Breakfast was great - desk staff was wonderful- technician who came to help with the cable was very personable and wouldn’t stop until our issue was resolved . The only item I was weary of was the shuttle driver who flew past us in the opposite lane of traffic. as we waited to pull into our parking spot. Then squeezed past us as we were backing up into the spot. There was barely enough room for him to fit by. But we have stayed here before due to positive past experiences. We will likely stay again in the future.

Good facility, convenient to airport and surprisingly quiet, given it is in the flight pattern for the airport and backs up to the expressway. Didn't experience any noise while inside the property. Breakfast was adequate but the service staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Professional, friendly and extremely competent. Would recommend if you are traveling with pets as they seem to be the only hotel in the area that allows pets (with an additional deposit/fee). Only surprise we had was the $10 for parking but otherwise, a pleasant stay.

The staff was amazing, however, when it came to my room the counters weren’t completely wiped down and the I needed the maintenance person to come to fix the refrigerator/ freezer as it was blowing warm air. Other than that my stay was really nice.

I didn't eat breakfast, don't normally eat breakfast. I wasn't informed that I had to pay a$100.00 incidental fee and asked if I was parking on site. Afterwards I was informed that I would be refunded $90.00 of the incidental fee because they were charging me $10.00 for parking. Hotel Policies indicated "Free public parking on site, reservation is not needed."

Staff could have been a little more gracious, rather than providing monosyllabic answers and offering no suggestions about using the amenities provided, such as how to get on wifi, that the pool was not operational, that check out could not happen until after 3:00am on the day of departure, etc.

Nothing The gym was closed by the employees because they didn’t want to clean it this weekend with all the guests. They were discussing it in front of us. Also, an employee declared the lobby closed at 10:30 for “quiet hours”. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me.

This was the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. No room housekeeping. 1 day out of 7. Had to go down to get clean towels because no one ever brought them to me. Breakfast was so-so. Not the normal at other Hampton Inns. I DID NOT GET HILTON POINTS FOR THIS STAY FROM HILTON. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN AND I WOULD SUGGEST ANYONE INTERESTED GO TO THE HILTON GARDEN INN NEXT DOOR!

Never got a chance to like anything,we never got into a room, there was a mix up with the dates BUT it was corrected before we got there according to the emails but when we got there the desk clerk was in the back room eating and when he came to the desk and looked up the reservation he said we we still on for the March check in,even though we showed him all the emails we gotten. We had even gotten the lady on the phone with booking .com and she was talking to the clerk at the Hampton and he hung up on her, she refunded our money ( we will see) in 7-10 days and we went to the hotel next door and got a room for like $60 more, the whole experience was awful, it should have been an easy fix but it was made very difficult? The whole experience sucked??

I told the person at the front desk that the refrigerator was not working and a bottle exploded from it getting frozen. Just wanted to tell her so that other guests would not have any issue. She must have taken that as a complaint as she said as much.

The airport shuttle is a joke. The hotel does not have a shuttle. Rather, there is a driver serving multiple hotels who, depending on how busy he/she is, will pick you up. I had two guests arriving at different times. One waited at the airport over an hour for the shuttle driver to arrive because, according to the driver, he had multiple pickups for multiple hotels. The other guest had a 7AM flight and was told the ride to the airport (5 minutes away) would pick her up at 4AM, that no later shuttle was available. Totally ridiculous. In both cases my business associates took Uber/Lyft to get to/from the hotel.

Loved the location and the fact that there was a free shuttle to the airport, a breakfast included. My tv wasn't working, there was an issue with the payment I was charged, and I was disappointed that I had to keep going back downstairs to the front desk to get issues resolved because there was not enough staff available. Also, I had expected the hotel to be a bit cleaner than it was.

Breakfast and location were fine. Had a major problem with my check in. I made a reservation through booking.com which I had to change. Booking.com made the change but the hotel did not receive the information, therefore the hotel said I did not have a reservation for the day I arrived. I had to pay for a new reservation even though I already had a reservation. Very disheartening and time consuming!!!!

The room heater was loud and blasted air directly at the bed. We ended up being charged 75$ for a pet fee when the website stated it was supposed to $50. Will be calling the manager to get this corrected but hotel/expedia misrepresented the fee.

We have family within a mile of here and are here several times a year. We will choose another hotel next time and will not recommend this one to family!

Hand -held shower should always be required, but the valve to switch from shower head to hand -held is close to 7 feet. I was in a handicap room. Someone shorter than my 5'11" could never see it much less reach it. And impossible for someone in a wheelchair. There is no hook or peg outside the shower to hang a towel. The shower curtain ends 3 or 4 inches from the shower ledge, consequently the floor will always be wet. And all the soap and shampoo dispensers need another half inch on the spout.

The young lady that checked us in was not pleasant at all she was not welcoming she mad it seems like we were bothering her if you have cameras there at check please review we checked around 3 o'clock on the 13th of September this young lad is heavy set with braids in her hair there was another lady standing beside her that actually looked at me and gesture her head to speak. That gesture was more than the check in lady did the whole few minutes we stood there A first impression is usually made within 7-10 seconds of entering a building and this young lady did

The hotel was very nice, clean and friendly staff. The issue was that I purchase the stay through Hotels.com for $173.25, then when I arrived, they charged me $121.57 for my stay and then $100 for incidentals that I will get back. I talked to the lady at the counter and she told me that the charges were correct. I do not understand why I was charged on Hotels.com and at the hotel. I travel a lot and never had this happen. I paid $300 for the room!

Mattress was too soft or needs to be replace. Staff could have been friendlier. On checkout I requested checkout receipt and was told that Booking .com would be responsible for this. In the past month we have made reservations through Booking.com and each location provided a receipt upon request.

One of the hotels that doesn’t automatically supply any housekeeping service for a stay-over unless you ask for it, so the first afternoon we got back the TV was on, not left that way by us, but the room was unmade. The shower door was broken so we reported that and I suppose the maintenance person came in and turned on the tele, but apparently did not have the needed supplies to fix the shower door. We were also surprised by a nightly parking fee but I suppose that was listed somewhere. Breakfast was fine. Most all the staff was pleasant.

The front desk said they didn’t have a technician to come fix it, they didn’t have another room because they were fully booked. We had to go to a different hotel which is not the problem. The problem is they would not refund my money for the 2 nights that we did not stay there. I have no issue paying for the days we used, but not refunding a customers money on your hotels inadequacies is unacceptable. Would not go there ever again and will make sure I tell my colleagues that have to travel to Richmond frequently for work not to stay there.

When we asked the front desk person, she was a bit short and borderline rude in her response. needless to say, our 4 year old had to sleep on a makeshift airbed we fortunately brought with us.

Comfortable, up to date location near the airport. Stayed the night. The parking lot for the hotel was packed, with only one spot available. Outside of that, I thought the hotel itself and the room was nice.

Pool wasn't clean and smelled funny according to my daughter. A/C was arctic blast or tropical and very noisy when the condenser kicked in. Breakfast sucked, limited and the only egg offering had green pepper in it. We stayed one night out of five and still don't have a credit for the 4 nights we didn't stay. And being close to the airport we got to count the number of flights.

The problem for us was the shuttle service- 40 minutes from the airport to the hotel and after waiting an hour to try to get back to the airport we called uber. Not reliable if you need to catch a flight!

Very nice property. Seems new. The area feels safe. I would give this a solid 4 except for the staff, the lady at the desk was not friendly or welcoming at all. We had to wait at least 5-minutes before she showed up to greet us. She got the job done but definitely needs some work on her people skills.

We picked this hotel for the 24 hr airport shuttle service. We called ahead to give them a heads up and they told us to call when we arrived and they would send a shuttle… this was NOT false. No shuttle between 12-4am then they told us 24 hr service is not true… needs to be updated on website!!

I loved the location of the property. I had a view of the lake. The room was very clean and spacious. Staff was knowledgeable and I have no complaints. Definitely would recommend.

The building is nice and rooms are clean. However, customer service from the front desk is the worst from any Hilton property i have ever stayed at. They were rude, not helpful and acted as if you were in inconvenience. This is enough for me to never stay at this location.

My stay was not a satisfying experience. If I had not checked in at nearly midnight and the weather was better , I would have left immediately. I try my best not to complain so I made the best of it. The room was not clean . There was hair on my pillow when I came in the door. The wall in the bathroom had something brown smeared on it, and it was not cleaned properly at all. The tv only played one channel. Then the cherry on top is they overcharged my card $285 for who knows what without me having any incidentals. I’m not ever recommending this property in Sandston to anyone!

The property was clean, quiet and very conducive to a peaceful night’s rest. The breakfast was delicious, boasting a very nice selection to choose from for any appetite. We had a small issue with the bathroom but we were given another room quickly. We were well pleased. I would stay again and recommend to others as well.

There were many ants in our room. The front desk moved us immediately but it was annoying and inconvenient bc I arrived with an exhausted kid and we had already changed into PJs and were sitting down to eat some dinner. The rooms were otherwise very clean, beds comfortable and noise level was very low despite the proximity to the airport. The hotel was clearly recently renovated, although somewhat shoddily as there was paint from the furniture on the walls etc.

The property was clean and staff was top tier everyone was so friendly. The hallway on the 2nd floor was very hot not sure if A/C had a problem or what but once in the room A/C was good. Also the bathroom door lock didn't work. Overall I would stay here again!!

The hotel was convenient to the airport and clean and comfortable. I found it ridiculous that I had to pay for parking and they didn't even valet park my car. You are basically paying tiuse one of the parking spaces. I did not know this when I booked through Hotels.com.

There was vomit on the pool deck. When I reported it, the counter said they "would let the next shift deal with it." Equipment in the fitness center was poorly maintained and inaccurate. Televisions wouldn't change channels in room or fitness center. A sad example of poor maintenance and lack of attention to details.

Nice, clean property with basic amenities and breakfast. The staff were friendly and polite. However, there’s only 1 person at the front desk. If one particular customer has an issue, and you’re waiting to check in, it’s going to be a long wait. Also, the hotel is right next to the airport so be mindful that you will hear the airplanes taking off and landing depending on the flight path.

Stayed here for National Championships. Was conveniently located Room was clean, staff super nice, breakfast good. Only slight drawback was the early (6ish) sound of jets taking off from the airport right down the road. Would recommend a stay here.

Needing lodging for a short stay near the airport for late incoming flight and a very early morning flight 3 days later, and this was a great choice. While it’s a middle-of-the -road kind of hotel it suited me fine. It was clean and quiet, and offered a shuttle to the airport and a simple yet respectable breakfast. I was very happy to see full size bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash and lotion mounted to the wall in the bathroom instead of those miserable little wasteful plastic bottles. I got a good price through Expedia so I was happy!

The hotel was nice, close location to interstate and shopping. The bed pillows were made for small children. Never seen such small bed pillows!!!!! Made sleeping difficult.

We had a quick overnight at the Hampton Inn. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Perfect for what we needed. They accept pets and the breakfast was really good! We would stay again.

While I gave the property a 5 star review, there is one “heads up” to those in wheelchairs. The room we had was said to have a roll-in shower. Though it had the grab bars, it was not a roll-in. There’s about a 3” edge to get over. That being said, everything else was fantastic.

Arrived late in the evening with no dining options still open at airport and nothing at hotel. Would be helpfull for the hotel to have a few microwaveaable meals that could be purchased. Also did not know shuttle service had to be scheduled or call for since it does not run continually either during the day of evening.
