannot recommend

    Beds were too high and hard to get into. Also asked for handicap rooom and first floor due to my wife being handicapped. Lady at desk said they didn’t get these requests but I listed them on the Hotel site. She was able to get us a first floor room though. The lady was acting quite tired due to working a double shift. Asked for a roll away bed but desk lady said the mgr had the key to the room were they were but was off .

    I had an early flight a stayed the night before. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was quiet. Just 7 minutes from the Sandord airport made it great for me.

    Had a late flight and needed a place to spend a few hours. Chose this hotel on pictures of pool area and price. Pool pictures were highly deceptive - shows lounge chairs in photo, but reality is 4 beat up seating chairs and a rickety table.
