The room was ok, but the air conditioner kept me awake. It kept making noise when it would come on. The next morning my husband was taking a shower and there was red hair (a lot) on the shower wall.

The foyer area did smell a bit like cigarette smoke. Not sure why. The foyer was not amazing or inviting. Very dated. The rooms were pleasant, clean yet very humid and the sheets felt a bit damp from the humidity in m the room.

It's a nice, clean place to stay. It needs a little updating and the garbage in the common areas needed to be attended to more often. There is definitely airplane noise but nothing crazy. There is a Sheetz and a Wawa nearby for food and/or gas. I'd stay here again.

Maria the front office staff was amazing, she is a star and so competent and kind. The bartender complained so so so much about being alone with her job. The breakfast is mediocre and $15. The room was clean, but still some foreign hairs in the shower.

The hotel is directly under the flight path; prepare accordingly. I only slept at the hotel and didn’t spend my waking hours there. Between the ear plugs and AC, I didn’t notice the planes. The room was clean. I did not use any amenities during my stay.

There was a sewer smell in the lobby and elevetor. Also the room security deposit was 100 bucks and it did not release the same day as they promised.

We only stayed one night but the room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was we had no regular coffee pods in the room, and when I called, they didn’t have anyone to bring it up. Other than that, a great option if you need to stay near RIC.

Stayed a whole week. Used the bar and restaurant. Front staff bar staff and cleaning staff were all very friendly and helpful. Drinks and food were great. Rare for a hotel. And since its been recently renovated, rooms and mattresses are pristine.

Excellent customer service, warm friendly staff and our room was clean and the mattress comfortable providing a good night rest. The dining experience was great, breakfast as well as dinner. We were given a warm chocolate chip cookie by the front staff. Although there was a conference being held there everyone has cared for with a smile and with respect. I highly recommend for cleanliness, customer service and comfort.

My daughter and I were on a college visit and chose an hotel close to the airport between our two visits. We booked our room for two nights. Our room smelled musty, the shower/room had signs of mold and the sink dripped water. The air conditioner could not be adjusted up or down. We did not want anyone to service our room since we had personal items in it and would not be returning until late that evening. Upon our return that evening, the musty smell was more pungent. Thank goodness we had an early flight out the next morning.

I was running ahead of schedule snd called and asked about early check in. The lady on the phone and lady at the counter were all so accommodating and nice. And scheduled a shuttle from the airport willing and happily. The room was clean and cold it was hot outside.

Smelled of dirty mop, urine, and smoking.! The elevator was slow and the hallway smelled of pet urine, dirty mop, and weed. The craftsmanship in the bathroom was substandard, and the a/c is very loud.Unacceptable for this brand.

This was by far the worst Doubletree I have stayed at. However, it still rated as average. Our toliet kept cutting on and off automatically and it was very loud. The hotel restaurant needs to be updated. The beds were uncomfortable. Very average pending below average stay.

Great customer service! After traveling all day, we arrived at midnight to check in and were greeted with amazing hospitality and a warm cookie! I feel like we’re in a movie! Excellent clean rooms and great food. Close to the expressway and airport! Superb!

Very convenient for anyone needing to be close to RIC airport. Very clean and comfortable room. Nice staff. 1st night was great, 2nd night was horrible, but only due to occupants next door whose had the TV blaring up until 1am, then again at 4am, and once more at 7:30am. Made for a very unpleasant stay and rough day the next day.

I’ve stayed multiple times because of traveling for work in the area. The staff are very friendly and the lobby is very nice but the rooms are dated and have an unpleasant odor… paint missing on the walls and faint stains on the carpet. Definitely due for a remodel

The original young Lady, that Was checking us in was really cordial and sweet but when Brittany took over we were giving attitude and rudeness. The elevators were not working so we had to go through the kitchen and laundry room to get to the service elevator to get to the fourth floor.

My check in experience was just ok. Hospitality management requires your check in people at the front desk to greet people to make them feel welcome. Maybe she was having a bad day. With so many hotel options, I decided on this one because of previous stays in different cities AND their warm cookie at check in. This Richmond DoubleTree sucks. Now that I have a family and traveling with kids, my lil boy is past the play pen stage but sleeps in a crib at home. I decided to ask for a crib-I placed it in comments and called the next day. The front desk staff was adamant that since Covid there are none. I decided to call back for a manager, was sent to her voicemail and to this day I have not received a return call. Later that day I decided to wait for shift change to request one. Lo and behold, the staff member not only called the same manager I left a vmail for, he also called housekeeping and called back with good news- they’ll have one at check in. Well, husband went to check in while I settled the kids for Thanksgiving at grandma’s 10 mins away. He calls and says there’s no. Crib, front desk said there hasn’t been any since Covid and was curious who said they’ll be a crib. I gave the employees name and was told he doesn’t work there. Now I’m fuming and trying to keep my composure around in laws and my children. We have 2 kids with us and one King size bed-no bueno. He calls back 20 mins to say he was told to check the room for a crib. The crib was in the room. When we got there around 9pm, the bathroom smelled like rotten eggs and the base board was separated from the wall! AND no cookie at check in or check out the next day. Plus a closed kitchen!

I would like to hear from corporate. My room was very cold and even when setting the thermostat up to 85 the room did not get warm. The telephone did not have a dial tone so I had to use my cell to call the front desk. The TV remote would not allow you to adjust the volume, so the tv coujd not be watch with out being very loud.

We need a refund; we booked this on website, paid, and when we got to hotel they told us they were all booked and we had no room. . …. And I noticed we were charged twice!!! I had called and I was told that all parties (the hotel and Hotels.com)will see that we didn’t get checked in so we wouldn’t be charged… but not so! Still waiting for this to get resolved.

- There is no alarm/pull chain in the bathroom near the toilet if the person were to fall off of the toilet and require assistance. - There is a bathtub in the accessible bathroom. This might work for some people with disabilities but not one in a wheelchair. There should be a roll-in shower. - The grab bars in the bathtub were coming out of the wall and were not securely fastened to the wall. - There should be a button to automatically open the door outside & inside once the occupant swipes the keycard to enter/exit the room because the door is heavy and someone with limited mobility would have difficulty entering/exiting the room without assistance of another person. - The coffee maker was sitting on top of the microwave which someone in a wheelchair may not be able to reach, so there should have been a lower counter that accommodates both the microwave and coffee-maker. Some good things about the room, while few, the room was quite large allowing for easy movement around the room if the person is in a wheelchair, and the bed was low to the floor for easy entrance into the bed. Another complaint was the noise from other guests that were out on the patio that carried up to the room.
