    Convenient location to where we needed to stay. Lobby was well kept. Obviously renovated in the last few years, but poorly done. So much dirty carpet, elevators looked and sounded like they were from 1985. No fans in the bathrooms for moisture. Water damage in the bathroom. Carpets and couch were SO dirty. I had to re-clean the room/bathroom before I’d let my kids touch anything.

    and doing us a favor to helping us out. I paid extra for room because online it said “newly renovated” which was not true. Mattresses saw a better days. Sofa bed frame was damaged on two sides Glasses were dirty. And breakfast very poor. Also, you have to pay extra $10 for parking which by the airports areas is usually free

    Front desk staff disappeared several times that I saw while sitting in the lobby. They had to go off to do other things. The phones were ringing and people were trying to check in. They need more help. All staff were friendly.

    Overall I enjoyed my stay at this property. The biggest highlight was the room. It was very spacious, accommodating, and clean. The only thing I had an issue with, which is minor, was the property was hard to locate from the street.

    I enjoyed my stay. I booked for the pool and if I had known the pool hours I would have maybe went with another option. The location is clean and safe but my recommendation is to extend the pool hours.

    The size of the dwellings are extremely comfortable and very nice quality. The rooms lacked an oven for cooking real dinners or food. Would have liked an oven over the dishwasher. But that's just my opinion

    Overall, the hotel was nice. The breakfast was not good & barely any choices. Very small amount of food & the eggs were disgusting. Being that close to the airport, we heard the planes constantly at night. That's not great for a light sleeper. The staff was friendly, with a special shout out to Whitney at the front desk who was very friendly & accommodating. :-)

    Amazing, wife loved the room with a kitchen, it felt and smelled like new all over, this will be our hub stoop for our monthly travels. The Breakfast was fantastic like being at home. Only issue nickle and dime the cutomer to pay for parking , its crazy.

    The breakfast was great, and I love how the breakfast area is set up. The room was just as I expected (we stayed last year too). The room was very clean and had everything we needed, as far as the sofa bed and the kitchen utensils. I came with my family for my daughter's spring break and an early birthday gift, and I was very disappointed. The room and breakfast were great, but the pool was green the whole time we were there (a week- I added a day). We got in the pool the first couple of days as it wasn't that green, but as the days went on, it got greener. The next-to-last day, a child spit up in the pool, and the pool was closed. They opened it back up, but by then, we didn't want to get in at all. My daughter is 10, and the whole reason I booked here was because of the pool. I don't know if we'll be coming back next year.

    Me and my fiancé booked this hotel over the weekend for his birthday it was in a great spot we loved seeing all the planes and the staff were very helpful the hotel was great our only issue was the kitchen was not as clean at it could have been when we got there I noticed the fridge looked like it hadn’t been wiped and being that I used to be a housekeeper I understand it can be difficult at times so I went ahead and just cleaned the kitchen, but as I was cleaning and throwing my cleaning wipes away they were brown so that was a little disappointing also we found a roach on the wall in the bedroom it was really close to the vent so we did think that that’s where it could have came from but to see a roach in your hotel room in general is really disturbing

After first trying to spray - we said unacceptable as we were staying 3 nights- we asked for a new room or a room at nearby hotel. We had to continuously push for a new room before getting one and had to wait for it to be cleaned. We were finally in it at 11:00 at night.

It is advertised as “pet friendly” but when you check in and are already on the property they hit you with a 75 dollar fee. The “breakfast” is slim pickings compared to embassy suites in Portland. The room had water damage and the very worst thing is that the hotel has surveillance cameras EVERYWHERE and appear to be more interested in spying on their guests than protecting them. I will never return and I will be much more suspicious of Hilton suites by other names. Oh and the famous Hilton reception is only on Monday through Wednesdays and not on weekends! It’s a total gas light.

    I selected this motel b/c you advertised it as having a pool and whirlpool. Unfortunately, the motel is under renovation and does not have a functioning pool or whirlpool. I have chronic pain and chose this particular motel because it supposedly had a pool and whirlpool. When I talked with both the front desk worker and the manager, both threw up their hands and shrugged their shoulders, BECAUSE I HAD MADE THE RESERVATION THTOUGH EXPEDIA. I was advised he was having trouble because I'd booked the room through a third party. His system would not accept the credit card used to pay for the room and I'm not sure why. Another card was used and with no issue. The card in question was used minutes later for s few items at the hotel store without issue. Again, I was told it was due to a third party booking ie Hotels.com.

    I really liked the convenience to the Richmond Airport. The hotel offered stay and park with a shuttle to the airport that saved money on parking while we were out of town. The front desk staff were also very courteous and helpful.

    First I will touch on I love Hilton normally their hotels are top Tier. BUT this homewood suit is not at the same standards. I paid 189 a night, the pool water was so dirty that my 13 old son said he didn't want to swim in the water anymore. ( kids don't normally care about dirt) 2nd, There was a spill in the elevator and they cleaned the floor but whatever spilled was still on the wall and by where u press the buttons. I just didn't get a clean and friendly vibe. I have stayed at this particular hotel before and the customer service was good but today my experience with the staff location was disappointing. She was rude, not professional, and really didn't value me as a customers. I am so disappointed in my stay and surprised that Hilton allowed their establishment to go down hill.I came here for my daughter's graduation which was supposed to be special but ending up being a disaster. If u need to stay in the Richmond Airport area don't choose homewood suites Sandton there are plenty of other hotels, less costly and that are new renovated and much cleaner.

    The hotel lobby is nice and they offer free breakfast in the morning. Check in was easy and they have a restaurant right next door which is convenient. We chose to stay here because we had a flight at the crack of dawn and needed to be close to the airport. We booked the suite for our family of 4. The carpet in the room was filthy and the bathroom/shower was dirty and had mildew. If it was not for the fact we had a very early flight we would have chose a different hotel.

    After 50 minutes that the receptionist spend on the phone, I was told that there is nothing that they can do and that I needed to call the third party (Expedia) to try to get a refund. I had to walk out of the Homewood Suites at 1 AM without any help at all. I had never experience such poor customer service as the one from Homewood Suites.

    For an airport hotel this is one of the best ones I’ve seen however don’t expect much in terms of luxury, it’s just meant to be practical and convenient. The leisure options are quite good with a pool, gym, small basketball area and outdoor bbq area, so again not bad for an airport hotel, but the bedrooms are outdated with old appliances and old-fashioned decor… it’s convenient for families and people who prefer to have a kitchen while traveling.

Toilets were installed improperly and shower did not drain flooding the entire bathroom (ADA shower). Very run down in general. Room was cleaned but with no attention to detail.

The desk was missing a handle, the room, tub, and kitchen were dirty, and there were ants in our bed. Needless to say, we did not stay the night there. Now fighting with Expedia for the refund. Would not recommend for anyone. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express and it was nice, clean, and everything we expected this hotel to be.

    It was very frustrating. My flight landed early so I went to the hotel to see if I could possibly check in early. They said my room wasn’t ready, but that I could wait in the lobby. I waited until check in time at 3, then I asked and they gave me a different room — which they could have done an hour earlier. They also failed to mention that the both the pool and hot tub were closed. I chose the hotel for its proximity to the airport and it’s hot tub. The hotel’s redeeming quality was the Mexican restaurant next door. I will not be staying here again.

    The property needs an overhaul. The rooms are outdated, old tvs, worn out carpet and stained showers and bathrooms. The breakfast was lackluster and offered no protein? Like who does that?. Their was trash outside the perimeter daily almost like they didn't monitor it. Lastly, the doors leading in/out of the building were propped or slightly open sp anyone could get in the building. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they get it together.

    I typically stay at this property and am satisfied but this time was different. I booked for 5 days. On day 2, I asked the front desk clerk about housekeeping. I was told “unfortunately, we only provide cleaning every 4th day”. On night 3, I contacted the front desk and was given the same spill about housekeeping only being provided every 4th day. When I explained that the next day would be my fourth day, I was told that someone would come to provide housekeeping services while I was out managing my mom’s funeral. When I returned nothing had been touched. There were ants and ladybugs in my room, that I ended up killing. One was still stuck to the table. I, again, called the front desk and was told the clerk was new and needed to consult with her trainer. I was placed on hold for a while then the clerk came back and basically told me “oh well, you check out tomorrow, all of the housekeeping staff was gone for the day”. I ended up leaving a day early because the hotel doesn’t seem to prioritize my health, well-being or cleanliness. Not once was a housekeeper made available. They have to do better to protect individuals.

    The rooms are very tired and in need of a remodel. The mattresses were worn out and the fitted sheet didn't fit. They do not provide housekeeping automatically, but you must call for housekeeping, and when I did, I was told it was only offered every 5th day. We had to carry all of the towels to the lobby to trade for new ones. Breakfast was adequate, nothing to talk about, especially in the times of Covid. And we got stronger WiFi from the Microtel next door. If I were to go to the Richmond area again, I would not stay at the Homewood Suites. For the price, there are a lot of other places to stay.

    I was extremely disappointed that the pool was closed. This was not noted in the website description. I was told by the desk when I asked about the pools location that it hadn’t been used since covid. I have stayed at other hotels this year and they have their pools operational. If I had known beforehand that it was closed I would have chosen a different place.

    The employees were friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of items. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite which had a roach in the kitchen area. The wallpaper was coming off in the bathroom. When we turned on the jets in the tub, nasty scum came out of the jets and ruined our experience. The front desk told us there was not another jacuzzi suite available, but they would add some credit to my Honors account. Not exactly the experience we paid for!

    We stayed 2 nights in two different rooms. The first had mildew on and a leak in ceiling. They weren't able to move us until the next morning although they were concerned and worked with us. The second night we discovered that it appeared the refrigerator was leaking and the carpet was soaked around the kitchenette.
